Updates

Hey everyone, so I thought I’d write another update post. Here’s where all current projects are standing:

Crystal Magic Rewrites: Currently on hiatus until the inspiration rolls back around again. 

The Divine Legacy: Taking some time on hiatus for this as well, but I am planning on working on a chapter outline and tweaking the structure of Act I to be more interesting.

Huntress: Cancelled, characters and concepts may be recycled elsewhere. I don’t see myself revisiting this one because while there were some things I liked about this idea, it wasn’t ever a priority and there are other things I have ideas for that would work more. 

Daughters of Fire and Rain: Cancelled for right now. This could change later on, but I’ve not been able to make this concept work for four years. I’m going to let this one sit in the back of my computer for a while. 

Villain Story: Currently cancelled, although it may be retooled into a work separate from Atomicverse with entirely new characters. 

Atomicverse: I’ve slowed down on querying due to school and other responsibilities but I intend to see it through to all 150 rejections before I retire the story and post it on Wattpad. Three down, only 147 to go!

I do however have some new tags that you guys might have noticed: Fairy Story and Witch Story. 

Witch Story: This one is about to go on hiatus again, I can feel it, but it’s basically a take on dark HP fanfic in America with influences from other witchy media. I’ll tell more about this as I get more into it. 

Fairy Story: This one has taken over my life since this spring. It’s a high-fantasy middle grade story about fairies and I can’t wait to share more about it in the coming months. This one isn’t going away or really cycling out, and I’ll be excited to share more soon!

So to recap, Villain Story, Huntress, and the Daughters of Fire and Rain are all cancelled projects for the moment. The Divine Legacy and Crystal Magic are on hiatus, but I do still plan to work on them, as with the new tag, Witch Story. The Fairy Story/Fairy series is the main project I am working on right now and I am looking forward to sharing more soon.

Sometimes it’s frustrating when projects just don’t work out like you thought it would. I hate how flaky my muse can be, but I also have learned that the apophism about love (”if you love it, set it free”) is true for creative projects as well. Sometimes you have to let it go for a while and it comes back better than if you kept pushing though.

hey guys so I'm gonna be going offline for a couple of months due to some personal stuff. so sorry I feel so bad but I feel like it would be best given the situation (i'd rather not talk about it but dw it's nothing nefarious or anything just personal!)

BUT I shall be lurking about sometimes, just not very often. I will hopefully be back sometime soon so not TOO long!

TWs:violence, death, gore, body horror for most of these. Some sexual references but nothing too graphic, In the Craft Sequence I do remember Three Parts Dead having a non-consenual kiss, can't recall any further SA atm.

Greek Goddess Legacy Challenge, Generation #9 Nemesis: Completed

Next up, we will call a witness in: Meet Nemesis, goddess of retribution.

Seeing how easily your father got away with cheating and hurting so many people, you decide you will make things right in the world. Together with your twin-sister and best friend, Themis, you start studying hard for that one goal: becoming a lawyer. You will protect all the innocent sims from their abusive spouses. With full confidence you embark on this journey. some say your methods are cold and heartless, but you know your heart is way purer than that of those you bring to their knees in court. Justice will be served.

Little bit explanation with the sheets: - First sheet is for describing your current generation, with the challenges you need to do each life-stage. Also, because I love the myths, a bit of mythological background. May it inspire you :) - Second sheet is the preparation sheet for this generation, with important characters for your story. It is technically optional, but I love seeing sims with a backstory in my world, so I would highly recommend it. (IN THIS CASE, ONE OF THE CHILDREN IS ON THIS SHEET AS WELL) - Third sheet is for your gens children. They all have their own little challenges if your interested in those. I try to make all of them a bit different from each other, so it doesn’t get boring. Your heir is also on this sheet, but I’ve put their challenges on their own sheets. Stay tuned for those ;) (YOUNGEST DAUGHTER, ECHO IS ON PREP SHEET) - Fourth sheet is completely optional. If you want sims with names from the myths and love making sims to see them in your world, this is for you! All with a little mythological background ofc, you know me.

The Greek Goddesses Challenge by LJJ-Sims is a challenge based on the ancient mythical creatures and stories from Greece. I fell in love with Greek mythology in high school and have not let that love go since. In this challenge you will follow 10 deities in their journey through life. Every goddess has a different take on and goal in life. Special about this challenge?  All your kids have little challenges of their own, not only your heir. These challenges are optional, so if you feel like these are too much or just too restricting for you: by all means let them go. I also have sheets for characters that you can make before you start each generation. This gives your challenge a lot more personality and makes it frankly easier and more fun!

A little disclaimer: because I made these gods and goddesses into a legacy challenge, the relationships in the myths don’t exactly match the relationship in this challenge. There is a lot of keep it in the family in mythology, to put it lightly. And apart from the fact that you can’t do that in the Sims, I don’t really like that part. So I didn’t include it, thus the inconsistency. An example: Ares is now Hera’s stepfather instead of her son, which she conceived with her brother  and husband Zeus. This inconsistency can also be found in the stories. It’s just based on and not copied exactly, as Sims live lives that are a lot shorter than those of immortal gods. And it takes a way from the creativity if we just copy the myths. Even if we wanted to do that, it’s quite hard, as every myths has its fair share of variations and some are just completely different stories.

I use the MCCC-mod to alter the length of life states. You can find the days-years ratio here: the boring stuff.

I get all the information from several sites about mythology, but mostly use https://greekgodsandgoddesses.net/goddesses. This is a great place to start if you want to know the myths surrounding a certain god or goddess. Wikipedia is also a friend of mine in this challenge, although I automatically doubt a lot of information that is on there. More of a book person? I absolutely adore Stephen Fry’s Mythos, which is very beginner friendly, and Nathalie Haynes Pandora’s jar. For little synopses of gods, I would recommend Greek Mythology: The Gods, Goddesses, and Heroes Handbook by Liv Albert.

ohhhh my god ok i just listened to the Fontaine Live Symphony and the music is making me think of a waltz. waltzing together with Childe in a fierce battle, both of you just barely dodging each other's attacks, yet you both smile at each other in playful rivalry. you and Childe waltzing during Lantern Rite, tucked away in some lofty mountain where you can see the entire city, content in each other's arms. he teaches you some dances from Snezhnaya, all unique in their own way, but always, always requiring two people.

...waltzing with Foul Legacy over the clear waters of Fontaine, practicing steps you saw from a robotic couple locked in an everlasting dance. even waltzing together in a crystalline pond, reflecting all the stars of the night sky, threatening to drag both of you down into its depths. he's slightly clumsier now, still getting used to being so much taller, but his claws handle you with care and grace, and you know that he'll never let you fall. even the Hydro Archon herself couldn't judge this dance, only able to see the loving smile you cast up towards a monstrous Abyssal creature, his delicate wings fluttering with delight and flicking dewdrops into your hair.

perhaps in some story, you and Foul Legacy are the new dancing pair, everlasting and everloving until Teyvat dissolves into rain.
