Abby Anderson had always been the kind of person who valued simple moments of happiness. Today was one of those days, a day spent leisurely strolling through the aisles of a bustling mall with you, her girlfriend.

You two had held hands as you made your way through the crowded shopping center. Your fingers intertwined with Abby's strong, calloused ones. Abby's tall, muscular frame contrasted with your smaller, more delicate one, but together you fit perfectly. Abby didn't mind the strange looks, she only cared about pleasing you and making sure you had a cute outfit...it didn't truly matter to Abby though... she was just going to take it off of you later anyways.

"Anything specific you're looking for, babe?" Abby asked, her green eyes peering into yours as she rubbed your hand with her thumb.

There were a few things you spotted while walking through the mall with Abby but you didn't want to overwhelm Abby with your shopping spree needs. Instead, you admired the charming storefronts adorned with colorful displays of clothes, accessories, and all things cute. You couldn't resist peeking into a few windows, ogling at the adorable dresses, quirky trinkets, and fluffy stuffed animals that seemed to beckon with the pearls and light colors..

"Not reall- Oh my god." That's when the most beautiful, white, lacy babydoll dress you have ever seen caught your eyes..You had to have it.

"Look at that dress, Abby!" You claimed, tugging Abby toward the shop. "It's absolutely gorgeous! Can we please go look at it?"

Abby chuckled, her heart fluttering at the sight of your excitement. "Alright, let's check it out."

You ran into the shop and giggled immediately checking out the dress in the display window.

Abby reached for the dress, gently lifting it off the hanger as she hid the price tag from you. The soft fabric cascaded through her fingers, revealing intricate patterns and delicate lace that made your heart skip a beat. "Let me help you into it princess." You couldn't help but laugh and kiss Abby's cheek, Shuffling as you both make it to the tiny dressing rooms with those shitty curtains.

Abby helped you take off your little Kami and jeans making sure to treat you gently, you were so fragile and perfect.. Abby honestly got nervous around you..

Abby's cheeks turned a soft shade of baby pink as she slipped the dress over your shoulders, her fingers brushing gently against your skin as she adjusted the straps with a delicate touch.

The dress, with its elegant design, hugged your form in all the right places, Abby couldn't help but stare.

"Fuck.. babe- you're so pretty.." Abby mumbled and became a flustered mess..

"Isn't it beautiful?" you asked, your voice barely above a whisper.

With a gentle touch, she began to pepper your exposed neck and shoulders with soft pecks and kisses. Her lips were warm and tender against your skin. You closed your eyes, savoring the sensation and giggling softly..

"Abby.." You mumbled just watching Abby sprinkle the kisses all over you in the mirror..

“Buying this for you… now,” Abby murmured into your neck, her warm breath sending shivers down your spine. Her fingers traced tender circles along your waist..

In space, no one can hear you scream.

Unless you were on Kids Next Door Moonbase.

There? People could hear you screaming out the wazoo.

Why, there was so much screaming going on there; it was practically white noise for Global Command. If there ever was a moment when there wasn't the lively chatter of a buhmillion kids from all walks of life communing on the base to end all bases, then it was either winter holiday break or something was terribly, horribly wrong.

At the moment, it was barely Thanksgiving. And given how quiet the Moonbase currently was, it was safe to say the silence was due to the latter scenario.

I.e. something bad was going down.

In docking bay eleventeen, a gaggle of operatives stiffly patrolled the area. Their movements were almost robotic, and their once bright eyes were now dull and listless as they meandered about, attending to some command with nary a fuss.

"Come on, guys! Snap out of it!" came a muffled shout from a holding cell. A fist pounded against the metal door, frantic eyes glaring out the tiny peephole. "You gotta fight it!"

The guard of the door, a random cafeteria working armed with a SCAMP rifle, narrowed her eyes at the door. "Be…quiet…"

Her tone lacked agency. Devoid of any emotion.

The prisoner redoubled their efforts, the door trembling under their futile efforts. "I got injured operatives and scared cadets in here, you jerk!" His voice was littered with panicked urgency. "One of them needs an inhaler! ASA-NOW!"

The cafeteria guard ignored him, focusing on her single-minded directive.

Suddenly, the docking bay lit up as a single SCAMPER hovered up to the loading terminal. Nearby, an out of place DOH-DOH Squad officer jerkily directed a gaggle science nerds to form up around the galley plank.

All children present crowded around the ship, the sights of their rifles steady against the hull's structural weak points.

The door to the SCAMPER hissed open, weapons humming madly in response.

"Don't…move," the kid in charge demanded of the unknown pilot. He glared. "State…your…business."

From the bowels of the ship, an accented voice cried, "Pizza delivery!"

"We did not order a…" the guard blinked, everyone looking down confused as a pizza box was chucked in the middle of their group. "…pizza?"

The cardboard lid slowly opened on its own, an angel choir sounding off as they all bore witness to the golden glory of the fabled Ninety-Nine Cheese New York Style Pizza.

Even in their mind-addled stated state, all operatives present couldn't stop their mouths from salivating.

Steam rose from the pie's crust as the cheese atop it began to boil and bubble.

SPLOOOOOOOSH!

The uncut, medium-sized pie exploded in a gooey burst of Parmesan, Asiago, and mozzarella. The force blew back all caught unaware, their bodies glued and trapped to nearby surfaces by hot, sticky cheese.

The way clear, a small figure cockily ambled out of the scamper. An African-American boy strutted onto the Moonbase proper, dressed in a worn, orange jumpsuit, the torso folded down to reveal the stretchy white jersey baggy against his chest. He kicked the toes of his Nike sneakers against the deck, pumping up his kicks for the inevitable butt-whooping he was about to dish out.

Jerome Kingsly used the nozzle of his blaster to adjust his shades, combing through his messy fro whilst his lips curled into a self-assured smirk. "Down in Brooklyn, we call that the Nine-Nine Special."

"Numbuh Nine-Nine! Over here!"

At first, my reaction to the counterparts was like, oh wow they're scumbags! Like Bro, Sans is literally paying for you to live in your house and you guys are doing nothing to help the situation besides telling him that he's a bad brother and that they're gonna take Papyrus from him (well Blue did). Now that's just plain out ridiculous. How is this supposed to turn into found family, I don't see it. Well, as I read on, I got my answer. Now the counterparts aren't so bad, I mean, they're trying, and that's what matters... Right?.)

DAMN! it's over. :( Oh my gosh, I remember seeing this for the first time in like what December last year and was like damn, this AO3 sounds amazing, I wanna see what would happen if Ink was recruited by Nightmare, AND let me tell you, it did not disappoint. My mind was blown away by how amazing the storytelling, characters, fluff, angst, everything was written. Reading the first chapter, I was like if this fic doesn't get popular then I'm going to pull my hair out. I can't describe how PHENOMENAL this story is. It flowed so smoothly, like, MMMM AMAZING. bhrefeaonroejafs I just can't believe it's over. :( What a frickin damn journey.)

(This trope is getting popular, and I can't decide whether to love or hate it! It hurts my heart to see Peter like this. The difference between this fic and all the other, 'Tony has obvious favouritism' fics I've read, is that the Avengers are as much the same as Tony, but in this fic, they are actually trying to get along and see what's wrong. I know Peter's 16 and they haven't noticed before but it's better trying late them not trying at all. It warms my heart that (so far) Bruce and Bucky are trying.)

(Apple bobbing this not something you want to do if you have a very bad history with water. I mean, Tony is trying to ignore that he has PTSD and trauma from the hardships he has gone through, and the Avengers has to get it through his head that it's ok to feel that way and he won't get kicked out for it.)

Some things are gonna be true but a lot of them are going to be false and well I really hope by the end of this, the heroes will still be heroes and they're is no one going to jail for this. (Maybe that's too much of a high hope, I mean we'll see.))

(I hate and love these fics so much! This is heart-wrenching! I can't image how hard that must've felt. The Avengers just can't get their head out of their asses. Like really, is it that hard to see that the world's "mightiest heroes" aren't really being that mighty if they are really neglecting a child. A child that already had a hard life. Shame on you guys. I can't wait for more and see how this is gonna turn out.)

(Oh my gosh, this is actually amazing. The idea of Peter tutoring Mara and then basically adopting her as his younger sibling when they figured something was wrong is so cute. Her mum is 100% a psychopath, that behaviour is utterly inhumane and disgusting. I'm so glad that Clint and Natasha and everyone really love her to get away from that terrible situation.)

I'm so glad that the Avengers are here for him and don't you just love them being domestic! I love it when fics have the idea of someone else adopting Peter and not just Irondad. Don't get me wrong, I love Irondad but it's a nice feeling of having other Avengers adopting Peter for once. if anyone have other fics that have an Avenger besides Tony adopting Peter AND a domestic Avenger tag, send them my way!)

This Damn Room Finally Explained.

I'm so glad we FINALLY got an explanation for this iconic bedroom in Fnaf 4. It's fake. Everything in this room is fake. It along with the hallways, the Plushtrap hallway, bathroom, kitchen, and living room is just one big test chamber built by William Afton to test his hallucinogenic gas on children he had kidnapped so he can measure their fear levels.

Hard to believe some people actually called this years ago. Well, not the fear gas, but this room being used for an experiment.

To address Afton measuring the children's fear. It can be assumed that he knew of the existence of Agony. Agony is used as a blanket term for all negative emotions and fear would be the easiest for kids to express.

It does makes sense William would eventually come across Agony as Remnant is only made when someone dies. Afton knows he can't go on a killing spree in the hopes he can collect some Remnant. That would draw too much attention even if he does get away with the murders. Afton is not dumb, he's an intelligent man who started a business with his partner and best friend Henry. He even ran his own business, "Afton Robotics". What got William killed was his own arrogance. Believing hiding in the suit he wore to kill the missing kids would protect him.

Now onto the hallucinogenic gas. It was a surprising reveal that this whole-time gas was being pumped into the bedroom. Causing whoever was inside to hallucinate the Nightmare Animatronics. Who turned out to be mannequins with Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy costumes on them.

There have been debates if the Nightmares were real, given they have the word nightmare in their names. But in the world of Fnaf. It's entirely possible for William Afton to make actual physical Nightmare Animatronics.

With the reveal of the hallucinogenic gas. These tanks make so much sense now. In UCN they're oxygen tanks, but in the real world they're tanks that hold Afton's fear gas. The main character Rory from Dittophobia comes across them after escaping the bedroom.

There are a few people who don't like this reveal of the gas as it makes William Afton come off as a Mad Scientist. Something the games never hinted at. Which is true and the thing is... he isn't. He's a Mad Engineer from my point of view. But Afton does have to study Remnant and Agony in a scientific manner if he wants to understand how it works and then make himself immortal. Do you want to see Afton brew up some potions, cackle like a witch, and stand around a cauldron, chanting? Cause I sure don't. He needs science to study this supernatural element he discovered to achieve his goal.

I should address Rory since I mentioned him. He's the main character of Dittophobia and he's one of the kids Afton kidnapped for his experiments. NO, we don't play as Rory in Fnaf 4. It's kind of confirmed we're Micheal Afton in the fourth game and I don't think Willaim was experimenting on his own kid.

Anyway. Rory is the last surviving kid of the experiments, and he has been doing this for TEN YEARS! This is because the experiments are automated and at this point William would've already been dead and trapped in the safe room in the Fnaf 1 location. So, no one can stop the experiments. What's mind blowing but something we already knew was the Fanf 4 bedroom connecting to Circus Baby's. But the Funtime Animatronics still being there. Confirming Sister Location is AFTER Five Nights at Freddy's 1 and not before. Like everyone thought it was. Mainly because of Micheal being fired due to his bad odor making people believe he was corpse when working at the Fnaf 1 location.

Dittophobia finally gave us the answer we needed to put to rest a theory that has been in the fandom for years. Great job to whoever wrote Dittophobia.

His consumption of such was , in the eyes of humans, pointless but the acrid smell and instant combustion upon hitting his system made him feel alive even when nothing else would.

It was in this brooding state that you approached him.

The scrape of the chair against the wood floor only further filled Eclipse with dread.

This was it.

You had come to tell him you were through, that your debt was settled and you were leaving.

Perhaps you'd pack up and leave this city entirely, he couldn't hold you here anymore, nothing could. He had made sure you had means.

Surely you would use them.

"You're back." You say and the sweet sound of your voice makes him weak in ways that shouldn't be possible for a machanical being.

When he risks a glimpse at you, his condition is far from improved.

The way the light catches your eyes is doing things to his processors.

He continues to trace sensless patterns into the table top. Normally he would be quick to reply with a clever remark but he is speechless. His voicebox crackling with each failed attempt at a greeting.

This seems to amuse you and your bell-like laughter leaves him reeling.

"It's...good to see you again. For awhile I thought-"

"I may not get another chance to say this." His words felt too loud.

The din of the club around them seemed to fade out whenever he met your eyes. They were perfect pools of light, dappled with shade like the pond in that park you liked. Stars, everything in this city would haunt him after you were gone.

"I know we're square and that you probably are getting on the first train outta here after this but I need you to know..." he took your hands a bit more roughly than he meant to and felt you flinch. He relaxed his grip immediately, softening in a way that only you could make him soften.

"I would have died a contented bot back there. You, you're worth more than any racket I've ever run. I-I just- I can't..."

Then you leaned forward and you were kissing him.

Eclipse pressed closer. Arms moving to pull you closer. He took all you gave him greedily. As if it was the very fuel he ran off of.

When you pulled away, you brought a hand to the side of his faceplate and he couldn't help but let his optics shutter.

You had so seldom been the one to initiate anything and this might be his last taste of-

Eclipse opened his eyes with a start. You were looking at him with the most serious look you had every given him.

If someone had told him that he'd ever consider walking away, away from everything he had fought and killed for in this city? Well, they probably would have lived to finish the thought. I really like FNAF 3. I love how green tinged and old everything looks, Parts of the old animatronics being strung up as decorations was cool to see. I think it's the best utilization of FNAF's orignal style of storytelling (getting the backstory through short 8 bit scenes every night, getting the good ending with clues from those minigames, the Puppet showing up on the last few nights, etc.) The secret minigames were so sad and strange. Black and static voids with quiet music boxes playing. Little colorful rooms with painted clouds and nighttime windows. The giant crying figure of the marionette and black trees and glittering stars. The smallest snapshot into Fredbear's, into the tiny, distant joy that used to exist in these places and these things. A glitching, toothed, purple rabbit spirit being the last to act before all the children can finally have their birthday party and move on...

good morning team. as promised here is my Very serious fanf movie review. there will be spoilers if anybody cares about that type of thing. also this review is messy as hell and I don’t know what the fuck I’m talking about

the first thing I’ll say is that it was not a good movie. it was like. pretty boring actually. but at the end of the day this was the fucking five nights at freddy’s movie and I love fnaf and I have since I was 10 and I was seeing it with four people I love so it was a fun time. like seriously we were fucking Losing it in the back of the theater. the worst part was that everybody else was just sitting there like 🪑 as if the movie wasn’t hilarious. with the exception of when matpat came on the screen and everybody in the theater turned to whoever they were with and went “what the fuck.” in the car on the way there my sister’s friend was like “there’s gonna be a matpat cameo there has to be” and I was like “no there’s not man don’t be ridiculous” but when that motherfucker came on screen I nearly went up to the front of the theater and killed myself in front of everybody. okay that’s dramatic but I did turn to my sisters friend (four people away) and say “I’m gonna fucking killing you” way louder than I intended and I’m sure everybody in the theater wanted to kill Me and it wouldn’t be the last time. because as I said we were the only ones in that theater having fucking Fun I thought the energy in there was going to be electric but no. whatever at least we were having a good time being annoying and losing our Mind whenever anybody coughed up in the back right corner.

but as for the actual movie again. yeah it was boring. idk. like not much really happened and the Big Moment where the kids killed william afton was so underwhelming. the whole thing was underwhelming. but I did like the movie. I’ve loved the games forever and I was so excited to see all the animatronics get up and move around and be silly and have a good time. mike doing all that lucid dreaming stuff while completely neglecting his job was fun and I Love some good guilt over the loss of a sibling so I enjoyed. throughout the whole movie I kept turning to my friend and saying “this is just like lilo and stitch” because it literally fucking was and nobody’s talking about it. that’s a good thing for the record. one of my fav moments in the whole movie is actually when abby thinks mike is gonna transfer custody to the aunt so she goes into her room and scribbles out mike’s face in all the pictures she’s so real for that. speaking of abby I do have to wonder why the kids chose Her to. I want to say torment but that doesn’t work and neither does the word groom. pick on? single out? seek out? idk maybe it was just because she’s the sister of the (presumed) first victim garrett but who’s to say.

okay let’s talk game comparisons :) I actually really liked that the movie took place in a timeline separate from the games it made the movie a lot more compelling to somebody who knows the game lore very well. one detail I Loved is how they didn’t say mike’s last name at All until the final fight with william like it wanted to keep us guessing as to whether his last name was schmidt or afton. I wish the movie had taken place in the fnaf 2 pizzeria so we could see balloon boy and puppet and who there’s chica but that would have just been Too Much so I get it. also did the animatronic they tried to shove abby in lion like a biddybab or was I going crazy? if it was biddybab does that imply the existence of circus baby’s pizza world? because they were clearly setting this movie up for a sequel and I would Love to see circus baby. anyways I’m kind of obsessed with the the way they sort of switched up the roles of the kids. in a way. like. okay this next part is going to be really annoying. so it’s like the afton family was vanessa and william and the emily family was like the schmidt family with mike abby and garrett. like garrett was effectively the charlie since he was the first and since I know the games I have to assume he “gave life” to the other missing children by having their souls live on in the animatronics. garrett was Also an evan figure because his brother like accidentally caused his death and couldn’t save him. but mike was also a puppet/charlie figure because of how he was helping abby the whole movie. okay maybe that’s tenuous. but abby was Also like charlie because she helped put the souls to rest by helping them realize that william was evil. but she was also like elizabeth because she kept going to the animatronics despite the clear warnings etc. vanessa was a mike like character because she was the child of the serial killer and was trying to do her best to atone for her fathers sins but ultimately sucked at it. and mike is like michael in the way that he Is michael also he feels immense guilt over the death of his brother that he “caused” the death of through negligence. they all have to prove that they’re not a bad person for things that happened outside of their control when they were children. idk where I was really going with that but I was thing about that a Lot during the movie.

this deserves its own paragraph but vanessa wants to be betty cooper so baddddd sorry there’s only one girl with a blonde ponytail and a serial killer dad that I support. vanessa could never even Dream of being betty.

back to the actual movie I feel like I would have liked it if it was gorier. one of the stand out moments for me was max the babysitter getting bitten in half and when mike escapes getting shoved in a suit and finds all of their bodies because it was genuinely pretty creepy. could have been scarier but whatever it’s fine. all that being said tho the movie was visually stunning (to me) and the actors were great and I fucking liked it. it was funny and it was a good time and yeah maybe it would have been better on 1.5 speed but you can’t have everything.

and I think I was able to enjoy it more than everybody else (aside from my sister) that I talked to about it because they were like “I spent the whole movie trying to figure out where in the timeline it took place!” but I went in knowing that it didn’t take place in the game timeline at all which probably saved the movie for me.

What's the origin of your blog title?

Well, it's a pun, honestly. "Vale" is actually my name, my chosen one at least, which I first started playing with around 2019? I liked it, because it was "a gender neutral, masculine leaning name" and it's a word for a type of long and narrow valley, used commonly in older poems. It made me happy. It wasn't until later that I discovered the podcast "Welcome to Nightvale" and decided I was very amused at the notion of naming myself after a cryptid podcast, so settled on it as a final decision. "WRIGHT" is the part that's a pun. Vale Wright. Because. I write a lot. (I think I'm clever, it made me giggle.) And then 67 is just my favorite number, haha. Idk why, I just like it. Close to 66, close to 69, and its got a 7 in it.

Weirdest Habit/Trait

Umm weirdest habit is that I only like to eat in even numbers? Or at the very least, like... good numbers? Like if I only have one of something, I'll split it into two. 3 and 5 are OK, even though they're not even. 7 is tolerable. 9 and any thing above is wrong. Gotta have 10 pizza rolls, not 11. Gotta have 8 bites of rice, not 9. Does that make sense? It's weird, lol, but I think it's left over from when I had braces? Chewing the same amount of food on either side of my mouth meant pain stayed more even, and faded quicker after adjustment.

Weirdest TRAIT is that I have synesthesia. Chromestesia, specifically. Every sound I hear I also SEE. Music is a visual experience as much as it is auditory to me. It's fun, but can get overstimulating.

Hobbies:

Music! My mom is a music director, and I'm a pit percussion tech - that's mallets and auxiliary - and the synesthesia makes the experience extra fun. Been playing for 9 years now.

Mythology! I've always had a head for mythology, and was utterly obsessed with it as a kid, Greek especially, though I've branched out into some others, mostly Norse.

Astronomy! I volunteer at the local observatory, and I'm being trained as a telescope technician. When we're hosting events, the core group of volunteers all have different niches, I suppose you could say. My head for mythology comes in handy here, because I'm The Storyteller. I'm really good at memorizing the mythologies behind the constellations and planets, so I'll show people where they are, and introduce them. It feels a bit like introducing my old friends, I've been enraptured by the night sky as long as I can remember. It'll never be my career, I'm afraid, but sometimes I'll see the same spark I know had in a little kids eyes, and I'll let them use my laser or help me align my telescope, just like was done for me when I was a kid. I want to encourage that in them. Sometimes the stars were what got me through life.

Reading! I don't read as many physical books as I used to (I would DEVOUR libraries, I got an award in middle school for Reading 60+ books over my 8th grade year, more than any other student) but I still read a LOT of fanfiction, haha.

Writing! (shoves WIP's back into the bulging closet) I love writing! Wanted to be a professional author when I was little. First fanfic I wrote was a Warrior Cats self insert fanfiction, in which I was a Riverclan medicine cat apprentice named LeopardPaw, who did not like fish. I was 7 years old, I did not even know what fanfiction was at that point. It had three chapters, and I have no idea what happened to it, I think the notebook got thrown away at some point?

I Do The Arting! SOMETIMES! I'm not the best, but I've got a few drawings drifting around out there, some paintings. It's fun.

Baking! I am the designated baker for my family, lol. When fruit is about to go bad, it's my job to make something with it so it doesn't go to waste. Syrup, jam, bread, cake, etc.

Crafting! I'm not the craftiest bitch on the block, but I can weild a needle and thread pretty well when I put my mind to it. I've made a ball gown, a cosplay, and some other little things over the years. Tie blankets, plushies, etc.

If you work, what's your profession?

So I work for the school district, and my official job title is "Classified Substitute." This is because I actually do a lot of different jobs. I'm currently listed as a Substitute for: secretary, lunch aid, recess supervisor, custodian, and paraprofessional. (If you don't know, a parapro is the person who works directly with the special education and disabled students.) So if any of them are out, I'm called, and if I'm available, I'll cover their position for the day.

You all remember Substitute teachers? There are also Substitutes for basically everything else in a school. I'm like... the temp agency of the school district. I'm not currently qualified to Substitute for Admin (Principal and their crew), counselors, mainetance, librarians (because my district doesn't DO sub librarians, the neighboring one does, and I would be qualified there) or teachers, BUT I'm currently working on getting my Substitute teaching license! It's just a lot of bureaucracy and waiting on the state education department to get back to me, haha.

If you could have any job you wish, what would it be?

Oh, that's a tricky one. I've had a lot of dreams over the years. To be a writer, to be an astronomer, to be a musician, to be a teacher. For the most part, I've made space for my dreams within my hobbies, and I'm content where I am, at least for now. A lot of "what I'd be if I could be anything" are dependent on living in an ideal world, something we don't have, and never will, and that's ok.

There will never be a perfect solution in an imperfect world, and there shouldn't be. Such a thing would be incompatible with reality, and thus made imperfect in its obsolescence.

That's alright though. "There is beauty in imperfection" and all that. I guess no matter what, I'd want to teach? I love teaching, it's part of who I am, whether that be music or astronomy or whatever student I'm working with as a parapro. I don't even know WHAT I'd teach, just as long as I was helping someone learn.

I mean, I like to think I've got a good collection of miscellaneous skills, haha. I'm not sure if there's One Thing I'm like, really really good at. To be an amateur is to do things for the love of it, after all.

Music classes, haha. It's probably the only thing that got me through high school. I did marching band, concert band, drumline, colorguard, concert choir, advanced acapella choir, and one year, I was the directors TA.

If I have to say a core subject, then science. Astronomy is my heart, but science in general makes me happy.

Least favorite subject at school

Idk, probably math? I certainly hated it at the time, and I struggled with it a LOT. But as I've been like... an Adult Person, I realized I'm not actually that bad at it? Maybe it was the way it was being taught at my high school, but like. I was really awful at it through public school, struggled with all of it. But then I get to college, and I'm finally taking astronomy, and I'm doing COMPLICATED shit, and it comes so EASY? And when I'm working with my students, I'll grab an extra worksheet, because I actually find it fun now, and I like to do it with them.

Not sure, the nuture aspect maybe? I do NOT want kids, no no no no no. I love them, I love working with them, I do NOT, N O T, want kids of my own.

What's the origin of your blog title? Well that’s simply because I got a tiny bit hyperfixated on the Neuvichili ship (Neuvillette x Childe x Zhongli from Genshin Impact) during the Fontaine patch, and that out of the 100 fics that exist for it, I wrote like, 65 of them? 😅 And since I posted them on anon at first, the neuvichili author name stuck.

Something you're good at: Coming up with story ideas! I’d be happy if I managed to write down half of what I imagine.😅 Working on a fic sometimes even feels like a race before a new idea (or even worse, hyperfixation ah ah) arrives

Something you're bad at: Social interactions. I feel much more comfortable writing than talking and I have to plan ahead/brace myself for the smallest things, like checking out at the grocery store/asking a retail worker for advice, otherwise I get overwhelmed quickly.

Something you love: Fanfiction and fanart! (again, obviously)

Something you could talk about for hours off the cuff: Greek Mythology! I got really involved in it as a kid and my interest in it never really left. Also whatever show/book/movie/game/etc I’m hyperfixated on at the moment. And anything related to my OCs.

Something you hate: When people shout/raise their voices.

Something you collect: T-shirts related to the pieces of media I enjoy (my greatest finding so far has been an official Arcane t-shirt that has both Viktor AND Jayce on it, among other characters, which I was overjoyed about because of how little official Jayce merch there is)

Something you forget: To eat, mostly when I’m focused on something I’m really invested in. Often it’s when I’m writing/ working on some craft.

What's your love language? Quality time and words of affirmation

Favorite movie/show: Yu-Gi-Oh!, it will always have a special place in my heart since that’s basically the show that got me into storytelling and writing

Favorite food: Most pasta-based dishes I’d say.

Favorite animal: Oh that’s a tough one, right now I’d say sharks (they’re awesome!) but I love so many animals that I might give you a different answer of you ask me tomorrow

What were you like as a child? The textbook definition of a gifted kid and dealing with medical issues. 0/10, do not recommend. I was/still am very curious/passionate about a lot of things which is nice though.

Favorite subject at school? History.

Least favorite subject: Maths.

What's your best character trait? Creativity, definitely. I love writing stories/making things and sharing them with others.

What's your worst character trait? I’m way too anxious and my mind will come up with the most impossible, worst-case scenarios over the tiniest of things (In a way, I guess that’s the downside of being good at inventing stories)

If you could change any detail of your life right now, what would it be? No more chronic pain please.

If you could travel in time, who would you like to meet? Oh if I could travel in time, I would definitely skip the people part and go a few million years back so I could see all kinds of extinct creatures (and probably get eaten by one, because Jurassic Parks hasn’t taught me anything)

Niall immediately jerks back, cradling his wounded hand. “Ow?!”

Harry’s sets down his drink and grabs his fork, voice indifferent as he spears a chunk of steamed broccoli. “I warned you last year.”

Adam takes a casual bite out of a bread roll, using it to signal at Niall pointedly. “He did.”

Mitch sighs grandly from across the table, grabbing the bowl of herb and spice potatoes Niall had prepared for their meal, scooping a spoonful onto his plate. “What did I say about violence at the dinner table?”

7. Is your OC called any pet names?

Most people will call him by his name, but his wife, Rose, calls him all sorts of silly pet names. (Hon, Love, My dear, Darling, etc.) In letters they write to each other, they never use each others names, and just use their pet names for each other. Rose mostly calls him ‘Teddy bear’ or ‘darling’. Tristan mostly calls her ‘My Darling’ or ‘Flower’. He‘ll use nicknames for other people too, of course. Anyone younger than him is ‘kiddo’ or ‘kiddie’, anyone his age is ‘sport’ ‘doll’ or, for his fellow crew mates, I’ve made a list of ones he’d probably use (He’s was born and raised in the UK, and isn’t too adverse on foreign names, so he opts for a shorter, more English version sometimes. He’s also always on a last name basis!);

9. What little things make your OC happy?

Everything! The things he’ll think about for a long time afterwards are when someone laughs at his jokes, whenever someone rants to him about their interests or problems, when he gets a letter from someone he knows, and (this is kinda’ cheesy) good craftsmanship. When he sees a ship with paticularly good design and high quality of wood, he’ll give a stoic nod and stare at her for a couple of minutes before commenting ‘She sure is a beaut.’ He also feels happy and right at home whenever he sees a bouquet of wildflowers. He keeps a whole book of pressed wildflowers from his hikes into the countryside, and he likes to flip through it whenever he’s feeling homesick. 

10. How does you’re OC express happiness? 

He’s very open about his emotions, and often seems to over exaggerate. He’ll give a huge goofy grin and his eyes will light up when he experiences something remotely positive. Sometimes he’ll do a giddy little dance and fan/flap his hands when he’s super happy! (That’s what he did when Rose said ‘yes’ after he proposed.)

11. Where is your OC’s favorite place to spend time? 

Out on the main deck, when hardly anyone is out. He’ll lean against the railing and smoke his pipe for a bit, while he rolls over the days events in his head. He also likes his quarters, where he’ll spend time reading a book or carving a little statuette [He carves little animals :)] or knitting. He has a lot of hobbies!

Chapter 1: Haruto

“Monster!”

“Demon!”

“You’re a stain on this household!”

“Get out!”

Haruto woke up with a start. Just a dream, he thought to himself. Except it wasn’t. He’s been having the same dream the past couple weeks. A dream remembering his foster family throwing him out of their house on his twelfth birthday. Now he’s roaming the streets, trying his best to survive. How his old foster parents could throw out a child was beyond him, but dwelling on such things didn’t feed or clothe him.

Guess I have my work cut out for me, Haruto thought to himself. He lived in a small town where everybody knew each other. Although the townsfolk didn’t have the same opinion that his foster parents did, they did see him as the asshole kid who would pickpocket them. Lucky for him, he was usually fast enough to evade the wrath of the townspeople. If not… the amount of untreated bruises and marks speak for themselves.

Alright, let’s go, Haruto grunted, the bruises on his calves flaring as he stood up. Let’s start another monotonous day of “work.”

Whew, not bad, Haruto thought to himself, looking at the small wad of cash. He wasn’t as cruel as to keep the wallets. He’d usually leave them on park benches close to where he stole the wallet. He was relatively unharmed that day after stealing from a kid his age (he had no sympathy), a middle-aged businessman, and a woman with an obnoxious haircut who he saw shouting at a restaurant owner not long before he stole from her. He stuffed the cash in his pocket before looking for his next target. As he looked from behind a wall, he noticed a couple that he has never seen before. He knows he had never seen the couple before because he would have caught two people with such noticeable appearances.

The taller of the two was a woman with long, pink hair that flowed down her back. Contrasting her hair color, her outfit was completely black. How can someone wear so much black in the summer? Haruto wondered to himself. His gaze wandered to the shorter woman.

The shorter of the two had orange hair, wearing a white shirt and denim short shorts. For some reason, she reminded Haruto of KFP, the international food chain where he usually went out to eat. Since he didn’t have a lot of money most of the time, their affordable 4 for 4 deal was usually what he ate for most of his meals.

These two will be my next targets, Haruto steeled himself. Sometimes, pickpocketing wasn’t as simple as bumping into someone and taking their wallet. Sometimes, he had to stalk his target for a fair amount of time before finding the right time to strike.

“Ne Calli,” the shorter one looked at the taller lady. “Why did you want to come here for our vacation?”

“I dunno,” the taller woman, Calli, shrugged, turned to look at her partner, one of her crimson eyes revealing itself to Haruto. “I guess I just wanted to go somewhere a bit quieter.”

Vacation? Haruto thought to himself before stealthily moving to hide behind a tree. We don’t get vacationers every day. What an odd couple.

Haruto continued to follow the couple, listening in on their conversations. The two had very interesting conversations which tended to entertain Haruto more than anything he had done ever since he got kicked out. “Ne Calli, do you think there’s a love hotel here?” The shorter one, who Haruto learned, was named ‘Kusotori.’

Who names their kid Stupid Bird? Haruto thought to himself. They’re almost as bad as my old ones.

“For the last time, we’re both girls. How the hell are you going to knock me up?” Calli asked.

“Well I did read this interesting fanf-,”

“NO!” Calli shouted, causing some birds to fly away due to the noise. “Absolutely not.”

“Awh, it would be so much fun,” Kusotori pouted. “Maybe we can-, Calli? Where did you go?”

Haruto stiffened when he realized Calli was gone. Huh? She was right there, Haruto thought to himself. Where could she have gone?

“Mind explaining why you’ve been following us for the past half hour?” Haruto almost turned due to hearing Calli’s voice coming from behind him, but was frozen when he saw a curved blade make its way towards his throat.

“Calli!” Kusotori turned, running up to the two. “Why are you threatening a child with your scythe?!”

Haruto would normally correct her (as twelve years old is not the age of a child, at least according to himself), but the scythe to his throat kept him parylized with fear. “He’s been following us for the past half hour,” Calli explained. “I was just asking for him to explain himself.”

“The poor boy looks terrified,” Kusotori knelt down to Haruto’s level before looking up at Calli. “Put the weapon away. We can talk like civilized people.”

“You’re the farthest thing from civilized that I know of,” Calli grumbled, but Kusotori had succeeded in convincing the psychopath into putting away the scythe.

“So why were you following us?” Kusotori asked. Haruto turned his head shyly to look at Kusotori before looking away. Hey eyes were too inviting. It was most likely a trap. It had to be a trap. “Don’t worry. We won’t be mad. Right?”

“S-sure,” Calli stuttered. “We won’t be mad or anything.”

“Need… money,” Haruto muttered.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t hear you,” Kusotori said. Her voice was just as inviting as her eyes. Haruto was convinced that she had nothing but ill will towards him. After all, that’s how his foster parents acted before…

“Needed money,” Haruto said a little louder.

“So you were going to pickpocket us?” Calli growled.

“Don’t assume things like that!” Kusotori looked slightly shocked at Calli’s accusation.

“‘M sorry,” to be fair, Haruto did feel slightly bad for attempting to rob the nice couple blind, but he mostly said it so Calli wouldn’t tear his throat out. He had a feeling that would happen if Calli caught him lying.

“What was that?” Kusotori asked gently.

“I’m sorry,” Haruto looked down, suddenly a lot more ashamed as he had to admit to his crime aloud. “S-she’s right. I don’t have any other way to make money.”

“Oh you poor thing,” Kusotori brushed her fingers along Haruto’s cheek but pulled her hand away when he flinched. Kusotori then glared at Calli, who ended up not saying anything. “Do you have a home where I can take you to? I’ll be sure to give your parents a stern talking to.”

The words ‘home’ and ‘parents’ caused Haruto to tear up a little bit. His expulsion from his old home was still fresh in his mind, considering he was only kicked out a couple weeks ago. “N-no… I don’t have a home. I’m sorry.”

“Why would you be sorry?” Kusotori asked. “There’s nothing to be sorry about.”

“I…” Haruto was about to apologize again, but decided better.

“Ne Calli, can we keep him?” Kiara looked up to Calli, a pleading look in her eyes.

“W-what?!” Calli exclaimed exactly what Haruto was thinking.

“Just think about it,” Kusotori said, a malicious yet playful smirk revealing itself on her face. “It’s definitely better than two people being after your milk-,”

“Fine! Fine! We can keep him!” Calli shouted, walking around to stand next to Kiara. “Just don’t regret it later.”

“W-what’s happening…?” Haruto thought aloud. This weird couple… was adopting him?!

“We’re adopting you!” Kusotori exclaimed. “My name is Takanashi Kiara and this is Mori Calliope. Feel free to call us Mama and Papa. What’s your name?”

“I…” Haruto’s throat hurt. He didn’t realize how unused to talking he was, considering that he barely said a word in the past two weeks.

“What was that, sweetie?” Kuso- Kiara asked.

“I thought your name was Kusotori…” Haruto admitted. Kiara fell over laughing while Calli looked away, covering her burning red face with her hands.

Proposal Research - Tutorial with Carla and Extended Research

Today I had a tutorial with Carla looking at the potential titles I had already come up as I felt a bit unsure what I should pursue with during the time of my blog post with current day. I was mostly stuck between to either cover all of the Surreal Horror Genre and what makes it so effective or the whole Resident Evil franchise. What also made this tutorial a bit tricky was that I was unable to talk a at all during it as I had to type everything out.

Going through it was definitely really informative and helpful as I was also stuck between the choice of either doing a extended essay or a technical report since I was thinking of conducting an experiment if I were to got with either idea by getting some close friends and playing through specific sequences to react too which I would then document down and answer a hypothesis. However in the discussion, we agreed it might be simpler to do an extended essay as it seemed more appropriate with the titles I provided as examples. 

Questions I had ready for the tutorial 

In addition to looking at which title may be the best for the proposal, Carla was kind enough to look for some sources of inspiration for some of the titles to help with my research. These were articles that were found using Google Scholar which brought up many different PDFs and long documents on essentially all of the information that was perfect for my research. My personal favorite out of them all was ‘Sign of a Threat: The Effects of Warning Systems in Survival Horror Games‘ as similar to the last document I checked out in the last blog post, this is a very close vision to how I may want to structure my essay for the proposal although I think I would focus it around not just the psychology and include many of the issues that can come across too. One particular aspect I quite liked from the document was the usage of ‘Alfred Hitchcock’ quote to help illustrate how survival horror games create emotional tension for the player. This being .. “that whenever possible the public must be informed” which given in the context of the document explains to us that if you inform your audience early on that there is eventually danger going to happen than not to tell, this dramatically increases the amount of fear the player has as they panic plan when the scare or fear will happen.

Two really good example come to mind when thinking about this those being the shadow scene in Outlast 2 and when you run out of power in ‘Five Nights at Freddy's 1’. These two scenes match the quote very perfectly as the shadow scene has such great development too it where your being chased by a muscle demon in an abandoned school and you look to see set of double doors. The more you look at the doors, a shadow comes from left of you implying the demon is behind you. In a natural panic of the player, they would run towards the doors to get away from the shadow when suddenly, the doors are locked. With this unfortunate fate, the player has to dread and face their fears behind them only to find, there’s nothing there. Then the doors open like nothing happened. This scene is so beautifully done as not only does it subvert the games expectations of the game for the player, but it also creates a very claustrophobic environment for the player despite looking at the screen.

In addition to it, FANF’s powering off sequence is tantalizing to watch as a result of your mess up, not only do you know you’re about to be jump scared , but Freddy just starters and blinks at you in fascination. Until it cuts to black and the Jump scare happens. The best part about this scene is how long this sequence goes on for as it’s a random sequence every time you fail to keep you power on throughout the night dramatically increasing the amount of panic and worryness form the player when the scary part pops off.

Overall, these are definitely documents I want to go over and study to help with my understanding of my own theme . Even if I don’t get any time to review them before the deadline, these would provide so much use as reading material over the summer and for the start of year 3 for not only info, but for structure too.
