And Riddle basically being the embodiment of the Queen of Hearts from the animated movie? I knew my least favorite part was coming soon 😂

Remember the ending scene in Alice in Wonderland when the Queen and all the cards chased after Alice? Yeah, that scared the shit out of me as a kid 😂

And how everyone was literally backed into a corner, especially without Leona and the others, and Idia without having a connection to his tablet. I never felt so grim about how things were ending up.

Ace wanting the desire to feel useful, and wanting to be as strong as Jack, Epel, Sebek, and Deuce...and then he starts sobbing and wishing to be useful...

Then we see Ace finally earning his unique magic... while we hold his hand and calm him down while he's panicking and worrying about the what ifs and failing everyone…

And Grim giving him that little nudge to push forward…

it goes without saying tht lick it up was a difficult transition for the guys. much of what eric went through is mirrored by paul in his book. the guys had their own inner demons they fought and the characters they created were an escape for them. a kind of a security blanket to hide behind. to become someone they wished they'd be.

for eric, the fox was his chance to feel attractive, like i have joked before, the character was one huge thirst trap. and boy did it work- and still continues to work to this day.

because believe it or not. he had always found himself ugly. and around lick it up, he had put on a little bit of weight, nothing major, just you know for once he could afford to eat. he was quite literally broke and starving before kiss. thats why the fox was quite slim at the start. so yeah he indulged because he finally could. but then felt guilt because he did gain some weight, nothing major but for someone who is so critical of their self image it was devastating.oh if he only knew how much some of the fox army like the rounder fox he'd be thinking differently. he had said in an interview the fox was his chance to feel atractive.

no wonder he got so hooked on the attention ladies gave him during his time in kiss.

eric had a major imposter syndrome. feeling like he did not belong with other celebs. he always saw himself as just paul caravello who repairs gas ranges and thats it. the fox was the desirable rockstar he was hiding behind.

then they retire the makeup and characters. all of a sudden he was just paul caravello again. and paul caravello had to be enough..

so all those demons he had been struggling with started to resurface. and he felt extremely uncomfortable during the video shoot. and couldnt even watch the finished product.

so there's part one.

then the relationshipstuff. another thing darkening his mood was a really long term serious relationship had just ended right before the video was shot. my first guess was they just grew apart because suddenly eric'd never home touring the world while they had lived together for a long while.making music together etc. but eric confirmed in an interview that him not staying faithful while on tour was the reason for the breakup. which he did regret in a major way. because he really did love her. but i'd like to refer to a point i made earlier "no wonder he got so hooked on the attention ladies gave him during his time in kiss"

I'm not personally a shipper of them myself, but I'd love to hear something related to that outside of the typical tropes of good girl/bad boy type stuff

before i start, i made this post about how i see the boys in general which may provide greater context for some of the things i say here but might not be necessary since i dont really get into brick or blossom specifically, just generally what i think the boys Deals are

so to start with, my ideal blossick isnt actually blossick. as in, theyre not actually together. the MIGHT get together in the future, maybe, but a loooooot would have to change. specifically with brick. 90% of this is centred on brick, and how fucked up he is, because my favourite blossick is brick having a one sided obsession with her while she barely remembers he exists when hes not around to make his existence her problem

for context about how i see brick (ill try to mostly talk about the show itself since thats like... the main thing, but im also influenced by extracanonical and official-but-noncanon material since there is so little for the boys in the show), i dont see him being that stoic, effortlessly cool bad boy hes usually portrayed as. i think that is not only boring, but against how the show implies that he is very insecure and very loud about hiding it.

when the girls tease them for their new hair, butch doesnt care and boomer takes it as a compliment, while brick is so upset by it hes twitching because how DARE those stupid whimpy lame-o girls make fun of him???

and... well i think its relevant that when the girls were knocking the boys back down to size, brick got the worst of it. butch biting his tongue? i dont even know how that could be considered emasculating or humiliating in any way, thats just painful. boomer having his makeup done? yeah a young boy in his "girls are gross" phase would definitely find that humiliating but hed get over it. brick getting his trousers and underwear pulled down and having people laugh at him? bro id kill myself. and outside of the show (which i recognise has much less (or even ZERO in multiversus' case) baring on canon, but considering most fanon seems to be based on more than human which is a literal fanfiction i think you can cut me some slack here) heres some that i think are good at showing off how i see his personality

he lashes out at boomer, showing how he can dish it out but not take it, because he is top dog (...puppy dog tail...) and he wont let anyone make a fool out of him

multiversus voice lines are harder to show off but some that i think are relevant are:

"names brick. im the brains here. and the brawn. ...and the looks 😏" "what can i say? ive just got a lot of anger in me with nowhere to go! its a gift!" every line he has where he idolises the joker since. well i dont think i have to explain the stereotypes associated with men who idolise the joker. especially since ppg98 implies that batman is a real person who exists in universe so the joker probably does too which would make brick the equivalent of an andrew tate fanboy who watches sigma male grindcore edits on tiktok

so, my take on brick isnt that hes stoic, or even that hes secretly hotheaded but keeps a lid on it for his image, its that hes LOUD and ANGRY and he wants nothing more than for people to think hes cool but he keeps failing and hes MAD ABOUT IT. he needs to be better than those sissies but hes not, so he feels small and pathetic and he takes it out on others like schoolyard bullies are wont to do. theres something there about how hes the most upset when mojo yells at them while the other two dont gaf but i dont have anything concrete there yet, other than he probably gets the brunt of HIMs verbal abuse since hes the leader/the "oldest" and thatd fuck up a little boy, even if that little boy was a little freak of nature who likes to beat people up for fun

now, onto the actual point of this, his relationship with blossom. i mentioned before how the boys were made literally to kill the girls, and that would definitely mess all of them up. thats the only reason theyre here! they have no greater purpose! how are they supposed to deal with that? while boomer already shows signs of going straight (not liking his brothers all that much and having to be reminded to break the law) and butch just seems happy to be here, brick is already pretty insecure in himself on a good day and thatll be made 100% worse when he really starts to think on "im not actually a person, im just a weapon", and who is he gonna blame for it? the girl he was created to kill, obviously. it was all her fault. he spends every waking minute thinking of how much he hates her, how much he cant wait to watch the life drain from her eyes, other creepy shit that he doesnt vocalise bc itd mean admitting hes not unflappable (everyone knows hes pretty goddamn flappable but he still thinks hes cool and in control). then he gets a bit older, and he grows out of that little boy "EW girls are GROSS!!!" phase, and things get. weird

he still hates her, because hes always hated her and he was made to hate her. he thinks the way he gets all sweaty and starts feeling sick whenever he sees her is because he hates her sooooooo much that he feels physically ill. when boomer stops fucking with the rowdyruff lifestyle and starts hanging out with bubbles, brick thinks the only reason hes mad about it is because his brother betrayed them, but butch doesnt care that much either. when blossom starts dating, brick assumes the reason he tastes blood in his throat and hes struggling to breathe is because he hates her so much that he doesnt want her to be happy, thats the only reason, obviously. he would never admit otherwise, not even after he finds out boomer might have the smallest itty bittiest crush on bubbles and brick realises FUCK he likes blossom. he likes her but he hates her, hes disgusted with himself even more than he ever was with her because what is WRONG with him? she literally killed him! she sent him to hell, and he was there for months until HIM saved them under the condition they get revenge on the girls. but shes pretty and smart and cool and shes the only loser around here who can hold her own against him in a fight. he sits alone in his room and he stares at an Officially Licensed Blossom Action Figure (doll) he stole, hoping shed be there to stop him but she had bigger threats to worry about. he cuddles it to sleep and he hates it because it doesnt smell as good as the real thing. he wants to snap its head off, melt it down with his eye lasers. he does not.

meanwhile, if blossom knows that brick has a thing for her, she doesnt care. why would she? some random street criminal she had a rivalry with when they were in kindergarten? she has to fight monsters while studying for her gcses and trying to maintain some semblance of a social life. shes busy! she doesnt give brick the time of day, even if he were to enrol in the same school (yknow... to keep his enemies close and all that) shed only pay attention to him if he were doing something dangerous, and without his brothers backing him up (they would not) he wouldnt stand a chance against the girls, because they have been training and studying and strategising and he has not, hes the same hes always been. pure brute strength can only get you so far

blossom looks down on brick, even more than she looks down on most people (shes the smart one, shes the pretty one, shes the perfect one, she knows shes hot shit and wont let you forget it) and it kills brick inside. he wants to kill her, but a part of him knows he wont get to see her anymore, so he just sulks and waits for her to tell him that shes always loved him, theyre destined for each other, he was made for her! and then he realises what hes thinking and he throws up out the window of mojos observatory. he thinks about throwing a dart at the photo of her he hung up on his Officially Licensed Powerpuff Novelty Dart Board. its still in pristine condition. he does not.

as far as blossom is concerned, brick is no different than the gangreen gang, or fuzzy lumpkins, or the amoeba boys on a bad day. hes easy to defeat because the second she grabs hold of his shirt his throat closes up and he cant breathe because shes touching him, and then butch or mojo are dragging him out of the remains of the prison walls and brick insists she just got lucky. again.

so for me, blossick isnt one of those "i want them to get together and go on cute little dates and kiss and cuddle and live happily ever after :)" ships. its about the drama and seeing a fucked up little boyman become worse. and above all its about being FUNNY

a lot would have to change for blossick to actually happen. like, brick would have to go through some sort of multi year long self improvement journey. probably a loooooooong way away from townsville. because otherwise... blossom wouldnt want anything to do with him. even for a casual fling as adults, shed be pretty and famous, she could have any guy or gal she wanted, and lbr brick probably isnt actually the looks. if brick asked her out shed laugh at him, like shed lean back and point and laugh, and brick would for real kill himself, and then HIM would revive him again and itd be this whole thing...

Dr Emily Grey does not have a fursona but she does think theyre neat and has let her patients all give her one, tho none of them agree on what she is. I think she's a shrike, specifically a great grey shrike! they're VICIOUS little birds, who dont look like much but they regularly hunt shit twice their size and are also known for impaling bugs on thorns and like, barbed wire?? theyre neat, and technically i think they count as corvids? clever little hunting machines

Kimball is definitely a german shepard tho like while im on the fence about it for Locus, there is no question about it for her she checks the boxes fits the vibe right down to the way she guards the new republic and chorus with her heart just under her sleeve

i think that dickroy are honestly pretty close to soulmates, they argue and bitch about nothing but at the same time; they trust each other no matter what. they've both fucked up that friendship, and they STILL come back, like the mere thought of not is Unspeakable... they orbit each other, gravity always draws them back :3

hello! yep i have alot of info

so for a creature breakdown - pete and andy are both werewolves, pete being a halfblood, andy a pure blood (for more info on those u can check out my last written post its all abt werewolves) petrick is a fae which is someyhing between a nymph and a fairy id say.???? theyre descendants of the greek muses so they tend to have artistic abilities. theres different types of fae folk, patrick is the most regular basic one. besides his artistry, his fae features include golden skin defects (freckles, moles, scars etc.), golden blood (well its not really golden, it becomes golden when it oxidizes) and golden bits in his hair. the main thing tho is how he is oercieved. when first looking at him he looks almost glowy? like if you applied a blur filter and turned up the brightness of an image. that goes away as ones eyes get used to him.

joe is a tree nymph. kinda the same family as faes but nit quite. hes strongly connected to nature amd trees and olants in oarticular. some parts of his skin are rougher, like bark. he can manipulate nature in small capacities, think reviving a house plant, growing a tiny flower or a mushroom or blooming flowers. hes also a little stiffer in the joints and gets moodshifts and headaches if not exposed to sun for too long, as his cells are oartly plant cells so he does photosunthesize a little.

fobs part in the au is just like mcrs, just navigating life as creatures. most of this au follows the "canon" so its just what if bandom was bandom, just not human. i like doing the worldbuilding and making up little scenarios for them, so theres no overarching plot over this tbh. theres some smaller subplots that are changes or completely made up tho

one of those is petekey. summer of '05 pete fell for mikeys siren atributes, and he fell hard and fast. they dated a couple months, then the charm of mikeys aura and summer wore off and mikey noticed. bcs of his "powers" my guy has some deep trust issues so as soon as he started noticing change, he broke it off to not get hurt again. pete was heartbroken for a bit but then noticed the charm wearing off too. it was a lil bitter between them for a bit but it got talked out. pete wrote a few songs, the hopelesd romantic he is, thinking abt the romance that couldve been. he got over that eventually and they both went into different paths of their own lives romantically. now they remain friends with a tiny bit of awkwardness but mostly laughing abt past.

so ywah thats petekey in my au (a condensed version anyway) im a big petericker so thats what petes got going on oretty much since the mikey fiasco. there was alot of yearning and denial involved but they got together eventually so yay. i also like the idea of trohley cuz i tought i might aswell go ahead and make everyone gay while im at it. that was a thing brewing since pretty much the beginning so just a sweet uninterrupted (mostly) slow burn. some brief joetrick somwhere in there too but thats just thanks to teenage hormones and being locked in a van for weeks, nothing serious or longlived

im so excited for invincible s2b now that it has an official release date… and that release date is march 14th

Let me talk about why that has me worried for the future of the show

I want to start with these two images :

invincible compared to the boys and now hazbin hotel has BARELY gotten any offical advertising on this level. The boys also got ads in times square for the promotion of s3 and the spin-off gen v im pretty sure but I could be wrong.

Don’t get me wrong I am rly happy to see an animated show get promotion at that level and I think more streaming services should do the same but why is it that invincible, a show on its SECOND SEASON gets nothing? The official invincible accounts have to do most of the heavy lifting themselves with generating hype on their twt,insta and tiktok. People complain that the accounts often make “an announcement for the announcement” but they have too! They literally have no other option! It sucks to see invincible show signs of a show thats clearly being tampered with by executive fuckery that has led so many other animated shows to an early grave.

Also I NEED people to realize that invincible’s release schedule NOT THE FAULT OF THE CREW

I see people regularly being rude and borderline aggressive to crew members online (which ive seen happen in other fandoms too) but the amount of people that were bitching and whining about the hiatus saying things like “this is why we shouldn’t let animators have good working conditions” and people agreeing with those takes were INSANE. The crew have no control over when the show drops or not, that is a decision left up to executives.

Now why could this delay be happening ?

a little bit ago amazon made this announcement to its customers:

this very well lines up with what many people began to speculate online as to why invincible had such a weird release schedule for season 2. They release the first half and get people hooked on the first 4 episodes ending on a massive cliffhanger and then release the second half after ads are introduced in hopes of making more money bc ppl don’t want ads in the middle of their shows.

Even then many people (myself included) think that it would’ve ultimately been better for the sake of the shows own hype to just wait to release them in March back to back all 8 episodes. Because the midseason break just kneecapped the hype the show had built up so hard and now many people are reasonably frustrated.

Because there was no clarity on when the show would be back. Most people assumed it would be a month long break for the holidays which shows have done for a long time. And then fake leaks came out that the show would come back in early January, and then the invincible accounts were virtually silent, and people were saying the break was intentional for fans to (recover) for ep 4. It was all over the place

What should fans do going forward?

Best thing you can do is stream the show legally if you can! TALK about invincible, don’t let the hype die out. Get this shit on trending ! Boost any official posts online showing that there is still a demand for this show! If you can, buy merch! Read the comics legally ! LET AMAZON KNOW WE STILL CARE ABOUT THIS SHOW!

Would gender change the reaction?

Would they be aggressive, defensive, scared, indifferent, ect?

Would the type of mer species change their reaction?

I could image that they would be heartbroken and sosoSO angry if a small child mer was put in their tank. Even more so if they were injured.

Would one of them if not both become really aggressive and defensive for the mer?

Oooooh Eclipse having a tounge would be super fun but sadly big guy dosen't have one. Everything someone bleps at him (mainly his kids) he has a bit of a crises, becasue he dosen't know what to do. He wants to blep back but he can't. So he's just sitting there like:

To your question.

If another Mer where to be introduced into Sun and Moons tank a lot of things could happen but first of all Sun and Moon would be concerned for the Mer. Depending on the Mer reaction theirs might change accordingly.

If the Mer is a female Sun and Moon might be a bit more careful when approaching her, females in general are very defensive. So then wouldn’t want to give a reason to feel threatened.

If it is a male thy might be a bit more open but still on the defensive.

The tank they’re in is barely big enough for the two of them having a third stranger Mer in here with them is going to cause so issues.

Age also plays a big role. If it’s an older Mer Sun and Moon would try to get as much information out of it, to determine if they should be on the look out or if they are free to let their guard down.

If the Mer is just a kid their big brother instincts would kick in and immediately tell the to take care of the kid. Asking if everything is ok, Where the little Mer comes from and how he got here.

But then they’d be confused when the kid pulls away from them and even tries to hide from them, which is a futile attempt since there is nothing to hide behind, so it just swims to a corner of the tank and curls up there.  

Sun and Moon would struggle to understand why the kid is so afraid of them. Back when they first got here, they would have jumped at the opportunity to be comforted by another Mer.

But what Sun and Moon don’t realize, is the to the kid them might look like freaks. Twice as big as any Mer the kid might have ever seen but still having the camouflage pattern from when they were kids.

It’s weird, it’s odd, it’s scary.

It’s not normal.

Poppyfeather and Ravenshade were on a patrol. Nothing well had happened. He pierced a neck artiery, making Poppyfeather lose lots of blood, killing her swiftly.

However, she didn't take this murder very well.

On the night of the murder, after Moonstep and Poppyfeather were grieved and buried by the clan, Ravenshade got his definitely well-earned promotion, much to his pleasure. The moment Cherrystar muttered the words:

"From now on, until my passing, the new deputy of Fallenclan will be the young Ravenshade. I hope Poppyfeather will hear these words and approve of my choice-"

A sudden downpour of rain threatened to floor the gathering and a bright red cardinal feather fell on Ravenshade's paws. This is the color of a poppy. Ravenshade thought.

At night, when the ceremony ended, Ravenshade reclined to his matted, cozy nest to have his well-deserved rest. However, poor Ravenshade would not get his beauty sleep anytime soon.

In the middle of the night, a bright mist of light appeared in front of the black tom. He opened his eyes to noticed the ghost of Poppyfeather, grinning menacingly, showing teeth more jagged than the side of a cliff.

"You fool." She said.

"What do you want now, traitor? Are you coming back to haunt me?" Ravenshade scoffed, a smile forming at the end of his lips.

Poppyfeather took a deep breath and began the speech.

"You fool, you do not realize what grave mistake you have made. I am bound here by anger, ready to curse you and your name. As the passing of time wears down on you, you will rot into a shell of your former glory, bound by greed and ambition. Claws as sharp as thorns will tear into the pelts of many, a blood river forming and a heap of bones will form under your paws. You will waste away as even your family turns against you, a mush of blood cherries crushed by your paws in anger. You will burn and melt away, killed by the one who you least expect. A small leaf will tear your flesh and desecrate your corpse, beware of everyone and everything! No one is your friend!" She chanted with passion, a smile forming as she noticed Ravenshade's eyes opening more and more. "Why must you do this? Why must you make this decision? This path takes you only brings you more and more disaster and betrayel, so abandon this path and rethink your life, or turn into a pile of ash, burned by your greed, pride and ambition. You foolish little boy, every single day of your life, i will make it miserable." Poppyfeather ended the chant, knocking Ravenshade out.

But even in his dreams, Ravenshade could not find peace. An image of a hill of bones with a river a blood forming at the base could not leave his mind, the black cat with red paws and purple eyes never escaping his dreams. Yells, shrieks, calls for help being heard at all angles, Ravenshade desperately tried to block it out, occasionally Littleleaf's voice and bloodied paws filled his vision. The black tom tried to run away from everything, only to come across the silhouette of a familiar figure.

"Do not go past this line," Gyoza said, "it is not worth the pain it will cause. A little leaf with bring your downfall, thorns slashing your neck. Turn back and run away, son."

But Ravenshade didn't follow his father's advice, tearing the ghostly apparition and running faster than ever.

Ravenshade woke up in a cold sweat, his heart beating fast.

"Brother, are you okay?" Littleleaf's soft voice was heard across the den.

"Yeah, i'm fine. Just had a nightmare."

"A nightmare after your deputy ceremony? That sounds like a bad omen, Raven."

"...I guess..." Ravenshade mumbled.

The image of the bone hill and the blood river remained throughout the day, along with the poppy red cardinal feather.
