killjoys holiday headcanons (:

-upon learning what a snowman was, ghoul began recreating the concept but with sand. he'd pour water over sand and build mini snowmen with it. ghoul tried to teach kobra who was surprisingly into the creativity/artistry of it.

-every year dr death defying refuses to play any christmas music on the radio station...every year cherri sneaks some on when he's not looking.

-for at least a year or two party thought ornaments were really poorly executed earrings

-one time the girl was upset that it didn't snow in the desert, so she decided to pretend that the sand was snow and try to make snow angels in it...her fun only stopped when she was discovered by a very unamused party poison.

-for killjoys, the holiday season marks the end of another year, and it's a celebration of the fact that those still living have made it that far. it's a time to be thankful for your friends and family, everything you have and everything you've lost. most joys would say its the time they feel most united with others.. with that being said, though, there's never truly any time to rest in the zones....

-In the city, holidays and anything similar are practically obsolete unless it relates to their fucked up sense of patriotism. if you're an enemy or a threat to them in any way, they never give you a chance to catch your breath,. they're everywhere. all the time.

-jet finds the holidays difficult. of course he loves celebrating with the people he loves, and he's more than grateful to have them, but there'll always be that cynical part of him. the part that hurts for everyone that can't be there...what is there to celebrate when you've only ever lost more than you've gained? when the world is falling apart quicker than you can piece it back together and everything feels helpless? the others get this feeling sometimes too, but they've found ways to cope and help each other over the years. jet doesn't know what he'd do without them.

-party and cherri separately loved to write notes to all their loved ones during the holidays, recounting favorite memories and giving sappy statements that were harder to say aloud. upon realizing they both did this, it became a joint activity. cherri always cherished the late nights spent writing stupid letters with party, and after the fab4's deaths, he kept the tradition alive, writing small poems or notes for all of them and leaving them in the mailbox.

On the Beatles' different reactions to their growing worldwide fame in early 1964:

Already, their fame had transcended their craft; they became the single most popular entertainment story in the world and learned to live their lives in a goldfish bowl. The first concentrated dose of fame in London was a little hard to take. It wasn’t the limousines or the glamorous nights spent table-hopping at the Ad Lib with Mick and Chrissie Shrimpton and Verushka that were hard to get used to, but the omnipresent photographers, the reporters, and sycophants who hung on their every word, who analyzed their every nuance and gesture in the next day’s editions. While the Beatles were a little put out at being spied on constantly, they read all the newspaper accounts of their activities voraciously—Paul in particular didn’t miss a thing—and further took on the characteristics the reporters assigned to them. They became caricatures of themselves, partly because it was the only way to hide whatever privacy was left, and partly because it was expected of them.

John wore his new mantle of fame most uneasily. While Paul and George could bask in the adulation, and Ringo seemed only happily bewildered, John felt slightly betrayed by it all. Here he was, the rebel, the iconoclast, who had become a plaster icon himself. John was being singled out as the great intellect, because of his wit and easy verbal facility in press conferences and interviews. Suddenly, all the wise-ass, mean-tempered humor he had exhibited as a youth that had gotten him into so much trouble was being interpreted as wit. It became, in a way, more difficult to insult people who didn’t know him, because he sounded so pithy and bright.

Here I am with another Beatles inspired Sims post! These ones took me a while to create especially the Sgt. Pepper suits, but I am very happy with the results.

To create the outfits I used cc I found online that I later edited myself to my liking.
