Dance...
The Divine Me: Embracing Your Inner Goddess... [excerpt]
Dance
Long, long ago, I would dance. I would put on several layers of the large discarded house dresses, party dresses, and petticoats of my grandmother and my aunts, slip my small feet into their oversized high heels, and spin in the middle of my bedroom, making the long skirts fan out around me.
This was my dance...

"match my freak!" match my sweetness. match my benevolence. match my empathy. match my ability to feel emotions so deeply it tears me apart from the inside out

I was walking out of the Walmart today, and a car passed me, and I got this incredibly vivid impression. It wasn't really in words, but if I had to put it into words, the two key points would be
a). I needed to watch that car and
b). That I needed to be careful, because the driver of the car was a massive bitch.
It kind of took me by surprise, because I really had no reason to be beefing with that car, and I also hadn't really had an impression like that since I was religious, which was in my teen years. Right? It'd been a decade since I had a little voice whisper in my ear, and I'd basically written it off as nonsense.
Anyway, I watched the car, because The Spirits or whatever were very insistent that I did. Car drove fine, went into the parking spot, inched forward, and right when it should've just stopped, the driver gunned it for some reason and it ran into the curb and cracked its bumper.
So, the driver got out, and she went to the front of the car to check that yes, she had cracked her bumper, and then she turned to look at me. The parking lot wasn't empty, but we were the only two people standing in that row, and I'd probably been staring at her for tenish seconds now.
She demanded very angrily to know why I hadn't warned her of the curb. And I could have said I didn't know you were about to gun it or is it my job to help every stranger park, or even could you have even heard me, inside your car?
And all of those would have been fine, but I was really, really busy digesting that I had somehow communed with Mormon Jesus again for the first time in fifteen years, and that the communion had mostly been there to let me watch someone park badly (?), so what I responded with was:
"Because it was foretold."
And I can't tell which would be funnier, if she went silent because there's not much to be said to that, or if she went silent because in Utah, she might actually believe me, but we parted ways without more words.
I'm still kind of digesting this myself, actually.

*after the events of the odyssey*
*telemachus and odysseus walking down to the docks, after odysseus said he'd go sailing with his son*
(listen the man had missed 20 years of his son's life, he could ask ody to dress in drag & do the hula and odysseus would already be shouting "LUAU" in a grass skirt before tele finished his sentence)
telemachus: i'm so excite- *looks ahead*
telemachus: *stops walking* oh no *sad noises*
odysseus: *still walking* what's wrong son?
telemachus: *points to the sea beyond ithaca's shores* poseidon must be angry today, look at the storm in the distance
odysseus: *looks ahead but without worry on his face* no need to worry, we can still go sailing, follow me
telemachus: *confused but follows his dad*
*both make it to the docks*
odysseus: you get started, i've just got something to do & then i'll join you on the ship
*telemachus hops on the ship and odysseus turns to face the sea*
odysseus: *red eyes activate* i'm. going. sailing. with . my. son.
*the sea storm dissipates in record speed*
odysseus: good.
odysseus: *red eyes deactivate*
odysseus: *turns to telemachus smiling like nothing happened* shall we go then?
telemachus: *happy but very confused*
telemachus: *mumbling to himself*what just happened?
(this has now become its own little au! friends in higher places au masterlist here!)

The Divine Me: Embracing Your Inner Goddess [excerpt]
[Excerpt from one of the "Facing the Mirror" sections... Facing the Mirror: How do you connect with yourself?]
·       Be aware of changes in your energy Yes, learn to do this. It could save your life. I was at a stop light in Fremont, Nebraska, southbound on Broad St. I was driving, my now ex-husband was sitting in the passenger seat. All of the sudden, yep, there it was, that “change” in energy. It’s so hard to describe because it can be so subtle. My reaction to it was that I froze. The red light turned green, and still, I sat there, frozen. My ex was shouting at me now, “Move, go!! The light is green!” Nope, my body wouldn’t budge. Within seconds, a car went speeding through a red light in front of us, west bound on 23rd St., at 60 or 70 miles an hour. If I would’ve been making my left hand turn onto this street, it would have broadsided us. After this vehicle whooshed through this intersection, yep, there it was again, that weird change in energy. I was no longer frozen. I was also miffed at the man in the passenger seat and his attitude, so I turned to him calmly as he sat there now in shocked silence, open-mouthed, and I said, “Okay, now it’s time to move.”
· Write down your dreams
I used to keep dream journals, but then I used to remember my dreams. Not so much anymore unless it’s a visitation dream. That’s a dream where the spirit of a departed loved one visits you. They are usually very vivid dreams, you will acutely feel the departed spirit’s presence, and you will not forget the dream. Sometimes your departed family member may have an important message to leave with you. My great-grandmother showed up to tell me it was okay. I hadn’t seen or spoken to her in several years before she passed. So, she showed herself with her lips tied shut, much like you see on voodoo dolls in hoodoo horror flicks, which was her way of emphasizing a lack of communication. It was an alarming sight at first, but I quickly realized her implications. Then I heard her voice telepathically in my mind: “It’s okay.” Immediately, there was a feeling of peace. It was her way of acknowledging that even though it had been a long time since we’d seen or spoken with each other, all our ties and our relationship were intact. Always was, always would be.
