jk rowling: wrote a childrens book series in the 2000s about a society of outcasts, which attracted a lot of queer fans because of its themes on acceptance. comes out as transphobic, tweets out "merry terfmas 😘," and proceeds to write a crime novel about a man who disguises himself as a woman to kill people
eoin colfer: wrote a childrens book series in the 2000s that he describes as "die hard but with fairies," which attracted a lot of queer fans because he accidentally gave his male protagonist a feminine name. is confused but supportive of his largely queer fanbase, leaves nice comments on trans artemis fanart, and proceeds to have one of the protagonists in the sequel series marry a ghost princess inhabiting the clone body of her evil uncle, which when she asks if its weird, the protagonist responds with “Maybe people would think you strange back in the olden days, but kids these days don’t care about stuff like insides and outsides matching”

I have a question for the twins! What mythical creature do you wish you were?
Hey mod, have you looked at the number of characters or notes on the posts from MOD? The No.1 Anon (how does that anon use anon if it's disabled? weird) was talking abt numbers. Your whole puzzle is beyond me, I'm no Artemis Fowl, I congratulate you for not having a mental breakdown and moving across the world to leave everything behind.
Myles: I'd be a bai ze, or hakutaku in Japanese myth. They were all-knowing ox-creatures thought to ward off evil spirits.
Beckett: I'd be a heckin' DRAGON!
Tumblr media
Mod: It's cool, the puzzles were a way to avoid a breakdown. It was only half-successful, heheh.

myles: *labours for three whole days to figure out the passcode to artemis's lab*
myles: *refuses to tell beckett what it is*
myles: *heads outside and immediately falls into a suspiciously large hole*
myles, who has the physical capabilities of a glue stick: HELP
beckett, who took less than three seconds to dig said hole: gimme the passcode bitch

Myles would be the type of guy to just fangirl (in a Fowl way) over Dune or sm like. just straight analysing each scene and rereading the trilogy every night etc. etc.
And he'd lore dump to Beckett and he'd kinda be a bit indifferent (still listening intently tho ofc) but then Myles would mention the Muad'dib or the worms and he'd suddenly gain interest bc. creature

I just started rereading Artemis Fowl, and now I’m very confused about Lazuli’s genetics.
Spoilers for the end of The Fowl Twins book 3
So, Lazuli is supposed to be a hybrid of elf and pixie with a little bit of goblin, and at the end of the last book it was revealed that her mom was the fairy that Artemis gets the fairy bible from. Initially I thought this was really cool, but while rereading the first book I realized that her mom is a sprite? Does that mean that her dad is also a pixel with a bit of goblin, and Lazuli’s phenotype just doesn’t show any sprite traits?
I considered that maybe Artemis mistook the fairy for a sprite when she actually wasn’t, but that seems unlikely since she had green skin, which as far as I know is only a trait that sprites have.

So I managed to find a copy of the first Fowl Twins book on the internet archive and finished it within two days. I'm not sure if it was an earlier manuscript or something but that was easily the most flaunting Eoins done in his writing. Halfway through it I was like God damn, he's *really* flexing here. But again, I dunno if that was a "beta version" or something. But it was enjoyable, to be sure.
It reaches a level of absurdity of character traits that bordered on anime levels of wtf, which I appreciate greatly.
Seriously, a 150 year old fancy pants British noble, a fucking nun, and an extremely small troll?
And then the twins, my God the twins. Two different kinds of autistic, and yet they work so well together.
Much like the book, tbqh. My only gripe is that Lazuli felt a bit under developed in terms of her backstory. We learn alot about her being a hybrid, but not alot about her life and personality. But I'm sure we'll get more in a later book.
Also the opportunity to see Holly made me so happy.

My favorite number is 26040566546403670636635, what's yours?
Artemis: We are not answering this question, because no one in this bloody found family respects me, and so their answer will inevitably be:
Holly, Juliet, Mulch, Foaly, Beckett, Lazuli, Doodah, Minerva, Vinyaya, Lili, etc.: 4.
Myles: The only correct answer can be Fibonacci sequence, as it is the formula for perfection.
Beckett: Of course you'd ruin the joke.
Myles: I never joke about numbers.

Beckett has to have called Artemis "Arty-Farty" and "Fartemis" in addition to "Simple-toon" when he was a toddler
Actually hey internet can I get some art of that?

Is that how it’s pronounced? I always read it as ‘Nani’ like LILO’s sister in ‘Lilo & Stitch’. Which Disney’s remaking, but as a mid-budget Disney+ film and also less acknowledgement of the racism Native Hawaiians experience like the original film had that was cut down, which is a shame, because I always though a remake had a potential to be a franchise if they planned out three films and a television series before getting started on casting; so that one wouldn’t have to worry about the new Lilo actress getting too old too quickly. Plus it would have been a Disney-level production making jobs for the Hawaiian community consistently for several many years. Leroy, Jacque Von Hamsterville, everybody. Would have been spectacular. Anyway, still will be seeing the film anyway.
uhhhh is this about NANNI from The Fowl Twins otherwise I have no idea... (Assuming you were asking for that) To me the short form itself is like a word play of 'nanny', a caregiver, so yeah it does sounds like 'Nani'
