Absolutely floored by this difference. Sephiroth's waist apparently stayed the same size between age 14 and age 25+ but the rest of him sure as fuck didn't.

okay here are my theories about Alissa, all straight out my notes app (spoilers for the first soldier)

jenova poisoned the planet/lifestream so it's able to manipulate reality/disguise itself as its prey

when the necklace with the picture of Lucrecia falls into the torrent, Jenova's memetics legacy uses the dead body of p0 soldier to get closer to Sephiroth and makes it so it resembles Lucrecia from the picture - it doesn't exactly have her memories, but it knows how she looked like. that would explain why she's badly injured but doesn't want to go back and get checked out

the camera glitches when Alissa (and/or the purple orbs) is on screen, sometimes very visibly around her outlines, I believe it's because her looks might be just a fatamorgana/manipulation on the body (as someone already noticed cameras tend to glitch around ghosts; maybe those are poisoned souls?? I have no idea really)

or the body's been hidden by Alissa, and Alissa herself is just some kinda ghost-like being, although Angeal grabs her hand, so she must be physical in some capacity

as to why she says she's second class I have no idea. maybe the real Alissa Goldie was one, but her uniform looks exactly like a P0 uniform. or that's a way to also get closer to Sephiroth, or a reference to the fact that she came from the poisoned lifestream (is infused with mako by default)?? my best guess would be those are just memories of the real Alissa, and maybe the copied body was someone else's entirely

on the P0 uniform - maybe there's some significance to this, maybe not, but the current SOLDIERs wear the sleeveless turtleneck and long puffy pants (plus the helmet), while Alissa wears the exact same outfit as Lucia - maybe they were just reusing assets, or maybe I'm onto something? heheh

there's also this apparition of Hojo surrounded by purple flames (just like these purple orbs that follow Alissa around) - which makes me believe the Hojo we see is not the real one, just some kind of memory/hallucination Sephiroth sees

also she acts really weird lol. I know she's fucked up under that goody-goody facade 😈
