#art #traditional art #watercolour #fanart #synthv #frimomen #you know the other day i had a realization about body hair. i had never thought about it before but i noticed how a lot of people draw #like arm hair and stuff really straight and neat. and i thought that was just an aesthetic thing. until i looked at nearly every person #i met that day who wasnt related to me. and i realized. oh fuck. my scraggly ass arm hair is kind of an outlier here #im quite fond of it. its fun to poke and play with. its pretty long and sticks whatever direction it wants. my dad and older brothers arm #and leg hair are the similar its just a genetic thing but i found it wild that so many people irl where i live just have really straight #arm hair LOL but anyway while i was drawing this i was ABOUT to give frimo straight body hair because i dunno. now that i know so many #people have it ive readjusted my perception on how to draw body hair BUT then i also thought huh. he has light waves in his head hair #and more importantly. i wanted to draw hair like that one random like 2 inch arm hair ive got that sticks directly out at all times #because its really fun LOL but i dunno. i think my scraggly arm hair suits him.

Hi!!! A few rendered practices of my Minecraft sona for a server i'm playing on currently because I've been thinking about them a lot over the past few weeks + a few tidbits about them heeheehoo

I've said this on twitter already but I think the reason that stelvar scratches such a specific itch in me is that it's friends to lovers but due to stellan's council obligations and avar being the marshal of starlight (and the conflicting responsibilities/stories that entails) that they actually get their share of rivals/enemies to lovers tropes wrapped up in that which is extremely fun

#like wave II - III stelvar falls pretty much into a class of its own in terms of ship tropes I like but also hits a lot of them #they're childhood friends so you get the friends to lovers aspect but also there's the petty snipes and the conflicting goals #and stellan's whole thing with usurping the marshalship of starlight out from under her #(which granted I get avar's vendetta toward lourna wasn't healthy. but the narrative reasons for her frustration are sound)#star dorks #light and life #r: firebrands

human!au raphael getting an intervention from lucifer and gabriel except it’s not an intervention, it’s a kidnapping to take them on a roadtrip vacation, and they manage to get raphael out of their bed and down the hall before they break gabriel’s nose, and lucifer (<- this was entirely his idea and he thought it was a great one) starts trying to explain what’s happening before they kick him down to the floor too, because who the fuck is that guy, they don’t know him, they don’t recognize his face or his voice since lucifer transitioned after their dad kicked him out of the house and cut contact.

and then that’s when michael shows up at the other end of the hall holding A Fucking Sword that he grabbed off the wall because their house is filled with weirdass shit, flips on the light switch to find gabriel bleeding all over his hands and the floor, lucifer flat on his back still trying to tell raphael who he is, and raphael having a panic attack because THEY WERE BEING KIDNAPPED. by their brothers. BUT STILL.

family reunion <3 (<- adam is also there. he was not supposed to be. michael snuck him in through the window because raphael doesn’t like him.)

#when the lights flick on btw lucifer stops dead trying to speak and just stares up at raphael #because raphael has also transitioned while he was kicked out. their dad was a terrible person but he wasn’t transphobic alsjfkfjks #it’s very funny to me if he was actually very supportive of his gay son and trans child and whatever gabriel is. he just also told lucifer #to fuck off for unrelated reasons.#anyway. lucifer stares at them because they look so different and even panicking and just dragged out of bed they are so pretty and he’s #suddenly hit with this overwhelming wave of both pride for them and also grief that he wasn’t there to help them transition. and then #raphael kicks him again because he moves too fast and they’re still panicking.#raphael spn #gabriel spn #michael spn #lucifer spn #poor gabriel. he didn’t even want to do this. he literally only went along with it because lucifer was going for it either way.#and he knew raphael wouldn’t recognize lucifer. hell he barely recognized lucifer.#michael also doesn’t. adam DOES because he and lucifer have fucked before. once. he is NOT telling michael that.#lucifer might if he gets grouchy enough. just to piss michael off.

If I impress nothing else on people, I hope I can impress this: human eyes do not change color. They literally can’t. Eyes darkened with arousal does not mean the irises are actually literally darkening, it means the pupil has dilated significantly, which makes it look darker, because the pupil is black and when it’s blown out the iris contracts and become thinner, which means less color, which means a dark eye. It’s not literally changing colors

#she speaks #no your hazel eyes don’t change color either #that has to do with the way the light is hitting and reflecting off your irises #some light makes some colors stand out more than others #and hazel eyes tend to have several pigments in them #so different light waves will bring out different pigments which gives the illusion of a color shifting eye #but I digress #this is one of my biggest pet peeves #your pupils dilate in the dark so you can see better yes #but they also dilate when you see something you like for the same reason: so you can see it better #your pupils dilate when you see a pretty flower or yummy food or a cute puppy or someone you wanna bang #that’s why people get dark-eyed when they’re aroused #I just read a fic where the writer wrote that the character’s eyes darkened just around the retina #and that’s incorrect on a few levels #first like you can’t even SEE the retina that’s literally inside your eyeball #second EYES DONT FUCKING CHANGE COLOR #THEY DONT THEY JUST DONT #STOP 😭😭😭😭😭

#tw period #im so sick and fucking tired of this shit #like. im not even in extreme pain! im at low-to-medium level discomfort that comes in waves all day #but that's the PRELUDE. my period hasn't even officially started yet #and i don't know what this means. idk if this means i'll be slammed as if by a fucking freight train tomorrow if i don't take my meds #i think it will bc that's becoming the norm. light periods are quickly disappearing or few and far between #im so tired #(doesn't help that i didn't get enough sleep last night but still)#and i feel that while my periods are pretty brutal they're not the level i see people with diagnosed endometriosis speak of #i've got meds that pretty much suppress the majority of it leaving me with just an undercurrent hum of pain #which is a fucking blessing btw bc without them i would be almost unable to function on day 1 and 2 #so im like well ive got something that works and it's easily available drugstore medication so surely it can't be THAT level of bad #like. it's bad. but it's not [insert chronic illness] right?#i just don't fucking know. all i know is that this sucks and it happens every month and im uncomfortable to go on hormones and just.#it fucking sucks.#i remember when my periods felt the way im feeling right now (as im yet to start bleeding) and it scares me #idk if it'll get worse but it sure ain't great already #anne speaks

naively assumed my latest plant purchase needed repotting since all the other plants i've gotten from that store have but much to my surprise i pulled out what appeared to be a bunch of cuttings masquerading as a real plant that did not really have a root ball? whatever they got a new house anyway. hope she makes it

#he was $2.50 on clearance so like i would be sad but it wouldnt be a major loss #like there were some roots it just definitely didnt need to leave the 2 inch pot yet. but it was too wet in there anyway i think #so maybe for the best? idk #maybe i should have separated the cuttings and made like 7 plants #im running out of places to put plants though due to living in a garage which has few windows and the roof extends several feet out #so the north/south windows dont get very much light at all and the loft ones are fine but very small.....#also i have to leave some windows for the cat or he'll riot (throw my plants on the ground) eliminating 2/6 windows #the north facing ones get so little light theres barely anything i can put there and one of the south ones belongs to the cat #as does one of the western ones. friend lent me a grow light but its pretty big and would have to hang i think and i don't have anywhere for #that either. think i should get a small more portable one or something #low (very low) light plant recommendations appreciated. i already have a zz + calathea + spider + crispy wave + dracaena that seem pleased #anyway. the only reason i would want a bigger living space is so i can have every houseplant on earth #OH and i just got a glass vase and i want to make a terrarium out of it. also desperately want shrimp and moss balls but waiting until i #have an income for those i think lmao #me
