"c'mere" Felix mutters under his breath as he lifts you up effortlessly, hoisting you to sir on his shoulders. His hands grab around your thighs and he ignores your little squeal at the coldness. The gold glitter from the star you're holding flecks off in little imperceptible pieces, falling into his shaggy hair and probably to stay for a decade at least. "You ready to hang the star? 'most important part"

From your spot above him you can see as he strains his neck up so he can see you, the dopey and charming grin you fell in love wih reflected right back at you. His hair is disheveled and little pine leaf needles are dotted across his clothes - not that you're in any better of a state. A milk moustache hangs above your upper lip from the generous amount of whipped cream in your hot drink, and your hands are coated in a thin layer of cheap red glitter from the baubles you were hanging. The tinsel wrapped around your neck as a scarf is a fashion statement, however, and not just another little mess you had made in the fun.

"Nuh uh" you disagree, straightening your back even on top of his hight to secure the spring at the base of the gold star to the most tip top branch of the tree. "Obviously the most important part of the tree is the baubles we made together last night. You gonna look me in the eye and say that reindeer isn't the best thing you've ever seen?" you speak with such sass he can't help but bellow with laughter.

"My love, that brown blob or felt with some toothpicks glued on hardly counts as a reindeer" He pauses and laughs again as he catches sight of it, "- my snowman, on the other hand, is simply magnificent." the cocky grin returns, not disappearing even with your playful swat at his arm.

Without hesitation you lean down from your perch on his shoulder to give him a spider-man like kiss. Grinning in satisfaction that you plan worked you let out a victorious "knew that would shut you up... can you let me down now please?"

But Felix knows he has the upper hand here.

"Nah, think i'll keep you with me for a while"

moved into the new place, it is predictably grimy but the roommate swears he's going to get everything shipshape this week. the complex seems fine enough considering the neighborhood it's in. you have to use some cell phone app to pay for the laundry machines though, not a fan of that
