Thoughts on Naruto live action movie which is going to directed by shang chi's director?

Look, Destin is a fantastic director. If we were to believe movie series who’ve had director changes in between then it is a fact that the director alone has major influence on the quality of it. I’m pretty sure-if we can reference Shang-Chi at all or the writing for the Glass Castle and assume he has the resources he need- that he can make the movie look awesome.

As great as it may look in the end… who asks for this!? It’ll exist solely for the fact that Hollywood is too damn lazy to write their own stories and hardly ever want to take the risk of introducing something new because people rarely have the patience these days to engage with that which they don’t know anything about. The company thinks they'll excite the fans with Destin's vision, but when did that ever happen? I am curious though about Kishimoto's 'input'. Apparently they're going to somewhat cooperate during the production progress. That in itself doesn't say much as it's overseen by many others- we'll see I guess ;-; Can't say I have much hope for it, or at all actually. It's a recipe for disaster and disappointment. The script is rewritten never with the amount of thematic care the original creator poured in. *shrugs* if it's not necessary or you can't improve it, then just leave it alone ffs.

tbh i would have loved a minecraft movie where the world was visibly updating around steve and alex as they explore. like, the first couple days have the old textures and their movement is laggy etc.

it takes a little while for the audience to notice, but as the days go by, there are more mobs and new trees and the movements of everything is smoother. and suddenly everything is so much more colourful than it was before and now the oceans have life, and the villages are huge, and the nether is full of biodiversity and the caves are enormous and theres something lurking at the bottom

and throughout the movie, you can see the odd character in the background of youtubers that started playing during whatever version it is at that point, and when we reach 1.20 all of a sudden alex and steve run into this group of people and its all the new character skins that were introduced at that point

idk its a shame we get something that visibly didnt have much thought put into it aside from 'lets make jumanji again but this time its minectaft' when there are so many possibilities that have so much more interest

i genuinely dont care if the creation of all media comes to a screeching halt btw i will very gladly live with no new movies no new tv shows no new anything for years if that's what it takes for the people who create them to be treated like human beings. i hope every other facet of the entertainment industry goes on strike too and i hope all the ones that havent unionised yet will. i want media creation to become completely impossible and i want the people who could make it possible again to hold out until they get every single thing they want. btw
