I can also reveal that the most popular prompts of each list were cross dressing, with 15 votes (to the shock of no one 😂), and drunk, with 12 votes.

So, what do we do next? Well, we need to agree on a week that will actually be Complete Bastards Week, like, officially. It shouldn't be too far away, but not too close either - we need to give people a hot second to actually create for this! Let me know if you guys want it to be before or after Christmas. I know the next few months are typically a busy time, so maybe this could be something to brighten up gloomy January? Let me know what you're thinking!

Some simple guidelines:

*Each day will be represented by a single prompt (one from each list in this case), but it doesn't really matter if you don't end up posting what you make to its allotted day. Posting at all is what counts!

*You don't have to commit to doing all seven if you're too busy or not all of them appeal to you.

*You can fill out all NSFW prompts, all SFW prompts, or a mix of both!

*Try to tag anything you post #complete bastards week so I can reblog it to a blog for curating this event (@completebastardsweek). Tagging the blog when you post would be a good idea too - especially if you make something NSFW, as Tumblr keeps hiding NSFW stuff from the tags. Of course, I'll mostly check the tags the week of the actual event, but I'll be keeping a cursory eye on things before and after, in case we have any early birds/latecomers.

*It goes without saying, but feel free to post whatever you make elsewhere too!

*You can make work for any of the shows/films featuring our favourite bastards. Feel free to stage crossovers too, if that's your thing! All ships (including X Reader and OCs) are welcome, as are no ships at all. Go mad!

I'll make another post with a fancypants graphic assigning the prompts to the days of the week once we've settled on a week. Thank you once again to everyone who voted! I hope some of the prompts you picked won and ideas are coming to you. 😊

Hello hello! Happy TYO Easter c: Lookie here, I made a post xD

This piece is for the @rikandadefest 2024 :) @neil-neil-orange-peel 's prompt of "Vim Fuego playing Mary Hopkin numbers in a wine bar, unsatisfied with life but still stubbornly (and, some could say, in delusional fashion) convinced he's going to make it big in the music world." was just too good to pass up.

I still want someone to create a fic for this prompt though, because it is hilariously immaculate.

Anyways, I hope you guys like this little drawing of Vim :) Of course I was going to make him sing Mary Hopkins' number one hit xD It's too good! And the idea of Vim singing it (probably more upbeat and screaming into the mic) is CHEF'S KISS!

Rik and Ade Fest 2024

And now for a fourth year running: it's the Rik and Ade Fest! We've been trying to get your attention for the past 10 weeks, so hopefully you're listening! Give this blog a follow NOW to stay up to date as this year's fest progresses. Right on!

As usual, you can submit up to 3 prompts for fanart and/or fanfic for any piece of media featuring Rik and/or Ade. Also, as usual, you don't need to commit to making art or fic later to submit a prompt. We need more prompts than participants!

PLEASE READ THIS BIT! 🚨

Unusually, there's an extra rule in place for prompts this year. We're asking you to please not send in any prompts for The Young Ones or Bottom - just for this year! Next year, you can go mad!

Why are we asking this of you? Is it just that we're bastards? Well, we've noticed an (unsurprising) bias towards these two shows throughout fests, so we're trying to give Rik and Ade's lesser known/popular media a chance.

If you do accidentally submit a TYO or Bottom prompt this year, never fear! We won't be adding it to the prompt list this time, but we will hold on to it and add it next year. As well as this, all the previous unclaimed prompts for TYO and Bottom will still be available for artists and writers to claim and make work for this year.

But anyway, here's the ol' reliable Google Form for submissions. It will be open from today (23rd March) until 1st April.

We are aware our fanart books currently have broken links. This is a recent occurrence. Ao3 cannot host pictures, so all fests' art is hosted elsewhere. We're looking for a new host site and may have to contact certain past artists for their art again once one is found. We intend to have this issue fixed before this year's fest is revealed in June. We apologise if this discourages artists from participating, though we would always encourage you to share your art on Tumblr, Instagram, or elsewhere too once a fest is revealed, in any case.
