Initially Alfie wasn't really on board when it came to getting another dog, but not for the reasons you might think.

He was afraid Cyril would feel replaced by the new puppy.

Yes, he was a more caring man than he'd initially let on, but still Alfie was convinced that you fell for his whole song and dance about "no more bloody dogs an' that is final, that!" and he wouldn't have to explain.

Of course you didn't believe him, not even for a second. You knew Alfie better than anyone, but not even your reasoning could get through that tough and stubborn exterior.

Sometimes Alfie got too deep in one of his foul moods and you just had to wait it out.

He of course remained convinced that you believed his poorly constructed facade and that would be the end of that.

Unfortunately for Alfie, his wife remained something of a certified expert in dealing with his moody nature and so you devised a plan.

A plan as cunning as that husband of yours.

You already knew that with Alfie the more revealing truths of his character were the things carefully left out of the narrative and so tricking him remained the only option.

But tricking a trickster, well, that looked roughly as easy as stealing from the king of thieves.

So you took a page out of your husband's book and terrorised Ollie until he joined your little charade.

"Mrs. Solomons, I'd rather we didn't sneak around the office..." "But I am Mrs. Solomons, aren't I?" "Well, yes...?" "So what's mine is his I reckon, blah, blah, blah, 'till death do us part, all that jazz, now hold the door for me, will ya?" "Mrs. Solomons, but your husband doesn't like it!" "Cheer up Ollie, darling, I'll just be a second! Now, where does he keep the bandages?" "Mrs. Solomons, are you... Fuck! What is that?!" "That is a dog, darling, don't look so shocked... Hand me that bottle." "Mrs. Solomons, I know what dogs are and this ain't it!"

You see, the charade had to be believable.

It had to work.

So the dog had to mean something more than just a dog, you had to give it all a believable story.

As fate would have it, you overheard your neighbours gossiping about a gang holding illegal dog fights near Whitechapel.

So you recruited four biggest members of Alfie's gang and got yourself a dog.

Or two.

Or ten.

"Got" would be the term used loosely here, truth be told you stole them all and ordered the men behind the ring executed, but potato, potat-oh.

All of the poor creatures were given a good loving home, except one that looked both the scariest and the most injured.

That one you decided to keep and with Ollie's reluctant help you managed to clean up most of his wounds.

Perhaps the greatest surprise of all was Alfie's reaction.

Contrary to his usual habits he said nothing as soon as he entered the office.

He looked at you, then at the dog, then at Ollie.

You chose your best impression of a deer in the headlights for the occasion.

(Granted, Ollie got the worst of the squinting and a very menacing hum thrown in there just to let him know who's boss and that the aforementioned was very much disapproving of the impromptu gathering in his own private office, thanks very much.)

As soon as Ollie left, though, the dog was given a proper introduction and all your worries left you when you saw Alfie smile under all that beard and initial suspicion.

You figured, though, that if you were to keep your husband on your toes, you'd expect nothing less in return.

Does personal lore mean it has to be about me?? I'm gonna assume yes?? I can't tell what this question wants. My personal lore is that I hated reading for most of my life. I mean more than 80% of my life. Ironic, I know. It's still incredibly difficult for me to pick up a book and just read! Somehow this did not transfer to fanfic. It's one of the few things I can read without getting fatigue.

🍄 ⇢ share a head canon for one of your favourite ships or pairing

Let's stick with good old Zack and Sephiroth for this one. I head Canon Zack is very good at brushing Sephiroth's hair. HOWEVER, in the wing AUs where Sephiroth's wing appears while he's still sane, Zack is garbage at preening. It takes too long! It's not intentional that he gets impatient and less and less careful. This has lead to tearing multiple chunks of feathers from brushing too fast.

The biggest problem is accidentally ripping a feather out from its root. Sephiroth's instincts kick in and he suddenly attacks the offender, no matter who it is. He only injures Zack once before having enough control to stop himself. Zack never holds it against him. It becomes a quiet night of the two being close until Sephiroth no longer feels overwhelming guilt for what he's done.

Sorry, got a little carried away. A well known bit of personal lore: everything I write becomes angst.

Hojo is incredibly interesting. Yes the man is a complete sociopath, but I cannot deny the steps to his madness and how it grew throughout the game and fascinating to me.

I really don't have many unpopular opinions (at least not with the Tumblr crowd). Ships though? Different story.

So in The Last Straw, I came up with this completely bullshit idea: a child with a significantly higher concentration of Jenova cells cannot absorb any nutrients except meat based protein (or the lab made equivalent). This is based off the fact that Jenova in that world survives on the lifestreams of planets, and if you look at a food chain and think of the planet as one more link, Her species is Always a predator.

I realize now, after writing all of this, that the question does ask for backstory. Woops.

Anyway, I was trying to BS a name for this condition. Then I found the significantly less severe condition of malabsorption. On a surface level, it's a condition where the body does not absorb nutrients/absorb them properly. So because this was so different than anything else I've researched, it sticks out.

The blond landed on the vehicle and Strife swiftly removed the blade. Every second they wasted on this transition meant more firepower on the truck. Cloud grabbed the handlebars with his left hand and the Buster Sword with his right. Together they swept through Shinra's ground forces, men knocked off their vehicles and onto the unforgiving pavement.

I don't think I've ever written a tickle fic with lee Sirius ler Remus and I find that to be insulting so here ya go, I'm throwing this fic at you

ive had a busy week so I'm srry for being kinda inactive lol

its been a bit tiring but hopefully writing this will help relax me or smth along those lines

So yeah enjoy

"Oh, Sirius!!" Remus called in a sing song voice as he waltzed over to where Sirius was lightly dozing in the cool spring weather, his tie carelessly thrown off to the side.

Sirius jolted awake and sat up, fixing his appearance.

"Y-yeah, what's up?" He replied.

"Since you keep tormenting me I've decided I am long overdue for some payback," Remus said nonchalantly. "Lay down, arms up."

"What?!" Sirius exclaimed, his face turning a light pink. "No way in hell am I just letting you tickle me."

"Oh, so you are ticklish?" Remus teased.

"What, no!" Sirius' face darkened.

"Cause I wasn't sure about you being ticklish, but now~" he said, a mischievous grin emplated on his face.

Before Sirius could run away from Remus and his plans of torture, Remus grabbed his ankles and pulled him downwards so that he was laying flat on his back.

Remus scrambled to pin Sirius' hands, and sat down on his waist so that he couldn't get up.

"Remus!! Let me goho!" Sirius shouted, tugging at his arms that were pinned above his head by Remus' surprisingly strong arms.

"Oh I'll let you go," Remus said absent-mindedly as he looked Sirius up and down, deciding where to go for first. "But not before I've thoroughly subjected you to my tickly wrath."

He pinned Sirius' hands under his knees, facing them so that he was unable to squeeze his knees.

He grinned when Sirius realized how screwed he was.

"Soo~" he hummed, wiggling his fingers above Sirius' stomach causing Sirius to yelp. "Where shall we start?"

"D-dohohon't-" Sirius squealed when Remus' wiggling fingers moved up to his ribs, hovering just above the skin.

"Don't what?" Remus asked, tilting his head in mock confusion.

"Tickle me!" Sirius fell for the oldest trick in the book, but he always did.

"Okay!" Remus replied cheerfully and promptly dug his teasing hands into Sirius' hyper sensative belly.

Sirius shrieked, arching his back and cackling.

"NOHOHO- nAHahAh!!" Sirius' back came crashing down and instead he opted for wiggled his body left to right to attempt to escape the tickle torment.

"Do you like belly rubs, Padfoot?" Remus teased switching his method to vibrating his hand into his tummy.

Sirius frantically shook his head, not managing to get a word out.

"No, you don't? You seem to be smiling quite alot for someone who doesn't like belly rubs." Remus said slipping his hand underneath his shirt to gently trace on Sirius' soft belly.

This only seemed to make Sirius laugh harder though.

"REHEHEMUS!! IT TIHIHICKLES!!" He arched his back once more which only pushed Remus' fingers more into his tummy.

Remus removed his hands from Sirius" stomach, giving him a break.

He leaned forward and kissed Sirius' warm cheeks while Sirius huffed and panted, but he leaned into the affection.

"Is-is ihit over?" Sirius huffed and looked up at Remus with puppy dog eyes, which always worked on Remus.

Remus hummed and contemplated letting Sirius go.

"Not yet, love," he decided. "I still have a few more spots to try. Then I'll let you go, m'kay?"

"Ohokay.." he answered. "Anything f-for our Moony.."

"Good boy," he rewarded Sirius with a kiss on the forehead.

Remus leaned down and squeezed Sirius' knees, a spot that was deadly on himself but had no affect on Sirius besides some light squirming.

"Hmm.." Remus moved his squeezing hands to Sirius' thighs and the reaction was instantaneous.

He let out a high pitched shriek and started laughing once more when Remus didn't stop.

"WhyHYHY DOHOES THAT TIHICKLE?!" He complained through his giggles.

"What a ticklish little doggo," he leaned up and continued the vibrating belly rubs with one of his hands while the other continued squeezing his thighs, up and down. "tickle, tickle, Sirius~"

"NAHAHEHEHEE!!!" He threw his head back again, tugging his arms.

Remus stopped the squeezing and vibrating but instead leaned up to raspberry his belly getting another shriek out of Sirius.

He continued his raspberries all over his stomach, ever daring to go over his naval.

When Remus leaned back up for air he was proud of the color of Sirius' face, and how he didn't stop laughing even though Remus wasn't tickling him anymore.

He stuck with the maddening light touches again but instead over on his sides, which weren't that sensitive.

Sirius did start giggling more significantly when Remus moved up to his ribs though which intrigued Remus.

The higher and higher he went the louder Sirius' laughter went and the squirming intensified.

He smirked and dug his hands into his armpits and when Sirius once more cackled and arched his back Remus blew a raspberry on his belly.

"REHEHEMUS!! STAHAHAP!!" He pleaded, his laughter becoming horse.

"Hmm.." Remus took his time thinking about stopping, prolonging having to stop.

"PLEHEHEASEE!!" He screamed, tugging at his arms fiercely.

Remus let go of his arms and took his hands away from Sirius' body, watching him calm down.

Sirius covered his face with his hands bur quiet giggles could still be heard.

"Lemme see that adorable face," Remus held Sirius' hands and stroked them with his thumbs.

"There you are." He kissed Sirius on the lips this time, feeling the heat off of Sirius' face and let Sirius giggle through the kiss.

"I like you like this," Remus said after pulling away. "You're all nice and giggly."

"Shut up.." Sirius huffed, looking away.

"I don't think you wanna be saying stuff like that to me in your position right now," Remus grinned, briefly scribbling on his belly again getting an indignant "hey!" out of Sirius.

Remus rolled over off of Sirius and lay next to him, holding his hand and looking up at the clouds.

They lay in silence for a while, enjoying each other's company.

"I think you're more ticklish than I am." Remus broke the silence.

"Oi," Sirius nudged a giggling Remus. "Don't push it."

My only rules are that I ask you not to send more than 3 requests per person, but I'm more than happy for you to send me up to 3 requests, you can vary the character or stick with one in particular. Although, I will just say that if I'm not feeling the prompts with one character or I've written a lot of those prompts/for that character, I may not write the request or it may get pushed back.

Hi anon! This is a great question! Sorry it took me so long to get around to answering! This made me really think, cause I think for the most part I really focus on our LIs and not the MCs/OCs. Also, this is not in order! It’s just what my squirrel brain comes up with first 🤣

Perfect Match F!MC - I named her Steph - I love how PM feels so fictional, yet real and exciting. Steph romanced Damien and I love their banter, relationship, everything. She is just so sassy, punny, and overall a great character. I feel like most of the older books have great storylines and great characters all around.

My F!OC Natalia York - I made Natalia for a Red Carpet Diaries AU after the disaster they called RCD 3 was released. I personally felt like RCD’s MC was a complete airhead, selfish, and didn’t really care about including her future husband in any wedding planning. I won’t get started on that whole thing 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣 Anywho, I love Natalia because she is so elegant and graceful. She’s so kind and her past has not been easy yet she doesn’t show that part of her. She keeps her walls up much like her counterpart, Thomas. I feel like sometimes I don’t write her well enough and I feel like I don’t do her justice.

@alj4890’s Amanda Bridgerton (F!OC) - This lady right here, I cannot say enough about her. The writer and the character 🤣 my friend created such a unique OC that started out as a match for Maxwell (TRR) and slowly transitioned into a match for Thomas (RCD) and I am so happy 😂 I may feel bad for Maxwell, but not enough to not be happy about Amanda and Thomas. Reading the fics with those two is just amazing because Amanda writes them so well. Every fic I read about the two shows a new light on their relationship. I just… I love them. They’re probably my favorite ship to read about on this app.

@liaromancewriter MAX! He is so awesome. I binge read all your fics and when I got to the ones with him, I fell in love 🥰 This is not taking away from Cassie and Ethan cause I love their dynamic 😍 But Max and Sienna are so freaking cute together! He is so supportive and I remember him being protective of his sis and then he met Sienna and ugh swoon. Love, love, love ❤️❤️❤️

@jerzwriter Casey… need I say more? 🤣 I love the relationship between her and Tobias. Add Ethan in there 🤌🏼 Chef’s kiss. I love how shameless she is and the way she treats her friends. She’s, overall, someone I’d wanna be friends with 😂 But even though this is a question for MCs and OCs, I’m gonna sneak this in here, the way you write Tobias is the best ever. I think you have his character down to a T and it just makes everything with Casey that much better. I feel like those two feed off each other and the stories you come up with are amazing and hilarious 😆

@lovealexhunt Bogart (OC? Right? 😂) I love how you’ve incorporated Thomas and Alex’s (RCD) pet into your fics and you’ve made him such an important part of their lives. It’s amazing to read about Alex and Bogart, they seem like two peas in a pod and I love how she’s created an IG page for him 🤣 He’s such a good doggo for letting his mom dress him up and take lots of pics with him 🥰

@alj4890 Jackson Nevrakis-Walker and Nichole "Nicky" Beaumont - future TRR - I feel like these two HAVE to be together. I couldn’t put them on separate lines 🤣 I’ve read TRR a couple of times now and I just couldn’t get into it like everyone else could. But then I read an RCD/ TRR crossover by my dear friend Amanda, and I learned it is pretty awesome and the characters are pretty amazing. Since then, she created these two in a later down the road TRR and I fell in love with their dynamic. The breakup to them feeling like they should try again. I love the similarities between Nicky and her mom. I just feel like I need more of these two cause they’re adorable together.

@ladylamrian Alex Fontaine - NB - her name makes her sound like a badass 💁🏼‍♀️ which I mean she has to be to deal with Nik 🤣 I love how she’s so happy to be with Nik even though he can be over protective, over bearing, and overall a jerk sometimes. She helps him see that he doesn’t need to be and deals with his attitude, but he does the same with her. You’ve created a happier spin on a couple that could have some dark personalities lol but I love how you write her with Nik ❤️

@cariantha Sawyer - OH - Idk how I haven’t asked to be on your taglist sooner, but oh my lanta I love her! Her relationship with Ethan is so sweet and I love the softness she brings out in him. I can’t wait to read more of her and learn more about her 😍

The Royal Masquerade MC - I named her Juliette - I love her tenacity and bravery. They wrote her to have pride, courage, but still be very down to earth. She’s witty and I personally think they have some of the best faces and hairstyles for TRM’s MC.

Current Obsessions: My weekly Call of Cthulhu game (of which I am GM/Keeper) has restarted after a multi-month hiatus, so I'm getting back into the swing of things with that (we're using "The Two-Headed Serpent" for our campaign, so much snek-related shenanigans are occurring). I'm currently planning out ideas for downtime activities between two of the pre-written campaign chapters. I have to determine if I'm capable of an Arnie and/or Jason Momoa impression for long enough without laughing, because one of our characters (a Scottish WW1 medical corps veteran turned professor of linguistics) is a direct linage descendant of Conan the Barbarian; his biological mothers are the Great Old One Yhoundeh and her sole remaining - as of the 1930s - human high priestess; his wife is a Hunting Horror and his boyfriend (his old CO from the Great War) is a Servant of Sobek (think Alfred from Batman if he was a really buff anthro crocodile man). Not to mention his adopted son from Borneo. Man's got a complicated life lmao.

Okay, so I'm doing Mac and Nate's story as series of one shots for big main quest and Mac backstory moments, and other companion stuff! (because throwaway memories or flashback just don't cut it ����) These are from Nate's POV!

I'm collectively calling them 'Memoirs of the Sole Survivor', which was actually the original title when I first started writing my main fic...It definitely works better for this series 😃

I've included some art and a screenshot at the end of this (under the read more) this chapter includes an OC reveals, and I've added some backstory stuff for Nate at the end (which I'm really excited about! 😊)

Oh and don't expect Canon...In this Fic Nate and his adopted kids (Mac and Piper) gotta go rescue Uncle Nicky with their Robo Bultler and Doggo (Mac and Hancock will be saying hi in chapter 2, and we will see Nick in 3!)

Nate's arc is just a found-family fluff fest 🙌🏻

Part one: Hangry. (somebody get this man a snickers!)

Characters: Nate, Codsworth, Piper, Dugmeat (only mentioned, but he's around)

Warnings: bad language (what can I say, he's an angry Scotsman)

Nate was sure his fingers would turn blue before the day ended, and he'd die from frostbite. That'd be his luck, surviving 200 years in a freezer to end up dying on his first day free. He shook his head, blowing warm air into his cupped hands as he dragged himself into the market, lured by the smell of something that might actually be edible.

"I say, is that a protectron?” Codsworth, bless his metal chassis, he's more excited to be traveling around the city than Elspeth had been the first day they landed in the states. And of course, him being wrapped around the bairn's wee finger, ended up traipsing around Boston with his miniature tour guide.

If there was one thing that sister of his liked, it was history, and she'd spent the months leading up to the move with her head tucked in every ruddy book she could find about their new home.

He still reckoned his legs were recovering from their visits to D.C—all those impressive monuments, and the lass's favourite memory was scurrying around in a damn cave that she had him driving nearly two hours from the Capital to visit.

He was just glad the novelty had worn off for that damn mole costume (which left him $100 out of pocket) before they began the half a day's drive back home. Then again, that would have been an experience, stopping for food with an overgrown Scottish mole, schooling the locals on spelunking.

"Sir? Are you quite alight?" Codworth's voice filtered through his thoughts, and Nate shook himself back to reality.

"Aye, son. Just thinking of our El," he sighed, swallowing back the lump in his throat. "She'd have mocked me senseless seeing what Fenway Park's become. She would've had a field day with this place."

Codsworth's eyestaks flitted. "I miss her too, Sir. She was quite the spirited young lady."

Nate chuckled, "Aye, that's one way to put it. Now, come on, let's go see what passes as food these days."

"Nani ni shimasu ka?"

"Same tae you son..." Nate cocked a brow, as he sat before the grub bot, whatever the hell it was cooking up smelled goddamn fantastic.

"Nani ni shimasu ka?" It repeated.

He sighed, "I dinna understand ye, ya daft tin can."

"Nani ni shimasu ka?"

Nate rubbed his temples, "Look, I just want something tae eat...please?"

"Nani ni shimasu ka?"

"Right you," Nate spat, managing to keep his voice low enough to not get security on his ass. "You've got two seconds to give me a bowl eh that food or I'll show ye "Nani shimmy-whatever-the-fuck-ye-said," he snapped, his stomach growling, as if to emphasise his point.

"Sir, I think you're letting your stomach force your hand again," Codsworth chirped, Nate's eyes stayed glued to the Protectron, tempted to shoot that stupid chef hat right off it's dome. "Allow me to translate."

"Nani ni shimasu ka?"

"Takahashi you say?"

"Nani ni shimasu ka?"

"Ah, I see," Cosworth swiveled to face him, "Master Nate, it appears in order to be served you must simply state "Yes," Takahashi here, poor fellow...it seems rust has gotten into his memory banks and that phrase is the only thing he is able to say."

"Nani ni shimasu ka?"

"Oh," Nate replied, straightening up on the stool, digging into his damn ass. "Aye...eh..." he leaned in a little closer. "yeeees," he drawled, and just like that Takahashi placed a steaming bowl of noodles before him. Nate smiled, his face lighting up, victory was gonna have a savory taste today. "Thank you, Takahashi, much appreciated. How much do I owe ye?"

"Nani ni shimasu ka?"

"It's twenty caps, Sir."

"Ye stinkin' thieving bastard!" Nate spat. "Here was me thinkin' we'd bonded, and all along you're just trying tae fleece us travellers!" he scowled, digging the required amount out and slamming them down. "You know, I should report ye to the local authorities for extortion, I should," he muttered. "Twenty blasted caps for a bowl eh...the fuck are these?" Nate frowned, picking up the two wooden sticks in his bowl.

"Chopsticks, sir, for eating. They are traditional utensils for aisian cuisine."

"And just how do you use these wee twigs, eh?" Nate glared, an eyebrow raising. "it's no like ye can stab a noodle," he leaned in even closer. "Takahashi, my man. Do. Ye. Have. A. Fork?" He asked, slowly enunciating each word as clearly as possible.

"Nani ni shimasu ka?"

"He says the choosticks are sufficient utensils for his dish, sir."

"Oh, did he aye? Well you tell Takahashi that am gonna sell him for scrap!" Nate ground his teeth as the chopsticks snapped in his clenched fist. "I'm gonna strip ye down tae nothing but bolts and screws! that's if I dinny keel 'er from starvation first!"

"Nani ni shimasu ka."

"That's it!" Nate growled, He reached for the pistol at his hip, before staring the bot down. "Cosworth, fire up that flamethrowe!"

"Blue!" Piper's voice had him holstering his weapon, pronto. "What are you doing!?"

"Teaching this bastard a lesson in basic manners, that's what!"

The reporter eyed his food, her arms crossing all suspiciously, head cocking to the side. "You have noodles, what's the problem?"

"I just want a fork!" Nate winged, leaning back off the stool, before slumping forward to let his head fall against the countertop. "I'm so bloody hungry, lass, I'm about tae lose the plot. It's a good job Dugmeat is wi' your Nat, 'cause I could eat a scabby dug right about now!" he knew he was being a sod, but the last time he was this hungry he had folks he could shoot at.

He felt a hand on his shoulder, and turned his head to see the wee reporter, sitting herself down on the seat next to him, looking at him with a cocky smirk. "Right next to you, Blue."

"What?" he lifted his head up, looking to his left. "Oh...thank the stars above," Nate dug into the little tray of forks and immediately started to shovel in his dinner, and damn if it wasn't the best thing he'd ever eaten—then again, that could be the hunger talking.

"Nani ni shimasu ka?"

"Ah, apologies Takahashi. Master Nate is not normally this...volatile," Codsworth explained, "It appears he is suffering from hunger induced aggression."

Nate spluttered, half choking on the broth he was now slurping down, wiping his chin with the back of his hand. "That's enough out of you..." Nate sighed. "Tell ye're new pal I apologize for threatening to scrap him...its been a hell of a first day."

Nathaniel Alastair Watt & Elspeth Rae Watt

I've been working very hard behind the scenes to really get into Nate's prewar backstory.

A big part of his character is that he strives to provide opportunities for others, and his driving influence is his younger sister Elspeth.

Elspeth met the same fate as the other Vault 111 residents, and her memory is rooted in a lot of the things Nate does.

El wasn't like other girls, in that her goals in life were not what one would consider "ladylike" she was a tomboy nerd, who had a knack for tinkering. Their parents would often tell Nate not to encourage her 'notions'

Nate very much ignored their views and played a very big part in making sure she lived the kind of life she deserved and wanred, not the one that was expected if her. When El was a teenager, he became her sole guardian.

They loved adventuring together, either hiking & camping, but their favorite past time was road trips. El was a big history buff.

One of their adventures led them to Luray Virginia, when El wanted to see Lamplight Caverns (Luray Caverns is what Little Lamplight was loosely based on, and seeing as the Capital Wasteland includes Virgina, I decided to roll with it...making it a 2hr drive from D.C.)

She was never afraid to stand out!

Your post of Neris and the strength made me hungry of Neris fic. Do you have any recommendation on neris?

I can already imagine Eris making fun of Nesta lack of education but is actually impressed with her knowledge, varied from protocol, etiquette,accounting ,math,business and business administration. Will eris ever tell Nesta he is impresed? No. But he just dumped more books on Nesta lap to study.

While at the same time , nesta is planning her strategy to steal all the 12 fat doggo affection away from Eris.

I haven't read a Neris fic since maybe early 2022. It's not my thing anymore. If you dig through my archive on AO3, I did write like...50k words of it? No One Likes A Mad Woman.

Generally, I prefer Nessian to Neris though.
