Uleanra’s death was caused by one of Aëzore’s manic episodes.

He wasn’t thinking. His mind clouded by hatred. Whether it was aimed at Uleanra or himself was unclear.

He was weak.

He couldn't risk being weak.

Not now. Not back then. Not ever.

Getting rid of the old, in with the new. Out with the things that drag him down. To hell with the emotions.

To hell with Uleanra.

He ignored his struggle. The violent thrashing of his body. He didn’t stop when he felt the movement begin to stop.

Minutes turned into hours. Hours stretching long until it got dark. The bright Christmas lights had long gone out, along with him.

Aëzore finally looked back at him. 

Dull cloudy eyes staring back at him. The sunglasses must’ve fallen off a few hours back. Uleanra’s face, now pale and cold.

The entire time Aëzore had been throwing insult after insult, countless accusations of Uleanra turning him into a dependent mess of a man. 

He’d been dead. 

Strangled by the christmas lights that Aëzore himself, had “gifted” him,

After the death of Uleanra, Aëzore would make himself out to be the victim of it all. 

Uleanra knew what he was doing. Daring to make Aëzore feel things. Daring to make the emperor himself!..feel dependent.

Killing him was his only way out. Out of these emotions. 

Aëzore felt regret. He felt alone. But after all, it was Uleanra’s fault. It all was. If only he hadn’t made the mistake of making Aëzore fall in love with him.

(sidenote, the reason I refer to Alone with his petramian name, but not Uleanra is because Alone views Uleanra as below him. Below the dirt he walks on. Referring to him by his petramian name isn’t something Uleanra has earned, or would ever be able to. Other than using Uleanra to feed into his possessiveness and ownership over a living being, alongside with using him as a distraction for his loss, he couldn’t care less about him.

No but imagining the batkids scattering away from a situation gotta be the most hilarious shit ever after Bruce caught them doing something they’re not supposed to do that even Bruce sometimes gotta hold back a smile.

Bruce, seeing one of the mansion’s living area a total mess with knifes and batarangs stuck in the walls, smoke still slowly dispersing from the area and broken furniture everywhere. His kids are all over the ground, breathing heavily. Normally he wouldn’t care but he’s hosting an event in his home today and Bruce is visibly mad. They won’t use the room for the event but the man is paranoid. “What is going on here!” He bellowed

Cue Dick screaming “Scatter!” And Dick flips out the window, landing perfectly on his feet from the third floor, Damian jumps out the window too with Alfred the cat hanging around the back of his neck, Jason grappling up into nowhere and actually disappearing, Tim is running into a different entrance to another room with Steph, Duke used his powers to be invisible and Cass just disappears into the shadows in broad daylight.

Bruce is left in the destroyed room, flabbergasted at what just happened. He holds back a smile soon after, not sure to be proud or laugh. Alfred is behind him, a menacing aura surrounding him because the man hates cleaning up last minute and Bruce is also suddenly gone, causing the butler to sigh. Alfred simply locks the door and blocks any entry into it.

Guests who happened to sneak up the third floor and sees the chained up room simply thought it was Bruce’s sex dungeon.

district exilers alone meets cannon selozar

I'm sure this has been done before but Gravity Falls/Hunger Games AU? The 50th games/2nd Quarter Quell becomes even more dramatic because in one of the districts, the two male tributes are twins??

This year becomes one of the longest-running games in history; sparked in part by the Capitol's obsession with the twins, Stan and Ford, who have an argument early on and split ways. Stan becomes an expert in hiding and running, making and then breaking alliances as the other tributes inevitably try to use him to get to Ford. But why get to Ford?

Because Ford is excelling. The dangerous and odd mutations of the arena become his fascination and his strength. Probably also because during the pre-game process the Capitol got enamored with his six fingers and awkward attitude and view him as this weird little oddball underdog, and that infuriates especially the Careers. Stan is fighting for his life every day, and thinks Ford is doing the same--- but Ford has a mysterious, anonymous sponsor who sends him everything he needs, signing each note with not a name but a little triangle. The major upset comes when, of course, the last two tributes alive are Stan and Ford. The games end when Stan unceremoniously pushes Ford off a cliff and into the river below.

(Ford, of course, does not actually die. His sponsor was Bill, duh, who I picture as a Heavensbee-like figure, a gamemaker who is actually aligned with D13, more for the chaos than any sense of rebellion or morals. He takes Ford and deposits him in D13 to aid in the rebellion.)

Stan becomes the Haymitch-like drunken, lonely Victor who no one wants to interact with. His district, under his angry tutelage, goes through a period of losing. Then, the 74th games.

When they call Dipper's name, Mabel tries to volunteer. She can't, because she's a girl, but that doesn't stop her from trying so hard the Peacekeepers have to hold her down. So, she does the next best thing: when the girl's name is called, she volunteers again, pushing her way into the games despite Dipper's dismay.

They know Stan is their grunkle, but he's estranged and their first real interactions happen with him as their mentor. He assures them repeatedly they will turn on each other; Dipper and Mabel use the power of twins to win the Capitol's support as gamemakers dramatically drudge up reminders of what happened to the last set of twins. It's the "twins" angle rather than the original books' "star-crossed lovers" angle that earns the twins the right to win as a pair (can you imagine how Stan felt, knowing if he was just a little smarter he and Ford could've been spared, too?).

Eventually, D13's existence is revealed, Ford is shown to be alive, Stan goes through the reverse 7 stages of grief and probably also a lot of booze, etc. etc. They defeat the presidents (probably the Northwests, Pacifica would make a decent President's granddaughter), and end up taking down Bill too as his goal was, of course, to take dictatorial rule in the creation of the power vacuum.

so anyway when anyone holds the belief that the career kids were evil and were natural born killers you are equally dehumanizing them like the systems of training they were put in. you are adultifying children who were brainwashed and forced to learn the ways of slaughter for sake of glory. we could talk about their parallels to war also, but the main thing here are these are children taught that in order to appease their district they must kill ruthlessly and without second regard for anyone else in th equation. their win and their path of success only, even if in the end they're still cannon fodder like all other victors. like how many time does it have to be said that the careers are VICTIMS. not villains like they're portrayed as by the narrative.
