Fracción Orihime AU (The lost princess of Hueco Mundo)
An AU where Orihime ends up stranded in Hueco Mundo during and after the fight against Aizen, leading her to "survive" by eating hollows... which ended up making her a hollow herself.
(Orihime it's a Fraction because she, kind of jokingly, becomes Grimmjow's fracción, they are constantly together)
About the AU and Orihime's Resurrection (Written by my discord buddy Budget, he is amazing)
Draft Story
The idea came to me because I just started wondering where the fuck that black box that Grimmjow used Against Ulquiorra led and I imagined it just lead to fuck nowhere inside of Hueco Mundo.
So basically how this goes is that during the fight of Ichigo Vs Ulquiorra in the tower where Loly and Melony attack Orihime. Ulquiorra gets tired and to piss off Ichigo, grabs Orihime and makes her eat the teleportation box and she ends up so fucking far away that her presence it's unreachable, suddenly the whole Karakura gang feels it, she is GONE.
Ulquiorra starts talking big and Ichigo goes fucking nuclear on his ass because sure Orihime was traumatized but she was alive... WAS. Because who the fuck knows what that box was truly.
After the fight with Ulquiorra Ichigo was going to search for Hime but is stopped, he is told that Uryuu and the rest are going to search for her, that Unohana currently needs Him to fight, so he trusts his friends to find her while he fights Aizen.
And then he fought Aizen, and he was relieved and his group of friends went to check on him… And there's still no Hime, there's no cute scene of her being relieved and making a comment on how he looks different and there's no soft smiles. He sees the guys, he smiles and then realizes... Orihime is not there and a simple "Where is Inoue?" changes the face of everyone
"We are still searching, all of the Seireitei is searching for her on Hueco Mundo"
And then he passes out from pain
…
The Caja Negación puts the victim in a pocket dimension for a bit, So Hime is stranded in nothingness for a while before reappearing, lost in Hueco Mundo, very far away. Time goes on and she grows hungrier; she goes to the point that she tries to reject her own hunger, but of course, that’s not really fenomena and trying to find a way to leave the pocket dimension left her drained of energy.
But, even though she is a place made of bone dust, she remembers that hollows bleed, but in a cruel twist, if she kills them, they become dust. She has to eat hollows alive, small or big. She still feels hungry and at some point, she notices a hole opening where her belly button was…
Listen, she has a hole in her tummy now, and who else has it? Grimmjow! Where is he? Close by!
After some time, no one knows how long she has been lost, so she finds Aizen castle and inside the castle, it's Grimmjow, who starts to bully her... Well try to…
It's the first familiar face other than her rikkas who were always by her side. Sure, he is not nice, but it's a face she knows, in a place she knows and it feels grounding enough to break her and allow her to cry.
She collapses and when she wakes up she is on the couch of her old room, Grimmjow on the other side of the room just looking at her. They start chatting, She notices how he is still damaged so she heals him without even asking. He guesses it's not the best time to complain, she is just healing him at the end of the day.
He wonders how she is still alive? Ori admits that she has been eating hollows and they go hunting together. He makes it a competition and for the first time what Orihime was doing felt somehow typical, like she wasn't fighting to survive it's just surviving.
Grimmjow jokes how Orihime it's now his fracción because they have the hole in the same place and she is following him around and Ori can't be happier with finally having guidance.
Time goes on, Grimmjow finally feels better and he opens a Garganta for Orihime to go to the human world, but he goes with her because if she it's caught by a shinigami she will get hunted because she definitely smells/feels like a hollow now. Orihime accepts and goes back to the human world, she imagines the gang think she is dead so she at least wants to clarify that.
She sees that the human world it's intact, so they definitely won which makes her so happy and decides to go to the school since it's a weekday. When she goes to the school the first person that sees her it's Tatsuki, who calls the whole gang to meet her.
Ori discovers that she has been missing for nearly a year, she is informed that the boys go to hueco mundo every weekend to search for her. Uryuu does mention that her spiritual pressure it's extremely strong and that she feels different. They don't realise she is a hollow until Ichigo finally talks…
"Why can't I see Inoue?" He asks, and everyone grows quiet…
This was a confirmation. Orihime is indeed dead, Ichigo can't feel her, or see her, he even tries to reach for her and there's NOTHING
Orihime explains how the months went, she is now friends with Grimmjow, she has seen Nel, she became great at hunting, she has met Haribel and the tres bestias and they get along pretty nice... How she has been eating hollows and at some point she simply couldn’t reject her becoming a hollow.
And with that she shows the gang the hole that was growing on her stomach.
They don't take it well, Ichigo doesn't know what 's going on so he has to explain that now Orihime was dead, that she was a hollow, she had short hair with different clothes and she was completely different, but she didn't look completely sad.
Orihime couldn't bear watching Ichigo getting explained in front of her what she went through, she wanted to talk to him, so as a test she asked for pen and paper to see if he could see her writing, and he could! This in some weird way made Ichigo feel a little better.
She goes back with Tatsuki, she cooks with her, she takes a bath, Orihime begs to do homework together for some sense of normality but... It just doesn't feel like it's normal…
She enjoys the commodities for a week, she takes her long deserved bath, she catches up with her mangas, she reads some stories to Nel and Grimmjow who don't know how to read... And she goes back to Hueco Mundo.
She comes back to the human world very often, she trains with the boys, she jokes around Uryu how they are now sworn enemies, and tells Chad and Tatsuki how she is going to eat them! And she exchanges letters with Ichigo, which has to be her favourite part. She goes to Ichigo's home, talks with Karin, helps Isshin with cleaning, eats and helps Yuzu although she can't see her and goes to Ichigo's room. He bought a whiteboard in order for her to write more comfortably and quicker. At first she just had a stack of papers but she admitted she felt bad making him buy so much paper.
They would talk like this for HOURS. She would write about her day and he'll talk about his. Sometimes she would go to his home thinking he is there and he isn't so he leaves her a message on the whiteboard, she erases what he wrote and writes down a long message of whatever she wants to.
…
17 months after Aizen's death. Let's change perspectives.
…
Ichigo misses Rukia, he misses Orihime, he misses the soul society and how he felt at home there.
He always felt like something wasn't clicking in the human world for him, and he somehow felt at home after becoming a shinigami, and he couldn't admit it to anyone… Anyone other than Orihime, the friend he failed his promise to, he owed her his honesty at least, she has long forgiven him, she always says "there's nothing you and I could have done, it was my decision to go to Hueco Mundo and it was my decision to stop being human too" she will always say.
Inoue would feel like an imaginary friend if it wasn't for his Dad always talking about missing Orihime and how he wants to talk to her, "she the only one to respect me!" He would cry, and Ichigo would remind him that Orihime describes him as " a little silly" not as a grown man.
He told Inoue everything that was going on in his life, she was pretty much his diary, maybe it was easier because he could just write it on the whiteboard and disappear afterwards. He also could guess that it was the same for her, sometimes her messages would be on the sadder side, how she missed them, how she was worried. They kept it light hearted where they were together tho...until one time.
Uryu was attacked and didn't want to tell who and Ichigo was too pissed to even hide it to Hime who was coincidentally in his home that day. She had told him days prior about Uryuu being worried about Ichigo being targeted by bad people and Ichigo chose to ignore it.
Ichigo spoke about how he was powerless, about how he misses his powers and Rukia and her… More than everything else. She is his failed promise, she is the person he failed to protect and somehow she was still here, and every time she came he was happy they weren't apart but it was a constant reminder on how useless he was.
Usually when speaking Ichigo would give her time to reply, but this time he went on and on, and when he realised that he's been speaking for minutes without stopping he looked at the board.
It was empty, but after some minutes Orihime started writing back…
"I miss you too.
Please get your powers back.
We never really hugged or anything like that, I don't know how I can miss something we never really did, but I do.
I miss you looking at me and not a place where you think I'm at.
I'm taller now but you don't know it, I look different but you don't know it.
After everything somehow I'm fine and I can't show it to you.
Please, I know it's selfish for me to ask, but get your powers back, I miss your eyes on me"
Ichigo ran through the door to Xcution that day.
The day he saw a hollow for the first time was the happiest he was in a while.
The day he saw Rukia again was a disaster, but after everything went through it was great, they spoke for hours after getting scolded for "being a pussy" and "crying like a baby".
And one day, a Garganta opened up, the first one to come out of it was Grimmjow.
Ichigo looks at him like he didn't miss him, because he didn't! But he was happy to see him in some wicked way, this was the guy that protected Orihime for 18 months when he couldn't so he was at least thankful.
And then Inoue comes through the Garganta happily like a puppy.
"GRIMM I OPENED IT MYSELF CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT OMG I-...."
She was taller indeed, she had shorter hair than the last time he saw her, but longer than the last time she was described to him.
She looked thin and fragile, but she walked with the confidence of a warrior.
He could see the hole on her stomach slightly through the white of her tank top.
Her hair clips were no longer hairclips but they were part of her, and branches grew out of them like horns.
She was fine, she somehow was alive, she didn't look sad or like she had given up.
Her eyes didn't shine as much now. But they shined like they did before when she realised HE was looking.
Looking AT her.
Listening TO her.
"You can see me." Ichigo nodded. "You can hear me" She started crying
"I can hear you," he replied.
They hugged.
Resurrección
Culebre (the name's closest direct meaning is 'Snake' or 'Cobra', but it specifically refers to a Cantabrian dragon renowned for kidnapping fairies).
Culebre possesses four separate release commands, which will have separate entries.
Release Command: Hoard.
Appearance: Upon release, the three fairies normally used for Santen Kesshun glow and writhe, white clay covering their bodies as they melt into Orihime's flesh, becoming scaled armor that stretches down Orihime's legs to end in clawed, reptilian feet, as well as armor that covers her torso, with enormous, leathery wings emerging from her back.
Ability: With this release of Culebre, Orihime's speed is greatly increased, as she can cross vast distances on foot or by flight without even needing Sonido. When she does make use of Sonido, she can make use of the tremendous speed granted to her to turn herself into a living weapon, slamming into enemies at such high velocities that the impact alone can shatter their bones and pulp their organs. Beyond her base stat increase, Orihime is also capable of creating the Escamas de Dragón (Dragon Scales), massive walls of physical rejection that dwarf the shields she was capable of before becoming a Hollow. These walls are so large and heavy, they can be used as a weapon in their own right, as Orihime drops them from high in the air or simply wraps them around her opponent in order to crush them into paste. However, despite using the most fairies, this is actually the weakest of Culebre's releases, as it has more value in helping Orihime escape or defend herself than in outright destroying her enemies.
Release Command: Gorge Yourself
Appearance: Once released, the two fairies normally used for Soten Kisshun melt into Orihime's body, becoming massive gauntlets that stretch all the way up to her shoulders. These gauntlets have the same scales as her other released forms, and end in enormous clawed hands, so large just a single one can wrap all the way around an adult human without even trying.
Ability: With this aspect of Culebre, Orihime perverts the healing nature of Soten Kisshun, transforming it into a vessel for the insatiable hunger of a Hollow. Her claws, already massively powerful and capable of devastating blows, can scrape into the Reishi around her, rejecting its existence to allow her to bypass armor and shields and strike right at her enemy's heart. But, when something is rejected from existence entirely, it doesn't just vanish, but instead leaves behind a unique energy, as the universe attempts to compensate for a clear violation of the Law of Conservation of Matter. Orihime can then consume this energy, healing her own wounds and making herself stronger and larger, to the point where she towers over her foes in a similar fashion to Yammy. However, this power comes at a price. The more energy Orihime consumes, the hungrier she becomes, the gnawing sense of starvation in her stomach leading her to devour more and more, driving her into a frenzy of feral need until either everything around her is dead or she has collapsed from the exhausting ache in her Soul.
Release Command: Kill Them All
Appearance: With the command given, and her intent filled with the murderous desires of a Hollow, Tsubaki sinks into Orihime's flesh, transforming into a draconic helmet with towering horns and gnashing jaws, which covers Orihime's head entirely save for her left eye.
Ability: The most powerful and the most limited of Orihime's first three releases, this form only allows for a single attack, concentrated on Orihime's head. By using the rejecting powers of Tsubaki, which normally splits anything in half, Orihime can cause the Reishi around her body to become dangerously unstable, in a similar manner to fissile nuclear material. She can then draw this unstable Reishi towards her head, concentrating and channeling it until it can't take anymore, and then launch it forwards with a Cero. The resulting attack is a beam of unstable, cascading Reishi, breaking down and releasing ridiculous amounts of force as it hurtles at high speed into the enemy's body, reducing them to nothing with enough force to crack a tectonic plate. Orihime refers to this as her Aliento de Muerte (Breath of Death), and uses it only when an enemy can't be defeated otherwise, as it is incredibly draining on her Reiatsu to perform more than once or twice successively.
Release Command: Devastate
Appearance: The pinnacle of Culebre's power, which melds all of Orihime's fairies with her body. However, that much power forcibly being added to her system causes her to warp and mutate, the refined armor of her previous releases breaking apart and becoming true flesh and blood. The end result is that Orihime ends up as a massive, monstrous dragon, her legs replaced with a writhing snake's tail as she drags herself forward with clawed hands and massive, canopy-like wings. Even her one eye that was normally visible under her helmet has vanished, leaving little to no trace of anything that could ever identify Orihime as 'human'.
Ability: By using all six of her fairies at once, Orihime has access to all of her prior powers, now at a considerably greater scale, allowing her to surround herself with nigh-impenetrable shields, tear the landscape apart for fuel, and fire beams of pure destruction at anything that lives long enough to be a bother. However, the true power of Culebre in this form is that it isn't quite Orihime. The massive dragon others can see is actually a shell of flesh, similar to a biological mech suit, with Orihime somewhere inside it. Because of this, there's no way to kill Culebre unless you can guarantee hitting Orihime inside it, which is practically impossible given its size. And whenever you land a blow that doesn't end the fight, Culebre simply regenerates, sealing up its flesh and reinforcing its scales as it preps another breath attack to vaporize you. That said, though targeting Orihime herself is impractical (as she could be anywhere in the dragon at any time, and even a single chunk can regrow the whole thing if she isn't removed or killed), Culebre is not without weak spots. The six fairies form points of Reiatsu that those with astute spiritual senses can detect. By targeting these points, a coordinated team can pull the fairies out of Culebre, weakening the dragon as a whole until eventually it loses all its special powers, becoming nothing more than a regular large, scary Hollow. From here, the team could then destroy the weakened Culebre, but this in turn carries a separate risk. So long as Orihime is still driven by rage, hunger, and despair, her considerable power will continue reinforcing Culebre's physical form, to the point where removing the fairies might prompt an evolution of all new attacks and strategies. Thus, in order to truly defeat Culebre, someone needs to break Orihime out of the negative emotions that fill her mind and Soul, preventing Culebre from growing stronger as it is taken apart, and she can finally be saved from her own power and grief.

It's funny in the Bleach fandom, because Shinji is pretty much a universally well-liked character, namely because he's funny, cool, has sick theme music and he was introduced the earliest of the Vizards. Yet for the life of me I can't remember a single time he actually won a fight - I'm not counting him vs Grimmjow since my man was missing an arm and had just finished fighting Ichigo, and the fight was interrupted by Ulquiorra anyway. But he got just as embarrassed by the Quincies in TYBW as the others, but everyone still loves Shinji.
Meanwhile, everybody dogpiles on Kensei and Rose for getting stomped by Mask De Mask, even though the only reason Kensei lost is because he didn't know that James is the one who can unlock their special ability and Rose's bankai actually seems pretty cool if he hadn't explained it. Like, all the Vizards were chronically underutilised by Kubo, the one who has the most consistent win rating is actually Hachi.
This isn't intended to be any hate on Shinji btw, I like him too, it just kind of bothers me when I say I like Kensei and people make fun of him/the other Vizards for being "fodder/weak", but nobody ever says that about Shinji even though he got completely blitzed by Bambietta. Idk the double-standards just bother me a bit.

Bleach: The Soul-Cleansing Classic That Never Fades
If you haven’t watched Bleach, you’re missing out on one of the most iconic shonen anime of all time. And if you have—well, let’s just say this series has a way of reaping your attention, one soul at a time.
Tite Kubo’s Bleach isn’t just another “guy gets powers, fights bad guys” story. It’s a stylish, fast-paced, and emotionally charged ride through the afterlife, wrapped in some of the slickest sword fights and character designs anime has to offer. But Bleach isn’t perfect—it has highs so high they’re practically in the Soul King’s dimension, and lows that make you wonder if you accidentally wandered into a filler arc. So, let’s break it down.
A Cut Above the Rest – The Story
At its core, Bleach follows Ichigo Kurosaki, an orange-haired high schooler who stumbles into the world of Soul Reapers (Shinigami) after an accidental encounter with Rukia Kuchiki. When she transfers her powers to him, Ichigo suddenly finds himself in the business of slaying Hollows—twisted, tormented spirits that feast on human souls. But what starts as an after-school job quickly escalates into a full-blown war between worlds.
From the sinister politics of Soul Society to the chillingly powerful Espada of Hueco Mundo, Bleach continuously reinvents itself with new threats, betrayals, and jaw-dropping power-ups. The narrative isn’t afraid to throw its characters into the deep end—sometimes quite literally, considering how many fights involve people falling off buildings mid-battle.
The strongest arcs (Soul Society, Arrancar, Thousand-Year Blood War) feel like pure shonen gold. The weaker ones (Fullbringer Arc, I’m looking at you) have their moments but can sometimes drag like a filler episode you accidentally sat through because you thought it was canon.
A Cast to Die For
One of Bleach’s greatest strengths is its characters. Ichigo himself is a refreshing shonen protagonist—he’s not chasing a dream or screaming about becoming the best. He fights because he has to, because people are counting on him, and because he refuses to let anyone suffer if he can help it. He’s stubborn, serious when needed, and just the right amount of sarcastic to keep things entertaining.
And then there’s the supporting cast, which is as vast as Soul Society itself.
• Rukia Kuchiki – The short, deadly, and emotionally complex Soul Reaper who steals the show every time she’s on screen. She’s not a damsel in distress—she’s a warrior with her own battles to fight.
• Byakuya Kuchiki – Rukia’s older brother, whose cold, aristocratic attitude could probably freeze Hueco Mundo over. Watching his character arc unfold? Chef’s kiss.
• Kenpachi Zaraki – If “fighting for fun” had a face, it would be this man. Unapologetically overpowered, he makes every battle a spectacle.
• Aizen Sosuke – A villain so smooth he could convince you the sky is green, betray you, and then still make you question whether you deserved it.
• The Espada – The Arrancars bring some of Bleach’s best fights and lore. Ulquiorra, Grimmjow, and Starrk? Legends.
There are tons more characters—some incredible, some… well, some that exist. (Looking at you, Omaeda.) But love them or hate them, they make Bleach what it is.
⸻
Animation & Soundtrack – A Feast for the Senses
If there’s one thing Bleach consistently delivers, it’s style. From the sleek black Soul Reaper uniforms to the unique zanpakuto designs, Kubo’s aesthetic sense is top-tier. And while the animation quality fluctuates (especially in filler arcs), when Bleach goes all out, it’s breathtaking.
The fights? Fluid, flashy, and absolutely packed with hype. Ichigo vs. Byakuya? Legendary. The final showdown with Aizen? A spectacle. Kenpachi going all-out? Pure adrenaline.
And let’s talk about the music. If Bleach was a meal, its soundtrack would be the seasoning that makes everything pop. From the iconic Number One (which makes you feel like you could take on an army of Hollows yourself) to the hauntingly beautiful On the Precipice of Defeat, every track fits perfectly. The openings and endings are bangers too—if you haven’t vibed to Asterisk or Rolling Star, you’re doing anime wrong.
⸻
The Good, The Bad, and The Filler
Like any long-running anime, Bleach has its ups and downs.
The Good:
✔️ Amazing fights that keep you glued to the screen.
✔️ A deep, well-built world with fantastic lore.
✔️ Memorable, stylish characters that stand the test of time.
✔️ A soundtrack that slaps harder than a Getsuga Tensho.
The Bad:
❌ The pacing—sometimes Bleach moves at lightspeed, sometimes it feels like an eternity (cough Hueco Mundo rescue mission).
❌ Some characters don’t get the development they deserve (Chad deserved better).
The Filler Arc Problem:
If you’ve ever watched Bleach, you know the struggle of realizing an entire arc doesn’t matter. The Bount Arc? Skip. The Zanpakuto Rebellion Arc? Actually decent, but still filler. Bleach has some of the longest filler stretches in anime history, making it a test of patience for any binge-watcher.
⸻
Final Verdict – Should You Watch It?
Absolutely. Even with its flaws, Bleach remains one of the most iconic anime out there. It has action, drama, incredible characters, and some of the best battles in anime history. Whether you’re a veteran otaku or a casual viewer looking for an entry point into anime, Bleach is a must-watch. Just… maybe keep a filler guide handy.
Final Score: 9/10
(-1 point for filler, because let’s be real, no one asked for the Bounts.)

BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War - The Conflict episode 7 review
This episode was awesome! It truly got my blood pumping with everything finally rolling into action and some action being taken! Not forgetting some sassiness~!
I must admit I chuckled when Mayuri and Nemu took their own private elevator, that wasn't that private. The fact Mayuri was ready to do some unthinkable things while no one would be looking (all for the name of science!) just to get caught by Kenpachi. xD It was hilarious how Mayuri had all but a mini-heart attack when Kenpachi strolled through his private elevator all sassily. Also, as a side note, it was kind of cute how despite Kenpachi appearing all rough and such, he diligently dried his hands when using the toilet like a good boy he is! Luckily Mayuri stayed behind, just so he wasn't left out of action. Along with his posse. The fact they dragged Hanataro along with them was a bit odd, but I suppose just like with the main shinigami group they knew a healer is a must in a battle.
Unfortunately, the main shinigami group's healers went down almost right away... Which made me think, uh, kido anyone? Like anyone? I feel like after a certain point Bleach threw into a trash can any "lesser" kido spells and now those are exclusive material to some OP people like Aizen. Which...isn't true. When Lille Barro started to shoot his shots, I get it when Hisagi went at first down it took everybody by surprise, but after that? It just felt like creators and animators were "oh no, we allowed too many characters to enter Wahr Welt, gotta weed them out." As manga readers know, there will be a few main battles that are mostly solo ones. But even so...it felt a bit odd. Of course, one could say they (not captain-level shinigami or Rukia and Renji who were trained by Ichibe) couldn't create any kido spells to protect themselves because Wahr Welt is the Quincies' turf, but even so...
Anyway, Renji vs. Uryuu Ishida was marvelous! Those who are anime-only watchers might not know this, but this fight wasn't shown in the manga. (Not to mention several other scenes in this episode, but a bit later on about that.) It was very joyful to see Renji using his real Bankai against Uryuu. It truly felt like Renji's hardworking training underneath Ichibe paid off! Not to mention, what's so bad just using brute force? Especially when Uryuu wasn't that different in the end. Or, at least I couldn't see any epic strategy behind his attacks, except from the 'I've few aces in my sleeve' and in the end, they're stronger than their opponent. Renji put up an excellent fight but sadly lost in the end to Uryuu. I'm not sure if it was about strength, but maybe because he hesitated as Uryuu guessed? Hard to write. But did anyone notice, once again, that we're going with parallels with this all? This fight ultimately made me think of Renji vs. Byakuya. The fact Renji showcased his true Bankai with pride, using his brute force and his opponent taunting him because of that? And the end 'the reason why you lost' speech? Yeah, reminded me awfully lot of from Renji's battle against Byakuya. Unlike Byakuya, it seems like Uryuu shattered Renji's reiryoku center. Which basically would render him useless, unlike in Byakuya's case Byakuya only shattered Renji's pride... Let's hope that isn't the case because then Renji would become a big burden to everybody and his career as a Gotei 13 member would end. I'm just waiting for someone to pop up in the next episode and help him!
Grimmjow deciding to join Ichigo's group, just to deviate from that was funny. His whole chase against Askin Nakk Le Vaar was something that didn't happen in the manga, but I'm glad it did happen in the anime! He truly showed his panther side and the fact he transformed his hands into his claws? So cool! However, it was a bit dirty for Askin to use his poison ball against Grimmjow. I mean, cat instincts seemed to be strong in Grimmjow...
As a side note, it was interesting when Ichigo's group was heading toward Yhwach they were on the street level while both Nelliel and Grimmjow used rooftops to move along. I'm not sure if their animal part played in that or if it was a tactical move as the higher you're, the better you can see, hence, Grimmjow spotted Askin first.
If we go to the beginning of the episode when Yhwach sends his Quincies to fight against the Shinigami and Ichigo's group, I couldn't help but wonder why Yhwach didn't use Uryuu's full name? It just felt odd. I would have understood if the others didn't have last names, but some of them had, so it felt odd. Also, the whole sending them off was very cool, but somehow comical? I don't know, it felt like a big baddie move where the Big Bad sends his henchmen to fight against the heroes, or in this case, maybe the analogy of King sending his most elite knights to fight evil demons would be more suitable? It depends on whose side one is and who we view as bad guys and good guys.
Gerald Valkyrie shouting he is ready to face all shinigami was funny. The fact that Bazz-B, Liltotto, and Giselle went on their own way, just for Giselle to call out they're back home was also funny. And I've to ask...did Jugram have a gigantic mirror TV he used to watch everything unravel while Yhwach was on a nap? I'm not sure if it's day or night in Warh Welt, but because Jugram is Yhwach's 'night' and if Yhwach decided to take a nap during the day...he would need a mirror TV just to see what's going on during actual night he would have Almighty. Unless there really isn't night and day during Warh Welt? Or it's both at the same time? Or when Yhwach adsorbed the whole Soul King Jugram can't really anymore use Almight? But yeah, it seemed like he had a huge mirror TV.

Reflecting on Ichigo vs. Grimmjow
This past week, we lost electricity and internet for a few days. In addition to engendering a much deeper appreciation for modern amenities in me, it led me to dust off a bunch of old Shonen Jump issues I bought at Kroger when I was a kid! Someday I'd like to collect a copy of every English monthly and weekly Shonen Jump anthology, but that's not the point of this post.
No, the point is that while thumbing through them, I encountered the last chapter of Ichigo's fight with Grimmjow, and I was struck by how much of the subtext and emotion I missed as a dumb teenager. That's not to say all teenagers are dumb, I don't think they are and I think the way that adults in general look down on and bully adolescents is stupid and wrong; I'm just saying I, myself, was a teenager once, and back then, I was dumb as hell.
Anywho, I remember really, really being struck by that flashback to when Grimmjow was still an Adjuchas and running with his pack that all eventually became his Numeros. When I was a teen, I don't think I had the mental framework to understand why, but now I do. The whole concept of the Arrancar is a hell of a lot more fascinating with all the things I've learned and opened myself up to since then, and looking with fresh eyes at this one chapter of Grimmjow and his interactions with his underlings and Ichigo was a real thrill.
It's interesting how, while Shinigami get stronger by cloaking themselves in Hollow powers, Hollows get stronger by becoming more like Shinigami. They tear off their masks, assume more-or-less human forms, and store their full Hollow form as zanpakuto for the renewal and empowerment of Resurrección. And I've started to reflect a lot on what monsters taking on humanoid form means for the story's themes.
When I look at the Espada, I see these once animalistic phantoms who exist only to consume and perpetuate their own existence who have now taken on human form and the very human search for meaning in some form. Yammy's a bad example of this like he is for fucking everything, but maybe the point is that he's such a big lug with so much power to throw around that he doesn't need to try to give his life meaning? But that's a reach.
Starting from Number 9 instead, we have Aaroniero, the only Gillian in the Espada. The Gillian are the first stage of Menos Granda, resulting from the hunger that defines all Hollows becoming so great that human souls no longer can satiate them, and so they cannibalize each other in a huge feeding frenzy that eventually produces a Gillian. As a result of smashing all these Hollow personalities together, they lose their individual identity, as seen with how Gillian all have the same appearance until they metamorphose into the next phase, an Adjuchas. When this happens, an individual identity asserts itself.
I don't believe that Adjuchas are actually representative of any one living human's former identity like non-Menos Hollow are. Rather, I think that an Adjuchas is a whole new identity that originates from that congealed mess of interfeeding and assimilation that produces a Gillian. Correct me if I'm wrong on this, but I don't think any of the Arrancar were once living humans, in that I think their experience as individuals begins at their emergence as Adjuchas.
Getting back to Aaroniero, he (they? it?) was probably just on the borderline between Gilian and Adjuchas. So you have this sort of very broad strokes, half-animal consciousness that's only starting to become self-aware again. Aaroniero only has a little more going on in his/their inner life than the primal desire all Hollows have to feed, and I think that bears out in how Aaroniero takes the identity of what's eaten and lives to eat. Aaroniero only has a little more than hunger, but is using that hunger as a basis for meaning and trying to create an identity by eating otthers and integrating them. Perhaps unfortunately, Aaroniero dies before completing self-actualization.
Szayel Aporro, the next rung on the ladder, is also defined by desire in a more broad sense. It's not only hunger, but also lust and more complicated forms of greed that drive him. He's a scientist, but in the sense that he's possessed of avarice for knowledge. And his Resurrección reflects a desire for power over others - over their bodies and over their fates. In that way, following his desires leads to meaning for him, to some sort of goal: acquiring knowledge and more complex, effective means to then acquire more knowledge and satisfy other desires.
Zommari is marked by fanatical love. Love is interesting in that it's simultaneously a desire and a virtue: to love someone or something is to desire them, but also to desire their wellbeing. It's a need to meet the needs of someone or something besides yourself. And yet, Zommari has this very immature, incomplete love: he makes all of these adulations towards love, but in the end, his Resurreción forces others to love him and serve him. He's unable to go outside of himself at this stage, but while he's beginning to see the big picture, it all still comes down to his own primal desire to have, to possess, even if not necessarily to consume.
I could keep going up the list, but I'm going to stop at Grimmjow for now because he's the one on my mind the most due to recency bias. He and his pack of Adjuchas ended up settling on a very different desire from any of the foregoing Arrancar: power. Not consumption, not possession, but growth and evolution. Obviously the latter is attained by and makes it easier to attain more of the former, but the point is that it's a very different relationship to the world and the self from what Aaroniero, Szayel Aporro, and Zommari have going on.
Grimmjow and his underlings have as their primary, guiding objective not to fill their stomachs or secure possessions, but to evolve further and realize their latent potential. This is no longer in the realm of meeting some primal need like hunger, security, or some other form of tangible, useful abundance. Self-improvement for its own sake is something very abstract and symbolic, something downright esoteric if you're only looking at biological utility. It's something almost unspeakably human, to do something not for the benefit of survival, but because you've decided it's meaningful.
That's Grimmjow and his pack. They've declared that strength has meaning even if it doesn't meet your needs and desires, and so they make sacrifices on the altar of strength. And it's why his subordinate Adjuchas are so distraught when they realize they can't go further. Strength is their meaning, their tether guiding them through the dark desert of existence, and now they've obtained all of it that they can. Not for lack of trying, but because they had a built-in limit. I think you could argue that wanting Grimmjow to eat them is partly a suicidal response to realizing they're at the end point of their chosen meaning and can't proceed further with it.
However, it's also fascinating that rather than just ending it themselves in some way, they all choose to offer themselves up to Grimmjow. They see him as the embodiment of strength and of the law of the jungle, the might makes right philosophy that gave their existence meaning and let them continue to try and live. And so they want to sacrifice themselves so that he can reach his full potential and go further beyond, to the frontiers of strength they know they can never reach. It's visceral, animalistic, and short-sighted, but you can't call it anything else than compassion. They choose to give up their needs and desires for the needs and desires of someone else.
And so when Grimmjow's always pushing himself to assert his pride and to get as strong as possible, to defeat anyone and everyone that he can, sure, it's his ego motivating him. However, it's also the fact that now, he's the one carrying the symbolic meaning of strength on his back for his Numeros. Getting stronger is no longer just his own meaning, but it's a responsibility he owes to his comrades who weren't able to get stronger with him. And that meaning keeps him moving forward on a collision force with greater challenges.
Like one Ichigo Kurosaki. When you look back at Ichigo's characterization in early Bleach, it starts to click why he makes this connection with Grimmjow. He sees himself in him - or maybe just a person he could have become if things went differently. Ichigo's kind of a punk who likes to fight and flex his muscles, but he became that way because his natural orange hair he inherited from his mom made him look like a delinquent and turned him into a lightning rod for conflict. Some people see a nail that sticks out and can't rest until they hammer it down, and Ichigo had to learn to fight and to enjoy fighting in order to protect himself and his self-respect. He could just do something as simple as dye his hair black, but then, that would be hiding something he inherited from his dead mother just to make life go a little smoother. It would be stepping on something important to himself just so he could take the easy way out.
Grimmjow is someone who finds meaning in conflict and strength for its own sake. Ichigo finds meaning in conflict and strength only to assert his own self-worth and, with time, to protect the friends who have gradually gathered around him. He's not just some punk slugging people for getting on his case over something as stupid as hair color, his strength represents a responsibility to the people he loves. And that element of strength as meaning, strength as a responsibility to others, ties him and Grimmjow to each other.
It's why Ichigo frustrates Grimmjow so much. He sees himself in Ichigo, but he also sees something not-himself. He sees someone who has pushed himself to get stronger, but someone who doesn't worship at the altar of strength like he does. Instead, he sees someone with this over-abundance of strength who doesn't assert it, doesn't make more sacrifices than necessary for it, but just uses it as a means to an end: that end being the safety of people he cares for.
This creates friction inside of Grimmjow because strength is his rock, his one singular meaning in a dark, barren, stupid world. For strength to just be the means to an end is hard to process. Yet in Ichigo, he starts to see what lies beyond strength for its own sake: a way that strength can form bonds and maintain them, act as the seedbed for new meanings without losing its meaning in itself.
When Ichigo pleads with Grimmjow, "We don't need to fight to the death. Isn't it enough for us to fight each other again and again?" It's him extending an olive branch. He doesn't want to see more death and destruction than necessary anymore, but he knows now that the world of Arrancar like Grimmjow is defined by those things. If he wants to end this conflict without killing an opponent he respects, then he has to meet Grimmjow in the middle. He has to make a commitment to get stronger and fight Grimmjow again, as many times as he wants, if it means Grimmjow will lay down his arms and stop trying to get to him through his friends.
Of course, Nnoitra has to show up and fuck it all up like he does most things he involves himself with. I've come to find Nnoitra an interesting character in his own right and might have more to say about him in the future, but for now, I'll say that I think the fact that Grimmjow ends up helping Ichigo and Co. during the final arc indicates he's accepted Ichigo's terms and is expanding his horizons beyond fighting and killing to grow and assert his strength and nothing else besides that.
He's definitely evolved his fashion sense. Did you see those boots? Faboo! To die for! Or, perhaps, to live for?

character review : Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez

BLEACH SPOILERS!!!!!!! BECAREFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Grind, Pantera"
small character overview : grimmjow is the 6th espada, his backstory is shown to be him as an adjuchas teaming up with other adjuchas to become arrancars, his team however gave up in become vasto lordes and let grimmjow eat them because they felt like grimmjow was the only one possible of becoming a vasto lorde.
______________________________________________________________
personality and traits : grimmjow is usually calm, but disrespectful and sadistic in a fight and usually very brutal and impulsive
______________________________________________________________ personal thoughts on grimmjow : i think grimmjow was an excellent character, i think him bringing orihime inoue to ichigo to heal him so they could continue their fight after the karakura attack made his character less evil and just looking to fight added to his character as just someone looking to get stronger.
______________________________________________________________ powers and abilities : all arrancars have an ability named "ressureccion", which comes from the hogyoku, grimmjow's ressureccion is named Pantera, this form turns him into a panther (who would have guessed) and making him a shit ton stronger.
grimmjow has an attack that's only been used by him, gran rey cero, grimmjow mixes his blood with a cero to fire an extremely strong cero which is banned to use inside of Hueco Mundo.
honestly grimmjow has alot of attacks but i'd say his signature attack is Desgarron (translates to laceration).
______________________________________________________________ later appearances : for most of the manga, grimmjow completely dissapears after the hueco mundo arc, but he later reappears in the thousand year blood war along with nelliel tu odelschwank, grimmjow has a major part in the fight of kisuke urahara vs. askin nakk le vaar, sternritter D. kisuke uses his bankai to create a path into askin's gift bereich, (translates to deadly poison domain), and tear out his heart, killing askin
______________________________________________________________
overall : for the most story, grimmjow is an unimportant (fraud) character until TYBW, where he was the key to killing askin, his character was done excellent and him wanting to get stronger because he kept getting beat by characters like ulquiorra cifer and ichigo kurosaki kinda adds a sort of persistent personality esp after he kept trying to fight ichigo and got his ass kicked

*busts down the door and cart wheels in* Imagine Orihime being a soul reaper like Ichigo and having her personal battle against Ulquiorra (like how Ichigo had his fight with Grimmjow). It's like light vs dark, death vs life, etc.
I think there's this one artist I follow who made art for it. https://www.tumblr.com/kittiemitties/715429914547027968/i-never-posted-it-but-my-entry-to-last-years?source=share
Tho I'd love to see Orihime have a battle with Ulquiorra. But I feel like Orihime wouldn't want to kill him and once the dust settles, their dynamic would focus on the contrast of emotions and logic between them and how a person needs a mix of both to make it in the world.
Heck, maybe in the Fullbring Arc, Ulqiuorra wouldn't be affected by Book of the End due to it being an ability rooted in emotion and Ulquiorra is a very logical being. Also, it just wouldn't really make sense for there to be any place in Ulqui's memory that Tsukishima could just put himself in.
So, going with that, he could end up being an unlikely ally for Ichigo during that time as both of them are the only ones that can see through Tsukishima's Book of the Bullshit.
#i managed to dunk on tsukishima in this#ulquihime#all the contrasts between them are so fun to play around with#bleach#orihime#ulquiorra x orihime#jinn's asks

Idk if you’ve been asked this question before but whilst reading the manga weekly before it ended was there a time where you felt like the chances were low of Ichihime becoming endgame ? Maybe you felt like it wasn’t going to happen and IR was or Ichigo was going to end up alone ?
Nah, I mean I watched the anime first and was just a casual fan for a long time--I didn't know about the fandom and shipwars, I hadn't ever read the manga, I just watched bleach as a teenager and didn't put much thought into it. But, while watching, when Ichigo made the vow to protect Orihime, I thought it was pretty likely for canon, and then when the Grimmjow battle and lust arc happened I was even more convinced. But I didn't get into the online fandom and start reading the manga weekly until 2012 and by then, the final arc of the manga had already started.
I think I joined shortly after the chapter with the peach ass scene came out because I saw ichiruki trending on twitter one day so I looked into it to see what all the fuss was about. And I was so confused by how many people thought IR was endgame when I thought IH was so obvious?? But then I thought, "well, maybe the anime has added in a bunch of IH filler and downplayed IR." So I started reading the manga to see for myself what was actually canon vs. filler, and I was surprised to find that a lot of IH moments had been downplayed/omitted from the anime while a lot of IR moments were either played up, or they were complete filler! So once I finished reading the manga all the way through, I felt like the fandom had things totally backwards on which ship was actually romantic and more likely for canon so I started this blog so I could talk about it lol.
So anyway, long story short, by the time I joined the fandom and started reading the manga weekly it was already the final arc, and I was pretty convinced IH was going to be canon. If not, then I figured Ichigo would end up alone/in an ending open. I never really thought IR stood much of a chance once the SS arc ended and the arrancar arc began. And then in 2014 when 589 happened (with Ichigo blushing about Orihime's clothes while their friends played Cupid for them) I knew it was only a matter of time for canon. Even an open-ending didn't seem likely at that point because IH just became more and more obvious in the final arc, and then when it was announced that the final chapter would be set 10 years in the future, I was like "okay, so they'll be married and their next gen kid will be revealed." And, that was that!

I don't have the interest or desire to really flesh this out beyond observing it but maybe it's useful to somebody. So like Wandenreich invades Soul Society twice and the first time everyone mostly 1v1s doing this honorable duelist bushido nonsense they've always done, during an actual proper war, and they uniformly get wrecked, with Yamamoto dying. The second time, most of the fights by Shinigami are in pairs or small groups, at least partially:
Tōshirō AND Rangiku vs. Cang Du
Soifon AND Marechiyo vs. BG9
Shinji AND Sajin AND Momo vs. Bambietta
Kensei AND Rose AND Renji vs. Mask De Masculine
Rukia AND Byakuya vs. Äs Nödt
Mayuri AND Nemu vs. Pernida
Shunsui AND Nanao vs. Lille
Yoruichi AND Yūshirō AND Kisuke AND Grimmjow vs. Askin
Lots of People vs. Gerard
Kenpachi AND Yachiru vs. Gerard
Byakuya AND Tōshirō vs. Gerard
Ichigo AND Orihime vs. Yhwach
Ichigo AND Uryū AND Renji AND Aizen vs. Yhwach
Now, I don't think most of these fights work well or are very good because the team-ups generally make one party or another look weak or stupid and make the villains look ridiculously overpowered, making for mostly unsatisfying fights (notable exceptions: Cang Du, BG9, Lille) but I do think that this signifies something thematically even if it doesn't work narratively very well.
Basically the death of Yamamoto, the death of the last and greatest of the old guard solo queuers, was the death of the old mentality of the Gotei 13 and the shift to the most overpowered powerup in all of history: teamwork. Not that they're mostly any good at it yet, but it does represent a major shift in their thinking.

You didn’t even mention Aizen vs Everybody, Shinji’s bankai reveal, Grimmjow giving Ichigo the beaters in their first fight or Yamamoto vs Ywach. Bleach’s fights make things so unfair🤣🤣🤣 My favorite theme from Bleach is either Asterisk(very first one it’s so nostalgic) or Velonica(turning back the pendulum arc). Another important question, ya gotta answer this one….: What’s the worst moment in Bleach?
Anytime, thank you as well I really appreciate it(: I’m not on going on anything major med wise, honestly I’m more nervous about therapy cuz I’m worried it won’t work.
Solo leveling looks super good, I’ll definitely check it out. If you’re into like web comics at all or manwha I also recommend God of High School. The anime, while animated spectacularly, was a massive disservice to the entire series. And nahhhh those aren’t lame at all, trust me whatever you’ve watched that might be embarrassed by, I’ve seen worse lmao.
Yoooo that screen saver is sick! Mine isn’t nearly as cool but since you decided to share, I’ll do the same😊
Ahh I’m sorry I ended up really tired yesterday, I *almost* mentioned those but I was nervous I already mentioned a few and didn’t want you to think I was ~that~ bad at deciding, but I am 😂
Aizen vs Everyone was awesome! I’ll forever be sad for momo lol. I love Grimmjow almost as much as I loved Ulquiorra. Shinji’s Bankai is great too! Mayuri’s bankai is a favorite of mine also. I love Mayuri 😭
Ooh, I do love the first theme song🤔 . Honestly I wasn’t sure if you meant from bleach or in General, my initial thought was in general and I definitely couldn’t think of an absolute favorite lol.
The worst part of bleach?? Oof. Um, maybe all the fillers 😅 (especially the bount arc). I genuinely love Bleach & don’t have many parts I dislike, but the amount of fillers does drive me a bit nuts when rewatching. What about you? What do you think is the worst part of bleach? If you could befriend three characters, who would they be?
Therapy can be good, I understand being nervous about it though. I went through 2 therapists before finding one I was actually comfortable with. Though, I can’t see her anymore now. (Insurance changes)
It’s part of why I made this blog, because I need a way to let out all my shitty thoughts haha.
I encourage you to give it a try at the least 💖
I’ll definitely check out God of High School 🤔🙂 & well I’m glad you don’t think those are too awful 😂
Your screensaver is adorable!! 😇

still no grimmjow this week 😔 i thought we were going to finally get to see him because we saw crumbs last week but it’s not time yet
also i’m sorry for being a traitor and giving tybw arc views but i am a sucker for good animation 😭😭😭
but we did get byakuya's naked ass so that's a nice compromise :') those days back in 2015/2016... oh man, the nostalgia.... i still hold the opinion that kubo should not have retconned his death no matter how upset the fandom was back then. the as nodt fight was fucking spectacular and one hell of a way to kick off the TYBW arc. byakuya's death really meant something bc this was (not exactly but you get what i mean) the very first time a major supporting character died and it was just all so dreadful... especially when the yamamoto vs yhwach fight happened immediately afterward..... good fucking god those first few fights that started the arc...... kubo killing off characters left and right (in a good way) ... soul society turning into hell ... the gotei 13 taking Ls after Ls after Ls..... the shinigami begging for ichigo to come save them............ god it was special back then..... bleach used to be something special........
#AND THEN IT TURNED INTO THAT FUCKING GARBAGE GODDDDDDDDDDDD 7 FUCKING YEARS LATER AND I'VE STILL NOT RECOVERED FROM THE BLEACH ENDING#I DEMAND COMPENSATION FROM KUBO TITE 7 YEARS LATER AND THE DAMAGE IS STILL NOT REPAIRED !!!!!!!!!#UGHHHHGGHHHHHHHUHHHHHHHHHYHHHHH FUCK BLEACH!!!!!!! FUCK THE TYBW ARC !!!!!!!!!!!!#tuanchweian#answered
