Things to Look for in the Geneva Bible Facsimile Reproduction
In the history of Bible translations, the Geneva Bible occupies a special place. It preceded the KJV (King James Version) by 51 years. Considered the most influential Bible, which was also the primary Bible of 16th century Protestantism, the Geneva Bible found its users in Oliver Cromwell, William Shakespeare, John Bunyan, John Donne, and John Knox.
This was the first English Bible that had its scriptures segregated into numbered verses. Since its publication was an enormous achievement, owning the 1560 Geneva Bible is worth every dime you spend to acquire it. But not everyone will find its steep price affordable.
For them, a facsimile reproduction of the Geneva Bible will be worth considering. This Bible was widely read throughout the 16th and 17th centuries and played a large role in boosting the rate of scripture literacy among England’s public.
Things You Should Look For in the Geneva Bible Facsimile Reproduction
The Geneva Bible had some unique features, knowing which will help you check and ensure your facsimile reproduction too comes with them. To begin with, each chapter of this Bible had numbered verses.
A key factor behind the Geneva Bible’s popularity was its “study resources,” which referred to the marginal notes. The translators of this Bible included these notes to help the common people easily understand the Bible. These marginal notes comprised almost 300,000 words, which was approximately one-third of the text.
At the time the Geneva Bible was published, Gothic Black letter-style typeface was commonly used. However, the Geneva Bible deviated from the norm and used a Roman-style typeface instead, which was easy to use for its readers.
The original 1560 Geneva Bible had 30+ woodcut maps and illustrations depicting Biblical views. Some of the notable among these were the labeled images of the Tabernacle and the Ark of the Covenant. The Geneva Bible also had the Apocrypha.
When buying a facsimile reproduction of the Geneva Bible, you should check if the copy has all these unique features that the original had, thus ensuring your purchase is worth it.
Final Words
Keep all these features in mind when shopping for the Geneva Bible’s facsimile to ensure you get an authentic facsimile reproduction and not a cheap replica with missing pages and features.

Psalm 90: Moses meditates on the shortness of life and asks God about His anger and wrath.
Hebrews 9:27: "It is appointed unto man once to die and after that the judgment".
Acts 17:31: One will stand before God's appointed judge, and riches will not help.
Matthew 7:1-2 "Do not judge, or you too will be judged" is often misinterpreted as a call not to judge. However, Jesus also says to judge correctly and with righteousness.
John 7:24 : Jesus says to "stop judging by mere appearances, but instead judge correctly".

How great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee! and done to them that trust in thee, even before the sons of men!
Thou dost hide them privily in thy presence from the pride of men: thou keepest them secretly in thy Tabernacle from the strife of tongues.
Blessed be the Lord: for he hath showed his marvelous kindness toward me in a strong city. Though I said in mine haste, I am cast out of thy sight, yet thou heardest the voice of my prayer, when I cried unto thee.
Love ye the Lord all his Saints: for the Lord preserveth the faithful, and rewardeth abundantly the proud doer.
All ye that trust in the Lord, be strong, and he shall establish your heart.
Psalm 31

Psalm 56
1 Be merciful unto me, O God, for man would swallow me up: he fighteth continually and vexeth me.
2 Mine enemies would daily swallow me up: for many fight against me, O thou most High.
3 When I was afraid, I trusted in thee.
4 I will rejoice in God, because of his word, I trust in God, and will not fear what flesh can do unto me.
5 Mine own words grieve me daily: all their thoughts are against me to do me hurt.
6 They gather together, and keep themselves close: they mark my steps, because they wait for my soul.
7 They think they shall escape by iniquity: O God, cast these people down in thine anger.
8 Thou hast counted my wanderings; put my tears into thy bottle; are they not in thy register?
9 When I cry, then mine enemies shall turn back; this I know, for God is with me.
10 I will rejoice in God because of his word; in the Lord will I rejoice because of his word.
11 In God do I trust; I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.
12 Thy vows are upon me, O God, I will render praises unto thee.
13 For thou hast delivered my soul from death, and also my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living.

The Ten Commandments
1 Then Moses called all Israel, and said unto them, Hear, O Israel, the ordinances and the laws which I propose to you this day, that ye may learn them, and take heed to observe them.
2 The Lord our God made a covenant with us in Horeb.
3 The Lord made not this covenant with our fathers only, but with us, even with us all here alive this day.
4 The Lord talked with you face to face in the Mount, out of the midst of the fire.
5 (At that time I stood between the Lord and you, to declare unto you the word of the Lord: for ye were afraid at the sight of the fire, and went not up into the mount) and he said,
6 ¶ I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
7 Thou shalt have none other gods before my face.
8 Thou shalt make thee no graven image or any likeness of that that is in heaven above, or which is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters under the earth.
9 Thou shalt neither bow thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, even unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me:
10 And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
11 Thou shalt not take the Name of the Lord thy God in vain: for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his Name in vain.
12 Keep the Sabbath day to sanctify it, as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee.
13 Six days thou shalt labor, and shalt do all thy work:
14 But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God: thou shalt not do any work therein, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maid, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, neither any of thy cattle, nor the stranger that is within thy gates: that thy manservant and thy maid may rest as well as thou.
15 For, remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the Lord thy God brought thee out thence by a mighty hand, and a stretched out arm: therefore the Lord thy God commanded thee to observe the Sabbath day.
16 ¶ Honor thy father and thy mother, as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee, that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee upon the land, which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
17 Thou shalt not kill.
18 Neither shalt thou commit adultery.
19 Neither shalt thou steal.
20 Neither shalt thou bear false witness against thy neighbor.
21 Neither shalt thou covet thy neighbor’s wife, neither shalt thou desire thy neighbor’s house, his field, nor his manservant, nor his maid, his ox, nor his ass, nor ought that thy neighbor hath.
22 ¶ These words the Lord spake unto all your multitude in the mount of the midst of the fire, the cloud and the darkness, with a great voice, and added no more thereto: and wrote them upon two tables of stone, and delivered them unto me. — Deuteronomy 5:1-22 | 1599 Geneva Bible (GNV) Geneva Bible, 1599 Edition. Contemplation Seed 13
Saying 13: “Imagination is the key to the kingdom of god.” What is the kingdom of god? It is the realm of god. Each heart is a home within this realm. God is as a king to us and we are subject to IT. The translation from Hebrew “I am that I am” (Exodus 3:14) is, more properly, rendered “I will be that which I will be.” (translated by Dr. Naomi Wolf, Outspoken Podcast; Geneva Bible Reading…

Turn away mine eyes from regarding vanity, and quicken me in thy way.
Stablish thy promise to thy servant, because he feareth thee.
Take away my rebuke that I fear: for thy judgments are good.
Behold, I desire thy commandments: quicken me in thy righteousness.
