#so there's this person on twitter who is like an infamous drama starter and got a whole forum shut down once #and they wrote this (different) book that's one of the greatest so bad it's good things i've ever read #a few great things that happen in that:#characters get in a car crash and flee on foot. later it's casually mentioned one character had both her legs amputated 'due to fractures'#the character pretending to be american by wearing maga hats that have spy gear built into them #the spy gear in question is an alarm that blares if someone lies in their vicinity #'stuff protocol ' said the queen. 'i'm getting hammered tonight'#the chapter where the prime minister is trying to watch the news so she keeps wandering into bars and tv shops and getting kicked out #the dragon that's casually described as 'about the size of 1000 elephants'#the dragon that's a 'dog dragon hybrid with a chihuahua body and a giant dragon head'#the dragon that's owner punched it in the face and only lets people approach if they 'do the iconic royal wave'#the characters being described as 'the short one' 'the guy with the beard' etc #but there being a lengthy detailed description of the characters in harry potter #'apparently a dragon had burnt essex to cinders in a matter of minutes'#anyways i found out they also wrote (a political parody of indiana jones???) for this book of kids short stories years ago #and you know. we needed to know #so it took me like 4 months to track this precious lost media down #which was very worth it because it turns out it's full of many other iconic gems like CELLAR HELL by Elizabeth Elgie (12)

Merlin is kind of like a dog to Arthur. I mean this in all of the good and all of the bad ways.

#but that is mostly bad. on account of the classism/general dehumanization #idk if it’s subtle to other ppl 😭 but he just doesn’t see Merlin as a full person with an equally (or moreso) complex life and mind #he also cares for him deeply simultaneously. hence the dog-like treatment #and that is majorly because he sees Merlin as a ‘simple servant’#b/c even if Merlin didn’t have all the ✨ magic ✨ going on… he is still a complex person deserving of dignity #Arthur literally won’t make the mental jump into that because Merlin hasn’t ‘proven’ that he’s ‘more’ than a servant #he doesn’t get promoted to advisor at the round table whilst everyone Arthur deemed worthy was promoted to the knighthood and Gwen to queen #Arthur still doesn’t see him as a very good physician. he sees Merlin’s worth/place as a human being as… someone there to serve him (a king)#which also implies that Arthur sees himself worthy of being served and of the excess power + wealth he has #(ie. Arthur’s skill as a king and warrior justify a disproportionately higher pay that comes thru taxation of the poor)#at the same time he cares deeply for Merlin. he certainly doesn’t want Merlin to die (barring 1x01 and 5x13). but #there’s such a severe lack of *respect* for Merlin. such a simplification of Merlin that Arthur is happy to continue imagining.#like lbr. that’s the real reason he never figured Merlin out — the image he made and kept of a ‘simple-minded fool’#no matter how wise or brave he was. no matter how many times he saved Arthur’s life.#merlin emrys #arthur critical #bbc merlin

as part of the getting-worse-before-it-gets-better portion of aziraphale and crowley's season 3 relationship arc we NEED a desperate "i love you" from aziraphale met with a hissed, spiteful, and quickly regretted "i forgive you" from crowley

#good omens #ineffable divorce #aziracrow #ineffable husbands #i really want things to get as bad as they can possibly get before their relationship #is saved and actualized if you couldn't tell.#like yes i want them to make up and have a big fabulous kiss together sheltered under a canopy in the rain #and then spend the rest of their eternity together on earth in blissful love #but i also want them to be really unstable for a bit #spiteful crowley. aziraphale blurting out a confession no buildup no apology #because he thinks that'll fix everything.#more miscommunication to give more weight to their final climactic episode where they actually work things out.#crowley has to give him a lift and they start arguing and he blasts queen in the bentley #and takes them careening down oxford street at 120 miles per hour #grinning and laughing manically while aziraphale screams and hangs onto the baby basket he's holding #containing the second coming of jesus for dear life.#crowley just terrifying him to spite him.#i want them to do and say fucked up things to each other! do you get it?

After rewatching Trolls World Tour, I just realized the relevance of the high five at the start of Trolls Band Together <3

It means they have a strong connection!

On the second movie he failed to talk with Poppy about their relationship and then she called him a friend. He got so caught up on that, that they failed to make a connection and having a good high five.

Failing miserably.

Just look at him, he feels so bad

Also I love how easy the confession was at the end

Just so casual

"and I love that we are different"

"And I love you Queen Poppy" the way he says it, so simple yet clear

"And I love you too Branch" and Poppy and her little smile, that was the smile she used to give Creek before the whole fall out, she´s now smitten with Branch :) and she loves him too, what else can you ask?

the love was always there, they just needed to have a better connection, you know, the whole thing where she wasn't actually listening to anybody because she was too focused trying to be a good queen

Also I love seeing Branch happy, it´s so tender

And they finally have their perfect high five!
