hey.... i wanna know your honest Thoughts on the jjk ending? Give a rating out 10. Honestly i'm ranting. I mean the good things in the chapter were sukuna's conclusion, the flashback with gojo , queen utahime being alive yay and the nice art with everyone at the end. Usually i would wait for a story to finish before ranting/judging but my god this kinda sucked. I don't want to be too critical but god I am just disappointed and kinda mad. Overall it is an okay/mid manga ;). Gege is not worst writer but ughh. Aot or mha sure they have their flaws but my god..These should never be compared to THIS. so now we could really say that gojo stayed south. With the full chapter, this does not change my opinion cause it still kinda sucks overall even with the whole north vs south meaning. Nothing really changed in the society or lessons maybe except for yuji and sukuna. The kiddos all really went back to missions huh after everything. I have alot to say with relationships and bonds, wasted potential on many aspects but that is a whole other discussion. i totally understand we can't write a backstory for every single character but that is not what i am insinuating here and yes there should be room for a little literary interpretation . That a whole different topic... Anyways I agree with alot your rants. i would like to hear your opinions. In the end we never got to see a gjhm flashback unfortunately. Ok so let say gojo is dead dead I find it hard to believe no was like remembering or acknowledging not even his comrades ( examples shoko, utahime etc_ or the students (i mean i am pretty sure these characters would but i would like to SEE it you know) and so many hints were gearing for gojo's revival but it is meaningless... and was used for pr ngl that's sad. Maybe the anime would do better at some aspects but i will be salty anyways. i will see uta's dance ;) animated so that i looking forward to and ig the maki's massacre. it looks like it's open ending but really!? They are some loop holes but HEY FEAR not we will probably see answers to our questions in the q&a segment! sigh. I lowkey do not want a "jjk part 2" it is draining. Gege when i catch you. I think gege intended this story to be short oh well. I have alot to say but this gonna be a novel lol. Sorry for errors i was in a moment and i hoped you understood what i wanted to say. Hope the gojohime fandom would not die and looking forward to see some nice content.
Thankyou
I already went on a mini rant here. If I have to rate the ending, I'd say maybe 2-4 out of 10?
JJK really did turn out kinda mid. It has an easy anime to get into (the anime carries it mostly 🫣), to recommend for newbies, but that ending will make one hesitate to recommend it now. Maybe wouldn't even bother to.
I'm also disappointed & mad. I don't even wanna consider that Gojo is fully dead (cuz Gege went about it so terribly). Gege skipped Gojo's whole month after his unsealing then killed him off-panel a few chapters later. The north & south thing was pointless. We didn't even get to see Gojo make a choice. There were so many hints about his potential revival but they amounted to nothing.
Summed up in this image:
This Tweet sums up the terrible mishandling of Gojo's character too 😡. This other short thread pretty much says that his "death" didn't make sense for Gojo either; accepting to stay at the airport is him regressing to his teen self. It doesn't properly conclude Gojo's character arc at all. He was meant to MOVE ON from the loss of his "springtime of youth" & continue to strive for a better future with his comrades & students; the future that HE DREAMED OF 😤 (oof, don't wanna rant further on Gojo; don't wanna make this longer 😅).
Honestly, the fan theories made the story seem much better than it actually was. At least with this ending, people can finally start seeing & admitting that Gege isn't a great writer. I've certainly never thought he was 😒; I once went on a rant here about most issues with this manga, one of them being how terribly fast-paced it is. This story is the definition of wasted potential. So many missed opportunities.
Whatever Gege comes up with for the databook, it'll be infuriating. He'll try to fill in the plot holes but man, I don't think it'll be satisfying. He might not even answer the burning questions everyone has (just like Kub0 never answered everyone's burning questions about the Bl3ach ED, or more like, no one dared to ask. Maybe he himself didn't allow those questions for his interviews 😒). Hope ppl don't give him any more money, especially cuz he's still milking Gojo, such as with that Hidden Inventory movie no one asked for.
I kinda wanted a Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1 ending (lol) & then on to the supposed JJK part 2, esp cuz of this sketch here but Gege fumbled hard.
Wonder if Mappa could deliver but we'll see. I only care about GojoHime's 200% Hollow Purple now. Gege made me lose most interest I had for other things getting animated. Just thinking about that ending will mostly ruin my experience... 😞
I also hope the GojoHime fandom continues to thrive. We've always lived off of crumbs... Hope ppl continue to make headcanons, fanfics, fanart, etc... I wouldn't want ppl to leave such a beautiful ship with so much potential 🥺 (I've been thru this type of thing before with Bl3ach, so despite the disappointment, I've stuck around in my ship fandoms only. I don't engage with anything else in that series. Another beloved series of mine also ended terribly but unfortunately, the fandom kinda faded or became inactive cuz it's a manhwa 🥺; if it at least had a proper anime adaptation, then...).
Let's stay strong, GojoHime fam! 🥹❤️🩹

Hmmm reccs huh
-Kaichou Wa Maid Sama
-Special A
-Say I Love You (kinda didn't like this one, maybe you would)
Honestly my mind is blanking rn, I have shoujos in mind but they're not similar ENOUGH to where I'd recommend it if you want a recognizable gojohime dynamic

I have a headcanon that gojohime were paired in missions occasionally during their student days to where they bicker and annoyed each other but are actually a great team despite the hurdles 😅
Like Yaga most likely paired them bc he figured it would help their teamwork and maybe reduce the noise when they're around each other on campus, but that backfired in a way bc the noises got louder. Yet, their combined efforts make the missions go well even if those two are so opposite in their strats.
I'm also thinking that yaga probably sends them in missions together when they're being loud in campus with their bickering just so he can get some peace and quiet 😅😅

Hello!! I just wanna drop by and say i enjoyed your Utahime thoughts! And i wanna share s couple of my cents if that's alright? Here we gooo
So I'll start by saying that i have nothing against anyone that ships gjhm, that's the beauty of fandom and aus and stories. however, i have tried to see the appeal in a realistically speaking sense within the context of the actual story and i just cannot. for the life of me. Like it's pretty evident that Utahime does not like Gojo, and that he's very disrespectful towards her, however, there is the trust they share because of their roles as teachers and their ideology. it's not that Utahime is an unreasonable person that would turn down an offer that would put her students in harms way right? but the thing is, I don't think the story ever set up any sublots for them to like each other you know? And I don't wanna be a killjoy when i say this altho i probably am, but rather that it's just not something author has envisioned for them?
i do think Gojo likes Utahime, but just not in a romantic sense, and this sort of dynamic is really reminiscent of that i would find in siblings, where one is endlessly annoying and the other wants to strangle the younger. i think if the story went the other way instead of the one it went now, Utahime and Gojo should cooperate and be understanding of one another as in good colleagues/friends? but given how Utahime was written and her limited appears in the story, luckluster and underwhelming sometimes, it's nearly impossible, and it's mostly on gege because all these characters have so much potential yet he only utilizes them as plot devices, in short it's not about the characters unfortunately.
and frankly i can't blame people for creating aus, in fact go ahead, it's what makes shipping so great! like i love to ship gojo too, mostly with geto or sometimes shoko heck i even like to pair him with ocs or readers too! but idk why i just can't picture him and Utahime ever being in a relationship at least within the story like context. again i don't wanna undermine anyone who loves this ship, i am all supporting but i just wanted to get out how i see it. Hope this wasn't confusing!
I see what you're coming from, Anon! People have varying preferences/opinions, and that's the beauty of it! I know Gege wouldn't draw out a romance plot line because he stated he ONLY sees it for mutamiwa. I can be delusional with gjhm BUT realistically, I’d never trust Gege EVER to handle a romance plot line cuz it will probably end tragically lol.
Imma try to speak from gojohime pov and give some insight why I personally love the ship.
I think the gjhm fans that I've seen doesn't ship them just because its ability to be canon but instead the dynamic that gjhm offers. Like you said Utahime does hate him while Gojo seems to like her, and the most funny part for me is that Gojo genuinely believes her "annoyance" is a joke between them. The way I see it, it offers this a slowburn romantic comedy potential with Gojo learning to get over himself, step up, and have this massive realization of falling for Utahime. I had this convo with my moot ola and moot said how basically Gojo just went “shit, she CAN fix me!” with Utahime (Because ya know how Utahime is everything Gojo isn’t) thus he continues to bug her xD
There's just so much to "play" with their dynamics honestly if you take them out of the canon story. You'd think that a slow burn romance would be two people earning each other's trust then doing all the slowly loving/liking part, but since the story already has set up that gjhm have each other trust because they share the goal of teachers fostering the new generation of sorcerers plus their decade of familiarity with each other, it makes you think what's more to this slowburn romcom?
Well, the way I see it, their opposing teaching beliefs can help them learn from each other and be better teachers. Gojo will be forced out of his emotionally constipated ways. Utahime's strength in her patience and ability to connect with other will be highlighted. They can be such a fun colleagues to lovers slowburn romcom type of story ya know which I honestly find hilarious xD So yehhh thats basically why I ship these two fuckers :^)

if you don't mind me asking, who are your favorite romantic relationship's couples in books/ manga/ anime/movies/tv series (can be canon or non-canon)? Why you love them? Sorry if you've answered this question before......Thanks....
When I'm hyperfixating on a special interest, I find it really hard to remember anything that previously held my attention lol — so I'm struggling to answer this question, anon! I'm not a huge shipper usually, and I'm incredibly unenthusiastic about ship wars so I generally don't get involved.
That said, there are tons of ships I like in Jujutsu Kaisen. SatoSugu and Megumi are pretty much all I post about on here, but I've gained a few followers recently so it's probably worth saying because I've seen a lot of ship discourse elsewhere in the fandom recently:
If you're reading this and you really hate any of the ships I mention in this post, feel free to unfollow if it's that big a deal to you.
I'm really not interested in arguing about ships — because it just isn't that deep, I have limited free time to give to fandom and I'd rather spend it on things I love — so please don't get into that with me. However, if it's not a big deal to you, great to have you around! ♥
So, Jujutsu Kaisen ships I like below the cut:
Obviously, SatoSugu* has really captured my imagination. I don't think I've ever shipped anything as hard as I ship those two, but I talk about them all the time so I won't go into any more detail.
Other than that, I like GojoHime which I know is blasphemy for a SatoSugu shipper (I'm kidding, there's a bunch of us who ship both) but I don't think one has to preclude the other (after all, Gojo has two hands 👀). I've written two canonverse fics for GojoHime, and I've gently implied a former romantic relationship between SatoSugu in both.
I think lots of people read too deeply into the "she hates him" thing. Is he a bit of a dick to her? Absolutely, but treating Utahime like she's just a victim of the terrible Gojo Satoru takes away from her character — because she gives as good as she gets! I adore the contradiction in how she presents herself as this prim and proper miko, but she's actually a little firecracker who loses her temper easily and throws things at people and drinks heavily. Don't take that away from her, it's what makes her fun!
To me, it's obvious that their dynamic is designed to provide comic relief, but they trust each other when it comes down to it. In fact, I'd argue their bickering is evidence of that — if you're a polite person, you don't bicker with people you're not comfortable with. More than that, I like how Utahime is set up as a bit of a foil to Gojo. It's been said before, but there's a poetry in her technique making the 'strongest' stronger, especially considering that he goes to this character he's historically called weak to ask for help in the biggest fight of his life. Delicious!
Beyond that, I casually enjoy a bunch of other JJK ships. I don't actively seek out or create content for them, but I enjoy some of the art and fic when I come across it. Namely:
SaShiSu, in any configuration. SatoShoko is appealing to me for reasons I touched on in response to a question about Gojo's relationship with Shoko. SuguShoko is hot, simply because I think both characters are hot and they look hot together lol. I can even get behind poly SaShiSu!
OkkoFushi, because of Megumi's ~one line~ about respecting his senpai. It's essentially a crack ship, but I have the silliest little headcanon that Gojo brought Megumi to meet the first years sometime during JJK 0 and Megumi developed his first crush — see this adorable art for reference.
ItaFushi, ItaJun, and YutaMaki because they're all harmless and adorable.
GojoKen, because I love the potential for toxic angst.
KenTen, because "goodbye, old friend" — I'm sorry, what??? 👀
ShokoHime and ChosoYuki because they're all sexy as hell.
NobaMai, because they have sizzling chemistry.
KiraKari and MechaMiwa, because they're both canon as far as I'm concerned.
ShiuToji, because they're "business partners" — sure, guys!!
NanaGo, purely for the cute single dads art.
SukuGo, but only in a non-canon setting. They should have been besties in canon though 😔
Finally, the controversial one. Sukuna can stay the hell away from Megumi in canon (🥲) but I quite like SukuFushi in a specific AU setting — especially if Yuji and Sukuna are brothers in it! I have a soft spot for the Itadori twins, and I'm into the idea of big bully Sukuna meeting his match in his brat of a brother's quiet best friend with the deceptively sharp tongue (and knuckles).
However, I personally find that a lot of people mischaracterise Megumi in his ships and take away the aspects of his character that I really love (come on, he beat people the hell up at school!) so I'm not super into Megumi ships in general, despite the fact that he's my best boy.
As you can see, I'm really not that fussy about ships. In the past, I've definitely read fic featuring a side pairing that I'm not super into, but it won't stop me reading a good fic if there's a pairing I don't like in it. Sometimes, if it's well-written, I might even end up a fan!
Outside of JJK, there really isn't much. I don't follow many other animanga, but I think AkiAngel is a gorgeous ship and EreMika is cute although a bit bland. I think that's it though... Sorry this wasn't really what you asked for, but thank you for the question! ♥
*I just use the popular ship name, but I don't have any strong preferences when it comes to sexual dynamics so the name order isn't important to me — that goes for all the ships I like!

Okay, so as ItaFushi and SatoSugu shipper, I was curious about GojoHime ship. You are the first person (that I know of and follow) that ship them. Hope you don't mind if I ask you a few things. What do you think is Utahime's strengths and weaknesses? What do you love about GojoHime dynamic? What make you ship them?
Your ItaFushi fics are some of my favorite fics, that I love to re-read. Thanks for sharing them....
Thank you so much, I'm so happy you enjoyed them! ❤️❤️
As for Gojohime, I haven't thought of Utahime that much in depth as a character. I just think she's beautiful and has pretty eyes and a cute personality and is a great teacher! And I love her dynamic with Gojo because 1. I'm a sucker for teacher x teacher, it's sooo !!!! and 2. the teasing and banter and arguments gives veryyyy old married couple, but also it's shown time and time again that they trust each other unconditionally when it comes to the serious stuff and they care about their students above everything else.
And lastly, they're just really fucking hot together, and as a raging bisexual, I love me a sexy m/f ship. As simple as that.
I do get the appeal of satosugu objectively but their shippers have made me hate the ship because of how toxic they are. I just prefer gojohime in all aspects :)

just imagine teen gojohime dating and both of them likes sleeping beside each other but both of their dorms only got twin beds so they literally squish themselves but they dont mind since gojo is a great cuddler and utahime is like a fluffy pillow
make it a single bed >:3
Just imagine Shoko knocking and opening her door seeing Gojo's back lying side on her bed and asks "Hey idiot, where's the owner of this room?" Then Utahime sits up from his front ;_; bed hair and everything . Gojo didnt move, still asleep, sound.
Shoko couldnt see she was there all along bc he eats up all the space.

analyzing every gojohime moment in the manga 😈
this series will probably have more than one part because tumblr only lets me upload ten images per post </3
warning: there are disgustingly long paragraphs in here and delusions
chapter 32
utahime’s first introduction! akutami lets us know right off the bat that she thinks gojo is an idiot (so true).
chapter 32
i love the contrast between miwa and utahime’s reaction to gojo’s appearance.
chapter 33
NAH BC TELL ME WHY HE WENT OUT OF HIS WAY TO NOT GET HER ONE LMAOOOO!! when he traveled overseas to meet with yuta, he picked up the tribal protection charms and thought to himself, “let’s get enough for the kyoto students as a gift since i am such a great and caring teacher, after all. mmm, i should skip utahime to make her mad~” this guy puts way too much effort into getting on her nerves. his mind = utahime brainrot
chapter 33
she’s laughing at him here because he’s getting disciplined for being a lil shit. i wonder...what would he say if he saw her laughing at him like that?
chapter 33
this interaction between them is a little strange don’t you think? i feel like over the years he’s learned how to pick up her mood based on the way she’s acting towards him. you’re probably thinking, “well any person can figure out how a person’s feeling based on the way they’re talking or acting.” yes, that’s absolutely true, but it’s kind of different with this. she’s acting normal. utahime has a rather indifferent expression on her face and what she says is spoken in a calm tone, but gojo still asks her if she’s mad at him. it’s likely that he knows her well enough to be able to notice these subtle things. even if she wasn’t actually mad at him, he was being considerate for a split second, then he went and said, “of course. i didn’t do anything wrong and all.” what a guy LOLOL. to me, this implies that maybe he made her genuinely angry in the past to the point where he realized that he went too far, and thus decided to be more careful of her feelings. she has definitely gotten annoyed at him so many times after that so whenever she seems angry, he probably asks himself if he took it too far. i’m curious to see if he can pick up if she’s upset with something that’s not involving him. would he console her? how does gojo satoru console someone?
despite him always annoying her, she’s still courteous and brings him a cup of tea during their talk. she didn’t have to go out of her way to get tea for him but she did. that’s the kind of person utahime is. a kind and caring woman who would never put her students in danger. in the anime they were sitting far away and not facing each other like they’re doing in the manga. she also has her own tea cup. i think that little panel of her placing the cup down on the table and him picking it up to take a sip is a nice little detail. it just proves that her hating him most of the time isn’t actually pure hatred but annoyance because of his shenanigans and teasing.
chapter 33
i touched upon this a little bit in my previous post, but i wish to go more in depth about this panel. first of all, he ends the sentence with her name twice. two times too many, mr. gojo. i like how they can be serious with each other too LOL. i wish we got to see them talk about the traitors because they did figure it out together after all. does it always end in bickering? can they interact with each other like adults all the way through? somehow, i feel like that’s not possible when it comes to these two. furthermore, notice how gojo confides in utahime about his suspicions. from what we know, she is the first person he brought it up to. i mean, i guess he has to start investigating the schools and would need extra assistance to save time, but he could have done it himself if he really wanted to. by deciding to ask for her help we know that he thinks she’s trustworthy, smart, and strong enough to face whatever considerable risks this task may entail.
i didn’t point this out in my other posts but see how he makes a hand sign in the last panel when she throws the cup at him? gojo is manually activating his infinity. why though? about a year after the whole star plasma vessel incident happened, gojo develops the ability to keep his infinity up at all times by using the reversed curse technique to consistently heal himself to prevent exhaustion. this means that it really makes no difference whether he leaves it on or off. there are a few times where we can witness someone actually touching gojo. for example, yuuji giving him a hug. did he turn his infinity off, or was it able to deduce that yuuji was not a threat? the erasers and pencils shoko and geto threw at him during his demonstration of his new ability aren’t dangerous normally, but is it the speed that makes them dangerous? even if it did hit him, it wouldn’t hurt. how does the infinity know when to allow an incoming object to touch gojo? i believe it is up to gojo himself to let things touch him; his infinity restricts anything and anyone. some people say it could just be the fact that water is not dangerous to him, so therefore, he has to manually put his infinity up. i thought this was a reasonable explanation as to why he put up the hand sign when the tea was thrown at him, but then i realized that it couldn’t be. remember the second opening? it’s raining and everyone is carrying an umbrella, then it pans to gojo with a bouquet in his hand and rain drops slipping off his infinity. if he DID manually put his infinity up to prevent getting soaked then that implies that he chose to turn his infinity off. you can argue and say that jujutsu high is a safe place with students so there’s no need to have his infinity there, but do you remember when he stepped on the ants in front of gakuganji and yaga? the ants were perfectly fine after which insinuates that his infinity prevented his shoes from crushing the ants. he most likely had his infinity on during the baseball game even though he was in a safe environment. how does this long tangent relate back to utahime? well, it simply indicates that gojo trusts utahime so much to the point where he can be vulnerable around her. turning off his infinity symbolizes completely letting down his guard in a way.
how about what happens next? utahime throws the tea at him, he turns on his infinity to deflect it, and he responds with, “scary! hysteric women aren’t popular, you know!” why would he even say that LMAO?? utahime doesn’t even try to deny what he said either. she just hits him with the good old, “i am your senpai!” could it be that he’s trying to poke fun of her relationship status? maybe, maybe not. doesn’t he like people a lil crazy? he did say that all jujutsu sorcerers have to be a little crazy because they’re willing to put themselves in danger constantly.
chapter 0 p.1
i wonder who he’s thinking of when he said that. could it be utahime? it seems like he’s reminiscing or thinking about someone. he wears an amused expression on his face as he laughs - almost like he’s seen his fair share of how scary women can get :>>
chapter 34
the pattern behind gojo and utahime is called yagasuri “fletching,” a traditional japanese design. this design is inspired by arrow fletching. it's a lucky charm for weddings and other celebrations since it's based on the Japanese belief that an arrow shot once never comes back. brides were given kimonos with this pattern for good luck during the edo era (1603–1868) to ensure they would not have to return to their original family home. this pattern can have numerous meanings such as steadfastness or determination to achieve a goal, or a wish for the happiness of the bride. there is a belief that a bow and arrow represent the fight against evil. honestly, this meaning fits the narrative of the story. utahime and gojo are unearthing the traitors that are feeding intel to the curse users and cursed spirits. they are in the middle while the kyoto students surround them, which could mean that it’s their job as adults to protect these children from the grasps of evil slowly making itself more prominent. do you also notice that the arrows are pointed toward utahime from gojo? from all the images i’ve seen, the arrows are usually pointed downward. what could this mean? is gojo trying to protect her (in the future (?)) or does he have a big fat crush smh...
i think it’s a good time to mention utahime’s clothing. she’s wearing miko attire. miko are shrine maidens who were once thought to be shamans (you connecting the dots?). in their service to shrines, miko used to perform spirit possession and takusen (in which the possessed person acts as a "medium" (yorimashi) to communicate the divine will or message of that kami (god) or spirit; also included in the category of takusen is "dream revelation" (mukoku), in which a kami appears in a dream to communicate its will). this was back in the old days, of course. to become a miko back then (shaman), one needed to have potential. neurosis, hallucinations, odd behavior, and hysteria (HYSTERIA HELLO???) are some of the signs that a person is being called to shamanism. when a miko is communicating with a kami (god) or spirit by acting as a medium, she is in a trance-like state, and so she must learn techniques to control herself when this happens. chanting and dancing were used to accomplish this, so the girl was taught melodies and intonations that were used in songs, prayers, and magical formulas. all of this could give us insight about utahime’s technique and explains why she’s good at singing :) maybe she can’t control herself when she uses her technique which is why she isn’t shown using it because it should be used for dire situations. i imagine being possessed by a spirit or god must consume a lot of cursed energy. it makes sense that utahime and gakuganji wear traditional clothing. they’re the staff of jujutsu high’s kyoto branch. in chapter 0, kyoto is known as the sacred land of jujutsu. it’s more traditional compared to tokyo. if you want to learn more about miko, you should check out the wikipedia page!
chapter 34
i swear he tries to annoy her every chance he gets. i bet he sets a goal for himself to see how many times utahime lectures him about respecting his seniors every time he’s within the same vicinity as her. at least he called her utahime-sensei!!!
chapter 40
this isn’t even a gojohime moment tbh...i just wanted to share a pic of them sitting next to each other HEHE. why are they sitting next to each other anyway? it’s not like they have assigned seating.
----
that was so long and i apologize for the gargantuan paragraphs you guys had to read through. i’m writing this at 4 in the morning and i’m feeling borderline delirious so i apologize if there are any errors. i’ll edit this when i have time <3
the next part should come shortly.

man thank you so much for the new chapter! I was shaking throughout it the whole time seriously and I need to vent about this topic a little.
the thought of gojohime feels so wrong. the fact that that is your best friend's ex with whom she has a child with? going after that? the fact that that is your ex whom you got a son with's best friend? going after her? it's so fucking wrong. I really can't stomach the thought because I got experience with it (yup 😒) and because I think the best way for Satoru and YN to heal is to never have anything to do with each other at all except their son. if Utahime was a character that was completely separated from all the others, as in no connection to anyone, then I would have been fine with it. but since she's so intertwined with YN I find it so wrong for her to be with Gojo. it really leaves me with such a terrible taste in my mouth. reminds me of too many bad things :( but I respect your decision of course, I just wanted to get this off my chest a little ♥️ thank you for the chapter !

I get why people are more critical of utahime and gojo then toji and yn.
Utahime and yn are friends and business partners.
Gojo and toji are business rivals.
Gojohime feels like a double betrayal because of the friendship and and it being a gojo x yn fic and you know what i fucking hate gojo and yn together but yn went through so much shit because of gojo that it would be a loss if gojo and yn aren't together.
What's better or worse? To take back the ex that insulted and cheated on you or have that ex move on making you feel like stepping stone for them to be a better person.
Utahime should maybe thank yn if gojohime is endgame that gojo used yn as a training dummy to be a better partner for her.🤣

maybe it’s petty, but i hope gojohime isn’t endgame. like, after watching euphoria w the whole maddy cassie nate situation, i just can’t stomach the idea of dating a friend’s ex, especially one who didn’t treat them right. i’m glad that utahime can be there for him as a friend which he totally needs, but like… she’s y/n’s friend? it’s so heartbreaking to see how y/n basically has nobody (except Ian and Sachi) on her side and supporting her through her decisions. i’m contrast to gojo, she has so many people telling her that her feelings and actions are ridiculous and invalid. i normally like gen, but her talking to y/n like that this chapter was so unnecessary. ig she’s more of the confrontational than understanding type. as far as endgame for y/n i really don’t care who she ends up with, as long as she and sachi can finally find some sort of peace and happiness. that’s all i want for them. anyway this was a great chapter, and please don’t ever feel rushed to make new chapters, we’ll be here either way. take care saint!!

god.. honestly i feel so bad for mc! She doesn’t deserve this at all😩 imagine having the whole world antagonize you & your best friend getting chummy with your ex husband that causes your whole trauma. i don’t really care about who she endep up with, i just really want her to finally gain some peach in her life🥺

Utahime come on hold on for the ladies 😭 resist that stinky man!!!! Bros over hoes!!!!

hi saint! i hope you’re doing well, sy6 was amazing, and as much as i thought i would be super jealous about utahime’s friendship (or whatever it will become😟) with satoru (which i am a tiny bit cause wtf hime) i just feel like not being jealous about it will soothe the pain as the rest of the chapters come out :,) it’s kind of giving cassie calming herself down in the bathroom after crying and faking a smile in the mirror in s2… lol
hopefully utahime won’t be in her cassie era tho. i just can’t trust her after seeing u say that sy7 will break hearts ahhh. also i’m not ashamed to admit i also believe in gojoxyn endgame supremacy (even tho it’s not looking so good rn) but if we’re being realistic relationships love and marriage take time and as much as yn and satoru keep hurting each other; they just can’t seem to truly leave each other alone, even if it’s just coincidence that they are just always in each other’s vicinity, or at least that’s what i think and i could also be completely wrong, and the reason for that is simply just sachiro. but i also do love the angst i just have no idea if i will be ready for it
it also hurts seeing that document that satoru wrote… i feel like when he remembered that scene, he completely forgot about everything else and didn’t really think about the reasoning for why yn would hide sachi. and i’ll admit when you look at the situation especially after the way satoru worded it “she made me think my child was dead” it is a little wrong but i love my girl yn and i’m standing with her 😩
one last thing, i also can see that yn truly doesn’t want to be alone, everyone is making her out to seem the bad person bc of her mistakes but nobody wants to listen to her and i was rly hoping toji would this time around but i like that toji and gen are the two people who keep it totally real with her, it just hurts cause i love toji sm sigh
don’t think it’s necessary for me to speak more bc you guys are already good at writing down ur thoughts about certain situations/dynamics in the fic!! based on the sentiments abt gjhm, i’m just happy that i’m getting the reaction i wanted sdjsjs i guess people wouldn’t feel strongly about it if she wasn’t yn’s best friend, but she is, and that’s why it’s a heart wrenching sight for readers to see :)))

I hope you don't mind if I share a rant with you as a fellow Gojohime shipper
Isn't just a waste that Utahime, one of the few Support Sorcerer, the earliest character introduce as a teacher that Gojo explicitly trust on screen, one of the chosen three to support Gojo's final battle, having been her CT hype up to reveal a 200% Holloe Purple...
...only to make her character obsolute by making the only person she boost to be dead. Like... why can't we've ever seen her boost any other character? HECK, at least show her to freaking teach or lecture someone as a teacher!
I always love characters with support ability in shounen stories. I really do. It's easily one of those abilities where it can be easily brush off but their involvement can make the tiniest yet significant difference in a narrative.
So to have Utahime be just another victim of Gege's long list of characters he's done wrong is really unfortunate and now we only have the fandom to rely on to do her a little bit of justice
Exactly. She had so much potential as the main teacher of Kyoto, one of Gojo's few most trusted allies, one of only 3 adults whom he called by 1st name, one of only 3 people who helped Gojo achieve 200% Hollow Purple, the only character with buffing abilities, & so much potential lore as a shrine maiden...
Not to mention, she has a great character design! The big scar on her face (which we never got the backstory for! 😣), the big white bow in her hair (so cute!), her pink lipstick... She's beautiful! The most beautiful woman in JJK imo! (And her & Gojo look so good together! 💞 Their color palettes!)
I've said before that Utahime should've been the main adult female character of the series, just like Gojo's the main adult male. She would've been a great role model to the girls. Could've provided a sense of comfort to Gojo's students when he got sealed, shown helping & buffing others, investigating the traitor, etc... I said similar things in this rant on JJK's overall story a couple months ago.
Gojo & Utahime are two teachers who are total opposites, who banter & have different teaching styles, yet share the same values, trust each other implicitly & work together to achieve their goals. The strongest sorcerer & the one he calls "weak" yet she's the only one who can make him even stronger. He's all about solo work & she's all about teamwork. His modern views & her traditional ones may clash yet they seem to have found a common ground. So many things & yet, Gege couldn't show us how they came to get along despite their differences?! I wanted to see how they slowly built that trust! 😫
Imagine them talking it all out... I really wish we had gotten that flashback during the timeskip! They probably cleared things up between them! Gojo clearing up why he teases her so much yet entrusts her with important tasks! The poor woman must've been confused by this throughout the years, probably thought he hated her & was playing with her, hence she "hated" him back, & then her CT song Kinku by Akina Nakamori puts it all into perspective... 👀 I wanted to see Gojo asking Utahime for help once again! What'd he say?! 😫
So yeah, (don't wanna go on a whole rant, haha) she was severely underutilized 😮💨. Wasted character potential. Just like the rest of Gege's female cast (well, most of his cast in general, tbh. They're all very underdeveloped, even Gojo, whom we didn't even know if he had parents until recently & thru a freakin' fanbook) 😒
But yeah, it'll be up to the fandom to do Utahime justice 😤

I was rewatching JJK to see the subtle relationship dynamics we often skip because we're busy grasping the plots and I realized alot of things. Gojo IS an arse but he knows exactly what hes doing when he says or acts a certain way. He genuinely likes and respects Shoko for her skills and the person she is. He is very fond of Nanami (he respects him alot) Yuji, Nobara and Megumi. Its obvious in his actions. He respects Yaga even if he acts impudent at times. He might not trust Meimei but he likes her guts and her honesty. Especially obvious in the panel where she talks about money being a very valuable asset where Gojo thinks she's the most practical in her theory. Giving him the idea that he can pay her to recommend his students because thats how the system works in the jujutsu society and the higherups. Gojo is very observant and careful, more than he gets credit for. His relation with Utahime goes far deeper than just teasing. As opposed to the popular opinion, they dont really hate each other. Their bond is based on trust and familiarity and respect. You dont hate someone and then seem them as the only one you can trust with something. He's clearly very fond of her and they seem to know each other very well. We see alot of hints where he actively makes efforts to tease her knowing exactly what gets her riled up. He also seems to be very attentive of her everytime shes around, probably making sure he misses nothing that he cant embarrass her later for. I can see why people may ship them. Uta trusts his judgement enough to suspect even her own students, also acknowledges his power and strength when she asks him to enter the domain before anyone. Also the scene where he calls her, it was very cleverly animated, soft background music, his fond expression gushing over his students, the effort to show us the screen and the duration of the call, Utahime dressed up casual, it showed the ease with which they communicate showing that despite the very popular teasing trope, they do understand each other and might not tease each other all the time. Is there a chance of romance? Maybe. I dont think both of them are even aware of it within themselves. But if the writers choose to take that road I wont be surprised. That being said, the dynamics of JJK are pretty interesting if we think about it. Yuji and Megumi share a very strong connection since the moment we met. Everyone including us is forced to see Yuji as the most lovable human ever predicting how harrowing it will be when the time will come when Sukuna would be resurrected. A very clever move on Gege's part. Making us fall in love with the protagonist who technically has to be executed for the antagonist to perish. And Im not emotionally ready for that because I love the guy. The fact that there is a great chance Megumi would be the one to do this, their current dynamic is very heartbreaking.
YOU 👏 GET 👏 IT 👏 ANON👏
Gojo has really much a different approach in being affectionate to others, in a way of I- don’t-wanna-get-too-attached™ and I guess the teasing helps him channel that. I really appreciate that you pointed out on how he’s able to see the strengths of others even if he’s sometimes very prideful.
Same here. I’m usually skeptical with the boy teases girl trope, but, man, gojohime was really well executed for this. That trust is just there, you know. (CANON FACT: Utahime hates Gojo “most of the time” not “all that time” skskskks soo yeahhh it’s hard to believe she has deep rooted hate for him.) Despite Gojo hailing himself as The Strongest and tending to do things alone, he deadass just went to ask Utahime’s help when he consider her “weak.” Just like you said, Gojo is self-aware, and I think he knows that they’re some areas he lacks. He turned to Utahime because she has better emotional intelligence to find the traitor. Since Gojo is waaaayyyyy UP there, he utterly can’t get into the perspective of people beneath him (so he can be an arse like that and still manage to get away with it *cough* the higher-ups *cough*). This can be disadvantage that could make the jujutsu politics side do some secret plans behind him. But with Utahime who can get along with that side and is “below,” she can somehow fill in the gaps of the areas he lacks. I would say that Utahime is strong in the weak assets of Gojo, vice versa, which could mean that Gojo still has respect for her abilities. With this suggestive evidence they’re showing us, I want to believe that Gojo and Utahime had other times when they were in cahoots together ಠ_ಠ. There’s just so much potential for this ship as well as Utahime’s role in this series in playing a part in the jujutsu politics.
And, ah yes, that phone call that sent the gojohime nation into chaos. AND IT’S JUST MERE BREADCRUMBS. WE WERE PICKING OUT SO MUCH DETAILS AND JUST CREATING LOTS OF HCS FROM IT. IMAGINE WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF WE GET A WHOLE ASS BREAD.
The addition of that ed music made it kinda romantic lol and omg Gojo’s smile there was something else. A part of me believes that he’s just like that with everyone else butttttttt my gojohime braincell said no. Aha. For Gege, I have high doubts that he’d pull something out this ship(if he does I guess it would be really tragic), but, FOR anime writers, I totally agree that there could be :’D like adding more crumbs here and there idk idk. (OR MAYBE GEGE IS ACTUALLY WORKING W/ THE ANIME WRITERS TO ADDS THOSE DETAILS IN THERE)
Yep. Gege is really evil(affectionate/derogatory) for making us invest to dynamics and characters that has a questionable endgame. To be honest, at this point, I feel like favoring to any of the characters would leave you just crying in the end. I’m totally always bracing myself for that every time I read the series.
(SPOILER ALERT: LIKE WHAT THEY DID TO MY MAI AND MAKI. IM SCREECHING TILL THIS VERY DAY AND IM THOROUGHLY WRECKED)
As for itafushi dynamic, I feel like that could mean that if anyone is to survive by the end of series, there’s a high chance(???) that it’s Megumi.
EDIT: Addressing about Anon saying Gojo bribing Mei Mei, it seemed to be disagreeable. Someone actually had went a deep dive analysis for this.

You are right about Gojohime ship to be fair, i liked the way you explained how people view love both in real life and in fiction and especially in different cultures and this helped me understand some things better i must say, and it's highly unlikely for any minor character to be put in the story only for them to be a romantic subplot because that immediately translates lazy and bad writing. Let's say about Gojo though, giving him a romantic subplot would be so out of place for him and his whole story that was built in general so i think that things like these would need a better foundation don't you think so? the relationship between gojo and utahime is there more to serve as the showcase to what a lack of disrespect looks like and especially when it was going for a long time, given that utahime dislikes him this long, it's not uncommon for people to dislike each other but still work together and have familiarity, it's just that pushing that "norm" of romantic stereotype into canon is very lame and toxic in my opinion so Gege certanly didn't intend for anything like this when he created these tropes and relationships, given the fact that they have no evidence nor any romantic hints whatsoever like some fans like to headcanon. Saying that the ship has a great possibility to become canon at the end is laughable and only shows the lack of story reading skills and especially character behaviour and the implications of it.
The whole arc of Satoru is in some way a love story with Suguru. Beside what I think of gojohime, giving another romantic subplot to Satoru is just additional drama, won’t do anything for the story. So, I agree with you.
In my opinion, Utahime and Nanami's dynamic with Satoru is just to show how annoying he is, not to imply a romantic interest. I don't have a problem with random pairings like Yuki and Choso, but gojohime is problematic for all those reasons we talked about previously. Of course, people need to keep in mind that some pairings are just random headcanon for the fun and not to try to analyze those characters through those headcanon.
I only see Gege making gojohime canon with a gun in his head lol.
Thinking about this, there is no single scene where Utahime seems interested or thinking about Satoru. Same for him, he just think in Suguru lol
I even went back to Shibuya arc to check and she doesn’t even mention his name, she is just worried for the safety of her students
