⋆·˚ ༘ * 𝑅𝐸𝒬𝒰𝐸𝒮𝒯; annony - hi can i rq fighting with Sasuke in an established relationship. What do you seriously argue about, who pouts longest, who apologizes first, or who offers a nonverbal olive branch, how do you makeup, etc 😇 thank you!
part 1 | part 2 | part 3
m.list | naruto/boruto m.list | uchiha m.list
What would the two of you argue about?
I don't think Sasuke is a man who openly states what is bothering him because he lets the feeling simmer before he tells you. He only tells you if it's serious or if it's been bugging him. Personally, I think Sasuke don't gaf what you do unless you get yourself hurt on a mission, then he starts arguing with you because he's concerned for your safety. What I think you would argue to him about is his annoying little habits he just can't seem to get out of doing. Just the little simple things like leaving things where they are supposed to be, because Sasuke is a really clean person because of how he grew up. So there probably won't be much for you to argue to him about him. If I'm being so serious right now, you would probably argue with him about not giving you any attention-
Who would be 'pouting' the longest?
I'm sure depending on the situation it would vary between the two of you and depending on what Sasuke and you actually argued about would be the determining factor. Although, I don't Sasuke would date anyone like himself, he would go for someone who can balance his stoicism out, it would be his energetic pretty girlfriend who will be pouting the longest because you are dramatic at times.
Who apologises first/ Silent treatment/ Making up
I'm gonna have to say Sasuke on this one. He seriously doesn't want to mess things up with you because your his family and he can't go through the pain of losing you. Butttt, depending on what the two of you had argued about, it could be you apologising, you would usually apologise to him after accidently yelling or arguing about something incontrollable like Sasuke missions. It start off as a competition on who couldn't talk to each other but then Sasuke couldn't hold it for too long, he needed to hear you soft voice speaking to him, Sasuke needed your voice to talk to him because that's what makes him feel just a little bit happier everyday. You would usually want to stop the silent treatment but when Sasuke wasn't talking to you it truly made you nervous because sometimes he could just say the meanest things to you without thinking what he's saying. As for making up? You would be doing some mundane tasks in the bathroom, kitchen, bedroom or anywhere and Sasuke would come up behind you just to wrap his arm around your waist and place his chin on your shoulder and mumble a soft, 'I'm sorry' in your ear even if he was right and you were wrong. As for the other way around, you would walk up behind Sasuke and you would hold the hem of his shirt with your head hung low, waiting for Sasuke to say something, but he doesn't. So then, you would apologise first and he would turn around with a sigh, planting a soft kiss to your forehead while mumbling the same words of, 'I'm sorry' back to you.
Do not copy, steal, modify, etc. Relogs and like are appreciated.
this was rushed, ill make sure to edit this later!!

👀 may the class please see your team 7 au thoughts?
+ @ohai-there + @oh-no-its-bird who all expressed interest in my team seven au, YES OKAY GATHER ROUND-
---
okay so team seven au where the mission to wave runs long. it's not any different in result, it just takes longer to get there. Zabuza and Kakashi stayed in their coma/recovery phases longer, then team seven stayed in wave longer after to let sasuke and kakashi recover from nearly dying, and all this means is that they miss the chuunin exams.
Kakashi thinks it means that they're missing the chuunin exams.
what it actually means is that, on their way back from Wave, they find out that Konoha has been destroyed.
The Suna invasion happened, and there was no Naruto there to talk Gaara out of it. There was no team seven to run interference. The village is gone. It's not just invaded, it's not just been couped, it's rubble. It's dust.
Everyone is dead.
The team is now, by happenstance, missing nin. They have no village to return too, and every member of their team except one is highly desirable with a massive bounty out. (Kakashi the Copy Ninja, Naruto the Jinchuurik, Sasuke the Last Uchiha... and then sakura.)
Naruto wants to go to the village anyways. he feels like he can save someone, they have to at least try, they have to do something. The idea it's too late, there's nothing to be done, is completely impossible for him to understand. he lost his family so young that this is the first time he's lost something he actually remembers having. He's struggling to process the grief, especially without physically seeing the proof of it.
Sasuke gets intensely protective and possessive. Yes, the village is gone- but all of his close bonds are with him and alive. This is a tragedy but it's one he's not directly experiencing for once, and it just reaffirms his fears about how easy it is for people to die. He feels responsible for keeping his teammates alive to an extent that is deeply unhealthy. Especially with how poorly his teammates are handling their grief- he feels like he's the only one prepared for it, the only one approaching the world with realism, the only one capable.
Sakura is experiencing loss for the first time, and nobody is giving her the time or space for it. There's no nice way for her to say "none of you have families, but i did and now i don't", but she's losing her mind about it and
Kakashi was struggling to be a sensei when he had a military state backing him up, and now he's essentially their dad and also they're on the fucking run with nowhere to go. He's responsible for them, for all of them, all of the time, and because they're getting hunted down so he can't just find a nice civilian to hand the kids over to (as if they'd let him, they're all attached like barnacles at this point). That's not even getting into how absolutely impossible it is for him to handle the massive loss they're trying to process, especially since he's really limited in how he can let them deal with it. No Naruto cannot see the bodies to internalize they're dead, no Sakura cannot try to find anything to remember her parents, and no they're not in a position where he can do anything about Sasuke's paranoia except encourage it.
Sakura is dealing with a grief she's never experienced before. She's not getting a lot of leeway, and she's also the one who keeps getting sent out to get them food or supplies from villages because everyone else on her team is wanted. sometimes she thinks about just staying in the little towns they pass through. Her team needs her, but she doesn't feel like she's really part of the team. Certainly doesn't feel like they're supporting her. And every time she goes back to them, things are worse. Maybe she was never meant to be a ninja at all. Maybe she should've been at home with her parents when the invasion happened.
#this is rlly just the set up#and i have a lot of thoughts abvout where it goes from there.#but im pausing here for now bc its already So Much.#please enjoy

I've just thought of something about Itachi and Sasuke that makes me wanna cry.
Tobirama, the OG Uchiha hater himself, states that the Uchiha have the ability to love deeper than anyone else. He incorrectly makes the conclusion that if an Uchiha loses someone to death then that love is replaced by hatred.
The thing is: it was never hatred. It was always grief. A hollow, destructive grief that tore them from the inside out and made them act out in ways that were detrimental to their being because they had nowhere else to put it. That misinterpretation stayed with the Uchihas throughout their entire time in the Hidden Leaf village and became their legacy.
Which brings us to Itachi and why what he did to Sasuke went against everything that made them who they are.
We know that Uchihas love deeply and create deeper bonds than any other person. We know Itachi was growing to hate the clan and everything they were. We know that even though he hated his clan, he still carried that deep love and grief inside of him that was passed onto him hereditarily.
Sasuke also has these traits, too, though. In fact, he was never shy about expressing how much love he had for his family and what they meant to them, specifically Itachi. He was filled to the brim with deep love and affection because it's inherent to him to feel so.
Itachi was filled to the brim with love, and then Shisui died in a horrific way right in front of him. That love was replaced with grief disguised as hatred.
So when Itachi tells Sasuke that love and bonds are weak after slaughtering his entire family and tells him that the only way to get revenge is by filling his heart with hate, it creates a permanent mark on Sasuke that activates that grief.
Let me rephrase this: Sasuke is subconsciously being told that inherent ability to feel deep love and affection is what makes him weak, therefore in order to be strong enough to exact his revenge he needs to become the total opposite of who he is at his core.
Why do you think he became such a cold person? Why do you think the only way he can feel closer to Naruto (who is a walking example of everything his brother told him not to become) is through aggression and fighting and arguing? Why did he become quiet and silently affectionate instead of loud and verbose like he used to? Why does he have a difficult time expressing himself unless he's angry? Why do you think his jealousy towards Naruto festered the way it did? Why do you think it took so long for him to even acknowledge that he loved Sakura, or why he actively ran away from romance in the first place? Why do you think he literally lost his mind when the truth about Itachi was revealed and he discovered all of what he knew was a lie?
If he gave into any part of him that felt the love that he knows he's capable of, he'd be showing weakness.
Sasuke having a single child that was a little girl is so narratively smart because it shows that Sasuke is the person that changed the trajectory of the Uchiha by embracing the deep love and affection he was taught to repress. Sarada is the first person in the entire history of the clan that awakened her Sharingan through pure love and passion for her loved ones.
Which exposes something that has always been in hidden plain sight: hatred and death doesn't make the clan powerful; love does, and it always did. It was the self-fulfilling prejudice against them that turned them into what they ended up being.

Team 7 introductions are like:
Naruto: I want to obtain POWER so I can force people to look at me like an actual human being and not a monster, haha! They won't ignore me or isolate me anymore! They're gonna BEG ME and put their lives on my hands and— Oh and ramen. All the ramen. And maybe prove to everyone that they are dumb ass fuck for not believing in me? Yeah, prove them wrong, that's cool! And and and Iruka-sensei is cool! I'm so happy when someone does the bare minimum and respects my life and acknowledges the fact that I'm just a kid and that I'm suffering (one of) the craziest discrimination acts applied by our government Hokage...
Sakura: you know how the first real goal I got like the first thing I wanted for myself after years of being bullied and being nobody and wanting to disappear was the affection of this boy? Well, all these other girls think I don't stand a chance and that they'll get the boy, so I'm gonna win the boy and laugh at their faces. Does it mean that I need validation and affection and attention and love? Not, what are you saying, I have a perfect normal life and parents that are totally involved in my life and I am happy! So happy! I wouldn't know what sadness or loneliness is like! Never! I'm normal and totally nothing to worry about!
Sasuke: you'll find that the things you like in life are meaningless when you carry the trauma of being the sole survivor of a genocide committed by the brother you loved and adored. I want him dead which shouldn't be surprising given that we live in a society ruled by violence, right? I hate a lot of things because I'm painfully aware of how miserable our reality is. Since this is my trauma, no one else has the right to do something about it. They certainly didn't seemto have the balls to go after him, even when they call him criminal, so I'm gonna kill Itachi myself. Obsessed you said? Try enjoying life when you know someone can commit genocide and no one would give a fuck and the government won't do a thing. Try caring for others knowing they can get kill any day and you'll have to look the other way. I dare you to.
Kakashi: *most emotionally neglected adult in the village, abandoned as a kid, saw his father do the right thing and get so socially pressured he ended up commiting suicide and the government didn't give a shit, forced to become a perfect weapon at young age to show off the village strength, forced to become an elite assassin as a kid, people in the village widely making fun of his trauma and acting like he's just weird / peculiar and not on the verge of losing his mind for real, a champ at dissociation and a minute more away taking roots in front of the graves of his mistakes because he spent way too much time there in self-punishment, basically the most miserable jounin in the whole village*
Kakashi: hm, I won't let you get to know me or get close to me because everything I touch dies and I don't want to get attachments because you're soldiers and you might die and it doesn't matter that I have history with two of your families and that you all remind every single minute of the boy I watched die and the girl that I killed and the boy used to be. You will never know any of that. I am a whole man with a whole life that you'll never know because I am just your superior here and you must obey me in our missions. I'm definitely not hiding the fact that the village just failed me and set me up to be the one who failed you all in case you get killed or lose your shit once and for all.

Why are the Uchiha considered a non-oppressed group? Naruto's fandom, specifically pro-Konoha readers, tend to claim that neither Sasuke nor his family was actually oppressed nor discriminated against prior to their killing; furthermore, some tend to state that it's for this supposed reason that the massacre was justified, as not only they perceived no injustice when presented with evidence of their treatment at the hands of those in positions of power (who should've had guaranteed their survival at the very minimum, as that was the reason for the village's creation), but also consider their plan to coup a consequence of their "traitorous" nature; a disservice after everything "Konoha did for them".
Some other fans, not much smarter than the first group, are willing to admit some of the discrimination they suffered; but they are reluctant to see such conduct as a learned animosity, labeling it as a "modern occurrence" (when speaking of Hiruzen's timeframe). According to them, the Uchiha had just begun to be discriminated against, so their reaction was disproportionate; apparently, it's mandatory to wait for such bigotry to be repeated for a few generations before considering it a systematic occurrence rather than an isolated event.
Genocide doesn't happen in a vacuum, it's not an option that is plausibly considered if not after years or decades of cultural and political repression and degradation. It's the growth of a slow but consistent process of dehumanization, to the point where those taught under such a regime of thought truly consider their life, rights, and opinions far more valuable and important than those they degrade.
Arresting or even killing the clan members that actually wanted to coup would've been far more understandable had those in power seen Uchiha humane enough for their lives to be considered, to matter; yet the elders quickly saw mass murder as an enticing option, sending one of the kin they wanted to exterminate to do their dirty job so they wouldn't lose "one of their own" and still look pristine.
They were able to do so and still see themselves as agents of peace because they were taught that they were on the right side of history, as the story was told from their perspective; the handwriting of their mentor shines dark and spotless on the parchments of their national library.
And, as for them, there were no real losses that day, their life continued. And those responsible for the death of dozens kept smiling, kept walking amongst the classmates of the children they sent to murder, telling them to fight for their memory, to give meaning to the pain by growing.
The fandom still believes that their death was requited, necessary, and fair; putting the blame of the genocide at most upon two sets of shoulders (Danzo, Hiruzen) instead of (at least) six (Tobirama, Danzo, Hiruzen, Koharu, Homura and Itachi), because they truly think that such an idea can be created out of thin air and it's not the consequence of an oppressive system that it's constantly demoting a specific group's value; because they truly think that the Council is acting on their own volition and isn't abiding the structure set by those before them. To them, four men and a woman created and taught themselves their own moral, social, and cultural parameters for this specific portion of the story before renouncing them and subscribing once again to their teachers (who somehow are painted as ~agents of peace~).
But alas, let's dissect some of their arguments, perhaps like this some of their brilliance shall illuminate us:
Their doujutsu and overall pride as a clan. The Sharingan is probably the most powerful doujutsu inside the Narutoverse (slightly less so than the Rinnegan but that needs the Sharingan as a base to develop), which for them translates into their clan having a “natural advantage” over others during a battle; thus, if they are so strong, how come they are oppressed? For them, that’s a contradiction because they can only phantom oppression if it’s visible, as in physical: literal submission through physical strength. Yet the Sharingan is canonically expressed to be a rare outcome inside the family, a rarity that just a few members of the clan possessed, so it’s a “natural advantage” that not many Uchiha have nor had at the time of their murder. But the tale hasn't finished, because there's a recurrent joke amongst these antis, for "how come the Sharingan is so powerful yet they were whipped by Itachi in just one night!", they shout, hyena laughter amidst their group; yet they don't talk further as not to attract detractors with quick wit, as they don't take into account (can't take into account) not only the prior point but also Obito’s participation -who was in charge of killing the strongest members of the clan but Fugaku (the later who decided not to fight), and without minding the context in itself as Itachi sneaked into clan members' homes and killed them when their back was turned, as he took advantage of the trust they bestowed upon him.
They were the ones who were “entrusted” by Tobirama to make Konoha’s citizens respect the law -summarizing, they were “given” the Police Force. In this specific regard, the police force inside the Narutoverse is directly compared (and therefore, read) to its real-life counterpart, yet: a- The Uchiha’s job was to be carried inside a military state, most of the citizens inside Konoha have tools at their disposal to either evade or fight back the Uchiha's "authority". It's difficult for them to read such phrases for it shatters their self-insertion; how come Naruto isn't about my self-perceived value inside the country I inhabit? b- The Police Force’s power, influence, and control were directly limited by the Hokage, they couldn’t arrest ANBU members (meaning those who were, one in charge of spying on them, and two a big portion of Konoha’s forces). c- Uchiha couldn’t aspire to be something else but members of the police. The only ones who could work outside that specific force were those individuals that abandoned their identities as clan members and swore allegiance to Konoha. Only Itachi (the perpetrator), Shisui, and Kagami (who were luckily dead before the events of the UCM transpired) were shown outside such a limited sphere. No other clan was shown to need such extreme measures to work in their chosen field. The fact that the prison was constructed to be inside their compound prior to them being moved to the outskirts of the city isn’t enough for them to understand that this specific job was forced upon Uchiha. "It's easier for them to keep an eye on the prisoners," they claim, clicking their tongues, yet won't see what it politically entails, for Uchiha members can never detach themselves from their duty, as it was physically adhered to their lands. "It's a duty they could thrive on," they vomit, and they did, yet no one sees -because it all happens inside their own compound. Not a single clan is shown to “have one specific job” inside Konoha but the Uchiha. d- Nevermind the very real and canonic impact that such work has amongst Konoha citizens, as the lesser members of Konoha's militia grow resentful of those that "control" them; in addition, such position also prevents the Uchiha from properly integrating amongst the general population, as they can't commune completely with those they need to keep tabs on. Was the Police Force ever rebuilt after the UCM? ANBU forces were quick to absorb their duties after the Kyuubi attack, decreasing at a much faster speed their position inside the place they built. The Police Force was dismantled and forgotten after the massacre, further proving the real irrelevance of such duty and the actual hidden purpose in its creation. e- How come the Uchiha "monopolized" a force that was literally and canonically given to them? How did they take over and denied anyone else's presence inside that structure when not only did they not create it but the prison was built by the government itself inside their compound? Someone with fewer brain cells than them will think that it's Konoha's government the one limiting the nature of the members that had to forcefully take care of that task, as clan compounds have restrictions on who can enter; but not them -oh no, ah, the wisdom of these people amazes me...
Their members’ popularity. Specifically, Sasuke and Itachi. What they say while fidgeting in their seats is simple: "how come Itachi (prior to the massacre) and Sasuke (after) were so praised by non-Uchiha if they were discriminated against"? And, ah, we could've finally reached enlightenment; yet their worldview is irrevocably simplistic, as systematic oppression doesn’t always translate into direct discrimination at the hands of other citizens. The Uchiha clan was moved to the outskirts of the city without any other family raising any eyebrows, they don’t have to be spitted on by other shinobi for them to be oppressed, that’s limiting the notion of discrimination/oppression to a single factor -the physical one, without minding the others. To explain it in lesser terms, as we must crouch down to speak to them to be on their level, saying that the Uchiha weren’t discriminated against due to lack of physical aggression, and I guess a genocide isn’t enough aggression for some, it’s like saying a man is a misogynist only if he slaps a woman. That way, monetary, social, cultural, and political domination are left out of the discussion, therefore, it’s limiting sexism to individuals’ actions rather than seeing the system these men were raised on and that it built their resolve to, finally, physically attack a woman. Uchiha were the only ones whose value was tied to their biological nature -no other families inside Konoha found as many restrictions as they did (might I remind you that there was a clan that happily enslaved their members and no one seemed to care?), their biology was enough reason to keep them both away of positions of power (meaning that the laws/decisions that influenced their lifestyle were made for them without a single Uchiha consultant), and restricting their movements inside their village. And I know many of these antis will claim “oh, but name one of the other noble clans (but the Nara’s, of course) that are actually in a place inside the Council, none of them were!” And you see, they miss the point by a mile, because the issue isn’t only the Uchiha not having incidence nor right to (at least) vote inside a village they founded, but specifically them being denied such presence under the premise of a biological predisposition that they have no control of. No other clan, whether they are or not at this point in time inside the Council, is denied a future position under those premises, they either can’t achieve it due to their lack of connections (Minato Namikaze, member of a non-noble clan was made Hokage due to his relationship with Jiraiya) or having not enough rank to participate (Morino Ibiki, also from a clan not specifically important, is the Head of the T&I Department).

The whole discourse of how sasuke and Sakura be after their spouses die is very simple. These people are married and all but you can't really expect a total erratic change in behavior after the death of their spouse. These people have spent maybe 4-5 years together in their entire existence, they've spent more time being away from each than together.
Sakura would be sad and all (sasuke was the love of her life), however, her life would go on, she's supposed to model a real life girl, she has parents, probably has cousins, uncles, aunts etc. Her best friend and her two sensei's are still very much alive and accessible. Her daughter is still alive, and she took care of her without sasuke, so she'll be fine doing so again. Her life would go on, she'll probably not get remarried but still.
For sasuke, his would very much go on too, he's lost his family before and he's still a well functioning human being, he's not going lose himself over Sakura dying let's be real. He'll be sad, but he'll go on. Maybe sarada is a problem he'll have to deal with, but sasuke would still go on his missions. He's a missions first kind of guy, ig.
I think sasuke might only lose himself a bit if Naruto died. Best friend or not, Sasuke understands what Naruto is to the world and what he represents. To sasuke, Naruto is the light that unifies the world, similar but not really to the darkness and hatred sasuke wanted to be. Sasuke knows that his loved ones are safe and secure as long as Naruto lives.
Long story short, they'll be fine. Little rant, my bad.
So you think that Sasuke would be more distraught if Naruto were to die, rather than his own wife and the mother of his child? And your reasoning is that Sasuke apparently views Naruto as the light which unifies the world, and that as long as he's alive, Sasuke's loved once are safe? Yeah I think several things during the new generation have proven that statement to be wrong. Naruto being alive, clearly hasn't meant that Sasuke's loved ones were safe and secure, and Sasuke knows this. Not to mention that Sasuke has also described Sakura as the light in his world, which is a lot more personal.
All I'll say is this - It doesn't need to be a competition, but some people really need to acknowledge the fact that just because Naruto and Sasuke were each other's closest bond during the main story, that doesn't mean that this must still be the case now over 15 years later, especially when they have families and children of their own. These things come with different priorities and responsibilities.

Hello😄Could I request Hashirama,Tobirama,Madara,Itachi,Tsunade,Sasuke,Obito,and shisui with a darling that is a ghoul?
Holidays start in about a month for me so I'll try to schedule a day where I open my inbox again.
Tw: Yandere themes, unhealthy mindset, unhealthy relationship, possessive behavior, obsession, restriction, isolation, abduction, violence
Darling is a ghoul
Madara Uchiha
🌑You've been using the corpses that the war produces as your source of food, always steal the bodies of the dead to stock somewhere. One day to your great misfortune, you get caught by the Uchiha attempting to steal one of their dead comrades and they instantly attack you as they see that you don't belong to their clan. They're merciless so you're left with little to no choice but to fight back and for a short few seconds, you manage to catch them by surprise. Your own red orbs mirroring their own eerily much and you use that distraction to try to escape. One glance into their Sharingan as they chase after you traps you into their Genjutsu though and when you regain your consciousness, you're heavily chained and kneeling on the ground. In front of you is no one else besides Madara himself who has been informed about you and your strange abilities as one of the first. Judging from his cold tone, you know that fooling around might get you executed or tortured so you don't see any other option besides revealing what you are.
🌑 Your revelation is a sensation and you're kept imprisoned inside their campus as the eldest and Madara discuss what to do with you. Some are a bit wary as you feed from humans, others see in you a great new weapon. Madara decides to see for himself what you're capable of so you're forced very soon into a fight with him where he attacks you relentlessly. You don't know any jutsu yet somehow manage to keep somewhat up as your regenerative abilities, heightened senses, faster reflexes and your kakuja aren't something he can copy. You're ultimately losing to him as your techniques are sloppy but Madara recognizes the raw potential you have. All he has to do is polish your skills and train you. So he votes to keep you and teach you and the eldest agree, the majority delighted with the thought of having someone like you as their own. The clan guarantees to feed you with the corpses of their opponents. Training with Madara is harsh as he is even more ruthless since you heal so fast.
🌑 Madara is at one point the person you spend the most time with as he teaches you ninjutsu, taijutsu, even some genjutsu and weaponry. His training is brutal but it shows major improvement with time as you're able to fight him on almost equal footing at one point. It gains you some rare compliments from him but that is how you know that he's genuine. Fighting you is a genuine joy because only few people can give him a good fight and he's proud that his training has brought you that far. However, Madara ensures that you never grow stronger than him as he needs to establish his dominance between you two. He won't let you be above him. Initially he assumes it's because he just hates to lose but as time passes on, he realizes why. He's gained feelings from you. It's that knowledge that spikes his possessive obsession up as he suddenly forbids you to interact greatly with others and you notice the heavy weight of his glare even before you see him if he catches you still being nice to someone else.
🌑The death of Izuna awakens a feeling of urgency inside of him as the loss of his last family member shatters him. His declaration to the eldest of the clan that he chooses you as his spouse is so sudden that it flabbergasts all of them equally and their opinions are mixed. Some disagree with him as they want him to marry someone from their clan yet others don't think it's that bad after thinking about it. You're certainly strong with your unique abilities and if you can conceive children, they'd be very curious to see what abilities your and Madara's children would have. If Madara wants something, he makes sure to get it so he forces the council to accept his opinion and you find out within the next day from him what has happened. You're even more astonished by his boldness to make such a decision without your consent. Yet your protest dies down on your tongue as he grabs your chin harshly and looks at you, muttering under his breath that he won't lose anyone else. If Hashirama wants to make peace with his clan, then only if he can keep you.
Hashirama Senju
🌳 He most likely sees you two as secret childhood sweethearts but unfortunately he just glorifies your memories in his mind into something much more innocent. The meeting of you two is one of pure accident as you essentially save his life, at a time before he even knows Madara. Mourning over the loss of one of his younger brothers and taking a stroll during a ferocious storm, numb to the warning words of Tobirama. He takes notice of the roaring river and the slippery and muddy shore too late as he slides into the clashing waves, loses his sense of up and down and swallows a gallon of the cold water. He's panicking as he desperately tries to puddle to the shore but fails to do so, his short life flashing in front of his eyes. Until someone suddenly grabs him and pulls him back on solid ground. Hashirama feels dizzy, coughs up water yet doesn't forget his manners as he wants to sincerely thank his savior. Yet they disappear as fast as they appeared, a blurry face and striking eyes the only memory he has of them.
🌳 It could be an Uchiha that saved him and he assumes so at first too and it isn't until he catches sight of you again that he's informed. You were apparently silently following him before he sees you, although initially he is unsure if you're the one that saved him. He has caused a lot of troubles because he kept confusing others with the person who saved him. You're honest though and tell him that you are the one who rescued him and are very flustered when he kneels down in front of you, forehead smushed against the dirt and thanking you for saving him. When he asks you if you're an Uchiha, you shake your head with a half-amused smile, stating that you don't belong to any special clan. He keeps on asking you questions but you keep dodging them, unwilling to answer. Eventually you tell him that you have to leave even if he begs you not to. The last thing you hear from him is him shouting after you and asking you to meet him here again. He wants to be friends with you.
🌳 You decide to take his offer, even though you know you shouldn't but you can't help yourself. Hashirama is infectious with his energy and cures your loneliness. He's bubbly and optimistic, something you need in your life. You never tell him about your true origins and never answer his questions about what he saw on the day you met him. You do tell him at one point that you're an orphan though and lost your parents to the war to which he offers you to take you to his clan. You decline obviously. The telltale signs of his major crush on you are what ultimately drive you away from him as you know that you could never be together with someone like him. So you never return again, breaking his heart as you need to separate yourself from him. It's alright. You've heard that he has found a new friend. You shatter Hashi's heart beyond belief as you've become his one big love and he's never able to comprehend throughout all the following years why you would just abandon him.
🌳 It's only so many years later in his adulthood that he gets all the answers to his questions when fellow men of his clan present him with the man-eating monster. A rumor that has been circulating around for a long time but now they've finally caught and imprisoned the person that stole and dishonored their fallen warriors. He doesn't know what to feel but his whole world stops and his heart drops when he sees the same eyes that saved him all those years ago. Your previously growling and sneering expression drops as you stare at him in shock before you avert your gaze, tears of shame building up behind your eyelashes. You never wanted him to know. You're used to being hated and feared so his shouts to free you from your chains as he storms over to you confuse not only you. Tears are in his own eyes, ones of happiness, as he embraces you in a tight hug. Finally he can make sense of everything. You were ashamed of yourself, weren't you? He knows that you'd never hurt someone purposely after all! Don't worry, he'll sort everything out for you!
Tobirama Senju
🌊 With Konoha finally being established, the many years of waging war against the Uchiha has finally ceased. Tobirama isn't too fond of the idea of living together in peace with the Uchiha, he doesn't trust them but he has no choice but to have faith in his brother. Konohagakure earns money from the missions that the people send to the village. Tobirama oversees all of that together with his brother and takes on the more dangerous jobs together with a team he hand-picked himself, all people he trusts and knows are skilled enough. It's this one mission that manages to spike his interest as he receives a request from a smaller village in the Land of Fire. A lot of thieves and criminals reside in the village yet that isn't the reason why they request his help. It's because people have started disappearing in the village and a few witnesses are only able to tell about a human-like monster with red and black orbs, mouth covered in blood as it's strongly assumed that this thing eats humans.
🌊 The legend of the man-eating ghoul is one that he has heard only in legends as some of his own clan members insist that they've spotted the thing during times of war, dragging away corpses to feast on them. At that time he only assmued it to be a silly rumor yet as the story pops up again and the legend starts surging up again as fellow Senju members hear about it, he decides to investigate. He travels to the village, takes one Senju with him who claims to have seen the ghoul before and waits. To your misfortune Tobirama is a legendary sensory type and even if you try to be careful, you're helpless as the man approaches you and you quickly stop fighting, realizing that you wouldn't stand a chance against Tobirama, his chakra too powerful. His own red orbs meet your own black and red ones, his eyebrows furrowing as he senses the unique energy radiating off of you. You may look like a human but you aren't fooling his sensory skills. Ultimately he decides to imprison you for the time being.
🌊 You're surprisingly well behaved, he somehow expected more troubles from the rumored ghoul yet you seem to choose the wisest option of giving up for now. You won't pick a fight where even you might get into troubles. Tobirama ensures that the citizens are left in the dark, only a selected few Senju and Uchiha know about you. It's better to keep your presence hidden for now from the public. Hashirama approaches you with a mix of curiosity, fascination yet also slight caution whilst Tobirama is prepared to attack you any moment, far more stiff than his brother. You're interrogated by Tobirama and answer all of his questions with honesty that baffles him. You need to consume human flesh just like humans need to eat too or otherwise you'll starve to death. When he tries to frame you for murder, you instantly fire back that you've only eaten already dead or evil people and that he shouldn't throw such crimes at you as his entire clan has committed murder too, far more than you have.
🌊 Somehow they have to feed you as Senju and Uchiha murmur that you might be very useful to the village so they start searching for ways to feed you without having to sacrifice humans, except the criminals that is. Tobirama remains the most cautious although your physical abilities fascinate him and he volunteers to teach you when he hears that his clan wants you to learn ninjutsu. He's low-key impressed by you but rarely admits that. You're snarky yet also very quick to adapt to situations and more civilized than some people he knows. The fact that you eat people is the only thing that keeps him from being more welcoming and is the main reason why he bristles up against his growing feelings. It's petty, he's murdered too but he would never allow himself to feel that way. Hours of research are put into creating artificial food for you whilst he increases the supervision around you. He absolutely can't have you lose control and attack someone. not if it means that you might be killed or ripped away from him. He won't admit his feelings for now but he won't let you get away from him either.
Tsunade Senju
🐌 Tsunade first stumbles upon you during her travels with Shizune, before she becomes the Fifth Hokage. She finds you heavily wounded and severely starved. She takes you in to care for you although her fear of blood paralyzes her so Shizune has to take care of you. You seem terrified when the two approach you, yell at them to stay away from you but it's already too late. You smell human flesh and lose control, attack both of them as your eyes turn black and red and salvia starts dripping down your chin. You're luckily overpowered as the hunger has weakened you and restricted your clear thinking, Shizune's poison numbs you and Tsunade's strength makes you lose your consciousness and you feel the relief flodding your veins that they stopped you from killing another person. What surprises you is when you regain your consciousness and find out that both of them have still taken you in and helped you with your injuries. Tsunade isn't all soft-hearted though, asking you with a hardened gaze what you are.
🐌 They're medics, they save lives so both are shaken when you confess that you're a ghoul and have to feed from humans to survive. You're too ashamed to do so, unable to kill someone so you always end up starving yourself to insanity until you can't take it anymore. You've killed too much people, nearly killed the two women too yet they still took you in and took care of you. It's all too shameful as disgust fills you and tears start shimmering in your eyes. You remind both of them that you have to leave as soon as possible or else you might hurt them again. Behind closed doors Tsunade and Shizune both have a discussion later on as both are unsure what to do. Tsunade seems a bit more merciless at first but Shizune quickly persuades her that they should help you. You can't do anything since you were born that way and helping you would also mean saving other people's lives and also your own. When both of them offer to help you, you have limited hopes.
🐌 They start working on supplying you with artificial food or at least have you survive on only little blood which both could supply to you with ease. You avoid both as good as you can to not fall into temptation and attack both of them again although you have no doubt that in your current condition, both could overpower you easily. When both of them still succeed and provide you with artificially changed blood that makes you feel full with only little amount, you feel truly happy for the first time in a long while. Just like that you become the third party to tag along, forever grateful to Lady Tsunade and Shizune as you swear to protect both of them. As you travel with both of them around the country, you start getting especially close to Tsunade. You know that under that tough shell is a hurt yet also kind woman as you soon find out about her past and in return share your own painful memories with her. Both of you bond over the past that wasn't kind to both of you.
🐌 Her feelings startle Tsunade initially when she first realizes that you've become more than a close friend to her. Not because of what you are, she'll defend you against anyone who dares to call you a monster. She's mainly scared because she's still suffering from the death of her brother and previous lover, doesn't want to lose anyone again. So the lady finds herself growing very overbearing, paranoid and worried about you excessively all of a sudden. What if people want to kill you for being a ghoul despite there being humans who are far more of a monster than you are? One of the main reasons why she rejects Jiraiya's offer at first is because she doesn't want to trust Konohagakure with you. She has heard stories about how Naruto was treated, she won't let you suffer from such hatred ever again. Ultimately it's only because of Naruto's promise to ensure your safety and your own encouragement to become the next Hokage that she agrees. If anyone even thinks about imprisoning you or performing a surgery on you to find out more about your body, she won't hesitate to seriously hurt them though.
Obito Uchiha
🔥 Rumors about man-eating monsters such as ghouls have always circled around the country, even during his childhood. In the past he had an odd fascination with such stories, as a traumatized adult Obito has other things to consider than some silly bedstories to warn children to not go alone outside at night. Or are those just some ghost stories? Perhaps he has to rethink his take on ghouls when he's faced with one of them in person. One of the spies working for the Akatsuki has been suspected to betray them so he was planning to kill them. Only to see them already being dead with you devouring their flesh. When you notice him, both of you just stare at each other for a while. You quickly clean your face painted in blood and give him an eerie smile, asking him what he plans to do now as you activate your kagune, ready to attack if he tries anything. Instead Obito is very calm as he has seen worse people than a ghoul. That being said, having one under him might be very useful later on.
🔥 You don't seem to be against the idea when he proposes it to you, merely ask what you would get by joining his organization, besides free food that is as he fully allows you to devour anyone who would be on their target list. Ultimately you ask him for time to consider his offer as your current life style is very satisfying already. He reluctantly allows you to consider his offer when you volunteer to stick around the region to reassure him that you won't try to escape. Honestly speaking, you enjoy spending time around people since it's rare to meet one who isn't scared if you. To top it, you appreciate beauty when you see it and Obito's scars give him a unique and rough beauty so you often just stare at him when he tries to convince you to join his crew. You try to tease him and have him breaking out of his serious and pessimistic character and when you do manage to fluster him, you break out in an amused grin, one that makes Obito's heart somehow flutter inside his chest.
🔥 You're very unique but also very different than he first thought you to be. Sure, you're a tad bit cocky about your abilities but also very chipper, witty and teasing around him as both of you warm up around each other more and more. When he tells you one time that you are very different from your first encounter with him, you reply with a bitter-sweet smile on your face that it isn't often that you meet a human who doesn't want to chase you out or scream in terror when seeing your true self and that you want to enjoy this as much as possible. You just do what you have to do to survive after all. Those words stick with him, haunt him as he starts worrying what has happened in your past and he attempts soon to question you persistently about it and whenever you refuse, his anxiety triples. What has happened to you? As his feelings start to grow, you soon realize that you might have made a mistake by hanging around him as he grows co-dependent.
🔥 So when you try to escape him, you make the biggest mistake of your life as he uses his Sharingan to trap you inside a genjutsu and abducts you. When you come back to your senses, he's already hovering over you, the proximity between you two frightening you a bit. His emotions are spilling over as he asks you in a raised yet shaky voice why you tried to leave him and betray his trust. You can't give him an answer, his outburst of anger, sadness and confusion overwhelming you. You don't need to answer though as your silence is enough for Obito to come up with his own answer to his own question. You're just worried about his safety, worried because you never received love from another human. He's right, isn't he? Darling, you don't have to be afraid or worried. He'll provide you with as many bodies as you need so you never have to starve and he will provide you with his love. Both of you were lonely throughout your life but now you have each other. You don't need anyone besides him anymore.
Shisui Uchiha
🍂 You despise humans. You've always despised humans for they killed your parents brutally and had no qualms to even harm you who was just a little child back then. You hate how pretentious they are, framing you as a cruel monster and a menace to their safety whilst they are the ones committing genocides, starting useless wars and murder more people than your entire family has ever done. They're the true monsters but of course they would never see it that way, instead thinking they are the only ones deciding the truth. You've spent years living alone, traveling from one place to another whilst hunting down people for food. A grim determination to survive for your parents the fire that fuels you til this day, even when a few Anbu are searching for you to hunt you down and possibly even kill you. You don't expect anything from their kind anymore, they're all just cowards hiding behind their excuse called justice and righteousness. Days of playing a nerve-wracking cat and mouse game finally ends when one particular member of the team catches you.
🍂 Any potential mask is hidden behind a mask of hatred and aggression as you stare at the man, his own face hidden behind a mask. You expect him to draw his katana, to use another katon on you to get rid of you yet he just observes you carefully. Another member of the Anbu eventually breaks the heavy silence, asks him why he isn't going for the kill. You aren't the only one shocked when the man, most likely the leader of the group, turns around and announces that he'll take you with him to the village. You're about to hiss at him that you won't let yourself get imprisoned when he reveals his face to you, young and handsome with red eyes staring straight into your own. Your brain turns foggy and you don't remember much after that. You only know that when you open your eyes the next time, you're in a cell with heavy chains restricting your movement. On the other side of the cell you recognize the same guy that knocked you somehow out together with an older man, his hat giving him away as the Hokage.
🍂 You refuse to be grateful to the man named Shisui for deciding to not kill you as you didn't strike him as an open threat. The clients were exaggerating things, he knew they were just terrified of the rumors that had clearly gone out of hand. He doesn't hold your angry behavior against you though as he knows already about the death of your parents, he can't blame you for having zero trust in anyone as you had to learn everything the hard way. Luckily Hiruzen thinks the same way as him and has decided to not kill you, against the will of some eldest of the council. Instead Shisui is in charge of keeping an eye on you and if you should harm anyone, he has orders to kill you. He doesn't want that so he always warns you, admits that he doesn't want to kill you since you aren't a bad person. You can only scoff, not believing a single word he says. He's just a human, you know how they are. He just wants to deceive you. You're bitter and negative, above all deeply hurt though and Shisui sees all of that. It somehow makes him want to prove to you that not all people are bad.
🍂 A small promise to himself to make you believe in some humans again. Shisui starts carefully and slowly to win your trust, being a pushover would be the worst thing he could be right now. A small quip here and there, convincing the council to give you some books or anything to not die of boredom inside your cell and slowly granting you with his help a little bit of restricted freedom. All those small seeds stretched over a couple of months slowly wear your guard down as you start listening to what he tells you and seem to look forward to his visits. You even join him in his jokes although you have a very dark and dry humor. Shisui's own feelings start changing slowly yet he hides it as he knows that he could be replaced as he might act on his emotions. The dark glare he gives someone if they suggest murdering you are instances where his true feelings reveal themselves though. A small part of him foolishly believes that he can somehow get this under control again. But the moment he actually manages to make you smile, a smile that lights up even the darkest corner of his heart, Shisui knows that he is utterly fucked.
Itachi Uchiha
🍡 You've always known that you might get killed for having to feed from humans in order to live. A thought that terrified you in your childhood has now become a calm acception with which you live everyday. You think there are worse people to get killed by when you see him for the first time. Calmly standing there and observing you from a distance where you were eating moments ago from the human. There's a silence lingering over the two of you as you just observe each other yet it's weirdly peaceful. When he turnd around though, no hint given about wanting to kill you, you call after him and ask him why he hasn't killed you. He pauses, head turning slightly back as he replies that you just do what you have to do to survive. He's heard about the stories of a ghoul residing in this area but he also knows about the fact that a lot of criminals have recently been disappearing from around here, people who have murdered people. The one you're feasting on right now is one of them.
🍡 The one you later on find out is named Itachi fascinates you. You've rarely met someone so serene and calm, he didn't freak out when seeing you nor looked at you with any hatred. Deep down you wonder if you'll ever see him again and fate seems to plan exactly that as you see him often around the forest where he seems to stay for a while. He doesn't mind your business and out of respect you don't mind his either although you long to talk to him once more. Strangely enough one day where rain falls down in heavy drops from the sky, your wish gets granted when you see him just standing outside, thoughtful eyes staring into the grey sky. You're captivated by the scene in front of you for a while only to come back to your senses when black eyes meet yours and he asks you politely if you'd like to join him instead of just standing there. Slight embarrassment to get caught staring is quickly replaced with slight giddiness when you two start taking a walk through the forest together, conversing here and there about things that come to mind.
🍡 From that day on, both of you start growing very close to each other. Neither of you two is very pushy and sometimes both of you just spend your time together in silence but it seems to be something both of you don't mind. In fact there's a weird comfort in the tranquil silence surrounding you two. Slowly both of you share stories about yourselves to the other one and neither you nor Itachi judge each other for their past. You tell him how you were orphaned at a very young age and had to kill people yourself and Itachi reveals his position in the Akatsuki and after a longer time of knowing each other, even the truth about his family and how he killed all of them except his brother. It's then that you understand why he didn't kill you the first time you two met. He deemed himself not worthy to judge you for your actions when he committed something much more hideous and worse. He becomes an emotional pillar for you just as much as you become one for him. You rely on each other.
🍡 Feelings start to blossom between you two, you just know that Itachi feels the same as you. You're hesitating though, unsure if a human and a ghoul should be together, especially considering Itachi's position. Although you have a hard time believing that Itachi is a criminal and killer. That all gets shattered the day you get caught by a gang of criminals and they manage to overpower you. You're beaten up and yelled at, typical words such as monster and death threats thrown your way but you're oddly calm. As one of them walks to you, an axe in his hand as he's about to behead you, you feel a twinge of regret though as Itachi crosses your mind. You close your eyes, wait for the embrace of death yet nothing happens. In fact everything happens so fast that you barely have time to process everything before everyone around you is almost or already dead and Itachi frees you from the ropes. You feel the slight tremors of fear and rage still going through his body before accusatory eyes glare at you, asking you silently why you would accept death just like that. You want to answer but when he presses his forehead against yours, Sharingan locked with your eyes, everything fades away.
Sasuke Uchiha
💙 Imagine Sasuke's surprise when he joins Orochimaru with the full conviction that the former Sanin wants him as his new body only to find out that he's one from two candidates to be bestowed with such an honor. There's someone else Orochimaru thinks would be a splendid new body for him and that someone is you. It isn't like Sasuke desperately wants to be the new vessel for the man, he has one goal and that is killing his older brother, no matter what. It's the notion that Orochimaru considers something equally powerful as his Sharingan that insults him and turns his attention fiercely to you, the one supposedly with even better skills. You're a year older than him and have been with Orochimaru for years now with him honing your abilities and skills to near perfection. You have a few screws loose yourself and fit in perfectly as you're everything but sane. You're introduced to Sasuke although you've already been informed about him and show only mild interest. Are you infuriating Sasuke on purpose?
💙 The Uchiha boy soon wants to fight with you, triggered with you brushing so easily over him. You aren't in the mood to do so yet Sasuke leaves you no choice, you realize that he'll attack you so or so. As the older person and the one more experienced with Orochimaru, you think that you should show the young boy his place. That fight serves as motivation for Sasuke forever after, a memory he will never be able to rid himself off. He doesn't know what he expects of you yet what you show him sets the base for his obsession later on. A ghoul is something he's only heard of from in horror stories and legends yet when your frightening eyes stare down on him, your wounds regenerating whilst his aren't, he realizes that in every legend is a sprinkle of truth. You leave him beaten in his room, telling him that he should respect you since he's the younger one, especially if he can't back up all his threats. For now he's nothing but a hateful boy who tries to hide his weakness behind aggressive words in your eyes. A humiliation that imprints itself deep inside his bones and heart.
💙 It's the start of Sasuke's obsessive fascination with you. As humiliated and angry as he is, he understands why Orochimaru would consider you as a potentially new vessel. You have abilities that no one could ever hope to learn or copy, your kagune and your regeneration only a few of them. Your diet doesn't bother him in the least and you don't feel ashamed for it either. After that day, Sasuke seems to follow you around like a little duckling, burning with zealousy to fight you again. Yet you refuse every time, make it clear that you'll only fight him if you deem him as worthy because as of now he clearly isn't in your eyes. Your skills are above him in almost everything as of now but you do watch him training whilst doing your own exercises with Sasuke keeping a close eye on you, analyzing him. With you in the same room as him though, he trains nonstop as he often hallucinates you watching him too. You might or you might not, you're a bit difficult for Sasuke to figure out.
💙 In a strange and twisted way he starts looking up to you so his heart is doing sommersaults when you finally signal him that you're willing to fight him again. The end result is a draw, both of you at the end of the fight on the ground with your curse marks activated. It's an improvement yet Sasuke is not satisfied. When you end up praising him for his performance, he feels strangely enough mildly better. From that day on, both of you train together as he trains you more in the arts of ninjutsu and genjutsu. Thanks to you being a ghoul, your taijutsu is already very good so you train him in that. You grow very close, only that you see Sasuke as your adorable albeit deranged junior whilst Sasuke sees you as an equal, as someone he wants to keep by his side. He's possessive and constantly tries to dominate you in order to change your view on him yet you brush it all off with an irritating yet delightful laugh. He won't lose you to Orochimaru though, he won't let you be that man's new vessel. Nor will he become his new body. After all he has to guarantee that you will never have anyone except him by your side.

The Eyes That Reflect the Heart
Here Tobirama explains how Uchiha get the Sharingan:
The diagram used to illustrate Tobirama's explanation is of the three-tomoe Sharingan, so we are supposed to take away that his explanation holds true for the Sharingan's entire development into a full-fledged three tomoe one. Since Kishimoto doesn't draw things for no reason. Instructions on how to get the Mangekyou were already given courtesy of other characters, so this explanation here just ties it all in together while filling in and confirming certain gaps.
We also see this reinforced in the text during the moments Sasuke awakens and develops his own Sharingan. It first awakened during the night of the massacre. He got the second tomoe during the LoW to protect himself and Naruto against Haku's attacks. Then the third tomoe during the vote1 fight when Sasuke resolved to break off his bond with Naruto, his closest friend. Sasuke was instructed to kill said closest friend to get the Mangekyou which he ultimately couldn't bring himself to do, but he did end up unlocking it once he learned the truth about Itachi. Sasuke's Sharingan has exclusively been linked to his family and Naruto only.
But the idea of losing something important to gain power in regards to Naruto still held true for Sasuke even after getting the EMS. Since Naruto still had a place in Sasuke's heart, Sasuke had to kill him in order to gain the 'power' to be the Hokage he needed to be. Through killing Naruto, his one and only friend, his one remaining bond, it would allow Sasuke to live a lonely existence to watch over everyone. It's another way for Sasuke to exchange something important to him for 'power' outside of the Sharingan. Since even after everything Naruto was still his closest friend, the one link to Sasuke's past he must cut down, the one bond he couldn't cut off like the others, the one person still there in his heart. His one and only... friend. Naruto was the last thing he had to sacrifice in order to reach his goal.
Because even when Sasuke's eyes no longer had the ability to 'reflect the heart' (since he already had the EMS), his 'heart' was instead reflected in his words, thoughts, and actions which constantly and consistently highlighted the importance of one person and no one else.

I always love movies or anime that depict family drama. When I saw Sasuke’s family, I truly could resonate with him. That’s a standard Asian family.
That’s why I have a soft spot for him. If you love your family so dearly that to lose them all in a blink would destroy someone’s mind. He didn’t become some lunatics but still walked on his path to avenge his family. That’s the achievement itself.
For someone like Sasuke, he literally had no other path. For justice, he needed to kill Itachi because he massacred the whole clan. For family, he needed to kill him for he killed their parents. However, killing this person would assure him to be forever alone.
In Chinese, it called, 義, similar to morality, but it’s much closer to justice. Something in between.
That’s why I couldn’t like Itachi. He was narcissistic. He considered him the solution of this dilemma. Regardless of the outcome, he should let his clan members decide, but he was just smart and wanted to save Konoha from civil wars and his family’s face and his brother?
So…other clan members weren’t important because they weren’t the main clan? (Hinata’s father seemed better right now. He just gave his cousins seals. No life threatening. Just a reminder of who you are.)
Itachi massacred the whole clan, including babies, children, teenagers, and someone’s parents just for saving other people in Konoha. That’s just evil. Every life matters. And a lot of people said he was right.
Are you kidding me?
Yeah, Just get rid of the people he didn’t like for a better outcome for humankind. That’s just wonderful.
After I saw this drawing, I could totally get why Susake had some strong reactions.
Tell me Itachi is right, if you still could.
How could you still think he was sparing their pains? They didn’t need this pain in the first place!!A lot of his clan members didn’t know about the coup. Who gave him the right to decide?
He could just kill the people who were in charge of the coup, but no, for Uchiha was evil, he needed to kill them all. For saving the face, he needed to kill them.
Sound familiar, right? How was it different from old Asian Culture or Indian Culture, which allow the clan members to kill women conducting adultery just to save face?
And a lot of people shipped Uchiha Izumi and Itachi. I just couldn’t imagine. She would rather live, okay? There are a lot of men in the world. No matter how useless she might be, she could still find someone who loved her and she loved back.
The word, Love, could never erase Itachi’s sin. He could claim he loved his brother all along but what he had done during Massacre and after it were torture and nothing else. There were some fan fictions that Sasuke saved him from death or spared him because of learning the truth.
I don’t think that would work. Itachi had forced himself and his brother to the corner and there was absolute no turning back.
Sasuke is someone who has clear ideas in the right and wrong. Despite it’s Konoha’s order, but the person who carried out was his brother. His brother was the one who decided all Uchiha should die for the greater good.
Itachi had done the things that no humankind would allow. I truly pitied him because his life was nothing but a sigh. He had chosen the path to the darkness and only death could bring him peace. He couldn’t afford to think in other ways or he would need to face his mistakes. That’s painful and sad.

What are your favorite parts of sasuke's character that people misconstrue/forget about?
a lot of people try to downplay naruto’s importance to sasuke, but his struggle between itachi’s influence (hatred) vs naruto’s influence (warmth/easiness) is something much more relevant to his character than people are able to admit, like narratively.
sasuke is obviously a loving person, i think this has been discussed a lot but some people will still insist he isn’t, or that he doesn’t know how to show affection, or that he is shy, and none of this is true. he doesn’t hide when he loves someone, he can run away from it, try to suppress it, but he won’t lie about it. honestly, the only time i can remember sasuke lying is during reunion when he’s actively trying to push naruto away (what he says and how he behaves then is contradictory). otherwise he’s blunt and honest.
sasuke also has a strong sense of justice, he is against killing innocents, people can bring kage summit as much as they want, the point of this arc is exactly to show that even someone like sasuke can throw their morals aside in the face of so much injustice and trauma. that obviously will never make him a bad person. when the dust settles and he is able to think more rationally he decides to find out things on his own by asking the hokages, that also shows how his sense of justice works.
i don’t wholeheartedly agree when his akgaes say he was right because, yes, he was right that the nations were only united because they had a common enemy, that’s 100% on point, but they also mean that he should’ve gone on with his self destructive plan that, let’s be real, would never work. sasuke is more aware of the injustices of the shinobi world than most characters, but he still doesn’t know how to fix it, and that’s fine tbh, it doesn’t make him worse as a character/person. there is also no judgement value of admitting that his actions are both selfish and selfless, saying he’s 100% selfless as a response to people that call him a selfish asshole is not it, acting selfishly is not inherently bad per se, people really need more nuance in life.
and one last thing is that just because sasuke is loving and honest, doesn’t mean he opens up easily, because there’s this belief ingrained in him that feelings make him weak. he is not the pursuer in his relationship with naruto, he is unlikely to make the first move, even if he accepted naruto’s feelings for him in chapter 698, those beliefs shaped him and they don’t go easily. this “sasuke goes after his goals” applies to his family, when it comes to naruto, he tries to suppress how he feels, he runs away, to the point that the only solution he comes up with is to cut naruto off. he asks for naruto’s reassurance because of how he was betrayed in the past by itachi, and he won’t risk losing naruto post 698 by the possibility of being rejected and making things weird between them if he confessed and naruto wasn’t ready to come out of the closet (don’t think that would happen btw, just believe this is how sasuke sees it).

sasusaku snippet #6
[Mermaid!Sakura AU - #1]
Sasuke looks at the sand flowing between his toes. His eyes sting from the lack of sleep. It’s one of those mornings, where he’d rather stay awake than see another nightmare.
After his family died during the war, he enrolled as a soldier as soon as he legally could, thinking he had nothing to lose anymore. Several years later the war ended and, against all odds and his own wishes, he made it out of it alive. Physically alive, at least.
Now at twenty he already lives the life of an old man, recluse in a small fishermen village by the coast, far away from the crowds and the hustle and bustle that remind him too much of the battlefield, too broken to enjoy his young years, and staring at the sea for days in a silent hope that it will one day bring him peace.
He takes small jobs during the season as a help for fishermen and vendors on the port market. During winter he is a handyman for lumberjacks and carpenters and whoever needs him and can keep him busy. When his mind is restless at night, he takes long walks on the shore under the moonlight until the first lights of the morning tell him it's time to go home.
When he looks up from his feet, something catches his eye on the beach. At first he thinks it's just the white morning sun reflecting on the sand but there really is something washed up on the beach. His heart tightens thinking it's probably a dolphin that died during the night.
He walks faster towards it but suddenly slows down. It's clearly not a dolphin. His stomach turns. It's a woman, lying on the sand on her side, unconscious. Her skin is white and pearly like the inside of a seashell.
When he comes closer he realizes she is naked but her pink hair is so long and thick that it wraps around her shoulders, and covers part of her chest and hips, sticking to her skin like dried algae. She looks like a marble statue.
Suddenly the idea that such a beautiful and delicate being died makes him immensely sad. He looks around. No one is up and out at this hour yet. He squats next to her to see her better. A barely perceptible movement of her shoulder makes him freeze.
She is breathing. She's breathing! He touches her arm and his hand hesitates. Her skin is cold like the sea and she doesn’t react at all to his touch. He checks again but it's no mistake, her rib cage is moving as she breathes and he could swear he saw her eyelids move.
He needs to bring her to safety before the tide rises again. Very carefully, he wraps his cloak around her and picks her up. She feels so fragile in his arms, collapsed against his chest like a porcelain doll. He is relieved not to meet anyone on his way home. It's so early that he can only hear faraway noises of the street market just barely waking up.
He gently lays her on his couch, her head resting on a cushion and her body still covered with his cloak, and calls the doctor. Unsurprisingly, no one answers at this time of the morning. The only doctor in the village is past retirement age and has a tendency to spend the night drinking and gambling. He might not be able to have someone come over to see his new guest in a few hours.
Just when he's hanging up, he sees her move, and rushes to be at her side. He watches her as she blinks slowly and gives him an unfocused, groggy look through heavy eyelids. She has the brightest, greenest eyes he has ever seen. Salt crystals hang onto her pale pink lashes, like minuscule diamants framing the jade stones of her irises.
He is speechless.

How did Itachi murder his own family and left his brother? I would never do that! He doesn't deserve sympathy for murdering innocent people and for putting Sasuke through hell.
This is a phrase I repeatedly come across with slight changes in the words, but their intent of expressions remains the same:
I would not have done what Itachi did. My morals are better than Itachi's. I would have found a better way. He doesn't deserve to be hailed as a hero. Itachi deserves no sympathy.
[long rant post ahead]
Well, love, if it helps you a little bit, be glad it isn't about you. It's about a 4-year-old boy who was plunged into the darkness of war without his consent, at the age you might be sucking your thumb, sniffling around with your mom and dad looking after your little needs. It's about a boy who, after witnessing the horrors of war, realized he needed to stop it, no matter the cost. He didn't have to lose a friend or a family to understand this needed to stop. Children needed to stop dying.
Everyone around him abandoned him. His parents, the grown ups around him - every single one of them - used him as a tool. He raised himself, without having to rely on anyone else. The coup was going to cause massive damage, or so he was made to believe, because no one would listen to him if he disagreed with them. He had the "freedom" to choose whether he would carry out the massacre or not. Because whether he did or not wasn't going to change the end result. Danzo was going to kill people anyway. If not him, someone else would have done it. The only thing that he could change was that he would spare Sasuke's life.
For someone whose psyche was irrevocably damaged after witnessing the world war, being a Shinobi, and watching death too closely from a young age (he killed the first person when he was 4), Itachi knew the importance of life all too well. And more importantly, he would want to protect the person he loved the most from the worst - the worst in the eyes of someone who was already familiar with the emptiness and hollowness the death brought was, nothing but death itself. He was psychologically conditioned since his childhood to view death as the absolute worst. Worse than what he put Sasuke through.
And no, he was not proud of what he did. He was not proud to put Sasuke through hell.
He was not good at expressing himself. Because he had never expressed himself before except for the brief joy whenever he was around Sasuke. He watched Shisui kill himself right before his eyes, and the next day he was spending quality time with Sasuke. He didn't lose control until he was accused of killing him.
But this is where he lets go of his feelings for a little while. This is the sadness of someone who knows what he's done. His purpose in this life is to protect his home and his brother from the evil that might befall them. Everything for him has ended. Anything beyond this moment, stretching as long as it does, will be extra.
This is immediately after he leaves Sasuke. Proud of himself? No. The sky is covered in red. It signifies the blood he spilled. His crimes will haunt him for the rest of his life.
He could have left Sasuke without traumatizing him, without saying a word. But he knew how much Sasuke loved him. He would chase him. Question things. And then, what if Sasuke found out the truth? What if Sasuke went against the Leaf and tried to avenge his clan? Danzo had already threatened Itachi what that impertinence from Sasuke would result into. He was leaving his little brother in a place filled with wolves and vultures who had just made him murder his own parents. How was he supposed to have tiniest bit of faith in them? He wanted to give Sasuke a purpose to live, even if it was revenge. He wanted Sasuke to kill him. And he wanted Sasuke to not feel guilty while he did it.
Believe it or not, it's not someone who had fun or had no regrets watching his brother fall apart because of him. He hardly ever cried in his life, and this is one of those moments.
Upon joining the Akatsuki, he was too deep in the world politics where the Village, Sasuke, and the Shinobi world - their civilization, basically - was at stake. He stood between the Akatsuki and the world. It's his death that prompted the Akatsuki to finally attack his home.
Itachi devoted himself to Sasuke completely, selflessly. He was not openly sentimental but he wasn't without sentiments. What do you think made him prolong his excruciatingly painful life forcefully until the end? His ego? His pride? No. His guilt.
This is not the look of a criminal who was proud of the things he did. He lived for Sasuke. He was dying for him. His purpose was complete in this world. Sasuke had friends who loved him. Who wouldn't give up on him, wouldn't hurt him the way he (Itachi himself) had done. I personally don't think he saw his death as some sort of liberation from life or the torture he went through. He saw it as his last service towards Sasuke. He knew even his death, him giving up everything for him, couldn't make up for the things he'd done to Sasuke. His hope was in the friendship between Sasuke and Naruto. That's why he'd met Naruto before his death. He was happy and relieved to know that at least someone else would look after the brother he loved when he's gone.
Mind you, none of his actions are 'justified'. They don't deserve to be condoned because that's not what Itachi's character is in first place. He himself wouldn't agree with people who deify him. When talking about fictional characters, I don't look for justifications either. I don't have to agree with their decisions or morals. All of Itachi’s actions, justified or not, make sense. They're explainable, not excusable. I'm not into the characters who do nothing offensive so that their fans can take a moral high ground because feeling validated with fictional characters is more important.
Itachi is a complex character, probably the most complex in the series, because he's a walking paradox. He can't be considered as a complete hero or a villain. When did he get to be either of that? His intent was noble but his actions were not. He's not a hero. Or is he a hero?
He's a victim. He's a story that should have been remembered by everyone, but instead his blood-soaked tale has been thrown away because it shows the world a mirror about a 12-13 year old child who was sacrificed because of the adults' spinelessness and incompetence.
This is long, I know. If you read it this far, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.
_____
[To the haters: I did not write this for you to rant about how he's a horrible person and all. Please go where you'll be heard. If you really want to self-insert in his place and think you'd have done better, by all means flee. Make the world a better place.]

In love with Mew - Sasuhina Month Day 24
So technically I'm late, but I have been working on this for ages. I don't know what it was about this month, but there were so many WIPs for this that I ended up hating, including Day 8 which was originally going to be my TMM au. It's a bit of a deeper dive into the relationship of Sasuke and Hinata from last years fic. I only did, 2, 3 fics this year, but I hope you like it. I do want to post a full fic of the AU eventually but maybe I'll just do a massive text dump with the idea, who knows.

Flowers & Weapons | Flores y Armas
Oblivious & Observant | Inadvertido y Observador
Hinata walked around the park, listening to the sounds of the area around her. Rehearsal had let out and Sasuke disappeared quickly, only leaving a text for her to meet him here. she thought they’d be doing their normal tradition of getting food by together on the first night of performances but Sasuke had been weird all morning. She started down the stairs taking her lower down into the park when finally, she spotted him. She’d recognise his hair anywhere, spikes and all.
“Sasuke!” he stood up off the bench he’d been sitting on, with his hands behind his back. “I thought we were getting lunch.”
“We will.” He promised, shifting a little. “I just, I needed to give you something.” Sasuke pulled a bouquet of flowers from behind his back, sunflowers and lavender.
Hinata let out a small laugh as she took them. “I thought I get flowers after the performance.” She reminded, sniffing the lavender.
It had been a tradition, since their first performance in Juniors Symphony. They’d done separate performances - Strings, Winds, Percussion – and after her Wind performance, Sasuke have her a massive bouquet of flowers, promising to always give her some after every performance. It became after every first night due to how many she brought home after the first few months. She hadn’t told him, but she’d dry the flowers out and put them in shadowboxes, hanging them up labelled with the orchestra piece they performed that day. They were, to her, the physical representation of how he felt. Of how she felt about him.
“You do, but this is more than just keeping a promise. I want to tell you something, maybe you already know but…we’ve known each other since we were kids. I didn’t want a practise partner for auditions but mom insisted and it turned out to be you. you were shy, but you didn’t give up. Your grandparents were poking at you for not being a prodigy but I remember watching you play through your piece without any mistakes for the first time. I thought it was beautiful. I wanted to be your friend then.”
She did remember that. Sasuke was still his usual closed off self, but he talked to her more. actually, smiled at her. By the time he gave her her first flowers, he was nearly different around her compared to strangers.
“as we got older, wanting to make you smile with the flowers was my main goal and as our families started picking on each other more, I was worried I wasn’t going to be around you anymore. I mean, we were supposed to attend the same school. When I thought I was going to lose you, it occurred to me that it was more than just losing my best friend. I’d be losing someone I loved.”
Hinata felt her breath still. “You, what?”
Sasuke took a breath and stepped closer. “Hinata, I love you. have loved you for as long as I can remember. One of my best friends confessed to me and I had to turn her down, and I realised while I didn’t like hurting her, keeping quiet about how I felt about you was going to hurt us if you decided to move on with someone else.”
“Why would I do that? I have you.” she said, not thinking fully. At the surprised look on his face, she looked at her flowers. “It’s, it’s always been you. I just, didn’t know how to put it in words. But every bouquet you’ve given me, felt like you telling me how you felt.”
“So, will you be mine?” he asked, hesitantly like she’d even say no.
So, she took his hand and looked up at him. “of course I will. Though, our parents…”
There had been some disagreement between their fathers, one that nearly stole Hinata from Sasuke completely like he feared and now the men almost always refused to speak to each other, let alone look kindly to their families interacting. They knew their mothers would be on their side, but they both knew their fathers would want something from the other before they let their kids date each other.
Sasuke sighed, knowing this. “we don’t have to tell them.”
“Kō would know.” she said, reminding him that her caretaker picked on things in seconds. “If we let them know now, they can get their peacocking out of the way and then we can date.”
“Or I can say screw getting their permission and just kiss you anyway?” Hinata was red but she still glared at Sasuke. “Or we can wait.”
“Besides, it’ll make the kiss that much sweeter.” She pointed out, giving him a mischievous smile.
She let out a squeak when Sasuke snuck one onto her cheek, smirking down at her. He laced their fingers together and tugged her down the path.
“Come on. I think I heard something about a café opening here.”
The café was actually a flower shop, though the castle like exterior made Sasuke give a comment about love hotels Hinata hit him for.
“They’re not open yet. ‘Mew Bouquets’, that’s an interesting name.” Hinata said, looking at the sign.
“Hey, they have an ice cream stand over there.” Sasuke spotted. “wanna cone?”
“Before lunch?”
“Like that’s stopped you before.” he teased.
Sticking her tongue out at him, she asked him for vanilla and waited by the building. Across the flower shop, was a slight hill were a girl with pink hair was rolling on the grass. She heard oriental music playing in the distance, no doubt from street performers. A girl in a trench coat and glasses passed her by and she heard someone yelling at someone for eating all the food somewhere. The world felt normal and it made her feel more confident in what she confessed. She was in love with Sasuke, it was a fact that was correct with the world. She took another sniff of the flowers, wondering what their orchestra mates would think seeing her with flowers early. Some of them were so superstitious, she wondered if they’d panic at the sight.
All of a sudden, the birds went quiet and dogs started barking and the ground started to shake.
“An earthquake?” Hinata dropped to the ground, trying not to panic, wondering where Sasuke was and if he was ok. Then there was a light, so bright it was like it was coming from under her. It enveloped her, leaving her standing in a hazy scene. She heard the bellowing sounds of a whale and looked around. Something nudge at her head and she turned. There it was, the whale, floating in front of her calmly. She didn’t know why, but she reached her hand out and touched it, feeling warm when it started to glow. “What are you?”
‘A friend. I’ll help protect you.’
The next thing she knew, she heard her name being called. She opened her eyes to see Sasuke’s worried face looking down at her. Kō was also there, sighing when she turned her head to him.
“Thank goodness. Quick, get her up. We’re taking her to the hospital.” Kō held on to her flowers as he stood up. Wasn’t she just holding those? And why was he getting up?
Sasuke moved as well, Hinata moving with him. He was carrying her. Why?
“What happened?” she asked, wrapping her arms around Sasuke’s neck as he followed her caretaker.
“You passed out. the earthquake came out of nowhere and when it stopped and I got back to you, you were unconscious. You weren’t waking up, I had to call Kō.”
“The concert.” She started.
“Who cares?” Sasuke said, looking scared. “You’re getting checked out first, everything else can wait.”
She had more questions, but she felt exhausted. She’d been fine after rehearsal and even after the walk to the park but now, all she wanted was a nap. So, she rested her head on Sasuke’s shoulder and let the motion of his walking lull her to sleep.
______________________
“They’re dating?” Hinata asked, lacing her hand through Sasuke’s arm. He’d been updating her on his friends’ apparently ‘busy’ weekend. It had been busy for them, getting cleared by the doctor before rushing back to the auditorium to perform. Plus, there was Hinata noticing the odd mark by her right eye. it was a spiral with something that reminded her of a tail. She didn’t know where it came from, just that she’d kept having dreams of what she saw during the earthquake, with the whale. A bowhead whale. It got to the point where she looked up what the animal was.
“Yep. Naruto’s had a crush on her forever and I guess my rejecting her got her to decide to say yes to going out with him. She came to thank me weirdly enough. I’m just happy she’s happy now.”
“People will never believe me when I tell them Uchiha Sasuke is a softy.”
“Shut up.” He said, causing Hinata to giggle into her roses. It was their first performance after the earthquake, after he told her how he felt. Sasuke decided that he didn’t want to waste time tip toeing around, but like Hinata pointed out, their fathers wanted something from the other and it was now a waiting game for Sasuke to get permission to date Hinata, or if she knew her best friend as well as she thought, for Sasuke to get annoyed with waiting and just date her anyway.
“It was a little worrying though. Turns out she was at the park during that earthquake and also passed out. she was out for hours but she’s been acting a little strange since. More, wild I guess. I don’t know.”
Hinata squeezed his arm. “I’m sure she’s ok. Naruto’s aunt is a doctor right? So, he knew what to look for. And maybe being with him makes her a bit more free. Animals have been doing strange things too. Did I tell you what Cinna did?” She asked, talking about her Shiba Inu.
“No, what?”
“So, you know how sometimes, we’ll let him stick his head out the window in the town car? He jumped out this time, ended up jumping on a girl coming from work. We were passing the park actually.”
So many things seemed to happen around that park that Hinata was wondering if it would be best to avoid it completely.
“That dog has all the energy you don’t show off, I swear.”
“Hey!”
They reached the stage door, just managing to miss the patrons who wanted to pass out flowers to their favourite members. Kō was waiting for Hinata, talking with Sasuke’s cousin who was in charge of his pickup.
“I’ll call you later. Tell Cinna to stop jumping out of moving cars.” Sasuke said, pressing a kiss to her cheek, cut short by Kō’s cough for attention. “Bye.”
“Bye.” Hinata said, shooting Kō a look as their car pulled up. “I thought you were on my side.” She stated, handing him her flute case as she climbed in.
“I’m also on the side of the man who signs my checks. Don’t worry, everyone knows where this relationship was going, they’ll settle their differences and get what they want or they’ll have Sasuke’s mother to deal with.
Uchiha Mikoto was a terrifying person. To Hinata, she was the scariest thing that ever existed, not counting an annoyed conductor and a bad rehearsal. At least until the same girl Cinna had jumped on randomly appeared wanting to return the handkerchief Hinata had given her. Kō was thrown off by her sudden urge to show off her phone charm to every corner of the foyer but Sakura kindly left, at least until Cinna wandered back inside from saying goodbye, growling and grew into a large monster. After watching Sakura turn into a cat eared hero, things were explained to her. The earthquake at the park, a machine revving up to change the DNA of 5 girls, all who were compatible with endangered animal DNA. The whale she saw, that was her animal. The one that allowed her to change into a Mew.
“The flower shop.” Hinata asked, after the battle she couldn’t explain to Kō as the reason the whole foyer was destroyed. “That’s…”
“Home base. Sasori is gonna want you to work there, that way we’ll be nearby in case they need us and so we’re actually paid for being turned into heroes. You can totally yell at him after if you want, that’s what I did when I started looking for answers.”
She wanted to complain but it felt like she didn’t have much of a choice. Her best friend, her constant when everyone else was busy, Cinna, had been turned into a monster. Who was to say what would happen if she hadn’t done anything?
“And don’t worry about rehearsals at the Symphony. I have a friend who’s part of the Orchestra, so I know when your rehearsals and performances are. I’ll help you talk sense into him.”
Hinata couldn’t really think of what else to say, so she took Sakura’s number and promised to be at Mew Bouquets after school. She sent Sakura in a car, while Kō tried to figure out what to do. Hinata’s side of the mansion was really only accessible by the front staircase, since it was closer to the living room she preferred to practise in. she was still trying to wrap her head around what had happened when another car pulled into the gates and letting Sasuke out.
“Hinata! What happened? are you ok?” he asked, pulling her into her arms, Cinna struggling slightly as he was pressed between them.
“I’m ok, just…. I don’t even know if I believe what happened. what are you doing here?” she asked, pulling away to look at him.
Sasuke looked at her like the question was stupid. “Kō called me. You’re staying the night at home. He said you were down here when it happened? who just left?”
Hinata dropped Cinna to the floor and wrapped her arms around Sasuke’s waist, Sasuke hugging her back automatically. It was starting to hit her, one fight in and with details still left unexplained. She go thrown around a bit, but she wasn’t majorly hurt. the aches from the fight had dulled in the span on minutes. If she was attacked with Sasuke close by, he could get hurt.
“Hinata, what’s wrong?” he asked softly, like he was trying to talk her down from an anxiety attack.
“Just, can you just hold me and save the questions for later?”
He held her tighter and pressed a kiss into her hair and didn’t speak.
_______________________
Being a Kunoichi Mew was, well…there weren’t proper words to explain it. sometimes it felt like she was a normal girl. She had a part time job at a flower shop, she’d listen to Sakura argue with Saori while watching Ino and Diedara fight about flower arrangements and how they shouldn’t look like they just exploded. TenTen had to be talked out of hitting picky costumers with flowers used as shuriken, impressive as it was when she nailed the hit.
Most nights, they’d change out of their colour coded uniforms, back into their school uniform and continue gossiping or complaining about school while waiting for Kō to come pick her up. Other days, the shop would either close unexpectedly or not open at all as they donned their Mew transformations to go stop creatures created by Pein. Sasori was still compiling information so they didn’t know why the alien was so insistent on fighting them or what he wanted. Just that it was their job to stop him. The human souls part was new which made it harder to stop him but they hadn’t failed yet.
So yes, trying to explain what a Mew was felt impossible, but Hinata could be happy for the few joys it brought. It however, did not stop the everyday life troubles she’d deal with. Like Neji.
Sakura needed an outfit to go to a party with Naruto and their school’s soccer team, so Hinata offered she could borrow one. It turned into a field trip with the others to her house. They’d been thrown by all the staff greeting her as she came in but even more when Neji came down the stairs, nose in his book and followed by his guard. He didn’t say much, even when Hinata introduced her friends. Just told them to move out of his way.
It was easy to keep distracted by talking about her wall of dried flowers from Sasuke. Ino and TenTen were quizzing her about Sasuke and their feelings for each other, Sakura oddly not joining in when Cinna ran out from the closet and to the door to her room. He whimpered, scratching at the door that slowly opened. The minute a leg was through the door, Cinna tried jumping up that.
“I saw you two days ago.” Sasuke said, lifting Cinna in his arms, moving his mouth away as Cinna covered him in kisses. He was still dressed in his school uniform and he had his violin case on his back. “Hey Hinata, Kō said you had people over so I – uh, hi?” he said when he realised he was being stared at by the girls.
“Is that him? Hinata, he’s gorgeous.” Ino said, checking Sasuke out.
TenTen circled him, stopping in front of him and stared, eyes slightly narrowed but Sasuke didn’t back down either.
“I hear you and Hinata might be dating.”
“TenTen!” Hinata cried from the doorway of the closet, blind to Sakura trying to keep from laughing.
“I’d like to.” Sasuke said, blunt as ever. “But it’s her choice. That and our stupid parents.”
TenTen hummed before punching Sasuke on the shoulder. “You’ll do. But if you do hurt her, you’ll have us to answer to.” She said, gesturing to the others.
Sasuke rolled his eyes but stopped when he saw Sakura standing next to Hinata.
“Sakura?”
“Hi. We’ve been friends since middle school.” Sakura explained at the confused looks.
“Ah! You’re his Sakura. How did I not realise you were the same person?”
“Hey, I didn’t realise Sasuke’s crush was you. I think the only time we would have figured it out was when Yukie Fujikaze came. He and Naruto helped me translate but you and Ino didn’t come out until after they left. Honestly, I don’t think you even know where Hinata works.” Sakura scolded, Sasuke refusing to look at her.
“Do you want me to come back tomorrow?” he asked Hinata, hoping to distract her.
“Oh, no. you’re not getting away that easily.” Ino said, taking him by the arm and dragging him out of the room. “You two have so much to tell us!”
Hinata hid her face in her hands, only pulling them out when Sakura bumped her shoulder with hers. “Come on, let’s go save him. At least now I know who’s he’s always texting during breaks.”
It should have been fine, watching Ino and TenTen pull information from Sasuke about the two of them growing up when Kō suggested they come to their next performance.
“The Symphony Orchestra is playing with the Konoha Ballet Company on their first leg of their Romeo and Juliet tour. You must come to opening night. Hinata’s father and sister won’t be able to attend so she has 2 extra tickets. I suppose Sasuke might have another if your father is busy.”
Sasuke nodded while Hinata felt confused. “I have 3. We get 4 and you’re the only one who will be here.”
“Well, since Neji is home, I thought to invite him as well.”
Neji was her cousin but the closest thing to a brother she had. They’d grown up and after his father passed, her own father practically adopted him. If it wasn’t for succession rules, Hinata knew Neji would be the one to become the new head of the family. He’d been the first person she played for, the first person who gave her flowers before Sasuke. As they got older though, Neji was expected to be perfect like the Hyuuga family was and the warm and kind brother she’d grown up with turned into the cold person who’d greeted her friends. She’d never pull him from making his family happy, no matter how much she wanted her brother back.
“Nii-san has a conference the same day. He won’t be attending.”
“I’m sure he’ll change his mind. This is the first time you both are doing this. did you know Neji used to be Hinata’s biggest supporter, always wanting to listen to her practise?” Kō started, stopped when the sound of her chopsticks hit the table.
“He’s not coming. I’m tired, please show the girls out when they’re done.” She said, pushing her chair back and leaving the dining room.
Sasuke would find her cuddling Cinna in her room later. He didn’t say much, pulling off his blazer before dropping into Hinata’s bed, waiting for her to speak. She stayed silent and he decided to at least turn his violin while he waited. That’s when she moved to stop hiding in Cinna’s fur.
“I shouldn’t want him there. He can’t, he’s got obligations. But…”
“We’re allowed to want family to support us, even if they’re really bad at it.”
She continue wishing for it, as they got ready for opening night. she got suspicious when Ino was invited backstage by Kō with TenTen and Sakura no where to be seen. Sakura gave up going to the party with Naruto to come support her so her absences was even more noticeable. When Neji appeared outside the dressing room, she figured it out.
“What are you doing here? You have a conference you’re going to be late for.” She said, refusing to look at Neji, her hands no doubt leaving a mess on her flute.
“I was invited.”
Hinata looked over to the girls who looked hopeful. They didn’t have to go through so much, which made doing what she did next make her feel worse. “You should go. I didn’t want family here.”
They both ignored for the moment that Kō was related to them both.
“Hinata, come on. he came – ” Sakura started.
“But I didn’t want him here. I’m sorry you wasted your time talking to him but Neji, you should just go. I have to go; we’re supposed to be getting there for tuning.” She didn’t wait for an answer, grabbing Sasuke’s arm and dragged him towards the stage door.
“Hinata, slow down.” he said.
“No! I can’t believe they did that.”
“They didn’t. I told him to come.” Sasuke said, making her stumble to a stop and turn to him.
She didn’t get to question him when the whole hallway was filled with terrified screams as a creature with a mask spun in pirouettes while brandishing a sword in place of an arm.
“The fuck?!”
Zetsu, the name for the creatures created with animals, or human souls now, and a parasite controlled by Pein.
______________________
“Your lucky that your violin wasn’t destroyed.” She was lucky her flute made it out unscathed, using it as a distraction against the Zetsu.
Before they could transform, the ballet Zetsu had attacked on Pein’s orders, hitting Neji and Kō and Sasuke standing in front of her to keep her protected, even if it left him flung across the room.
“A snapped string isn’t any better.” He said, fiddling with a loaner one he’d been able to get in the theatre, from the original orchestra that performed at the venue. He let Hinata lift his head to dab at the cut on his brow. “I’m surprised they didn’t just cancel this completely.”
“Donors sitting in the audience. They can wait, but if no one’s broken a bone, we go on. that, and they think it’s a sign perseverance with the creatures’ sudden appearance.” Hinata said, reciting what their conductor and orchestra leader had told them. “What did you mean before? About telling Neji to come?”
After the fight was over and Hinata found her brother and caretaker both ok, she tried one more time to get Neji to go to his conference. He pulled out a small bouquet of daisies from his blazer pocket, just like the same first one he gave ever.
“I thought that if I took head of the family, it would mean your father wouldn’t put so much pressure on you, that you could still be happy and play without having to worry about making your father happy. I know your,” at that time, Neji looked over at the doorway where the others were peaking around, including Neji’s guard. Sasuke was leaning against the doorway, the girls watching around them, looking bored. But she knew he was listening intently, “Current situation is leaving you with difficult decisions. I just didn’t want you to have to make you weren’t happy with. I’m sorry doing so made you think I didn’t care.”
Sasuke pulled away from the cloth, looking at the mirror they were seated next to in the dressing room. “I called him and told if he cared about you at all, to get his ass down here or I’d beat him with my violin.” He said so nonchalantly, pushing his bangs back to see how bad the cut was.
“What?”
“What? You wanted him there, even if you were protesting the whole time. Your family, except for Kō almost never comes. Be nice if someone you know cared was also in the audience.”
“So, you threatened him?”
Sasuke shrugged. “he was making you sad.”
“into the pit everyone!” the stage hand called.
“I think this will – what?” Sasuke asked, picking up his bow, loaner violin in hand.
Hinata pressed a kiss onto his cheek as she took her flute in hand. “Thank you.”
“yeah, yeah. Come on. we wait any longer, the ballerinas might be the ones to hurt us, not whatever that thing was.” Sasuke said, his ears red.

Hinata tried to ignore the looks. She wasn’t supposed to be at practise, she’d already called out. but she couldn’t be at the flower shop. Not with the nightmares and the arguments right on her mind.
“Hey.” Sasuke appeared in front of her, startling her. He looked worried. “Sakura just texted me. Aren’t you supposed to be at work?”
“I don’t want to talk about her. I’ve missed enough practises, so I’m here.”
“Yeah, but,” one of the obo players said, “you’re like always perfect and on point so everyone’s fine if you miss a few practises.”
Because people at the flower shop thought the sounds of her practising during work hours was enough of an excuse to come inside.
“I just don’t want to fail or mess up.”
That was as far as she was going to go on the subject and thankfully people dropped it. any questions were instead replaced with gossip being shared or teasing her about what bouquet she’d get next from Sasuke. It was their biggest performance since their summer concert. After the concert, the whole shop team had gone out to the beach and they experienced Mew Aqua. Mew Aqua had…
“Alright, shall we get started? Oh, Hyuuga, welcome back? Work cancelled?” the conductor asked.
“I quit.” She saw Sasuke looking at her over the heads of those sitting in the second violin section. “I want to focus on my music.”
“Oh, well. we’re happy to have you back. Let’s start with the first piece shall we? Hyuuga, keep up if you can.”
It was easy to lose herself in the music, thoughts of what her life had become after the earthquake, after she’d been combined with animal DNA, pushed as far as they went. People were fine to not ask questions as she easily kept pace, did her solos perfectly and easily corrected any mistakes. Sasuke was not people.
“Hey! hey, wait a second.” He called, following her when they were let out and yanking her to a stop. “You quit? You love working at the flower shop.”
“And now I don’t, can we let it go?”
Sasuke pulled her back, letting go when she pulled her arm away. “Sakura said you snapped at her for clocking out for a while to be with Naruto. You, who’s always gossiping with me about those two.”
Sakura was off being in love, wondering if she should tell Naruto about her pink cat secret while they were tasked with saving the world. Saving the world from aliens, who created creatures for them to stop. Some of them, stronger than they could handle. They wanted to wipe out humans and now they were finding out it was all for one thing. Mew Aqua, a mineral so pure, it interacted with the animal DNA they held. It gave her a tail. If she continued this, there was a chance full exposure would fully turn her into a mermaid, pull her away from Sasuke or fall right into the aliens’ hands and it would all be for nothing. She didn’t want to do it anymore. Neji put up with their family so she could do what she wanted. She didn’t want to be a hero anymore. What was the point?
“What is going on? will you just talk to me? You’ve been acting weird ever since you got back from that beach trip.”
“Just drop it! honestly at this point, I’m wondering why you even care. You haven’t done anything about us, so clearly I’m just something to sooth your ego. I’m tired of having to be at everyone’s beck and call, so just leave me the hell alone!”
She didn’t have to yell at Sasuke, not when he kept texting her apologizing for something that wasn’t his fault. She was fine that their relationship hadn’t moved forward, much as she wanted it to. Sasuke had been hurt by a Zetsu before, she wasn’t about to make him a massive target.
_________________
“So, he’s not worth fighting for? As scared as you are to do this, you don’t think Sakura has the right idea, focusing on Naruto as her reason to fight?”
“First an earthquake and then a mini flood? All with another monster?”
Hinata looked at Sasuke who came into the spare bedroom with the first aid kit. Screams and cries from another bedroom with the girls spilled into the room, cut when Sasuke closed the door behind him. When Hinata first transformed, Sasuke rushed over the minute he was told. This time he didn’t have to wait for a call. He’d come over, hoping to try one more time to talk to Hinata when he spotted the attack Temari caused to her room. Her shadowboxes were fine, if only a bit bent and mixed up. As much as she wanted to yell at the older girl for attack her home like that, she made a fair point.
Sasuke was her reason to fight. The fighting and what would happen scared her, but the aliens winning and losing Sasuke hurt more.
“Do they still hurt?”
Another one of Temari’s attacks had left her with scraps and bruises, plus a cut or two. She’d been about to attack Cinna, who followed Sasuke around like he was also his owner. The bird Mew really knew how to get her where it hurt.
“No.” she hadn’t said much to Sasuke when she got back to the mansion, her friends in tow. All he’d done was squeeze her tight and question why she and the others were soaking wet, listening to Sakura complain about getting caught in the flood. He didn’t even ask why Hinata was in her pyjamas and the others were in their work uniforms. She kept thinking of what she said after practise.
Sasuke grabbed her legs, turning her so they rested on his lap. Cinna, who’d been snuggled in her arms since coming in from outside with TenTen, wriggled for Hinata to let him go. He stuck his head under Sasuke’s hand, begging for pets.
“Spoiled.” He says, giving in before focusing on the first aid kit. He cleaned off the scratches on Hinata’s knees, before focusing on a cut near her ankle.
“I’m sorry.” She said, twisting the skirt of her nightdress in her hands without Cinna in them to keep her occupied. “I, what I said.”
“You’re not wrong.” Sasuke interrupted, tying off the gauze with a piece of medical tape. “I don’t normally wait around to do what I’m told. We’ve had plenty of instances were I should have just done it, regardless, but I didn’t. Hinata, I meant what I said at the park, I love you. that hasn’t changed and I’m sorry if I made you feel like it has.”
“I got scared.” She confessed. “everything that’s happening, I don’t know how Sakura can be so happy with Naruto with all the attacks. I got scared, that it’s all going to be ripped away.”
She hadn’t been looking at Sasuke, so she didn’t see him lean closer, just felt his fingers move her head up. Sasuke’s lips pressed against hers, leaving her breath shuttering.
“I’m not going anywhere. Ok, not unless you tell me to.” Sasuke promised.
Hinata closed her eyes and kissed Sasuke, pulling him closer by his jacket. She let out a startled squeak when Sasuke pulled her onto his lap by her legs, Cinna barking in annoyance from all the moving, but neither listened to him as Sasuke put his hand on her cheek and pulled her down for another kiss.
“Hey, what’s all the – oh!” Sakura yelled, causing the two musicians to pull away, Hinata red and Sasuke glaring.
“Do you knock?”
“Ignore me, we were never here. just drop her off when you’re done.” Sakura called, the other girls giggling as the door shut behind them.
Hinata couldn’t help but laugh as she hid her face in Sasuke neck when he groaned. “she’s not gonna let me live that down.”
“Payback, for whenever you find her and Naruto.” Hinata said, moving so she could look at Sasuke. “Was that…?”
“Me tired of waiting. Sorry I didn’t do it earlier.”
Things would be harder now. There would be times that saving the world would have to trump Sasuke, where lying to him would be the best way to keep him safe.
“You left me waiting a while.” She said, deciding to ignore that for now.
“Well, I’ve got you until Sakura gets bored of waiting.” Sasuke said, kissing her again.
Being a Mew was hard to put in words beyond scary and more pressure inducing than her family. But she gained new friends, new skills and realised sometimes waiting wasn’t worth it. she didn’t know how this fight would end, she just knew she’d have Sasuke when the final battle approached, even if she permanently gained a tail.

Best Naruto Fics I read in 2022
SNS
The sun is too bright, it hurts.
The first time Sasuke sees Naruto, they are six years old. Sasuke is not stupid, he learns fast, and there are three basic things about Naruto you can know after being five seconds in the same room as him: first, he’s noisy. Second, he talks a lot. Third, he’s annoying.
Years later, Sasuke thinks the same, but Naruto is much more than that to him.
Love is Just Another Word for Understanding
Maybe it’s because Naruto doesn’t know when to quit, because he’s always there in the periphery, because he’s loud and obnoxious and pushy. Maybe it’s because Naruto is the only one who’s been able to land a hit on him in a spar for months now. Maybe it’s because Naruto is the only one who’s not afraid to make him bleed.
Regardless, Naruto is Sasuke’s rival. And as such, Sasuke watches him.
And watches.
And watches.
---
In which Sasuke finds many aspects of Naruto's life objectionable, and as a result more or less abducts--I mean, adopts him.
Gaalee
All the Grain of Babylon
Sunagakure is an outpost’s outpost, the most hidden of the hidden villages. Situated deep in the bowels of the planet Kaze, aptly named for the devastating windstorms caused by its thin atmosphere, the village is mostly nomadic. Under attack, the entire village can close off its tunnel structure and relocate in less than twenty-four hours, so long as the location of the Seed Bank isn’t discovered.
With Gaara as its leader and a code of strict cultural mores, the small underground society has survived, perhaps even thrived. But their safety and stability is put at risk when a ship crashes on the surface of Kaze, a ship whose crew claim to be the last known survivors of the long-abandoned planet Earth. And what the outsiders bring with them causes Gaara to question everything he's ever known ...
not creepin', just stuck
And now here they were, squeezed into a cozy little corner booth at the real coffee shop just up the street. The one with the blackboard menu and overstuffed upholstery on the mismatched chairs and a barista who, Gaara noticed with no small amount of jealousy, was neither required to wear a nametag nor recite a pithy canned slogan before each order.
Or, the inevitable consequences of being stuck in a donut case together.
On My Way Home
There is nothing now that Gaara, the man, can do to heal the wounds caused by Gaara, the monster. He cannot bring murdered villagers back from the dead. He cannot un-traumatize the children he terrorized in his youth. He cannot even repair the desert ecosystem that he disrupted during his massive, sand-filled rages. All he can do is be a safe harbor - level, and steady, and reliable as the sunrise - for his village, for his family, and for his friends.
Return to Sender
For nearly a decade, Rock Lee and Gaara have written each other, like clockwork. Their friendship grew steadily over many years, and at some point, without realizing it Rock Lee had fallen completely and irrevocably in love with Gaara.
But when he realizes this, advice from his mentor gives him little hope of ever being able to confess.
And so he does the only thing he can think to do: he writes it all down in a letter he never intends to send.
Iruka fics because I love him
whatever you wish for, you keep
Iruka saves a young fox kit in the schoolyard, and is forced to deal with the (not so bad) consequences.
Maslow
The first four tiers of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Human Needs applied to Naruto’s depressing childhood. Alternatively: Iruka slowly becomes the best replacement mother a ninja could have.
a beating heart of stone
During Iruka's first year teaching — on his own, because apparently there is a severe lack of teachers — he loses his curriculum, gets into a low-key fight with Shimura Danzo and accidentally creates an army. To be fair, none of this was planned.
BONUS
One of the greatest Naruto rewrites of all time
from the corner of your eye
When a misunderstanding prompts Sasuke to take a deeper involvement in the growth of his teammates, no one is quite prepared for the way things... change. Especially Sasuke.
The question is - is it for the better?

So while that happens, the entirety of the Hidden Leaf are freaking tf out. Not only did they just lose the first (publicly known) Wood Release user since Lord First immediately after they got her, but they also lost the jinchuuriki too. Anyone who is not in Root has no clue who Sai is or where he came from (hint: inside the walls). It is a disaster.
Sai and Sakura had their little bout of fisticuffs in the Academy schoolyard. Sasuke saw the Wood Release and is like, that might be useful, I need to learn that. He leaves to try and find out where they could have gone. Unlike the adults who are rightfully going wtf, Sasuke is like, sick jutsu bro. He finds Sakura’s little hideout and her diary with all her notes inside. Any pretense of not caring beyond learning a rad new jutsu flies out the treehouse as he sees various mentions of this “Keigo” guy (Sakura named Sai Keigo because he called her Ugly in an attempt to give her a friendly nickname and she cried (no self-esteem), forcing him to explain what the hell he was thinking. Since he told her to give him a name since he didn’t have one and kept being rude, she named him “Polite Speech” as a middle finger) and Naruto is the son of the Nine Tails (that was her best theory, cut her some slack, she was 11 when she came up with it). Sasuke firmly believes that this Keigo guy is an enemy nin who is using his classmates, and decides, yeah I can rescue them because he’s 12 and never not been able to figure shit out. How hard could a rescue op be?
Very hard is the answer. He is able to leave a shadow clone behind to get his classmates (you know, all the clan heirs that you don’t want to lose) to leave the village with him to “find Naruto and Sakura” (really, it’s to throw the searchers off and cause a distraction so he can solve the issue and leverage them for answers about Naruto’s relationship to the Nine Tails). Sasuke is also stuck with this old guy who claims he’s Jiraiya of the Sannin, but really, he’s just a dirty, old man who keeps chasing skirts at every rest stop they’re at. It’s annoying, but the guy might die if Sasuke leaves him alone because if he keeps calling himself a Sannin, people are going to try and kill him. Sasuke still can’t quite believe that Jiraiya is Jiraiya of the Sannin, even after he meets Tsunade. He’s not entirely convinced Tsunade is Tsunade Senju either, and feels for Shizune. Shizune is trying her very best not to laugh at Jiraiya and Tsunade when Sasuke is like, yeah, sure you’re a Sannin, and I have a loving, living family, now chop, chop, put the vices down, we got idiots to hunt down.
These are the shitpost meme esque vibes I got going on:
Jiraiya: “Dear God, whoever took them must be a master of evasion.”
Cut to the three idiots arguing over whether moss only grows on the north side of trees. They personify the song “Lost” from the Percy Jackson musical
Sai: “This would be so much easier if we still had a map.”
Sakura: “It was an accident! You make dinner next time!”
Sai: 100% earnest “Sure, I like eating things with flavor.”
Sakura: “Why you little-” Homer Simpson chokes him
Naruto: holding up the charred remains of their map “Hold on guys, I think we might be near this little, not burnt bit.”
Sai: “No, we’re not. We passed that point two days ago.”
Naruto: “Maybe we went in a circle?”
Sakura: “FUCK!”
Sasuke: goes up to the sleeping Jiraiya “WAKEY WAKEY” immediately uses a water jutsu to drown him awake
Jiraiya: “AAAAAAH!!” Coughs up water “I taught you that jutsu so you could put out any fires started by your Fire Release practice on your own.”
Sasuke: “I’d say a dumpster fire counts.”
Danzo: looks up from his desk “Why do I hear boss music?”
A wild Itachi appears
Tsunade: “Let me get this straight. The Hidden Leaf lost two Academy students who not only were they the worst in their physical training scores, but they also have the potential to be some of the biggest powerhouses in this generation. And you two are their only hope at finding them because the Leaf doesn’t want to alert the other villages to what they lost by sending out an actual search party?”
Sasuke: “Yup.”
Jiraiya: “That pretty much covers it. So? Will you help us?”
Tsunade: starts cackling

consider: shino sai friendship. the autism bros.. their parallel play would be incredible
YOU ARE SOSO RIGHT ANON and even though I made a post about them already, I’m willing to say it SO MANY TIMES, they’d be incredible friends to each other.
And NOW, I have an excuse to expand on my Shino-Sai friendship ideas, thank you anon 🫶
shino 🤝 sai
younger brothers with tragically young deceased brothers who they miss a lot
I like to think their relationship really progressed after the war, when Shino learned about Torune and ROOT. He could vaguely remember the masked men taking Torune away in his place but Shibi refused to talk much about it because of the grief of losing a child. There was only one ROOT member that might have anything to tell him about his brother before he died and it was Sai.
Sai didn’t know much, but he attempted to tell Shino everything he did know. At first, it was just the basic shinobi report/rundown. Then, he talked about Torune and Fuu and their relationship from what he saw. Sai didn't know much because Danzō made sure to keep the ROOT soldiers apart but he went on a mission or two with Torune and he seemed to genuinely be a good guy, even if he was a bit withdrawn. Sai apologized for not knowing much but Shino cried and told him it was enough. Just knowing his brother wasn't completely broken-in and emotionless, that even if it was terrible, Torune still had the ability to love made him break down. Sai tried his best to comfort him through it.
And that's when they became friends. I think after that, they hung out a LOT. Sai would randomly show up in Shino's house (you know how people headcanon that Kakashi just shows up through the window. well, I think all ANBU do that and Kakashi is the only one polite enough to slam open your window as a warning. Sai and Yamato are just 🧍♂️ in your living room).
I think Shino never really got many guests, especially since the Aburames are like the reserved bug family, so he's absolutely delighted to have another friend over that's not his team. He can show Sai his clan's huge bug collection and Sai will not bat an eye at a giant spider in the living room. He'll probably say hello to it.
Shino, pointing at a giant spider in the corner: This is Fluffy she's very sweet but people are scared of her a lot so just don't scream and you'll be fine. Sai, internally: How does one befriend big spider? Hmm...
I also think that after the war, Sai moved from the apartment Danzō gave him and into a small house or something, as a fresh start now that ROOT was disbanded. I know in my heart that Shino is the friend you would call on to help you move.
They try their best to make everything match but then Sai’s house ends up monochrome and Ino has to step in 😭
I think a big part of their relationship is just them understanding each other. Autism parallel play is real!!
Shino can tell on some level that Sai is like him. They’re strangely similar actually, I think they resemble each other more than Sai ever resembled Sasuke, especially later in life.
Shino, standing nearby Sai, waiting for him to start a conversation:
Sai, knowing Shino is right there and waiting for him to start a conversation:
Shino: You’re just like me :)
Sometimes they’ll just talk about every niche topic under the sun, and sometimes they just accompany each other. Shino will be walking around and then see Sai following him, and then ask Sai if he wants to help him do whatever mundane thing he’s doing. And Sai will do the same for Shino.
Imagine like two baby ducks following each other around all day, that’s them.
I also think in Boruto, Shino asks Sai to teach art lessons often. Sometimes his students need a break, and other times he just wants Sai to teach for a bit, because he can see how much Sai enjoys sharing his craft.
Shino: And now a special guest for class…
Inojin and Sumire, internally: please don’t let it be dad please don’t let it be dad please
Shino: Sai!
Sai: Hello! :D
Inojin and Sumire:
(The class loves him but he is still a Dad. Very embarrassing at times, and his Dad jokes are either out of pocket or horribly cheesy)
so, YEAH, anon is very right, those two are best friends and I think they’re really close after the war! It took me sometime to make this so have a little doodle of these two trying to pick a carpet! 💖
#sai naruto#the shino and sai friendship that canon was too cowardly to give us#shino aburame#anon!!#my [insert synonym for art here]
