i was driving to school this morning and i was struck by the thought of a version of the painting “Ivan the Terrible and His Son Ivan” except it’s the ghost of visenya clutching maegor’s body when he dies on the throne.

i know visenya is the paragon wire mother, and Maegor is Maegor, but i dunno. him dying on the throne, having effectively terrorized, murdered, and alienated any one who might have mourned him in the pursuit of the throne and the continuation of his father’s fledgling dynasty feels like such a crystallization of the targaryen doomrot. it’s tragic, if entirely self-prophetic and earned, but i feel like that kind of scene would be cathartic. the stability of mourning after the all-consuming pursuit of life at all costs. vulnerability and intimacy in death.

(i’m only like 70% this is coherent, but i figured i’d send it anyways because i love your blog and meta and i figure i’d finally say hi!)

Would you ever expand the One Of Us AU or is it more of a silly fun side thing

Do you mean a general "Ford joins during Weirdmageddon" One Of Us AU, or the specific evil Ford deal I've got going on here?

I don't plan to write fic about Evil Ford or anything—I don't plan to be writing much of *anything* except a couple of zine things until I finish my Bill fic—especially since it would largely be a retelling of canon with a few events changed and that doesn't much appeal to me as an author.

But I might toss art out from time to time, and I'm willing to answer questions about the AU. I've got another ask in my inbox about Evil Ford that I'm gonna throw some art at as soon as i finish another drawing or two.
