This poster was designed in 2015 for my good friends and partners at the RHZ, Timmy Vilgiate and Colin Bovberg. At the time, Timmy Vigilate was performing under the moniker Timothy and the Vigilantes. Colin Bovberg had founded Weathervein to perform his solo work with a full band, The Epic Weatherman—a project that eventually evolved into his current full-band project, Ozonic. The venue, The Exchange, remains one of my favorite places in Colorado Springs.

for those who would like to support Palestinian olive farmers, equal exchange has Palestine-sourced olive oil! they're an amazing worker owned co-op that works closely with local farmers to support sustainability and pay fair wages.

i frankly cannot afford it, but i know some folks can and would like to get some. it comes in packs of 6 bottles, so if you can get 6 friends together, each person can pay for one bottle!

they also have some of the most delicious coffee and hot cocoa mixes that i've ever gotten, and the same approach applies. given how horrific farming and labor practices are in both of those industries, i highly recommend supporting them and getting some amazing products in return if you can afford it.

some kind of. miscellaneous conversation sometime during ac3?? this was actually part of a much longer scene that went in a more serious direction than I originally planned once I started drawing it. I ended up starting over, but I couldnt bring myself to delete the pages I had already started (which is why the dialogue's a little janky bc I decided to redo it before I got to the lettering stage RIP) so I cleaned them up a bit to post :') get some sleep, desmond.

Sam and Dean don't work with so many fan fiction tropes because they're just too weird. If Sam and Dean woke up handcuffed together, they already stand so close they probably wouldn't even notice. If there was 'only one bed' left in the motel room, they would probably fight obnoxiously over who would take the floor/couch for fifteen minutes before agreeing to just share the bed. And the whole time they'd be trying to give the other more of the blanket/space on the bed because they're just so weird. In a fuck or die situation, Sam and Dean would have no qualms about it whatsoever. Honestly they would probably pop a stiffy from being able to lend their body to ensure the other's survival at their own expense. Like, that's just how they are in the show. Fake dating? These two already act like an old married couple. If they started acting like they were dating, they would barely have to play anything up or do anything different. They're just that weird. Like, I'm telling you. Fan fiction tropes and Sam and Dean don't work. Because they're just so, so weird.

Don't tell Grian, but Jimmy's favorite part of the day is when a certain customer sweeps into their cafe. He never shows up at the same time but always in the same way: disheveled, squinting against the sunlight, redstone smudged into his clothes, heavy gloves tucked into his back pocket.

Tango stares up at the menu. Jimmy desperately tries not to seem nervous. He fails miserably, wings smacking into Grian despite his attempts to settle them against his back.

Tango steps up to the register and grins up at Jimmy, all sharp teeth and candlelight hair, and says, “Hi Rancher,”

In all seriousenes, it was abt time I monetized the only skill I have so!!In case you have a spare cent lying around, and like my art (even though I've been on a small decline lately, blame the graduation stress) and feel like it, please throw it my way so I will have something in my pocket while looking for an actual job

Elain Archeron Cookie Exchange, Part 2!

Thanks again to @elainarcheronweek for creating such a wholesome event! I have so many new recipes to try!

Coffee Cake cookies are below!

I made these cookies for my dissertation prospectus defense, and I passed! These cookies are adapted from the palatable life, and are a cinnamon brown sugar cookie with a cinnamon crumble and vanilla icing drizzled on top!

COOKIES

1/2 cup butter softened (113 g)

1/2 cup vegetable oil (100 g)

1 cup brown sugar (215 g)

1 large egg

1 tsp vanilla

2 tsp cinnamon

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (325 grams)

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

CRUMBLE

1/4 cup butter softened (56 g)

1/4 cup brown sugar (54 g)

1/2 cup flour (65 g) (I live in a humid place, you might need less!)

3/4 tsp cinnamon

pinch of salt

ICING

1/2 cup powdered sugar (56 g)

1 tbsp milk

splash of vanilla

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat the oven to 350 F. To make the dough, combine the butter, oil and brown sugar. Mix for a couple minutes until it is smooth. The mixture should be lighter in color and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla and mix again.

In a separate bowl, combine flour, cinnamon, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together to evenly incorporate.

Add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients. Mix until just combined.

To make the streusel, combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix with a spoon or your hand. Start with 1/3 cup of flour. The mixture should stick together, but should also crumble when you run it through your fingers. If it isn't crumbling, add 1 tbsp additions of flour until it crumbles, up to roughly a 1/2 cup of flour. If you live in a humid place, like me, it might take a little more flour than a 1/2 cup to make it work!

Using a large cookie scoop, scoop a ball of dough onto a lined baking sheet, at least 3 inches (7.5 cm) apart. These are large cookies, and they will spread.

Using the back of your cookie scoop or your fingers, make an indent on the top of the dough. Sprinkle a couple tablespoons of the streusel on the top of the cookie, into the indent.

Bake the cookies at 350 for 10-12 minutes. Let sit on the baking sheet for at least 2-5 minutes, and then transfer to a wire rack.

While the last batch is baking, you can make the icing. Combine the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla in a small bowl and whisk until it's smooth and runny. If you like more icing, I’d double the recipe.

Once the cookies have cooled slightly, drizzle on lots of icing! Enjoy!

group projects are the worst. hell of earth. my worst nightmare.

i thought i was getting better in social settings but no. ofc not.

i messed up. not even big time messing up so i can have legit reason to mope about it. ofc not. i said no to one group and now ppl are upset at me and that. is such a horrible feeling. it's such a tiny reason for such catastrophic feelings.

why is my mind like this girl you're not even failing a single class you score better than most it's just that a few ppl might not like you for a while. you're academic career isn't free falling chill

suicide jokes ain't fun and all, but i srsly feel like flinging myself down a river and becoming one with the fish rn. literally. running away from the situation is the only thing that will solve this.
