Doctor Visit
Relationship: Jay Halstead, Will Halstead and Disabled  fem!reader Halstead sibling, along with Manstead if you squint.
Summary: Set after 7x02 of Chicago Fire, you are taken to Chicago Med after trying to help your father get Ronnie out of the apartment during a massive fire. And see your oldest brother there.
Word Count: 1.2k
Warnings: Aftermath of an apartment fire
Read Part 1Â
Soon you arrive at Med and Sylvie and the other paramedic-Emily, as she had introduced herself- is wheeling you in, calling out your stats, vitals, and why youâre there. Jay trailing after you. You see him wave to someone, but you canât see who it is. Someone directs the gurney holding you into a treatment room. A female doctor with long brown hair moves into the room. She introduces herself as Dr. Manning. They transfer you to the bed, rolling the backboard out from underneath you.
âNat, you may want to loop in neurology with this case.â The familiar red hair catches your attention before your eyes settle on Willâs face. You sigh. Your red-headed brother.Â
âDo you want to take this case, Dr. Halstead?â The woman-Nat asks him and you can even hear the edge in her voice. Your eyes find Jay, whoâs standing just beyond Willâs shoulders. Your eyebrows are drawn upward, but your older brother shakes his head. Your oldest brother just shakes his own head and responds in a calm voice, âLove to, but I canât.â
The doctor scoffs, taking your blood pressure. âAnd why is that?â
âSheâs my baby sister. And you know the hospitalâs policy about treating family.â Will explains, walking into the small room. He takes your left hand, uncurling it as Jay had done in the ambulance. Only instead of dropping it as your older brother had done, Will starts to fidget with it. It was something he had done since you were a baby, so your left hand wouldnât curl up as much. You try to take your hand back with a glare at him, but he isnât letting you. He continues to play with your hand. The information seems to make Dr. Manning falter in her movements. She glances up from where sheâs listening to your heart with her stethoscope.
âWhy do I need to loop in neurology?â She asks. At this you pull your oxygen mask down, âI have cerebral palsy. Diagnosed when I was a baby. Itâs a neurological condition. But smoke inhalation and a cut on my forehead wonât affect that.âÂ
âYou donât know that,â Jay steps into the treatment room with his arms folded over his chest, âNat, humor him? Please,âÂ
You roll your eyes, knowing that Jay only stepped in because he thought a fight was brewing between you and Will. âYou know, Iâm twenty-three years old. I can make my own medical decisions.â
You say this because not many people with cerebral palsy can advocate for themselves. Not because they werenât capable mentally, but because they couldnât actually move. A good portion of people with cerebral palsy were confined to a wheelchair and could barely move their mouths.Â
âDonât be stubborn. When was the last time you saw your neurologist? If it was recently, then Iâll drop it.â Will tells you and you feel yourself frown at your oldest brother as you say nothing. Not willing to let him win. He stares back, not willing to back down either. Stubbornness is something you had in common with both of your brothers.Â
You hear Jay sigh loudly. Heâs pinching the bridge of his nose when you finally break the staring contest with Will.Â
âI know you two have your own problems to work through, but can you please try not to kill each other right now?â He asks, trying to stop an already brewing fight.Â
His question is met with silence and he looks over your head. Out of the corner of your eye, you see Dr. Manning shift uncomfortably. You forgot she was even there. He sighs, âNatalie. Iâm sorry to leave you with these two, but Iâm going to go check on Dad.â
Then he walks away calling out for a Dr. Choi, who you assume is your fatherâs doctor. Dr. Manning moves again so now sheâs standing in between you and Will. âCan I ask our neurology department for a quick consult?âÂ
Will is already starting to protest, but your doctor holds up a hand. âBoth of your older brothers have made their opinion clear. But as you said, youâre twenty-three and coherent and lucid enough to make your own decisions so the decision is ultimately up to you.âÂ
You immediately want to refuse. But then you catch the look in your eldest brotherâs eye. You may be mad and hurt by Will. You may even not be talking to him right now. But he is still your brother and right now he is worried about you. You sigh, âYou can ask neurology for a consult.â
Then you turn your head, locking eyes with Will. He has your dadâs eyes while you and Jay share your motherâs. You shove a finger against his chest, âBut I want it on record that I think itâll be useless.âÂ
âItâs on record,âÂ
âGreat. Iâll page Dr. Abrams. Will, can I speak to you for a second?â Dr. Manning asks and Will nods with a sigh before he squeezes your left foot gently. âIâll be back, okay?âÂ
And then he follows your doctor out the door.Â
âSo is she the reason you have a specialty in neurology?â Natalie asks as she glances down at her tablet and when they pass the main desk, she picks up a clipboard and hands it to him. âYou want to go ahead and get started filling out her information for her? Iâm assuming you know most of it.â
âI know thereâs no cure. And even if there was, I donât think sheâd even take it. Itâs a part of her by now. But I wanted to know. More about it. What I and Jay could do to help improve her life. I actually wrote my dissertation on cerebral palsy.âÂ
âAnd me not knowing you had a sister when I was your fiance aside, why did it seem like she would rather do anything than talk to you?â Natalie questions him.Â
Will sighs heavily running a hand through his hair, âProbably because I havenât been the best big brother since my mom died. Instead of coming home when she passed, I ran and continued running until a few years ago. And even then I still didn't know how to approach her. Or even now.â
âSheâs really pretty. She looks like you but with Jayâs eyes.â
âItâs the red hair. She looks like my mom when she was younger-in her wedding photos,â Will tells her, âWhereas Jay and I have one feature from my mother and more features from my father.â
âLook, I would try to talk to her. Itâs clear you care a lot about her. Explain that to her and that you didnât handle your grief in the right way. Have Jay there to help.â
âIâm afraid the silence and distance have already done too much damage.â He sighs. Natalie pats his arm with a sympathetic smile, âIf there is too much damage then what is the damage in trying? Now, I have another patient to check on and Iâll page Abrams on the way. Just try, Will.â

Hello there, lovely, awesome person đ. Do you have any examples of a whumpee being taken care of by their sibling? Cheers, big ears. (Just to clarify, I don't mean you actually have big ears by the way. It's just a saying where I'm from đ. And anyway, look at elephants. They have big ears and they're simply adorable.) Enjoy the rest of your day! Peace out.
Hey nonny.

Platonithon Day 1: Polaroid | Spencer Reid x Reader Platonic
WC: 3913
A/N: Happy Platonithon! I promise not all fics will be this long and I wonât only be writing for CM. That being said, I 100% wrote this fic because I wanted to express my feelings about Spencerâs sweater vest in 7x01 and I was also intrigued by Angry!Spencer in 7x02.Â
Warnings: angst (although this fic is mostly fluff)
âHey (y/n), itâs me, Spencer. Iâm being coerced to go out for drinks with the team. If you get out of class and want to join us, it would make Garciaâs day. It would, uh, make my day too. Things were kind of rough this week, I missed you. Stay safe, love you.â
You were able to listen to the message once your last student left the classroom, relieved to hear Spencerâs voice after itâs absence for four days. You put on your sweater and drove to the bar the team frequented, crossing the busy room to the table they were all sitting at. Garciaâs face lit up when she saw you.
âHey Garcia. Hi everyone,â you sat down next to Penelope, putting a comforting hand on her shoulder.
â(y/n), you beautiful, sweater-clad, angel of normalcy,â Garcia bubbled, leaning into your embrace.
âI think youâre the only group of people I can be compared to and called normal,â your quip was met with dulled laughter, cluing you in that Spencer had understated the weight of the week in his voicemail, âwhereâs Spencer?â
âMorganâs helping him âtalk to girlsâ,â Emily smirked, gesturing over to where the two men were standing. You rolled your eyes, âugh, doesnât Derek know Spence is insufferable when he talks to girls?â
âAnd here I thought (y/n) was the only one who didnât find Reid annoying every now and then. How long have you lived together?â
âLong enough to know that I hate his stupid puppy-dog eyes that he gets whenever heâs talking to a new girl. Itâs disgusting. I love him enough that Iâm not about to move out, but I shouldnât have to suffer because heâs irresistible. Hey, I have some extra tomato plants at the lab, would any of you want them?â
âArenât you using them for genetic testing?â JJâs question was tentative, the suspicion evident in all 3 womenâs faces.
âOh! No, not these ones. I had to test for growing conditions so I didnât waste time accidentally killing the ones I do mess with the genetics of. I would never offer genetically weird tomatoes to my favorite god-nephew.â
âIs Henry your god-nephew because because Spencer considers you his sister or because Iâm your best friend?â Penelopeâs question was smug.
âBoth, that makes me a double god-aunt,â you shrugged.
âSo if something happens to Will and I, and Garcia and Spence, then sure, (y/n) would be next to take care of Henry.â
âTaking care of a kid is just like taking care of plants, right?â you grinned as the other women shook their heads.
â(y/n), youâre here! How was your class?â Spencer bounced over with nervous energy to your side, not acting at all like he just spent a week hunting a serial killer.
âAs good as it can be when youâre teaching college kids how to extract DNA from strawberries,â you rolled your eyes with a smile, reaching up to fix his slightly askew tie, âhowâs it going with the ladies?â
Spencer got visibly flustered, stumbling over his words as he tried to explain how his night was going, âdid you, um, want a drink? Iâll go get you one,â he finally said, rushing off towards the bar. You snickered, watching him walk away.
âSo whoâs going to tell me what happened to him?â you asked, casually addressing the bruising that was on your best friendâs face as you turned back to the agents you were sitting with.
âFight with an unsub. It wasnât as bad as it looks,â JJ said.
âOh good. As insufferable as googly-eye Spencer is, Iâd prefer that over him suffering from night terrors,â you glanced over to where he was standing, showing a girl at the bar a magic trick while he waited for your drink, âif I didnât feel so bad Iâd go over there and ask him if he wanted to go home with me, really throw him for a loop.â
âYou say heâs insufferable, what does he think about living with you?â JJ asked with a smirk.
âIâm the biggest delight in his life, heâs lucky to have me,â your sarcasm was evident.
âI sure am,â Spencer slid your drink onto the table in front of you and sat down by your side.
âGiving up on the ladies?â your eyebrows raised in question.
âYeah, I prefer to spend time with botanists who like to teach and grow plants in our apartment.â
You sipped your drink, âI might know someone like that.â
You stayed with the team and watched them start to relax after their week of work. When it finally got too late, Spencer asked for your keys.
âIâm telling you, plants are good for the soul. Our apartment is much more lively since I started bringing plants home,â you told him pointedly as you walked down the sidewalk towards where you had parked your car.
âYou know, for a scientist you believe pretty strongly in feelings,â he opened your door and helped you in, then went around to the driverâs side. He didnât like driving in the city, which was why he usually took the Metro, but if it meant getting you home safely he would do it without a second thought.
âFor a doctor you donât do much doctoring,â you stuck your tongue out at him, âbesides, I still believe in science. I only bring home plants that Iâm not using for research and when theyâre dying so that your music can heal them. They like classical,â Spencer was quiet for a minute, so you spoke again, âI missed you too, by the way.â
He glanced over at you, confused.
âYou said you missed me in your message. I missed you too.â
Before Spencer could respond, you had fallen asleep slouched in the seat next to him. He reached for the radio, turning the volume knob up slightly. He smirked when he heard the notes of Beethoven, you referred to it as âhis musicâ but he had always had a suspicion that you liked classical too.
âSpence,â you leaned into his side as he walked you through the door of your apartment, âIâm happy youâre home.â
He stopped at your bedroom door and pulled you into a hug, âIâm happy Iâm home too.â
The first thing you noticed when you woke up was the raging headache you were sporting. The second thing you noticed was the glass of water on your nightstand.
You slurped the water gratuitously before standing. You knew you shouldnât have been this hungover, you only had a couple of drinks but between teaching and your research you didnât get to go out very often. You padded out to the kitchen to refill the glass, becoming aware of your roommateâs open door and lack of presence in the small apartment. A post-it note on the counter with Spencerâs chicken scratch handwriting confirmed your suspicion; he had gotten called in unexpectedly.
You made some coffee and put on a nature documentary, then started puttering around the house watering the plants you had across the various surfaces of your home. You had started bringing a new plant home every time Spencer traveled years ago, a few months after you had moved in with the doctor. It had started with just one, you had brought it home to give it extra attention, but when Spencer came home he commented on how he liked it so it stayed on your kitchen windowsill. Your small apartment was now crowded with as many plants as it had books.
As soon as the plants were watered you went back to the kitchen and made some food. You hoped Spencer wouldnât be gone for too long, though there was no predicting what he got called in for. You spent the rest of the day curled up on the couch, watching a wide range of documentaries. When you were getting ready for bed you sent Spencer a text, just a simple âhope youâre okâ before you settled under your blankets and fell asleep.
When you woke up, you were pleased to hear a commotion in the kitchen. You always felt more at ease when your favorite doctor was safely under the roof of your apartment. You wrapped yourself in a fuzzy blanket, opening your door in hopes that Spencer had started making coffee. Instead of your lanky roommate you were greeted by a shorter woman who turned around as soon as she heard your door open, her hand retracting quickly from the photo that was hanging on your refrigerator door.
She wasnât anyone who you recognized, which confused you. Spencer usually told you when people were coming over, âpeopleâ always being his coworkers and never strangers. You didnât know what you wanted to say to this girl who was still standing in your kitchen. She ended up speaking first, though you werenât sure if it was fortunate or unfortunate for you, âSpencer had to go into work, he said it was ok if I made some coffee before I left too.â
âAre you⊠um⊠a coworker of his?â You already knew the answer to your question, but you couldnât think of any other way to figure out who this girl was.
âNo, we met a few months ago. I have to run, maybe Iâll see you around. Toodles!â You watched in awe as she walked out of the apartment, taking one of your coffee mugs with her. After standing shocked for a few minutes, you finally gathered yourself. First, you dumped the pot of coffee she had made and started a fresh one. Considering how your day had begun, there was no way you were getting through it without coffee.
Once you finally had some caffeine in your system, you went back to your room and started putting yourself together for the day. There was something about the woman Spencer had brought home that you couldnât shake. You got increasingly frustrated as you started your normal plant care routine, how could Spencer bring home somebody that he had known for a few months and not have the decency to tell you he was seeing her at all, let alone bringing her into your apartment?
This wasnât the first time he had hidden something- or someone from you. Considering his aversion to talking about work, there was a lot about the doctor that you didnât know. Usually you didnât mind, his personal life was his just as much as your personal life was yours, but this was a whole new level of secrecy. As you spiraled your eyes lingered on the Polaroid the woman had been looking at when you had entered the kitchen earlier.
Penelope had taken it the previous fall, on a team outing to the local pumpkin patch. While the rest of the squad had brought their families, Spencer had invited you. Between Spencerâs genius brain, your affinity for plants, and your shared love of Halloween the afternoon was more than perfect. You and Spencer had been crouched down to eye level with Henry next to a pumpkin that was almost as tall as the little boy, teaching him all there was to know about the plant when the photo was taken. It was one of your favorites, beautifully encapsulating the genuine love you felt for both boys. Â
The way Spencerâs guest was looking at the picture felt like an invasion of your privacy, an invasion of this life that you had worked so hard to find. With all of his brain power, Spencer must have known that, right?
You couldnât take it anymore, so you grabbed your keys and the closest sweater before getting into your car and driving to Quantico. You called Spencerâs cell on the way, but it rang out and went to voicemail. You tossed your phone into the passenger seat, mildly annoyed that he didnât pick up so that you could at least warn him you were going to yell at him as soon as you had the chance.
You had visited Spencer and the rest of your friends at work enough times to breeze through the security clearance and make it up to the sixth floor. You saw the team meeting at the round table, so you perched on Spencerâs desk and waited. Your roommate was the first out of the conference room, followed by Hotch and Rossi, a pleased smile on his face when he saw you sitting in the bullpen.
â(y/n)! Iâm sorry I didnât see you at all yesterday. Did you have a good day?â His tone was soft and very Spencer-like, you almost felt bad for the berating he was about to get.
âYeah, I didnât do much yesterday, it was nice. What about you?â
âWe got called in for this consult, thatâs what we were just finishing up today. Sorry I didnât leave a note, I was in a bit of a hurry. How did you know I was here?â
âYou did leave something for me, thatâs how I knew. Or⊠someone I should say,â you watched the confusion in Spencerâs face, followed by the wave of realization.
âSarah was still there?â
âYep, she made coffee and everything, real cheery for 8:00 AM. Were you going to tell me you had a girlfriend or was this your plan the whole time?â
âSheâs not my girlfriend,â he started fidgeting.
âSo⊠you brought a random girl into our houseâŠ?â You really wanted to understand the genius logic he had, but he wasnât making it easy.
âSheâs not random- look, when did my personal life become your business?â he started getting defensive. You stood from his desk, facing him in the mostly empty bullpen.
âIt became my business when we moved in together. I donât need to know everything but come on, if youâre bringing a girl home I should at least get a warning.â
âIt was last minute, ok? I figured you were asleep, I can call next time if you want.â
âIs there going to be a next time? No offense, Spence, but she didnât really seem like your type.â
âMy type?â
You gave him a pointed look, âshe said âtoodlesâ when she left. That only happens in bad movies. I thought you were into smarter girls. How did you even meet her?â
âIt doesnât matter how I met her. I can spend time with people other than you, you know.â
âIâm not saying you canât. Iâm just saying as your roommate I should at least get a heads up, or not be put in the situation at all. It was a dick move, Spencer. If youâre going to hook up with a girl you can at least take two minutes to see her out before you leave.â
âWe didnât sleep together, ok? Why are you always so nosy?â
âSince when have I been nosy? Youâre one to talk, Mr. Profiler. If I canât hide things neither can you.â
âItâs Doctor,â he spit back at you quickly, a knee-jerk reaction, âI donât want to talk about this anymore,â he picked up a stack of folders from his desk but you grabbed his wrist before he could go anywhere. You and Spencer had never had an argument like this, and while you knew you were responsible for starting it he was escalating it unnecessarily- and unlike himself.
âYouâre really walking away from this right now? You donât just get to call me nosy and then leave. What else do you have to say?â
âWould you rather me air all of my grievances out like dirty laundry? I can do that, I have a list and I have the time,â he started raising his voice.
You let go of his wrist to cross your arms defensively, âenlighten me, Doctor Reid. Iâd love to hear all of it.â
âYou get water all over the apartment when you water the plants, you- you never put my books back in the same order I put them in, and you never leave a note when you go to the lab. Someone could abduct you and I wouldnât know.â
âYou would know, because youâre a genius and you remind me about it every five seconds. And I could say the same thing about yourself, would it kill you to call me and let me know when youâre coming home from a case? Also, you drink all of the coffee before I even have a chance to have some, and keep way too many secrets for someone I consider my best friend.â
The list went on and on, both of you heatedly arguing about quirks that were trivial in the grand scheme of things. You were so engaged in your squabble, however, that you missed the conversation happening in the conference room behind you.
Morgan was standing next to Garcia with his arms crossed, âbets on how long they keep going like this?â
âReidâs brain is⊠infinite, I donât think he could stop if he wanted to,â Emily decided from Morganâs other side.
â(y/n) wonât give in that easily, sheâs a tough cookie,â Penelope defended.
âTwenty bucks says Pretty Boy ends the argument. Kid must have something that she wonât have a response to.â
âMy money is on Reid apologizing first. Youâre on, hot stuff.â
âShould we say something? They canât keep going like this forever,â JJ was worried for both of you.
âDo you want to get in the middle of that?â Morgan asked, âtheyâll settle down eventually. Theyâve lived together for how long? Even an argument like this wonât break them.â
âWhatâs happening out there?â Rossi stepped into the room and eyed the other agents.
âNothing good, theyâve been at it for twenty minutes now.â
âIâve never seen them fight like this beforeâŠâ Penelope gaped.
âA loverâs quarrel?â
âNo, this is deeper than that. A sibling squabble?â Emily suggested.
âI should have known,â the older man smirked.
âYouâre not going to stop them?â JJ questioned, still worried. Rossi shook his head.
âSometimes you just have to let them fight it out. Reid and (y/n) are good communicators, theyâll figure it out. Aaron wonât share that sentiment though.â Sure enough, the agents watched as Hotch entered the bullpen moments later.
âReid,â Hotch commanded attention from you and Spencer, âthatâs enough. We have work to do. (y/n), it would probably be best if you went home.â
You knew his suggestion was not optional. There was a beat of tension as Hotch walked away.
âAnd for the record, I hate that stupid vest,â you hissed, jabbing your finger at the patterned sweater vest on Spencerâs chest. Turning on your heel and stalking out of the building, you didnât see the other agents holding back laughter and Spencer gaping after you.
Instead of going home, you went to your lab. The clean environment was stark compared to the cozy clutter of your apartment, and it was the perfect place to cool down after your argument. You first checked on the plants you were growing, noting any changes. Then you checked your equipment, making sure everything was working properly. Though the routine was a welcome distraction, you couldnât keep your thoughts from Spencer. The first time you had met your roommate was in this building, two floors up.
You had been searching the chemistry floor for a specific piece of equipment that you needed for your project. Spencer had been poking around the chemistry labs and instead found you shoulders-deep in a closet. After helping you find what you were looking for he asked what you were working on. You had looked at him with a wicked grin and said âsolving the world hunger crisis.â You could see the curiosity on his face, as well as the reeling of his brain when you brought him back to your lab, this lab.
That was years ago and the room was much fuller now. Your research was progressing, it was slow but still there. You pulled an extra special plant off of the counter and moved it to the table next to your microscope. You shrugged on the sweater you had brought before your hands went on autopilot, preparing a slide and looking at the green cells underneath the lens.
Your phone ringing startled you from your mostly meaningless observations, âhey Pen.â
â(y/n), my sweet summer child, how are you?â
âIâm fine, you donât need to worry about me. Iâm safe, too. Iâm not putting myself in danger,â you rolled your eyes.
âI never said you were, sweetness. Just checking in, you donât fight with him often,â her voice softened.
âI know. Like I said, Iâm fine.â
âOk, do you need to crash on my couch? I can see if Emily and JJ are available to have a girlâs night if you want.â
âNo, thanks. Iâm just going to go home late, sneak in behind a large leaf or something,â you joked half heartedly.
âThereâs my girl. Call me if you need anything, ok?â
âOk, thanks Penelope,â when she hung up, you went back to your microscope. You stayed there staring at the same cluster of plant cells unable to really focus until there was a knock on your door. When you looked up your favorite slender genius was leaning on the doorframe.
âFor the record, youâre wearing my sweater,â your eyebrows knitted together for a second until you saw the timid smile playing on his lips.
âHow did you know I was here?â
âGarcia tracked your phone. I didnât ask her to but she told me where you were anyways. Iâm⊠uh⊠Iâm sorry for what I said.â
âMe too, except about that vest. I really do hate it and will willingly burn it for you anytime. All you have to do is ask,â Spencer laughed quietly.
âAnd, uh, Iâm sorry about Sarah. She, umâŠâ he trailed off.
âSpence, I donât need an explanation. Itâs ok,â you chewed on your lower lip, âIâm sorry I stormed into your workplace just to start an argument. There were definitely better ways I could have handled that.â
âAre we ok?â
âYou tell me, genius,â your eyes locked with his, eyebrows raised, âI think weâre ok, do you?â
âYeah, weâre ok. What are you working on?â He strode over to your side, gently touching the plant in front of you.
âThis is for you, actually,â you told him, âI was working on genetically modifying fruit size, so I bought some giant pumpkin seeds to make an⊠extra giant pumpkin, just for fun. I thought we could carve it for Halloween, I was going to bring it home for you.â
âHow did you plan on getting a giant pumpkin through our front door?â he laughed.
âI was going to bring it home before it started fruiting. Honestly itâs going to have to be soon, I Â need to do some serious repotting to accommodate this vine,â your fingers brushed the stems gingerly, âyou know you can tell me anything, right?â Spencer pulled over a chair so he could better look into the microscope.
âI know,â he paused, pulling back from the lens, âyou can tell me anything, too.â
âIâm sorry, sir, this is a cop-out free lab. If thatâs the best you can do youâre going to have to leave,â you deadpanned.
âShut up, I mean it,â he shook his head. You leaned into his side gently, your shoulder pressing into his.
âLove you, Spence.â
âI love you too.â

The 100: 7x05 Welcome to Bardo
Hereâs finally my belated review of 7x05. I was too busy last week (with actual work) so I couldnât write it before 7x06 aired. Then I got a bit distracted with my Dark rewatch and Dark season 3 dropping. But Iâm taking a break from it to finally post this review and then, hopefully, 7x06 not long after. Itâs good that I did a couple of rewatches because I could notice more details. (The review was already halfway over a week ago, so I added some remarks in italics that are things I only think now after seeing 7x06.)
This was an episode I was looking forward to and I enjoyed it, because it finally brought us to Bardo, in the belly of the beast so to speak (note: I wrote this sentence before I saw 7x06, and now I want to keep it because itâs just too funny that 7x06 put Clarke and co. in the literal belly of the beast), where the main action is likely to be, advanced the main plot of season 7 quite a lot, tied a few storylines and showed us Octavia in the present for the first time this season, and - not gonna lie - the highlight of the episode, 1 minute appearance of Bellamy, the first one since the first scenes of the season premiere.Â
However, I have to say that I wasnât really impressed with the part of the episode that should have been the most interesting - Octaviaâs flashbacks showing what happened to her when she was first taken to Bardo. It served its purpose by filling in the blanks, or rather confirming what I had already figured out, but for one thing, I didnât get too much character focus in this episode, except for a touching Octavia-Hope scene and Echoâs disturbing actions in the end, which made for a pretty strong scene. And this time I was really bothered by the sloppiness of the details: from just how inconsistent the time dilation rules (rules? what rules?) seem at this point (already a problem before, but this episode made it even worse, especially since it focused on the timeline so much) to the messy selection of flashbacks in the Memory Capture scenes (while the timeline is the writersâ fault, this was obviously a case of the editor being really lazy). Maybe this is just nitpicking, but I find it really annoying when I canât analyze details to come up theories because I have no idea which detail is a part of the plan and which is just a screw-up.Â
:Like everyone have some theories, including those about what really happened to Bellamy after his âdeathâ. (At least theyâre not even trying to make us believe Bellamy is dead on social media and in Inside the Episode features, like they tried last season with Clarke.) Â
This is why it ended up being an episode I liked less on rewatch, and I rank it behind 7x02, 7x04 and 7x01, although ahead of 7x03 (and, it turns out, 7x06). Even though the Sanctum portion of the episode was really strong and interesting this time.
Prepare for a lot of nitpicking of plot holes, and me about to incur the wrath of many t100 fans by explaining why I really dislike like the idea of an Octavia/Levitt endgame romance (itâs mostly because of their interactions in this episode).
This was the second episode this season where Marie said âPreviously onâ (Iâm curious how many different cast members do it this season) and I think itâs the first time we saw the opening titles that were released before the S7 trailer, the ones that start with the Bardo Stone Room.
Sanctum
The deluded brainwashed folks in Sanctum who still worship the Primes have a name they have given themselves - the Faithful. And it seems that they call the people who arenât brainwashed âthe Fallenâ. Has the show ever had such an annoying character as Trey, their leader?Â
I must say I related to Murphy when he suggested that maybe they should just let them burn themselves if thatâs what they want, instead of letting them exert control that way. Yes, I know itâs bad. But thatâs one of the things Murphy is good for, to sometimes say things that we all kind of think but would feel ashamed of saying aloud - at least if it was real life. However, Murphy - and Iâm sure everyone - changed his mind when he saw they were going to burn children. And the father of the child who was about to be sacrificed (who we now know is called Jeremiah) looked confused and terrified. Maybe itâs just Trey and a couple of other fanatical people influencing and manipulating the others. Unfortunately, real life examples of people doing horrible things - even to their own children - in the name of what they believe in, to make me hesitate to call this too extreme to be plausible. But what is going on in the heads of these people? At least before, when the people of Sanctum were sacrificing their children or other loved ones or themselves, they believed it meant living forever and being one with the gods, but this?Â
Nelson is becoming quite a likable character even though he has only had a brief scene or two here and there. (And then the show goes and does... whatever the hell theyâre doing with him in 7x06.) Like this time, when he was the only one who tried to save the Faithful woman who set herself on fire, explaining that the people of Sanctum are still their people, even the Faithful. (Now this is a much nicer face of the Children of Gabriel. Where was he when CoG were killing Nightblood people/potential hosts, even though thatâs not the most efficient way to stop the Primes - as opposed to killing the Primes and destroying their mind drives?)
Great little character moment for Emori when she asked Nelson: âEven though they cast you out?â He probably doesnât even know how much that resonates with her. Is this foreshadowing her storyline this season? Will she have to interact with or do something for the Grounders - or even specifically her clan, Sangedakru (which also happens to be the clan where Sheidheda was from - and the most likely to follow him if/when they find out who he is, since they seem to consider him their âgreatest championâ)? (The latter seems slightly less likely now that Indra seems to have made them respect her authority... but I doubt itâs going to be that easy...)
BTW, speaking of Emori. let me just address the speculation that sheâs pregnant - apparently based on the fact she threw up?! She threw up because she got radiation poisoning, FFS. If she were pregnant, the fetus would at least be in huge danger of not surviving. Maybe the writers of The 100 didnât know or didnât expect the audience to know about the effects of radiation, but come on, they must be aware that everyone has seen Chernobyl.) And Jackson, a doctor, examined her right there.
Murphy being snarky:Â âIâm tired of being a heroâ. Hmm... when was the last time, Murphy, you were a hero without someone roping you in first, or without you following Emoriâs lead or making a last moment decision? However, while Murphy likes to claim he doesnât want to be a hero, Bellamy told him in 5x01 that Murphyâs problem on the Ring was that he actually wanted to be a hero and felt useless because he didnât have the opportunity. Still, heâs come a long way since season 1, when he wasnât exactly that protective of children.... Granted, Charlotte was not an innocent, but she was still a child. And he was 17 at the time, now heâs an adult.
Iâm enjoying watching Indra in her new leadership role and her stand-offs with RussHeda. Itâs very fortunate that Adina is not busy with AHS anymore, and JR Bourne makes for a fantastic villain - in a completely different way than Russell was. Russell was soft and emotional while also pompous and hypocritical and seemed to believe his own BS, which made him all the more annoying. Sheidheda is much smarter and has no delusions about being a good guy. Heâs scary and dark but he also knows how to turn the situation to his benefit and has very rational remarks about how ridiculous the Faithful are with their tactic. He clearly has nothing but contempt for them. âMy, my, what foolish little lambs you are.â (Which ties into this seasonâs themes of Shepherd and the flock.)
We learn more about Indraâs backstory, and this is the most Iâve been interested in Grounder history since... ever?
Itâs also quite dark how she manipulates Jackson with his desire for revenge, by keeping the truth from him that RussHeda is not Russell. But Jacksonâs dark side of his thirst for revenge for Abby has made him the most interesting that heâs ever been as a character.
I think that this storyline will eventually somehow tie with the main storyline. If nothing else then because Sheidheda and Madi are connected to the knowledge from the Flame, which is connected to Becca and ALIE and events from the prequel. Especially since it increasingly seems like the âgreat warâ thatâs being talked about may have something to do with AIs...
Bardo
Timeline and time dilation
Let me get this off my chest first... The timeline of this episode was confusing for some viewers in terms of the sequence of events. That isnât the case for me - the problem is that the amount of time that was supposed to pass makes the time dilation seem really inconsistent.
So, chronologically, things happened like this:
in 6x08 (some 4 or 5 Sanctum days ago): Diyoza goes into the Anomaly; ends up on Skyring
Octavia goes into the Anomaly 6 seconds later, ends up on Skyring, 3 months (Skyring time) after Diyoza arrived. she gives birth.
Octavia and Diyoza spend 10 years there raising Hope.
Octavia sends a message to Bellamy in a bottle, not realizing the bottle ended up on Bardo (apparently, the default setting of the Anomaly, is: you go from Sanctum to Skyring and from Skyring to Bardo). Disciples capture her and Diyoza and take them to Bardo.
While Hope spends 10 more years on Skyring with Dev, before jumping to Bardo, Octavia is taken to Bardo, tried to run away, then is taken to Memory Capture. This is 45 (Bardo) days ago. She resists at first, but 34 Bardo days ago, she allows Levitt access to her memories and he starts watching them in a more coherent and chronological manner. 31 Bardo days ago, after heâs seen her memories up to the season 3 finale, Hope comes to rescue her.Â
Levitt helps them and Octavia is sent back to Sanctum, losing her memories, and runs back into Gabrielâs arms (no, I donât mean it like that and I donât ship them)Â - 10 Sanctum seconds after she ran into the Anomaly! (This is still 6x08)
7 Bardo days ago (which is some 2 days ago on Sanctum) or 6x13, Hope (who had probably been immediately captured when trying to save her mother - I guess she and the Disciples spent 24 days waiting for Octavia to enter Hopeâs mind code into the Anomaly Stone...) is sucked into Sanctum, stabs Octavia with the tag which pulls her to Bardo. Octavia is brought to MCap again, and apparently Levitt talks to her and then she is brought to the Stone Room to talk Bellamy down. Something happens to Bellamy and Octavia is made to believe heâs dead.
in the present, Hope, Echo and Gabriel (after spending 5 years on Skyring, which was somehow 2 days on Sanctum (?)) jump to Bardo, kill some people, pretend to be DIsciples and listen to Andersâ speech, find Octavia, and see the memory of whatever happened or did not happen to Bellamy.
Now this means that the time differentials between planets have been like this:
Sanctum: 6 seconds = Skyring: 3 months
Sanctum:10 seconds = Skyring: over 20 years (because Hope spent 20 years on Skying and at least a few hours on Bardo, all in those 10 Sanctum seconds)
Sanctum: a few seconds (under 10 seconds, probably a lot less) = Bardo: 14 days (from â45 days agoâ to â31 days agoâ)
Sanctum: about 2 or 3 days = Bardo: 24 days
Sanctum: 2 days = Bardo: 7 days
Sanctum: a little over 1 day = Skyring: 5 years
See the problem here?
@justbecauseyoubelievesomething pointed out before that the time differentials may vary a lot because of planets orbiting their suns (and Sanctum orbiting its planet and the suns) in elliptic orbits, so distances from the black hole change. However, the problem with this is that 1) they havenât said that on the show and instead keep talking about the time differentials as if they are at least roughly the same or similar all the time, and 2) these fluctuations vary way too much for it to make any sense? If it was just 1:3 and then 1:7, for instance, OK - but how the heck does the time differential between Sanctum and Bardo go from 1:200,000 to 1:3?Â
How is this supposed to work? Do people on Bardo go:
âWeâre sending a team to Sanctum!â
âUnderstood! We will need just an hour to retrieve the target!â âBut Sir... theyâll return in 20 years! We have to wait till next week, then an hour will be just 7 hours here!â
âAll right, we have to wait for the next week then!â
And do these fluctuations happen just between Sanctum and Bardo or Sanctum and Skyring, or also between Bardo and Skyring? The latter would make their prison system quite complicated and tricky!
A couple of other pieces of info -Â
Levitt put the âTrust Bellamyâ note in Hopeâs arm during his MCap session (because he knew what Bellamy was to Octavia), but Anders apparently did not realize why Hope was bleeding or that it had something to do with Levitt, though he was the only one who couldâve had any contact with her?
One thing I donât get is the part where Anders says: âitâs why youâre a prisoner dressed like a savage so you can get close to Aunty Oâ. Why did they have to dress Hope in Grounder-like clothes, exactly?
We also see that Meredithâs team was told to go to Sanctum and find Clarke - though itâs unclear why they waited so long to send them. Or why Meredithâs team waited about a day and a half to contact Clarke. We see Anders telling Meredith: âBecause of the time dilation, no one will come for you if you failâ - and I have no idea thatâs supposed to mean, especially since I donât know what time differential it was supposed to be at the time.
Octavia in Memory Capture
...And Iâm gonna nitpick some more.Â
Maybe itâs not a big deal that many of the scenes we saw as Octaviaâs memories didnât make sense, because they were either scenes she wasnât present for or scenes from the future (relative to the moment when she was on Bardo the first time), but I expected better, after the wonderful attention to detail in last seasonâs Nevermind and Matryoshka, where neither the prop masters nor editors and sound editors made any mistakes with what we saw and heard of Clarkeâs memories.
So, 45 days ago, when Octavia was first brought to Bardo, and Anders and Levitt were seeing random memories against her will, the first thing sheâs told is to imagine someone holding out a hand to her to help her, and we see brief flashes of various memories (aka scenes from the previous seasons) before her mind settles of many different images of Bellamy:
Aurora with baby Octavia
Lincoln, just before his death
Indra - when Octavia finds her and talks to Clarke and Lexa (3x05) - of course this is there because of Indra, but I donât know if Clarke is also supposed to be one of the people O thinks of: we see her quite clearly as sheâs saying she must talk to Bellamy to save their people
and then a bunch of images of Bellamy - which is where things start not making sense, because while we see himÂ
in the Pilot on the dropship (that makes sense)
in season 5 when he argued with Octavia (also makes sense)
but we also see him dressed Gabrielâs cardigan, which he only wore after reuniting with Octavia in 6x10, after she came back from Bardo, and one of the images is definitely from 6x13 when Hope came from the Anomaly (future scenes!)lÂ
we also see the scene where Bellamy was looking for Octavia and talked to Clarke in 1x06 (where Octavia was obviously not present for! Itâs also the scene right after the Aurora flashback - the editor were obviously being super lazy)
and Bellamy in an anti-radiation suit in 4x13 when he had to leave Clarke (the only way Octavia could remember that is if she had a telepathic link to her brother!)
Other memories include Murphy in Pikeâs class (clearly just as a cool transition from a Murphy scene in Sanctum), but it was really funny how horrified Octavia seemed when Levitt asked her if he was her lover. ;) Levitt clearly got a bunch of images of her friends - including Raven, Clarke (from the Pilot!) and Indra, whose images we see on screen in addition to Bellamy - and he finally sees a bunch of memories of Hope on Skyring, which is what she was trying to hide the most.
At this point, Octavia desperately tries to make a deal with Levitt - he doesnât mention Hope in his report, and lets her go later, and sheâll let him into her memories. Just before Levitt starts watching her memories in the chronological order, we hear some more of Octaviaâs memories in her head (they arenât showing on the screen, where the same flashbacks as before are playing):
banishing Echo in 4x11
Bellamy deciding to leave her in 6x03 (âAre you out of your mind? You didnât need to kill anyone!â)
Miller saying âBlodreina gave that honor to me!â
Octavia yelling âYouâre dead to me!â to Bellamy (in that disturbing scene in 3x10) and...
Hallucination!Pike telling her she caused a world to be destroyed and herself yelling she wanted âREDEMPTION!â - which is another inconsistency, because comes from a red toxin hallucination that sheâll only have after she returns to Sanctum (in 6x09)! At least you could say this was already in her subconsciousness, but these were supposed to her memories!
When she starts cooperating, Levitt basically binges the first 3 seasons of The 100 - or rather, a version of it where Octavia is the main character and everything is only from her POV - ending with 3x16, which is probably pretty significant, as they showed several moments right before Clarke destroyed the City of Light and the moments after she came back. We see Bellamy telling everyone what to do as they were fighting chipped people to protect Clarke, Clarke on the throne in the City of Light, Pike fighting chipped!Jaha, Pike saving Octavia, and, and after the destruction of the COL, Murphy and Emori hugging, and finally - Octavia stabbing Pike.
This is where Levitt goes âYes!â - which makes me (and Octavia) feel real tonal dissonance. He reveals himself to be a true Octavia stan, the kind who thinks their favorite character simply cannot go wrong and who doesnât just defend her and have an understanding and empathy for her motives and emotional states (which is great), but cheers even the bad things she did (which is not great). Now, if Levitt is meant to be a representation of a typical stan, thatâs great. The show has, this season in particular (and even in S6 to a point - through Jordan) been dealing with the idea of Clarke, Octavia and other main characters as living legends. And a lot of t100 fans - including every single YouTube reactor Iâve seen - always cheers and says theyâre happy when she kills Pike. I didnât feel that way, so thereâs that. And sure, some of that is because I didnât hate Pike. But whatâs more important is: that moment was never portrayed as a triumphant one. (It it was meant to be, it would have been Octavia killing Pike in a battle, or something similar to the scene where Lincoln killed Cage Wallace in 2x16, not Octavia stabbing Pike when he didnât expect it, after they had fought together and right after he had saved her life. It wouldnât have shown Bellamy and Clarke worried about Octavia, or made it her âstart of darknessâ moment that led to her becoming a murder-obsessed assassin in season 4. And 6x09 made a point that Octavia herself saw this act as a wrong one - that she thinks she didnât have the right to murder someone in cold blood even though she had legitimate reasons to hate him. The show generally doesnât portray revenge-murder as a good thing. And that is true in this scene, too: we see flashbacks of Pike at his most heroic (fighting chipped Jaha and Pike right after he saved Octaviaâs life) before the scene of her stabbing him, and while Levitt is like âYES!â, Octavia seems upset to see that moment again and a tear is falling from her eyes.
So why, then, is the show apparently portraying Levittâs uncritical stanning of everything Octavia does as a great thing, and why are so many fans and reviewers convinced that Levitt is a great new love interest for Octavia, possibly her endgame love interest, because of his adoration of her and the praise her gives her? (And 7x06 has made me think that, yes, the show is definitely portraying him as a potential love interest.) Yes, I agree that Octavia needs someone to help boost her self-esteem and tell her sheâs not a monster, that sheâs a good person at heart, that sheâs worthy of love. But it would mean so much more if it came from someone who was able to relate to her as an equal and also acknowledge her dark side and be critical of the bad things she did. âI understand why you did this and it doesnât make you a terrible personâ is different from âEverything you did is right and awesome.â I liked what he said about her as a child, how she was even then being responsible and protecting her mother and brother and not just herself by hiding. But itâs absurd to tell someone âYouâre not a killer, youâre a warriorâ right after youâve seen them murder someone out of revenge in what most definitely wasnât a battle or a fight. The fact is that Octavia is both a warrior and a killer. They all are - she, Clarke, Bellamy, all of them. Having a good heart and understandable motives doesnât change that fact.
If Levitt is supposed to just be a Disciple with a crush that makes him help Octavia, fine, but I canât see a potential romance there - it would be like a relationship between a celebrity and an obsessive fan.
World-building
This episode was full of world-building info, probably what I liked about it the most:
Levitt seemed particularly interested in Clarke and the fact she was in the City of Light, which makes me think that the reason why she is âthe keyâ in the eyes of the Disciples has something to do with Beccaâs tech and ALIE in particular, and that the enemy theyâre afraid of may be some sort of an AI.
We finally saw Bardo. Not that it was surprising since we already knew from the opening titles and 7x04 that the compound was underground and that it was a dome with artificial atmosphere and that it included an arboretum, Stone Room, which is on the way to the cells, etc. I checked to see if it matched the layout drawn by Orlando. I had assumed that the numbers were levels in the structure, but while Orlando put Arboretum as 1, it is on level 2.Â
It seems that all the Disciples were either black or white clothes. (Fits with the black and white way of thinking.) From what weâve seen so far, it seems that the military, so to speak (fighters/those who jump to other planets) wear black, while the Stone Conductors, people who do the Memory Capture, other scientists, as well as other personnel (like janitors or gardeners/groundskeepers) wear white. Anders himself, the First Disciple, wears white, so I suppose he is one of the âciviliansâ.
Anders claims that the Disciples have risen above âlesser emotionsâ and learned to value the collective rather than the individuals. But from what weâve seen of other Disciples, thatâs BS. That may be their ideology, but in fact, theyâre just the same as anyone else and just as prone to developing feelings of love and bonds of friendship as anyone else.
Levitt is Level 11! Which makes you wonder how hard the Disciples really check how âdevoutâ the Disciples are. But maybe heâs just too important as an expert,Â
We see the MCap technology at work. But we also see that itâs not easy to extract memories from an unwilling subject. Levitt has apparently mostly done this to the Disciples themselves (youâd think most of them would be willing, but obviously some were not, since they sound like they already have experience with unwilling subjects.) Levitt tries to get Octavia to comply because heâs a Good Cop by telling her that they may get his colleague instead, who will âburn right throughâ her brain. (But as we see from the Diyoza flashback in 7x06, thatâs not true - the other guy, Kirsch, doesnât do that when Diyoza is uncooperative. I donât think they are actually able to do that.)
The Disciples usually send teams every 30 minutes (but these 30 minutes are drastically different on Sanctum and on Skyring!)
More about how the Anomaly Stones work: while Dev told Hope that all you need to do Is think where you want to go and the helmet will do the rest, itâs not actually that magical - in fact, you actually need someone (normally the Conductor) to push the buttons on the Anomaly Stone.
According to Levitt, pulling someone from another planet through the Anomaly is â safe 8 out of 10 times". What happens the other 20% of times? Is it really being âturned inside outâ as Hope said in 7x02?
Itâs also confirmed that people lose their memories if they travel without the helmets from a faster to a slower time dilated planet (which I had already figured out based on the fact that the danger only seemed to exist when travelling from Skyring/Bardo to Sanctum and from Skyring to Bardo, but not the other way round).
When Hope was about to leave to save her mother, Levitt tried to tell her: âThey have helmets, too, that means thatâŠâ â what? That they can see her? Meredithâs team didnât see Raven, so it canât be that. But do they have some other way of communicating? Do you have to be actively thinking for them to detect you? Whatever it is, she shouldâve listened as she quickly got caught.
Eyes are important as itâs through them that the biometric signature/mind code is made. And the Disciples have a very quick way of painting/tattooing the code on someoneâs back.
What exactly is the problem with the atmosphere on Bardo? There is a biohazard alert as Octavia is brought in and sheâs checked for some sort of an infection (âsheâs cleanâ). It seems that the problem is with some kind of a disease (especially with what we hear from Levitt in 7x06).
In the category of revelations that werenât a surprise at all since the fandom has figured them out weeks ago, Gabriel realizes that there is a Stone on Earth (as we saw in 7x04 and in the opening titles - itâs the offline planet), by listening to Andersâ speech where he mentions that the Shepherd delivered them by a stone. (Confirming the theory that Disciples are Second Dawn even before that was technically confirmed in 7x06 and that Cadogan led them through the Anomaly some time after the Apocalypse and after burning Becca. I suppose they disconnected the Stone so unbelievers could not follow them.)
Thereâs a ton of new info about the history of Bardo. According to the Disciples, the compound was built by âNative Bardoansâ, who went extinct before the Disciples got there. And they were supposedly giants, but were turned by something called âGen9âł into âcrystal giantsâ?! Levitt says that the whole min code could fit on a Bardoanâs arm? (How does he know that?) I call BS on that. The rooms and doors in the compound are tall, but wide enough just for a human-sized person to pass through. (And there are plenty of human buildings with very tall doors and ceilings.) The retinal scans are fitted to the human eye, all the technology is human-sized, and, most importantly, the keys on the Anomaly Stone are the size of a human finger. The whole thing reminds of many legends that various big ancient buildings were built by giants. I still think Eligius III people were the ones who built the compound. We still havenât heard anything of them and where they fit. And with the time dilation, they couldâve been on Bardo for decades or centuries before Second Dawn arrived a few Earth years later.
What is Gen9? I assume itâs a disease (especially with all the mentions of the polluted atmosphere on the surface), but itâs also been suggested it may be a computer program, which would fit with the idea of the enemy being an AI or connected to AIs. I like the theory that itâs not short from âGeneration 9âł but âGenesis 9âł, which would fit with the religious themes (the Disciples mix and match a lot of pseudo-Christian and pseudo-Buddhist ideas). Genesis 9 is the chapter about Godâs Covenant with Noah, where God tells him that humans should go and multiple and feed on plants and animals, but they mustnât eat what has lifeblood in it still, and they mustnât shed the blood of another human being. âI will demand an accounting for the life of another human being.â
These are the transcripts of all the prayers and speeches of the Disciples from this episode, as much as I was able to hear them:
[prayer] âIn the light of the Shepherd, for all mankind. He will save us from the war to end all warsâ
[female speaker] "The Shepherd brings us wisdom. The Shepherd brings us love, for all mankind. (...) Humanity (...) (final days)⊠burned, (...) as bombs launched, your ancestors chose a different path. There will soon be time when we will be tested to a man, and we will be victorious. For all mankind!"
[male introducing Anders]âAnd now, it is my greatest honor to present the esteemed First Disciple, who will lead us through todayâs lesson on the Book of Allness.â
Anders: âThank you, Emilio. In the light of the Shepherd, for all mankind!Â
Letâs first take a moment to acknowledge our newest class of Level 9s. Youâve each demonstrated impressive devotion to the Shepherd. Our predecessors on this planet did not share that faith. Like our ancestors on Earth, they destroyed their world. Even before they were wiped out by Gen 9 and turned into crystal giants, their atmosphere was so polluted they were forced to build forests underground in order to breathe. Even the rain that should fall from the sky, falls instead by their technology. For that, we thank them. But where are they now? We know that by the time the Shepherd delivered us with the stone, the Bardoans were gone, extinct. Why is that? [Someone from the crowd: âThey didnât have the Shepherd!â Everyone laughs. Oh, Disciple humor... ] No, they didnât, did they? They [unintelligible, Gabriel speaks over this part]⊠they lost their last great war. That same enemy is coming after us now. But, in the light of the Shepherd, we will not lose. [crowd cheers] Weâre close now. Weâve located the key. After hundreds of years it has returned to us. Ours is the generation that will win the last war! Our Shepherd will rise [unintelligible] and we will win (?) this fight, for all mankind!â
Hi, Bellamy! Bye, Bellamy! See ya later!
And for the most important thing in this episode: yes, we were blessed with a rare and joyous moment,, a sighting of Bellamy Blake on screen (and not in MCap but in an actual new scene), as occurrence as rare this season as (probably) the Disciples seeing the Shepherd.
While absolutely no one is buying the fake-out death (about as convincing as Clarkeâs in 6x04 or Octaviaâs in 6x13, though I now wonder if leaving Bellamy out of the poster and Bob out of the Countdown was a part of the fake-out they committed to), there have been many different theories about what really happened there, if the whole scene was staged or if it even happened or was an implanted memory. (The glitch effects between scenes may have contributed to that theory, but the glitch effect occurred at random points, e.g. when Hope remembered her conversation with Anders, and I donât see why that would be a false memory.)
For a moment, I even wondered if Levitt talking to Octavia was her hallucination (seeing a comforting figure) because it seemed quite implausible that Anders and the others had only then started to figure out that he got too close to her, and that they were still letting her come anywhere near her. But 7x06 proved I was wrong. Well, maybe Anders has realized Levitt had helped Octavia and Hope and itâs all some elaborate trap where he is using Levitt as an unwitting pawn, though that seems a bit convoluted... or maybe Anders just isnât actually that smart as we assume he should be.
Iâve never believed in the âimplanted memoryâ theory, and people have since pointed out that thereâs a sign of damage from the blast in the Stone Room.Â
The other prevalent theory is that the whole scene was staged by the Disciples and that Bellamy himself was in on it because heâs been brainwashed. The arguments are - itâs unlikely that Bellamy managed to overpower a few Disciples after being captured unconscious, and that thereâs supposedly something âoffâ about him in that scene because he had been crying just before that. I donât think thereâs anything âoffâ, and he had learned that Octavia was alive, so why do people expect him to be crying rather than fighting to save her? As for it being unlikely that he killed a couple of Disciples immediately, overpowered another and captured the Conductor - Iâm sorry, but have you seen the Disciples this season? They are being killed by pretty much every main character. And maybe some fans see Bellamy as a soft sweet teddy bear of a man and think that only women on t100 are allowed to be good fighters, but canon Bellamy is pretty damn badass and really good at fighting. What would be actually hard to believe is that Bellamy could get brainwashed over the course of a few hours. Iâm sorry, but no.
People also said the fact that Bellamy asked what the heck Octavia was talking about when she used the opportunity to tell him that Disciples wanted Clarke (âIâll tell them everything, even about Clarkeâ) was a sign he had lost his memories or been brainwashed and that he didnât know who Clarke was - which is a really convoluted argument. The simplest and most obvious answer is that he was surprised and wanted to know what they wanted with Clarke.
There was actually something odd about that scene - but it was Andersâ behavior. after Octavia said that line about Clarke and after Bellamy reacted to it, he got a very strange look on his face, and the camera was focusing on him. The second odd thing is that the Conductor got very upset at that moment and started begging Anders: âSir, please, noâ, before Anders shut him up - which seemed like an overreaction to the possibility of... what? Letting a prisoner go? This makes me think that the Disciple on the floor detonating a grenade was a part of the ploy by Anders. He certainly was never going to send Bellamy to Sanctum - I have an idea where he actually sent him - but what if he was also signalling something to the Disciple - that he should detonate the grenade? Which would be a smoke screen so Octavia, Levitt and others wouldnât know what really happened to Bellamy and would think he was dead.
But why would Anders want Octavia to think he was dead? Itâs certainly not to make her cooperate, because that was only ever likely to have the opposite effect. But also - why would the Disciples focus on making Octavia tell them more about Clarke, when they could try to use Bellamy for the same purpose? From Octaviaâs memories, they must have known how close Bellamy and Clarke are. (Or did Levitt tell Anders that? If he did not, that was an additional reason to suspect Levitt and hide information from him. If Anders was only starting to realize thereâs a connection between Clarke and Bellamy, that could have changed his plans.) And they could do more with Bellamy than just try to get his memories. They could use him (his life, his safety) to draw in Clarke, the âkeyâ. If Anders has sent Bellamy somewhere and wanted to hide his whereabouts and make people on Bardo think heâs dead for the time being, the blast could be a good distraction, before he plays that card. (All of this, of course, assuming Anders is actually smart.)Â
Now, where is Bellamy? He certainly wasnât sent back to Sanctum, and Anders had no reason to send him to Skyring or Nakara (if he needs him alive and under his control, that would defeat the purpose), And thereâs no indication that itâs possible for the Anomaly Stone to send a person to another location on the same planet. So, I believe Bellamy has been sent to Etherea. That would be the reason to finally go to the only planet of the 6 that we havenât seen yet. Iâve also had the theory that Etherea is the slowest of all the planets - because, if youâre using time dilation as a plot point, why wouldnât you milk it for its worth? And if thatâs the case - good news is that Bellamy wonât get almost any older, but the bad news is that heâs lost all his memories. But not too bad of a news, since heâd get them back as soon as he gets to a faster planet.Â
This would open some juicy story possibilities...Â
An Echo of Finn (and Octavia?)
This episode continued the trend weâve already seen in 7x04 - Hope is becoming more of a killer after her first kill on Skyring, Echo is reverting to her identity as as ruthless spy and killer (and occasionally murderer, as at the of this episode), in her 5-year single-minded mission to save Bellamy and now as a result of believing that Bellamy is dead and her mission was for nothing. And Gabriel is getting more and more frustrated with both of them, especially Echo, and constantly going âwill you stop killing people, please?â (Well, not in those words.) (And Iâm wondering how close he really got to the others, since they spent 5 years together and were preparing to jump to Bardo, but Hope never told Gabriel about Levitt?! )
There was some irony earlier in the episode when Hope seemed almost ready to attack Anders in front of hundreds of Disciples (she really hates him - I guess because she knew they were torturing her mother), and Echo told her to âpull herself togetherâ, since it was Echo later that lost it, murdered Kirsch the memory capture guy in a particularly brutal way, and blew their chances of using him to get to Diyoza, which wouldâve been a terrible blow to Hope if Diyoza hadnât freed herself anyway, as we see in 7x06.
(Kudos to Tasya for being really good in that scene, she made Echo look genuinely scary. Iâve often criticized her acting, but this time she was really on point.)
So letâs talk about this moment and Echoâs arc this season.
Some people say that this is just a normal reaction to âlosing the love of your lifeâ and that everyone would react the same. But weâve seen other characters lose people they deeply loved, and they did not react the same way. Weâve seen Bellamy react to Octaviaâs âdeathâ in S4 and Clarkeâs âdeathâ in S6. Weâve seen Clarke react to many of her loved onesâ deaths, most recently to her motherâs. Her grief over her mother was shown in detail over several episodes, and we saw her explode in the end, but while she beat up Russell, she stopped herself from killing him (and Russell was the actual person who murdered her mother and had previously tried to murder Clarke herself and stole her body for his daughter). In S6, Bellamy wanted to kill Russell (again, the actual person responsible for Clarkeâs death) and burn the Sanctum down, but he stopped himself. In this very episode, we see Octavia react to her brotherâs âdeathâ. which she sees as very real, but she hasnât started going around and killing anyone she gets her hands on.Â
Now, Octavia of the past, S3 Octavia, was different, far less mature, more violent, and she did react violently to Lincolnâs death, including becoming a murderer - now, the person she murdered was the one directly responsible for Lincolnâs death, but she also went on to become an assassin and became rather murder-happy, before stopping herself just as she was about to kill Ilian the same way Pike killed Lincoln.Â
Another obvious parallel is to Finn and the way he was losing control and becoming more violent, ruthless and selfish, from murdering a Grounder prisoner, to wanting to leave Mel literally hanging from a cliff because she was unimportant in his eyes compared to his goal of finding and âsavingâ Clarke (who, it turned out, didnât even need saving and had saved herself), to completely losing it and killing a bunch of completely innocent people. The guy Echo killed here wasnât really innocent, but he wasnât responsible for Bellamyâs âdeathâ, either, and Echoâs behavior on her quest to save Bellamy has been increasingly violent throughout the season. And, while we knew Clarke was alive and well, we donât know where Bellamy is but he is still alive and will probably eventually meet Echo again, just like Clarke reunited with Finn.
(Mind you: I donât think Echoâs killing spree is the reason why Becho will fall apart. The relationship was already disintegrating in S6, if you pay any attention. This is more about Echo herself and where she finds herself without that relationship. Finnâs killing spree wasnât the reason why Flarke fell apart, either. Clarke still had feelings for Finn, but she had rejected him for other reasons, i.e. his earlier behavior. )
What do all these actions have in common? They werenât romantic, they were f*cking unhealthy. When Finn told Clarke that he killed all those people for her, she was horrified, and I was really angry at him for telling her something that terrible.
In Finnâs case, he may have been suffering from PTSD, and his feelings for Clarke were turning into an obsession and made him look almost like a stalker. In Echoâs case, she has serious identity issues and her childhood trauma and conditioning by Queen Nia. But the show is, in this case, more open about the fact that, for Echo, itâs not all about romantic love. or love in general. She has lost her purpose. Bellamy is not just her boyfriend, heâs her King, like Nia and Roan before him. Echoâs own subconsciousness has been telling her that this is a problem, and that her relationship with Bellamy is very unbalanced. âWithout Bellamy, who will you follow? Without someone to follow, who are you?â It also told her that she has remained the same as before she became a part of the Spacekru and his girlfriend: âOnce a killer, always a killer.â ââThe honorless spy who would do anything for her queen, even betray the man she now claims to love?â In S5 and S6, Bellamy was trying to not âmake the same mistakesâ, and âdo betterâ, and was always rejecting Echoâs more ruthless suggestions of how to deal with any potential enemies, and she always fell in line as he was the leader/ Without him, she is reverting to her old patterns.
Itâs not romantic or a sign of soulmate love to wrap your whole identity over one person. Itâs really unhealthy. It was also unhealthy when Octavia said she didnât have a home and didnât belong anywhere after Lincolnâs death because he was âher homeâ. She had to grow out of that. Maybe she could offer some advice to Echo now. Will it work or not? I donât know.
What Iâm sure of is that Becho is doomed, but the writing on the wall has been there at least throughout season 6, if not already in season 5. What I donât know is how Echoâs own arc this season will end. She will have to forge a new identity, but what will it be? Will she start following someone else? (That would be a pretty depressing arc.) Become independent, but still a ruthless killer? Will she start thinking about the morality of her actions as most other o the major characters do? Will she fail to find any solution and will die? Not every character on the show gets to have an uplifting arc where they solve their issues. Her arc is different from Finnâs because his dark arc was a completely new and shocking development, while Echo is reverting to who she used to be. But I think itâs more likely that she gets a more positive ending than Finn, because the show has been paralleling storylines in seasons 6-7 to storylines of early seasons (like Sanctum-Mount Weather) but with a more positive outcome.
Best moments/lines
While Bellamyâs 1-minute appearance was undoubtedly the highlight of the episode, my favorite scenes were Octaviaâs reunion and goodbye with Hope (even with Hope being an adult now, Octavia talks to her as a surrogate aunt: âI love you, little one, donât you ever forget itâ), the scenes with Murphy and the kids and the battle of wills between Indra and Sheidheda.Â
The best line by far was Hopeâs reply to Anders:
âThis is what happens when you value individuals above the collectiveâ
Hope:Â âItâs called love, you son of a bitch,â
Body count:
One Faithful burned herself.
another fanatical suicide: a Disciple who detonated the grenade (at Andersâ orders?) in the flashback scene with Bellamy
a bunch of Disciples killed, again. For a group thatâs supposed to be so badass and scary, they really failing to be that, since theyâre constantly getting their asses kicked. OK, they are not all Level 12, and Orlando was both Level 12 and a teacher of fighting skills. And yes, Echo and Hope (and Gabriel, who hasnât killed anyone so far) have had almost 5 years of training by Orlando, while Octavia and Bellamy (and Diyoza, of course) are incredibly badass even without it. But you canât keep them getting killed so easily and expect me to take them seriously. This time, Bellamy killed a couple in the flashback, and Hope and Echo killed a few, including a particularly sadistic murder of Kirsch the Memory Cap guy.
Rating: 7.5/10

WCTH Rewatch - 7x02: The Heart of a Father -
I love Allie making plans without asking but knowing he can't say no because he does want her to make friends. Â She's so smart.
Aww Nathan's little joke about Allie's teacher. Â They're so cute and he's such a dork. Â I like that they have those silly moments and that's where Nathan's true personality gets to come out.
It's so annoying that every wedding plot has someone trying to take over all the planning from the bride. Â Rosemary means well but ugh.
And here's Archie!
"Are you Nathan's wife?" Â !!! Â I feel like I missed that line before. Â Love that Nathan's father assumes that.
He claims he's a different man but is he? Â Of course Nathan shouldn't take him at face value after everything that happened. Â And he has to protect Allie.
Elizabeth really should stay out of it but she cares about Allie.
I love Lee's advice to Jesse.
Little Jack's face during Lee and Rosemary's conversation is perfect.
It was good that Nathan told Elizabeth about his dad but it really feels like she disagrees with his judgement which is frustrating. Elizabeth always thinks sheâs right but this is a situation she doesnât understand.
Archie and Lucas is a bad combination. Â "Two birds of a feather" indeed.
Allie really wants to get to know her grandpa and how can you argue with her whole list of things?
Carson mentoring Faith might be a bad thing but I do love how supportive he is of her becoming a doctor.
I love what Rosemary has to say about Nathan being trained to be an excellent judge of character. Â She does have good advice.
Clara asking Rosemary to be her matron of honor was sweet. Â I love Jesse and Lee's scene too.
And then uh oh Archie gets arrested. Â You can see how pained Nathan is to have to arrest his own father. Â So sad.

If you had to rank the season 7 episodes best to worst what would be your order?
I'm sorry this took so long! I wanted to rewatch Season 7 to see if it would change from just immediately after watching in real time and it actually did. Watching a second time there are some episodes I liked more (7x06) and some I liked less (7x05) and then some that just annoyed me like they did the first time lol.
But here is my list and then under the cut I elaborated with some thoughts/explanations. If anyone wants to comment on mine/send theirs feel free! Curious how others felt about the season.
7x04 7x09 7x06 7x05 7x08 7x07 7x01 7x02 7x10 7x03
7x04 and 7x09 are really close, it was hard to decide which would be #1 but ultimately I just felt like 7x04 was so well done all around and truly got the best out of every single actor/character. Every scene was so well done and Stefania did an amazing job directing and the script was just really great. I think 7x09 was more of a sentimental feel due to it being close to the end and all of the Easter eggs being purposely added in which is why it's a close second and of course the cliffhanger was incredibly done. One of the best things the show has ever done. It really set up and built up the start of the wildfire perfectly while also going back to its roots of what the show is really all about.
While I was initially on the fence about how many flashbacks there ended up being in episode 6, seeing it again I didn't mind it so much. It gave us insight on parts of the character's lives that we didn't see before, we got a cute Marina scene (though forever pissed the kiss was cut and hearing Peter say it was because it didn't add to the story really pisses me the hell off but I digress) and I thought it was an incredible episode for Vic's storyline. And it really showed what happens when her presence is there for the team and when it isn't and how much she matters despite her being so close to her breaking point and eventually reaching it. The Travic scenes were beautiful, the debriefing, it was all really great a second time through.
With episode 5, I think I was still on a high from Stefania's episode that made me think it was better than it actually ended up being lol. Watching it again, there were a lot of things that annoyed me. Something that annoyed me the whole time was the way they went about the whole Maya/Beckett part, which doesn't surprise me (especially since Emily was involved) since they have always had that man go without being accountable for his actions and making Maya out to be the only one who did something wrong as if he didn't full on bully her for months but whatever...it also felt like more picking on Maya when all of them were so cold towards her as she got back on shift and was so happy about Liam and no one was happy for her. I get they had just gone through a rough 24 hours but it was just a tough watch and it would've been nice if later on in the episode at least someone said they were happy for her or pointed out how she's come a long way or something but again we never get to see the team being supportive of her so not surprising. And while I liked that Carina got her own storyline and handled a 'call' that ended up connecting to feelings that reminded her of Andrew, I just wonder why that never happened in the past and why it couldn't be something we saw more often. It felt like it would've been more beneficial to see the doctor's appointment as it was a huge plot point in Carina's storyline, finding out that she couldn't get pregnant with her eggs after all this time of wanting it and trying and Stefania would've nailed those scenes. But the Marina scene was perfect at the end and it still had some good in it.
I really like that episode 8 focused on the clinic and we got to see Carina shine with her own storyline, something that once again we should have seen regularly. But I think they did all the storylines within the clinic very well. And loved that they started the episode off with Marina's embryo transfer and we got worried/protective Maya at the clinic too. Episode 7 I had high expectations for and ultimately didn't deliver so that's why it's in the middle. The Maya/Mason stuff was really good, the call was good, but I'll never understand why we had to see Theo join an independent group after he quit 19 and why that took up so much time. I also wasn't too fond of how cold Vic/Travis were towards Maya and her hormones. They continued doing this whole contrast between Maya's hormones and Ben's hormones that ended up being a little too much for me and I get they were going comedic with Travic but it seemed too harsh tbh. And we all know how the episode went downhill from the Maya/Beckett scene and on so...
Episodes 1 and 2 are probably tough to even say much about since they were plotted out before the cancellation but I found the premiere to be just okay. It did set up the season alright and had a lot going on like most premiere's do and I think the Crisis One call with Vic was really good but Ghost Jack was so unnecessary to me and didn't add anything of substance. Andy's speech about being better than every captain was so off putting again when she hadn't done a single thing yet. Episode 2 just had way too much going on and half of it felt unnecessary, especially the Beckett plot. We really had to meet his extended family? Yet we couldn't get a single scene of backstory about Carina in 5 seasons...just infuriating. The whole Tremmett plot was seriously useless considering it didn't end up meaning anything later on for Travis so we basically sat through two gay sex scenes for no good reason. Part of me had hoped the clinic patient zero thing would actually affect Marina and the Liam thing for the drama of it all but I guess they didn't have time for any of that. Also the fact that Liam meeting the team was a montage moment will forever piss me off, even if it was supposed to be Jack's 'moment' since he was leaving. They also deserved that moment to be their own and with dialogue since they were finally bringing their baby home.
The finale and Pride episode are pretty self explanatory and have been discussed a lot and my feelings didn't really change on those. It's incredibly sad that the one Pride episode of the series has to be last on the list but the fact that they not only had their longest lasting lgbtq+ couple heavily involved in their Pride episode but they didn't even speak words to each other? Just incredibly insulting and unacceptable. Everything about that episode rubbed me the wrong way. And the finale was just incredibly underwhelming after the amazing cliffhanger the episode before. Too much emphasis on flash forward 'visions' that are up for interpretation instead of focus on the present with these characters we weren't going to see anymore. Would have much preferred them just do a time jump sort of montage at the end with concrete things that did happen with the characters.
#asks#anon#station 19#this got long so ill be impressed if anyone actually reads it all lol#now i have to do the marina scenes one

IF YOU ARE BORED I WILL APPEAR: the 100 for the in depth fandom questions đđ
Excellent timing, I just sent you an ask, too! :D Thanks babe. <3 I feel like I have so much more to say than I just did but the inspiration seems to have bailed on me. Oh well. If you have any follow-up questions hmu!
Top 5 favorite characters: Octavia, Echo, Lexa, Lincoln, Murphy Other characters you like: Gaia, Raven, Emori, Monty, Harper, Diyoza Least favourite characters: Clarke, Abby, Kane Otps: Octavia and Lincoln, Lexa and Clarke, Bellamy and Echo Notps: Bellamy and Clarke, basically anything involving Abby Favourite friendships: Murphy and Raven, Monty and Jasper Favourite family: Spacekru Favourite episodes: 4x10, 5x02, probably more but I canât really think of anything else right now (I appreciated 7x02 but Iâm not quite sure yet if Iâm gonna call it a favorite, that will depend on how the rest of the season turns out) Favourite season: Season 2 Favourite quotes: âWeâre back, bitches!â âI donât choose pain. I choose life.â âNot everyone. Not you.â â You're the most beautiful broom in a broom closet of brooms.â â I can't change the tide if the moon won't cooperate. It's basic physics.â (Iâm including this last one because of an amazing Monty/Jasper gif set I saw once.) Best musical moment: Ehh... Well I stll tear up basically every time I hear Cloud by Elias, the song that played during Lincolnâs death scene. Itâs an amazing song and anything related Lincolnâs death still gets to me, not just because of the characters but also because of everything that went on with Ricky and everything he was put through, itâs just... itâs a very loaded moment in the series as well as behind the scenes. Iâm not sure âbestâ is the right word here but itâs the moment Iâm going with. Moment that made you fangirl the hardest: When Octavia became Skaikruâs champion. I found it rather poetic that a young woman who had been spat out by her community simply for being born was their only hope for survival. Plus, she looked incredible. When it really disappointed you: Itâs not just âa momentâ but Iâve been really disappointed by the showâs treatment of Octavia and how its hypocrisy concerning other characters who have done way worse shit than Octavia yet they are patted on the back and protected for it by the narrative. It aggravates me. Iâm not mad that Octavia has had it rough, when a character gets everything handed to them on a golden platter with no real consequences, thatâs boring. But it makes me mad that sheâs the only one who has to pay for her mistakes and none of the others have to, and the way the characters are now comfortable joking about what has been the most traumatizing, horrifying and scarring thing anyone has ever had to go through really pisses me off. Octavia deserves so much better, the show really dropped the ball here. Iâm also extremely disappointed by the way the show handled Lexaâs death. Octavia survived a sword through the gut and falling off a big ass cliff, but Lexa canât take a stray bullet in the presence of someone who is meant to be a doctor? I mean I get that this was supposed to prove that weâre all vulnerable and that even Lexa, Heda of the thirteen clans canât escape death, but come on. Also the way Jason treated the Clexa fandom was gross. Saddest moment: The moment Bellamy called Octavia âthe queen of cannibalsâ. Up until that point I held onto hope that things would get better, that the show would still turn things around, that everything Octavia had been put through would be put into perspective when she could tell the one she loved the most about the horrors the bunker put her through. But when Bellamy called her that, it was made clear that not only did he find out about the most traumatizing part of his sisterâs life (and itâs not like it lacked trauma before) but he also didnât care. It was the moment where I had to give up hope that they could ever get to a place where I would respect and care for their dynamic again and it made me sad, because Octavia deserved so much better. Most well done character death: Oh god, this is a difficult one, because I have issues with most of the main charactersâ deaths lol. So Iâm gonna go with Nia for this one, because I really liked that Lexa recognized who the real threat was and took matters into her own hands and did what she could to maintain the coalition. I canât think of another death that I didnât hate. Favourite guest star: Probably Jessica Harmon Favourite cast member: Marie Avgeropoulos Character you wish was still alive: Lincoln, hands down. So many things would be different right now if he had still been around. One thing you hope really happens: I hope Bellamy and Echo are endgame and not just that, I also hope that the show will allow Bellamy to treat Echo with the love and respect she deserves. Because so far the show hasnât really shown their relationship much respect and most of the effort is coming from Echoâs side and I donât care much for that. Bellamy clearly loves her a lot, so I hope the writers will let him show and prove that to us in the final season. Most shocking twist: I donât really think the 100 is good at shocking twists? You see most of them coming from miles away lol. When did you start watching: When it came out, basically. :) Best animal/creature: Helios! Favourite location: Ehh... Iâm gonna go with the dropship or Arkadia, not because I love those places so much but because theyâre where the showâs best seasons (one and two) basically happened. Trope you wish they would stop using: BYG One thing this show does better than others: Pissing off its fanbase! :âD Funniest moments: Most of Monty and Jasperâs interactions in the earlier seasons, those two were amazing. Couple you would like to see: I wish the show would make Niylah and Octavia a thing even if I donât passionately ship it. I also became a huge fan of Clarke and Gaia! Actor/Actress you want to join the cast: I really donât know anyone for this question... Iâm a big fan of Kristen Stewart so Iâd probably be thrilled with that, but itâs not something that I actively want or anything. Favourite outfit: Ehh... As much as I hate to say this, Clarke does get the best outfits and I think Iâm gonna go with the dress she wore early in season 6. Iâm also a huge fan of Octaviaâs grounder look bw. Favourite item: Lincolnâs diary Do you own anything related to this show: Nope What house/team/group/friendship group/family/race etc would you be in: Well I donât know which one I would be in, but Spacekru or Trikru seem like the most fun so Iâd want to be a part of one of those! Most boring plotline: I never really cared for the City of Light although I will admit that storyline had a lot of potential, Iâm just not sure the show really handled that well? Most laughably bad moment: The fact that Clarke just becomes anyoneâs leader anywhere while not doing anything for it. And how fast she was forgiven and integrated into Spacekru in season 6 while doing the bare minimum to work for their forgiveness and showing no signs of remorse or wanting to change. Best flashback/flashfoward if any: I really liked the flashbacks of Octaviaâs childhood, they did a good job of portraying what life had been like for her and it helped us understand her character better, even if they were short and limited to one episode. I also really enjoyed watching Octavia during those ten years in Skyring, but Iâm not sure those qualify as a flashback and I do have some issues with them, still, so Iâm gonna go ahead and stick with 1x06. Most layered character: Octavia, hands down Most one dimensional character: Oh god, how do I answer this... Of the core group I guess I would go with Raven. And that isnât because I donât love her, because I very much do, itâs the showâs fault for not really digging into anything thatâs related to her. Sheâs just in the background until they need her to fix a problem theyâve been having or until they need someone to be tortured, or lately when they need to make Clarke look less horrible. She just doesnât really get much else to work with, we donât know what motivates her, we barely see her feel a type of way about the things sheâs put through and when she does get a voice, itâs obviously meant to create sympathy for other characters so... yeah. Scariest moment: I donât find it a very scary show hahaha. Grossest moment: The graphic scene of Lincolnâs execution, it was in such poor taste, especially considering everything that had been going on with Jrot and Ricky. Best looking male: Murphy Best looking female: Octavia and Echo Who youâre crushing on (if any): Octavia and Echo Favourite cast moment: Ehh, I donât really keep up with the cast so idk? I did love Marie calling Echo Octaviaâs sister-in-law though. Favourite transportation: None I think, I donât really care? Most beautiful scene (scenery/shot wise): The one that comes to mind right away is the one of Octavia swimming towards the surface after she ran into the anomaly, itâs just such a pretty shot. Other than that, well, The 100 is shot in a beautiful environment so a lot of their scenery is gorgeous but I just immediately thought of this one. Unanswered question/continuity issue/plot error that bugs you: Jasonâs blabbing about the damn worms. The way 3x01 felt completely disconnected from everything that happened in 2x16 also still bugs me. And how it feels as if the new writers never really saw the previous seasons and instead just read character descriptions, I feel like they didnât really grasp the relationships and stuff like that in season 6. Best promo: Ehh, I usually just watch the episodes so I donât really have an opinion about this. Loved the uproar the one for season 7 caused, though, because Iâm a sucker for drama hahaha. At what point did you fall in love with this show/book: As soon as I met Octavia, sheâs my baby and you will have to take her from my cold. dead. hands.
Send me a show/fandom and Iâll answer
