absolutely insane the kind of money they poured into prince of tennis back in the day
EVERY character has at least one song most characters have multiple songs some released multiple albums
they formed entire idol units within the cast and had those release albums as well (Ao to bin to Kan, Aozu, Cap to bin, Nasu)
the manga author got multiple songs made for him to sing
i have over 400 songs downloaded and i was PICKY when choosing them
none of you understand how much PoT contributed to my anime music obsession

written for @steddielovemonth Day 19 prompt: Love is helping them unwind after a rough day (@lihhelsing) and Love is the comfort of quiet moments (@tboygareth) Rating: G | wc: 718 | no cw Tags: established relationship, fluff, teacher!steve, rockstar!eddie
Steve knew when he started teaching that his job wasn’t always going to be easy. That for every breakthrough lesson he taught where every one of his students understood and had fun learning, there would be just as many days where he left as frustrated as the kids because the material just wasn’t clicking.
Today was one of those days.
No one was more excited when the dismissal bell rang than Steve. Usually, he’d stick around, grade a few papers, or mingle in the teacher’s lounge but today he packed up his bag just as fast as his kids and bolted to his car.
All he wanted to do was get home, unwind, and have a nice night with Eddie. Maybe make dinner and finally watch the movie Eddie rented a few days ago for them to watch before he got called in for a rewrite session at the studio.
Steve makes it no more than ten steps into the house before his sock-covered foot collides with something hard. At first, he thinks it’s their senior dog Joe — it wouldn’t be the first time he’s tripped over him — but as Steve tumbles to the floor, he realizes he’s tripped over Eddie.
His ass breaks the fall, colliding with the cold tile with a force that’s certain to leave a bruise — one Eddie is no doubt going to poke and prod at because he’s a gremlin, but that’s a problem for later. Right now, he needs to figure out why his boyfriend is currently sprawled out on the floor in the middle of their foyer.
“Rough day?”
Eddie’s response comes in the form of a groan, seemingly too tired to respond with his words. He kicks his legs out farther, starfishing on the floor before scrunching his eyes so tight Steve wants to knead the doughy flesh on his forehead.
“Yeah,” Steve sighs, “me too.”
“Floor time,” Eddie mumbles, patting the spot next to him.
The time it’s Steve who responds non-verbally, grumbling incoherent words as he lowers himself gently to the hard floor. He’s careful with his head, tucking one arm under to act as a cushion. The cold shocks him for all of two seconds before he feels himself sinking into the tile. The weight of today’s shitty day disappears as his body finally relaxes and the world fades into the background.
Steve doesn’t do this as often as Eddie does, but it’s nice. Really nice. They don’t listen to music or talk about their day. They don’t kiss or touch beyond an occasional hand squeeze. They simply lie there with their eyes closed and listen to the sound of their heartbeats.
He had joked once that what they were doing was a form of meditation, but Eddie had scoffed at that — not wanting to participate in the “latest conformist trend” that is yoga, so they call it floor time instead.
As Steve lays there, enjoying the feeling of the cold tile on his tense muscles, he can’t help but break the no-touching rule and reaches his hand out in search of Eddie’s. He finds it immediately, taking his ink-stained hands into his own. His fingers curl around Eddie’s ring-clad ones and he gives it a gentle, reassuring squeeze.
“I love you,” he whispers, soft enough that Eddie might not hear him.
But he does.
Eddie always does.
“No talking during floor time,” Eddie quietly reprimands, before squeezing Steve’s hand back in return. A moment passes before, Eddie tilts his head to the side and opens one eye to look at Steve. “Love you too, baby.”
In a little while they’ll peel themselves off the floor and head into the kitchen to cook dinner. Steve will playfully swat Eddie’s hand away from the simmering pot of sauce and he’ll give him those big puppy dog eyes until he caves and lets him get a taste. And then they’ll sit across from each other at their small dining room table playing footsie while they each vent about the shitty days they’ve had before retiring to the bedroom where they’ll take turns taking each other apart.
But for now, it’s floor time.

My trip to Venice Mall
Desolate, that’s the word that comes to mind when you take in the chubby plain faced girl, trotting behind her parents in heels she hasn’t yet learnt to properly walk in, with a moody look the only makeup for her dulling skin. Her black and white kurta complimented her figure nicely. It wouldn’t be so bad to date her, one might think, with a hint of superiority, reflecting this author’s own sense of inferiority. She looked the serious, studious kind, this girl, but her coloured hair gave her the look of someone who indulged in things considered bad, say smoking.
Walking abreast were, in varying amounts of obesity, the mother and father. Is there some significance to positioning mother before father? Is my subconscious trying to tell me something? Ah, leave such matters for Freud! My readers moan. Very well, then. We shall continue. The mother clad in black, a busty middle aged woman whose bright pink lipstick wore her and a pot-bellied ageing man with hard work and diligence etched onto his face. Rather unassuming, plain folk wouldn’t you think? The hair on their heads didn’t turn grey for nothing haha.
We look at the daughter again. How she wishes to lie in the comfort of her blanket, reading that book that had become her latest obsession, had consumed her so largely that she’d begun to adopt its title into her meals. Butter, butter, everything butter. The exploration of same sex desire. It was no coincidence, she decided. And that brings us to thoughts of her greatest love, a former friend, someone she let consume her entirely. She missed her, as does this humble author. It’s a great loss, a pain that seeps into your very bones, making you so weary that you just want to curl up in your bed and cry and oh, how wonderful would it be if someone were to hold you then!
This mall that the family went to, it was…it was empty yet beautiful. Superficial, in a sense, with phony-looking people roaming the halls of the scattered showrooms. A towered, twisting staircase- pretty, a good place to make out, her university-trained brain muses. The artificial, blue shallow waters and the simple electric boats, the walls carved and painted to look just like Venetian homes- it all seemed such a bore to this thought daughter. Yes, that’s what she was, is. A new woman, utterly besotted with culture, the humanities and art. Pinterest, reddit, Instagram, tumblr, spotify, her journal and books, access to anime, movies and tv shows, writing poetry, learning from professors and students, researching, debating, spontaneous writings, all this gave her soul the fire that had been dangerously close to going out in recent times. A tragedy, indeed, for an eighteen-year-old, a fledgling, to have gone through so much. Even as I write, delicious music plays in the background haha!
At the floor just above, the aroma of baked goods wafted up to her, tingling her nostrils. Her mouth watered, anticipating salt, sugar, fat and carbohydrates in the most scrumptious combinations possible. And oh the joy when she finally had the taste of those Korean Soboro cream buns! Perfectly crispy, rich with butter, light and cool when settled in the throat and a steaming cup of coffee on top- heaven in the truest sense. That was precisely the moment that this young depresso became a happy espresso, even agreeing to have her pictures taken! Good food can do wonders for your mood, mind you. The people working there were so well- mannered and polite! And the girl that served the coffee and confectioneries was so cute that our protagonist yearned to be her age and a man. Again, the themes of the novel she’d been reading hit her like a maelstrom. Will her skin glow too? Shall she let go too of what society demands from her? What would happen?

ugh I freaking love qz Joel. Thinking about spending time with him in that crappy little apartment makes me akdkfkfheh. Like that crappy little apartment being your little haven. The world outside went to shit and people suck and everything is ugly and terrible. But being with Joel in these 4 little walls, you’re happier than you’ve ever been.
Cuddling with him on that creaky, too small bed. Lounging on the worn out sofa in his arms while reading or listening to music, watching the rain fall outside and gossiping with Frank over the radio. Joels arms around you as much as possible because he always wants to be touching you in some way. (And you know he’s always listening to the gossip!)
Forcing him to play board games with you. Half the pieces are missing and sometimes you have no idea what the rules are but you just make up your own.
Trying to make cute dinners with old, out of date cans and trying to bake bread and even though it’s a bit too hard and chewy, Joel eats it all anyway because you made it yourself.
And on some nights, when he’s feeling especially sappy, you dance around the living room together. Some simple swaying, with his arms tight around you and his nose buried in your neck and your chin on his shoulder. There’s no music because the neighbours would be too annoyed but you don’t need it. All you need is Joel, and all he needs js you.
Yeah, this crappy little apartment really isn’t so bad. 🥺
I love qz Joel
OMG QZ Joel in love ❤️
November 2013
Life in the QZ was still hard.
That was a constant. You still worked long hours. Joel still made dangerous runs outside the walls to get by. Things were deteriorating and FEDRA was... well, FEDRA.
But in so many ways, life for you was better than it had ever really been.
Yes, you were missing many of the trappings of the life you'd once dreamed of having. You didn't have your own restaurant where you designed the menu or a four bedroom house with a tree that had a tire swing in the back yard or the ability to go lay on the beach for a romantic vacation.
But you had more than that in all the ways that mattered. You had Joel.
He moved in with you more than three years ago now and you hadn't expected it to be all that different. You spent most nights together, anyway, how different could it be?
But it was. Coming home to find Joel there every day, his presence a constant comfort, was different. Lying on the couch, bodies close together as you read or listened to music or watched a movie that Joel brought back from one of his trips outside the QZ. Cooking dinner with what you could abscond with from work. Holding each other close in the small, worn bed when the power was out in the dead of winter, warm and safe together. It was all different.
The way you got to know Joel was different, too. Beyond the odd conversations that had made up most of your relationship outside of fucking, you got to know him the intimate way you can really only know someone you live life alongside.
The small irritants and the simple pleasures, the preferences and the pet peeves. He was yours to know this way, in a way no one else got to. It was something you treasured, this closeness you'd never had with another person, something that you thought might just be worth surviving the end of the world.
It was lightly snowing when Joel got back from his latest smuggling run. He was good about sticking to his return estimates - you worried when he didn't come back when expected and he didn't like being away from you anymore than you liked him being away from you - and you were working on the QZ version of chicken pot pie (all canned but what can you do) for when he got home.
Joel came in the door in the door, shaking snow off his coat, just as you were putting the top crust over the pie, pinching the dough together to seal it.
"Hey Baby Doll," he wrapped his arms around your waist from behind, his nose pressing into your neck and breathing you in before planting a kiss there. "Missed you."
You turned around in his hold and wrapped your arms around his neck, smiling and kissing him deeply.
"Missed you, too," you smiled against him, kissing him again. "Seems like you came home in one piece this time."
"Just sore," he kissed you again and again, smaller pecks this time.
"Not so sore that I can't fuck your brains out later, right?" You teased, pressing your front against his, nuzzling his nose with your own.
"Baby," he smiled a little. "I ever say no to that, I'm going to need you to take me out back and kill me. Definitely an early sign of infection..."
You laughed and he kissed you one more time.
"Gonna get cleaned up," he said. "But brought you somethin.'"
"Oooo," you smiled, turning back to the pie. His arms tightened around you. "Go get cleaned up so I can thank you properly."
He laughed a little and kissed your temple before going to shower. You knew he'd trim his mustache and beard after, that he'd try to clean the sink of the little hairs but you'd undoubtably find a few along the edges. You liked knowing these things about him, being the keeper of all things Joel.
The two of you had dinner - sitting beside each other instead of across so you could lean your head on his shoulder when just being next to him wasn't enough - before you moved to the couch and Joel plopped his overstuffed pack on the coffee table.
"No idea how well some of this is gonna work," he cautioned. "Been more than 10 years. But figured you'd want to give it a shot..."
He opened the pack and pulled out strands of Christmas lights. You gasped, hands covering your mouth and eyes going wide.
"Joel!"
"Hang on," he said, still going through the bag. He pulled out a VHS tape, several bags of pills, a book, setting them all aside. He seemed to find what he was looking for then, something wrapped in an old shirt. He unwound it before handing it over to you, a large scented candle in a jar. You opened it and breathed deep, the smell of pine almost overwhelming you. You were about to say something else, but he cut you off.
"Just sit tight, Baby Doll," he smiled. "Gettin' too worked up too quick..."
He kept digging until he found another shirt, this one lumpier than the last. He carefully unwound it, pulling out about half a dozen ornaments and setting them out on the table.
"Don't think I can manage to get you a tree, even a fake one," he said, cupping the back of his neck. "But... well, you always talked about missin' Christmas and it's gettin' to be that time...."
You flung yourself at him, your arms going around his neck and he had to catch you to keep both of you from winding up on the floor. He laughed, holding onto you as you kissed every part of his skin you could reach.
"This is the best," you kissed him. "Present." Kiss. "Ever." Kiss.
He laughed again.
"Figured we can decorate once you figure out what you want to do with it..."
"I have an idea!" You said, stretching your legs down until your feet were on the ground again and you could pull back enough to look at his face. "Can we try it? Tonight? Please?"
He kissed you.
"Already?"
You nodded and he laughed.
"Alright, Baby. Anything you want."
Joel helped you string the lights up in a zig-zag pattern that resembled a tree on the wall and you plugged them in, almost giddy when you discovered that they still lit up. You draped the extras around the living room, a multicolored glow coming over the peeling wallpaper. You hung the ornaments from the tree-shaped strand and moved the coffee table before building a nest of cushions and pillows and blankets on the living room floor. You put on a jazz record - not Christmas but close enough - and lit the candle before turning off all the lights in the house. You squealed - you couldn't hold it in - and Joel laughed, the two of you settling in on pile on the living room floor by the glow of the Christmas lights.
"I do good?" he asked, a lightly teasing edge to his voice.
"You did amazing," you smiled, pressing close to him and looking at your light tree.
"Shit, almost forgot," he said, reaching over to the bag and unzipping the smallest pocket. He fished something out as you frowned and he set the tiny thing in your hand. You held it up to the light, a miniature metal shoe.
"Said it was your favorite Monopoly piece," he said. "Found part of a game and that piece was still there."
You turned the piece over in your fingers, marveling at the little bit of normalcy you held, the physical manifestation of Joel's love for you.
"It's perfect," you kissed him and he tugged you closer. "You're perfect."
"S'long as it means you stop bogarting the race car," he teased. "I'm happy to do it."
You laughed and snuggled closer to him, holding the Monopoly piece and looking at the lights on the wall, Joel's fingers lightly tracing over you. His knuckles may be bloody and bruised, you may only eat canned food, you may not be able to leave your corner of Boston for fear of getting swarmed by infected monsters, but you had Joel.
Life was different now at 43 than you'd thought it would be for a lot of reasons. Life was hard in the QZ. But Joel made it worth it. All the quiet moments and the gentle touches, the inside jokes and deep comfort that came only from being with someone you loved made it worth it. You might not have all the things you thought you wanted once upon a time but you had Joel and Joel had you. That was more than enough.

Blowback
”I’ve enjoyed dope for more than 40 years,“ Oliver Stone says, speaking by phone from his Los Angeles office. “It started in Vietnam, I was a soldier. I showed it in Platoon. Half the platoons were getting high—not in the field, but in the back, and it made that whole experience survivable to a large degree. I don’t think I would have kept my humanity without it. Getting high was an antidote to the madness we were surrounded by. I’m very serious about that. The music and the dope.”
I’m talking to Stone about his latest film, Savages, the story of a couple of high-end hydroponic pot growers—rock stars of the Southern California boutique marijuana scene—who run afoul of a ruthless Mexican cartel angling for a cut of their business. It is, I think, his best movie in years: a ripe, wildly energetic caper—a Stone(r) noir, if you will—that also provides a sharper snapshot of the way we live now than the more overtly topical World Trade Center, W., and Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps. International diplomacy and the state of the economy are very much on Stone’s mind here too, but the politics are niftily concealed by a vibrant genre-movie surface; striking, color-saturated visuals; and the toned, tanned bodies of a sexy young cast in various states of rest and motion. Think Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (a movie Savages directly makes reference to) if Butch, Sundance, and Etta were a full-blown ménage à trois. Think They Live by Night with surfboards and tattoos.
Adapted by Stone, Shane Salerno, and Don Winslow from Winslow’s compulsively readable 2010 novel, Savages follows the perils of Ben (Aaron Johnson) and Chon (Taylor Kitsch), yin-and-yang best buddies who meet cute on the beaches of Laguna and soon go into business together. They use primo seeds ferried back by Navy SEAL Chon from the Afghan war zone to cultivate a highly potent strain of weed whose profits in turn fund the new-agey Ben’s third-world nonprofit. The two friends share home and hearth with the movie’s narrator, O (Blake Lively), a burnt-orange beach bunny who claims to love the two men in her life equally, though perhaps that love is not quite as intense as their own bromance. Then into this progressive love nest comes a missive from the cartel honcho known as Elena “La Reina” (Salma Hayek), who makes Ben and Chon an offer they can’t refuse: join forces with her or else it will be O’s decapitated head they find under their communal sheets.
The cartel in the film behaves like a corporation—Wal-Mart by way of Monsanto—wanting to co-opt not only Ben and Chon’s distribution network, but their seed-growing technology too. And everyone is, literally or figuratively, in bed with everyone—the cartel with American Indian reservations, the DEA (in the person of John Travolta’s deeply compromised agent) with the dealers and the growers alike—leading to a wild, loop-de-loop climax that may leave some wondering if THC has somehow been piped into the cinema.
Savages presents a fascinating cycle of subterranean trade: high-quality Afghan weed makes its way to Southern California as a kind of byproduct of the war over there, and ex-SEALs use their military training and weaponry against the Mexican cartel in a new kind of war zone.
I don’t want to be preachy, but that ties in to my belief that blowback exists in this world. You don’t go fight foreign wars and expect them to stay there. The blowback comes, and not only in the form of Osama bin Laden in 2001. We have so many wounded people from the two Iraqs and Afghanistan, people with diseases and concussions and maimed limbs. There’s tremendous callousness in the country and it destroys us, and in a strange way Don Winslow caught that in his book with this idea of these soldiers becoming active here. In Vietnam we always thought that we’d come back and we’d make a difference here in this country; we’d lead the revolution against Nixon. I love the idea that this kid Chon just takes things in his own fucking hands. He doesn’t go crying to the cops—there’s no cops to cry to. They drive around on bicycles in Laguna. So he gets his RPGs and his IEDs and he fucking does it with real hardcore veterans. I loved that idea of war coming home to roost.
The depiction of the Mexican cartel is unusual in that the characters are quite three-dimensional, particularly Salma Hayek’s Elena, who has a fraught relationship with her twentysomething daughter, and who ends up treating O as a kind of surrogate daughter when she kidnaps her.
We always thought of it that way. We also had scenes with Uma Thurman as the mother of O—they were good scenes that were funny, actually. But with the movie being two hours and 10 minutes now, we were concerned. John Travolta’s character also had a wife, and there was a tender scene between them. And there was a very interesting side story with Lado, Benicio’s character—we had Mia Maestro as his wife, and we see that she is trying to make their children into Californians and the kids disgust him because they don’t have any of the old-fashioned ways that he wants. But we had to let all that go. What I like about the movie is that it has a tension to it, and I think it keeps you going, wanting to know what’s going to happen next, and it doesn’t let up.
The three leads have a terrific chemistry together. They really click in a way that gives the movie a lot of energy. How did you decide on the casting?
Aaron was the first one in. I met him and I just fell for his charm. We met in London and I said, “I don’t know which one you should play, but I want you to do this movie.” He was getting hot, he had done Kick-Ass and I had liked him in that. He was being offered a big role, and it was a big deal for him, but he gave up the [other] movie because he loved this idea so much. Then I saw Taylor in Friday Night Lights and an early version of Battleship and thought he was dead-on for Chon. So that made Aaron Ben. Blake came about after Jennifer Lawrence dropped out to make The Hunger Games. It was a difficult movie because she had Gossip Girl shooting 10 months a year, so she had to fly to New York practically every fucking day. She was working monster hours, as they do on TV. We stayed on schedule, but it was a difficult shoot.
The film feels in some ways like a sibling to Natural Born Killers and U-Turn in its ferocious pacing and the hyperreality of the imagery—the intensity of the sunlight and the bold primary colors.
Let’s put it this way: it was going to be a sun movie, which is to say Mexico, the South. The colors were intended to be primary, and I drove everyone a little bit crazy with that. Early on, I screened Contempt for [cinematographer] Dan Mindel, and I said, “I want these colors.” We had great sun all summer, we were shooting outdoors, we shot with windows, we shot with light, we tried to use as much beach life as we could. At one point, I went out on the set and screamed that I wanted towels, as many bright yellows and blues as possible, to get rid of the weaker colors that were sneaking in. Sometimes set designers want to have that tasteful balance, and I said, “No! We want excess!” Flowers, paintings, everything we could do to get some color in there, including bringing standby painters in and just slapping a wall together if we had to at the last second. My references in this were certainly Contempt, but also Duel in the Sun—I saw that several times when I was young, and I saw it again recently, and it’s just beautifully done. The showdown scene at the end was sort of an homage to that. Also to Leone.
To wit, the movie’s score has a strong spaghetti Western feel to it.
It’s funny you should say that, because I went about 10 rounds on U-Turn with Ennio Morricone. It was the only time I worked with him, and I never worked with someone so difficult in my life. It was a creative collaboration, but I think I’m the only American director who made him return to America a second time—he doesn’t like to travel—because I was unhappy. At one point in our collaboration, I actually showed him a Road Runner cartoon and I said, “This is the type of music I want you to write.” And he looked at me with a cold stare and said, “You want me to write cartoon music?” But if you listen to U-Turn, there’s a lot of boings and bings and bangs.
On Savages, I didn’t really know what the sound should be. There was a guy, Adam Peters, who I’d used on The Untold History of the United States, and he did great work for me. He’s English, so he’s not at all of the Italian style, but he adapted. As with Natural Born Killers and Any Given Sunday, we used a lot of needle drops, a lot of Mexican music. We listened to all the narcocorridos, but we didn’t end up using any of those. We put Brahms in under the sex scene at the very beginning because I wanted the movie to have some tenderness and romance. There has to be that element like in Duel in the Sun where you feel for these people—they’re young, they’re tender, they’re at the mercy of the world, they’re in danger, and they’re in love.
How do you interpret the love triangle at the center of the film? Do Ben and Chon really love each other—as Elena intimates—more than they do O?
I don’t know. I did look at Butch Cassidy before we shot the movie, and it’s interesting, because Katharine Ross is with both men, but it’s so hidden in the movie that you barely notice it. Certainly, Butch Cassidy was considered, even at the time, a bit homoerotic. O has her own journey, too. She lives through this thing and she has to find herself, through this process of looking at death so clearly. She says toward the end: “I don’t think it’s possible for three people to be equally in love.” Which indicates that she’s thought about what Elena says to her in the dinner scene: “Something’s fucked up about your love story, baby.”
What is the current status of your Showtime miniseries, The Untold History of the United States?
It grew out of my desire to leave something behind. I’m aware of what my three children studied in American History and I’m aware of what I studied in American History, and I feel like we were all cheated by the book publishers and by the schools. In my case, it grew into a mythology about the United States that was very dangerous, because among other things I went to Vietnam under the belief that we were fighting the demon enemy: Communism. And what we did in Vietnam was so heinous, so evil, and it bothers me still that it was never apologized for, nothing changed, and we went to more wars. So in 2008, around the time I was doing W., I started this project. It was designed to be 10 chapters about the mythologies of American history, going back to 1945 and the bomb and working our way through to 2012. It’s an upside-down version of American history, which is to say it takes everything you thought you knew about America and questions it. Anyway, it turned into a monstrosity. It went two years over and took a lot of time. Writing history for film is the hardest thing in the world, and I’ve been giving all my free time to it when I haven’t been making other films. It was originally scheduled for May, but when Universal moved Savages to July, we and Showtime decided to push it back to November because we didn’t want to overlap. We’re working like dogs on it as we speak. We keep revising, fact-checking. Things change. It’s a bitch.
Savages ultimately feels like the work of a filmmaker reborn. If you watched it without knowing who directed it, you might think it was the work of a first- or second-timer fresh from film school or music videos, showing us everything he can do, in case he never gets to do it again.
It’s really my third or fourth childhood, because I’ve had these kinds of periods before. Bear in mind that I did Platoon when I was 37. To me, part of me had died in Vietnam, and to finally get a chance to make a movie about Vietnam in 1986 when I was almost 40, I felt like an old man then. I was going back to my 20-year-old self, and being in the jungle with Charlie Sheen and all those young dudes, I was the old guy. Life is like that—you get old, you get young, you get old, you get young. That’s happened to me repeatedly. Natural Born Killers was an enormous explosion of energy at a time when I was getting divorced and my life was falling apart and I was in a very dark place and I just said, “Fuck it.” So the answer is, I felt very old on the movie at times, because it was such hard work, and to get out of your chair for the hundredth time of the day and have to walk over to some young person and talk them through the whole thing again… What am I doing out here in 100-degree heat at Pyramid Lake? But it’s the idea that keeps it alive.
As a director, you sometimes feel like you’re the most loathed person, because you’re telling everyone what to do. And most people in life, myself included, don’t like to be in control all the time. I don’t enjoy it. But once in a while, you have to go out there for 60, 70, 80 days and you’ve got to be in charge and you’ve got to be tough to bring it together, because it’s tremendously logistically complex, and if you have 16 competing visions or even two competing visions, it won’t work. Every time you direct, it’s a tremendous effort. It’s like mounting the D-Day invasion. I’ve made 19 movies and they were 19 wars.

Crowley taking care of GN partner with PoTs
Self indulgent here a bit because I passed out yesterday and have my PoTs appointment this week.
1. He becomes an expert at preparing hydrating and electrolyte-rich snacks to help manage symptoms like dizziness and fatigue. Dint like drinking water? He finds away to make it worth your while or taste better. Will allow you to say iced tea counts as water. Always has salt or salty snacks on hand. Will miracle you a pickle in a pinch should you need it.
2. Crowley creatively plans activities that accommodate the need for frequent breaks, ensuring his partner can enjoy outings without overexertion. Walking around somewhere and need a rest? He’s picked a place with plenty of enjoyable places to sit down? Somewhere where a seat isn’t available, there is one in a snap of his fingers. He tries to pick activities that allow you time to rest between walking like watching a movie or painting. If there’s going to be a lot of walking he is very observant and will say he wants a drink or a break so you don’t feel like you’re having to ask for it.
3. He uses his supernatural charm to advocate for you when necessary. His supernatural charm can be using a miracle or lowering his glasses and intimidating who/what ever is the barrier. Sometimes he just is clever and leads the person to a better decision, while also insulting them. He doesn’t take kindly to anyone making it harder for you, or anyone in your position. He’s incredibly good at this when dealing with dismissive medical professionals.
4. Crowley knows stress management is a big part in mitigating your symptoms, but that you tend to be constantly stressed. He will notice when there is an uptick, telling you to schedule a day or two off. When you’re in a period of stress he’s extra attentive monitoring you for any signs of a flare. He encourages you to rest more, helps with tasks, sets up relaxing baths or massage appointments. He also creates a personalized playlist filled with calming music.
5. He designs a schedule that balances rest and activity, recognizing the importance of pacing to prevent symptom exacerbation. It’s become second nature to him, knowing when you need more of one or the other.
6. He employs humor as a coping mechanism, using witty banter to lighten the mood during difficult moments. For example if you faint or get light headed and he catches you, like he always does, he will make some cheesy joke about you falling for him.
7. Crowley stays updated on the latest medical research and treatment options, offering valuable insights and resources to support his partner's well-being.
8. He becomes proficient in recognizing the early signs of symptom flare-ups, allowing him to respond quickly and provide the necessary assistance and comfort. It’s his second nature. He knows the look on your face when you’re hiding your symptoms, he can tell if you’re getting too hot in a cool environment that your struggling to regulate your temperature, same thing if your fingers, toes and nose are ice cold. He can listen carefully and identify your pulse if needed to see if it’s spiking.
9. If you’re a person who experiences periods, he knows this is a time that your symptoms can be at their worse. He will be extra loving and attentive around this time, activities are more around being together relaxing than going out.
10. When you do pass out, because you will, he will catch you and help lower you to the floor or carry you to a better spot to lay down. He will help elevate your legs and pet your hair until you wake up. When you do he insists you lay still for a while longer, telling you it’s okay and that your safe. He keeps his finger on your pulse to keep a monitor on it. Slowly he will help you sit up, and after a while there he will let you stand but he will keep his hands around your wait to be sure your okay.
11: Sometimes he’s not around when you faint. You’ll be in the bathroom getting ready for the day and he may out in the kitchen or out and you’ll collapse. When he finds you on the floor he panics, over time this is more hidden, but he does panic still. He will run to you and kneel down, checking your head for any injuries and try to help you wake up. When you do he checks you for a concussion and holds you close kissing your head and face. He Carrie’s you back to bed and insists that today is a rest day. The worst was when you passed out in the shower and he had to come in after you had made a loud commotion knocking bottles of products down as you fell. He knocked at the door a few times and when no response he came in, quickly shutting off the water, wrapping you in a towel and pulling you from the tub. He didn’t let you shower unsupervised for the next month.
12: if he finds out you fainted and didn’t tell him he’s worried and a little upset. He wants to know so he can care for you. You’ll be out to dinner and accidentally mention, “oh I was sitting on the floor earlier and I was thinking…” “why where you sitting on the floor?” “Oh… when I was doing my hair I got dizzy and almost fainted but just kinda sat down till it passed” “dear… why didn’t you tell me?” “It wasn’t a big deal… I’m fine… see? Anyway… I was thinking …”

it's 12:57a and my video is made and uploaded to youtube. this one only took about 3½ hours to make between writing the lyrics/translation, notating time for pictures and lyrics, and getting programmed into windows movie maker. it would've been quicker but i stopped to eat, rewatch the latest episode of Futurama, and have a pot cookie and some mochi, lol. the copyright scanner said the band allows their music to be used so it should stay up. I got the lyrics and translations off of official sources and the band's official video shows who is singing, but i'm still gonna pass this along to the boys in the band to make sure i got everything right. but you should be able to tell who's singing with the visual better.
sorry i babbled on. cards on the table i'm REALLY high right now.
since i'm on my computer and desktop tumblr doesn't like youtube links, i'll just be posting the end part

This came out nice, good job on it.
I'd go nuts trying to put one together

Exploring New Genres and Platforms in the Music World
The music industry is in a constant state of evolution, fueled by new genres, innovative artists, and the ever-growing impact of digital platforms. In today’s interconnected world, listeners can access a vast array of music at the click of a button. Whether it’s traditional sounds reimagined or entirely new genres emerging, the modern music landscape is a treasure trove of creativity and discovery. In this article, we explore how genres are evolving and how platforms are redefining how we experience and consume music.
German Music: A Cultural Phenomenon
Germany has always been a significant contributor to the global music scene, offering a fascinating blend of traditional and modern styles. German music is known for its ability to merge classical elements with cutting-edge genres like electronic and techno. Berlin, often regarded as the techno capital of the world, has produced some of the most innovative electronic music artists and DJs who have set trends worldwide.
On the other hand, the country’s rich history in classical music continues to inspire new generations of musicians. From Johann Sebastian Bach to Ludwig van Beethoven, Germany's contribution to music is deeply ingrained in its cultural identity. Today, many German artists are experimenting by blending traditional orchestral elements with contemporary electronic beats, creating a unique sound that resonates globally. This fusion has helped elevate the status of German music on international platforms, making it a must-listen for music enthusiasts.
What’s Buzzing on Worldwide YouTube Trending?
If you’re looking to stay updated on the latest global music trends, worldwide YouTube trending is an invaluable resource. YouTube has become one of the most influential platforms for music discovery, offering a window into what’s popular across cultures and continents. The trending section on YouTube highlights the most-watched videos, ranging from viral songs to groundbreaking music collaborations.
This feature not only showcases trending artists but also helps niche genres gain visibility. From K-pop sensations to indie artists experimenting with lo-fi beats, the worldwide YouTube trending section offers something for everyone. The platform’s algorithm ensures that content is tailored to individual preferences while also exposing users to global trends. This has made YouTube a cultural melting pot, connecting audiences with diverse musical expressions.
Gully Gang Entertainment: The Revolution of Indian Hip-Hop
Hip-hop is no longer confined to the streets of New York or Los Angeles; it has become a global movement, with unique local flavors emerging from every corner of the world. In India, Gully Gang Entertainment is at the forefront of this revolution. Spearheaded by rapper DIVINE, Gully Gang Entertainment has brought raw, unfiltered narratives from India’s streets to the global stage.
Their music is characterized by hard-hitting lyrics, infectious beats, and an authenticity that resonates with listeners. Through their work, Gully Gang has highlighted socio-economic issues, personal struggles, and aspirations, offering a voice to urban youth who often feel unheard. The collective’s influence has extended beyond music, inspiring movies like Gully Boy and bringing Indian hip-hop into mainstream conversations.
What sets Gully Gang apart is their ability to combine local storytelling with global production standards. This unique blend has earned them a dedicated fan base not only in India but also among international audiences. As Indian hip-hop continues to evolve, Gully Gang Entertainment remains a beacon of creativity and authenticity.
Sing Along with Musixmatch Lyrics
In an era where lyrics often define the emotional essence of a song, platforms like Musixmatch lyrics have become indispensable. Musixmatch offers real-time synchronized lyrics, making it easier for listeners to follow along with their favorite songs. Whether you’re a fan of karaoke nights or simply want to understand a song’s deeper meaning, this platform has you covered.
Musixmatch’s database is extensive, spanning multiple languages and genres, which ensures that users can access lyrics for nearly any song they listen to. The platform also integrates seamlessly with popular music streaming apps like Spotify, enhancing the listening experience. By providing accurate translations for international tracks, Musixmatch makes it possible for listeners to connect with songs from different cultures.
Additionally, the platform serves as a valuable resource for emerging artists who want their lyrics to be discovered alongside their music. This accessibility bridges the gap between artists and listeners, fostering a deeper appreciation for the stories behind the songs.
YouTube Prime Membership: Elevate Your Entertainment Experience
If you’re a frequent YouTube user, upgrading to YouTube Prime Membership can transform your music and video streaming experience. With features like ad-free viewing, offline downloads, and exclusive content, the membership is tailored for those who want uninterrupted entertainment.
For music lovers, the ad-free experience is particularly appealing, allowing for seamless playlists and uninterrupted live performances. Additionally, YouTube Prime provides access to YouTube Music Premium, a dedicated platform for discovering, organizing, and enjoying music. This feature includes background play, so you can continue listening to your favorite tracks even when using other apps.
Another significant benefit is the ability to download content for offline access. Whether you’re traveling or dealing with unreliable internet, this feature ensures that your favorite music is always available. By combining convenience with premium features, YouTube Prime Membership has become an essential tool for avid listeners and viewers.
The Role of Emerging Genres and Platforms
Beyond traditional platforms, new genres and niche communities are flourishing, thanks to digital innovation. Genres like lo-fi hip-hop, hyperpop, and afrobeat have gained significant traction in recent years, often fueled by platforms like YouTube, SoundCloud, and TikTok. These platforms provide a space for independent artists to experiment and share their work without the constraints of mainstream expectations.
Collaborations between artists from different genres and cultures have also become more common, leading to the creation of hybrid styles that defy categorization. For instance, the fusion of Latin beats with electronic music has produced global hits that dominate streaming charts. Similarly, classical and jazz influences are being reinterpreted in contemporary contexts, ensuring these timeless genres remain relevant to new generations.
Conclusion
The music world is more dynamic and diverse than ever, with new genres and platforms reshaping how we experience sound. From the vibrant innovations of German music to the groundbreaking work of Gully Gang Entertainment, today’s music landscape is a testament to the power of creativity and technology. Platforms like worldwide YouTube trending and Musixmatch lyrics make it easier for listeners to discover and connect with music from all corners of the globe.
As we look ahead, services like YouTube Prime Membership promise to further enhance how we consume and interact with music. What’s your favorite emerging genre or platform? Share your thoughts in the comments below!

14 Ways to Design the Interior of a Luxury Villa in Hyderabad
Tumblr media
Sunlight dancing through expansive windows, illuminating a masterpiece of design that whispers luxury villa in Hyderabad. This isn't a dream; it's your reality, crafted with meticulous attention to detail and a touch of your unique personality.
But where do you begin? Fear not, design enthusiasts, for we're about to embark on a journey to transform your villa into a sanctuary fit for royalty.
2024 Design Trends: Your Guide to Villa Vogue
First things first, let's peek into the crystal ball of interior design trends for 2024. Think sustainability meets sophistication, with a dash of biophilia (think bringing the outdoors in) for good measure. Natural materials like wood, stone, and bamboo take center stage, whispering of earthy elegance.
Goodbye, sterile minimalism; hello, warm textures and inviting spaces that embrace the "hygge" lifestyle (cozy Danish vibes). And don't forget the ever-important "smart home" revolution – integrate technology seamlessly to create a haven of convenience and automation.
Tailoring Your Luxury Villa: 14 Steps to Bliss
Now, let's personalize your palace! Here are 14 ways to design your luxury villa in Hyderabad:
Embrace the Flow: Open floor plans are all the rage, creating a sense of spaciousness and fostering connection. Let the living, dining, and kitchen areas seamlessly blend, perfect for entertaining or intimate gatherings.
Let There Be Light: Natural light is your best friend. Maximize windows and incorporate skylights to bathe your villa in sunshine. Don't forget strategic lighting fixtures to create ambiance in the evenings.
Material Matters: Indulge in luxurious textures like marble, granite, or even handcrafted wooden accents. Remember, sustainability is key, so opt for ethically sourced materials.
Water Feature Magic: Imagine the gentle sound of a cascading waterfall or the tranquil presence of a reflecting pool. Water features add a touch of serenity and elevate the outdoor space.
The Art of Relaxation: Create a dedicated relaxation zone, whether it's a spa-inspired bathroom with a Jacuzzi or a cozy reading nook with a fireplace. Remember, self-care is king (or queen)!
Green Thumb Goals: Bring the outdoors in with lush greenery. Vertical gardens, potted plants, and even indoor water features create a refreshing and calming atmosphere.
Statement Pieces: Don't be afraid to make a bold statement with unique artwork, sculptures, or antique furniture. Let your personality shine through!
