I was so impressed by this quick retelling of the little mermaid in a sci-fi setting. I also thought it was a creative spin--to have the voiceless mermaid translate to an android without vocals

From a short story about an android who develops feelings and falls for a human! She gets a new body but it doesn’t have a voice box AND the guy she’s in love with is in love with someone else AND her new body is going to run out of power after which she will die

I must avenge Linh Cinder- Half joking, I just thought it was an interesting twist on the Little Mermaid story

It's a really cool and creative retelling and the character is really likeable. The story can be read as part of the series it accompanies or on its own but if you love imaginative, romantic (in terms of tone, not romance) sci-fi, this is great.

and I only realized this because when I was writing the tag for the little android I saw the the little mermaid tag?

I had to clarify that the “current” look is for Season 9, because I’m not sure how or if he’ll change for s10 yet! The “current” version is essentially his updated “default” look! Thought I might mention also that “Back Around” on the loose timeline lineup at the bottom is a reference to a song on his playlist in which he takes some time away from everyone after re-deviating to re-remember and find himself <3

Side note: Etho wears his mask under his chin mostly just around bdubs, but he starts wearing it down more often around doc, tango, or others who are used to seeing the damage. More than anything else, he’s sure to keep it for protection purposes when he’s outside working, exploring, or anything else that isn’t just hanging and chatting with friends :]

EB was back.

Tommy couldn't stop staring, expecting EB to vanish the moment he blinked.

EB didn't seem to mind, sticking closely to Tommy's side, his LED a cheerful blue.

He seemed somewhat fixed. He had glitches.

He was limping.

EB never complained, but Tommy noticed his leg occasionally seizing up. Caught his irritated looks and annoyed pouts when it hindered his movements.

“I missed you, Tommy,” EB said suddenly.

Tommy's heart skipped a beat. “Yeah?”

“Yeah. The androids at CyberLife are so boring. Like, would it have dismantled them to talk to me while they had their hands all up in my circuits?”

Tommy smiled, trying not to picture anyone... fingering EB's wires. “No. Shame on them.”

Xisuma’s Season 8 has made me certifiably insane and I’m so glad this drawing challenge lets me out of my enclosure to share some of my insanity with yall— dbhc flavored, because of course! <3 This song is actually such a bop, highly recommend it!! It’s pretty early on in dbhc Xisuma’s playlist, representing the uh… Introduction/ Entering The Scene of a certain someone, and it foreshadows the horrific vibes of Xisuma’s season to come. I am so so so normal about this song, I’m positive it would be higher on the list had I found it a little earlier in the year

Although I will say, I was actually really excited to see this song rank at 69 because I knew people would request this number LMAO plus I’ve been drawing so much Xisuma lately so i was super excited to be able to draw and post some of my brainrot finally >:]
