It’s Monday, it’s time for Casual Trek! Today we’re returning to The Borg!

First up we’ve got Star Trek: The Next Generation “I, Borg”, where Dr Crusher and LaForge have taken in a stray Borg and are looking after it while Guinan and Picard both want to use it to cause a genocide.

Then we’ve got Star Trek: Lower Decks “I, Excretus” where the upper and lower decks crew swap roles for some mandatory tests. The upper decks have fun stacking crates and Boimler keeps trying to 100% a Borg-based test.

Finally we have Picard’s “Impossible Box” where we see some Borg rehab, reunite with Hugh, watch Soji learn about her origin. Oh, and there’s a Lord of the Rings elf for some reason. We’re still not a fan of him.

Farmer has been a big one. I had so much fun with him, I love him so much, and I have a fic in the works for once Tilikum is over. You guys also saw my insane ramblings for @valrayne-faeu's fae stuff - I couldn't be more of a sucker for anything fae. But I think my biggest & most favourite AUs are the ones where the boys are even MORE monstrous. Sirens (obviously), but I also had so much fun with nagas and harpies. My love of birds is second only to my love of sexy inhuman men so coming up with types of bird wings the different skeletons would have is so much fun.

Forest Gods was probably the most inspiration I've ever felt for a concept at one time. I was writing out ways to turn it into a book, researching what mushrooms would grow on their bodies, sketching Skull's bog so I could accurately describe walking through it... if I had to pick one AU to write forever, it'd honestly be a toss up between Sirens and Forest Gods.

So long as he occupied his mind with other things, Shen Qingqiu could almost ignore the box of problems he’d shoved deep in his brain. If he ignored it long enough, it would just go away on its own, right? Right. He could be normal about this. He was being so fucking normal right now. “Shizun seems to have something on his mind,” Binghe commented, dragging a comb through Shen Qingqiu’s hair. Dammit!

idk why but i always have the headcanon of bailey doing things SO indirectly nice for PC. like as subtle as humanly possible because god forbid he has feelings. PC likes a dress in a store window? it somehow ends up in a thrift store for half the price for the PC to find. (because bailey probably threatened the store worker or something)

Bailey will literally never admit to doing anything nice or even approving of what PC does so he doesn't lose face and he'd be caught dead before showing any form of affection to them - he hides his care behind the facade of "owing" them as his property, so of course he has to take care of it to some extent - can't have PC locked away forever in the asylum, or damaged by Remy's thugs, or lost in the underground brothel out of his reach (only for business reasons ofc). He doesn't gift or praise PC, or is even remotely nice to them, but he drives them home when he wins them at poker, he gets them from the hospital the first few times, and if confronted with Quinn, he tells PC not to drink or eat anything he'll hand them. To avoid damaging the merchandise too much of course, but maybe somewhere in a very, very repressed and abyssal corner of whatever black hole he has as a heart, he does care for them. But admitting that would mean he'd lose control over the carefully picked facade of indifference and heartlessness he established for himself. So he doesn't buy that dress PC keeps ogling and talking to their friends about, but if it ends in the donation pile of clothes the town has for the orphans? Whatever. Just a coincidence, just like the coincidence that PC happened to be the first to look into the box.
