Now that Gojo is unsealed, my gojohime heart is excited and scared but I'm positive that we will get some Utahime updates soon(please Akutami-senseiii) and so I've been trying to guess how could Akutami-sensei bring her back or use her in the story:

We saw in the last chapter that Sukuna is willing to teach Gojo about love. I'm hoping in the upcoming chapters when they will fight, we get a quick picture of her In Gojo's mind when Sukina starts talking about love and such.. Or, Gojo would actually jump in to correct him telling him his iconic "love is the most twisted curse" line and elaborating on it, with glimpses of all love forms he had experienced: from his childhood(maybe he knew his parents/clan loved him for his powers and strength), his high school days(his relationship with Shoko/Suguru), his students and finally Utahime. Uuuugh that would be soooo dooooope.

There's also something I've been thinking of, since Gojo kinda knew they were plotting against him and asked Yuta to look over the others, I'm hoping he actually told that to Utahime too, I have a feeling he did and she's probably either undercover getting Intel so she can help him or she was held captive.. Uuuuuughhh I'm pinning my hopes on the new season, it was stated that it will have a lot of anime original scenes, I'm hoping will get more of Utahime with Gojo specifically to showcase how deep their relationship is.

Her CT reveal as well!!! I know we been talking about how much teasing on prior chapters it was regarding her CT being a critical key for a major battle and it was!! I love how Akutami-sensei revelead it in association with Gojo's power. Another crumb for us!

also look at her !!!!! I love that he went with dancing instead of singing. She maybe doing some singing later but Utahime dancing and not speaking a single word on her latest chapters is giving ominous and sensual. I love it so much.

Hello! I read your last ask. I too noticed that the parallels between jjk and Naruto are many, Gege was blatantly inspired by Naruto and basically many relationship dynamics are almost the same. On Kakashi and Gojo, I see a Kakashi/Obito and Gojo/Geto parallel. On Kakarin and Gojohime I see less similarity, but maybe I am wrong. Still, hopes are certainly high for their rapprochement. Certainly jjk deals with these issues in a less childish way. I still prefer Kakashi to Gojo, but I am curious how jjk will go. I just hope Gege doesn't go on too long, otherwise I won't be able to finish it like what happened with Naruto, I couldn't even finish Shippuden.

The parallel I see in Kakarin and Gjhm is that she is always there for him, no mater what kind of crap he does or says. She will stand by his side, making stronger :)

And yeah I also prefer Kakashi, he's more humble and mature I guess.

not hate per se, but i've had complaints about tagging all ships from the start in my genshin ficlet compilation... when i was gonna throw them all into ao3 in one sitting.

also that one person who came to one of my Utahime Week fics, who was tagged as both gojohime and shokohime, to tell me "nooo shokohime are just friends yadda yadda" while praising gojohime as canon (i love it too, but it isn't). it was odd.

9. Do you write smut?

i have this thing when it comes to nsfw in general and smut in particular, aka up to certain point it makes me uncomfy but below that idgaf and even go like "nice, my ship having sex"... so.

most i can offer is barely-explicit stuff, and for fic specifically i see "depictions of character bein horny" and "pre- and post-sex" rather than actual smut.

10. Do you write crossovers?

not a lot, but the bsd+jjk thingie that came from rp and also birthed the dnd-ish au got me by the throat.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

as far as i know, nope.

as far as i know, nope (x2). though i do translate some rp solos to turn them into one-shots adding up stuff as well (i could just post them in spanish, but).

Gojo/Utahime

Don't Ship It

1. This has the exact same problem as Nanago for me, except maybe even worse lol. I love a good bickering couple but...this is Utahime genuinely disliking Gojo, and Gojo being oblivious to it. They are not on the same page and I don't think either of them truly respect the other? At least not a respect that would build an actual relationship. I don't see any chemistry between them. It gives very much "Hot man and hot woman stood next to each other, and they're about the same age."

2. There's never a moment between these two where I think they would ever be emotionally vulnerable with each other, or truly trust the other with something important. So I guess if there was ever a moment hinting that maybe the teasing and bickering was just something they did in a friend way rather than "I can't stand you/I'm oblivious" way that it is in canon. But as it currently stands you first have to convince me these two are friends before we even get to a shipping context.

3. God I think you have to ask a gojohime shipper directly, because I don't understand this ship at all. Unfortunately this one is just not for me either.

Yuta/Maki

Don't Ship It (lightly)

1. This one I do completely understand as a ship, at least much more than Gojo/Utahime. My only hang up is that I think Maki is a lesbian and NobaMaki is so superior to me 🤧 I probably also like InuOkko more than than this ship, so it just kinda falls to the bottom of the list even though I am a big fan of their friendship!

2. Hmm maybe more interaction between these two beyond JJK 0 would of convinced me on them.

3. I think this is a very classic girlboss x malewife ship lmao, which I usually do like so I do completely understand the appeal. They both clearly care for each other and have a good friendship, and have learned from each other too. I understand this ship completely, I just like their friendship a little more.

Shanks/Buggy

Ship It

1. Didn't really get this ship until we got the Roger/Oden backstory and we got to see them grow up together. This is the kind of bickering relationship I can believe lol, where they fight over stupid things but they do obviously care about each other, Shanks didn't go to Laugh Tale in order to watch over Buggy! Very cute childhood friends/crush kind of ship.

2. In hindsight I think it's kind of funny that when they reunite for the first time in decades at Marineford, they both kind of go back to being kids lmao, as if no time has passed. I'm looking forward to them meeting again where Buggy realizes that Shanks dreams of becoming the Pirate King, which that fight was what drove them apart in the first place.

3. Hmm I don't think so, this more of a casual ship for me, I just think it's cute lol.

Kenjaku/Takaba

Ship It

1. I think the first moment in the fight that piqued my interest with them was when Kenjaku was explaining to Takaba why the wifi joke doesn't work lmao. I think it's interesting where they both are playing the wrong roles in the beginning, Kenjaku isn't supposed to be the straight man and Takaba isn't meant to be the funny one. But when they switch roles.

2. Probably 100th time I've said this lol but JJK is so big on duos, but neither of these characters had another half, which is so interesting for both of them. Takaba is a comedian doing Manzai comedy, you literally can't do it by yourself. Kenjaku has maybe the most connections/relationships in the entire series, yet they don't have another half. They work off of each other incredibly well and help each other grow in their fight, and there really is undeniably a bond they share, I think highlighted in the scene where Takaba is crying about not wanting it to be over, and Kenjaku practically comforting him about it? Yeah, this ship hits.

3. It should be more popular 😭🤧

Zuko/Katara

Don't Ship It

1. Don't tell 12 year old me about this, they were a big Zutara shipper, but yeah it just doesn't do it for me anymore. Honestly most of the ships I don't really care for in ATLA? The romance plotlines are undeniably the weakest part of the show, funnily enough I like the Sokka ships (Zuko, Suki, Toph, Yue, truly the bachelor of the atla universe) lmao but that's it. I can't even really pinpoint why I don't like Zutara anymore, I think I just want my girl Katara to be single lol.

2. I think maybe if there was a bit more to them outside of trauma bonding? Idk I do still really like their friendship and love that they can open up to each other about similar struggles and the way they watch each other's backs in the last fight. But I think at the end of the day there probsbly would have just had to be more content of the two of them to fully sell me on it.

3. While I fell out with this ship I do understand why people like it, this feels like one of the few relationships where Katara isn't projected onto as a mom and I think they do have a relationship where they can talk about things that they feel they can't talk about with anyone else. Plus yeah they look cool together lol.

That makes sense. It does seem like some people try to force ships. I dont really care or pay it any mind. I do think he teases more people though. Examples are when him and Suguru are teasing Yaga because he’s gonna become the principal, when him and Suguru are playing basketball he teases Suguru, and him teasing ijichi. I feel like he does it to way more people though, but those are just some ideas. Whether or not you’d count that kind of stuff as teasing is up to you I guess. I don’t think it’s nefarious 99% of the time, I think he just likes having fun. I would consider it as teasing cause they’re all scenarios where he’s in on a joke that the other person isn’t in on. I do think it’s part of his personality. He’s just goofy and funny.

@chaosisbeauty23 Oh, yes, Utahime stans got fed this week. I was sure her CT must be related to some kind of Shinto ritual, because what would be the point of her daily attire. Even traditional clothes amp up her CT, which is absolutely 🔥🔥🔥( Gojo in his robes was additional bonus😁).

Well, it's not important anymore, since it was revealed, but was speculating in my head that maybe she was some kind of summoner? From what I read about miko's one thing stood out for me, they have a ritual in which they summon a god, inviting them to possess their body? Which I half-dismissed, because Ino already kinda did that. I couldn't decide, if based on that info, she could "summon" a curse or maybe a sorcerer of greater level than herself (that one time Yuki showed up to fight Kenjaku for the first time got me pretty delulu).

It did not occur to me, that she can just "summon" more power😆 It's so simple yet brilliant. I guess I was looking for something complicated, becauses Gege' CT's are sometimes sooo weird (Kirara for example).

Anyway, can't wait for all those fanfics horny ladies of gojohime fandom will create.

Im sorry that it had to come to this. It was really sad that you had to discontinue your fic because some people cannot understand your characters. I didn't really get all the hate and accusations bc we're still in the middle of the story, they talk as if it has ended already. We don't even know what will happen between the characters yet. I don't get those who say that 'you favor utahime too much' bc of the events that are taking place. Like, it has to happen right now, for the story to progress bc it's part of the plot. not bc your favor her, why can't they understand that. On the other hand those that say that you hate utahime or gojohime bc she's second love interest just makes no sense.

I'm really curious about the ending. Even if we won't know about how it will unfold, will you maybe share with us how sy ends? It's okay if you dont want to, I understand that you may feel uncomfortable sharing with us right now.

it’s okay. i’m already too tired and frustrated with my life outside of tumblr, and i guess i’ve reached my limit where i’m just exhausted coming here to see all the repetitive sy asks i’ve been receiving when i should be having fun interacting w u guys. i tried to be patient as much as i can. have tried to commit myself writing a series with so many chapters and such huge word count. but as of the moment, i don’t think readers are still matching the energy and excitement i have for the series, so… 🥹 i love the visions i have for this fic too much that i can’t let it go and will continue to write for myself and a few people i trust. i never leave my series unfinished and this is the first time i had to. not because i want to, but because of reasons i’m sure you all know.

this interaction between them is a little strange don’t you think?   i feel like over the years he’s learned how to pick up her mood based on the way she’s acting towards him.  you’re probably thinking, “well any person can figure out how a person’s feeling based on the way they’re talking or acting.”  yes, that’s absolutely true, but it’s kind of different with this.  she’s acting normal.  utahime has a rather indifferent expression on her face and what she says is spoken in a calm tone, but gojo still asks her if she’s mad at him.  it’s likely that he knows her well enough to be able to notice these subtle things.  even if she wasn’t actually mad at him, he was being considerate for a split second, then he went and said, “of course.  i didn’t do anything wrong and all.”  what a guy LOLOL.  to me, this implies that maybe he made her genuinely angry in the past to the point where he realized that he went too far, and thus decided to be more careful of her feelings.  she has definitely gotten annoyed at him so many times after that so whenever she seems angry, he probably asks himself if he took it too far.  i’m curious to see if he can pick up if she’s upset with something that’s not involving him.  would he console her?  how does gojo satoru console someone?  

despite him always annoying her, she’s still courteous and brings him a cup of tea during their talk.  she didn’t have to go out of her way to get tea for him but she did.  that’s the kind of person utahime is.  a kind and caring woman who would never put her students in danger.  in the anime they were sitting far away and not facing each other like they’re doing in the manga.  she also has her own tea cup.  i think that little panel of her placing the cup down on the table and him picking it up to take a sip is a nice little detail.  it just proves that her hating him most of the time isn’t actually pure hatred but annoyance because of his shenanigans and teasing.

chapter 33

i touched upon this a little bit in my previous post, but i wish to go more in depth about this panel.  first of all, he ends the sentence with her name twice.  two times too many, mr. gojo.  i like how they can be serious with each other too LOL.  i wish we got to see them talk about the traitors because they did figure it out together after all.  does it always end in bickering?  can they interact with each other like adults all the way through?  somehow, i feel like that’s not possible when it comes to these two.  furthermore, notice how gojo confides in utahime about his suspicions.  from what we know, she is the first person he brought it up to.  i mean, i guess he has to start investigating the schools and would need extra assistance to save time, but he could have done it himself if he really wanted to.  by deciding to ask for her help we know that he thinks she’s trustworthy, smart, and strong enough to face whatever considerable risks this task may entail.  

i didn’t point this out in my other posts but see how he makes a hand sign in the last panel when she throws the cup at him?  gojo is manually activating his infinity.  why though?  about a year after the whole star plasma vessel incident happened, gojo develops the ability to keep his infinity up at all times by using the reversed curse technique to consistently heal himself to prevent exhaustion.  this means that it really makes no difference whether he leaves it on or off.  there are a few times where we can witness someone actually touching gojo.  for example, yuuji giving him a hug.  did he turn his infinity off, or was it able to deduce that yuuji was not a threat?  the erasers and pencils shoko and geto threw at him during his demonstration of his new ability aren’t dangerous normally, but is it the speed that makes them dangerous?  even if it did hit him, it wouldn’t hurt.  how does the infinity know when to allow an incoming object to touch gojo?  i believe it is up to gojo himself to let things touch him; his infinity restricts anything and anyone.  some people say it could just be the fact that water is not dangerous to him, so therefore, he has to manually put his infinity up.  i thought this was a reasonable explanation as to why he put up the hand sign when the tea was thrown at him, but then i realized that it couldn’t be.  remember the second opening?  it’s raining and everyone is carrying an umbrella, then it pans to gojo with a bouquet in his hand and rain drops slipping off his infinity.  if he DID manually put his infinity up to prevent getting soaked then that implies that he chose to turn his infinity off.  you can argue and say that jujutsu high is a safe place with students so there’s no need to have his infinity there, but do you remember when he stepped on the ants in front of gakuganji and yaga?  the ants were perfectly fine after which insinuates that his infinity prevented his shoes from crushing the ants.  he most likely had his infinity on during the baseball game even though he was in a safe environment.  how does this long tangent relate back to utahime?  well, it simply indicates that gojo trusts utahime so much to the point where he can be vulnerable around her.  turning off his infinity symbolizes completely letting down his guard  in a way.  

how about what happens next?  utahime throws the tea at him, he turns on his infinity to deflect it, and he responds with, “scary!  hysteric women aren’t popular, you know!”  why would he even say that LMAO??  utahime doesn’t even try to deny what he said either.  she just hits him with the good old, “i am your senpai!”  could it be that he’s trying to poke fun of her relationship status?  maybe, maybe not.  doesn’t he like people a lil crazy?  he did say that all jujutsu sorcerers have to be a little crazy because they’re willing to put themselves in danger constantly.

i wonder who he’s thinking of when he said that.  could it be utahime?  it seems like he’s reminiscing or thinking about someone.  he wears an amused expression on his face as he laughs - almost like he’s seen his fair share of how scary women can get :>>

the pattern behind gojo and utahime is called yagasuri “fletching,” a traditional japanese design.  this design is inspired by arrow fletching.  it's a lucky charm for weddings and other celebrations since it's based on the Japanese belief that an arrow shot once never comes back.  brides were given kimonos with this pattern for good luck during the edo era (1603–1868) to ensure they would not have to return to their original family home.  this pattern can have numerous meanings such as steadfastness or determination to achieve a goal, or a wish for the happiness of the bride.  there is a belief that a bow and arrow represent the fight against evil.  honestly, this meaning fits the narrative of the story.  utahime and gojo are unearthing the traitors that are feeding intel to the curse users and cursed spirits.  they are in the middle while the kyoto students surround them, which could mean that it’s their job as adults to protect these children from the grasps of evil slowly making itself more prominent.  do you also notice that the arrows are pointed toward utahime from gojo?  from all the images i’ve seen, the arrows are usually pointed downward.  what could this mean?  is gojo trying to protect her (in the future (?)) or does he have a big fat crush smh...

i think it’s a good time to mention utahime’s clothing.  she’s wearing miko attire.  miko are shrine maidens who were once thought to be shamans (you connecting the dots?).  in their service to shrines, miko used to perform spirit possession and takusen (in which the possessed person acts as a "medium" (yorimashi) to communicate the divine will or message of that kami (god) or spirit; also included in the category of takusen is "dream revelation" (mukoku), in which a kami appears in a dream to communicate its will).  this was back in the old days, of course.  to become a miko back then (shaman), one needed to have potential.  neurosis, hallucinations, odd behavior, and hysteria (HYSTERIA HELLO???) are some of the signs that a person is being called to shamanism.  when a miko is communicating with a kami (god) or spirit by acting as a medium, she is in a trance-like state, and so she must learn techniques to control herself when this happens.  chanting and dancing were used to accomplish this, so the girl was taught melodies and intonations that were used in songs, prayers, and magical formulas.  all of this could give us insight about utahime’s technique and explains why she’s good at singing :)  maybe she can’t control herself when she uses her technique which is why she isn’t shown using it because it should be used for dire situations.  i imagine being possessed by a spirit or god must consume a lot of cursed energy.  it makes sense that utahime and gakuganji wear traditional clothing.  they’re the staff of jujutsu high’s kyoto branch.  in chapter 0, kyoto is known as the sacred land of jujutsu.  it’s more traditional compared to tokyo.  if you want to learn more about miko, you should check out the wikipedia page!

I was rewatching JJK to see the subtle relationship dynamics we often skip because we're busy grasping the plots and I realized alot of things. Gojo IS an arse but he knows exactly what hes doing when he says or acts a certain way. He genuinely likes and respects Shoko for her skills and the person she is. He is very fond of Nanami (he respects him alot) Yuji, Nobara and Megumi. Its obvious in his actions. He respects Yaga even if he acts impudent at times. He might not trust Meimei but he likes her guts and her honesty. Especially obvious in the panel where she talks about money being a very valuable asset where Gojo thinks she's the most practical in her theory. Giving him the idea that he can pay her to recommend his students because thats how the system works in the jujutsu society and the higherups. Gojo is very observant and careful, more than he gets credit for. His relation with Utahime goes far deeper than just teasing. As opposed to the popular opinion, they dont really hate each other. Their bond is based on trust and familiarity and respect. You dont hate someone and then seem them as the only one you can trust with something. He's clearly very fond of her and they seem to know each other very well. We see alot of hints where he actively makes efforts to tease her knowing exactly what gets her riled up. He also seems to be very attentive of her everytime shes around, probably making sure he misses nothing that he cant embarrass her later for. I can see why people may ship them. Uta trusts his judgement enough to suspect even her own students, also acknowledges his power and strength when she asks him to enter the domain before anyone. Also the scene where he calls her, it was very cleverly animated, soft background music, his fond expression gushing over his students, the effort to show us the screen and the duration of the call, Utahime dressed up casual, it showed the ease with which they communicate showing that despite the very popular teasing trope, they do understand each other and might not tease each other all the time. Is there a chance of romance? Maybe. I dont think both of them are even aware of it within themselves. But if the writers choose to take that road I wont be surprised. That being said, the dynamics of JJK are pretty interesting if we think about it. Yuji and Megumi share a very strong connection since the moment we met. Everyone including us is forced to see Yuji as the most lovable human ever predicting how harrowing it will be when the time will come when Sukuna would be resurrected. A very clever move on Gege's part. Making us fall in love with the protagonist who technically has to be executed for the antagonist to perish. And Im not emotionally ready for that because I love the guy. The fact that there is a great chance Megumi would be the one to do this, their current dynamic is very heartbreaking.

Gojo has really much a different approach in being affectionate to others, in a way of I- don’t-wanna-get-too-attached™ and I guess the teasing helps him channel that. I really appreciate that you pointed out on how he’s able to see the strengths of others even if he’s sometimes very prideful.

Same here. I’m usually skeptical with the boy teases girl trope, but, man, gojohime was really well executed for this. That trust is just there, you know. (CANON FACT: Utahime hates Gojo “most of the time” not “all that time” skskskks soo yeahhh it’s hard to believe she has deep rooted hate for him.) Despite Gojo hailing himself as The Strongest and tending to do things alone, he deadass just went to ask Utahime’s help when he consider her “weak.” Just like you said, Gojo is self-aware, and I think he knows that they’re some areas he lacks. He turned to Utahime because she has better emotional intelligence to find the traitor. Since Gojo is waaaayyyyy UP there, he utterly can’t get into the perspective of people beneath him (so he can be an arse like that and still manage to get away with it *cough* the higher-ups *cough*). This can be disadvantage that could make the jujutsu politics side do some secret plans behind him. But with Utahime who can get along with that side and is “below,” she can somehow fill in the gaps of the areas he lacks. I would say that Utahime is strong in the weak assets of Gojo, vice versa, which could mean that Gojo still has respect for her abilities. With this suggestive evidence they’re showing us, I want to believe that Gojo and Utahime had other times when they were in cahoots together ಠ_ಠ. There’s just so much potential for this ship as well as Utahime’s role in this series in playing a part in the jujutsu politics.

And, ah yes, that phone call that sent the gojohime nation into chaos. AND IT’S JUST MERE BREADCRUMBS. WE WERE PICKING OUT SO MUCH DETAILS AND JUST CREATING LOTS OF HCS FROM IT. IMAGINE WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF WE GET A WHOLE ASS BREAD.

The addition of that ed music made it kinda romantic lol and omg Gojo’s smile there was something else. A part of me believes that he’s just like that with everyone else butttttttt my gojohime braincell said no. Aha. For Gege, I have high doubts that he’d pull something out this ship(if he does I guess it would be really tragic), but, FOR anime writers, I totally agree that there could be :’D like adding more crumbs here and there idk idk. (OR MAYBE GEGE IS ACTUALLY WORKING W/ THE ANIME WRITERS TO ADDS THOSE DETAILS IN THERE)

Yep. Gege is really evil(affectionate/derogatory) for making us invest to dynamics and characters that has a questionable endgame. To be honest, at this point, I feel like favoring to any of the characters would leave you just crying in the end. I’m totally always bracing myself for that every time I read the series.

And it’s not just about megumiki. It’s gojohime and any ship that the hive mind in general doesn’t like.

Instead of respecting each other's ships, it's become about how this ship is toxic and that ship is toxic too and you shouldn't like it and how wrong it is that you like it.

It’s extremely arrogant to think that you can police what others like or don’t like because you think people don’t understand the implications of a ship. You see that a lot in this fandom.

If I may... it's not that megumiki doesn't have its fair share of "toxic". I personally head canon Megumi and Tsumiki probably do have an "unhealthy" attachment to each other. They were abandoned by their parents, after all. Each other is all they had.

As you say, they're also not blood related. So even if they call each other "brother" and "sister", they are choosing those labels for themselves. They could easily call each other "childhood friends". I personally think it's sweet they think of each other as siblings because it means its a very soulful bond that goes beyond blood.

They chose each other.

I like to think Gege was very intentional about them not being blood related.

But go ahead and explain that to a keyboard warrior who is only interested in standing on their moral high horse saying the kids should be protected from incest without actually understanding what it entails to actually protect kids who are victims of incest.

By the way, I've had to work with children who suffered from abuse and neglect, including incest, in my professional career as a social worker. It was heartbreaking. My shipping megumiki has absolutely nothing to do with those children.

megumiki has become my self-insert, self-indulgent ship and I decided not to care what anyone else thinks about it.

And that's what shipping is about anyways. It's about how a ship moves your soul. It's not about the logic behind the ship.

In all honesty, takes about how a ship in jjk is toxic because of whatever logical reasons someone can come up with are so stupid to me because when we ship, we don't ship with our brain, we ship with our heart.

We also ship according to our psychoemotional level of maturity. So to judge someone for shipping something toxic when they are not able to see that yet for themselves is also arrogant and downright mean.

The irony is always when people denouncing other ships they don't like for "logical reasons", ship a pairing and clearly very much LOVE the pairing with their heart, and then use their brain to justify why they like the ship.

There's nothing wrong with loving a ship unless you're putting down other ships.

What's the point honestly? To feel better about yourself? 🤷🏻‍♀️ I guess it's kind of relatable.

You know what pisses me off the most? It's when fans say that if you ship a hetero ship and say you don't see a particular pairing as gay, it's because you're homophobic.
