I bet this is someone's dream and someone else's nightmare...and some lactose intolerant Italian-gymnast-chaser's fever dream.

Stone arch in the entrance hall.
Tumblr media
Stunning sun room/conservatory.
Tumblr media
And, what a wonderful dining room, also in the conservatory.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What it looks like from outside.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The lively kitchen is right off the conservatory.

One of the 12 bedroom suites.
Tumblr media
Large bath. Love striped wallpaper.
Tumblr media
Looks like a ceramic studio in there.
Tumblr media
Outside, there's a heated a pool. Beautiful.
Tumblr media
Lovely patio- look at the little chest holding books and things.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then, on the hillside there's a greenhouse-style retreat and a guesthouse above, with a grass roof. The pool is next to the roof.
Tumblr media
It's lovely in here.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Gorgeous sitting room.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Spacious bedroom.
Tumblr media
And, matching bath.
Tumblr media
I wouldn't mind living in the guest house.

What a beautiful village. Look at the tower on the hill, and the lake. Somewhere on the property is a helipad and a tennis court. It's a 4 acre lot.

@franztropea takes us to discover Villa Maggiore Perugino, a former retirement home located in the ancient town of Curinga, Calabria, Italy.
This building, unjustly forgotten by history, is in a state of abandonment and decay, but it is still full of charm and elegance.
The villa was built at the behest of Major Sebastiano Perugino between the end of the nineteenth century and the beginning of the twentieth and presents itself with an eclectic style, typical of the period, born from the mixture of stylistic features of various architectural styles (medieval, neo-Gothic, Moorish) giving something unique at the sight.
The building was donated by Major Perugino, a carabiniere who returned to live in Curinga at the end of his career, to the entire community and thus became the hospice for the poorest.
Today this structure is no longer in use but is flanked by the municipal nursing home entrusted to the Franciscan Nuns of the Lord.
The building is NOT open to the public, but the nuns and nurses are kind enough to open it without any problems.
