The more I think about it the more I feel shortening the Pro heroes side to the heroes is misleading and disingenuous. Even if it is more intuitive
As myself and many of my mutuals have pointed out, the pros are incredibly hypocritical, corrupt and just plain bad/failing at being heroes. But they are great at the PRO part. The vast majority of them (including the students) feel like they only care about the pro part in practice
The most blatant examples are Endeavor and Bakugou, but they are far from the only ones
If Endeavor was focused on being a hero and not a pro he wouldn't have only cared about getting the number one spot, his focus would actually be on being the best hero he can be. Instead, we have the whole Todofamily shitshow of him buying his wife like livestock, making her pop out kids until he had his perfect quirk baby, neglecting his non-instant perfect quirk kids, and abusing all of them when he isn't neglecting them. He wouldn't be so eager to kill both villains and vigilantes (seen in the Vigilantes series, the nomu attack, and the high-end nomu fight) as well as being more mindful of how much property damage he causes. (I already have so many posts on this bastard, so I'll end this here)
Bakugou's goal in the whole series is to be the number one hero, not a good hero. As I have said with Endeavor many times before, it's not his behaviour that has truly changed, it's people's reactions to them (and it was already shit). He genuinely tried to kill Midoriya for getting into UA in the battle trials, and instead of being rightfully expelled, Midoriya after school, so not in the heat of the moment, tells him part of the One for All secret. He calls the Bakusquad, his supposed friends, demeaning names, same as everyone else. Everyone focuses on how he tells Midoriya to kill himself in the first episode, but later that same day he tells his 'friends' off for suggesting they go to a bar because if he gets caught he can't get into UA. So he had no problem telling someone to kill himself when there wasn't an obvious risk of it affecting him, but a bar where he could get caught suddenly cares. His first proposal for a hero name, and his full official hero name both contain the word Murder. He is violent, at best shouting, every time even the slightest thing doesn't go his way. Aizawa himself states (a guy who constantly praises him) says that the reason he won't join the villains is because he sees the heroes as the winners (chapter 86, and he reaffirms the goal of top hero for me as well)
We see Best Jeanist call outing Endeavor's abuse as airing dirty laundry, Hawks murdering Twice & calling for Toga Himiko's death as well, Gran Torino telling All Might & Deku to get rid of Shigaraki, Burnin outright saying she doesn't care if her boss is an abuser, cause he's good at his JOB. None of the pros who learn Lady Nagant was an assassin for the commission, care. Deku doesn't care when he sees two armed men attacking a woman for being visibly different, and that she had been denied entry from multiple shelters for that same reason, because oh, UA is an exception, so everything's ok, doesn't even help her get to the school, nor does All Might. Both Deku and Tentacole's arguments against villains are basically 'I suffered silently, and now I'm in the #1 Hero school! I'm going to inspire everyone to be nicer, just by being a (generic) hero (who will never rock the boat). So if you can't do that you're worse than your abusers and deserve it!'
I think Uraraka is the only one who is focusing at all at being a good hero, and not a pro, and she doesn't know how to fix any of this.
What the PRO heroes are is a combination of cops and influencers, who have all the corruption and toxicity of both

The epilogue made me reevaluate this panel of Hawks, the framing of Twice's murder, and, in fact, the story's stance on extrajudicial killings as a whole.
For the longest time, I thought the way Hawks was drawn here - pitch black and inducing a certain sense of dread within the reader (kinda like a villain) - was a very unsubtle hint that what Hawks was doing here wasn't right, it wasn't heroic. It was something we readers shouldn't endorse.
But, perhaps this panel was supposed to depict only Twice's view of Hawks - not the story's, not Horikoshi's, only Twice's…
Like many others, I thought the aftermath of Hawks killing Twice would lead to an interesting development of Hawks' character, him struggling with killing such a "good guy", asking himself whether he truly made the right choice, questioning the origin of villains. It would also lead to the hero kids starting to question things: the whole hero system, hero society's handling of villains, the choices made by the adults around them, etc. How could it come to this, a hero killing someone, when heroes are supposed to save people?
But none of the kids were ever shown to spare this issue a thought.
Sometime after the first war, Midoriya - our moral compass in this story - was more concerned with Lady Nagant killing the former president of the HPSC, allying herself with All For One, and having lost her faith in heroes rather than her extrajudicial killings. His biggest takeaway from her story was that things aren't black and white - that's all. No dismay at the HPSC's crimes, no engaging with hero society's dark sides. Nothing.
And now, without ever really reflecting on the decisions he made regarding Twice, without ever showing any doubt in his righteousness, Hawks has become the new president of the HPSC and seems to be living his best life.
What does that say about the story's stance on extrajudicial killings? No character on the heroes' side ever condemns them, not even Deku, our moral compass. Thus, I have to assume that the author himself doesn't condemn them.
It's sad, but sometimes it can't be helped - extrajudicial killings are a necessary evil.
Maybe Horikoshi doesn't really think like this, but the way things are framed tells a different story. (Not to mention the parallels between Deku killing Tomura and Hawks killing Twice.)
#bnha#bnha spoilers#bnha 429#bnha critical#at this point hawks is merely a shell of his former self#he's a very strong contender#for character who got done the dirtiest by the narrative#and regarding lady nagant#i guess the true problem weren't the extrajudicial killings#it was her giving in to despair#instead of quietly enduring the pain like a true hero#the framing is so messed up#it's almost hilarious

Changing society in BNHA
So… I came up with an odd thought about which might be the change in society we're expected to witness in BNHA, what was that Midoriya's fight with Tomura was supposed to show to society so that it would change.
There’s a scene that stick particularly in my mind in BNHA, the one of little Tenko wandering through the streets, mentally begging for someone to help him while people pretend not to see him. Finally an old lady notices him but then decides he looks creepy and tells him the police or a Hero or somebody else will help him as she’ll do better go to her job. Little Tenko keeps on walking then, and people keep on seeing and ignoring him until one person reaches out his hand to him. Sadly for Tenko said person is AFO who helps Tenko solely to turn him into Shigaraki Tomura, symbol of fear.
In my country, if an adult sees a small child of 5 wandering alone, he should feel responsible for the kid and help him. You aren’t allowed to ignore it. The result is I’ve always interpreted that scene as Horikoshi blaming society for not helping a child. If one of those people who saw Tenko, instead than ignoring him, had saved Tenko before AFO, then Tenko would have never turned into Shigaraki Tomura.
There are other instances in which Villains seem to be born by how society, instead than caring for them/helping them out, turned their back on them, which caused them to end up on perceiving society as their enemy and therefore choosing a Villain life.
As a result I was expecting at the end of the story the BNHA society would be changed into one who was more willing to help those in need and not just pass the job to the Heroes.
Even Tomura’s speech talk about how people has just got used to be protected due to the Heroes coddling them…
...the fact that, right from chap 1 as Heroes were fighting people would just stop and stare as if it were a show, and the whole All Might being a pillar so that the weight would rest on him made me think the theme was that society had to turn into a more helpful one instead than just a passive one that watches Heroes saving people.
But then I’ve been wondering if the theme hadn’t somehow shifted along the way… or maybe I just had misunderstood it.
You see… after the first war the story shows us the struggle of Heroes. Some of them, facing all that destruction, think they should change work. Midnight and other Heroes are dead, while other Heroes like Endeavor and the Class A students are hurt. The public attacks Heroes for failing to protect them. Even at Enji’s press conference they aren’t really angry with him for what he did to his family but for allowing Machia’s rampage, for failing to stop the destruction Villains caused. In short for failing as a Hero.
All Might’s statue starts to get vandalized and Uraraka wonders who’ll help Heroes when they need to be protected, before giving a speech in which she assures the public only Heroes will be coated in filth, that they won’t be asked to do the same, but asks them to just help a Hero (Midoriya) rest so he will be able to keep on fighting for the people.
Later, much later, when Midoriya is fighting Tomura, people will still try to help him, to help the Hero fight Tomura by giving Eraser Head shirts and other necessities.
So it can be that THIS IS the change watching Midoriya fight was meant to bring in the society, making it aware they should help their Heroes instead than just watching them.
In a way that’s also what Spinner blames himself for failing to do, he believes he didn’t step in and saved Tomura, his Hero, sooner.
It’s not really a new idea in the story.
When Bakugō was kidnapped Tomura himself, talking with him, asked him why the press was criticizing Heroes who were, after all, humans whose only crime was doing too little, too late. Society expected them to be perfect but humans can screw up here and there, can they?
In truth though, especially after the Stain’s arc, Tomura’s speech doesn’t feel like a “we should support Heroes more” kind of speech, but a Heroes really aren’t doing enough, with Shūichi summarizing how Stain taught them that when Heroes started protecting people for a paycheck they stopped being Heroes… which might seem him scolding them for doing it for their self interest… but if we turn it around it can also mean that since they’re PAID to save people, if they don’t they FAIL at their work and this allows society to complain and ask for a refund.
To go back to the scene of the lady not helping Tenko this would be that the story isn’t scolding the lady for not helping Tenko… but for not helping the Heroes to find Tenko so that they could help him.
While the result is similar (either way Tenko gets help) the final message is different. People aren’t asked anymore to help other people but… let’s call it the system in place. They’re asked to take responsibility in helping the Heroes, to cooperate with them so as to make the Hero society work better.
Midoriya’s fight with Tomura was meant to show people Heroes need them to win and save them, society has no interest in saving Tomura, they needed to see Midoriya win with their help so that they would change and become more supportive of Heroes.
Then Heroes… assuming they’re good Heroes… could have it easier saving people so that more of them could be saved. In short the idea BNHA might be trying to propose is, if common people also were to turn into a bit of a Hero (as they would support Heroes and be Heroes for their Heroes), the Heroes then could prevent more easily things from getting worse which is what Midoriya and Tsukauchi talk about.
Now… I don’t know if this is the theme Horikoshi went for and if this was his intention from the start (honestly to be Tomura’s speech felt like him scolding the Heroes, not society for deciding not to support them) but the real problem I see with this theme, is that it might work in Japan, but not so much in the west.
Japan has a good relation with its police (I’ll take supporting Heroes can be the equivalent of supporting police in the real world), they don’t fear it, they find it reassuring, they’re regarded with great respect and admiration. They aren’t at the level of the Heroes of BNHA but it’s quite a difference with how many countries in the west instead fear police, blame it for its violence and abuse of authority and don’t see it as really reassuring or supportive of people or worthy of respect.
Japanese people don’t discuss when the police arrest someone, if they do it should be because that someone was guilty (and once you’re arrested you’ll generally are judged guilty in Japan) while in the west we fear more the people might have caught the wrong guy for various reasons.
So while in Japan a theme that remembers people of the importance of being supportive with the people in charge of the protection of citizens might work… in the west it might be taken differently. Many western countries are more critical of the government and of the police than in Japan, which is also why many fanfic writers like to paint the Hero Commission as the bad guy in their stories, while Horikoshi, despite saying it did some wrong things, didn’t really handle it as an evil organization.
Society remains unaware of its wrongdoing, the president is murdered off in a quick scene and, after a brief period in which Mera was in charge, Hawks is placed as the new president and, since Hawks is meant to be seen as a good guy, likely this is our narrative clue that the Hero Commission will take a turn for the better, with him even trying to free Lady Nagant and her remaining in jail just because she decided to stay.
It kind of reminds me of how in the past in Japan when a clan rebelled and then lost, the family head would commit seppuku and they would switch to a new family head and the clan would be pardoned… so I guess from a Japanese standpoint this can work just fine while here, if we’ve an organization doing something dirty we worry to make sure we remove EVERYONE who was involved in it, not just the boss… but okay, I guess we’ll see how Horikoshi expects society to change in future chapters so I guess I should just be patient and, for now, this is just food for thoughts as I might be completely off track.

What I'd Change about MHA
firstly, i'd put monoma in 1-a. i'd replace sato b/c i hate his character design and does he even do anything?
i'd make aizawa more of a stoic, scary looking guy but he just wants what's best for these kids. he doesn't lie to them or use ruses but he tends to push more and seems like a hardass to prepare them for the cutthroat life of heroics
i'd flesh out the characters more, their backstories, why they want to be heroes. i'd also build their relationships more. give them time to bond, spend time together outside of school without a disaster happening. filler type stuff
i like most of the plot up until the war arc, so i'd probably keep it, changing small things like stain. i think i'd make stain a former hero, like lady nagant, who saw corruption in his field and decided to handle it in the most extreme way. i would either get rid of stain attacking tensei or have it be a 'wrong place, wrong time' scenario where tensei found stain attempting to kill a different hero and wouldn't leave(similar to midoriya running in to save tenya)
ofa is one of the things about the og that annoys me. firstly, more than 9 users. probably 11-13. if it's supposed to be 2-3 hundred years since quirks, 9 doesn't make sense. especially since the first 3 were all around the same age and most of them died young. i'd also have more diverse users and quirks. i hate fa jin and gearshift, and danger sense and smokescreen don't make sense. blackwhip and float are great quirks. expand on the users' pasts as well. why were they chosen? what did they do with the quirk when they had it? also more izuku/vestige scenes. no random bakugou look alike user
i'd change a lot of the villain's stories. i'd change toga to actually be a victim of the system instead of just a blood-crazed lunatic. she was starved and didn't understand her cravings until she snapped and accidentally killed a classmate. from there, she's treated like a monster and pushed into the league who help her get the blood she needs which calms her down significantly. no wanting to become the people she loves and creepy harrasment of izuku and ochaco. just make her a scared teenage girl with no one else to go
as for shigaraki, when afo gets arrested show a slow change in his thought process, behavior, and lifestyle as he adjusts to life without the man who had been grooming and abusing him his entire life. make him realize afo isn't a helpful sensei but rather manipulating him. have him grow and reject afo and his ideas. have him start forming his own ideas of how he wants to change society
dabi is a tough one. i think i'd make him ostracized from his entire family. he had the quirk but not the body or mind for heroics. enji rejects him, rei can't stand his ambition, natsuo and fuyumi don't have anything in common and so he pushes them away, shoto is the masterpiece. this makes him more sullen and closed off. i'd have him run away instead of nearly dying and being save by afo. when he finds the league, he starts to open up more and develops more of a personality in this new family.
i wouldn't make kurogiri oboro. i think i'd scrap oboro as a whole. kurogiri is still a nomu but he has no ties to any heroes.
i'd have more people die in the war. more important heroes like all might, miruko, edgeshot, jeanist etc. bakugo stays dead, it's a tragedy that even someone as strong as him can't always win. maybe parents, friends, past classmates of the students because this is a war, collateral is going to happen. gran torino also should've died.
izuku: -make izuku's hair slowly turn white after he gets ofa so by the end it is completely white. this can be due to stress, having multiple quirks, getting a quirk when he didn't have one, etc. -all for one is his dad. this can explain why izuku can wield all of the past users' quirks, he's built to have multiple. now, this doesn't make afo a good person suddenly. he's still the man who groomed tenko and killed countless. maybe he just makes kids every now and then to get/make new quirks. it's just a game to him, he doesn't care about izuku or inko but it give izuku more personal stakes. -lean into izuku's analysis and intelligence more. -make monoma part of his friend group and have them bond over quirk analysis. -i think i'd make Mic his tutor. like how aizawa saw shinsou and decided to train him, mic sees izuku and his destructive quirk and decides to do something about it.
#livvytalks#mha#mha critical#anti mha#i have a lot of thoughts about this#i don't think i'd rewrite the whole thing#but it fell off so hard#izuku midoriya#monoma neito#one for all#dad for one#mha dabi#shigaraki tomura#toga himiko

The genius conception of self sacrifice in MHA
From the very first chapter we are told that "Self sacrifice is what makes someone a true hero".
But throughout the entire narrative of MHA, self - sacrifice is painted in a bad light. The entire vigilante Deku arc is about this.
Then why is self sacrifice a symbol of true heroism?
Because the entire story was seen with the eyes of Deku who is influenced by All Might!!
It's such a big point that throughout the story All Might keeps pushing Midoriya to his limit, because he thinks that without his power of OFA or without his self sacrifice, he is not a true hero. This is a very old school concept of true heroism shown in comic books of the late 90s and MHA is heavily focused on the theme of comics.
But then, All Might loses his power. After that, he kept believing for the longest time that his life doesn't serve a purpose. Now that he is not the knight in shining armor, he is not of value anymore but we know that's far from the truth.
As the story goes on, All Might learns to live without his power and also the influence he could still make on people just with him living. A lot of people believed that All Might should have died in Kamino because his arc concluded there. There were great emotional stakes too but he survived.
And we see that the hero system still falls in chaos, yada yada. But what about the backlash? Bakugo.
Think about Bakugo.
He was so damn guilty that All Might lost his power in order to save him. Think about his guilty conscience had All Might died!
.
Another example is Todoroki.
He had a powerful quirk. He should have been a hero and yet his actions were painted in a bad light because he was doing everything to take revenge on his father. In the end, his empathy is what saved the Todoroki family and that made him 'The Todoroki family's hero'.
.
Another example is Eri.
Throughout the arc, we see that her quirk was painted as a curse but Deku changed its meaning and used it as a blessing to save everyone from Overhaul.
Eri also killed her family by mistake and she was living in all of that trauma but would killing her have solved the problem? No.
So they conducted a mission to rescue her and used her power for a greater good.
Just like Toga who is a recent example. She was abused by her family because of her quirk. They called her a deviant and she committed various crimes for survival. But would killing her solve the problem?
People are people and Quirks are Quirks.
Nothing good would have come from Endeavour and Touya dying, think about Todoroki family members they will be leaving behind.
Just one mistake doesn't make someone a villain, Deku said it himself while defending Aoyama. Same for people like Gentle Criminal and Lady Nagant.
Again, NO.
Because self sacrifice is not good.
Killing anyone for punishment is not good.
So, if self sacrifice or a quirk doesn't make someone a true hero, killing villains doesn't make them a true hero, then what does?
Their love, acceptance, understanding, atonement, empathy and courage makes them a true hero.
Ochako, Todoroki, Iida, Deku, Bakugo, All Might, and even people like Kota are all true heroes!!
Mha portrays self-sacrifice, killing villains, powerful quirks make someone a hero but in its essence, it has always been a story about how "True heroes are those who give help that was never asked for!".
MHA is a story about people learning that they matter, even without their quirks.
~Sunshine

Passing Peonies - Post War Touya Todoroki - Part I
When the war ended, Midoriya Izuku had proven one thing: That Villains did not need to be killed to be defeated. That you could make friends from enemies.
Touya Todoroki, formerly known as Dabi, had been one of those taken into the rehabilitation program. After one year of intense physical and psychological therapy, he's got the chance to prove himself. To prove that he can be a part of this world.
Complete fic length: 30.600 words - Masterlist
Warnings: poor mental health and resentment against past actions is mentioned, burn scars etc. as well. There is angst but this is mostly soft Touya coming back to his family...
Part 1: (1,9k)
Questioning his own sanity isn’t something he likes doing but standing in front of the tiny flower shop, Touya Todoroki can’t help but do so.
One year might have passed since the war, a year filled with intense therapy both on his body and mind, but still only a year and not a lifetime.
“Do you want to skip it?” Shouto asks behind him, eyes trailing over the display of flowers outside the shop, the amount of it almost blocking the sidewalk.
Had it been Fuyumi or Natsuo with him today, they’d already marched right inside, the two of them more annoyed with the lack of positive responses than he was.
But it’s Shouto who asked to accompany him today and Shouto like to ask for his opinion on every single thing first, whether it was which seat he preferred to sit in the car - the back seat - or how he liked his morning coffee - black, two pieces of sugar.
-
The flower shop is tiny, crammed into the small space between a coffee shop and a drugstore, with wooden chairs and tables covered in plants right outside the too-small windows.
He imagines the owner to be a little old lady, back arched under years of hard work. She’d throw him out the moment she realizes who he is. Or maybe it’s some uptight dick of a man, who thinks selling flowers is the hip thing to do. Which would end in a similar scenario, just maybe with more obscenities.
He’d been cleared to start work in the rehabilitation program, given a list of employers who offered a part-time job for ex-criminals for a small amount of financial assistance. But even if they offer part-time jobs, he still has to apply for them and pass. So far he’s only collected rejections.
-
A bell chimes as Touya opens the door and he can’t help but snort at the interior.
It feels like stepping into a tiny jungle, barely contained by the four walls of the building.
Cut flowers of all colors, sizes, and kinds are creatively dispersed between plants that grow up the walls or droop from the ceilings.
The smell is intoxicating and he can hear Shouto take a deep breath behind him.
“Hello?” He calls out when he can’t spot the owner. “I’m here for the interview?”
“Oh, of course.” A sweet, almost timid voice, calls out from the back, “Touya Todoroki, was it?”
He can hear the clicking of heels, a plant is pulled back and a smiling face appears.
That’s the first sign. This is his sixth interview this week and none of the others have been smiling at his sight.
The smile does not leave your lips when you step closer and he wonders for a second if you are visually impaired, until you offer him your hand to shake. Telling him your name, your eyes lock onto him and for only a heartbeat, he forgets to breathe.
That’s the second sign.
There is no anger in your eyes, no thinly veiled hatred for what he has done. But there is a kind of recognition in them that he knows well.
He shakes your hand as gently as he can, too aware of how small your hand feels in his.
“I brought my brother with me.” He stumbles over the words, stepping to the side as well as he can in the cramped space.
That’s the third sign. Your eyes widen at the sight of Shouto, and he spots a little shiver that you try to hide as you offer Shouto your hand as well.
Oh, well. You are cute, sure, but if you are into his brother, he won’t stand in the way.
-
Two hours later he steps out of the flower shop with a folder and a brand new job, starting tomorrow.
“Do you want to go for Soba?” Shouta asks next to him, seemingly unaffected by the news but phone already in hand, typing away.
Touya’s sure the family group chat is getting all the important information right now.
He looks down at the folder, his name on the official document.
He’s got a job.
Is this how it feels to be normal? To lead a normal life?
It feels a little weird.
“Sure.” He says instead. “Soba sounds good.”
🌺.
You’re humming a tune when he arrives, smiling when the bell signals his arrival.
“I hope you don’t mind that it’s second-hand.” You tell him, holding out a bundle of green fabric. “But good aprons aren’t cheap and this one’s your size. If you feel uncomfortable with it, I will order a new one.”
“It’s fine.” He slips it on, fighting with the strings in the back.
“Can I help?” You ask and he nods, teeth clamped together against the uncomfortable feeling of being useless.
“I’ll go over everything again. If you remember something, feel free to chip in. I know it’s a lot of stuff to remember, especially when you’ve never worked in this field before, so we’ll go over it every morning until you feel comfortable with it.”
The days pass like this.
You’re here before him, helping him tie that stupid little knot at the back so his apron stays on, leading him through the shop to go over the flowers.
On Friday he can name almost all of them, only mixing up the gerbera and Coneflower Daisy. He helps you carry out the flowers you choose for the display that day and mans the till the rest of the day where you teach him how to tie ribbons and how to cut stems so that they last longer.
The shop doesn’t get many customers, a few old ladies that are too blind or too polite to recognize him, always choosing the cheapest flowers for the bouquets, cooing when you add a surprise flower without charging for it.
A few students pass by who buy single-cut flowers or look at the prizes of the bigger plants and skiddle out awkwardly.
And of course, there are some guys who come in, obviously in the quest of flirting with you, but you’re either too oblivious to get the hints or too polite to act on it. Whatever the case, he throws them menacing looks until they leave.
So far, no one has made a fuss about him being there and he wonders if his new skin grafts are really that good or if people have gotten more polite since he went into therapy.
🌺.
Right now you’re walking up and down the shop, looking over the cut flowers and mumbling to yourself.
He guesses that whatever you’re coming up with at the end of your mumbling session will involve more learning for him so he leaves you to it and enjoys the chance of getting to look at you.
You don’t dress overly cutesy, not like Toga who loved making herself look younger than she was. The white shirt you’re wearing under your own green apron accentuates your curves even more than the outfit you’d worn on Monday. If only Shouto would come by like he had asked him to, even offering to buy him lunch, but his younger brother’s swamped with work.
You turn to look at him, catching him in the act of wondering how you managed to make your ponytail look so fluffy.
“Are you with your family this weekend, Toya-kun?”
“Uh… yes.” Where’s this going?
“That’s great. How many members does your family have? Including you?”
“Uh, five. My parents, my three siblings, and me.”
“Five? That’s perfect.”
“How so?”
“Oh. There’s something about uneven numbers that feels more comfortable to the human eye. There’s something about unevenness and imperfection that’s comforting.”
Something heavy settles in his gut, but not like the negative feelings he knows. This one feels new and yet familiar, like when you’ve finished a bowl of your favorite food.
“What would you have done if we’d been six people?”
“That’s a lecture for another day.” You tell him, beckoning him over to the cut flowers.
“I allow all my employees to make one free bouquet per week. This will be your first. Pick one flower for each of your family members. Don’t think too much about if they’ll match or not, just go with your gut.”
He huffs and looks at the buckets of flowers.
There are white lilies and flowers as red as his father’s hair. There are roses and tulips that are a wild mix of red and white. But wouldn’t that be too easy?
He looks again and his eye catches on a deep purple China Aster. Purple used to be the color of royalty, he remembers, and his mother had always felt regal to him.
“This one for my mother.” He says quietly and you take the flower from him.
Next is a bright yellow Gerbera for his father, just because of the dichotomy of it. The flower had always felt passive-aggressive to him, but also cheerful, like someone trying to overcome past aggression by being extra positive.
A blue silk flower for Fuyumi because blue is her favorite color no matter how much she likes to deny that and lavender for Natsuo because it’s the only medicinal plant he recognizes. Finally, he hands a light pink tulip over, the flower always reminding him of innocence and naivety, something he still connects to his youngest brother.
“You’re missing one flower.” You remind him softly.
“Oh.” He looks down at them in your hands and laughs awkwardly. “I guess I forgot myself.”
But when he takes in all the flowers, none of them speak to him and he feels himself becoming increasingly frustrated.
“Alright. I’ll allow it this time.” You say softly next to him and he turns, a little confused by your words.
“Hold out your hand, Toya-kun.” He does and you hold your own hand above it, not touching him but the space between is so small he can feel your presence.
Something heavy drops into his hand and he pulls it down to reveal a thick green bulb with a stem rapidly growing from its end.
“What’s that?”
“A peony. Sadly they’re not in season right now and this little one doesn’t want to show its face yet. You might have better luck in a day or two.” You hand him the other flowers and point at the greenery to the side.
“Now we need all the side characters to complete the picture.” You pull out different things, like Aspidistra and Bear Grass and some Israeli Ruscus Green, calling them the house they lived in, the rooms that housed them, the beds that carried them.
He’s still a little stunned by you showing your quirk like that when you hand him the greenery and point to the table next to the till.
“Now, make your first Bouquet. You know how to do it but I’ll be there to help if you need me.”
🌺.
“Oh, what a lovely bouquet.” His mother claps a hand to her mouth at the sight of the flowers. “Did you make that yourself?”
“I did, actually.” He feels immensely proud of it and just a little bit awkward about the words that follow, repeating them after you.
“Every flower resembles one of you but you have to guess who’s who.”
Rei studies the bouquet that so obviously lacks white or red and blinks in confusion.
Toya can feel a satisfied smirk growing. You were right. This is kinda fun.

This is the full version of the story!
Ever since you were a child, you had an unwavering longing to be a hero.
While many of your classmates played games and daydreamed about ordinary lives, you immersed yourself in stories of courageous individuals saving the day. Deep within you, you knew you were destined for something greater, something that would make a difference in the world.
To achieve your dream, you dedicated yourself to both your studies and physical training. You scored top grades in class, always pushing the limits of your capabilities. You hit the gym regularly, honing your strength and agility. Every spare moment was spent preparing yourself for the challenges that lay ahead.
However, your mother never shared your enthusiasm for this path you had chosen. She preferred a more conventional, established life for you—one filled with safety and the pursuit of "lady-like" duties. She worried about the dangers that awaited you and hoped that you would settle for a more traditional existence.
You knew very well of the dangers that came with being a hero, but never once did you expect to be put in a situation like this.
“Hey are you okay?”
You had just been fighting a villain alongside Deku. The man had quite the strange quirk, blowing up buildings left and right to create a distraction to escape. It seemed you and Deku would claim the victory of the fight, until everything simultaneously went wrong.
Buildings collided, and rubble fell, some of your suit ripped upon impact and your eyes burned from the tiny rocks falling on your face. But you were now laid on the ground, Deku’s weight crushing on top of you.
As the dust cleared, you covered your mouth and coughed. Waiting for all the noise to die down before you looked to see how fucked you were. Your legs were pushed up, knees on either side of Midoriya. It was then you realized the confined space you were stuck in. He was holding himself above you to avoid crushing you.
As you looked around the area, avoiding direct eye contact with Izuku, you asked, "What happened?"
Izuku's voice carried urgency as he replied, "we’re trapped under some rubble from the explosion.”
You watched as Izuku strained under the weight, his back serving as a barrier between you both and the crushing force of the debris. His muscles flexed with the effort as he attempted to create more space.
He says, “I can’t lift the rock up all the way, so it seems like we’re gonna be stuck like this for a while.”
“Let me help,” you straighten yourself up a little and activate your quirk. As Izuku had said, it was quite heavy, but you used your quirk to lift the rock a little bit and stick it against another. You wouldn’t be able to get the two of you out of this predicament, but it gave enough room to get Izuku off of you.
"Thank you," Izuku said, moving from on top of you. He was still very close though, almost nose to nose with you. "That makes a difference. We'll have to wait for more help to arrive, but at least this eases the pressure."
The area you were stuck in was quite cramped, you’d have to sit with your knees pulled up to your chest if Izuku hadn’t already curled into himself. It was dark, but you could still make out Izuku’s hero costume.
The silence was broken as you mustered the courage to speak, your voice hushed. "How long do you think we'll be stuck here?"
Izuku's minty breath brushed across your face as he chuckled softly. "Hopefully not very long. Someone's bound to notice we're missing eventually. They'll come to our rescue."
You nodded, acknowledging the truth in his words. There was likely a rescue team working tirelessly outside, doing their best to locate and free you both. Yet, a small voice in the back of your mind whispered with worry, wondering what would happen if nobody found you, if help never arrived. The thought of running out of air and perishing in that confined space sent a shiver down your spine.
"Hey," Izuku spoke, his hand gently settling on your shoulder. The touch caused you to jump slightly, breaking the train of distressing thoughts.
You turned to face him, meeting his concerned gaze. His presence brought a sense of comfort, as it always did. His smile, his touch and the warmth in his eyes reassured you, temporarily pushing away the fear that had gripped you moments ago.
"It's going to be alright," Izuku said softly, his voice filled with sincerity. "We're in this together, and help will come. We just have to hold on and stay strong."
You nod, sighing a little as you let your body relax. “What now?”
"For now, we wait," he replied, his voice steady. "We stay calm and conserve our energy. It might take a while, but help will come."
As you fiddled with the torn pocket of your suit, a feeling of frustration washed over you. Fixing it now would add another task to your ever-growing list of things to do.
Reaching into the small pouch of your tool belt, your fingers found the familiar shape of a tap light—a reliable tool you carried for emergencies just like this one. With a small click, you activated the light, hoping it would provide sufficient illumination.
Unfortunately, it seemed the batteries were running low, casting only a dim glow in the darkness. However, your eyes had gradually adjusted to the lack of light during your time in confinement, and the dimness was no longer as hindering as it initially had been.
A sense of awkwardness began to settle in. With limited options for activity, you drummed your fingers on the ground, trying to dispel the unease that crept up within you.
Your gaze wandered, briefly landing on Izuku. In the dim light, you couldn't help but appreciate his features—his earnest eyes, the determined set of his jaw, and the strength exuded by his presence. It wasn't the first time you had admired his handsome appearance, as you had developed feelings for him since the early days of your career in the field.
Thinking back, you remembered the times when Izuku had offered a helping hand, guiding you through your initial steps as a hero. His unwavering support and willingness to lend assistance had left a lasting impression on you, fostering a deep sense of admiration.
“Y/n.”
As Izuku's voice reaches your ears, it pulls you away from your thoughts, prompting you to look over at him expectantly. However, the realization dawns upon you that in the dimness of your surroundings, he likely can't see your face clearly. In response, you emit a noncommittal hum, signaling your attention.
“Are you injured anywhere?” He asks, attention drawn to the torn fabric of your costume.
You shake your head, a small smile forming on your lips. "I'm fine, Izuku," you assure him, attempting to lighten the mood. "Just a few more errands to run once we get out of here."
The attempt at humor brings a hint of levity to the confined space, relieving some of the tension that had settled between you. You glance down at your torn costume, reassuring yourself that it's only the fabric that's damaged, not your physical well-being.
“I’m glad.” He says with a warm smile. “I care about you deeply, you know.”
Izuku's words reverberate through your mind, momentarily causing your brain to pause. The warmth that spreads across your cheeks is undeniable as you scratch the back of your head, trying to find the right words to respond.
"I-I care about you too," you finally manage to say.
His warm smile widens, and you catch a glimpse of the whites of his teeth as he speaks. "You scared me a little when you charged at the villain like that. Please don't do anything reckless like that again. You're very important to me."
A sense of gratitude wells up within you as you lock eyes with Izuku, the dim light casting a gentle glow upon your faces. "I promise," you reply softly, "I'll be more careful. Your well-being is just as important to me, Izuku. We'll look out for each other."
As silence settles once again in the confined space, you become acutely aware of Izuku's unwavering gaze upon you. His eyes, fixed on your form, make you feel small yet captivated, as if he could see right through you. Every time you meet his eye, his smile radiates warmth, further intensifying the heat placed on your cheeks.
The close proximity between you and Izuku heightens the intensity of the moment. You can't help but feel a surge of apprehension as your heart races, fearful that he might hear the quickened rhythm of your pulse.
“Deku-”
“Yes?”
He responds too quickly, as if expecting you to call his name. The abruptness of his reply catches you off guard, causing your intended question to fade away on your tongue, and you feel yourself shiver.
Izuku's gaze softens as he observes your reaction. He reaches out, his hand hovering in the space between you. “Y/n?”
“Sorry,” you stutter out. Fiddling with your fingers as you find the right way to state your question. “I um..” You could feel your confidence slipping with every ‘um’ deciding to void your question and ask an entirely new one.
“I uh, just want to thank you for everything you’ve done for me.”
“Oh.” He says, “it’s no problem, like I said before, you mean alot to me.”
The gravity of his sentiment sinks in, causing your heart to skip a beat. Holy shit, you think to yourself, scolding your brain for briefly entertaining the idea of confessing your feelings in that vulnerable moment.
You silently thank your senses for reeling you back in, knowing that the timing may not be right for such a revelation. However, the question lingers in the back of your mind, the curiosity of what might happen if you were to express your emotions openly and honestly.
You were always one to go after what you wanted. And if Izuku were to deny you, he’d do it in the nicest way possible. With a surge of determination, you decide to seize the moment.Ignoring the insecurities that plagued you earlier, you lean forward, closing the gap between you and Izuku. Your lips gently meet his in a tender kiss.
Izuku's initial surprise causes a soft squeak to escape his lips, his body tensing momentarily. However, as you start to pull away, his hands instinctively cup the back of your head, pulling you back towards him, deepening the kiss.
His lips were warm, soft, like you had always imagined they were. It was like time stood still, as the excitement of his return to your kiss settled in your gut. As the kiss continues, the confined space feels less constricting, as if it expands to accommodate the shared emotions and desires.
Eventually, the need for air becomes apparent, and you break the kiss, gasping for breath. Your eyes meet Izuku's, both of you sharing a mix of surprise, excitement, and perhaps a touch of uncertainty.
The weight of your arms begins to strain from holding yourself up, but before you can adjust, Izuku's hands move with purpose. He pulls you into his lap, his arms encircling you with a sense of protectiveness and longing. Your lips meet again, the intensity of the kiss growing as you surrender to the depth of your connection.
His hands hold you by the waist, keeping you close every time you try to break away for air. He was suffocating you, and you absolutely loved it.
Though you had initiated the kiss, it seemed Izuku was more eager than you. His tongue swipes at the seam of your lips, gaining a small gasp from you. As he pressed his tongue in your mouth, hands squeezing at the small fats of your sides, your hands found its way into his curly green hair.
You reach down, hands feeling up on every curve of his abs, the want for his suit to come off burning within you. There was a zipper in the back of his suit, but as intoxicated by him as you were, you still knew it’d be unwise to fully undress him when anybody could lift this rock and catch you too.
The press would have a field day.
It still doesn’t settle right with you, making you let out a small whine as Izuku breaks away from your lips. “I know baby, I know,” he mutters, before taking a peck at your neck. “You can have all of me when we get out of here okay?”
As he squeezes your hip you press down on him, earring a groan from him as you meet his heavy hard erection. He’s quick to push you back down onto it, working for any friction that he can get.
He’s finally able to peel himself off of you, pushing you down onto the ground as he climbs over you. His chest heaves up and down as he catches his breath. “Are you sure you wanna do this? Here?”
You are also panting, your cleavage exposed by the zipper in the middle of your suit. His breath fans over your skin, sending chills down your body as you feverishly nod your head.
He kisses you again, more hungry than he was before. You could feel his hands creeping into your suit to fondle your breasts. You had never really worn a bra with your costume as it was already a tight fit, and practically had one built in already.
His lips break away from yours before trailing down to your breasts, his mouth accompanying the nipple his hand couldn’t tease. You gasp, the pleasure spiking you to sit up a little, reminding you of the painful concrete beneath you.
Izuku seemed to be rather busy, rotating from boob to boob while also giving your neck slight attention, he seemed to be ignoring the blazing feeling that was building up in your cunt. You wondered how he was even going to reach it. Unlike him, you wore a jumpsuit and your pants wouldn’t slide off easily.
But as fast as you pondered the question, Izuku answered it just as quickly, His hands finding one of the holes in your suit by your thigh, and tearing his way to your pussy.
“Deku!” You squeal. It would be much harder to explain the giant hole exposing your pussy when you were finally rescued, but Izuku didn’t seem to care.
“Izuku.” he corrects. “Just Izuku.”
As quickly as he tore your suit, your panties followed suit. The cold air that smacked your cunt was enough to make you clench around nothing and Izuku chuckles. Lifting one of your legs to give him better access.
You could hear your own wetness as he trailed his finger around your exposed area. You longed for him to touch you deeper, hoping he'd quit the slow adventuring and just dive in and touch you.
Finally, he pauses, his thump grazing over your clit. The roughness of his fingertips was enough to make you gasp. “There!” You squeak. “Please, more.”
His other fingers find home inside you as his thumb remains kissed to your clit. He rubs it while also pushing his other fingers in and out of you. With all the build of tension, you could feel every splash of your wetness, frustration almost reaching its peak.
It’s when Izuku presses his finger down that you shoot up and grab his shoulder, the amount of pleasure from the single poke is enough to make you orgasm. You slowly rest your nerves and lean back to lay back on the ground, but with the way Izuku continues his prodding and poking, you didn’t seem to get a break, your back continuously arching from the sudden spikes of pleasure.
“So sensitive,” he whispers. “Everytime I poke you just gush.”
He was going to drive you insane, constant muttering as he analyzed your every reaction. You needed more, finally falling down onto your back and taking a deep breath. With the abuse to your clit, and the way he hums every time you shutter, you wouldn’t last long like this.
It was a little embarrassing how easily he’d make you cum just by prodding your clit alone. You’ve never been able to achieve that by yourself.
“Izuku,” you cry out weaky. “I can’t- please.”
His eyes flicker up to you, just his eye contact alone makes you squeeze and he chuckles. “You must want me real bad hm?” He asks, “tell me what you want, baby.”
“Touch me.” You utter.
“I am touching you.”
“Fuck!” You curse as he curls his finger slightly. “Please Izuku, you know what I mean.”
You can make out the grin on his face as he continues to tease. “I really don’t. Seems like no matter what I do you just get wetter and wetter, so I need you to be a little more specific.”
You hold yourself up by the elbow, meeting his direct eye. “Fuck me.” You demand.
“As you wish,” he slides his fingers out of you, shamelessly bringing them to his lips and licking your juices off. You could see some of your liquid siding down his finger from the small glare of its glisten.
He pulls off you for a second, pulling his pants down as far he could, you watch as his cock flies free from its containment, red and rock hard, slapping against his chest. It was beautiful.
It made you wish this was happening in different circumstances. You longed to get on your knees and take that beauty in your mouth. To tease him as he had done you earlier.
He almost struggles to line himself up, grunting as he taps your entrance with his tip. “Are you ready for me?”
“God yes.”
Nothing could prepare you for the stretch Izuku’s cock gives you as it slides it. Not only was it long, and thick, it was hot and you could feel everything. You choke on your moan as you gasp at the same time, the wind practically knocked out your lungs.
“Holy- fuck!” He cures, hiding his face in the crook of your neck. “You’re squeezing the shit out of me. Can you relax a little baby? I’m gonna cum too fast if you keep this up.”
You tried to relax, labored breathing as you attempted to regain your composure, but you were just too full. “Too big, I can’t-” you say, squeezing his shoulders as you clenched your eyes shut.
“Okay. I’m gonna move now,” he says cautiously. Slowly pulling out before rolling into you. Both of you respond with a loud noise, the pleasure making you dig your nails into his skin. He didn’t seem to mind, having to clench his fists to keep himself from losing it.
“You okay?” He asks, still testing the waters with slow rolls of his hips.
“I’m fine,” you hiss. “Just move, please.”
He doesn’t need to be told twice, pulling back once again before pressing into you. The intense feeling makes you cry out again, and you wrap your arms around his neck pressing him further into the crook of your neck.
His mouth latches onto your skin as he thrusts again, finding a pace that gradually increased with speed as you both got used to the pleasure. He lowers himself on top of you, resting his weight onto his elbows so he could get closer to your face.
He kisses you, pressing multiple small pecks onto your lip as he continues to fuck you. You appreciated the passion, bringing your hands to crawl into his hair. He continues to fuck you, keeping your bodies close. The base of his cock rubs continuously on your clit, bringing out some delectable moans from you as it stacks along the pleasure inside you.
“I fucking love you,” he moans, his pace starting to get faster. His eyes were closed, mind now entirely focused on pleasuring you. “I love you, I love you, I love you.”
“I-Izuku!” You try to speak but every word is met with a stutter. He’s too much, every thrust, every slide, every rub makes you pause mid sentence to moan. It doesn’t matter as Izuku isn’t listening, stuck in his own delusion of pleasure.
“Mine, all mine.” He mutters. “None else can have this, nobody.”
He sends you another thrust, causing you to repeat his name again and again. With every call of his name, he rewards you with a mind blowing thrust.
Your hands are now spread out on his back, scratching at his hero costume. You knew it wouldn’t budge, the durability stronger than your nails, but with each pounding thrust, you can feel the will to break the suit getting stronger.
“More,” you beg. “Please, more, I need more of you.”
“I’m right here baby,” he sighs. “I’m all yours.”
You moan loudly at his words, hand cupping his face and bringing him in for a sweet kiss. You could feel your climax building, each push and roll of Izuku’s hips stacking up the feeling in your gut.
You weren’t going to last any longer. His cock was still burning hot, its heaviness felt with every harsh thrust. You broke your kiss to bury your face into his shoulder, intoxicating yourself with his smell.
“So close Zu, so close.” You begin to babble, losing your sense of mind. “Please make me cum, I’m gonna cum, god your gonna make me cum.”
“Fuck-” he trails he curse, taking one of his hands to abuse your clit again. “Cum baby, go ahead. Let it go.”
Your tongue would fly out of your mouth if this continued any longer, unable to control the sound of your moans as you feel everything crashing down. Your scream bounced off the walls of the rubble, your throat running dry from the duration of your scream as your orgasm ran through you.
Izuku kisses you, swallowing up the rest of your moan. He hadn’t finished yet, his hips still rolling. It was enough to make you squeeze around his, grunting from the overstimulation.
“Shit, I’m gonna cum.” He mutters. “I’m gonna cum, I’m gonna cum.”
His thrust met his maximum speed as he continued to babble, and then he suddenly stilled. You could feel everything. As he pumps his cum inside of you. Every rope makes you twitch slightly.
He gives you a few extra bonus thrusts, before pulling out of you and catching his limp dick in his hand. You laid still for a while, the uncomfortable feeling of him cum oozing out of you keeping you from moving.
He tucks himself into his pants before doing his best to help your situation, but there wasn’t much. Your jumpsuit was torn alongside your panties, you’d been marked up like crazy and you were leaking cum.
Izuku chuckles, apologizing for his eagerness before he’s able to lift you so lay on top of him. He kisses the top of your head, taking in the silence of your soft breathing.
“I love you.” He says. “I really mean it when I say it.”
“I love you too,” you say, exhausted.

MWRMI Part 6
My Weird Roomate, Midoriya Izuku
Week 3 part 2 / Meet the Gang!
~•🥦•~
Summary: Y/N learns about Midoriya’s past and the gang’s secret tattoos. …?!
Also, why is Kirishima half-naked all of the sudden?!
Warnings: Swear words, hints of suggestiveness (they tell “funny” stories, 2 sentences, really.) a tiny hint of platonic (?) jealousy.
First Part Master List
~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~
“OH MY GOD, THATS RED RIOT THAT’S FUCKING RED RIOT, Midoriya!”
Okay, listen.
Red Riot doesn’t have a fan base; he has a fucking cult.
That guy had the glow up of the century after going through puberty.
Red Riot? More like Red Daddy.
No jokes, people say that quite a lot when they are talking about the hero. He’s so liked for his looks he actually managed to beat Dynamight and Deku on the “best looking bachelor” charts.
Red Riot barely had any presence in the hero world for his first few years; he had no confidence and he really didn’t think he can be a good hero or at least that’s what he’d said in the interviews. Then Dynamight took him under his wings, took him away from his last agency and that’s when the name Red Riot became a phenomenon; he got even more ripped and grew his hair out but still kept it red, just one shade darker; it’s shorter at the front and really long at the back which makes him look like a lion; majestic and frightening when fighting a villain. His close relationship with Dynamight also helped the blonde to get a better reputation, which he definitely needed at the beginning of his career; Dynamight might have been the one who saved the redhead first, but to be honest, they both saved each other from themselves.
Needless to say, the two heroes are constantly shipped by the fandom, and reading Bakugou’s rants on his official social media about it always makes your day better. Once he posted a picture about Red Riot sprawled out on his lap after a night out, drooling like a Rottweiler all over his trousers with the caption “Do you really think I would ever kiss that mouth?”, but people focused on the intimacy of the photo instead of it’s meaning. The blonde got so furious he deleted himself from the internet for two weeks.
Red Riot also admitted that he absolutely lives for Dynamight’s rants, so sometimes he stirs shit up just to get a reaction out of the blonde; he posts domestic pictures of Bakugou making breakfast in nothing but boxers and other shenanigans like that. The picture is usually followed by a selfie of him being beaten up by his best friend for being a menace or a screenshot of him being blocked on every social media when he’s away on a mission (because of course he has a secret stash of domestic pictures hidden in his phone, who wouldn’t?)
Ahh, you can talk about these two for ages, they are the funniest pair, like ever.
Midoriya giggles at your sudden outburst while you try your best to hide behind the sofa out of embarrassment.
“Aww, thank you!” The redhead smirks. “It’s always a pleasure to be adored by a beautiful lady like yourself.”
You don’t have time to really react to his sudden flirting because the air fills with tension for some weird reason; Midoriya stops smiling, black whip caresses your back and wraps around your body protectively. He looks furious and also does Bakugou, but his anger is pointed at you; if looks would kill, you would be dead by now.
“It’s a bit cold, isn’t it, Y/N? You should change into something warm before you catch a cold.” Midoriya smiles, but it’s more frightening than cute this time. Damn, if you would be a villain and he would look at you like that, you’d 100% piss yourself.
“I have no idea what the actual fuck is going on right now but I’m gonna sit down.” A purple haired, tired looking guy sighs and makes his way to the sofa like the time didn’t just freeze for a second. Honestly, you have no idea what’s going on either.
“Let me explain!” Chargebolt claps his hands happily. “Bakugou’s being a a possessive dick over his best friend, and Midoriya is the same with his roommate. Why? Don’t ask me.” He gives you a reassuring smile.
“This is why I’ll be single forever, Y/N. Don’t be like me.” The redhead sighs, also sitting down. Midoriya lets you go while mumbling ‘sorry’ but he doesn’t look sorry at all.
“What do you mean, Eijirou? Is Katsuki’s marvelous presence not enough for you to be happy? Aww, poor boy.” Pinky speaks up, clearly enjoying the drama. She looks even prettier in real life.
“Say another word, you pink bitch, and I’ll mount your stupid horny head on my wall.” Bakugou snaps, his face a lovely shade of red. Chargebolt blurts out a quiet ‘damn’ and hides behind the sofa, right behind the purple dude who just sighs at Kaminari’s shenanigans.
“Aww, is my face is so pretty you want to see it every day? That’s so cute, Bakubro!” Mina coos and that’s when shit hits the fan; you quietly leave the room to change as per Midoriya’s advice (what the fuck was that about? Yeah, you are wearing comfy shorts but so is he.) while Red Riot hardens between his two friends, acting like a shield to stop them from killing each other. After a few minutes, the yelling stops; apparently, their pizza order is more important than an impromptu mass murder.
It takes you a while before you have the guts to go back so you can properly meet Midoriya’s chaotic friends; you still have no idea what made the two friends so mad, but to be fair, Bakugou is known to blow up for no reason at all, so maybe you were just at the wrong place at the wrong time.
“Hey.” Midoriya’s green head pops in through the door. He looks a bit flushed and a little bit guilty. He’s absolutely adorable. “Can I come in?”
“I was just about to go out, but yeah.” You mumble, your voice strained from the stress. Deku closes the door and leans back to it; his face is contorted into a frown but he tries his best to give you a smile.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to do that to you. I had no right to treat you that way.” The greenette is clearly beating himself up for his actions and it brakes your heart.
“It’s fine.”
“No, it’s not.” Midoriya jumps in. “Eijirou is a nice guy, he talks like that to everyone. Bakugou is a possessive asshole over all his friends, especially him. I was so excited for you to meet my closest friends yet I fucked it up.”
Oh no, not the teary eyes. You can’t handle the teary eyes right now.
“Midoriya…” you move closer to the slumped greenette, taking his hand into yours. He looks at you with the cutest lovelorn expression. “Stop looking at me like that. I really want to hug you tight when you do that.”
You really didn’t mean to say that. You really didn’t.
“Then hug me, Y/N.” Midoriya says, a new kind of emotion swirling in his beautiful eyes. Your body moves on its own as you embrace your favorite hero with such passion that Midoriya’s back hits the door with a loud bang from the force of it. You can hear his heart beating loud and fast when your face hits his chest as you squeeze the shit out of the poor guy. The hero’s hand ends up in your hair, slowly massaging your scalp while he takes a deep breath to calm his racing heart. Midoriya lets your hand go and pulls you even closer by the small of your back; your bodies clash with each other completely as Midoriya melts into your touch; his muscles feel amazing under your cheeks. You’ve never felt so content in your life.
Okay, this hug is way too passionate to be called “friendly”. You are about to pass out. He smells so amazing, like pine and sea salt with a hint of spice, masculine and earthy. The world stops for a second, Midoriya’s friends on the other side completely forgotten as the two of you embrace each other, your true feelings showing without you even saying them out loud.
This is when reality really hits you; you don’t just have a crush on this guy; you are absolutely fucking smitten with him already.
Ahh, you are so fucked.
“STOP MAKING OUT, YOU FUCKERS!” Bakugou ruins the moment with his yelling. When you two realize the situation you are in, you jump away from each other with a “sorry”, like two emotionally constipated teenagers.
“Maybe they are just having a fight.” A tired voice mumbles, probably the purple haired guy you don’t know yet.
“With their mouths, yeah.” Pinky giggles mischievously. If your face wasn’t red enough before, now it is.
“I mean, can you blame him? Y/N is cute as hell.” Motherfucking Red Riot comments and that’s when Midoriya opens the door with a flushed face.
“Can we start this all over?” Midoriya yelps. His friends try their best to not comment on their disheveled appearance for the sake of you and nod in unison. “This is Y/N, my FLATMATE. She takes care of the flat when I’m not around.”
“She takes care of more than that by the look of it…” Chargebolt whispers into Jirou’s ears, who slaps the guy on his head to shut him up. Jirou is a great friend. You love her. “You know Kacchan and Jirou already, then you have Kirishima Eijirou, but you also know that, Kaminari Denki, Ashido Mina, Shouto Todoroki who doesn’t speak too much but he’s one of my closest friends and Shinsou Hitoshi who you might remember from the sports festival. He works with Aizawa-sensei as an underground hero so his face isn’t well known but he’s amazing.”
“I still don’t know why am I here today” Shinsou mumbles, clearly hating the fact that he was forced to come over. He doesn’t look like a guy who enjoys being in a large group.
“You are here because you are important to us, and I can’t believe I need to have this conversation with you after all these years.” Kaminari sighs, looking at the purple haired hero with disappointment in his eyes. Shinsou looks back at him with a guilty expression, showing the yellow haired man with his shoulder in a silent sorry.
Wow, you ship them. So much.
Damn, you really need to stop reading gay fanfictions when Midoriya is not home.
“Now that we all said hi, it’s time to embarrass Midoriya!” Chargebolt speaks up energetically. “Which story should we start with?”
“Guys, please!” Midoriya pulls you to the sofa while hiding his face with his other hand in embarrassment. You sit down next to each other while the group fights over which story should they tell.
“His first almost-kiss!”
“What about the time when Katsuki saw him doing nasty things in his room?”
“That’s not an embarrassing story, I literally thought he’s not into that shit until that moment. I was proud of him.”
“KACCHAN!” Midoriya hides his face in your neck in embarrassment and you try your best to not explode. Jirou looks at you with pity in her eyes.
“What about his secret tattoo?” Kirishima chimes in, and you perk up; you really like tattoos and you always wanted one. “Ahh, she likes that! So it happened on Katsuki’s 21st birthday…”
“Oh my god…” Deku mumbles, still hiding in your neck. “You might not like me that much after tonight, Y/N” he sighs, making your whole body tingle with his hot breath caressing your sensitive skin.
“I’m a loyal fan.” You deadpan. It’s really hard to concentrate on the story right now to be honest.
“So we were really drunk when Tetsutetsu and his gang came over and challenged us to a fight. The loser gang had to get a tattoo. The fuckers knew we are too drunk to realize they are all sober so they beat us to pulp. We woke up the next day with new tattoos. On our… bottoms.” Kirishima looks down with a flushed face. “I have a rock, you wanna see?” Kirishima excitedly jumps up, ready to show you his sick tattoo, but Bakugou is having non of it.
“Eijirou, if you pull your pants down in front of everyone I’ll absolutely kick you out of my house.” He whispers threateningly, his hands ready to block the view. Kirishima sits down with a sad puppy look.
“It’s not that far down!” The redhead whines, but gives up anyway. “Please, don’t kick me out, I fucking love the sauna and I also own the half of the flat.”
So Red Riot and Dynamight bought a flat together. Interesting.
Would it be weird to write a fanfiction about that, now that you know them in person? Probably.
The life of a hero fangirl is really hard sometimes.
“I have a Pikachu!” Kaminari chimes in proudly.
“I have a Hypno. Thanks for that, Denki…” Shinsou mumbles, clearly hating his teen self for being so stupid.
“I wanted us to match!”
“You have no reason to moan, Hitoshi, I have a fucking pinky tattooed on my bum.” Mina admits shamefully. The whole team bursts out laughing at the old memory.
“I have a picture of soba noodles. That’s my favorite food.” Todoroki declares with a straight face, like it’s a pretty normal thing to have your favorite food tattooed on your bottom.
“I have headphones! Like the ones I use when I fight the bad guys!”
“Mine was a small explosion but it was too boring so I made it into a massive one.” Bakugou pulls his shirt up, showing off a massive tattoo on his side. Wow, it’s really hot in here. Like, really really hot. Damn. You can’t believe no one ever realized that Dynamight has so many tattoos hidden under his shirt. The other side of him is also full of ink, but you can’t see enough of it to be able to decipher what it is exactly.
“Why can you show yours but I can’t show mine? It’s not fair!” Kirishima grumbles. “You know what, you can’t tell me what to do.” Kirishima slowly unbuttons his shirt and shows you a massive black and red dragon on his chest. So this is why the hero changed his costume into something less revealing. He’s hiding a fucking beast under it.
You might die tonight.
There is no way your heart can take more of this shit.
Where is the water? You are kind of thirsty. Respectfully… thirsty. For water.
Yeah.
“Can you guys stop stripping? I have a broccoli by the way. Not like anyone cares at this point.” Midoriya pouts and it’s the sweetest thing you’ve ever seen.
“Midoriya, that’s so fucking cute!” You yell, the two stripping heroes long forgotten. “Colored or black and white?”
Midoriya perks up now that your attention is back on him, a shy smile decorating his face.
“Colored. It matches my hair. I know most of us are ashamed of these tattoos but I really like it. It reminds me of my friends. It reminds me that I’m not alone anymore.” Midoriya smiles into the distance. “It reminds me that whatever happens, there will be someone there to catch me when I fall. We are a family.”
“That was so manly, goddamn it!” Kirishima cries, tears falling down his cheeks.
“What the fuck, shitty Deku, this was supposed to be fun, now I want to throw myself off a cliff!” Katsuki rolls his eyes aggressively but he can’t hide the fond smile when he looks at his crying flatmate.
“No worries buddy, Midoriya will be there to catch you!” Mina giggles, clearly having the time of her life as she looks at the three boys.
“Now you ruined it.” Midoriya mumbles, unimpressed. You really tried not to laugh, but seeing all these people taking the piss out of each other made you laugh out loud. You’ll never forget tonight, that’s for sure. These people are truly amazing.
After a few more minutes of banter the pizza arrives; Midoriya puts in a DVD with some old interviews and they all laugh at their awkward faces on the screen. The whole situation is so intimate, everyone is so close to the other, limbs and arms intertwined with each other while fond smiles are being exchanged when someone new appears on the screen. The guys tell you about Ingenium’s matching bum tattoo - he has a pair of glasses -, and about the time Jirou fell on the stage; you hear a bunch of stories the public have never heard about while Midoriya snuggles closer and closer as the night turns into an early morning… your heart swells from the happiness to be able to be a part of something so private without feeling like an intruder. The group welcomes you with open arms, letting you in without a question.
“Can I tell the story about Katsuki almost exploding his dick of when he tried to…” Denki mumbles half asleep, but Katsuki gives him a massive slap before he can finish the sentence.
“Midoriya had a girlfriend in high school for a few weeks but he was so wind up about their first kiss he threw up right in front of the poor girl. We haven’t seen her since. She changed schools.” Another half asleep mumble, this time from Kirishima, who somehow ended up sprawled out on everyone’s laps on the sofa.
“I think Denki’s bisexual awakening is a good story to tell. It was the first time I actually laughed in front of everyone. He’s helpless.” Todoroki chimes in, probably the only one still fully awake from the team.
“Says the guy who wanted to call an ambulance on a girl who blushed and didn’t even realize she was trying to ask him out.”
You have no idea who’s talking anymore. It’s almost 5 AM and Midoriya is so warm next to you, you can’t help but hide your face in his arms. You can feel Midoriya’s hands stroking your hair, the affectionate caress slowly lulling you to sleep.
“I’ll put Y/N to bed, you guys get comfortable. You know where to find the spare bedding, yeah?” Midoriya takes you in his arms, moving you towards your bedroom. The group mumbles incoherently, clearly ready to sleep as the hero puts you down on the soft sheets, tugging you in like a child. Something soft touches your forehead but you are too sleepy to react; it feels nice and warm like the sun on a breezy afternoon.
“Sleep tight, sweet pea. See you tomorrow.”Someone whispers. The nickname makes you smile subconsciously. “I don’t want to leave, to be honest. I always want to be around you, I wonder why.” You can still hear the mumbles but you can’t understand the words anymore; it’s too late and you are too tired to keep listening.
You dream about green curls and soft touches, about the stars and the moon, so close yet so far away, you dream about touching the sky, about reaching out for the brightest star only to fall back down on Earth, but you stand up and try again, until your hand reaches the one with the scars, until your fingers intertwine and you never let go again.
~•🥦•~
“Maybe it’s the cold of the night. Such a drastic change compared to the warmth of the day… I’ve never felt cold before but I probably didn’t even know how the warmth felt like on my skin until I’ve met you. Now that I know, I’m craving it. So much. You are like the sun, Y/N. Please, never change; and stay by my side for a bit longer, until I’m strong enough to let you go. I hope you’re sleeping. It will be really awkward if you’re not.” Midoriya giggles and leaves the room, closing the door behind him.
Midoriya Izuku really needs to get a grip, he thinks as he makes his way to his own bedroom, already hating the cold feeling of his sheets.
… Next Chapter!

Potato ramble:
Damn, that ending. DAMN.
Fun fact, that bit wasn’t planned. At all. It just happened. The hug wasn’t planned either. It’s all Midoriya’s fault.
- I also feel like I owe you guys an explanation for the iffy jealousy scene: in Midoriya’s case it was 50% jealousy and 50% protectiveness. He doesn’t really understand his own feelings yet and he couldn’t really handle that situation very well. He’ll get much better at it in the future. Midoriya was never a possessive person but Y/N told him he can be a bit selfish sometimes and he listened. He’s growing as a person it’s just really hard to tell. He’s such a weirdo I love him 🥦
- Ao3 is down and I want to cry.
Likes, reblogs and comments are appreciated as always 🥦💚

"I'll do everything I can to make sure I'm the only one they blame."
I genuinely unsure about what this line is supposed to mean. Is this about the child abuse?
The writers really like to paint the public as bumbling fools who should listen to their betters. The only one who I reasonably understand sharing the blame is Rei, and she was bought & r*ped lives in a mental hospital so how would that affect her.
As a side note, Fuyumi losing her job is annoying with how vague the reason is. Similarly to Lady Nagant's "... to what Izuku Midoriya showed us all that day..." Like, it's the epilogue. No need to be vague if it's not the point, and it's clearly not the point.
This is the scene your talking about and I think it can be interpreted into two different ways.
Enji is talking about the public and that he is trying to make it so that the public only ever blames him for what happend
Enji is talking about the abuse he did to his family and wants only himself to be blamed for the stuff that has happend to the rest of the todorokis
If this is about the child abuse I do think that both rei and enji are to blame about things however REI SHOULD BARELY BE BLAMED FOR ANYTHING AT ALL!! Rei was also a victim in that house and due to the abuse that enji put her through (physical abuse, marital 🍇 and more) she was mentally unstable and couldn't properly take care of her kids.
Rei knew that she was going to snap which is why she was on the phone trying to reach out for help so that she doesn't injure anyone. She ended up injuring shoto but NOT BY POURING HOT WATER BUT BY TRYING TO TREAT THE BURN WITH ICE!!! shotos burn is on his left side which is the heat resistant side and by that age he was already training so he must of built a strong resistance to heat but Rei panicked and applied ice which caused an ice burn.
I personally would of enjoyed a Rei redemption arc a lot more than enjis especially because she actually cares for her kids and her actions are complex and could easily be humanised like what she did to shoto was her snapping and her putting on the ice was out of panic that she hurt her son just to hurt him more. From the begining rei didn't actually expect much from shoto and was okay if her kids cut her off because to her it made sense (enji develops this idea later on) and there are lot more characteristics that Rei has that prop her up for a redemption that enji develops later on.
I hate how MHA presents the public because everytime the public is against the status quo they're just depicted as fools and everytime they are with the status quo they're praised. The public also seem to only care a lot more for themselves as during the Conference after the first war they were more worried about hawks backg then they were about hawks killing a villain!!!! May I add that hawks only apologised about his father and NOT ABOUT KILLING TWICE!!
Also about your last point it's true horikoshi literally set up a whole bloody epilogue mini arc yet he can't expand on said ideas and wrap them up properly which is frustrating. What did Izuku really show in the last arc for there to be change in society because reading the story there ain't anything solid like that??!?!? Izuku's character (even though it should of) never gets to go through a proper arc where he realises his self worth and ends up helping dismantle the system. Izuku never grows to challenge the system either which is something he should of!!! You would except a character who has been incredibly hurt by the system to do something but hori reduces him to the role of the perfect victim.
Fuyumi probably lost her job to the reputation that her family has which incredibly damaged her own reputation and all which is such a shame to be honest

chand ko chakor dekhe, tujkho naseebo wala (the bird looks at the moon, a lucky one looks at you) | hawks x reader | chapter 6
“You’ve died twice? From clocks? “I know you’re not blind to the rocks and debris flying literally everywhere! The world would be better off without you in it!” you scream at the villain. The machine is even louder as it breaks and jams into the ground. “Flying building pieces or something, I don’t know—one hit me yesterday. The first day I got knocked into a wall, and then I woke up hugging my body pillow. Same thing the next day. And the next, and the next. Did my number three pro hero partner save me? No, he let me get stuck in a fucking time loop!” Or, you’ll do a lot of things with infinite time on your hands, but falling in love with Keigo Takami isn’t one of them.
a/n: yesssss update's out have a fun time reading!
warnings: suicide attempts (with the understanding that she will reset), hawks pins reader to a building, rudeness, icky romantic stuff 🤮
1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5
“Whoa.” Your hands come up in front of your chest as the kid’s arm crackles—crackles?—with lightning. “Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa hang on, I don’t fight children!”
You don’t think the nerd hears you, because he’s jumping forward with wide, fearful, despaired eyes. “Detroit”—of course he’s an All Might copycat, USA lover, star spangled stripes, would still smash their number one hero, though more like she’d smash you because she’s super strong—”SMAAASH!”
Fuck your life. Truly.
—————————————————
You go back to the beach the next today. Not to kill All Might again, even if you did cheat and break the vow you’d made to yourself the first day you officially started training to be a hero (haha your soul is broken you’re going to hell except you’re not because you’re stuck in a time loop and ohmygosh maybe this is hell maybe when you got hit by the rock that first day you died what the shiiiiit). No no, you won’t kill him again, because you’re just far more interested in who this tiny little green loser is and just how he KOed you with one punch.
That’s not, like, easy. You killed the top ten heroes minus the dumb bird! By right of passage, that makes you the number one! Or at least the number two if Hawks is de facto one even though he totally isn’t. He admitted MULTIPLE times that he would have just let you kill him. Who needs a flimsy number one hero like that?
Speaking of flimsy number one heroes.
You’re probably losing your mind more than you thought. Why are you looking at a chibi version of All Might?
Goddamn are heroes stupid! You’re perched up just barely out of view and neither the LITERAL NUMBER ONE or his protege have noticed you as they eat and yap about CLASSES of all things!
Okay, so when you killed All Might, he wasn’t exactly himself because he hasn’t had his Snickers bar yet or whatever. Which means you didn’t really kill the number one, and so the right of passage still leaves you at number two (yeah yeah, de facto Hawks number two, then you).
So if Small Might (good one! that’s original!) can’t fight you, that would mean the real foe you’d need to defeat is YOUNG MIDRORIYA! Only problem is that YOUNG MIDORIYA! is a child and y’know, you’re not quite that comfortable in your amorality yet. Already you feel queasy every time you think about the way you killed LightMight.
Still, one doesn’t just go around California Cabana-ing every single person they see, so when YOUNG MIDORIYA! starts walking back to whichever hovel he crawled out of, you follow him until you see someone trip in front of him, large drink in their hands.
What would have soaked his shirt now completely coats his face with just a liiiiitle bit of wind.
Respect your elders, kid. You’ll never be the next Mini Might with that attitude. Although, that isn’t any reason to apologize that profusely to the lady that spilled the drink. No, there’s no need to buy her a new drink either, your face got soaked, not her’s, she was the one not looking where she was going. OFFERING AN AUTOGRAPH FROM ERASERHEAD? HUH? DID SHE LOSE HER DRINK OR DID SHE LOSE HER WHOLE GODDAMN FAMILY?
Oh, she doesn’t even know who Eraserhead is. Ha. That’s right, walk home with your sorry little green head all wet. That’ll teach you not to bribe civilians.
—————————————————
The next day, you wake up, ignore Hawks’ text first thing in the morning, open your window and jump out. Then you wake up in your bed again, and repeat. Repeat. Repeat. It’s entertaining for all of six minutes before the nothingness and despair becomes passionless.
What’s left? What more is there?
Well, it was kinda fun taking Ryukyu up to space (no it wasn’t?). You could try that again. Opening the window, you go up this time, instead of down.
Today, you’ll try to reach the sun.
First, you’re shot by someone who must think you were a stray bird. First, rude. Second, still illegal. Rot in jail. You love being a pro hero, the police do whatever you say with overt rudeness but begrudging submission.
Second, you look into the sun too long and uh. Die. That one’s embarrassing.
Third, claws dig into your hips and yank you down.
“Hey!” You scratch at the hands assisting gravity in bringing you closer to the ground. “What the hell, what are you doing? You never get here this early!”
“What are you doing? Where are you even going?”
“I will kick you in the balls if you don’t let me go, you dumb shit!”
“You’re so nice,” Hawks drawls, and his legs wrap around yours too, one arm around your front to pin your arms to the side. Now it’s only his wings keeping you afloat, his air giving you flight. It infuriates you, appealing muscles aside. “Someone just took a picture of us, by the way. Have fun explaining that one.”
You growl as fiercely as humanly possible, wriggling in his grasp. “Stupid stupid stupid bird impedes justice, gets murdered for it.”
“Too wordy for a hashtag.”
“Okay, how’s about—” It makes your chest hurt when you do it, but you suck in wind towards you using your own breath, and shoot it down to throw his arms away from you. “Hashtag I Did Hawks’ Dad!”
His wings flap as he falls, but he catches himself in no time. You’re propelling back up already, clouds not even within touching distance yet. Not that you wanna touch them. They’re really cold. Might as well touch Endeavor’s heart while you’re at it.
“For your information.” His nails graze your nape this time, and he grips the back of your uniform. With a grunt, he pulls you back again, too strong for those weak birdy bones. You shoot downwards, gasping. “That would make you a criminal fucker.”
You’re sideways, hair twisting in strange ways as you glare up at him. His wings expand impressively, blocking the sun and giving you a good look at a world of crimson gold.
“Sorry about your dirtbag father. Can you get out of the fucking way?”
Hawks holds up a finger with a condescending look, pointing to his right, then his left. “See these? These are legitimate directions to fly in. Up is nothing. Up doesn’t have anything for you.”
“You’re a fake friend,” you spit, jetting up with a fist raised.
He blocks, immediately raising his leg to kick you, but you saw that move coming because sometimes you watch his fight compilations for entertainment (and his compilations in real life too, duh). His foot connects with your arm, and the sunlight gleams in his visor. “Is that so? Elaborate for me.”
“Do you know how fucking bored I am? Do you have any idea how much I hate every single fucking person on this planet?”
You land a square hit on his chest; the victory is short lived. Feathers sneak into your sleeves and pull you down, ignoring your kicking and screaming.
“Who could you possibly hate?” he sings.
“You, for starters, winged piece of shit! And Endeavor, yeah, that’s right, dickrider. Cry about it. I hate All Might too—did you know he’s a fraud? And his stupid ass sidekick, or ex boyfriend, or whatever, I paid him a visit and every time he’s about to tell me my future I end up dying, because life hates me just as much as I hate life! I’m not even allowed to know how I go out! Ryuku and Best Jeanist think they can appeal to my better nature, well, I DON’T HAVE ONE! Oh, I hope you get to marry someone someday, Hawks, and I hope they cheat on you and take all your money.”
It might look like you’re flailing, but you’re not. You’re just trying to air out your own clothes to get the feathers out. The man who had taken a picture of you is not full on recording the fight you and Hawks are having.
You flash him two matching middle fingers.
“Stop it,” Hawks snarls, apparently fed up now (one word against Endeavor and Fanboy Hawks comes out to play). “That shit’ll go viral, you know it will.”
“Sorry to ruin your perfect image, golden boy.” You finally rip the last feather out of your sleeve, biting it in half and spitting it out just to spite him. “Kiss my ass—fuck!”
You’re pinned. Fully against the building. The feathers aren’t under your clothes, they don’t need to be. They connect with each other to form a link that pins your ankles and wrists individually and before you can suck in any air a few more stuff into your mouth as a makeshift gag. Upside down. “I’m not worried about my image, songbird. Your popularity rating is at an all time low lately.”
Because you don’t pose for posers the way he does. And also maybe how not child friendly you are in interviews. Maaaybe because most of the other heroes don’t even like you enough to team up with you.
Not! That! It! Matters!
Hawks can read you well enough from your eyes. He maneuvers his body upside down to look at you face up, and looks into your gaze with a slight quirk of his lips. “What’s the matter, Nightingale? You hate hero society all of a sudden?”
NO SHIT.
“You wanna skip patrol today?”
NO.
“Why not?”
WE’LL BE CALLED TO FIGHT CLOCKINTHEHOLE ANYWAY AND IF WE DON’T GET THERE IN TIME PEOPLE GET INJURED AND YOU GET ALL SAD FOR THE REST OF THE DAY.
“Sorry, gonna need your mouth to transcribe that one.” The gag is lifted and before you can scream he covers your mouth with his hand, “Hey,” he coos, looking like his hair is flying up, “I’m serious. We can skip patrol, or I can do it on my own. I’ll cover for you, no problem.”
“Dude,” you choke, and the wetness running up your temple makes you realize you’re crying, “I wanna die.”
His face changes immediately, dropping every bit of his persona in an instant. The feathers loosen and release you, dropping you, and he catches you bridal style before you can turn on Aerial.
“Alright, hang on.” His face is pained as he nudges your window open, carrying you in. “Hang on.”
The blood rushes back to your head, and the tears fall normally. He places you against your headboard, right next to the body pillow you always wake up next to. The sight of it makes you cry harder.
“Hey, hey.” Just like he did every time you tried to manipulate fighting tactics out of him to use against Endeavor, Hawks’ thumbs come up to brush your tears away. He sits at the edge of your bed, as though he’s visiting you in the hospital. “Hey, pretty girl, c’mon. Talk to me. Tell me everything. Let me help you.”
Your hands tangle in your own hair and your eyes shut, looking every bit the crazy lady you’ve become. “I want to fly into the sun. Please, just let me do that.”
“I can’t,” he pleads, taking his visor off and setting it aside. His jacket goes next, and he drapes it over you like the two of you aren’t indoors. And not on a date. He’s watched one too many cheesy romcoms. His favorite is John Tucker Must Die. You think that’s because he has mommy issues.
“I can’t,” he repeats, nudging himself next to you and moving your hands from your hair to your lap. His own hands go up to pat your hair down, and brush your shoulders, touch as light as a feather.
He’s grooming you. Dumb bird.
A painful sob escapes you, and you fall into him as he rubs your arms, your back, your hair. His bodysuit quickly becomes wet with your tears, but he doesn’t seem to mind, lips on your temple and arms tight around you. He even leans down and kisses a tear straight off your cheek.
“I’ve been living the same day again and again. I’ve lost count of the days. I killed people and I manipulated you and you keep helping me but nothing works. Everyday I have to go through this. Everyday the universe finds a way to kill me. I haven’t—” Your own wail cuts you off, and he squeezes you closer. “I haven’t seen nighttime in forever! I’ll forget what nighttime looks like soon, I’m so sick of the sun!”
He doesn’t say anything. Sometimes he believes you straight away, sometimes he doesn’t, but either way he eventually takes it in stride. He cheers you up. He takes you places or he talks and talks and talks until you’re laughing, laughing so hard you almost don’t feel the pain when you die.
His lips burn on your skin. He keeps them on your temple, warming you far more than his jacket does.
“I hate telling you this every time,” you sniff, “I wish there was a way I could fast forward it.”
Still, he doesn’t talk. He moves instead, holding you to his heart like you’re.
Gold.
When Hawks does speak, his voice is thicker than normal, like he’s holding back something. Tears of his own, or a confession. Too many times he’s seen you vulnerable now, even if he doesn’t remember, and you don’t think you’ll ever see him in such a state.
“If you wanna fly into the sun, I won’t stop you.”
You look at him. No hint of a lie in those golden eyes. Pulling away from the safety you’d embraced for a second, you sit back and swallow. “Yeah? No lie?”
“No lie. You’ll come back, right? The day will reset. So it’s okay.”
“Yeah.” Unless today is finally the last day. But you doubt it. You’ll know when it is. If it ever comes.
“Then you can go. Or…”
A few minutes ago, you’d have jumped out the window the second he stopped holding you back. “Or?”
“Or.” His tongue pokes into the side of his cheek. Thinking face. One of the few people who doesn’t have a dumb thinking face. This one actually looks like he’s thinking. “You let me take you somewhere.”
“Where?”
“Surprise,” he says softly, “you’ll like it. Promise.”
And you figure you can always fly into the sun tomorrow. The giant ass star isn’t going anywhere.
—————————————————
He’s had a hand over your eyes for a couple minutes now, guiding you inside…somewhere. Every few seconds he makes a shushing sound, to who you assume are bystanders wondering why the rude hero who trended number one on Twitter this morning (#FrightingaleBreakdown) is wandering around.
“Are you taking me to a strip club?” you ask suddenly. “I really don’t wanna go to a strip club right now.”
“No, but that’s a good idea. Tell me that one later. Or, tomorrow, or whatever. Whenever you want.”
Yeah. Okay.
A door closes, and that’s when he finally moves his hand. You’d assumed you would have to shield your eyes from some ceiling light. But instead, you’re met by even more darkness.
Well. Not total darkness.
There’s a hint of white. A sliver of silver. And it’s everywhere.
You honesttoGod gasp, staggering back as you witness the night sky. The stars twinkle like shiny teeth (that sparkle, adding beauty to my faaaace, my shiny teeth that glisten, just like a christmas tree, you know they’d walk a mile, just to see me smile (woo!) my shiny teeth and me). Your hands tremble as they close over your mouth, and you don’t realize that you’re tearing up until Hawks’ fingers are under your eyes again, catching the tears before they can fall.
“I know a planetarium isn’t the same as the actual night.” He glows like this, how does one do that? What’s his skincare routine? “But…it’s better than nothing, and I’ll bring you here whenever you want. You say the word to me and we’re here. Or anywhere else. If you can’t get out of the loop, then you should take advantage of it. Have fun. Do things you’ve never had time to do before. I’ll help you.”
For all this trouble, you should stare up at the faux sky, not at him.
“And um, to speed up the process.” His cheeks dust pink, and he whispers, “Keigo.”
That’s when you find your voice. “What?”
“Keigo. My name. I’ve never told anyone, so, you know. I’ll believe you faster.” His face is red now, all the way up to the tips of his prickly ears.
“Kei-go.” You test it out on your tongue, eyes on him. “Well, what if I’m just messing with you and I’m not actually reliving today?”
He exhales in a way that tells you the thought didn’t even cross his mind. As if you’re sooo goodhearted you would never do such a thing. But you absolutely would.
“It’d be worth it.” Hawks—Keigo—shrugs. “To hear you say my name.”
Oh.
You step forward, you think, to kiss him, but before you get the chance the ground shakes, and then crumbles directly under your feet. You don’t even hear his cry of surprise. Is this an earthquake? No, quicksand? But that makes no sense—except the curse doesn’t make any sense at all, so yeah. Sure. You’ll go out like that.
You wake up with the taste of sand and good sense never to try and kiss your partner again.
—————————————————
“You’re early!” Hawks greets you at patrol.
“Yeah, well.” You sigh, blowing into the cup of hot tea in your hand. “We don’t all take our time like you, Keigo.”

A little rant over the why I consider that Todoroki Shouto is autistic
Disclaimer: As always, this is just one of my many theories. Please don’t attack me for this, if you don’t like it, scroll and continue with your life.
This is the third mha character that I have analysed, and I also think he is the least likely to be autistic (strangely enough because he is also the one more often read as autistic). This is because a lot of his actions can also be read as trauma responses rather than autistic traits, however, this is your friendly reminder that autistic people can (and are actually statistically more likely) to have PTSD. For Shouto, I think it is both autism and C-PTSD.
This post HAS manga spoilers!
—----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Insistence on sameness, and difficulty dealing with change
Even though this is not explicitly said anywhere (as far as I know), it’s something that you can definitely notice if you look very closely.
Todoroki remodelled his entire dorm in a day for it to be the same as it was in his home for comfort. He even went to the extent of changing the floors. That shows that he has difficulty dealing with transitions (moving from home, to the dorms).
He is also a very stubborn person, shown in his insistence to only use his ice side for so long. And even though we know this is connected to his trauma towards fire, even after he starts overcoming that, he still heavily relies on his ice, and has a tendency (almost a routine) to always using it first.
Strong sense of justice
Todoroki has an incredible sense of justice, and not in the ´follow every rule’ way like Iida. Todoroki has never hesitated to break the rules to stand up for what he thinks is right. He literally considered torture in USJ arc, if it meant gaining information that could potentially safe lives. In the Kamino Ward arc, he decided to break the rules and go and save Bakugou because he knew that’s what was right (even if it was illegal). He followed Bakugou and Izuku even though it was dangerous and he technically shouldn’t have, but he still went and fought alongside them. In the ‘World Heroes’ Mission’ movie he didn’t hesitate to help Izuku and tell him how to escape even though he was literally accused of mass murder. I think there are many examples of this in general.
It also shows that he is a very loyal person, which isn’t an autistic trait (I think), just a very cool thing about him.
Recognizes patterns easier than his peers
I have two specific examples for this.
Calling himself a hand crusher. He definitely recognized a pattern there. He fought with Midoriya -> He injured his hand. He fought with Iida -> Iida injured his hand. Therefore Hand injuries are caused by him (under this logic).
He was quick to figure out why the villains were at the USJ, and that they definitely had a solid plan. (In a similar way, Tsuyu did the same, who I also headcanon as autistic, but that’s off topic).
Speaking differences/struggles
Todoroki has what can be described as a ‘flat tone’. There are only some very specific scenes where he raises his voice, but in general, his voice tone never really changes. Even when delivering jokes, or sarcastic comments, his tone is always the same.
Struggles with social cues and reading other people tones
I believe this is one of his most recognized traits. He has a lot of difficulty understanding sarcasm and exaggeration when it comes from others, even being told by others that he is ‘too clueless’ (Mount Lady, and Min*ta). He takes things very literally, a good example of this being when Mt Lady told him that girls would die for his smile, and he took it very seriously, to the point where not even under Mr. Smileys quirk he didn't actually smile.
He also struggles ‘reading the room’ and social cues, having in mind the way that he is convinced that he is friends with Bakugou. (He is. Bakugou is just in denial/hj. They definitely care for each other, and they ARE friends. But Todoroki considered him a friend way before Bakugou even considered it).
Says things directly
Todoroki says things with 0 to no hesitation. He is not afraid at all to call people out. He says things like they are, he doesn't sugar code anything. There are many examples of this, like him fighting with the chief of the police, every possible interaction he has had with Endeavor, him saying that he didn’t even notice Hagakure was with him in the USJ, him telling Midoriya that he is objectively better than him and others. Trauma dumping on Midoriya during the sports festival. This might come out as rude sometimes, but he definitely (mostly) doesn't do it with bad intentions.
‘Flat’ facial expressions
Same as his voice, his facial expressions don’t really change, and it could be argued that they don't match his emotions. For example when he froze Sero during their fight in the sports festival, and even though he didn’t really looked angry, he apologises and tells him that he was angry.
Comfort food and being a ‘picky’ eater (term that I don’t personally like, but I’m using to make a point)
Shouto really likes Soba. Especially cold soba. He is seen eating it in the anime, and it is stated in the character profile of the manga’s second volume. He even offers it to Midoriya when he is sad (that was really cute by the way, I do that too. You’re sad? Let me get some chocolate for you!)
It being cold can be because of two things.
Sensory issues about food temperature.
Him not liking boiling water because of what happened with his mother.
Either way, it is canon that he loves cold soba.
Genetic factor
I am not here to do an Endeavor analysis, but ASD is considered to have a genetic factor and Endeavor has some autistic traits as well, including fixated interests, saying things directly, difficulty with volume control, and others.
This is also your friendly reminder that autistic people are NOT saints and can commit crimes, mistakes, abuse etc.
Moving on because I don’t enjoy talking about Endeavor /hj
Low empathy and difficulty reading other people emotions
Just like Bakugou, he struggles identifying and expressing his own emotions, and has difficulty relating to other people's feelings. I think a perfect example of that is his interaction with Iida during the Hero Killer arc. He also stuggled with this a lot after Dabi revealed he was his brother, and he definetly had problems grieving him.
He also doesn't really know how to show empathy, I think that’s why he offered soba to Deku. He didn’t know what else he could do to help and show that he cared. And he is usually looking for solutions rather than offering support.
(not related picture, I just thought his face was really funny here).
Stimming
Admittedly, I couldn’t find many examples of stimming in him. But I noticed that he has a tendency to rub his finger when he is thinking.
Special interest
Becoming a hero, and in a way, All Might. I don’t have much proof of this rather than a vibe, but he doesn’t have any other interests or hobbies apart from this (apart from reading manga), which leads me to believe it’s his special interest.
Other details that I want to mention (aka, the headcanon zone)
He is often seen wearing sweaters, which I believe can be a consequence of sensory issues, and he has a very high pain tolerance. He is very observant as well.
I don’t have proof of this, but I headcanon that he is like me, and doesn’t notice that there is something wrong with him unless it’s extreme. I rarely notice that I need to go to the bathroom until I’m about to pee myself. I live constantly dehydrated because I forget to drink water and I don't really get thirsty. And I don’t notice I’m in pain unless it’s pretty extreme.
—----------------------------------------------------------------------------
That’s it, thank you for reading! I love Todoroki. When I started the series he very quickly became one of my favourite characters.
Next up in my list, Shigaraki!

The 9th Anniversary spread is coming this week so I thought it would be a good time to look through previous anniversary art.
The 1st anniversary art for 52. Class 1-A all make their debuts as do Aizawa and All Might.
The 2nd anniversary art in 106. No new debuts.
3rd anniversary art in 146. Class 1-B make their debuts as do Vlad Shinso, Hatsume, Present Mic, Mt. Lady, Kamui Woods, Endeavour, Gran Torino, Fat Gum, Best Jeanist, Nighteye and others. The big three also make their debuts
4th Anniversary art for 192. Hawks makes his debut. For the first time not all of class 1-A are in the art only 7. These 7 along with Aizawa and All Might (sort of) are the only ones to appear in all 8 anniversary art.
5th anniversary art for 235. No new debuts but all of class 1-A are back.
6th anniversary art for 279. Eri makes her debut. Though she might have appeared in the 3rd and I just couldn’t spot her.
7th Anniversary art for 321. No new debuts. The for first time since the 3rd and 4th anniversaries respectively Endeavour and Hawks miss out. All Might also sort of does but he’s there is robot form.
8th anniversary art for 359. The villains make their debut. Kouta, Thirteen, Mirko and Giant Lady also make their debuts. I likely missed more here so many characters.
It will be fun to see what the 9th anniversary will be. I think it’s safe to say class 1-A will be involved. But will it be a more smaller scale art with only a few characters like the 4th, a class 1-A with Aizawa and All Might only art or a cast of many characters like the 3rd and 8th.
Only Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, Shouto Todoroki, Ochako Uraraka, Tsuyu Asui, Kyoka Jiro, Momo Yaoyorozu, Shouta Aizawa and Toshinori Yaga (sort of) are the only ones to make it on every anniversary art so far.

Anymore ‘Izuku with a different quirk’ scenarios?
Hmmmm…. yep.
For this one, he had a quirk that’s a mutation of his parents and is similar to one of his great-great grandparents. Like Mt. Lady, his quirk is gigantification, only he can grow to any size he wants rather than only one
Course, the drawback is a speedy metabolism, so he and Momo casually talk in between stuffing their faces
Also, BakuDeku because soft&feral!Katsuki getting carried by his giant boyfriend
Mt. Lady’s sort of been an inspiration for him since her debut when he was in junior high. She actually scared off a couple of his bullies once. And he inspired her to be a better hero and not for publicity and fame
Even with his quirk, he was still tormented because I refuse to give him a break, but Katsuki kept the assholes at bay and eventually became his boyfriend
While Izuku tolerated the bullying, he went ballistic if anyone talked badly about Katsuki. He may or may not have ripped a row of lockers off the wall and threw it at someone
Katsuki: *Blushing* Damn, I love that nerd.
The students of Class 1A never would have guessed that Katsuki was dating Izuku. It took most of them a few weeks to even figure it out. Momo, Kyoka, Fumikage, Mina, Mashiraou, Shouji, Tsuyu, and Shouto could quickly tell during the first week
His hero name is Atlas
*Choosing Hero Names*
Mashirao: Wasn’t Atlas a villain?
Izuku: People only think that because he was punished by Zeus, who is the worst person ever in Greek mythology. So, that ‘punishment’ was probably just Zeus being a jerk as usual.
Mashirao: … *Nods* Checks out.
Oh, and Neito’s got a thing for tall guys, so when Katsuki’s not around, that’s when he goes to make his move on Izuku, who assumes Neito is just being nice
His Yuuei uniform, gym uniform, and hero uniform are all made from his DNA so that they all grow with him
Whenever he sees Mineta leering at any female students, Izuku grows to his giant size and flicks him into one of the walls. No one bats an eye and Aizawa pretends he didn’t see anything
Mineta: Aizawa Sensei! Midoriya flicked me again!
Aizawa: *Sipping his coffee* Did someone hear something?
Mt. Lady immediately likes him when she sees him at the Sports Festival
When he’s up against Hitoshi, he just picks him up by the back of his gym uniform and moves him out of bounds, but he didn’t stand a chance against Shouto, who just trapped him in a giant ice block
Katsuki is prone to jealousy in case you can’t tell. When it’s not Neito, it’s his classmates ogling Izuku while he’s bench pressing a sixteen wheeler in Gym Gamma
Izuku: C’mere. *Picks Katsuki up* You know no one’s taking me away from you, right?
Katsuki: … Yeah. Just kiss me, nerd.
Bakusquad: Aaaww!
Katsuki: EVER HEARD OF PRIVACY?!

Oh, What's This? MORE Random Fanfic Quotes!
“Wow, kid, did you lose your respect for your elders in that villain fight? You know, if we hurry, we might be able to find it and surgically reattach it.”
*
The greenet nodded again, his inner fanboy screeching that All Might remembered his words, but that was a very small, distant screech as if covered by several futon.
*
Sir Nighteye looked at the hand, smirked slightly, and adjusted his glasses. “That would be spoilers , All Might.”
The elevator dinged to their destination, and Sir Nighteye bellowed at his employees - both pro heroes, the blond intern, and his support staff - as he approached.
“WE’RE UNDER ATTACK, ALL MIGHT IS THROWING BOWLS OF SOBA AT PEOPLE!”
“I AM HERE, WITH A LATE LUNCH!”
Shrill screaming filled the room.
*
Like any person who has just realised that the sign they passed by had said ‘minefield’, the erasure hero started to feel out his options as he tentatively answered, “… yes…?”
*
“You remember how I said that… it .. is a type of stockpiling quirk?”
“Yes, you said it was like a well full of water…”
“Excellent! Following that analogy, what do you think would happen if you were to pour all that water into a bucket, all at once?”
“It would… oh, and I’m the bucket?”
“You’re the bucket,” All Might confirmed.
There was a pregnant pause on the line as Izuku imagined trying to contain all of All Might’s strength with just his body, his eyes drifting to the ‘food liquidizer’ that sat on his mother’s kitchen bench.
Finally, he answered: “I’m going to need a bigger bucket.”
*
“After all, if I couldn’t trust each and every one of them with the secret of One For All, how could I possibly trust them with children ?”
*
Walking out of the lecture halls adjacent to the school block and orienting himself towards the cafeteria, Izuku swore that his ears still rang with echoes of Snipe’s rapid-fire guns and gun safety brief (which frequently flew into what was eventually a half hour version of gun history with almost literal bullet points as Snipe used examples of ammunition to demonstrate the timeline). His eyes felt strained at the dozens of guns and other props, like bullets and magazines that Snipe had given him for demonstration purposes.
By the end of the gun infodump, Izuku had one thought remaining:
So that’s what that feels like.
*
Mt. Lady:
Honestly I’m just afraid that if I tried to pick up and throw Mirko she’d kick me over the moon, giant or not.
Analyst Kid:
That’s fair.
*
“So, uh, All Might, how do you activate your quirk? Or is there a switch somewhere…?” Izuku asked, one of the questions that had always made him wonder.
The teachers all seemed to be interested too, because they all leaned in a little closer as Izuku asked his question..
“Well…” All Might’s cheeks flushed a little red and the man positively radiated embarrassment as he stepped closer and lowered his voice. “I, uh… I clench my buttcheeks and yell ‘smash’.”
Nezu’s eyes bulged in their sockets as tea came out of his nostrils in twin sprays before he turned into a mess of sputtering and fur, his paws rapidly scraping the liquid from his waistcoat.
Eraserhead, meanwhile, was staring skywards and trembling like he was struggling to not die from a heart attack caused by second-hand embarrassment. Or he was trying not to burst out laughing at the number one pro and the person that was signing his paychecks.
Recovery Girl simply fell over and began to cackle.
“I know, okay!? It works, so I never tried anything else!” Yagi let out an aggrieved groan as he heard Midoriya stuff his fist into his mouth to keep himself from laughing.
Nezu blew while holding his paw down over a nostril, flushing out the last of the tea. “Midoriya-kun, I think you should go for another run.”
*
A feeling of ravenous hunger hit Izuku like he owed it money.
*
Sero changed their nickname to Scotch.
BlueFast : Sero-kun! Alcohol references are inappropriate!
Scotch : It’s a brand of tape, Iida.
BlueFast : … Ah. Of course. My mistake.
[PM Kaminari — Sero]
Kaminari : It’s totally a booze ref isn’t it?
Sero : Duh. He doesn’t need to know that.
*
CutiET : I sleep like a fucking baby, thankyouverymuch.
Kermitdóttir : Getting up every couple hours demanding food must exhaust your parents, ribbit.
*
BlueFast : I will maintain my dedication to my principles!
ModestMouse : Fuck yeah, Iida-kun! You stick to those guns!
BlueFast : … Et tu, Uraraka-kun?
ModestMouse : Iida-kun, my parents own a construction company.
BlueFast : Objection grudgingly withdrawn.
*
ZappySus : Look, as far as I’m concerned my parents have never done any of that stuff and I was left by the stork.
*
ModestMouse: I’m not gonna unpack that right now. I’m just gonna start mixing up rice flour and be glad I was gonna make mochi today anyway.
CutiET: Oh? What’s the occasion?
ModestMouse: The occasion is that we got frigging attempted murdered yesterday and mochi makes me happy.
*
CutiET: Maintaining a regular schedule is crucial to achieving our goals?
BlueFast: Maintaining a regular sched…
BlueFast: Yes. That. Exactly. With no irony.
*
SmallMight : Good fucking luck.
CutiET : WHO TAUGHT HIM THAT WORD!?
*
ZappySus : But you gotta admit it makes things more exciting!
ZappySus : Like an epic battle! But without the likelihood of death!
*
AuxcuseYou: And anyway, Iida, bands name themselves stupid shit all the time. My folks’ band was called Deep Dope for crying out loud.
AuxcuseYou: What does that even mean? Do you know? I don’t. Neither do they, I’ll bet.
*
Invisibitch: How about Shoji though? Bur-ly!
CutiET: Heck yeah! Gettin’ those huggin’ muscles to level up!
BestHugs: I feel like I have more to offer the world than just hugs.
Invisibitch: Of course you do!
BestHugs: Thank you, Hagakure.
Invisibitch: I’ll bet your piggyback game is on point too!
BestHugs: Oh for crying out loud.
*
CutiET: Mistakes were made.
BlueFast: How do you mean, Ashido-kun?
CutiET: Can’t sleep. Transitive property will get me.
Invisibitch: Mina-chaaaan! It’s Saturday! It’s too early for this!
CutiET: Can’t sleep. Transitive property will get me.
*
Invisibitch: Life’s too short to just sit back and look at what you want!
Invisibitch: Reach out and grab it like you’re a baby koala!
HornBuddy: That’s a super manly way of looking at things, Hagakure!
Invisibitch: Thanks!
Invisibitch: I think!
Invisibitch: Though I am, in fact, a woman!
HornBuddy: Manliness has nothing to do with gender! It means living with no regrets!
Invisibitch: That definition of manliness seems dubious, but I like your enthusiasm!
HornBuddy: Good enough for me!
*
ZappySus: Hey, Kirishima, why’re you up on the roof?
Kermitdóttir: What?
ZappySus: He’s up on the roof.
Kermitdóttir: Strange, ribbit.
ZappySus: What the fuck!
Kermitdóttir: What happened!?
Kermitdóttir: Kaminari-chan?
ZappySus: That gave me a FUCKING heart attack!
Kermitdóttir: WHAT?
ZappySus: He fucking jumped off the roof!
ZappySus: I was freaking out!
ZappySus: Was like “No! Bro! It’s not worth it!”

ZappySus: Is it too late to call in dead?
CutiET: Yes.
CutiET: Because if you don’t bring me that latte I said I’d pay you for, I will hunt you down.
ZappySus: Noted.
CutiET: The last thing you will see will be glowing yellow eyes.
ZappySus: Right.
ZappySus: Got it.
ZappySus: No need to continue.
CutiET: The last thing you hear, the sound of sizzling.
ZappySus: Help.
*
AuxcuseYou: I’ve got a portable music player with some good speakers as long as that genny will hold out okay, Uraraka?
ModestMouse: I’ll plug it in tonight so it’s all charged up. It should be good for at least three or four hours.
ZappySus: Ahem.
ZappySus: Excuse me, but we have again forgotten that I exist.
ZappySus: It’ll last until the end of time.
*
CutiET: I feel like you’ve got a cheese problem, Aoyama.
Scintillement: I can quit any time I like!
*
SmallMight : I love quirks. They’re the best things ever.
SmallMight : But still. “Nature” gave us nonsense like bodies made out of cement, or the ability to make physics our bitch, or combustion engines built into our bodies.
*
Kermitdóttir : Two days.
Kermitdóttir : I leave port for two days and Hosu burns down.
Kermitdóttir : What the hell, ribbit?
Scotch : Clearly you are the primary deterrent for the League of Villains.
Scotch : You can never leave again.
Kermitdóttir : Well, I mean, I GUESS.
*
“You, uh…You gonna look at us any time soon?” Gus asked later, smirking.
Hunter continued to stare at the ceiling. The tips of his ears were still pink.
“Nope,” he said.
“You sure?”
“Yeah, the uh- the ceiling’s so neglected, you know? I should pay more attention to it.”
*
“He fell down an empty well,” Emira explained with a wince.
“Not empty,” Edric said cheerfully. “There were rocks at the bottom!”

You said that you have an AU for a LMK x BnHA crossover.
Could you tell me about it?
Absolutely!
So this AU takes place after S3.
MK’s thoughts after defeating the Lady Bone Demon aren’t very pretty. We see in canon that he’s hard on himself, and while coming down from the high of defeating such a terrifying villain such as LBD, all the trauma catches up to MK.
He begins having thoughts of ‘if only I’d been better, if only I’d been stronger, smarter, a better hero.’ He begins to think that maybe, he could’ve spared his loved ones so much trauma if only he’d been better, begins to think that they shouldn’t have had to suffer so much trauma in the first place all because of him.
Ever hear the saying “be careful what you wish for”? That’s the catalyst for this AU.
Working out this part but I hat I thought up for it was that a demon goes after an artifact that can grant any wish, a sort of genie’s lamp but it can only grant one wish instead of three.
The demon gets defeated and the artifact is in MK’s hands. They thought the wish had to be spoken aloud to work but here’s the catch - wishes don’t come true when spoken aloud. To quote Puss In Boots: The Last Wish, birthday wish rule.
MK’s thought of if only I could be a better hero activates the artifact, causing him to be sent to where he could be a better hero - the Boku no Hero Academiaverse, seeing as there’s hero schools.
I thought about MK being happened across either option A) Dadzawa, option B) Mama Joke, or C) Papa Tsukauchi. And yes, I did mean to call them those.
Aizawa is such a dad, adopting without the paperwork his class, even though he doesn’t admit it, and MK in the same class as 1A would be hilarious since I do have thoughts on who he’d be friends with. This AU DOES start before the BnHA events, since I don’t want to land MK right into the middle of the school year, especially since I feel certain events and behaviors could be thwarted with him there.
That said, even if I don’t go the Dadzawa route, I still planned for MK to have those relationships with 1A students since his presence would help I think with a lot of them. But MK and Shinsou and Eri being siblings would be just perfect in my book.
Ms. Joke, despite being a goofball, takes her job both as a pro hero and a teacher especially seriously. I feel like since she deeply values her students and believes in them that she’d be good in helping MK find confidence in himself as a hero. (That, and he’s got too many dads, let him collect moms!)
Detective Tsukauchi’s Quirk let’s him know if someone is lying. MK lies a lot regarding his own well-being, so having someone that’ll not let him get away with that would do him well. Plus, Tsukauchi is a friend of All Might’s, and I did have plans for MK and Midoriya having a friendship since they have a great deal of similarities and would be helpful towards one another.
That’s pretty much what I have for the AU though.
#original idea?#bnha x lmk AU#lmk au#bnha au#crossover au#I have thoughts and my thoughts lead me to AUs like this one#thanks for asking!
