OK, I know we got a few Star Wars crossover AUs here already, but like

What if Desmond gets reborn into Star Wars as a Zabrak? Specifically a female Dathomirian Zabrak. I say female cause the female Dathomirian's learn force stuff while the males are little more then slaves and do not learn force stuff- they're more warriors though.

Let's have Desmond be younger the Obi-wan but Older then Anakin here.

Desmond was old enough to have remembered his time in Dathomir, learning the very basics of Nightsister's magic and culture before, for some reason or another, he was taken off planet, and not long later, gets taken in by the Jedi due to his force Sensitivity. So about older then 3 but younger then 6 cause, if I remember, 6 years old is the oldest they may take a child in or af least the species' equivalent to 6.

I mention Desmond learning basic Nightsister magic cause, among the things Nightsister's are able to do, they can conjure up spirits of ancestors and other night sister's and such. And with Desmond being Desmond, despite only being taught basics, let's say he's oddly adept in spirit conjuring without even needing the Ichor Dathomir has. Meaning, Desmond summons his ancestors from his previous life, and their presence in general would cause confusion and chaos among the Nightsister even, maybe warrant Desmond being sent away? Unsure how or why he's away from Dathomir.

Least to say, the Jedi having to deal with a child born with Dark Side influences with their clearly Force Ghost they can summon- which, none of them can even understand them but can see the fact they are a good influence and, very reluctantly, do not do anything about Desmond's ancestors as he calls them.

Just- The Force pushing Desmond to interfere with the future events of the galaxy, first being him befriending Obi-Wan around the time Obi-wan is still new to being a Padawan and Desmond's on his way to obtaining his first lightsaber. Maybe they meet at the Archives cause Altair insisted Desmond to read as much stuff as he can.

We might have to mess up the timeline a bit but the reason Desmond was pushed out of the clan could be because the current Mother, Talzin, realized that Desmond is too rigid in certain ways.

They have no qualms with a sister who prefers to be called ‘he’. He was more gifted than most and, whatever he lacked, he makes up through sheer willpower and guile.

His moral compass isn’t black and white but there are certain aspects to it that do appear… impregnable.

It’s because of Desmond’s moral compass that the mother knew he would never agree to siding with Darth Sidius.

In fact, Desmond would absolutely lead them to a civil war if he learns of what Darth Sidius had done just to stop the clan from assisting the Sith Lord and then he’d definitely try to kill Darth Sidius himself.

Talzin knew the child enough to know that he would destroy the stability she was preserving if he remained with them.

But…

Desmond was also one of her most precious students. An orphan she had taken in and nurtured, answered every questions and trained personally.

She cannot kill him even if she knew that it was better than he died here, before he could reach greater magic than she herself could.

So she banishes him, made up some pathetic excuse.

And he didn’t call her out to it.

He didn’t try to plead his innocence.

It was unnerving.

The child knew that he was being banished by the one person that raised him as her own.

And it was like he was expecting it.

No.

That wasn’t right.

It was like…

He didn’t know it was going to happen but, now that it did, he wasn’t surprised by it.

As if it was a given that his mother would leave him.

They sent him in a merchant ship that would tell him about each planet they’d visit and he can leave at any time.

If he wanted to, he can work for the merchant ship and learn the trades.

Talzin believed that he would do well, whatever he turned out to be.

So when she heard of a nightsister wearing the robes of a Jedi…

When she saw a hologram of Desmond, older and composed…

Melding the Force and their magic fluently to destroy all who stand before him with the calmness of a Jedi and the merciless of a Nightsister.

She knew…

It was only a matter of time before he returned to them…

To pass judgment upon the people who abandoned him.

CHARACTERS I THINK WOULD BE 100x BETTER WITH JESS THAN RORY EVER WAS.

before the literati army comes for me, i don’t dislike them with passion like those fuckass dean fans. when i watch the show i enjoy them the most by far. i enjoy any scene jess is in. however, when i step back, yeah there was no way in hell they were gonna work out in the long run. the writers wouldn’t let that happen, nor should it have. they’re cute; but i’d prefer better for both of them in their own ways.

aka team rory gets therapy, jess gets bitches.

oo. serena van der woodsen (i know, i know. just stick with me!!!)

just hear me out for two seconds. do i think they’d last a lifetime? no, no the fuck i don’t. would they be fun to watch? oh, hell yeah. jess thinks she’s what she is, an annoying girl raised by a billionaire. but she somehow woos him with her long legs and careless attitude. do they break up after she graduates and does nothing with her life while he’s busting his ass off to make a couple hundred a week? um, yeah. but that’s probably already their third breakup because lily hated him at first (hiiii lorelai), blair was a bitch to him, chuck set him up, and gossip girl made a blast about his past. side note: what would jess’s gossip girl name be? i’m leaning toward a catcher in the rye reference. and would he probably be better fit for blair? mmm, yeah. but would that happen, mmm no. but that’s for another time.

oo. spencer hastings (here’s where we’re getting into it)

spencer is one of the few characters that challenges jess’s family dynamic. yeah, he dated his now step-cousin but her sister made out with her half-sister’s half-brother who share a dad that she technically shares sooooo. not to mention her mom’s not even her mom and she has an evil twin sister. so crazy family dynamic no one else understands? yeah they got that covered. i like to call spencer the better rory on speed. because well… spencer was on speed. she definitely fits the academic type who can not only match but challenge his literary references. she just gets it without trying and she’d sure as hell hold a grudge against liz. they’re both strong as hell but they need someone to lean on, they are kids.

oo. marissa cooper (you knew it was coming)

i don’t need to remind you guys of my absolute devotion toward this crossover ship. but hey i’m doing it anyways. let’s make a list, shall we? psycho mom who never took accountability for her actions and *borderline* abused them? check. dad who left? check. running off ‘cause life sucks x2? checcckkkkk. i mean the list could go on and on. my punk loving babies who mentioned the same book and bands, awwwww. i think the great thing about them is they both need to be protected whether they realize it or not. i think they’d be one of those couples that can speak with one look - no words necessary. she glances at him once and he’s holding onto her for dear life. have i imagined their entire relationship in my head? yes, yes i have. is that fic coming? it was supposed to but i suck. anyways, these two were doomed from their start. they really weren’t given a fair chance. but they got past it (or at least they were both *going* to). le sigh.

Keep in mind that Mattel would still have to approve it so don’t go crazy with dark lore + queer ships but definitely can add more than what was originally in the series - or you can completely discard this and do what you want. Rules are made to be broken.

I have been terrified of an ask like this one gracing my inbox. (Still grateful). As much as I ponder the franchise I haven’t thought of much that would objectively move the plot forward. What I’ve been obsessing over are the cracks in explanation or how plain everyone is in a world filled with magic.

Firstly, thank you? One of the reasons I haven’t asked anything twice is because if anyone wants to answer the prompt they are free to (Please do, I beg y’all). And because I figure people have already suggested these ideas already but outright saying “Hey, I want you to answer” appears to work best.

I really like asking people things! But it takes a while when a person has no clear prompt for questions ("asks are open" is vague in this bottleneck of a fandom). Or I see content on their blog that already answer a question I might’ve asked/not involved with other fandoms on said blog.

Also like, the asks I’ve gotten before were objectively a challenge so I just thought that was the bar…

I will say right now I don’t like crossovers so I don’t have many ideas regarding that (Even with g1 monster high).

So webisode ideas….

An episode in which Kitty either apologizes or doubles down on what she did in a Cat who Cried Wolf. (Let’s be clear, the consequences for Cerise would have been worse than death. I am still bitter) (and have also forgotten most of the books if this is ever rectified).

A few episodes where Apple and Raven don’t appear at all and also doesn’t introduce anyone new (they aren’t bad, I’m just bored of them appearing in everything).

Conversely, a few episodes where it focuses on the fact that allegedly Raven and Apple have a social circle outside of their room mate.

An episode on what Apple and Maddie do as co presidents

(any extracurricular episode really)

An episode focusing on the brothers Grimm. I noticed that after Spring Unsprung continuity from the specials doesn’t seem to matter to webisode continuity. So it probably won’t delve into the resentment Giles has built up from being trapped. The next best alternative is something involving Milton’s obsession with the unicorns. Maybe Milton lost a unicorn but is too embarrassed to announce it and sends Giles (or Giles notices on his own and helps anyway) to find it.

And an episode where Ginger has to reconstruct something on her gingerbread cottage and Cerise and Ramona are enlisted to help her.

A boys only episode. Idc what the plot is.

Full salt ahead…

An episode where either Duchess or Ramona call out Poppy on her apparent Roybelness. (Ramona mostly, and then when Poppy reveals the sister secret Ramona is still annoyed, and points out that Grimm probably wouldn’t force them to switch places if he knew at this point (because you don't need two Rapunzel's, but you need at least one Badwolf). Cerise is the reluctant peace keeper)

Oh and also an episode where people eventually hear about the Red/Badwolf romance (friendship?) but mistakenly attribute it to Cerise and Ramona somehow. Obvious it gets cleared up by the end.

If nothing else a picnic date between Ramona and Red.

It seemed towards the end we would have gotten something focused on the hood-badwolf sisters. I'm not sure if the reveal of the secret and acceptance is what I want. I would want a special wholly dedicated to the reform school. Or at least, whatever Ramona did to her sent there.

Because it feels kinda annoying to shove the whole arc of acceptance into 45 minutes start to finish. And nothing in the show explicitly conflicts with Cerise revealing her secret to Hood Hollow (Unfairest of them All) which is objectively the bigger fish for them, compared to the populous of Ever After High, so, I'd be bored watching it. Besides even if in show canon Cerise didn't do what she did. It'd still be just the high school they focus on.

Given how the webisodes are formatted I would've preferred they dealt with the reveal that way (or like how they did THD). The tension between uploads would help.

Super X-Man

ok, this is one of those crossovers I have no idea why I don't see much more of. but have you ever considered the concept of Kal-el landing in kansas in the X-men universe? he still ends up with the Kents but him having enhanced strength and speed as a young kid makes teaching him to hide his abilities even more important.

now let's establish some world building for this fic. 1 most mutants only have one power. a rare few have 2 and mutants with 3 or more powers can be counted on one hand throughout the history of that world. Also the earliest the x gene activates in this AU is age 12. 2 Kal was toddler sized when the ship landed. it opened and he wandered a bit before being found by the Kents. Next day someone else found the spaceship and took it away. Kal is named Clark, and they never really knew about the ship. So, growing up, when his super strength and speed starts really increasing when he is about 10, the family think he is a mutant. The rest of Clark's powers start coming in at age 15. 3 Because Clark is an alien Cerebro does not pick up on him. also, I was going to play that up and that Clark's alien brain works so differently than human or mutant that Charles basically gets static when trying to read his mind. between those two things and him having Super strength, speed, heat vision, and x-ray vision by the time he meets the X-men he is quite the mystery. 4 This fic isn't based on any one X-men cartoon or comics. So it is going to have ages and the timeline rearranged. When Clark meets the X-men it is going to be a little in the early years. The adults at the school are Charles/Professor X, Ororo/Storm, Logan/Wolverine, Hank/Beast, and I'm going to throw in Forge/Daniel Lone-Eagle (took me a while to find his name) The older kid's class which is ages 16-18 and i'll call the A class is going to include Scot/Cyclops, Jean gray, Angel/(who I just learned his name is Warren Kenneth Worthington III), Gambit/Remy (cause I want comedic chaos), and Iceman/Bobby. The younger kids B class ages 13 to 15 Nightcrawler/Kurt, Colosus/Piotr "Peter", Shadowcat/Katherine "Kate / Kitty", Rogue/Anna Marie LeBeau (also just learned her name), and Jubilee. And that is it for the ground level world building. now onto the actual story idea.

So this starts with two mutant kids I made up called Clarence with the power of short-term future vision, only able to see about a day ahead. And a girl named Jade with terrakinesis (basically earth bending) that are on the run going from town to town and basically running a gambling scam with some stone dice. (yes, this is directly inspired by avatar the last airbender season 3 episode the runaway.) Clarence only being able to see about a day in the future helps him find easy marks for their scams but isn't far enough in the future to see all the consequences and they get into a bit of trouble which has them running into someone they scammed before while they are in Smallville. We will get to that in a minute. Before that they scam Pete, one of Clark's friends from school, out of an engraved knife that had been passed down through the family and he goes to Clark to help him get it back.

While trying to help get pete's knife back he accidentally uses his powers. Jade then gets the idea that they'll give the knife back if he helps them with a few scams they haven't been able to pull before. after a week of that Clark has had enough and goes to tell them he is done with it and finds them just as they are being cornered by someone they scammed in the past. Toad, and his friends back up friends Blob and Quicksilver.

There is a fight and Cark helps Jade and Clarence get away and now they are hiding out in kent farm barn. Quicksilver calls Magneto that they found some pretty tough mutants, talking about Jade and Clark, but need help recruiting them. Meanwhile that fight got Charles attention with Cerebro. So, he is bringing Storm, Wolverine, Cyclops and Jean to go help the two teens mutants and try to convince them to come to the school. But cerebro didn't pick up on Clark.

This all comes together with the X-men and Magneto's mutants converging on the Kent's farm. It starts out with both sides talking their pitch. Clarence is more interested in Charles school, and Jade is more interested in Magneto's point of view. Clark outright rejects Magneto and Mr Kent tells them to get off the farm. Of course, things end up with a fight, which ends up wrecking the farm, and both sides find out Clark had more than just speed and strength when he hits magneto with heat vision to get wolverine out of his magnetic grip.

the brotherhood of mutants are forced to retreat, but Jade decided to go with them. Clarence apologizes to the Kent's for bringing trouble to them and chooses to go to Xaviar's school. Clark is interested in the school for mutants but is more concerned with helping rebuild the farm. Charles knows Magneto won't back off from this young boy who displayed three strong powers and and he wants to help the most unusual mutant he has seen. (remember no one knows clark is an alien at this point, and assumptions are being made.) He offers to pay for the damages (which he would have done anyway) to help convince Clark to come to his school too. clark and his parents go inside to talk about it for a few minutes before coming back out to agree to send Clark to Xavier's school for gifted children.

About who MC of the next book will be....I honestly agree with you. I mean, taking out ship discourse, all the arguments I've seen to support Az being the MC for the next ACOTAR book are using points from the CC series. But guess what....I've never read CC! I don't know what the heck a Starsword is or whatever connection that has to Bryce or whatever. And I bet there are plenty of people who've only read ACOTAR. (1/2)

I have found, not just in the book world, that people struggle to think outside of what they know.

For example, I remember getting into an argument with my mother who had been a teacher. Two years ago, my kids school announced that in two weeks time, the teachers would be getting a day off for a mental health day and I was discussing how that is inconvenient for the parents.

I know how hard teachers work, I truly do, But around here, children are expected to go to school 180 days and as parents, they plan on their children being in school as scheduled. So it's very difficult for a working parent to suddenly make plans to keep their children at home outside of the already "budgeted" for sick days, snow days, etc. It's an extra day where a working parent either can't be present for their employer or they need to pay for childcare.

But my stance upset my mother because she thought I wasn't respecting how hard she worked (even though she had retired so it was a moot point), that parents should be expected to take care of their own children.

I wasn't arguing against the fact that teachers worked hard or that parents shouldn't be responsible, just that it did put working parents in a difficult situation that they hadn't been expecting. But she was only focused on what she knew as a teacher and not how she might have felt as a working parent who lost income by this surprise mental health day.

When it comes to the fandom, I think there's a bit of that mentality because the fandom thinks in terms of what they know because they are in the fandom. Understandable but I do think it's important to step back and remember the many people who aren't immersed in the world of SJM in the same way. Something you understand with not having read CC.

Yes, there was a bit of buildup for Az's future story in SF (his name was mentioned often but that doesn't equal buildup, it simply means he shared dialogue and Cassian's plotlines). Hell Emerie was mentioned 421 times and no one is claiming she's getting the next book.

But it's not just about SF or even the crossover which happened months after SF. It's about the ACOTAR series in it's entirety (something I think fans forget when they focus only on SF) and there has been SOOOOOO much buildup for both Elain and Lucien. Two characters with unexplored powers. Two characters with an unaccepted mating bond that snapped. Two characters who haven't found a court to call their own. Two characters who have not gotten to share their traumas though their traumas happened on page since books 1 and 2 and beyond (versus both Az and Gwyn where we were told of their traumas after the fact. I'm not saying that lessens their traumas, simply saying we didn't experience them with the character in "real time", at least not Gwyn's trauma that was the reason for her going to the library).

We watched Lucien nearly killed by Rhys and almost killed again in the second trial, saw that he was whipped for helping Feyre, watched him being pushed down by Tamlin, read as he was forced to flee Spring, witnessed his SA by Ianthe, we witnessed his sadness over Elain and his past when Feyre slipped into his mind and he was given a POV (actually, SJM had Feyre slip into his mind on three different occasions in the actual book, that means just as much as an Az bonus), we saw his brothers try to kill him yet again, it was revealed that he has an unknown father, he met Elain's father and has untold stories with that, he developed a friendship with a female who, at the end of SF was about to be called back to Koschei, was living in the human lands but then was permanently stationed in Spring.

With Elain, she was taken against her will and forced into a Cauldron. Changed into an entirely new species. We had the chance to read how traumatic that experience was for Nesta but some do believe SJM is just going to skip over Elain's experience in favor of Az. Skip over Elain finally being able to talk about the loss of her father. Skip over Elain finally making a decision about her bond and her fiance and Az's rejection. Skip over Elain finally proving that she is capable. Skip over Elain finally finding her home.

I understand that SJM wanted to tell Nesta's story first but Nesta is also an Archeron sister. SJM has always spoken of wanting to tell the stories of these three sisters. So why would she skip over the final sister in favor of Az who the fandom knows is a capable warrior, who knows he belongs in the NC despite his struggles? Who isn't even fully aware that he has a mating bond?

Does it really seem like SJM would bench a FMC in favor of a guy? That Az's story is more important than the 24 year old who was violently taken from the life she knew and forced into a new one, where she recently lost her father and her friends and her fiance, is possibly struggling with her snapped bond and she just doesn't get a voice until Az has his story told?

This isn't meant to sound Anti Az because he deserves his HEA too, I'm just not sure his story is more important to tell than Elain's at this moment. Or even Lucien's.

Because regardless of what we learned of Az in SF or the CC (like you said, some won't read the crossover and from a publishing standpoint that means the next ACOTAR book still has to make sense for those readers), that doesn't erase what we were told of Lucien and Elain long before that.

Az got buildup in SF (2021) and he is part of the crossover (2024).....but she's playing catchup for him because he didn't have a lot setting him up to be an eventual MMC before that.

His newly introduced plots (of which they are still a little unclear outside the Illyrians) don't automatically take precedence over Lucien and Elain's plots. It doesn't mean she's pushing Elucien to the side in favor of Az.

It could just mean she's planning ahead for what comes after Elain and Lucien's story and the crossover isn't necessarily some sort of trump card when we have no idea exactly when or how SJM plans on introducing what happened in the CC into the ACOTAR series or when the next ACOTAR book will start on the timeline. The crossover doesn't eliminate the very real threats they were facing in their world in SF and if people are saying that she can "shelve" Elain and Lucien's stories regardless of the buildup they had in books 1, 2, 3 (etc), then why can't Az's story also be temporarily shelved regardless of the page time he got in SF / the crossover so she can first tell us Elucien's story and take us to other courts outside of the NC? Wouldn't the series ending in the NC make the most sense?

Shouldn't they deal with threats on their own world before they really start worrying about threats from outside their world?

💙🖤 John Wick x Santino D'Antonio Ship Overview/Analysis 🖤💙

I did this for Santino and Michael in my crossover stuff and now I want to do this for Santino and John as well!!

So, why are they so compelling?

Canon divergence AUs for this ship are full of possibilities because we have so many moments in the timeline to choose from. They knew each other in the early days of John's work, but that is left completely open-ended so it's very fun to explore that time period. What if they never split up? And if they did split up, then they had some period of Santino presumably pining for John after the Impossible Task (angst!!) and then they were reunited. It's easy to imagine a world in which that reunion went differently and one of them showed the other a lot more compassion - what if Santino hadn't betrayed John? What if Santino had thrown away his marker as a sacrifice to show John how much he loves him? What if John had ACTUALLY refused to kill Gianna, even after his house was blown up? What if John had forgiven Santino instead of shooting him? I haven't written all of these possibilities yet because there are just so many.

Although a lot of people assume that they're toxic with one another (continuously fighting, stalking, taking revenge on each other, etc.), they can also be written as an exploration of anger management and conflict resolution in a way that's very sweet. John's careful emotional control and devotion allows him to be patient with Santino and make him feel safe enough to express his pain through means other than violence. Santino's stubbornness can be put towards a determination not to hurt or control John. They demonstrate a seemingly miraculous victory of love over possessive rage - but a victory which is actually won through a lot of hard work and emotional growth.

Their sexual dynamic is SO HOT. Messy brat constantly teases stoic dom. Need I say more? No, but I will. It's not just that Santino is teasing John, it's that he feels safe enough to tease John. He wants to know 1 - that John is strong enough to put him in his place, and to just feel and enjoy John' power. And 2 - that John actually going to be gentle and forgiving with him no matter what he does. He watches John shove him around, manhandle him, do kinky stuff with him...but never actually traumatize him the way that he was traumatized growing up, no matter how much Santino annoys him. It's this constant proof that he is loved.

And then the hurt/comfort dynamic!!! Santino keeps poking at John there too. He ignores his health, he pushes himself to the limit, he gets into reckless situations. It's like he's constantly asking John, "Do I even matter? Do I even deserve to be saved?" And John is constantly stepping in, saying, "Yes, you do." I adore this even more when John gives him long-term solutions - things he can do instead of self-harming, routines that help him fix his sleep schedule, help getting off of his addictions.

And how about John's role in all this? He sees himself express tenderness. He sees that he is capable of that. He learns that he is capable of patience, that he is not just a killer. Every time Santino pushes him and he doesn't push back, every time that they playfight and it doesn't turn to real fighting, John begins to trust himself slightly more. And when Santino expresses concern for him, and turns his own caretaking back on John, John has to learn to value his own life as well.

So Santino and John both slow heal. A beautiful recovery arc is at the core of the John x Santino ship and I love that for them.

As soon as it was confirmed that SJM or her editor cut the threesome scene from Acosf, I knew exactly what SJM had planned. People were saying that SJM cut it “because of complicated emotions”, which they thought it would be between Nesta and Gwyn. As much as Gwyn was a new friend to Nesta, must we remind this fandom how much Nesta REALLY loves Elain?? It seems like we need to. Nesta loved Gwyn, but I would wager she loves Elain more and endlessly because she is literally her sister. Personally, I am more afraid of complicated emotions between sisters than two friends that literally just meet. Nesta and Gwyn barely knew each other. lol. And Nesta was a bitch to Gwyn (at least at the start), so why would she immediately feel a sense of loyalty toward Gwyn?? What do you think?

So my view on this has always been that it's much less about ships, and much more about the dynamics between Nesta/Cassian/Azriel.

I think that part of it has to do with Elain--because like, if you are writing about Nesta noticing things happening between Elain and Azriel, then why are you banging him? It just doesn't make sense in the context of what SJM was writing. Like if you are saying Azriel hadn't slept for a year and has been avoiding Elain, then inserting a threesome with him and her sister is probably not the smartest thing to do.

However, i've always believed that the whole removal of the threesome (which, I think, was either a dream or a vision or something, and was never written as an actual thing that happened between the 3 of them) had more to do with the evolution of Nesta's and Azriel's relationship.

Obviously we didn't know it back then, but we now know that Nesta and Azriel were the ones to deal with Bryce, hang out with her and be responsible for dealing with the crossover for 80% of the time. I think the awkwardness of having had that scene in ACOSF would've seeped into the relationship between Nesta and Azriel. I think it WOULD be awkward if SJM took it too far, included a scene where Nesta gets railed by her mate and his brother, and then was sent underground with said brother-in-law.

It gives the same ick as if Feyre had sex with Cassian at some point. We'd always be like, ewww. He is now mated to your sister, and you had sex with Rhys's brother....

It's too much?

It's the same situation with Nesta. Even what was included in the book is kind of...iffy. Because we KNOW that she and Cassian are mates. So it's like, what are you doing? But anything beyond that would've really screwed up the overall dynamic of the IC and the relationships of everyone involved.

Yeah, sometimes, as an author, you really wanna write filthy smut. But then you also need to pull back and say, does this work for the book and the story? And if not, you should remove it.

13. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? Lovers Live & Die Fortissimo. It's such a long fic, and there's so much to it; I'm not sure I could do the religious aspects of it justice. I really want to write it, but there are other brain worms that are calling to me first. Also shout out to my Nagron fic "That Days We thought We'd Never See," which got dropped like a hot potato when college hit the fan and I'd need to rewatch the whole show and possibly rewrite the whole thing if I were to ever attempt to finish it.

14. What are your writing strengths? I feel like I can write the dichotomy of beauty and pain really well. There's such a balance between the two, and being able to capture the small beautiful or peaceful pieces of something horrific is something I pride myself on.

15. What are your writing weaknesses?  Definitely the technical side of writing. There are some things that I feel like I don't understand yet grammar wise that I'm still trying to get a grasp on. This is a constant learning process, but I try and get better each time I post! I also sometimes struggle with follow through, but I chalk that up to life being hectic and this being a passion not a job.

16. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? I think it's such an amazing idea, and I would love to do it if I ever had a language I felt I knew well enough I could properly engage with it. I never want to write something that is inaccurate out of respect, so I haven't written in another language yet. I also have never had a fic call for it yet. Maybe LL&DF would call for it thought, possibly some Yiddish or Arabic.

18. Favorite fic you’ve written? Again, I refuse to pick just one. I love "All Things End" for everything it represents: the bittersweet nature of life and death, the relationships, the exploration of how music can influence reading fic and vice versa.

I love "Finding His Shadow: An Azris Peter Pan AU" because it was the first AU's I wrote, and it digs so deep into both source materials. I was giddy finding ways to merge the two worlds together.

And I love "Take These Broken Wings" because it combines fanfic with social impact and social awareness, using a world we know and love to explore important topics that exist both within canon and our society.

Jason finds him and he fits into his palm, what do you think je would do ?

So this is an interesting scenario that I have a lot of thoughts on. I'm rolling with the idea that Tim is a borrower who, through some kind of tech, is able to appear human-sized, and Jason managed to disable technology due to some kind of comic books magic/sci-fi logic. (This snowballed quite a bit than I intended so I'm putting it under a "read more" lol. Also warning for sappiness because I'm incapable of writing any kind of angst or hurt without a heaping pile of fluff to finish it off.)

Assuming that Jason had no idea about Tim's identity, I think, first and foremost, he'd be extremely befuddled? Logic might dictate that he's using size-changing technology to become small and escape, but that can't be the case, because Jason just disabled all of the technology around them, as evidenced by the lights having gone dark around them. So that could only mean that the opposite is true: Tim was using tech to be bigger than he actually is, which means he's naturally as small as he is now, and Jason just...struggles to wrap his mind around that for a moment.

And then, I think something clicks - maybe Jason found out about borrowers at some point, or maybe his mom told him stories of tiny people who live in the walls and floorboards and survive by "borrowing" scraps from humans. Maybe he used to leave out bits and pieces overnight, taken from his own plate, and wake up to see them gone. And I think it that moment, the full weight of what he's doing really clicks.

Because when Jason set out to the Tower, he knew, to some extent, he was going to be hurting a teenager. But to him, it was also the best way to get through Bruce's thick skull that he's back, that he's angry he wasn't memorialized like the other fallen Titans, that Bruce put another kid in that costume despite the fact that the last one died alone and unavenged. There's a whole host of reasons Jason decides to do what he does.

But I think, seeing Tim now much more defenseless than before, the full weight of his actions catches up with him. He can't bring himself to go forwards with this anymore - he's still angry, possibly even more so now at Bruce for putting someone with such a glaring vulnerability into danger every night, but no matter how much he tries to warp his anger-fueled logic he can't find it in him to hurt him.

So, instead, he decides to abandon ship and get out of there as fast as he can. He's not really ready to have a heart-to-heart with Tim, especially not when up until a few minutes ago he'd been planning on fighting him.

Tim, however, does not like that. Red Hood's appearance raised more questions than it answered (we'll also say this happened before Jason did his dramatic reveal, so Tim still has no idea who he is). He's somewhat encouraged by the fact that he apparently gave up un beating Tim up, so he makes the very unwise snap decision to stow with Hood, somehow (for the sake of things, maybe he brought an easily-accessible bag with him lol), without Hood knowing.

So Red Hood returns to a safehouse to regroup and switch gears. He takes off his helmet and peels off his domino and then hears a very tiny gasp and sees a very tiny figure crawling out of his bag. He's frustrated, at first, but Tim ropes Jason into a conversation, and Jason reluctantly allows this. He's got some questions for Tim, too, after all, and Tim answers honestly. When he hears about how Batman had been acting after Tim's death, and how Tim had really never intended to replace him, Jason finds himself beginning to understand, just a little bit more. He's still upset and angry, about a lot of things, but he's finding it harder and harder to be angry at Tim.

Tim encourages Jason to go home, but Jason staunchly refuses. He's not ready for that yet. Tim points out that he at least needs to take Tim back to the Manor for the night because that's where he lives and he's kind of stranded in Jason's safehouse now. Jason counters by letting Tim use one of his burners to call the Manor and get someone to pick him up, which would give Jason ample time to get out of there. Tim reluctantly agrees.

So Jason makes to leave, after having Tim call Alfred, but he can't find it in himself to really leave, so he lurks as discreetly as he can across the street, just so he can confirm that Tim gets picked up safely. And he does - Alfred pulls up, Jason feels an immense wave of Emotions seeing him, but stubbornly remains in hiding until Alfred pulls away.

So that should be the end of things, except it's not. Tim goes home and blabs to the entire Batfamily that Jason is alive and the Red Hood and that he'd actually been pretty nice to Tim, all things considered. And Bruce, Alfred, Babs, and Dick, encouraged by Tim, decide that they absolutely will not rest until they reconcile with Jason.

Jason should've known that Tim finding out his identity would have led to being stalked relentlessly by several vigilantes and a butler, but it doesn't make it any less annoying. (But he finds that he's minding it less and less when Nightwing swoops in to incapacitate the goon who had been about to get a lucky shot on him, when a plate of homemade cookies is left at the doorstep of one of his favorite safehouses, when Oracle manages to weasel her way onto his private comm line to tell him a dumb joke, when he catches a glimpse of a hulking shadow watching him as he's patching himself up after a long night, when Robin - now back at human-size - drops by to crash in one of his safehouses after a grueling patrol. And little by little, he makes his way home.)

I've got a tiny Hannibal fic up, one solitary M*A*S*H that had been a request of one of my besties (and that was definitely enough and I love that show), and there's a Contrarywise/Trickster's Touch ficlet up. Oh yeah, and I have a few Bill and Ted fics up and some other random old stuff that I finally stuck on my AO3 (Lost Boys, From Hell)

Always. First off, it's so rare these days to get comments because of all the reasons/excuses people give for not leaving comments on fics that to get comments is such a treasure and joy, so of course, I'm going to comment back. Second, if some of those reasons/excuses are true (shyness, anxiety, awkwardness) then I'm doubly grateful for the people who do comment - esp if they are commenting while anxious/shy/awkward - that I want to make sure they realize that their comments are appreciated and that they are not bothering me with their comments. Though I still don't understand that concern. If a writer doesn't want comments on their fics, they'll set it up so that no one will comment. If we've got our comments open, we want comments and you're never bothering us with them.

I don't think so. Given how wildly unpopular I seem to be as a writer, I can't imagine anyone wanting to steal what I've written.

I mean, that's just the Marvel list, and it's not even a complete one. There's also Steve Harrington/Eddie Munson, and so many others from other fandoms that I may not write for but I like to read.

Apparently humor, Easter Eggs, dialogue, fluff, sexy times, and making people hungry by including food into so many fics.

9. what are your writing weaknesses?

World building if I'm having to create a world from scratch. I can do it, but it's a lot of work and then I get stressed. I used to world-build in rp writing with my former roommate, and when we quit writing, I thought I might take some of our old rps and turn them into og fiction, but there are some that are so wildly extensive in the world building that I will probably stick to re-reading them and not actually trying to re-write them into og fiction.

10. first fandom you wrote for?

If we're talking the first time I ever wrote fanfiction without knowing that fanfiction was a word, that'd be the Children of the Corn fanfic I wrote when I was 12-13. It was in pencil, and it was big time Mary Sue, and I don't even have it anymore because over many decades, the pencil faded/smudged, and I'm pretty sure I tossed it into the trash. (It was sooooooooooooooooooo bad.) The first fandom I was in once I knew what fanfiction was - Jay and Silent Bob. Yes, I still have those fics, and no they aren't posted anywhere, and they won't be. With the exception of a Loki series fic I wrote that has a tiny crossover with Dogma (that was called a therapy fic), I won't go back to that fandom.

Do you respond to comments?

Yes! Well, I try to. It sometimes gets a little bit overwhelming, especially at the beginning when there's an influx. But they're all so wonderful.

What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

I haven't written anything with an angsty ending. I don't think I have it in me 😅

(Unless you count one shots in a series, in which case it's What Am I Going To Do? But that's part of a whole universe that does have a happy ending, so I'm not counting it - although when I posted there was no promise of a continuation of the story, so it was angsty for a while).

What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

All my fics have happy endings. But I think they all feel like it's a happy ending to that particular part of their story, and will go on to be more after.

Do you get hate on fics?

I haven't as of yet. I still can't really believe that's a thing that happens.

Do you write smut?

No. And the longer I go on, the more I wonder if I should. But then again, I wrote a whole fic that was basically about hooking up without it, so maybe I'll be fine never writing it.

Yes! I had The Umbrella translated into Russian and uploaded to ficbook.

What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I have a folder full of WIP documents, most of which are just a line or a few sentences scribbled down. Some scenes, some ideas. I doubt they'll all get written, but lots get pulled for other things. And Wille's Month made me dust some of them off and either expand on them or just publish as they were.

But as for actual WIPs that I'm actively working on, I haven't got one that I don't think I'll finish. Once I start, I kind of get to the end by whatever means necessary 😅 Even if it takes me ages.

What are your writing strengths?

Erm... horrible question 😅. Dialogue? Maybe? I don't know. Someone else would have to answer that for me. I think I have a very skewed view of my own writing based on what I do and don't like doing.

What are your writing weaknesses?

Also horrible question, for very different reasons. Repetition probably. When I have something I just need to get down, I stop paying as much attention to how I'm saying things (what words I'm using, how I'm structuring sentences etc). But luckily @iwouldnevergetintofanfic is pretty good at catching it.

Thoughts on dialogue in another language?

It depends. I am not fluent, or even passable really, in any languages other than English. I'm not averse to dropping the odd word in, but in general I write the English translation (since they're speaking in Swedish anyway). I also discovered that the grammar rules are different, so ended up changing a load of stuff back to English in one fic because I wasn't sure which grammar rules to use.

Young Royals.

Favourite fic you've written?

I don't know. I like certain ones for different reasons.

Where We Left Off was a massive undertaking. It's over twice as long as the next longest thing I've written (still not long by 'long fic' standards) and I was writing it for nearly a year. (And I'm not sure I'll ever write something that long again, that's not really how my brain works).

See You (Soon) was the first one where I felt like I knew what I was doing, and I think I will always be very fond of it.

I loved the process of writing Making Music, because it was a gift for a dear friend @purplehoodiesandclementines.

But I love them all in different ways 💜

Do you respond to comments? Yes. I am a bit behind at the moment but yes. Yes yes yes. I love engaging with my readers. I will reply and will probably give you a fun fact about my writing process even if you didn't ask for it. I love stalking my readers' AO3 profiles. If you comment and you write GO fic, there's a good chance I will add a fic of yours to my Marked for Later.

What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Hands down "A Walk in the Woods." (It's a Sherlock fic.)

What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Oh gosh. I write mostly happy endings. Probably the sappiest is "We Can't Keep Meeting Like This." I did not hold back on the sap for that ending

Do you get hate on fics? Not recently. A couple of times on my Sherlock fics, but never on my GO fics. I feel incredibly fortunate

Craziest crossover: Craziest and only: "Gate Duty," which is Good Omens crossed-over with The Good Place. I'm really proud of this fic. Actually I think about it a lot.

What's a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will? I have a BBC Sherlock WIP that I was feral for once upon a time but idk if I could jump back in deep enough to that ship to finish it. It's an undercover spy thriller about how John was actually Sherlock's MI6 handler while Sherlock brought down Moriarty's network. Except Sherlock never knew it was John "handling" him...

What are your writing strengths? Er... Yes OK porn but listen, I cannot write pwp to save my life, my porn HAS to have plot or it just doesn't work for me. I need to be INVESTED, ya know

What are your writing weaknesses? Humor. People who can write humor are sorcerers. Geniuses. I bow to them.

Thoughts on dialogue in another language? Writing it or reading it? I only speak English fluently so... 😬
