{Pokes head out}
Hiiii, would you mind sharing some TLS Lightbulb head canons of yours?
Hehehehehe do I ever? >:)/silly
•TLS Lightbulb is very prone to sticking to groups of people as a form of distraction and escaping. However she is prone to shut down under extreme stress, but when she does she tends to just spiral bc then she has time to think of things she rather ignore
•She once accidentally snapped at Trophy after Reboots LB death which caught him and everyone around him by surprise. She then very quickly laughed and tried to play it off
•she loves researching things about the outside world and taking notes on a little pad she has. She got really knowledgeable of stuff such as gems and weather patterns. She thinks the outdoors is pretty and couldn’t wait to leave to see it!
…She doesn’t do this anymore.
•before Fan died she went up to the roof through the hole the Fans and Test Tube made and just watched the sunset
•She is the only Lightseeker to still call Meeple home
•she’s also the only Meeple worker to not know what her job is
•She tries to eat Meeple technology. She is the reason Meeple products now have a bitter taste
•she misses the early days of the blog when everything was fun and would give anything to go back

Wait.... WAIT.
WHAT.

It's not fair that dragon age confirmed lyrium was blood and thus all magic powered by lyrium is blood magic and the templars themselves are probably blood mages. And then didn't allow me to see the political and social fall out of that. But also didn't allow me to see Thedas academic reactions to that.

Hey so I really love how Davrin's vallaslin is handled in Veilguard and how it ties into not only his arc, but his internal conflict between two halves and the choice at the end of his character quest.
First of all, I'm gonna say god/Creator rather than Evanuris for this post because I'm not talking about the actual historical elves with all the associated baggage and atrocities, but the maybe-false but still culturally meaningful constructs the Dalish created out of ancient half-remembered history to be their gods. In reality and even most fantasy, Gods aren't literally real, but are always meaningful. In universe, vallaslin are unique. In opposition to the default set that a player character gets to choose between and is also applied to generic NPCs, Dalish characters with bespoke facemorphs have unique vallaslin designs. Identifiying a particular Dalish elf's vallaslin in-universe isn't so much checking a chart for an exact match as it is studying the design elements and recognizing the symbology of a given Creator. Elgar'nan is represented by a play of light and darkness. Mythal by the boughs of a great tree. Falon'din by a design that is "as above, so below." And Andruil and Ghilan'nain are represented by a bow and horns respectively, as the hunter and the mother of halla. Writers have confirmed that Bellara and Cyrian's vallaslin honour Dirthamen, god of secrets, mysteries, and lore. And of course they did! It's pretty obvious where these two truth-seekers would be aligned. But the same writers were cagey about answering who Davrin's tattoos represent, and I think this is on purpose, because Davrin's vallaslin are meant to be ambiguous.
Tumblr media
Assume they're for Andruil, the hunter who loved testing herself against stronger and stronger foes, who was revered by the Dalish as a warrior and a protector and who could never bear to remain at home. You can see the curve of the bow, the point of the arrow. Now, assume they're for Ghilan'nain, the nurturing creative spirit who created the gentle halla and then cared for them as if they were her own children. Now you see the delicate lines curving up into the shape of horns, crowned by a second set at the top.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Davrin's mentor, Eldrin, wearing Ghilan'nain's vallaslin, alongside a render of the player character's options for Andruil's Vallaslin.)
You see where I'm going, right? This is Davrin's character arc! His internal conflict! The brave and fearless warrior ready to throw himself into the arms of death vs the caring and soft-hearted surrogate father to a magical creature. The young man who couldn't bear to stay with his clan vs the boy who sang to the halla. And the choice he and Rook make together at the end of his quest, where Davrin's conflict is reflected onto Assan and the other griffons. Brave fighter or nurturing caretaker? The hunter or the shepherd? Schrodinger's vallaslin. Devs won't clarify which it's intended to be because it's intended to be both.

moonstone guild of arcane scholars | a sims 4 dump teaser
the moonstone guild of arcane scholars traces its origins to the the mooncasters, spellcasters who harnessed lunar magic and became the first werewolves. over centuries, the guild has grown into a haven for those seeking to master shadow and light. with its guiding motto, unitum sub astra ("united under the stars"), the guild welcomes seekers of wisdom and power across realms. do you have the courage to join their legendary ranks?
notes: a teaser for new teen sims dump. rishika (above) and lucien from this lookbook will be included along with 3 new classmates. stay tuned!
hey guys, just got back home from a nice holiday week with my parents and big bro! i've got some good inspo for building that i'll be working on but also wanted to do some more sims dump hence the above.

Assassins With a Smile: Veilguard’s Crows and the Neoliberal Fantasy of Elite Violence
In Dragon Age: Veilguard, one of the most ideologically revealing choices is the elevation of the Crows—a privately-funded, aristocrat-aligned assassination mafia—as the “reasonable,” “pragmatic,” and even morally preferable faction.
From a materialist or leftist perspective, this is completely absurd.
From a neoliberal “only the competent elite matter” perspective?
Tumblr media
It’s textbook.
Fantasy Mafia, Market-Approved
Historically, the Crows have been portrayed as a dangerous and murky force in Dragon Age lore: tied to political assassination, noble power games, and mercenary corruption. In Veilguard, however, they’re recast as Antiva’s best hope for order. Not justice—order. The message is clear: yes, they’re a velvet-gloved knife-wielding death cult, but they’re our velvet-gloved knife-wielding death cult.
The game positions them against Ivenci, a civil reformer who wants to build a real justice system not beholden to mercenaries. But Ivenci is ridiculed—portrayed as fumbling, overly idealistic, out of their depth. Despite the fact that their proposal—building a civic institution not held hostage by mafia violence—is objectively more just and more sustainable.
This is narrative rigging. It's a rigged ideological binary:
Community violence in sexy coats vs. goofy bureaucratic reformer.
A Fantasy of Grassroots Violence (for the Elite)
And then comes the final blow: Ivenci, who once stood for structural reform, ultimately sides with the Antaam—the game’s imperialist invading force. It’s a real betrayal, framed not as a tragic misstep, but as confirmation that civic reformers are untrustworthy power-seekers.
Instead of showing how power corrupts across factions, the game uses Ivenci’s fall as an ideological shortcut to erase the entire premise of state-building or institutional justice. They're imprisoned, discredited, and narratively discarded—clearing the path for the Crows to emerge as the “pragmatic” default.
This isn't complexity. It's a sleight of hand. It says:
→ “The only people you can trust with power are the ones who already have it.”
→ “Don’t build justice—outsource it to the velvet-gloved aristocrats.”
It’s an Ayn Rand worldview, dressed in Bioware romance dialogue.
Neoliberal Logic in a Dagger Sheath
The rehabilitation of the Crows follows the classic neoliberal pattern:
Institutions are weak.
The people are disorganized.
Reformers are foolish or corruptible.
Power belongs to those who wield it efficiently—and attractively.
The Crows aren’t grassroots. They’re aristocracy with better lighting.
Calling them “what’s best for Antiva” is like calling a hedge fund good for your local school district.
And yet, Veilguard sells them with a straight face.
Assassins, Rebranded as Community Leaders
The game doesn’t critique the Crows—it markets them.
We’re not invited to question their structure, history, or legitimacy. We’re invited to romance them. Align with them. Accept their violence as “necessary.” It’s a fantasy of privatized justice, sold as stability—and one where the public never gets a seat at the table.
In a series that once explored mage rebellions, chantry corruption, and religious revolution, Veilguard trades in its radical edge for something safer:
Sexy murderers who keep the wheels turning.
Final Thought:
If the “reasonable, grounded” option is a fumbling, noble-funded assassination guild that keeps dropping the ball—and your game still treats them like the good guys...
...You’re not telling a story about justice.
You’re telling a story about why the powerful deserve to stay in power, no matter how many times they fail.

hiii omg! i am obsessed with this already. i don’t know if you will do anon emoji claims, but if you do, i would love to be 💫! i can’t wait for more posts about werewolf!SKZ!
an interesting ask, how would each meeting between (reader) and a member go? would it be something straight out of a fantasy book, like on a stroll in the forest on a full moon, or would it be something as simple as meeting at a park while (reader) walks their dog?
Welcome 💫Anon! You have claimed your emoji. Welcome to the pack. You are now one of us!
Your ask is not just interesting, but also the perfect segue to introducing the lore behind soulmates, bonds and knowing our characters more. You, my beautiful, wild anon, have set the stage!
Let us first search the archives for soulmate lore.
S O U L M A T E L O R E
🌙Werewolves have only one mate, and no one, wolf or human, will appeal to them apart from the mate destined for them.
🌙The soulmate is said to be determined by the Moon, but it has also been noticed that mated pairs tend to complement each other's personalities and habits. There is a balance, chaos and order, as everything in nature.
🌙When a were finds their soulmate, they begin to undergo subtle physiological changes. There isn't an immediate recognition (like imprinting in Twilight or knowing just by the first touch, like in other lore). However, the body and soul recognise a piece of themselves. Some changes that take place are:
They begin to get desensitised to pheromones apart from the ones released by their mate.
Their entire system begins to rewire and gets attuned to their mate. They become hyper aware of them and can sense the slightest changes in their emotional, mental and physical state.
Weres develop either strong protector and/or provider instincts.
The bond demands proximity until the mates acknowledge the existence of the bond. Until the bond is acknowledged, wolves will find themselves constantly needing to be near their soulmate, whether they like it or not.
🌙When both mates acknowledge the bond, something clicks within them. The soul no longer feels restless. The wolf retains its wildness, but it is no longer a frantic or desperate wildness.
🌙There are no rituals for acknowledging the soulmate bond. No magic bindings or symbolic bites. But when a werewolf initially feels the bond click into place, the dormant primal within them awakens. This is because finding your soulmate is finding the last piece of yourself, and consequently, every part of the soul awakens. It is like putting in the last piece of an electric circuit. Everything lights up.
🌙When the primal awakens, there is an urge for the mates to go into the wild. This is because the primal needs to prove that they can protect and provide. Most weres choose to give into this urge during the full moon as a way of honouring the Moon Goddess, seeking her blessing over the bond. There are practical reasons for this as well.
🌙While the basics of the soulmate bonds are the same for Dominant and Created weres, there are certain differences in how their wolves and primals respond to the bond.
How You Meet 🐺Bang Chan
He smells you before he actually sees you. He's at the only park in the small town a few miles away from the pack settlement when the scent of dark coffee and something like raspberries filters through the myriad other scents that he's learned to tune out. His eyes find you without much effort, drawn to you like a magnet. You're playing hide and seek with a group of small children and you have strategically placed yourself on a leafy branch of a tree. His eyes meet yours just as the tiny seeker wanders under the tree you're hiding in. You give Chan a broad smile and press your finger to your lips. It is the epitome of childishness, but a dormant, quietly primal part of him is ready to guard your secret with his teeth bared. No one will ever hunt you if he has anything to say about it. After the game ends and the children scatter, you make your way to him.
"You have a keen eye. You should team up with me when it is my turn to seek. We'll find the littles in no time."
He just nods. From then, he's at the park often, a new addition to the playgroup. And if he gets a little giddy every time he is on your team and you win, well, that is no one's concern.
🐺Minho
Minho would never have met you if it wasn't for Han. You and Han had become friends when the server at the local coffee shop announced to you that they had run out of blueberry muffins. One dramatic dialogue about the tragedy of it later, you and Han were fast friends.
You were at the same coffee shop with him months later when a storm blew out of nowhere. Rain cascaded from the sky in sheets, rattling windows. Han called Minho and begged him to come and pick you both up so you would not get washed away from the surface of the earth. Minho had been tempted to ignore Han's call but eventually decided that taking the car was better than dealing with Han's dramatic whining later.
If Han alone was noisy, you and Han together were nothing short of a cacophony. But somehow, when the car filled and echoed with the sound of your laughter, it didn't grate on Minho's nerves. And when you sang completely off key to the songs in Han's playlist, his lips almost twitched into a smile. When he pulled over at your apartment and you grinned at him and said, "See you again, MinMin," he'll never admit it, but he hoped that he would see you again, even if it meant hearing that ridiculous nickname.
🐺Changbin
You saw Changbin before he saw you. You watched him argue with the ducks in the pond, trying to convince them to eat the bread he was tossing into the water. When the ducks quacked back, you were almost convinced that they were communicating back with the man who looked like he could you snap you in half, if not for the pink bunny eared hat and the sunflower sling bag.
You had spotted the problem early on. The chunks of bread that he was tearing were too small and soaked up water quickly, effectively becoming fish food instead. It took you a couple of tries to get his attention, your voice far too soft in the chaos of his conversation with the ducks. You explained the issue and showed him how to tear the bread, your fingers precise. He took advantage of your shyness, and while you refused to meet his eyes, he studied your face with a broad grin on his. When the ducks dove after the pieces you tossed to them, he cheered, dubbed you the duck whisperer and insisted that you tell him your secret to duck whispering over a coffee.
🐺Hyunjin
The only reason Hyunjin allows you to tell people the story of how you first met is because your eyes light up with a different kind of delight at the memory.
You met Hyunjin from the other side of a door, literally. You were trying to leave the building where you worked, while Hyunjin was trying to enter it. Except Hyunjin kept pulling a 'push' door. The wooden door wouldn't budge when you tried to open it. Unaware of the events taking place on the other side, you yanked the door at the same time that Hyunjin realised that he had to push it. The momentum sent him crashing into you, and you into the ground. His first thought was that you smell delicious, like lemon cake. Your first thought was that he is an idiot.
You began to see him around more often, and when he finally brings himself to ask you out for a coffee, you told yourself that you agreed only because you wanted him to stop walking backwards on the stairs.
🐺Han
Han had been using your office as a place for him to safely ride out anxious episodes when the world around him gets too loud, too overwhelming. He first stumbled across it by accident, the gentle scent of lavender and vanilla drawing him in. He didn't know whose office it was, but it felt safe and that was all he could focus on. The lights were gentle and warm, unlike the bright, clinical white lights that the rest of the office used. The curtains were translucent, letting in enough light during the day without becoming a safety hazard for vampires (it is the only way he can describe the ambience). There is familiarity. The lavender and vanilla diffuser is always from the same brand, as are the chamomile tea bags that are kept on the shelf. The blanket on the two seater is always rabbit fleece, alternating between pale green or deep blue. He knows that they are laundered every week, and that the owner of the office uses lily scented softener.
The first time you meet, he doesn't even realise you're in the office. He stumbles in, throws himself on the two seater and screams into the pillowy cushion. He screams again, this time out of fright, when you tap his shoulder to silently hand him warm chamomile tea. You let him ramble out apologies and explanations, and when he stops to breathe, you tell him you don't mind him using the office since you're hardly in it, preferring to work in a shared space with your team. You're just glad that you were able to create a space where someone finds safety.
🐺Felix
You hated bullies, and when you saw those three jocks picking on the platinum blonde boy who only ever had smiles for everyone in your department, you saw red. You didn't even know him, but he showed up for class with wildflowers in his hair and a smile that radiated sunshine and you believed that innocence like that was sacred.
Jock 1 had barely touched the little purple sprig tucked behind the fae-like boy's ear when your fist flew. Your knuckles split against his jaw even as your knee came up between his legs. Jock 2 and 3 must have seen something in your eyes, because they simply grabbed their friend and scampered. You tucked your fist against your side, the blood invisible against your black tee and leather jacket. Once the three bullies had disappeared out of sight, you turned to head back to your seat when a cool hand reached for your uninjured wrist.
"I have an herbal paste for your knuckles in my friend's car. He likes to box without gloves."
When you look back at that day later, Chan will tell you that it was an interesting sight, seeing Felix with the sun reflecting off his hair, decorated with wildflowers, and you, a good foot shorter, clad in all black and a warning on your face, make your way to his car.
🐺Seungmin
Everyone knew about the pack settlement on the outskirts of town. After all, it was common knowledge that weres preferred to have their homes closer to wild lands and when that pack had moved there, over two decades ago, the townsfolk were happy to let them build their settlement. Having the pack around meant that the town had just a little more protection from the dangers that lurked in the woods. And dangers did lurk there.
Those dangers did not deter you from your whimsical ideas though, and you found yourself exploring a deeper section of the woods late one afternoon. You're so lost in your own head that you don't hear him behind you, following you. It is only when you stop to sit, wanting to rest your feet, when you spot him from between the trees. You freeze, instinctively realising that this is a predator and you might be prey. But when he steps closer, you can see the disapproving frown on his face.
"I've been following you for nearly an hour and you did not even know. You're a hazard to yourself." He says flatly.
"Maybe. But somehow I get the feeling you aren't a hazard to me." You reply. He both hates and relishes how certain you sound.
After that, even though you never tell him when you go on one of your impromptu wood wanderings, you know he finds you and keeps you safe, even from yourself.
🐺Jeongin
You don't have a very clear memory of the first time you met Jeongin, so you have to rely on his recollection. You know it was a party, there was a lot of dancing and there was a lot of alcohol.
For as long as you can remember, you've been the life of the party, confident and outgoing. This party was no different, except there was a sweet faced boy, with a smile that made his eyes disappear, hiding in a corner and not dancing. You grooved your way to him, giggling when his face turned scarlet as you wrapped your arms around his neck and moved. Jeongin says that you didn't grind up against him, nor move in a way that made him uncomfortable, but you did insist that he dance. Eventually, he did dance, if only to keep you away from the beer kegs.
Apparently, you gave him many nicknames. When he recounts some of them, you aren't entirely convinced that he isn't exaggerating just to mortify you. You made him drive his brother's car around the neighbourhood twice before actually showing him where you lived. When he asked you why, you said it was so he knew the place well enough and would not get lost when he picked you up for your date.
Though you were mortified, with a good side of hungover, something warm bloomed in your chest when he showed up the next morning with soup and an after party survival pack.

Thank you so much for this ask, my beautiful 💫! I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!

July 22nd DA:TV Game Informer article (their last DA:TV coverage article) on Everything we Know about Bellara - cliff notes:
Bellara is Dalish elf (played by Jee Young Han as we know). There might be more to her than meets the eye
"Now, with two of [the elven] gods on the loose, magic has poured back into the world in a big way"
CC is expansive
Bellara is the first companion we will recruit (Neve and Harding join automatically it seems)
She is a mage, a Veil Jumper (who she represents), quirky, energetic, effervescent, optimistic, bubbly, academic, a tinkerer, an explorer of ancient elven ruins
John Epler wrote her and led her development, and collective team effort from lots of departments brought her to life
The BW team really love her
Gary McKay quote: "I love Bellara, I think she's fantastic. I see people that I know in her and so that's how she really resonates with me. I love the whole tinkerer aspect to her. It was a collective to bring that character to life. It was everything from the writers, to the editors, the animators, to character modelers, to the texturing, to how we light her. I'm really proud of that character."
She is a good choice in combat for both support and elemental combos. She starts out as a support character, but can be built in other ways
She attacks with a bow at range using electrically-charged arrows. She can also cast time-slow and healing spells (she can be built to heal Rook autonomously). She does this by channeling magical energy into her gauntlet
As such she leans into electrical damage
Damage type matters a lot in the strategy and tactics of combat
She can unleash a devastating vortex to pull enemies into an electrical storm (an AOE spell)
She can debuff enemies with the shocked affliction, which makes them take passive damage
Corinne Busche quote: "Oh my goodness, she is amazing. [The Veil Jumpers] investigate the ancient ruins of Arlathan. Everything about her character as a mage leans into that, but she also challenges the kind of archetypal idea of a mage."
The Veil Jumpers journey through Arlathan where the ancient empire used to exist and left a lot of artifacts and magical technology behind when it disappeared
Bellara represents this yearning to find the truth of who the elves were after they lost their magic, immortality and a lot of their history
"they still left a lot of their artifacts and a lot of their, for lack of a better term, magical technology behind"
John Epler quote: "A lot of what they know of their past is based on myth, it's based on rumor. Bellara is a knowledge seeker. She wants to find out what's true, what's not; she wants to find the pieces of who the elves used to be and really understand what their story was, where they came from, as well as figure out where they're going next, and find a future for the elves. And within the context of The Veilguard, she joins the team, first of all, to help stop the gods because Bellara feels at least partially responsible since they are elven gods, but also to maybe find a little bit more of who they used to be. Because again, you're dealing with these elves that were around millennia ago that have now reemerged into the world, and who better to teach her who the elves used to be than them."
Magic's place in the world in DA:TV differs from prior games. In Tevinter and other spaces in DA:TV it's much more present by definition and the lore (though the devs wanted to make sure magic didn't violate previously-established lore rules)
Solas is a "determined and tragic character" who "tends to wallow". [nb, these are quotes from the article]. in contrast, Bellara has seen a lot of tragedy in her backstory (we will see this as we get into her arc), but instead of wallowing, she has forced herself to push past it. "She looks at her regrets, and she tells herself, 'I don't want to feel regret'
John: "Whereas again, Solas tends to wallow in his to a large degree. And it allows us to create a very big differentiation. Part of it is also because Solas is an ancient elf, whereas Bellara is a Dalish elf, but she just sees a problem and wants to solve it. She feels a tremendous amount of responsibility to her people [...] to the Dalish, and to the Veil Jumpers, and that drives her forward. That said, she does have her moments where she has doubt, she has moments where she has a more grim outlook, and there are moments where you realize that some of her sunny, optimistic outlook is kind of a mask that she puts on to hide the fact that she's hurting, she's in pain. But in general, she doesn't see any benefit to wallowing in those regrets."

That night, Piston snuck out to follow Breakdown home, unfortunately, there were Seekers in the woods and Nova Storm found them first.
Inspired by Depeche Mode: Policy of Truth
You had something to hide
Should have hidden it, shouldn't you?
Now you're not satisfied
With what you're being put through
It's just time to pay the price
For not listening to advice
And deciding in your youth
On the policy of truth
Things could be so different now
It used to be so civilized
You will always wonder how
It could have been if you'd only lied
It's too late to change events
It's time to face the consequence
For delivering the proof
In the policy of truth
My first long form comic!!!! This is canon to Earthspark and how Piston loses their T-Cog. (They live!) Bumblebee loses his voice from crying. Breakdown is resolved to get back to Cybertron for a new T-Cog. There will be a part two! And I also would like to do the Breakdown version that's canon to my Last Mile Marker AU. It's completely different but same vibes.
But this is why I make Piston so goofy, baby isn't even a Cycle old and doesn't know any better. They are my funny little lamb who is happy to be alive. I have alot of things I want to say but I'm really proud of this, I did it over a 3 day weekend so I'm sorry if anything is wonky. (Did you know that the Seekers have hooves?)
Also, I always worry that Bee comes off like he dislikes Piston in my work but I feel like it's more complicated and he doesn't have anyone he can talk to about it. Bee is very much a "I just want to hold my baby" parent but he can't, as Piston is so large and how do you express that out loud? Bumblebee is acutely aware that Piston would've been a child-solider if they were born during the war and it keeps him up at night. He is adamant that Piston never knows what suffering is, and in turn Piston ends up a little too sheltered. Bumblebee and Breakdown argue a lot over raising them. A particularly bad one is when Breakdown wanted to encourage Piston to discover if they had a built-in Stinger like Bumblebee and Bumblebee lost his mind over the suggestion. It doesn't help that Piston wants to be exactly like Breakdown.
In part two I want to draw a poem/musing Ratchet has to himself while repairing Piston's arm. Nova Storm lore in the undercut!
Nova Storm is the Big Bad in The Last Mile Marker AU. She has beef with Bumblebee and takes any opportunity to hurt him. She's a massive hater. Why Nova Storm? I hear you ask. Great question! She's yellow :) With damaged optics and low light, Piston confuses her for Bee at the worst possible moment. But honestly, I wanted a Seeker and I have Megatron and Starscream off doing their own self-reflections and working for the greater good. I wanted someone different with unique motivations and Skywarp is on the Bee-Team. Why does she have beef with Bumblebee? Another great question! During the war, Bumblebee was in charge of a team and one member offlined Nova Storm's conjux. She blames Bumblebee and is out for revenge.

i'm always thinking about hdm/daemon aus for dragon age, bc they would just be so Neat. consider:
pre-veil, daemons didn't exist. the veil created them. solas is initially like "oh fuck, these people are walking around with their souls cut in half and exposed outside their bodies? this is a TRAGEDY. they're barely even alive. smh."
he technically has a daemon now that the veil exists, but, it is trapped in the fade or possibly in the black city itself. for the duration of dai, he's just pretending to have a daemon to avoid seeming weird. presumably either just says "ohh uhhh, my daemon is a very small shy creature and doesn't come out to talk" or gets a spirit to pretend to be it.
mages have permanently "unsettled" daemons. they can probably feign sticking to one shape most of the time to hide as apostates, but it's not natural to them.
tranquil, of course, have no daemons. RIP. probably a similar but opposite effect with possessions, where the daemon starts getting weirder alongside the person.
seekers have daemons. totally. they definitely have not been replaced by a very similar spirit. don't worry about it <3
morrigan has a partially severed daemon bc it's more tactically useful by flemythal's standards. so she got morrigan to drive her daemon off by force at a young age and send it on scouting missions. morrigan feels normal about this.
flemythal does not... have a daemon. seemingly. (it's probably bc she's always possessing someone else's body and their daemon dies when she does that...)
dwarves have no external daemons. this is also why they're considered to be more resistant to magic than others. maybe surface dwarves sometimes develop daemons? this is considered "ough they've fully rejected the stone >:(" or "waow they're finally blessed by the maker's light <3" depending on who's considering it.
qunari have an Item of some sort that has their soul in it. for instance, sten's sword. this is also why they consider tal-vashoth to be super dangerous and unhinged, bc they often abandon/lose/break their Item during their desertion, and even if they get a new one, the qun no longer recognizes them as having "souls".
i think darkspawn do something fucked up like try to eat people's daemons on the battlefield/capture them into the deep roads/etc. this is partially why they're so feared, it overrides one of the only taboos of warfare.
probably as the calling progresses, a warden's daemon starts looking... uncomfortably dragon-y and blighted when their time is nearly up.
there are wacky conspiracy theories that the archdemons are just daemons of something else, driven mad by being severed. that's wild! surely not true! the chant of light clearly states otherwise, and solas says there is no lore written anywhere to support that theory. so that's fine. don't worry about it <3
