God damn I just-- I can't get over how much Style wants this kiss. Just the way he seems so quietly pleased? The hopeful anticipation in the look he has? The way it isn't triumphant but still eager? Like Style isn't even excited for this because he 'won' the silent battle of wills, but because he is genuinely yearning to kiss Fadel.

But even before it starts; the soft fondness in the look he gives Fadel while he's just staring at Style in silent judgement. The way he leans against the car and puts himself on display for Fadel's viewing pleasure. Because Style is just... he's so in love with Fadel and there isn't much Style can do to solve any of Fadel's very real problems in the moment (broken arm; on the run from the law again; a brother that's missing, wounded, and possibly feral with rage), but hey there is ONE thing that could maybe help them both relax and feel a little better and take their minds off the things that have to wait until the next day.

But also just... the way the mere brush of his fingertips on Fadel's skin is enough to make Style's eyes go half-lidded with pleasure. The way he stills and allows Fadel to move him. The way he is so clearly open and wanting and welcoming but isn't pushing for more, how he lets Fadel set the pace and will take whatever Fadel is willing to give with quiet elation, with silent joy.

This was more than just a desire for physical pleasure, this was a yearning for intimacy.

For Fadel to give Style a chance to replace the memory of Fadel's anger and tears with softness and tenderness again.

For a chance to show that Style meant every word he said tied up next to an empty pool and finally, gloriously free to be honest that he had fallen in love and that there was no going back for him.

Ya know, obviously Siffrin (whose name auto correct keeps changing to suffering, which is pretty fitting lol) went through hell and back with the loops. All the angsty art and fics around that I totally get and love to see, however I like to imagine the toll their whole journey took on everyone…

It’s brought up in the game how the King’s power over Vuagarde had a huge impact on Bonnie with their sister + with Mirabelle having the weight of saving a country on her shoulders, but I can’t recall if anything was brought up with Isa and Odile? (Oh nooOOoOo, how awful I can’t remember! Guess I’ll just have to rewatch a let’s play of the game again! What a shame… /j) So yeah :3 Nightmares for everyone! Though Sif definitely has gotten quite a lot more baggage from their journey (which I do intend to make art of eventually..)

i adore how quick the boys are to help crutchie when he needs it. no discussion, no pity, just support.

when morris pushes him over, it isn't jack (who is right there) who helps him up, neither is it race nor romeo, who we saw him interact with earlier in the song. it's albert who helps him up, and it's albert who carries him until he gets his crutch back. did they have a system? was it albert's job to carry crutchie when needed? was it because they're close friends, and we just never get to see it again? or was it that any of the newsies would have done it, but albert happened to be the closest?

when the nuns hand out food, kid blink and smalls don't hesitate before hoisting him onto their shoulders. jack and specs both place their hands on his back to ensure that he doesn't fall backwards. it's so smooth, so natural, like they've done it a million times before.

and note: i don't think crutchie interacts with any of those characters (albert, kid blink, smalls) at any other moment in the musical.

conclusion: crutchie is so so loved.
