DC XDP prompt: Danny falls out of a portal literally into Batmans arms in a JL meeting.
Feel free to play with this. I probably will write more, but I'm STUCK and don't know how to write the JL or anyone else for that matter.
XXX
The Justice League meeting had gone very well. For once there were no major crisis from anyone attending, and all of the regular members of the league were in attendance. A few of the second row hero’s had begged off for one reason or another, but nothing that was a threat of any real kind.
Batman was wary, and on edge as the meeting wrapped up. It was never this simple, it just couldn’t be. There was always some kind of threat to keep an eye on, but the worst thing that had come up during the meeting were routine security updates.
No one else seemed to be on edge from the far too calm, routine meeting, and Bruce had just about convinced himself that it was really just one of those meetings where nothing outrageous would happen. It was ideal even…
Then the alarms went off, in the specific modulation that indicated a magical incursion.
Batman wasn’t the only one who’s hands went to weapons when the portal materialized above the meeting room table only a moment after the alarm went off. Swirling lazarus green had him ready for the fight even as the rest of the league went into defensive positions around the incursion.
“What…” Flash started to ask about a minute later when nothing had happened yet, the alarms still blaring.
That’s when something came flying out of the portal, at speed, back first.
Batman had a split second to decide to attack… or not. A split second to try to process the impressions and decide if this was an attack.
The portal closed as he cradled the small body that had crashed into his arms, the alarms silencing a moment later as the rest of the league tried to catch up, all of them wondering if this was some new threat.
Batman looked down at the child in his arms, a boy in his mid teens and small for his age, with white hair framing a frighteningly familiar looking face, gently pointed ears, and fangs in a mouth that gasped for breath against pain. The eyes were closed, twisted tight as the child clutched at his chest and belly, holding together severed flesh that leaked lazarus green blood from a clinical and too regular wound. Fingers tipped with small claws spasmed, tears coming from closed eyes.
“Batman?” Wonder Woman asked, Diana’s voice filled with concern as Bruce wrapped the child in his arms and stood up from where he had been knocked on his ass catching said child.
“Call down to medical. Severely wounded unknown,” he snapped, moving towards the door, only to stop as there was a flash of light in his arms, and the child suddenly gained a solid weight that was closer to human. The blood dripping from passed out hands was now brilliant red, fingertips blunt with chewed nails, the boy’s skin going from pale white to… a healthier tone.
Bruce consciously stopped cataloging his observations then, swiftly making his way to medical. Whatever this boy was, whether he intended to tug at Batman’s heart the way he was or not, was severely wounded and needed medical attention immediately.
He could process it all, and wonder why a child looking exactly like Damian Wayne had been thrown into his arms through a lazarus portal later.
XXXXX
An hour later, after a discreet call to his youngest just to be sure, Bruce watched the now sedated child in the medical cot, working on trying to face match the databases and find out if the child came from earth or not.
The searches primarily turned up Damian Wayne. Bruce knew for certain this child was not his son, but he was also running a DNA analysis because this Might be his son. It made a disheartening amount of sense for this boy to be another version of Damien, perhaps from another dimension, or some manner of clone, or perhaps Talia had simply hidden another child of his away… Bruce needed to narrow down the possibilities, to find the truth.
Of course, it was equally possible that this boy was some manner of mimic, taking on a form that would ensure his safety in unknown environment, a shape shifter intentionally injuring himself in order to infiltrate the Watchtower. Though that last theory didn’t make sense for a number of reasons. Most shape shifters would be secure enough in their abilities to simply try to mimic someone who already had access to the watch tower, to say nothing of the boy’s dramatic entrance.
Batman wasn’t thinking logically. Bruce couldn’t simply leave the boy here though. Not until he knew more, everything relevant by preference. The thought that this might be his son in any way was enough to keep him near, but he could already tell he was compromised.
He had already informed Diana and Clark, and both of them had agreed that he should stay nearby until they had the situation sorted out.
Bruce had been stuck in a circular though pattern for about fifteen minutes when a green form came into the room, J’onn looking at him calmly.
“Can you find anything out?” Batman asked without preamble, unable to bring himself to observe polite pleasantries when he was so unsettled.
“Nothing beyond surface thoughts. The boy’s mind is static and pain of the emotional kind,” J’onn stated after a moment.
Batman nodded, accepting the answer. J’onn’s abilities weren’t always the answer to everything, could indeed often be a crutch that led to the wrong answers. But they could also give the Justice League a starting point often enough.
“You should rest friend. It is unlikely that the boy will awaken soon…” J’onn cut himself off with a quiet look at the boy. “Or not. He’s coming around.”
Batman watched as the child’s eyes blinked open, drowsy expression turning to the two heros without much recognition. Bruce didn’t let himself react, kept himself in a calm pose even as his mind once more went into overdrive.
The boy had blue eyes, not green like Damian's.

It's the end of the world and the collapsing of the multiverse all together and where is Tim Drake, you ask? About half a foot away from Conner Kent for like 80% of it and uses his one line in this story to specifically tell Conner AND ONLY CONNER that he was the best part of Tim's life. Ok then.

I already have my Batman Season Four ideas planned out to an oddly precise degree, right? Well, I still have more ideas that I can't bring myself to get rid of. So I'm going to do a Batman Season Three and a Half. Here I'll adapt some of the few comics I like from the Batman '66 comic book, and maybe i'll add a few minor 50s and 60s villians I wish had been on Batman '66. So without further delay, here's my Batman 1966 Season Three and a Half ideas (now revised to include two or three extra stories):
Episodes 1 and 2: A two parter based on the events of the Batman '66 Comic, Issue #1. A story involving The Riddler (Frank Gorshin) and Catwoman (Julie Newmar).
Episodes 3 and 4: An adaptation of the Lead Story in Batman '66 #2. A story featuring The Penguin (Burgess Meredith) and Mister Freeze (either George Sanders or Eli Wallach). They team up, only to get busted by the dynamic duo!
Episodes 5 and 6: Just the first story of Issue #3 of Batman '66 in it's entirety. Joker (Cesar Romero) stars, as does The Red Hood/Professor Overbeck (played by Leonid Kinsky).
Episodes 7 and 8: An adaptation of the second story in Batman '66 #3 (but an adaptation that's longer and more fleshed out). Egghead escapes from jail, and begins plotting to defeat Batman and Robin once again. To do this, he decides to conquer the skies with a gigantic dirigible of his own design! Egghead eventually captures the dynamic duo and drops them from his airship, to face the treacherous earth lying below. But due to sheer arrogance on his part, he'd forgotten to remove their utility belts.
So Batman and Robin successfully use their utility belts to survive the fall. They then fake their deaths, and prepare to snare Egghead and his gang within a trap of their own…
Episode 9: Batman is all alone on this case. He goes to the theater with a new love interest of his (and an old friend, too), one Linda Page. They've gone to see a benefit performance being put on by Chandell and The Siren, two supposedly redeemed ex-cons. But while Chandell really has gone straight, The Siren has done anything but. She uses this performance to hypnotize her audience, and then she tries to steal everything from people.
But Bruce manages to get away during the commotion, and he changes to Batman! But The Siren has learned some new tricks since last we saw her. Namely, she's learned how to summon hallucinations with her singing. So while Batman is immobilized by her strange hallucinations, Linda Page comes to the rescue and saves him from The Siren. Then she's sent back to jail, and Chandell is free to continue his performance.
But watching from the audience was that famous european criminal known as the Sandman, and he's most displeased that his newest assistant (The Siren) failed so utterly. He'd increased her powers by adding his dream sand to her arsenal, but she still failed! In his eyes, truly an unforgivable sin.
Episodes 10 and 11: Batman and Robin learn of how the Queen's Guard in England was robbed of all of their hats, and they realize that the Mad Hatter is clearly up to something. So with Alfred as their guide, Bruce and Dick travel to jolly old london town. While there, they end up having to confront The Mad Hatter, who really was behind all the thefts. He invades the Tower of London and steals the Crown Jewels.
But due to Batman's peerless reputation (even across the pond in the UK), Batman and Robin successfully manage to stop The Mad Hatter from getting away with the Crown Jewels. And then the good people of Scotland Yard haul the Hatter away, to serve out his full term in a London jail cell.
Episode 12: A more elaborate retelling of the second story in Batman '66 #4, Batman and Robin are still in England (being honoured for their victory against The Mad Hatter). But then Batman recalls an odd detail regarding the chiming of clock bells during their fight against The Mad Hatter. Realizing The Hatter may have had an accomplice, him and robin rush back to the tower to investigate this mystery.
And inside the clocktower, Batman finds his suspicions confirmed: The Mad Hatter was being aided by The Clock King, who actually turns out to be his brother! And The Clock King is now proceeding with his own seperate scheme to blow up The Tower of London when Big Ben chimes five. But before he can get around to that, Batman and Robin stop him. Both him, and his army of henchmen and clock themed androids.
From there, Clock King is sent to jail to rejoin his brother. And Batman and Robin return to their feast with Scotland Yard, finally able to celebrate the fruits of a victory well won.
Episode 13: An adaptation of the secondary story in Batman '66 #25, wherein Batgirl encounters Catwoman (played by Eartha Kitt) trying to steal the expensive Tiger Topaz. It turns out that crime never stops in Gotham, even while Batman's away (this story takes place concurrently with the saga over in England). So it's Batgirl to the rescue, on one of her many solo adventures.
Episodes 14 and 15: Batman and Robin have returned from their adventure in London, only to now have to deal with The Sandman, that evil super crook from the european continent. Still angry about the failure of The Siren (back in episode 9), The Sandman has now decided to take matters into his own hands. Him and his gang plunder the city, using a new form of sleep sand that can hypnotize people through dreams.
He successfully manages to ensnare and entrance the entire city (including Batgirl), but never once accounts for Batman's powers of lucid dreaming. Batman successfully manages to resist the strange dreams of the sleep sand, and he wakes up in time to free robin and batgirl and defeat the rest of the sandman's gang.
Episodes 16 and 17: A bit of a more dramatic episode, starring a very old Boris Karloff as Basil Karlo. An old man who's angry about the new remakes of his old horror films, Basil Karlo takes up his old costumed identity as Clayface and begins a series of attacks on the studio. When the film comes to Gotham City's annual film festival, Batman and Robin are called in to investigate.
Meanwhile, Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson also deal with Aunt Harriet and Linda Page (who both serve on the gotham film festival board).
Episodes 18 and 19: A story dealing with Catwoman, this comic is an adaptation of a story first seen in Batman #122. To summarize that story (by copying from off of the DC wiki):
Catwoman escapes from prison and then threatens three wealthy men with the old superstition about black cats. When the men won't pay her, she steals from them, after placing a black cat in their way. Batman and Robin try to stop her, but Catwoman gets away, using her new vehicle, the Kitty Car. During a second confrontation between the Dynamic Duo and the Catwoman, Robin is captured and taken to Catwoman's hide-out, where he uses his belt-radio to summon Batman. Batman then rescues his partner, but Catwoman flees and is able to jump across a rising drawbridge in her car, escaping once again.
Episodes 20 and 21: Batman and Robin have to deal with The Bookworm, who's come up with a new and decidedly tricky scheme to figure out Batman's secret identity. Although he still fails, Bookworm ends up coming dangerously close to figuring out Batman's secret identity. So dangerously close that one thing becomes perfectly clear: Bookworm may one day actually find out Batman's secret. Of all the rogues, only him and egghead have gotten close to the truth. If either of them should team up one day…
Episodes 22 and 23: The Joker teams up with Louie the Lilac to cultivate flowers that produce laughing gas. They use this to lead a mad crime spree across Gotham, and only gotham's terrific trio can stop them now!
Episodes 24 and 25: Olga, Queen of the Cossacks has returned to Gotham City. Angry on behalf of her partner egghead's failure (back in episodes 7 and 8), Olga has left him. And now she pursues a better choice of husband: Batman himself. Luring Batman and Robin to a large, snowy mountain in great northern reaches of North America, Olga kidnaps Batman and leaves Robin for dead.
Thankfully, Batgirl had been tailing them. So she manages to save Robin, and then the two of them go after Batman. They manage to trail Olga to her lair inside of a mountain, and then they find Batman struggling in the arena against an army of Olga's best men. Robin and Batgirl jump in to lend him a hand, and then our terrific trio end up saving the day and stopping Olga, but not before she successfully steals a kiss from Batman. Knowing our heroes luck, this probably won't be the last time they'll have to deal with this strong-willed cossack queen. She's still determined to win Batman's hand, after all.
Episodes 26 and 27: The Penguin teams up with The Black Widow (Tallulah Bankhead). This is really just an almost completely faithful adaptation of the story from Batman '66 #15, as that's one of the few stories from Batman '66 (the comic) that sounds perfect to me.
Episode 28: A longer and more in depth version of the second story presented in Batman '66 #7. Here's the synopsis of that story from the DC wiki:
The Joker successfully robs a popular game show's jackpot, but bitterly notes only one of his men had actually helped in the getaway. After an evening watching business news, the Clown Prince of Crime is inspired to fire his whole gang except that one henchman. This "downsizing" not only leaves him a bigger share of loot, but also lets him evade Batman and Robin (who have grown used to picking him out of large retinues) at his next heist.
While troubled by the Joker's new efficiency, Batman correctly judges it unsustainable. Indeed, the Joker quickly overworks his one lackey to the point of exhaustion, and their following heist fails miserably against the Dynamic Duo.
Episodes 29 and 30: Batman and Robin meet The Monkees, in a musical crossover involving The Music Meister (Donald O'Connor) and a crime wave framing The Monkees for thefts of many priceless instruments and music trinkets. I chose to have a Monkees crossover here, because that was legitimately the only way I could it fit to introduce The Music Meister into the world of Batman '66.
Episodes 31 and 32: Batman, Robin and Batgirl all end up dealing with the evil villian of Spellbinder, a young bohemian/countercultural artist who's learned that his pop-art can cause people to follow his every command. Now causing a real mess with light and spectacle, the terrific trio have to stop him before he can do any more damage with his hypnotic powers.
I would definitely also have Andy Warhol make a cameo during a wall climbing gag during this episode. Because this episode is all about pop art, and he is the king of that stuff.
Episodes 33 and 34: Tony Randall guest stars as Mister Camera. Mister Camera, the villian who nobody ever expects. His skill with photography makes him second to none in the world of forgery, and he's now come up with a daring way to trick the GCPD into arresting Batman and Robin, while simultaneously promoting himself.
He dresses like a plainclothes businessman, but he'd do things like doctor photos and manipulate the press via his photography. He might hide out in an old, renovated dark room. And he could have henchmen with names like shutterbug, snapshot, etc. I really don't think they could make the old comic design with a tuxedo and giant camera head mask work, but I know that the gimmick of photography and cameras could work for Batman 1966. So Mister Camera is definitely getting more than one apperance.
Episodes 35 and 36: An adaptation of the main story in Batman '66 #7, featuring False Face, a plot where he impersonates Bruce Wayne, and a subsequent showdown at Mount Rushmore between False Face and the dynamic duo!
Episodes 37 and 38: King Tut falls in love with Linda Page when she's working as a nurse at Gotham's penitentiary. He kidnaps her and tries to force her to become his Queen. Batman and Robin have to stop Tut's new plans for domination of Gotham, but in the end Linda Page is frightened away from Gotham City. She moves back to her father's estate in Texas, traumatized by the three or four major crimes she'd been dragged into while living in Gotham.
This is the last time Linda Page serves as any sort of recurring character. She might make two or three more appearances in future seasons, but she's now definitively off the books as a love interest and recurring character for Batman/Bruce Wayne.
Episodes 39 and 40: The Penguin is back with another new fiendish crime spree, all themed around rare and exotic birds. A ornithology exhibition has come to Gotham, and this bird of crime can't help but make a spectacle of himself stealing all the objects. Can Batman and Robin stop him? Or is it too late for our heroes to stop this foul bird of prey?
Episodes 41 and 42: The Riddler is back in town, and he's come to menace Gotham with a scheme involving clues hidden within the daily crossword puzzles at the Gotham Tribunal. Can Batman, Robin and Batgirl successfully solve all of his riddles in time? Or is this curtains for our terrific trio?
Episodes 43 and 44: Catwoman (Julie Newmar) ends up seemingly collaborating with Batman and Robin when another villian frames her for a crime she didn't commit. The villian in question ends up being revealed as a master magician known as The Great Marini. Using his masterful illusions, he manages to frame Batman for all sorts of crimes, and he manages to even successfully convince the GCPD that Batman and Robin are on the outs as useful crime fighters. That's when Batman learns the truth: Catwoman was a double agent all along!
Episode Two of this saga leaves our heroes no better off than they were before, as they're now hunted by the authorities. But they do escape Marini's deathtrap, and they even successfully manage to stop him and Catwoman before they can do too much harm to the city. To be fair: they were already beginning to fight amongst themselves. They were practically sitting ducks for the dynamic duo. But still, this would be the way that season three and a half ends.

A Refuge in the Afterlife?
DPxDC Crossover prompt
One day a message from space is sent to Earth, a call for assistance for the last survivors of a destroyed planet. The Justice League, of course, receive this message and a Team sets out to make contact with the group, ready to offer them whatever supplies they need and perhaps a location to rehome themselves.
Among this team would be one of the Green Lanterns, Guy or Hal, who are of course curious about why this group sought out Earth specifically instead of reaching out to the Corps? The answer to that question being quite simple:
To save the souls of their dead.
As it turns out, with the destruction of their Home World the survivors believe that not only are they at risk of becoming lost souls upon their own deaths, but the very Afterlife dimension that was attached to their world is at risk of ceasing to exist unless they find another world whose Afterlife can take theirs in as well, combing the two as one.
And wouldn't you know it, the surviving priests and/or mystics have received word from their endangered Ancestors that the Earth has a King of the Infinite Realms who may be willing to do just that. Once they reach the planet, they would be so grateful if the Justice League would be willing to help them petition this King for asylum for their people, both dead and alive.
The only problem?
This is the first time anybody from the League has even heard of this so-called King, and now everybody's scrambling to find out whatever they can about this being. And what little they are finding is nothing short of alarming. A mad tyrant who tried to invade the living world?! Yeah, they need to get on top of this fast, before the Refugees arrive!
Meanwhile, Danny just felt a shiver run up his spine and wonders if it's because his dad's latest batch of fudge came out a little too ecto-contaminated.
(Spoilers: it wasn't the fudge).
My personal Head-canon when it comes to the infinite Realms: the reason why we don't see any other religious figures or alien beings, is because Pariah Dark screwed up relations so bad with the other afterlife realms that the infinite realms has become largely cut off from everything else but Earth. Too much greed and trying to conquer shit to be considered a good neighbor, even by demon standards. Doesn't even matter that Pariah's been sealed away, it's still his dimension as long as he exists, and the absolutely hostile environment and denizens there prove it.
The word of today that inspired this post is Syncretism: (via wikipedia) the practice of combining different beliefs and various schools of thought. Syncretism involves the merging or assimilation of several originally discrete traditions, especially in the theology and mythology of religion, thus asserting an underlying unity and allowing for an inclusive approach to other faiths.
#Danny Phantom#Detective Comics#DC#DPXDC#Syncretism#Crossover#Alien Refugees#Afterlife#mine#Not Phantom Planet compliant#Danny doesn't even know that he's now considered the Ghost King#Now take a second and remember that the DC universe has had numerous planets get destroyed for one reason or another#Quite a few of the heroes and villains have origin stories of being among the last of their kind depending on which DC universe your in#like Superman or Starfire or Martian Manhunter#Now imagine them finding out this particular aspect of Afterlife lore is actually a thing#and promptly having a major freakout wondering if the souls of their dead are in danger as well#And may possibly be saved as well if they are#Anti-Ecto Acts?#Oop better get rid of that shit right away.#Pariah would be so pissed to find out that his unwanted successor was expanding the realms and wasn't getting any flak for it#“I was trying to do the same thing and I got put in time out!”#No honey. You were trying to conquer the Living world to expand your power.#Risking the destruction of both dimensions#You are not the same

Give me fanfic writing prompts.
I have writers block right now
I particularly want to do inside out fics, and something crossing over with atla. I already have this idea of a blackout at mind headquarters but don't know where to go with it. Particularly a drama, action, thriller type story.
Here's my fandoms.
Avatar the Last Airbender
Pokemon
Hetalia
Jujutsu Kaisen
Spy x Family
Marvel
DC
Chinese mythology, mythology in general
Cells at Work
Erased
Disastrous Life of Saiki K
Sherlock Holmes
Star Wars
Diary of a Wimpy Kid
Minecraft
Disney - Inside Out, Disney Princesses, Big Hero Six, Wreck it Ralph.
Former fandoms but I can still do
Ninjago
Miraculous Ladybug
Dragon Prince
Just a note
Mystery is difficult for me, I've never done a mystery before. Also I'm relatively new to Jujutsu Kaisen, I really don't have enough info on the characters.
Romance might also be a little difficult, I'm not a people person.

Hello!
I’ve noticed the Hazbin fandom is lowkey dying out so I’ve decided to finally start posting and creating drabbles/one shots here!
I’m still relatively new to this app so posting may be a little weird because I’m not used to the layout, but I’m giving it a shot!
So Hazbin isn’t the only fandom I can write for!
Here are some other fandoms I’m in that I’m willing to write!
<3 Slashers/Horror movie icons
<3 Helluva boss
<3 The hobbit
<3 Star Wars
<3 Supernatural
<3 Sherlock
<3 Marvel
<3 DC
<3 Hellboy (I don’t see enough love for these movies)
<3 FNAF
<3 The last of us
<3 RWBY
———————————————————
🚨For the Hazbin drabbles and everything I will NOT be writing romantic/sexual ones for Alastor. As much as I love his character, writing romantic/sexual stories for him isn’t something I’m willing to do considering how he’s canonically aro/ace. Platonic I will absolutely do!🚨
🚨I will also not be writing ones for Valentino. I genuinely get the ick from his character. If you like him good on you but I do not. His design is cool. His personality makes me want to vomit🚨
Apart from those two characters. I do have limits on what I can write topic wise
Pedophilia, Incest, Rape/Sexual assault are hard no’s. It can be mentioned for backstory stuff if you wish to request something with that. But an actual story on it will be a hard no on my part
——————————————————
X Reader stuff will always be Gender neutral because I want everyone to feel included when it comes to the stories I write!
If you have any requests and/or questions please feel free to ask! I’m always willing to answer!
#short stories#horror#slashers#hellboy#hazbin hotel#helluva boss#one shot#drabble#writing#fanfic#x reader#oc x canon#rwby#star wars#the hobbit#angst#tooth rotting fluff#smut#alternate universe#i will literally write anything#fnaf#the last of us#marvel#dc comics#supernatural#bbc sherlock#hazbin hotel x reader

Return of movie
#they were doing SO well with jaybin. they were so close#and now hes apparently gone to juvie for some reason. i guess they didn't want to explain his whole backstory and needed something#to the point. but cmon man cmon#dc liveblog#and of course the “he was so difficult from dick so arrogant blah blah doomed from the start” but i expected that#bruce can you call him your son like. once. even once#oh interesting new story point#please let jason beat joker with a crowbar its all i ask#how can joker even hear jason rn#!!!!!!!#YES!!!!!!!!#“sure. listen up” *sounds of more crowbar violence*#and theres the brown eyes again. they were so clearly like i cyan teal green blue or something in the intro#his little smile blowing bruce up hehe#are they gonna SKIP jasons play.... they are..... this is so sad.. ..#that bathroom fight... bruce..#awagh i love jasons design so much#oh well this is actually stupid#bruce walking away so jason just keeps yelling at him? bleh. destroying my boy#why is he gonna shoot bruce about it#head in my hands....#oh huh Bruce saved jason. nice#so like#genuine question here#where on earthh does the idea that bruce left jason there and saved the joker. come from#at least this time the case scene sounds more like bruce is mourning jason by having it at the end. bruce thinks he dead n all probs#oh that last scene cuts#overall a fine movie that i will watch again#but i definitely hold higher opinion of the comic story#i understand the points where they had to close in the universe. but man they completely messed up the final confrontation :(

oh yeah saw blue beetle last night and one million thumbs up. going into having heard it’s very tokusatsu and comic booky made it one million times better. goofy and stupid in fun ways. i’m so glad we’ve looped back around to comic book movies being like comic books: confusing chronologically and catered to fans willing to put up with wildly specific nonsense. also heck of a great job making a movie about gentrification and colonization out of the chaos of blue beetle lore and corporate blandification i genuinely had fun
#like it’s not the BEST done story about gentrification and colonization. but it’s a very interesting attempt at doing one in the dc universe#also ADORED how they did ted’s old tech i love love love that it was chronologically accurate and cheesy in the best way#of COURSE his tech is outdated he was a superhero TWENTY-THIRTY YEARS AGO!!#when mcu stuff went back in time they just retconned it to be cool futuristic sci-fi stuff too. i ADORE the idea that a) there WERE#superheroes in the last and b) time still passes! them being there shaped the world and influences the superheroes we have now!!#and SO glad to see DC finally capitalizing on their legacy heroes <- the one thing that stands them out from marvel#yeah this was a mediocre movie to the average fan. i think comic book movies should be. fuck blockbuster everyone movies#cbms should be wildly specific and about characters no one’s ever heard of to tell fun stories with them#also love the minimal level of integration with the rest of the dc movie verse#jaime went to gotham university and there was that one name drop of bruce wayne in an ad but SO happy no obnoxious cameos.#this is just another corner of the universe! it’s a coherent WORLD but that doesn’t mean the same individuals need to show up everywhere.#loved it. i know it’s not a great movie but i had so much fun from the moment i saw the intro talking about actual lore#it was 100x improved by what i already knew about jaime reyes and i know that’s a bad thing for non-aware viewers but fuck it. stop catering#to the audience that refuses to read comic books or put up with their tropes. cater to the people who are already here and love it#thank youuuuuuuuuuuu <3 also give people from the cultures superheroes represent more money to tell those superheroes stories . it’s great

My ideas for a Phantom Stranger/Destiny/Madame Xanadu series pt. 1: The origin of Madame Xanadu:
Now, let's look at the other side of the coin. Let's discuss the origin of Madame Xanadu (or my personal take on it). Madame Xanadu is immortal, and she was granted that gift as recompense for what the world tried to do to her. Born the child of a Romani Fortune Teller and her demonic lover, the child named Urania Kothari learned all the tricks of the magical trade from her skilled mother. But growing up in a time where both romani and non-christians were heavily persecuted, Urania had to be taught to hide her skills with the magical forces all around us.
Still, she found love. While blending in, she met an odd young man named Jason Coledridge who was fascinated by her powers and beauty. They fell in love, and even eloped in secret. It was a fairy tale romance, but one that was fated never to be. For you see, Jason's father was the town's chief priest. And when he learned his son had married a "gypsy witch woman", he formed an angry mob set to burn Urania alive.
But while the mob came to burn Urania alive, a bitter and ironic twist of fate meant that Jason died with Urania and her mother. Jason died at the hands of his own father, who had been driven to the point of pure hatred and fanaticism. It's a sad story, one of lost love and religious persecution. But it isn't the end of the tale of Urania Kothari.
Although one holy group and their vindictive God may have turned against her, clearly someone out there in one of the other pantheons had their eyes on Urania. Because instead of dying, she merely fell unconscious in a death like sleep. And when she finally woke up, she was in her current occult shop. A telepathic message from one of the local celtic deities revealed that they had spirited Urania away to colonial america and hidden her away in a new shop. She would assist people with her magic, and she would do it under an alias.
She chose the alias of Madame Xanadu. Xanadu for the ancient palace of Kublai Khan, which always had an association with mysticism (ever since ancient europeans were baffled by tales of chinese culture and it's advancements). Under her new name, she has lived for centuries. And now you might understand why she would take in the Phantom Stranger and Destiny after an unkind god stripped them of their powers. She, too, was condemned by that selfsame vindictive god, and she would never leave anyone to suffer the way she did.
So now the phantom stranger and destiny are living with madame xanadu, while they try to work out all the details of their past and while they try to find a way to restore their powers. So if this were a real comic, all three of them would be the stars. And since the phantom stranger is the only one with a real supporting cast, we'd probably have doctor thirteen and cassandra craft show up in this series. Maybe cassandra could get a job as madame xanadu's assistant?
This concept could also serve as a great lead in to a Justice League Canada Dark style book. With Madame Xanadu, the Phantom Stranger and Destiny, we'd only need at least two or three more to have a round five or six initial team members. Perhaps Cassandra Craft and Deadman would work? Maybe Etrigan or Zatanna or something too?
#I got really hung up trying to think of a name for madame xanadu#that was a hassle#but thankfully hours of searching led me to workable first and last names#madame xanadu#phantom stranger#the phantom stranger#destiny#destiny dc#cassandra craft#justice league dark#deadman#boston brand#doctor thirteen#terrence thirteen#dc#dc comics#dc universe#dcu#my ideas#dc ideas#comics ideas#story ideas#dc headcanons#dc headcanon
