Frankly, Edwin should go with the Cat King and Charles stay with Crystal. It's my opinion. The chemistry between Edwin and the Cat King is crazy and it's not just the sexual attraction aspect that comes into play in their relationship. It is also the discovery of oneself, and of accepting ourselves completely as we are. Edwin says that he and the Cat King are alike because they are both lonely, yet it is important to note that Edwin has had Charles by his side for years, yet he visibly feels alone, even as he finally confesses the romantic feelings that tormented him. Not to mention the Cat King who gives Edwin poisonous flowers for himself. This last interaction is so good between Catwin. Their relationship has depth and great importance in Edwin's life. It could also make for such an epic romance, let's not lie.

I feel like we're glossing over the fact that the Cat King literally died for Edwin. Because he warned Edwin about Monty and got his paws dirty for Edwin to protect him. It's probably the first time the Cat King has ever thought about another person before, in a selfless way.

Also here are some of my favorite lines of his.

"Because it gives me more time with you." To Edwin with hearts in his eyes.

"Edwin has been through more pain than you or I could ever imagine." To Esther.

"Hey! Keep your paws off of him." To Esther, even after she took one of his lives.

"Do not thank me. I already hate myself enough for ever caring about that thin, stuffy, little British tease." To Niko and Crystal.

Actually obsessed with the fact that we get a scene where the cat king threatens to not play nice anymore with Edwin and the literal next scene we get of Thomas is him telling Esther to fuck off and leave Edwin alone. Like that was the perfect opportunity to offer a deal to Esther for his own life, to work with her against Edwin in exchange for leaving him alone. But he didn’t. He stood up for Edwin the best he could and even lost a life for it. Granted a good chunk of that beating was because he warned Edwin about Esther to begin with but still. On top of it even knowing Edwin could be gone for another 70 years or even forever, he still didn’t try to make a deal and save his own ass.

Edwin: *pulls out a spray bottle full of water*

The Cat King: .... *visibly nervous*

Edwin: ....
