Regarding Leon/Isaac, i dont have a manifesto but rather why i think it'd be fun to see them interact:

it's mostly the similarity of their situations despite their completely opposite beliefs- two guys who lost everything they loved at the hands of someone they considered a friend. They had disaster divorces and are vindictive over it they can bond over that. And also the fact that (mostly going with PtR's Isaac), both have a certain code of honor, and both have gone to war in the name of a higher being, as twisted as both of these things are on Isaac. (This also ties w my funny "Mathias creating friction between Leon n the church hc"). And, assuming they do end up having something instead of instantly killing eachother, Leon (knowing he has issues but dealing w them on his own bc oops friendship failed me) sees part of his own pain on this guy and is like "i can fix him" in a "im gonna give him the support i wish i had" way. Meanwhile Isaac doesn't wants any help nor affection at all and just wants to wallow in his misery but he still ends up feeling attachment. Something something his older brother mentality and just, picking on Leon while also being overprotective of him (he'd also piss him off just enough to get the pretty noble knight to fuck him raw lmao). It end up being a pretty unstable and toxic relationship, with both having incompatible values but also needing eachother bc they got nothing left.

And Celiakado. Ooooh boi Celiakado. This one comes with the context of interpreting Arikado's general shittyness in the sorrow games as legit part of his character instead of just him being ooc. His whole mission all this time was to oppose his father and now he's no more. He's someone who has been chewed up and spit out by the cycle so badly that he ends up trying to control it in return. And this is where Celia comes in. Her goals match with Arikado regarding the need of a new dark lord (except the killing/turning Soma part) and it's implied she knows him or has heard abt him in the beginning of DoS, spends a lot of time offscreen like him during the game, and manages to escape in the neutral ending despite Arikado's stated goal of stopping her. So, why can't they be cooperating behind the curtains, caught in manipulation games between this messed up gal who considers Arikado an extra powerful candidate in denial that she can manipulate, and this fucked up guy who considers Celia a useful tool for his goals, someone extremely amusing to fall into manipulation games with (overconfident girl who is completely out of her level and yet thinks she's winning, we stan), and a bloodbank to snack on, with the potential of funny feelings to sprout between the two which wont matter bc they're in for the grind and have no emotional inteligence. Then something happens w Celia making a move on Soma anyways and pretty much ruining Arikado's previous plans, Soma, Yoko n Julius get involved and welp. Neutral ending gives them the chance to continue being assholes, Worst ending has her mauled by Somacula and Best ending has her crucified (Like a certain someone important to Arikado ya kno ), both in front of him :) (and shoutout to @viralvava for being the smartest person alive ;D)

I'm Cry! Or Tomoa, Moa, Crioh, or whatever other nickname you can conjure up for me lmao

Some of the things I'm interested in is Voltron: Legendary Defender, Diary of a Wimpy Kid (specifically the Dysfunctional Perspective on TikTok), DC (mostly batfamily stuff, but I like the rest of it too), and Criminal Minds. I'll update this when I remember because these are just off the top of my head.

I play video games often, mostly Overwatch 2, Fortnite, Monster Prom, Roblox, and occasionally Minecraft. I play more, but there's too many to list! (Junkrat/Mercy main here LMAO!)

My favorite color is orange, I'm not sure what shade, though. Purple is definitely a close second, tied with yellow. My favorite TV show is Criminal Minds!! Season 7 Episode 19, Heathridge Manor is my favorite episode (mainly because my favorite actor, Kyle Gallner, is the unsub)

I first started writing (like, creative writing in my free time for fun) when I was around the 4th grade. Or about 9 years old. My first ever story, from what I can remember, was this one piece of fanfiction that I refuse to name. (Seriously, you couldn't pry it from my cold, dead hands.) From then, my writing kinda just followed me I guess? It was never something that I really like, shared with other people. I've mostly written just fanfiction, but I also have some original works that I love to think about. I think my longest character has been with me since 2020? Maybe 2021. I'll introduce yall to him later!!

The story that this blog is about (it still has no name, that's why I'm calling it Tomoa for now LMAO) has been floating around my head since around Janurary/February of 2022. So it's been with me for a little while now. It's definitely change a LOT since then. Like my main character used to be named Lukas, and now his name is Aaron lmao. He also used to be Russian for some reason?

The story was also supposed to be a lot more angsty and sad, but now it's supposed to be more fun and romantic (I developed a boyfriend for Aaron, and it's so adorable)

At the time of writing this, I have 11 characters and a cat. I'm gonna make an introduction post for each of them as time goes on, but for now I'm gonna stick with just my own intro+tomoa intro.

Here's me trying to explain my storyline (poorly done lmfao)

Aaron gets kicked out by his dad (mom not in picture), and gets recruited by villains. He goes on to be a villain but is laying low. So, in his mid twenties (where the 1st book takes place), he's like an average villain. Nothing sticks out, just a (somewhat) regular villain. Little does he know, his arch-nemesis just so happens to be his high school friends-with-benefits who he may or may not still be talking to. (He definitely is. And it's not talking, it's "talking.")

{Extra - aka ramble time}

Some of my goals for my story is to try to allow for a little bit of each kind of representation. Does that make sense? I hope so. But like, for example, I have 2 aroace characters in my universe so far (I PROMISE ITS JUST BECAUSE IM TALKING ABOUT THE MAIN GROUP), and I'm trying to make most of my characters from different origins too. My main character is Mexican/German/American, so I've still gotta do a bunch of research for him. I want for people to feel seen and represented when they finish reading my book, but the main purpose (and the original one) is to entertain. So not only do I want them to feel seen and represented, but I also want them to be like "Hey, that was a damn good book." (And then write fanficiton and make fanart and make AUs and social media accounts about my story <33)

Who doesn't love a goofball? In the first half of the movie, Chase is basically perfect. He's sweet, funny, not all caught up in his ego, and actually pays attention to what the girls around him are saying, not just to what he wants to hear. If not for the whole... it was all an act to get close to Caleb and try to steal his magic thing, Chase would actually be a damn good high school boyfriend. He's adorable and would be a fun date, but he's also only 18 so best not to start making long-term plans lol. Also, y'know... the whole psycho revenge/power grab thing.

9 Jack Benjamin

Y'all. Y'all. Words cannot describe how much I love Jack. Pretty sure I've made this clear. As a person/character in general, he's absolutely in my Top 3 - not just of Sebastian's characters, but any character ever. ❤ But as a boyfriend? Boy's got baggage. It's what makes me so protective of him, but seeing as how he's trapped in the closet thanks to his overbearing homophobic family and the insane expectations heaped on him, as the show left him, he can't handle an honest relationship. He's too easily influenced by all the wrong people, poor babe.

8 Chris (Destroyer)

On paper, undercover cop sounds cool and exciting, but even if you ignore the fact that he, y'know, dies... Chris got in too deep and kinda lost the mission, so to speak. Best case scenario, you're his sexy partner and in on it all with him and end up on the lam for the rest of your lives. Worst case, this man lies for a living, so can you even trust him? And... yeah. The whole dead thing. Chris is hot af but getting involved with him is a recipe for disaster.

7 Ben

Min and Hathor have mercy, I love Ben! He's smart, he's snarky, he's caring and loyal... he's an absolute disaster. He's another one who seems allergic to honesty, until his lying and avoiding nearly kill his girlfriend. Not exactly relationship goals lol. Everything before totally was, though! Ben's adorable, and I love how he stayed up all night to protect his girlfriend (from a ghost/demon thing... with a baseball bat. I said he was smart, not perfect, okay? XD points for effort lol)

6 Mickey Henry

I. LOVE. MICKEY. Oml I love Mickey. He's a spazz and - even more so than Ben - an absolute disaster of a human being, but I love him. Pros for dating Mickey Henry: he's fun, he's carefree, he'll cook for you even though he's kinda bad at it lol, he loves his son and wants to be a good dad, he wants his partner to be happy and to love life as much as he does. Cons, and the reason he's not higher on the list: He's a pushover; easily influenced by the toxic people in his life, and it gets him into a lot of trouble. Being easily influenced by toxic dumpster fire of a human being Chloe almost lost him the partial custody of his son that he barely even had. He's an absolute sweetheart, but he's a complete man-child, and dating him would often feel more like raising him.

5 Frank "Suffer Buddy"

Come on! You know he and Mickey had to be back-to-back - they're practically the same character! 😂 Frank is Mickey... slightly more grown up. He's still a disaster, but he's respectful of boundaries, he's caring, he's funny in a dry, witty way that I just adore, and hoo lordy that man is a giver! 🥴🥵 Honestly, if he didn't smoke and didn't ditch Daphne in the middle of a party hours away from everything familiar to her surrounded by strangers to go do drugs, I'd call Frank perfect. He listened, he respected her wishes, he tried to keep some distance between them when he found out she'd gone on a date with his best friend (it failed utterly and brought us to the "damn that man's good with his mouth" portion of the movie lmao but still)... I don't have a whole lot of experience with men who actually give a shit, okay? So Frank is like a goddamn unicorn to me lmao. But that drug thing... That keeps him at the bottom of the Top 5 for me. Sorry, bb

4 Bucky

I can already hear everyone on here raging at me for placing Bucky so low on this list, but hear me out: I love this man. I love all four iterations of this man. Flirty 40s Bucky was a doll (fun date, not commitment material). Post-POW camp 40s Bucky had a fire to him that set me on fire. The Winter Soldier can choke me any damn day. Unf. And TFATWS Bucky... Oh, lady above, 2023 Bucky is a gem! He's sweet, snarky, and broken. He feels utterly, wretchedly alone in the world, and everyone around him, including his only friend, is telling him to "man up" and "make amends" for shit that was never his fault to begin with, rather than helping him come to terms with all that he's suffered and all that he's survived. Bucky needs and deserves love. A relationship with him would be so solid, if he found the right person... But it would take a fuck ton of work. He needs someone strong, patient, and more stubborn than he is to prod him until he finds a better therapist and actually opens up, and to keep him on track because even good therapy comes with homework. He does have to "do the work," Sam was right about that much, but he was way off base with what that "work" is. Bucky needs help and understanding, and he would be an amazing boyfriend... if he found someone with the strength to help him weather his nightmares and flashbacks, and help pull him out of this PTSD pit he's been in since 1943.

3 Chris Beck

Big brains turn me on, okay? 😂This man is an astronaut and a surgeon! Yes, please! Come here, you sexy genius! He's smart, he's funny - pretty sure Sebastian is incapable of playing anyone who's not delightfully snarky lol. He's pragmatic when he needs to be but there's also nothing he wouldn't do or risk for the ones he loves. This man is husband material and I cannot be convinced otherwise! So why isn't he #1? Cuz of the whole... spending years in space, thing. Super cool job and I'd be his biggest fan on the ground, but god damn, I would miss him while he's away!

2 TJ Hammond

Look, I'm gender fluid and he's a little bit bi 😂😂😂 Let me have my fantasy, okay? TJ's definitely got a lot of shit to work through, but love brings out the best in him. Before that fucking closeted shitbag broke his heart and stomped on it for good measure, TJ was clean and sober for months, he was happy, he was playing piano again, he was pulling himself together. Not only would he be an amazing boyfriend, but his partner would get the extra joy of getting to watch their love and devotion to him be the thing that saves this beautiful man's life. It's not healthy overall to tie your self worth and will to live to a relationship, but if he found the right person who would be there for him through all of life's shit and stick it out, I think he'd be okay. Even after his lowest point and without the support of his family, TJ still had a dream and he still chased it. I don't know if someone ever asked you this, but what's your process for making the recaps, especially in days where multiple people stream?

It’s a little complicated, and it’s gotten more complicated over time as the format’s gotten more complex (adding the VOD links at the top was by an anon request, for example), but it honestly mostly depends on the day

Usually on days where multiple people stream, there will only be one Lore™️ stream if any (though obviously on other days there’s...a Whole Lot More), so that’s the one I focus on noting down in detail. The other ones I’m more relaxed on and if something important happens that I miss, usually I get some helpful anons who let me know! You guys are my saviors lol, where would I be without you

Chill streams, if I have the time to include them, I usually just skim through the VOD pretty quickly and see like, what’s the gist of what happened. I’m not about to do lore-level detail for Tubbo and Ranboo’s late-night chaos conversations, y’know? Whiiiiiich is how I missed the fact that they got married when it first happened LMAO

I’m lucky enough to have a schedule and time zone that works well for doing this, so while it’s hard work, the only time when it gets genuinely difficult are 1. When I actually DO have a ton of other work to get done for classes and stuff, or 2. When it’s a day where a shit ton happens in the plot

(I should mention that in the coming weeks school work will be getting tough for me, so I’m not sure how much I’ll be able to keep up with. I’m honestly a bit surprised I’ve managed so far, but if it gets to be too much, I’ll reblog and point you all to a different recap account if I can’t do my own :)

I think the most difficult one there’s been is still Doomsday, since there were SO many perspectives and each one had something different going on, it was a hell of a time trying to keep track of everything and put the bullet points in chronological order to the best of my ability. Tommy’s death day was another difficult one since so many people did other lore in reaction to it

In general, the process usually goes:

- Jot down bullet points for the plot stuff, take some screenshots for fun

- Skim other VODs to get the gist of them if I have time

- Look back over it and put in bold the important points, format any quotes

- Add the Upcoming Events and End of Week Recap to the end if there is one

- (At the end of the week it takes some extra time to go through the past six recaps and summarize)

- Collect all the VOD links and link them at the top

- Come up with the synopsis for the start 

It’s a passion project, so while it’s a lot of work, I ultimately don’t mind it. 

Dream SMP’s kind of a fandom that...gatekeeps itself? In a way? since it’s complicated and difficult to keep up with what’s going on at times, and it’s so easy for the fandom’s collective memory to falter on older plot points if they’re not recorded somewhere.

And you probably saw from my posts yesterday that archiving that story history and trying to preserve it is something I’m pretty passionate about, especially as a long-time viewer. I don’t want half the story to only be available from the memories in people’s heads, y’know?

I like to emphasize to people that there’s no need to keep up with every single POV. In fact, it’s pretty much impossible to. A lot of the charm in the fandom’s character analyses and debates comes from the fact that we’re all kind of in the position of the characters themselves? In that, a lot of the fandom sticks to one or two key POVs to follow and might not know what’s going on in the other ones.

So if I can make it easier for people to keep track of the overall plot and not miss out on big details while still being able to stick to that key POV and consume the story in a way that’s comfortable for them? That’s my goal! 

And if seeing something in a recap that makes you go “huh, that’s interesting, I might check out that other POV later” gets people to branch out and try new things too? That’s also amazing!

Birthday Special Headcanons

Birthday headcanons for @velvetheichou as it’s her birthday today!! So some of these may seem a little specific, but I did write it as an x reader for everyone else to enjoy!

Summary: it’s your birthday, your BF is Miche and you live with Levi and Erwin.

Genre: mostly fluff, mentions of smut

A/N: this is only a short little thing for my IRL friend, I wrote this whilst getting ready for work so is it rushed? Yes I’m sorry, was this fun? Absolutely. Happy Birthday Amie 🌸🌙👑

Setting the scene: you live with Miche (your BF), Levi and Erwin (who are a couple) in a shared house. It’s your birthday and you have some surprises ahead of you...

- let’s start off with the main G, your doting BF waking you up with breakfast in bed. He would lay out a large spread filled with all your favourite things.

- Let’s face it, birthday sex would be a thing, but not till later because Levi and Erwin are waiting downstairs for you.

- Doesn’t stop Miche from being a little filthy with you (if you wanted it 👀)

- if the two of you did do the nasty, he would most certainly eat you out, 100% like it’s basically canon than he is great at head; you can’t convince me otherwise.

- Okay but like Miche would want to give you your birthday presents privately, guarantee he has bought you a dress or clothes that you’ve been wanting (and unable to afford). Miche would usually treat you to clothes any time of the year, but he’d make sure to get something extra special for your birthday.

- Miche has also bought you some pamper stuff (particularly Lush because Nanaba works there and gets discounts; means more products amirite)

- So after you shower and do your makeup, you put on your birthday gift (let’s say a dress), you go downstairs and Miche, Levi and Erwin are waiting for you, ready with party poppers. Levi and Erwin pop theirs, but Miche is way too in awe that he misses his queue

- Also can we appreciate the image of Levi popping a party popper, like he isn’t enthusiastic (he feels it, but he doesn’t show it)

- Levi would get you something that is specific to you, if you have a certain interest (or hyperfixation if we’re being honest) he would get you merch. Autographed picture from Lady Gaga? Band t-shirt? He’s got you that.

- Erwin, probably needed help the most from Levi and Miche to know what to get you. He would originally buy you something generic like a book, or a box set from a TV show you’ve never seen. So after talking the others, Erwin would go out his way to buy concert tickets. Let’s say,,,Download? Miche would get his own ticket ofc

- So basicaly the boys arrange a birthday party for you, during the day you get up to whatever you want; shopping trip? Miche will treat you to whatever you want. Trip to the cinema? You pick the movie, and as much as you insist on paying for your own ticket and/or food Miche will pay. This mans goal is to give you the best day.

- In the late afternoon, you go to your favourite restaurant, ordering whatever you like. Depending on how expensive the day is, you will probably pay towards the bill (mainly out of guilt, you wouldn’t want to make Miche broke)

- It’s romantic, candlelit and seated by the window; you watch the sunset as you eat the best damn thing in your life.

- At the party; so all of your friends are invited, even friends of Erwin and Levi; let’s just say it’s crowded to say the least.

- The playlist fucking slaps, not only is a mixture of your playlist and everyone’s requests, you have the special addition of anime music to which Erwin is like huh?? And Levi is like 🙄 but it’s your party and you can totally play Judgement from the DMCB soundtrack if you want to

- Miche brings out a cake with candles (as many candles as your age) for you to blow out, all of the party guests sing to you and cheer as you blow out the candles.

- Hange probably already started drinking, so you can hear them louder than anyone else.

- The cake is delicious of course, but the fact that there are so many paper plates around, it puts Levi on edge and he will most definitely be doing the tidying up.

- Alcohol, lots of it

- Of course as soon as a bit of Alcohol reaches Miche’s lips he is outside smoking a cig

- Nile is out there with him, but he’s a bit of a chain smoker anyway

- The look on Levi’s face when Erwin tries a cig, he definitely struggles and coughs every time

- “No, Erwin you cannot request Piano Man by Billy Joel”

- “No, Erwin, Country Roads it off limits too - at least until we get more pissed then MAYBE”

- Levi doesn’t get drunk, he is the baby sitter after all, but will probs have a glass of wine to last him the night

- Erwin doesn’t get too drunk either, but he is definitely the one with the champagne

- Miche gets tipsy but not,,,terrible lmao

- Hange however, whew goes fucking feral. If they aren’t dancing and doing slut drops, they are hornee and will attempt to drunkenly seduce Moblit who is FAR TOO DRUNK for any of that.

- There will definitely be some party games like the ring of fire, drunk charades and an ATTEMPT at musical chairs, but at this point, most guests are too far gone for that; again, putting Levi on edge and making sure no one hurts themselves.

- The night ends with Hange and Moblit staying in the guest bedroom because they drank the most, Levi and Erwin going to bed mostly sober so Levi can perform his nightly routine; I can totally see him having a whole pamper sesh before he gets into bed.

- You go to bed, the room slightly spinning and you can feel your whole body in waves; this hangover is going to be too much. Luckily superhero Miche is there with the water and some toast/bread. “Eat this before you sleep, you’ll be grateful in the morning”

- The last few moments of consciousness is spent cuddling into Miche’s chest. “Happy Birthday my sweet”

You love your body as it is, from the smallest imperfection on your face to your curves and extra skin. And needless to say you are proud to show it. But sometimes other people’s look can be harsh on you, full of judgements as they don’t even know you but any opportunity is an open door to criticism.

So you got use to it like you didn’t care, and even made fun of it. More like made fun of yourself, actually.

“Man, her legs put together are the size of one thigh of mine!” you chuckle as you eat in the cafeteria next to MJ, Peter and Ned. All the table look at who you are talking about.

MJ playfully elbows you in the waist as she drinks her glass of water. “Shush (Y/N), everyone compares Bethany as a walking chopstick anyway.”

“I knoooow” you reply with a playful tone, munching on your pasta.

“You also look like chopsticks MJ, like from head to toes. Damn girl, you could just fly away with the wind!” you giggle while trying to steal in MJ’s plate. “And I will just stick to the ground like a pole!”

Even if you are laughing at yourself, you are actually the only one. You don’t catch MJ rolling her eyes with an exasperated sigh, Ned being kind of confused and Peter... well, clearly being annoyed.

“Alriiiiiight you little brat, stop talking crap ‘cause you still have to explain the last lesson to me before next class starts” grumbles MJ as she stands, her now empty tray in hand before taking it away.

“Yup girl, coming!” you announce, wiping your mouth with a paper napkin.

Peter follows each of your moves. All done eating you too stand, put your bag on your back and take your tray ready to follow MJ, who is already waiting for you near the exit of the cafeteria.

“Alright guys, see you in chemistry!” you happily sing while showing your biggest smile to the boys before leaving the table to join MJ.

The constant chattering of the students in the background hides the silent at the table. Ned finishes his yogurt before talking to Peter, but he stops himself when he notices his friend’s face. Tensed. Annoyed. And sad maybe? Ned has actually an idea of what is bothering his friend so much but knowing Peter’s personality, it would be a waste of time. Better to skirt the issue.

“(Y/N) is acting a bit weird recently, don’t you think?”

Peter only hums, more focus on mixing what is left of his yogurt than anything else right now. Head low and furrowed eyebrows, he keeps staring at actually nothing, just being lost in his thought and thinking. 

Thinking a lot, yes. About you. About how much you put yourself down way too much recently.

He can’t laugh at your cheeky comments anymore. He just can’t.

Chemistry is your last class of the day, thanks the lords. You are finally reunited with all your three best friends so, hopefully the hours will pass by faster.

MJ writes (more like scribbles) lazily the answers for the report your duo has to give back at the end of the lesson, while you are the one having fun mixing whatever there is in the test tubes. Then you take an empty one and look through it.

“MJ, look” you whisper to your friend, trying to catch her attention. At first she doesn’t even care to turn her head towards you, until you insist by calling-whispering her name until she finally deigns to glance at you. Not really understanding what you want to show her, MJ brings her lab stool closer to you and frowns as she looks through your test tube. You brings the tube closer to both your faces.

“Look, Lara’s ass is as big as mine now” you kind of try to whisper, as well as not laughing out loud to not get reprimanded by the teacher.

In fact the glass tube deforms everything you look at when watching through it. And in that case, it is changing the shapes of your comrade’s bottom. MJ seems unimpressed and with her well-known bitch resting face, the girl simply goes back to her writings but not without sending you “are you serious?” glances.

Little did you know Peter could hear all your conversation, even three desks behind. The displeased look on his face is immediately showing and he almost breaks the pen he is using to write on the due paper. The slight crack of the plastic draws Ned’s attention.

“Dude, that’s my favourite pen!”

“Sorry, mate” grumbles Peter, putting the pen down and he sighs, leaning his elbows on the lab desk. He exhales loudly while ruffling at his hair. 

“You should talk to (Y/N), don’t you think so?” declares Ned as he takes two test tubes in his hands to deal with their contents. “You know, just to tell her how you feel and stuff like that.”

“I don’t know, man” retorts Peter with a low voice, his head now hidden in his arms. “I just- I can’t just say “hey (Y/N), stop running yourself down all the time because you are gorgeous in every way and I had a crush on you since high school and-”

“Peter stop, you’re mumbling like a freak” exclaims Ned, hoping to end his friend’s suffering. “Seriously, I noticed the face you do when she jokes about herself. I mean, maybe she’s not feeling great so you talking to her might sort things out somehow?”

Peter processes Ned’s words as his eyes follows you when you go ask something to the teacher. There is something about the kindness that emanates from your pretty eyes, the pink outline of your lips, the unique way your hair curves perfectly around your round face, but mostly your hourglass figure. Sometimes the boy finds hard to keep his eyes up. But you look so beautiful to him. That is mainly the reason why Peter can’t accept hearing you badmouthing about your appearance anymore.

The ringing bell announces the end of today’s lessons. Students are now filling every corridors, some going to their locker and other already leaving the building.

“I need to take some books in my locker, you coming with me MJ?” you ask your friend.

“Sorry, my mum’s picking me up ‘cause we’re going to my grandma this evening so I have to hurry” explains MJ, not too excited about the thought of it.

“I need to go to my locker too” Peter jumps into the conversation. He directly stares at you, a determined look on his face.

“Oh, uhm- alright then!” you cheer blushing a bit, still taken aback by Peter’s serious tone.

You wave goodbye at MJ and Ned as you start walking to your locker, Peter following close to you and receiving two discrete thumbs up from Ned. 

The main school corridor is now more empty, the steps of the last students resonating and almost fading little by little. You and Peter stop in front of your lockers, them being next to each other and just do your own things by taking and putting down what you need or not. Peter is more like fiddling with stuff, pretending to do something while his goal was obviously talking to you.

When he ears you zipper your backpack shut and close your locker, he violently - but not intentionally - slams his close a bit too harsh, making the loud metallic slap resonate in the empty corridor. You jump at that too and Peter just wants to facepalm himself at his own stupidity. 

“Err (Y/N), can- can we talk?” the boy mutters, now shy because of his sudden loose of confidence.

“Sure Pete, about what?”

Peter gulps as you stare at him, waiting for what he has to say. He is nervous now. How will you react? Good or bad? Will you ignore him after that talk because he offended you or misunderstood the situation? Will you-

“Peter? You’re alright?”

Your soft and worried voice suddenly takes him out of his mixed up thoughts.

“You’re gorgeous (Y/N).”

That is indeed straight to the point. Totally. First you blink a few times, not sure if you heard it right but seeing Peter’s serious face says it all. Your whole face is now blushing at his sudden compliment.

“P-PETER WHY DO YOU-”

“(Y/N), you are the most beautiful girl I know. Like in every way possible. You’re kind, smart, funny, a bit nerdy, outgoing, sometimes eccentric too but it’s part of your personality. But you’re also gorgeous in the way you dress because it shows your beautiful shapes off. You have nothing to be ashamed of in comparison to any other girl. You’re unique and I love everything about you, starting with your cheeks because they’re so round and full, but also your waist because its highlights your defined hips and I could go on and on for hours. It’s everything a boring, shy, awful and introvert guy like me loves. So please, stop putting yourself down all the time. You don’t deserve it and never you will. I don’t like that and I just want you to know that I loved you since high school and that I-”

You cut Peter off in his mumbling by putting both your hands on his mouth. When he finally stops - also remembering to breath again -, he finally notices how much your face and ears are red. You avoid looking at him, still not fully processing all the compliments and obvious declaration of love. Your heartbeats could almost break through your ribcage and your mind is a mess.

Seeing you conflicting with yourself, Peter takes your hands off his mouth and gently keep them in his. His look tries to search for yours.

“(Y/N), I’m serious about what I said. You know I’m awful with words but... Trust me when I say I love everything about you, a lot, so please love yourself as much as I do.”

After calming down a bit, you dare to look at Peter again, his eyes soft and reassuring. You are still at a loose of words because nobody said any of the beautiful things Peter just did to you. Nobody. And it warms your heart knowing that someone loves you how you are. You love it even more because you know it is Peter.

Peter squeezes your hands and with a impulse out of nowhere, he lightly pecks the corner of your mouth. He then moves his face back, smiling warmly at you.

“When you’re with me, there is no judgement (Y/N).”

“J-Jeez, Peter...” you stutter, you face still red of shyness.

“I’m walking you back home, come on” Peter mans himself up, noticing the school is completely empty with not a sound around. Detaching his hands from you, he picks your backpack up to give it to you. You take it with wobbling  hands, muttering a shy “thanks” before putting it on your back. Now ready to go, Peter extends one hand for you to take and this time, you don't have to be told twice. 

Hand in hands, fingers intertwine, you both walk through the long corridor, only you two remaining here. Peter’s warm hand reassures you in a strange way. But you like it. 

And you can’t stop the content smile growing on your face as you sneak a look at the boy who just proved you are worth it. Inside out. From head to toes.

And boy do you love this feeling.

5. What was their childhood fear?

Being alone or left behind. It was definitely a threat when they were a kid like "if you aren't on the caravan before we leave at noon, we're leaving you behind". I don't think their parents would have actually left them behind when they were small but it was enough of a threat that they and their siblings listened for the most part. Its not so much a childhood fear as it is a regular adult fear now.

18. If they could live or visit anywhere, where would they go?

Tinsel really likes where they live but they do have dreams about living on a sunny coast with their partners when they all settle down. Idk if there's anywhere specific they want to visit? They just go where the adventure leads them. I think they would like to visit somewhere to meet up with their family, tho.

20. What did they dream of "growing up" to be?

Oh man, Tinsel wanted to be an A List celebrity actor. They wanted to be lead role in blockbusters. It was a big goal for them but they were sure they could do it.

27. Have they achieved any of their childhood dreams? Are they still trying? Have those dreams changed?

They've gotten some of their childhood dreams! They moved to Holly Bay and made tons of friends. They got to act in live theater. They were almost in a movie! They got some notoriety from adventuring and were on TV for it. They got to kiss their childhood crush. They didn't quite make it to the A List after getting blacklisted but they're def still trying.

In regards to how they changed: I don't think they changed too much but they did see how hard it was to achieve them. Plus, they started dreaming about having a family when they were with Bast so that's definitely something they want now.

31. Who are they when they aren't with the party?

When they're not with the party, Tinsel is way less open about themself. They're a master of either talking around a question or lying by omission and they use it when they don't feel comfortable sharing. Pre-adventure, they didn't really even tell their closest friends the entire truth about their backstory (which is honestly buckwild and hard to believe anyway) or their relationship with Bast or really anything about their love/sex life.

I think it's bc they don't think Kira and Zona will judge them.

39. If someone could tell them anything about the future they asked, would they want to know? Would they ask?

Nila likes to paint. She dipped her toe into art forgery for a little bit but decided it was more fun to steal the real thing and do her own work on the side. She has one of those cute little travel watercolors she uses to paint landscapes when she gets some time alone. Absolutely no one knows she has this hobby.

I dont think she'd change her class from rogue but she would def take some wizard skills.

11. What were their teenage years like?

He was a horrible teenage boy, mostly bc he wanted attention. He started off with red hair but occasionally made it redder when he got teased about it. He activated the Cain instinct in a lot of his siblings but I think Tinsel tried to kicked his ass the most purely due to how close their ages are. He shot them with an arrow by accident once and never lived it down.

His mom taught him archery at around 14-15 and he got very good at it to try and impress her. He left home around 18/19, picked up some odd jobs/repaired archery equipment professionally for a few years until Nila called him up like "hey bro miss you let's do this heist together".

6. Did they grow up with siblings? What were those relationships like?

Yes lmao my boy has 9 siblings. I sort of talked about this in the last question but yeah he liked to stir the pot for attention. Even though they tried to kick his ass, his siblings still love him. Him and Saoirse always got along really well and I'm p sure she stopped him from actually getting murdered as a kid lol. He really doesn't have a bad relationship with any of them, though, besides still owing Scone a bunch of money. Rome's a lot of fun and he's the kind of guy who will give or share anything with you. He is just A Lot.

7. How were their relationships with their parents/guardians growing up?

He def knew he wasn't the favorite child lol. I think once Knox realized why his kid was acting up, he made sure to spend some extra time with him every once and a while. And once he showed promise in archery, his relationship with Fulki got better too. I think he has an okay relationship with his parents right now but he definitely would never live with them again.

Their dad! They're very similar people and he looks up to him a lot.

19. How does the high noon sun make them feel?

Sleepy... It's too darn hot. He's 100% not interested in going out at high noon so he's either taking a nap or hanging out somewhere shady with Folsom.

Saoirse

20. What did they dream of "growing up" to be?

I don't know if Saoirse had one specific dream. What she did know is that she didn't want to get married and she didn't want to have kids. I think she went through a bunch of phases on what she wanted to be when she grew up until she landed on being a wizard. When that stuck, she just leaned hard into it.

25. What is their comfort item/habit?

She's definitely one of those "make a hot beverage when I'm stressed" kind of people. She's also a stress baker... Which used to be a "make potions and light stuff on fire" habit but she realized she gets muffins if she bakes instead.

She also has a bunch of stuffed animals in her room, purely because she's an adult wizard and no one can tell her not to have stuffies.

27. Have they achieved any of their childhood dreams? Are they still trying? Have those dreams changed?

Oh, she totally achieved the wizard thing and now she's a real Howl Pendragon figure. She got bored being by herself so she applied to get some apprentices, but due to a clerical error, she wound up with a couple of brothers (Max and Arseny) who were way too young to be apprentices. She's basically raising them as her kids (they call her mama and the Townes all consider them grandkids/nephews lol) but Saoirse insists they're still her apprentices in public.

Fionn

6. Did they grow up with siblings? What were those relationships like?

Fionn was the golden oldest brother! He and Saoirse were basically 3rd/4th parents so the rest of the siblings came to love/respect him. He was really good at keeping the peace. Dude would have made a fantastic diplomat. The siblings especially liked when he told them stories about life before their family left the Muirs or stories about knights/heroes. It was a rough day when he disappeared and the siblings that remember him really miss him.

7. How were their relationships with their parents/guardians growing up?

Very strained. Like, he was def the favorite child, but Fionn really had some childhood trauma from The Fall that they couldn't help him with bc they also had it. He sort of resents that he got put into the auxiliary parent role on top of it. I think ultimately they expected way too much out of him so it was only natural he'd disappear and be feral.

10. When did their childhood end?

I don't think it was a definite ending, more of a gradual thing around his early teens when he realized he had a lot of responsibilities.

Scone's best friend Latte (a Yuke who's good with magic) sent her a letter that suggested they'd make a good caravanning team. She was itching to leave the family caravan (she was tired of bailing her siblings out and knew that adventuring was good money) so she agreed!

Imagine a buff accountant and you have Scone lol.

Like Tinsel, Scone is the tank in combat. However, unlike Tinsel, Scone is weirdly responsible. She makes sure all the supplies are stocked and in order, makes sure everyone takes care of themselves and she keeps track of their earnings. She can be outgoing but she prefers to let her team do the social leg work.

Ben/Five OTP Meme?

Hey Bee! I know you've been requesting lots of OTP Meme asks and I know I made you wait a long time but I am answering them now! 

(I promise, I may be super slow but if any of you ever send an ask - whether it's just a question or a request for a fic - I will answer that at one point. I like doing these things!) 

But anyway, you wanted Ben/Five for the old ask meme, but I'm gonna do both because you waited for so long!

So...let's begin!

Which one sexts like a straight white boy? 

Five is a grandpa. Five is also a gremlin. 

Texting with Five is a bit like russian roulette, either you get proper punctuation and full sentences or you just get keysmashes and some random words. 

It mostly depends on the time of day and how much sleep Five got. 

Which is more now that Ben actually makes both of them have a somewhat normal sleep schedule. 

(Ben's trick is to just cuddle Five and fall asleep on them because as much as Five likes to complain, they never jump away, not wanting to wake Ben. Which mostly results in them falling asleep too). 

But sexting? Never. 

Ben could sext - Ben and Klaus definitely made fun of all the weird fuckboy messages Klaus got - and still gets - from hook ups or guys who somehow got his number - and if there's social media - who saw his profile and just decided they needed to 'tap that'. 

So Ben knows what sexting like a straight white boy would entail. But whereas he would totally do that within other pairings - for example with Allison or Vanya - I don't think it would be much use with Five. 

(Although Five is fucking easy. Always pretending to be so calm and collected but turning into a whiny little mess when Ben pushes their buttons. 

It's just nicer to be present during, to see just how affected Five gets, how riled up by some light touching and sweet talk). 

Not to derail this but Five would love pet names. Ben usually doesn't use them but depending on how needy Five is, it just seems to slip out, the 'Baby' already on his lips when he sees the way Five holds onto him, face pressed into his shoulder. 

Five is rather clingy, especially on days where they feel more on edge, maybe cause of a nightmare, maybe because they had a flashback about being stuck in the apocalypse again. All alone. Trying to get back to their family. 

(Maybe they thought about how when they got back, the one who was missing still was Ben, how all of their calculations didn’t actually help to get back to all of them-)

….But let’s at least try to stay light-hearted here, lmao. 

Which one cried during a fucking Disney Movie? 

Did you know? I check the stuff I've already written for this ask meme and check what I said about certain characters so I at least stick to my own 'canon'. 

And I remember that I was talking about Ben before (in the Luther/Ben/Vanya ask) and it was rather depressing all round. 

To answer the question: I would see neither of them as big criers but if anything, Five would cry during disney movies.  

Disney Movies can be incredibly heartbreaking (especially Disney Pixar) but I feel like both Ben and Five are not easy criers. 

Like I said before in the Luther/Ben/Vanya thing, Ben feels rather detached from his emotions after coming back to life. There's just…some kind of disconnect. 

He still feels - he can love after all - but sometimes he sees things and he knows 'I should probably react to this' but he just….doesn’t. 

Because he doesn't feel anything. Not in that moment anyway. 

Maybe he doesn't even see the sense in intentionally watching things to make yourself cry - something Luther and Klaus do - because Life is already pretty shitty, why be sad over a movie? 

(But maybe there's also some jealousy in that statement, an underlying: "How can it be so easy for you to show your emotions? How can feel so much all the time?") 

On the other hand, I can totally see Ben getting overwhelmed by being alive again, although I think he’d react mostly to physical stimuli? Like, when he was around Klaus he heard and saw stuff so he’s used to that, but touch?? That would definitely be too much for him sometimes. 

It would be windy outside and he’d refuse to go out because he couldn’t take the wind hitting his skin and blowing into his face. 

Or he’d get self-conscious about being seen by so many people and just need some time to himself, since he isn’t used to actually being perceived by people other than Klaus - and other ghosts. 

(Maybe he’d even miss his ghost friends, who knows). 

And because I love to ramble and overthink things, I believe that maybe being dead amplified most of the bad emotions he has?

I mean, why do ghosts turn into poltergeists?

I like to think that at some point they seem to forget who they are or at least forget all the good memories they have in life and just cling to the bad ones, which makes them turn bitter and vengeful. 

But that always depends on the story you’re telling and we don’t know much about the ghosts aside from them being pretty reasonable in the motel scene but mostly scary in the mausoleum scene (which could also simply be Klaus misremembering and mistaking their cries for help as them being evil and angry, since he was about 9). 

And Ben as a person (as little as we see of him actually having a character) seems to be rather bitter. So maybe he would have to pay extra close attention to his thoughts and feelings to not get stuck in a circle of negativity and self-doubt again. 

But anyway, crying because he gets overwhelmed when he’s out and there’s a bunch of people, brushing up to him while they walk past and looking at him and maybe even talking to him and he doesn’t know how to handle it so his body tries to relieve the stress by crying? Yes. 

Him getting emotional over that one scene in UP? Not very likely. 

Five on the other hand has seen lost of things. Lots of things that are probably rather gory and fear-inducing, since they worked as a killer and since Hazel and Cha-Cha don’t only murder but also torture people for the commission - something Five most likely had to do too in their job. 

I think they rationalized a lot of things? Like, they see the things they did as justified since they were working towards a greater good - getting back to their family and by association, saving the world, even though that wasn’t their main goal - and I can see them repressing some things in order to be able to keep functioning. 

(That’s gonna be a hell of a breakdown once they have some time to breathe and work through their issues).

And since Five has already experienced some rather gory stuff it seems a little weird that they would cry over things as simple as Mufasa dying? 

That’s an animated Lion who speaks, Five has seen real people die - has killed real people - please, as if that’s gonna bother them. 

But sometimes some things will strike a nerve. Especially if it’s about families. Especially if it’s about reuniting with your family. And being alone for a long time.

They would never admit it, but sometimes Ben can see them rubbing their eyes out of the corner of his eye. Ben doesn’t comment on it either - because he knows Five would probably be too proud to admit it - but he does let Five cuddle up to him. 

(Sometimes he cracks some bad jokes until Five snorts and lightly hits his chest). 

And just to add an afterthought of mine: Five doesn’t say anything, but none of them watch horror movies during movie night if Five is present. They all know that Five would say they aren’t bothered by it, but it’s just nicer when they can watch something without Five being tense and looking more at the floor than the tv when the bad guy gleefully chops off fingers and kills women and kids. 

The Hargreeves may never talk, but they do care, okay? 

No Horror movies - or movies that have bad guys that sound too much like the commission - for Five, no stuff involving close ups of needles and medical procedures for both Diego and Luther, and absolutely nothing involving romance for a while there, be it a nice romcom or something about emotional manipulation. 

(They tried watching a romcom once, but the tv exploded the moment the main guy was explaining his undying love for the girl and trying to get her to move in with him. Vanya never apologized for that, but Diego just declared that the movie had been shit anyway).

At this point they mostly stick to reality tv stuff and even there, they end up arguing more often than not. 

Remember me saying that I would try to keep this light-hearted? I’m sorry, lmao.

Who put a goddamned fork in the microwave?

BEN. 

All of us talking about how Ben has the only brain cell in the family like he wasn’t about to try and catch a bowling ball with his skinny frame and bare hands (has anyone ever thrown a bowling ball at you? I don’t think you can catch that without breaking your toe). 

Also his little ‘wee’! Him winking at Klaus like Klaus isn’t currently being tortured. 

Ben may possess a brain cell but most of the time he politely ignores it and just does whatever the hell he wants. 

(I mean, he’s already dead, why bother being cautious and taking a step back to think for a second? How is that any fun??)

Which may not be the best outlook on life once he’s alive again.

He will put a fork in the microwave. Then he will stay in front of the microwave and wait for something to happen - with some ice cream because who knows how long he’ll stay there? He needs snacks. 

And he’ll loudly complain to Five when nothing happens (because depending on the metal, it’s possible that nothing happens) and Five - like the good partner they are - will add some wax paper to the whole thing so the whole microwave goes up in flames. 

Because who said Five can’t use their knowledge for some fun? 

And the two of them will just watch until someone else will enter the kitchen (probably Diego) and lose their shit. 

Diego: “The fuck are you doing!”

Five: “I know, I already told Ben that too much ice cream can cause brain freeze.”

Diego, frantically looking for a way to save the kitchen from burning down: “THAT’S WHAT YOU’RE WORRIED ABOUT”

(Diego totally rats them out and Ben and Five steal his dessert for at least a week). 

In general the Ben/Five dynamic is: 

Ben: “I’ll do this reckless thing because I have no self-preservation.”

Five: “I’ll help because I like wrecking havoc. But as soon as there’s even the slightest scratch on you, I’ll passive-aggressively dote on you.”

Who does the silly hands-over-the-eyes “Guess who” thing?

I love how I’m all lovey-dovey with other couples but these two just behave like disaster children half the time. 

None of them do this. 

Ben will approach Five and just slump down on top of them because Five is great for naps and cuddles. 

Five will stand somewhere, arguing with Luther over some science (and pretending they know more astrophysic than an actual astronaut because they simply are like that) and Ben will just press up against them and steal Five’s coffee. 

(Ben is the only one who’s allowed to do that without serious repercussions. Him and maybe Vanya). 

Five will see Ben sitting somewhere, reading a book and just plop down in his lap like a cat. 

Ben: “Wha-”

Five: “I live here now.”

Tbh, you rarely see them not together? 

The two of them are the only members of the family where it would be rather...odd if they were to work somewhere or start a career - depending on whether the outside world sees them as dead/missing still or whether they somehow changed that through time travel - so they spend a lot of time at home. 

Five could probably do some online courses if it’s a reality with internet and Ben doesn’t plan on doing any kind of work for the next fucking decade. They got enough cash from the academy merchandise, he’s planning on living the rest of his life blowing that money.

(Jokes aside, Five probably includes Ben in calculations of moving away or paying rent or whatever and is rather positive that they’ll be able to support them both - in case they a. Don’t wanna touch Reggie’s blood money - something Diego does, since he refuses to be dependent on the old man - or b. There isn’t much money to begin with, or it’s mostly used for keeping the academy or something). 

So the two of them can just happily cling to each other for the rest of their lives and Ben can nap in Five’s lap while Five is pulling another all-nighter working on this or that (Ben refused to go to bed without them and tried to stay awake with them, but Five knows Ben falls asleep within seconds if you card your hands through his hair). 

Who puts their cold hands/feets on their partner?

Both. It's war. 

Ben is cold overall - which maybe, just maybe could come from the fact that he’s been dead before - and Five always has cold hands for whatever reason. 

It starts because Five hugged Ben from behind and sneaked their hand under his sweater and Ben proceeded to fucking jump and wiggle out of Five’s grip. 

Which was definitely an interesting enough reaction, Five had to do it a few more times.

Ben loves wearing his hoodies, but they’re slightly too big which means Five can easily put their hand down Ben’s back and Ben hates it. 

(He never tells Five to stop though, so Five thinks it’s still fair game). 

In return, Ben will definitely push his cold feet against Five’s side when they’re in bed and hold them close enough Five can’t wiggle away. 

Five always glares at him but endures it. 

Most of the time, Ben holds Five’s hands between his own while he’s pressed up to Five, as kind of an apology, to warm them up. 

(Five keeps glaring but kisses his cheek, so Ben doesn’t think they’re really mad). 

Who had that embarrassing Reality TV marathon?

Both. 

Ben probably watched some ridiculous dating show and Five sat down next to him with the sole purpose of making fun of him but instead ended up being invested themself. 

Couple on tv: *breaks up* 

Five, on the edge of their seat: “No! They’re meant for each other! Paul just has to work more on his self-esteem! Back me up here, Ben!”

Ben, who mostly watches precisely to see the couples break up: “Jennifer deserves better.”

Cue, a half an hour long rant from Five’s side about how Ben has no idea what true love is while Ben tries his hardest not to laugh. 

Ben, after Five has been talking non-stop for twenty minutes: “You done?”

Five, reaching for the popcorn on Ben’s lap: “Pretty much, yeah.”

(The two of them also watch soap operas but most of the time, Luther watches with them. Diego too, but he always claims he only watches to make fun of them, even though he keeps on hushing them when they talk during emotional scenes). 

Who laughs more during sex? 

Neither (I don’t know where my dislike for laughing during sex comes from but I rarely ever say that there’s laughter when this question is asked). 

I think it also depends a little on the mindset? Ben is in control - no question there, Ben’s the one in charge because Five needs someone safe they can be needy and vulnerable with. 

But sometimes Five wants to play a little - says ‘Why should I?’ when Ben tells them to kneel, smiles cheekily and shakes their head when Ben tells them to behave. 

On those days, there’s more tension. Even though both of them know that Five is only pushing boundaries a little, that they still wanna be needy and good for Ben, the air is a little more charged and Ben is firmer, more demanding when he tells Five to ‘Get your ass over here, now’. 

(Five? Intentionally being a brat? Never). 

But there’s also days when Five doesn’t wanna challenge Ben. Just wants to be soft and good and taken care of. 

And if there’s any laughter involved, it’s on those days, Five smiling and giggling when Ben kisses their face over and over and humming when Ben tells them how good they are being for him. 

(Also Five jumping away whenever Ben tries to pull them towards him? Laughing while Ben chases them down the hallway? Only to plop up right in front Ben and put their arms around his neck, kissing him straight on the mouth, still smiling? Good shit). 

Who is the little spoon?

They switch!

Although Five prefers to just burrow into Ben’s side like a cat, one arm around Ben’s stomach and their head pressed against his rips, while Ben rubs their back. 

Ben also likes to hold Five with the Bentacles!

He’s usually more hesitant about letting them out while he’s out - and therefore unable to control them - but Five has never once seemed afraid of them and keeps encouraging Ben to let them out more - in non-lethal situations especially. 

So Ben’s rather comfortable letting them wrap around Five while Five’s sprawled out on top of him. 

(And maybe the Bentacles are much more quiet and well-behaved if they’re allowed to cuddle with Five, but don’t tell them. Five would only be all smug about it).

Who accidentally pushes a door instead of pulling/vice versa?

Five. 

They are both major dumbasses and Five will definitely try to be smooth and jump in front of Ben to open the door for him and just...stand there for a second, pulling at a push door like an idiot while smirking at Ben. 

Ben usually laughs at him and pushes the door open himself. 

Ben doesn’t do the push/pull mistake because Ben doesn’t try opening the door at all. 

When he’s still tired or deep in thought, he forgets he isn’t dead anymore and just walks into the door. 

Five will laugh at Ben and then immediately jump away to avoid being either hit or grabbed by a Bentacle. 

Who doodles little hearts all over the desk with their initials inside them?

Five. 

Five is a doodler in general. They help them think. 

Amidst all the equations and notes they make, there’s just different stuff they scribbled down.

Stars or a flower here or there but mostly abstract things that came to be while they let their thoughts drift and their hand move. 

And even if there aren’t any hearts or love declarations, more often than not, Ben’s name is somewhere on the paper. Maybe in a corner, or on the side, sometimes even in the middle.

Oftentimes Five writes his name and then just keeps tracing it with a finger while they are thinking and it makes Ben smile when he sees it. 

Who starts the tickle fights?

Ben. 

Ben will start a tickle fight over anything. He wants to switch channels? Tickle Fight. He wants attention? Tickle Fight. He’s bored? Tickle Fight. 

It’s probably not his best idea, since he’s the more ticklish one of the two (He’s rather sensitive to touch). 

He knows a secret though: Five’s weak spot. 

(It’s their neck). 

Five doesn’t even stop squirming when Ben’s kissing their neck - being extra careful while doing so, of course. 

But the hard part is to get to Five’s neck since as soon as Ben is launching an attack, Five’s already jumping away. 

(And most of the time reappearing on Ben’s back, pushing him down and digging their fingers into Ben’s sides until he surrenders, letting himself fall into the pillows and letting Five stretch out on top of him). 

They end up watching whatever Five wanted to see 8 out of 10 times.

Luther: “Have you ever considered….maybe not starting a tickle fight you know you’ll lose?”

Ben: “You just don’t get it, Luther.”

Who starts the pillow fights?

Five.

Mostly because if Ben were to throw a pillow after Five, they’d either a. jump away or b. complain about it. 

Ben: *throws a pillow because Five’s ignoring him*

Five: “Oh, I see how it is. I mean nothing to you, do I? Glad to know that you think so little of me and our relationship.”

Whereas if Five throws a pillow it’s okay of course. 

Five: *throws a pillow*

Ben: “So you don’t love me after all? It’s all been a lie? I-”

Five: *throws another pillow while Ben is still talking*

Who falls asleep last, watching the other with a small, affectionate smile?

Five!

In my head, Ben is a very sleepy person, lmao. And it takes a while for the 3 espresso to leave Five’s system, so most of the time Ben’s already fast asleep when Five gets tired. 

(And already in Five’s lap too, because if Ben does a nap, his s/o has to do a nap too. That’s just how it is). 

And maybe Five will try their hardest to stay awake just so they can card their fingers through Ben’s hair and take a minute to simply be glad that they’re allowed to have this. 

Maybe they fall asleep listening to Ben breathe.

Who mistakes salt for sugar?

Neither. 

I mean, it can happen to the best of us but you know what the two of them would do instead?

 Switch salt and sugar and just wait for their siblings to fall for it. 

They encourage Luther to go and make some pancakes for the rest of the family and then just sit there and wait for the others to take their first bite. 

The only one who doesn’t fall for it is Allison. She’s been watching Five and Ben being suspicious and when they make no move to eat the pancake on their plate, she doesn’t either.

Vanya tries her best to keep smiling and tells Luther they’re tasty - meanwhile she sneakily takes a few sips of her water. 

Diego actually spits the pancake out and just goes “They’re shit”. 

Klaus probably eats them anyway.

(They don’t ever find out that the reason the pancakes were salty is because of Five and Ben but that’s mostly because they bribed Allison into not telling). 

Who lets the microwave play the loud beeping sound at 1am in the morning?

Five. 

Five is an asshole but also they know that Ben sleeps through most stuff so there’s nothing to worry about. 

(They still scold everyone else for doing that though because how dare they nearly wake Ben?)

Ben on the other hand avoids being too loud at night because Five’s up and ready to fight at the slightest noise (which is a pain when Ben gets up at night to pee because not only does Five sit upright in bed when Ben comes back - which is rather creepy -, but they also cling when Ben tries to move away).

(Five says it’s payback because when they wanna get up and the Bentacles are out, they simply put Five back into the position they want them in). 

Who comes up with cheesy pick up lines?

Ben!

Ben likes to lean down and over Five’s shoulder and just whisper some cheesy stuff into Five’s ear while Five tries their best ignoring them - because they’re doing some important work here, okay? 

But Five isn’t strong, not when it comes to Ben, so most of the time they will let Ben sneak his hands down Five’s chest and his head rest on Five’s shoulder while they sweet talk Five into taking a ‘quick’ break. 

(Which most of the time turns into abandoning their work altogether because Ben thinks it’s far more important to push Five onto the mattress and do some work on their body). 

When Five’s sitting at their desk the next day, with bruises on their wrists and hickeys peeking out under their collar they aren’t even surprised when Ben appears behind them again, with some new sweet talk and forever wandering hands. 

Who rearranges the bookshelf in alphabetical order?

Both. 

The problem is: They have different systems. Five arranges the books in alphabetical order, all about having an efficient system where you can find what you’re looking for within seconds. 

Ben’s system is called ‘Do it after feel’

Like, his faves are on one shelf, the ones that are good but where the author is a little shit are on another, there’s a spot with continuations of series who were good and another for those who were bad. 

Five: “Series belong together!”

Ben: “Only if you’re weak.”

Whenever one of them has time - and the other isn’t watching - they rearrange it so it fits their system. 

This has been going on for weeks and neither of them plan on stopping. 

Who licks the spoon when they’re baking brownies?

Both! 

They switch. Depending on what they’re baking, Five will lick the batter from the spoon while Ben scratches the leftover chocolate sauce out of the little bowl. 

They rarely ever do the baking though, they mostly wait around while Grace or Luther bake and grab the used bowls and cutlery like little kids. 

Who buys candles for dinners even though there’s no special occasion?

Both! 

They even light candles when they’re just eating with the family because why not? Ben usually buys scented candles and he definitely spends hours just sniffing different candles before picking one. 

(He likes cinnamon and christmas smells best so Five will buy them when they’re out and about anyway). 

Their room is full of candles too but they don’t light them because all of them have some special shapes like flowers or stars and Five feels bad lighting them because then 'they’ll die'.

So they’re just slowly stuffing their whole room - and their second room - with candles. 

(Ben is also an impulse buyer so they have shit like a gumball machine and those little mechanical carousels where the horses go up and down. 

Five mostly buys food and they can and will buy copious amounts of sweets they can munch while thinking about mathematical problems or when they’re feeling down. 

They have an extra drawer for Ben’s fave stuff). 

Who draws little tattoos on the other with a pen?

Five. 

It’s not really tattoos though, they just use Ben as an additional chalkboard and more often than not Ben’s arms are full of equations and doodles.

Never Five’s arms though and Five says it’s because they don’t wanna spend so much time in the bathroom, scrubbing the marker away, but Ben believes it’s really because they like having Ben around.

And drawing on him is a good way to involve him and make sure he can’t leave because “You’re carrying a note that I really need on your arm. Seems like you have to stay for a little longer. But don’t worry; I’m kind enough to let you cuddle with me.”

Who comes home with a new souvenir magnet every time they go on vacation?

Neither of them go on vacation but at one point Ben started buying fridge magnets of the places he would like to visit some day and since then it’s become some kind of habit that Five partakes in too. 

If they see a magnet of a place they think looks interesting they buy it and then they do some research on where it is (for example South Africa and France and the birthplaces of all the sibs).  

Five actually plans on jumping them to the various places one day but they never jumped as far away before so they have to do some training first - which may take some time. 

Especially because they plan on taking not only Ben, but all the siblings + Grace. 

Who convinces the other to fill out those couple surveys in the back of magazines?

Both!

Neither of them believe that those surveys have any kind of substance (especially Five likes to rant about statistics and how most answers are kept vague to apply to most couples) but they still fill them out.

And bicker over the answers. 

Ben: "How does your partner treat you?" 

Five: "A, obviously."

Ben: "You treat me like I'm a queen? I doubt it."

Five: "I do!"

Ben, smiling: "Sure."

According to most surveys, they’re not compatible - one even suggested that Ben is the type of boyfriend to cheat eventually. 

They joke about it. 

They know they work out, so why believe a magazine?

And that’s it! This took me the whole day so I hope it was worth it! (This is exactly 5k btw).

I can't believe that I am done with these final exams. When I decided to go back to school and finish my master degree I was dreading it so hard. Things seemed so complicated and time seemed so far away. Everyone told me I was crazy and that I won't be able to make it seeing that I work/ live in the desert and my uni is in the capital, the fastest way to go there takes 9 to 10 hours. My mother straight up thought it was a waste of time and money ( now that I already have a job ) lmao. And my colleagues kept making fun of money whenever I request a few days off to attend classes. Eventually, time passed. Time passed quick like crazy. The exams I was stressing about are behind me and so is 1/3 of the path. I am proud of myself for going back to studying and for holding on to my goal of getting my master degree. But I am mostly proud and grateful to the man I have by my side. I, now, see clearly the difference. There are " partners " who would bring you down, make you passive, waste your life and hold you back instead of pushing you forward. I know that previous chapter in my life I am the only one to be held accountable for everything. And especially for giving someone the power over my life to waste it. I know I am now as I was then a mature adult who was responsible for her own actions and I am, so that is why I am only pointing fingers to me for letting him hold me back, taking, consuming so much of me, of my time, effort, energy, etc only to fail me and let me down at the end. And I knew it all along but ignored it. My best friends warned me about it from the start but I didn't listen, I was consumed in that relationship I lost myself. But thank the heavens the I got to save myself when the damage was still sustainable.

Anyways, now I can safely say the following : As the boss girls, the Queens we are , we deserve a partner who first and foremost sees eye to eye with us, understands our priorities and walks that path side by side with us. We deserve a partner who never ceases to show us and the rest of the world how proud he is of us, and that he's got our back no matter what. Sometimes, we only need a sweet word, a hug, a nod and a soft " it's gonna be okay, I know you can do it " with a kiss pressed to our forehead. We deserve someone who would go the extra mile for us to help us reach our goals. We deserve someone who doesn't mind putting their needs second - at critical times - just to see us succeed at the end. We deserve a partner who perceives our success is their success and our happiness is their happiness.

If you attend school, what time do you usually get home after? I always have extracurriculars like org stuff, meetings, or fieldwork after my academic schedule so more often than not I’ll get home by 9 or 10 PM, which leaves me feeling exhausted as fuck at the end of the day. When was the last time you really needed to just let loose? Like two weeks ago? I was bored out of my mind being stuck at home so I chugged a lot of soju that I asked my dad to buy so I can at least be drunk while being bored lol. Have you ever been blackmailed? Kinda. This might sound sarcastic but thanks, survey, for reminding me what kind of mom my mother actually was during the years that were the most critical to my development lmao. I always need reminders like this because despite how our relationship has ‘improved’ now that I’m older, I shouldn’t forget the trauma she caused me and the fact that I had always planned to detach myself from her as much as possible once I’m fully independent. Why do you/don't you watch award shows? Because there are sooo many commercials in the middle of it, some presenters are awkward as fuck and I’d rather save myself from the secondhand cringe, and most of the time the choices for the winners are undeserving and end up pissing everyone off. It’s always easier to just wait a few hours and check the results on Google; and besides, the only fun parts are seeing what everyone is wearing and who attends to begin with hah. So I don’t wanna reveal too much about Skylar (full name Valentine Skylar), cause I really do plan on actually writing the fic I planned for her (I’m just really good at procrastinating lmao), but like I said in an earlier post: she’s my bisexual disaster brain child running away from her homophobic parents and the threat of conversion therapy by impulsively deciding to sneak onto Law’s submarine when he visits her home island. I’m basing the conversion therapy stuff off of something similar in the Bloodlines series by Richelle Mead (one of my all time FAVORITES! If you like vampires, action, and romance I can’t recommend it enough! Though you should start with the first series, Vampire Academy as it introduces the world and the cast of characters and the events of that series lead directly into the Bloodlines series. I took some inspiration from Vampire Academy too for some other events in the fic as well).

Skylar is...a lot like me in personality lol she’s 5’5”, goofy, loves to laugh and sing and just generally have fun, and she’s very clumsy. She’s also got major anxiety, but it’s not something she actually has a diagnosis for (so she doesn’t know there’s a problem and can’t handle it when it flares up, she’s unprepared to deal with it). She does like to read, mostly fiction, and she likes to look at the stars, and gaze out the windows of the sub when they’re submerged. She’s very musically gifted. Part of her deal with Law for essentially free room and board is that she cooks (they don’t have a designated cook otherwise, and this way they never have to let Law back in the kitchen again), and while she’s cooking she’ll be singing so loud it carries through the pipes on the sub (almost like they have radio lmfao). She’s also impulsive; her decision to sneak onto Law’s sub was totally spur of the moment, she knew the risks, she knew exactly who’s ship she was sneaking onto (thanks to wanted posters), and that it was dangerous, but she still packed up as much of her stuff as she could, stole a TON of her parents’ money, and snuck on anyway. Law wonders a lot whether she’s just an idiot or possibly someone trying to spy on him (either for the Marines, or more sinisterly for Doflamingo. He knows the likelihood for either of these things is extremely slim, but he keeps her close so he can keep an eye on her. He can’t afford to make a mistake with that). It takes a LONG time for them to move past the “I don’t trust you” stage, and even then she’s much more invested than he is for a really long time, mostly because he’s an emotionally constipated BUTT who doesn’t like to acknowledge that he FEELS THINGS lmao

Most of her life she’s been fighting against someone else’s control; mostly her parents (she’s 21 at the start of the story but hasn’t been able to feel like a true adult until she leaves, they’ve had such a hold over her AND they’re powerful people where she lives so she HAS to leave the island completely to be free). She also experienced some of this with her girlfriend, Mimi, though not to nearly the same extreme. Mimi had big dreams of getting off their island and becoming a world famous musician, along with Skylar. Skylar just wants to travel the world, but Mimi’s loud personality manipulated her into adopting the dream of being a musician. It wasn’t malicious in any way, but usually when Mimi would say “We’re doing this” or “We don’t like that”, Skylar usually agreed. She wouldn’t speak out against it, in part due to finally feeling loved (ahh parent issues lol). About a year before the start of the story, Mimi joins the Marines as a way to start earning some money, as well as getting her foot out the door in a way (it gets her off the island, so all that’s needed is to earn enough to get settled somewhere, go back for Skylar, and then they can begin their life together). Unfortunately, her patrol ship was destroyed by a pirate crew a few months later, and she’s now MIA and presumed dead. 

Being with Law and his crew is really the first time she’s been able to try deciding things for herself, and then follow through. He’s not gonna try to push her in any direction, that’s not his business, and so there comes an extra sense of freedom with them that she’s never had before. 

Law also keeps her around because he finds out she has a roundabout connection to Doflamingo, and he thinks he can find a way to exploit that connection for information. Her parents have a very on-the-level business selling pharmaceuticals, which is what keeps them in good standing with the Marines when they come to the island (there’s no actual base set up, but there’s another close by). They ALSO have a black market business smuggling hallucinogens throughout the Grand Line, beginning to venture into the other seas as well, starting with North Blue. There’s a fruit that grows on the island called the Follia Fruit (literally Insanity in Italian) which causes strong hallucinations when eaten. They were able to get a good foot in the black market using Doflamingo’s connections, and they know HIM because they were actually formerly part of his crew (they left the crew before Law joined, so he doesn’t know them, and they left because Skylar’s grandmother was dying and leaving the entire fortune and family-run business to them, otherwise they would’ve stayed with Doffy. Skylar’s more of an object for them to use.) Skylar vaguely knows her parents have an underworld contact, she’s seen his Jolly Roger in her father’s office, near his wall safe, but she doesn’t know who he actually is. At most she’s heard mention of a “Joker” and that’s it, so Law can easily fish for information without giving up that he’s honestly using her too (he doesn’t have any reason to just be nice to her, especially since she snuck onboard before he ever met her, and that’s part of the journey; balancing his goal with the fact he’s developing feelings for the person he’s using to help achieve that goal). It’s a slooooooooow burn btw lol takes a long time for things to truly get going between them, but when it does it kinda picks up quick. It’s gonna be fun lol

Speaking of the Follia Fruit, that’s how Skylar got her devil fruit. I do NOT have a name for it yet, because I can’t find one I like that still overall fits? But essentially she can manipulate light particles (photons? Idk science stuff, whatever light is actually made of). She can use it to create a camouflage cover (it’s main use, she’s a sneaky person despite also being clumsy as hell lmfao), and that works like she’s placing a cloak over herself (like an invisibility cloak!), and she also eventually learns to create force fields of hardened light, like the light bridges in Portal 2 (it takes a lot of energy though, so it’s not nearly as easy, but it does come in handy). Whether these are all actually scientifically sound remains irrelevant, in my universe it works muahahaha (there is precedent for these powers at least, I just don’t know how it all actually works. Science is NOT my forte). She was actually trying to eat the Follia Fruit when she ate the devil fruit instead, as when consumed in a large enough dose it can be fatal (so yeah, WARNING there: her girlfriend is dead, she’s being tortured, she manages to escape at one point and decides she absolutely is NOT going back). Fortunately, she didn’t check what fruit she was eating before chowing down, and she not only lived but she gained super powers lol. She also at one point asks Law to help teach her how to fight and defend herself, which is super fun cause she’s NOT in shape lol but she does eventually learn at least basic hand to hand and how to use a blade (typically a knife or a dagger, she’s small).

Skylar also works very hard to develop her Observation Haki. I’ve always wondered if it was possible to manipulate your haki so you could be indetectable by other users, which would be extremely useful when your abilities include sneaking and camouflage. So Skylar learns how to do it, focusing more on the detection aspects of haki than any of the other uses (predicting movement). It hasn’t been shown in canon, obviously, but I think it’s feasible.

Clearly I’ve thought a lot about all this, now it’s just a matter of writing actual sentences lmao

My other main OC is Monkey D. Hazel. She’s Luffy’s big sister, older by about 4 years (so she’s older than Ace and Sabo by 1 year). She’s a good big sister lol she’s super protective, almost mothering despite not being that much older, and it drives the boys nuts (but they still love her anyway and appreciate her for it and all that. They can take care of themselves, but they know if they ever needed her to step in she would in a heartbeat). She’s not nearly as chaotic as Luffy, but she does follow him into a lot of shenanigans (usually with a shrug and a grin like “yup that’s Luffy”). She’s always wanted to help Luffy achieve his dream, and write down his adventures for future generations to read, so she stayed behind until he was ready to start on his own pirate journey.

She also totally had a thing with Ace (I know it can be kinda iffy, given their shared past and psuedo-sibling status, but I think they work well together, and given that they were 2 teens going through puberty at the same time in the same area, I think it’s extremely likely they could’ve developed feelings for each other that they didn’t necessarily fully understand at the time. I also don’t think she’d be one to participate in the sake drinking scene that the boys use to say “ok we’re brothers now”, and until she was an adult only saw Ace as a close friend that Luffy also saw as a big brother. Being that they were in the same age group, I think it’s less likely she’d see him and Sabo as brothers until they were much older. Sorry if that seems like I’m making excuses, I know not everyone is going to agree with that kind of “ship”, but I literally started shipping them on accident and now I can’t stop cause it makes sense to me that something would have happened between them, even something small). Any relationship they did have ended when Ace left to be a pirate, and with time spent apart and both growing older, Hazel’s views turn more sisterly, like “We grew up together, he’s practically my brother” (though Ace’s may or may not have stayed kind of the same. It makes for interesting conversation when they do meet again in Alabasta). When he dies, she’s absolutely devastated, and does start to wonder “what if?”, like what if she’d pursued a real relationship with him from the beginning, gone with him, could she have kept him safe, etc. It takes a very long time for her to come to terms with it, and to accept that she couldn’t have done anything to stop it, nor was it her place to try. She loses her best friend, and it does take some of the spark out of her, so she’s more reserved after the time skip.

She loses her right leg in a fight with CP9, essentially the bones gets crushed, and her new pal Franky helps whip up a cool robot leg for her in between work on the new ship. It’s got a few bells and whistles: a pistol in the kneecap, a roller blade in the bottom of the foot, and she can detach the metal plates in a way that makes her taller (if she stands on one leg lol). She thinks Franky is SUPER cool (I always hated that the girls in the series never think robots or ninjas or anything are cool, she’s not like that lmfao), and Luffy is jealous of her robot leg.

She sustained some pretty major burns to her right side at Marineford (either by Akainu when he murdered Ace; she stepped in front of Luffy, Ace stepped in front of her, the magma-arm didn’t touch her skin because it was stopped by her coat, but the heat was enough to still cause 3rd-degree burns to her arm, shoulder, and face because it’s fucking LAVA, and destroy half of her clothing; OR some other thing set on fire and burned her lol I dunno enough to say whether that’s feasible with magma but I like that version better, that it was caused in some way by Akainu). It was a question of if she’d ever be able to use her arm again, but Law’s a very good doctor (though she did threaten him when he wouldn’t let her see Luffy right away, saying with him being in critical condition they couldn’t risk an infection. She was not happy). She actually bonds slightly with Law after they escape and she’s in stable condition, cause she breaks down about what happened before he can escape (lol). In her mind she’s just lost another person she cared about (a brother-type figure, and someone she loves very much in her own way), and Luffy could very well be on his deathbed, and she can’t even see him, and the rest of their crew is who knows where, and she may lose use of her arm, and she HURTS, and it’s a lot to take in. Law keeps trying to tell her to calm down or she’ll undo everything he just did to save her, and she accuses him of being insensitive (I mean...yeah), and throws out a comment like “what you never lost anybody? Fuck off”. He glares at her, then sits and sighs, hiding his face beneath his hat. He’s silent for a while, then tells her he’s also lost a sibling. He doesn’t say anything more, doesn’t give details, but it still hits like a slap to the face, and she realizes he’s offering an olive branch by telling her that, and that hey here’s someone who knows exactly how you feel right now, don’t push away the only person who understands. They don’t bring it up again, but she does start to calm down.

The Crew: When she met Zoro she kept scolding Luffy about bossing him around, that it’s not his place to tell someone they’re joining the crew (of course he doesn’t listen), but after Zoro joins they get along really really well (she also mildly flirts with him for fun, he blushes like crazy, but it’s pretty harmless overall. Those three together is pretty chaotic on its own lol). 

She didn’t trust Nami at first, as she came out of nowhere after messing with a different pirate, so she’s wary that the girl has something up her sleeve regarding her brother, but after they defeat Arlong Hazel is extremely protective of her, and the two take care of each other (also again: mild flirting. That time spent with Ace as a teen really helped Hazel’s confidence as a flirt, but after the time skip a lot of that goes away).

Hazel and Usopp tell stories together, usually for the whole crew, and she sees him as another little brother sort of figure. Chopper is baby, she loves Chopper instantly and will beat down anyone that looks at him funny. She doesn’t flirt with Sanji, because she doesn’t like the way he falls over himself around her and doesn’t want to encourage more of it, but once he (finally) takes the hint the two have a very strong friendship. She was very wary of Robin, until Water 7/Enies Lobby, and now sees her as an older sister. Robin, for her part, and even Franky to some degree, wish that Hazel would stop trying to be the crew’s grown up, and would go have fun as a girl in her early 20’s. She does ease up once the two join the crew, but bonds with the adults a lot. She’s someone the younger crew members go to with problems, but Robin and Franky, and eventually Brook and Jinbei, are who Hazel goes to for advice.

After the 5th time of Brook asking to see her panties, she says fuck it and throws a clean pair at him, saying that’s all he gets and if he asks her one more time she WILL throw him overboard. He doesn’t bring it up again.

Jinbei actually shows her the basics of Fishman Karate on their way back to Marineford before the timeskip. She still can’t move too well, so she just watches, but she incorporates what she learns into her fighting style.

She wanted to stay with Luffy when he went to train with Rayliegh, but the old man put a stop to it right away saying she’d not only be too distracted to focus on her own training, but she’d likely coddle Luffy. It was better for them to spend some time apart anyway, for really the first time in their lives, and though she’s nervous about not being with him she agrees. Hancock ends up taking her under her wing for the time being, but only because she’s Luffy’s sister (and therefore not a threat lmfao).

As far as after the time skip, she’s mostly the same but doesn’t immediately jump into Luffy’s shenanigans, and can be more of a voice of reason when needed. At Punk Hazard, she’s the first one of the Straw Hats (besides Luffy) to trust Law and agree that they should form an alliance. She furiously hates Caesar, like she isn’t even able to be near him or his heart cause she might stab him and ruin the whole plan (you don’t mess with kids man Hazel WILL fuck you up). At Dressrosa she joins in the fight to help the Tontattas, and follows Usopp and Robin to the port under the coliseum. When she sees Sabo, she IMMEDIATELY bursts into tears and latches onto his shoulders so tight it would take a crowbar to separate them (not that he tries, he’s happy to see her too). She also scolds Robin later for not telling her, but the older woman just laughs and says “but isn’t this so much better?” It is, but Hazel won’t admit it yet lol

She doesn’t go with Luffy to Whole Cake Island, but she does end up meeting up with him and Zoro in Wano, and helps rescue O-Tama.

Potential love interests for Hazel (besides Ace) would be Zoro, Nami, or Law, but honestly she could be shipped with anyone which makes it super fun lol (if anyone read this whole thing and has ideas send them in I’d love to hear them!!)

Anyway thank you for reading this entire long ass essay about my brain children! I think about them a lot, as I’m sure you can tell lol
