i’ve talked about this before but i just LOVE the sheer potential of a james-sirius-severus trio?? especially with the three of them in the same hogwarts house.

they’re all geniuses and they’re all feral and they’re all a bit cruel. they’re canonically SO smart it’s annoying. they become animagi three months after first opening a book about it—not for remus necessarily, but just because the three of them are bored and wanted to challenge themselves (severus becomes a fruit bat and sirius suggest they call him ‘count snapula’). they’re inventing new spells left and right by their fourth year. the map is more interactive than it is in canon because they just really enjoyed continuing to tweak and improve it as they continued to learn.

having (at least) two frighteningly loyal Boy Buds behind him, one of whom has incredible parents, severus doesn’t end up falling down the far-right pipeline. severus also never ends up losing lily, so he’s not particularly bothered by james and sirius’ soulmate-ish behaviour. he gets included in their shenanigans so much that it’s rather stifling anyway, and he invents muffliato solely because their dormmates are completely done with the unhinged, evil cackling coming from their side of the room when they’re figuring out a new prank.

the potters are a safe haven for severus, just like they are for sirius; and severus adores his mum, he really does, but after she dies young the potters are the people he flees to. euphemia hugs him and kisses his temple, takes him into the backyard to practice duelling. fleamont is ecstatic to have a potions prodigy under his roof and they spend many a days brewing away. james doesn’t mind, is happy to share with sev and later sirius, then gets infuriatingly smug when lily visits and emerges from the potions lab with flushed cheeks and bright eyes, because i bloody told you she’d love my old man, sev, didn’t i? (no james, i told you that)

i’m not entirely sure where remus and peter fit into this au, mainly because i imagine that this trio is more possible if james and sirius are sorted into slytherin and i don’t think remus and peter would willingly end up there. i also don’t want to ‘replace’ remus with severus here; they’re very different people, though fanon!remus is similar to how i imagine severus here.

regardless, harry (should he come to exist) ends up with another uncle—reluctant, yes, and strict as all hell, but endlessly protective. also nobody dies because sirius and severus together? nothing will happen to james and lily.

like?? i think those three would’ve made such a good fit under different circumstances. both sev and sirius have an acerbic sense of humour, and james seems to have that as well. sirius is shown to respect intelligence, something that sev has in spades. the three of them as friends is, from the outside, just a rapid-fire exchange of witty barbs, interwoven with academic theories and seemingly devastating insults. nobody understands how they became friends because james is so annoying and sirius looks so mean and severus seems to dislike literally everyone, but they are friends and not one person can do anything about that.

if they’d joined forces they would’ve been unstoppable. voldemort is annoyed that they won’t join him. dumbledore is annoyed that they won’t listen to his orders, because apparently they ‘know better than him’. severus calls lucius an unbearable pasty white slug during a battle and james, hyped up on adrenaline, cackles so uncontrollably sirius has to yank him out of the way of spellfire. they’re that ‘on a leash’ meme in no particular order and it’s so great

Komi Can't Communicate au? Where Yata is Komi Shoko and Saruhiko is Tadano HitoHito? (Well, semi-Tadano, not completely since they have two different personalities, but I think you understand what I mean)

Fushimi is literally the absolute worst person to help someone else make 100 friends though XD Maybe what Yata really wants though is to just make one really good friend — sure, he’d like to have a whole bunch of friends that he could run around and have fun with, but if even just one guy could be his friend that would be enough. Say in this case Yata’s communication disorder issue is that initially at least he couldn’t keep his mouth shut, he just blurted out everything he felt. Initially this got him a lot of friends among other kids who admired Yata for being so tough and talking back to bullies, but then when his mom gets remarried and he switches schools it becomes a handicap. People start bullying and shunning him and it gets so bad that Yata becomes afraid to even open his mouth, always worried that he’ll say the wrong thing and everyone will start to ostracize him again.

His parents switch him to another school for high school and Yata thinks maybe this won’t be too bad, since no one knows him here. He still can’t really talk though, just sitting in silence while other kids ignore him. I feel like Yata would be kinda overlooked in this case, just that short kid with nothing special about him, and instead people in class are all gossiping about this other quiet kid with a pretty face. Except when people talk to Fushimi he responds to them with acid remarks and tongue clicks and Yata secretly thinks that it’s kinda cool isn’t it, the way Fushimi doesn’t care what other people think.

One day the class needs two people to stay behind to clean, Yata is chosen because he can’t speak up to say no. The class also chooses Fushimi, laughing all ‘you don’t mind staying late right.’ Fushimi clicks his tongue and the rest of the class leaves, Yata’s there all nervous because he doesn’t know what to do. He’s frustrated but he can’t say anything so he just starts cleaning, which is when he hears another tongue click. Fushimi says he doesn’t care about idiots, but if it upsets Yata so much he should have said so. Yata laughs nervously and tries to say that it’s fine but his voice won’t come out. Fushimi looks at him for a moment and then gets up and walks to the chalkboard. He says staying quiet in front of others is stupid, if Yata wants to yell he should yell, and if he can’t yell then write it at least. Yata stares at him blankly and Fushimi says he doesn’t want to be stuck cleaning with a guy who just gives up in front of others, so write what you can’t say. Otherwise Yata can clean quietly after all and Fushimi will go home, because why should he work with a shorty who can’t even muster an argument.

Yata feels this sudden burst of anger and imagine him grabbing the chalk and writing ‘I’M NOT A SHORTY’ on the board in big messy letters. Fushimi scoffs all yes you are and suddenly it’s like the floodgates have opened, Yata writing about how angry he is and how annoying Fushimi is and if you’re so smart why didn’t you stand up when they made you clean, why do we have to listen to those guys, next time Yata will just skip cleaning and see how they like that. He throws the chalk down in frustration but then looks up when he hears someone else writing, Fushimi with a slight smirk as he writes ‘yeah, worthless guys like that are annoying, when they make other people do all the work just because we aren’t all uselessly friendly.’ Yata laughs at that and writes ‘you’re a weird guy,’ Fushimi responds with his own ‘so are you.’ Suddenly they’re both writing all over the board, complaints about school and their classmates and everything. Yata finds himself smiling widely for the first time in a long time as he writes ‘hey, you’re really cool!’, and he thinks maybe he saw Fushimi give the smallest smile reading it.

and as for these two in particular… knight!reader has known knight!sugu since they were kids, he helped them train, he bullies them but its friendly and warm and he acts kind of like a teasing older brother. there’s just so much trust between them. and i think knight!reader would honestly relax more around sugu than they do w gojo, because there’s no power dynamic or title to make them question their own behaviour. knight!sugu is their coworker, their fellow knight, and also their friend — so i think they find his presence soothing. even if hes a dick sometimes

and i think they’re still each other’s go-to sparring partner to this day!! nothing more romantic than a friendly sword fight <33 patching each other up after <333 knight!sugu telling knight!reader to stop whining when he disinfects their cuts with a teasing smile, but his touch is gentle. so gentle they could fall asleep right there — and maybe they do… (suguru just sighs, mouthing a quiet what am i to do with you…? but he doesn’t wake them up. just carries them back to the castle with a small smile on his face.) What kind parents do you think GriffGuts would be? Any headcanons?

hmm there are a lot of possible variables here so I'll just go with a modern AU version where they still have similar hangups and childhood experiences, give or take all the death and destruction. Bc idk how they’d end up parenting a kid together in any sort of canon-adjacent scenario lol.

So I think Griff would lowkey be a bit of a helicopter parent, partly bc he throws himself into the things he decides he wants with 100% enthusiasm and partly because he was orphaned or whatever as a kid so maybe he’d go slightly too far in the opposite direction. I also think he’d be more likely to make and enforce rules and structure than Guts. He’d help the kids with their homework, ask about school, insist on meeting their friends, check out the media they’re consuming and talk about it with them, join the PTA, etc.

But at the same time he has a very live and let live attiude in canon - do what you want is like the first thing he says. So I figure he’d also be the type of parent who is generally honest with their kid about the real world and potential consequences of their actions etc but doesn’t like, get overly controlling about what they watch or when they hang out with friends or whatever.

So like, a parent who wants to be involved in his kids’ lives but also knows when to step back and let them do their own thing, I guess? Maybe leaning one way or the other to a negative extent sometimes, because let’s be real here neither of them would be perfect parents lol, though I do think they’d both be pretty good.

Also he’d read like 50 parenting books throughout the adoption process as his way of coping with being nervous about sucking as a parent. Like maybe at first, especially because he had a relatively parent-free childhood, he’d try really hard to overcompensate by learning how to do everything and trying way too hard. And maybe for a while each new development stage would spark a resurgence. Like maybe the eldest child especially would see him as a bit overbearing. (though honestly I might be exaggerating that a bit because Griff needs more flaws as a parent for it to be interesting lol)

Well another possible flaw for him I guess could be being a distant parent, if this is like a Golden Age equivalent where he’s obsessed with pursuing his career for emotionally fucked up reasons. Staying late at work, missing stuff, trying hard to balance everything but still prioritizing his career over family, etc, til he has the requisite romcom/good berserk AU realization that love is all you need.

Guts would be a fun parent who lets the kids slack off and eat ice cream instead of doing homework and plays soccer with them in the yard (not that Griffith wouldn’t also join in). He’d be a good listener, and he’d talk to the kids like little adults, which the kids would love. I also think Guts is more likely to be a stay at home parent, partly because lbr Griffith would most likely have the better paying job, and partly because he’s good at taking care of people when he wants to be. He’d be great at making kids’ lunches, driving them to school, etc.

Contrary to like... his canon interactions with the kids lol, I would like to think that Guts would have some issues with worrying he’ll become Gambino. At the same time I could easily see him parroting some of Gambino’s bad parenting decisions that he’s never questioned, like not taking the kids’ safety into high enough consideration, bribing them with gifts if they’re upset, thinking that like... idk schoolyard fighting or bullying might help make them tougher, stuff like that. Like maybe he’d be really cautious about losing his temper at them or talking down to them, and he’d miss the more subtle negative things he learned growing up, that never really registered as bad parenting. I like to think he’d recognize it and change those things after a while though. Have a few nice wholesome family sitcom esque moments where he realizes he’s been fucking up.

Griff would be better with the younger kids and Guts better with the teenagers, I wanna say, tho idk if I can really justify that.

Also I think they’d both be great at comforting the kids and making them feel better. Griff would have a good strong steady and empathetic presence that makes them feel like he gets it and can fix everything, and Guts would be great at listening and taking them seriously and giving casual friendly advice that doesn’t make the kids feel pressured but also makes them feel like he gets it and they can fix everything. Maybe that’s my justification for their preferred age ranges actually.

Just him leaning against his locker, sucking on his lollipop. Looks really sophisticated but isn’t. Isn’t really into relationships so he respectfully rejects whoever confesses to him. Average grades but manages to do his homework on time. Can make anything and everything look cool.

Jihoon

Senior. He’s popular too. A complete savage. News of his disses spread around the school like wildfire. Not a day goes by when he doesn’t brutally roast someone. Be it a student or teacher, no one’s safe from him. Always has his sleeves rolled up and flexes his muscles a lot. Likes to show off his strength because he worked so hard for it. Super extroverted but his closest friend is Junkyu. A lot of girls secretly have a crush on him because he’s cute but no one has the heart to confess to him in the fear that he’ll make fun of them. That’s why his locker’s always overflowing on valentine’s day. He’s confident and witty.

Yoshi

Senior. He’s the student that teachers always talk about because they want other kids to learn how to behave from him. Very respectful, not just of his teachers but also of other students. He’s not very popular, but people know who he is. He’s a part of the student council. A quiet boy who doesn’t really speak to someone he isn’t familiar with. Except for when he’s with his friends. Then he’s almost unrecognisable. He really neat and organised. But he has average grades. Seems kind of cold on the outside. Actually has a girl friend who everyone ships him with. But it’s useless because he’s already in a fix with a girl from his neighbourhood.

Junkyu

Senior. Jihoon’s best friend. That’s how everyone knows him. The only person who can diss Jihoon. So he’s very well known for it. Doesn’t readily talk to girls, even if they’re in his class. Posts singing covers on his instagram. But he doesn’t participate in any musical events at school. Is constantly embarrassing himself. Unexpectedly good at math. Had the biggest fattest crush on a girl in the next grade and even though she’s graduated now, he’s probably still not over her. So many freshman girls like him. A very energetic and optimistic person.

Mashiho

Junior. He’s short and everyone teases him for his height. But he doesn’t care and just goes along with it. Because why not? He’s always jumping on the staircase. Like he’s constantly making huge leaps down the stairs. Turns the class into his own parkour arena. Eats in class. Always has candy on him. All in all just a big foodie. He can dance. Like dance dance. So the girls are always asking him to show them some moves. Possibly has a crush on the girl who he sits next to but it’s hard to tell because he’s either always jumping, dancing or eating. Posts dance covers on his instagram.

Yoon Jaehyuk

Junior. Popular. The school’s heart throb. Every girl has had a crush on him at least once. He’s a charming dork. Is actually very immature. Has a loud laugh. Never does his homework on time and is always asking for someone to let him copy theirs. A lot of college kids follow him on instagram. College girls are constantly in his dms. He gets bullied by the guys in his grade because he’s mister ‘steal your girl’. He isn’t the brightest academically, but he has a lot of potential. Isn’t really friends with anyone in his class. But he maintains friendships well. He’s a sweet guy.

Asahi

Junior. He’s not that popular because he barely speaks to anyone. If you’re not a friend of his then you can get at least two words out of him before the end of the year. He’s an artist. He’s also very smart. Gets good grades even though he doodles in class. Literally pays attention to nothing. Rarely smiles. Super chic. He’s handsome and he knows it. He’s in the art club and 100% has a crush on the part time art teacher. Because she’s mature and that’s what he likes. He may be quiet but if anyone messes with him he can make them cry. Posts pictures of his artwork on his instagram.

Bang Yedam

Sophomore. He’s popular. A friendly guy who’s nice to everyone. Always helps the freshmen kids. He’s they guy everyone’s dying to be. Participates in every single extracurricular event. He’s always singing. The music teacher loves him. He’s like a son to her. He has good handwriting. Walks around like he’s in a k-drama, but it suits him. His instagram is just as cool as him. Is actually very innocent. He’s literally a baby. Feels so bad about rejecting his suitors. So he buys them snacks to compensate. Is bound to have a k-drama love story soon. Attractive and dreamy. Also maintains friendships well.

Doyoung

Sophomore. Rich Kid. Thinks he’s the shit. Is always showing off his expensive belongings. But he’s not a dick. He’s the kid that senior girls think is handsome. And they’re right. Only the girls in his class and grade don’t have feelings for him. It’s because he’s just too uninterested in girls. Kind of a prick to them. But only when they’re trying to get his attention. He’s always completing his homework in class. Is absent frequently because he’s probably travelling abroad. Has big dreams. Is actually class president because he has surprisingly good leadership qualities. Sophisticated but you can’t hate him for it.

Haruto

Freshman. Super popular. It only took a week for the whole school to know his name. Heart throb number 2. Looks mean and intimidating but in reality he’s just a nice guy. Doesn’t really talk to anyone except for his friends. Doesn’t have an instagram. Does have snapchat though. Actually prioritises his school work and makes sure to study well even if he isn’t the smartest. Is always talking about his little sister. Ignores girls and will only talk to them if it has something to do with studies. Runs out of his class as soon as the bell rings to go hang out with his friends. He’s nice but not that approachable.

Park Jeongwoo

Freshman. Class clown. He’s literally Jihoon’s son. Jihoon idolises this kid. That’s why he’s popular among the seniors. Hangs out with them a lot. Lunch is his favorite time of the day. Steals snacks from Mashiho. Looks up to Yedam and wants to be like him. Pretends he’s a public figure on his instagram. Wears slippers to school. Goes to the principal frequently. Annoys Haruto. Thinks that every single girl has a crush on him. Runs. He doesn’t know how to walk. Because he’s always running. Sings ballads in the class while standing on his desk. Get’s bullied and feels really bad about it. He is an absolute angel who just wants to be loved by everyone.

So Junghwan

Freshman. He’s a quiet boy. Doesn’t really speak up in class. Get’s babied by the senior girls. So a lot of boys are jealous of him. But he’s innocent so he doesn’t really know what’s going on. Secretly very loud and fun. Like you should have seen him on the field trip. He’s an athlete. Very humble. Will lend you his stationary, no questions asked. Has a hard time balancing sports with studies and needs to be tutored. Listens well to others and is a nice person to have in the class. Is very comfortable with his class and bonds with them well. Is Hyunsuk’s baby and really likes him a lot.

While Uriel is more akin to the cool and comforting countenance of the moon, Gabriel has the blazing warmth of the sun

Perpetually smiling, but each smile holds different meanings depending on how big it is, if there was any crookedness to it, if he showed his teeth, etc.

His close friends and family can usually tell which smile is which, but it’s his twin that can ALWAYS tell whatever mood he was in even just from analyzing his smile

Most of the time however, that smile hides a rambunctious imp that particularly likes playing tricks on anyone and everyone

He enjoys freaking people out and relishes the reactions they make. The more exaggerated the reaction, the better

That time Big G talked to Moses by going into that burning bush? It was Gabriel’s bright idea

Seriously though, that memory of him freaking out is one of Gabriel’s most treasured moments

Although truth be told, his all-time favorite reactions are the ones he least expected

One of his favorite pastimes is trying to coax a surprised reaction out of Uriel, seeing as his brother was normally so stone-faced

He feels that it’s his divine mission to get as many reactions out of Uriel as he can

He enjoys tormenting Raphael as much as he enjoys mentoring their youngest brother on how to speak effectively

A master of the art of speaking, so he knows every manner of using one's voice no matter what their intended outcomes were

Whether it's to soothe, anger, or seduce someone, Gabriel knows them all

But he asks a price for his services. You have to call him "Big Brother" sweetly if you want to even remotely get his attention for whatever favor you plan on asking him

Gabriel enjoys teasing others aside from pranking them

The flustered reactions he gets is always a nice treat

Don’t get him wrong though, he enjoys messing with others but it’s all light-hearted fun on his end and is never done with any intended malice

Rather, he actually makes sure that he never touches upon sore spots for anyone

He’s just a prankster, not an asshole

Out of the seven virtues, he also the one who still gets in touch the most with Lucifer and his brothers

He is a messenger after all so it’s a given he sends and receives messages the most

With how many prophecies, signs, and dreams he has to deliver Gabriel is almost always out and about. So he’s actually the one who’s least present in the celestial realm

You’d usually catch him on the rare times where he’s on break or in-between deliveries

Sometimes when he’s in need of a little entertainment during assignments, he’d spice up his deliveries by changing the method of delivering the messages

Like perhaps he was supposed to give a human a sign from Big G through a dream, but that’s so old-school so instead he delivers it when they’re wide awake and by themselves

He can’t possibly pinpoint the fact why some humans went to loony bins after he delivered their messages

P.S. They thought they went mad because of those “divine hallucinations”

A chaotic force of nature in all his white-haired, molten chocolate goodness

Like the rest of his brothers, he enjoys spoiling Azrael in the way normal big brothers spoil their younger siblings

Obligatory noogies, random wrestling moves, cheek pinching, etc.

An advocate of "No one can bully my siblings except me"

Frequently gets souvenirs from wherever he'd last gone to. He doesn't just get souvenirs for him though, he also gets some for his brothers

Limited edition keychains for Michael for example, sweets for Azrael, local ingredients for Cainabel, tea leaves for Raphael, a new book for Uriel, and etc.

For some reason people like giving him random stuff. Like he could just be passing by and one of his acquaintances or even someone who he'd never really hung out with but knew of him had just harvested their mango tree and now and a surplus of them, or ordered a bit too much of this or that and would give him their extras instead

That's why his pockets are perpetually full with little snacks, candies, and all a manner of random stuff

When his pockets get too full he pops up in the other virtues' offices to lighten his load so to speak

More often than not, it's Azrael who benefits from his brother's popularity since Gabriel himself doesn't eat too many sweets

He doesn't actually notice just how good-looking he is and couple that with his beautiful voice, you can see how and why he's so popular

His generally sunny and rambunctious personality has also earned him many fans

A fan of collecting stamps and has hundreds upon hundreds of books which contain every stamp that has ever come into existence

Michael once gave him a pen, one of those cheap ones you get at dollar stores with a cute character at the top. He still uses it until today and never leaves home without it

Regardless of how tacky something is, if it's from his brothers then Gabriel is sure to use it with happiness and pride

He’s already a normally friendly and handsy type of guy so it’s kinda hard to notice if he’s actually romantically interested in you

Heck, even Gabe doesn’t realize that he’s into you for a good while because he believes the way he thinks about and reacts to you was still included in the realm of being platonic friends

So what if his heart does those little flips whenever you laugh good-naturedly at his antics? When you gave him that little smile of yours that he liked to think was reserved solely for him?

It’s probably nothing when his skin heats up a little bit whenever his skin touches yours even for a little bit

What do you mean he’s always hanging around you? You were his best friend so of course he’d almost always be with you!

He’s kind of like a bird in the sense that his attention span is always moving from one thing or another, but the fact that you manage to hold his attention for so long even when you’re not there was something that surprised and baffled his brothers

Most notably Uriel who was used to Gabriel flitting about, kind of like a hummingbird if he was being honest

Also like a bird, Gabriel gets a lot of random trinkets. Both of his own accord and because people just like randomly giving him stuff and if he deems any of them worthy enough for you, he’s sure as heck gonna present it and gift it to you as soon as possible

He practically preens whenever you accept his gifts (it doesn’t help that his wings sometimes pop out in all his happiness and excitement). Even just a little compliment gets him so happy and excited for the rest of the day

Offers you his wing to touch if you show even the slightest interest in their angel wings

“ You wanna touch them? They’re 100% guaranteed SUPER SOFT. I always keep my wings nice and tidy since I gotta keep up appearances as a messenger, ‘ya know? ”

this was the first thing I saw in my inbox so I shall be using this as a launching stone for my rules list until I make a carrd n shit, since I need something to help me keep track of all the rules and what projects I'm working on.

yes, I get that everyone might have their own headcanons regarding this about characters, I want to try and keep the blog as friendly as possible to everyone. I try and stick as close to the source material as possible, and even though I have my own headcanons (eg everyone I like is autistic because I am autistic), I will not let them get in the way of writing an experience that everyone can read. Readers can request reader inserts that will be tagged appropriately in the title (eg My Immortal || Harry Potter x Trans!Reader, disclaimer, I don't read or watch Harry Potter), but I won't do it to the characters. However, this does not mean everyone is straight and cis; all my readers are gender-neutral unless stated like above

2. No hateful asks about race, gender, sexuality or mental health

I do love a bit of dark content and am willing to write asks based around the stuff listed, however, should the asks be directly targeting someone, complaining about things or mocking the things listed, then I will be deleting it, and if it continues, even if you're on anon, I will block you. What counts as mocking? I will use something I got recently as an example: "can I have a reader who bullies Aesop about his autism?" No.

3. All dark content will be tagged appropriately, so please do not complain if you ignore the warnings

as someone who loves darker content, I will write it from time to time, however due to this I do not wish for people to come complaining to me if and when they read the content despite my warnings and then get upset that they read it. The warnings are there for a reason, and all dark content will be put under a read more so then nobody accidentally ends up reading it. The same goes for my current fic "The Mouse and the Cats", in which will also feature darker content down the line. I accept responsibility for writing content, however I do not accept responsibility if you read it despite the warnings. I do have a more adult blog in the making as I am over the age of 18, but for this blog, I wish to keep things family friendly for everyone, so I will have to refuse adult content on this blog. Invader zim Sitcom au (Part 2)

Okay so this is gonna go over all the other famlies. For characters who’s last names I don’t know I just gave them random last names.

The membranes: AKA The next door neighbors who get a spinoff later or something 

Professor Membrane: Doesn’t change much besides from being actually supportive this time. He’s like how he was in ETF. He’s still a successful scientist, but the “Smartest man in the world” thing is only just a title now. He let’s Gaz and Dib help him during some of his experiments as a fun, family bonding activity. (This does not mean they’re all safe, they can still be pretty chaotic, such as that one time where the house got overrun by gerbils). He still has robotic limbs from the shark incident, the incident actually left him deathly afraid of sharks (Yaaaaayyy PTSD)

Dib Membrane: Still a feral little paranormal investigator, he Zim go on crazy paranormal-hunting adventures together (YAAAYY Zadf), which Gaz joins sometimes. Sometimes it just ends up like a scooby-doo mystery where it turns out nothing supernatural was actually going on, sometimes they actually find some sort of paranormal thing. A lot of they’re hangouts are paranormal investigations. Dib’s still feral but he’s still calmer and more rational than Zim, while ZIm is much more rash and impulsive. Though Dib’s still more of a logical thinker, while Zim is a much more outside-the-box thinker, so they work well together. Sometimes they’ll butt heads and their competitiveness flares up again, but it’s more of a friendly, chaotic rivalry.

Gazlene “Gaz” Membrane: Gaz is a lot like how she was in the comics, still a jerk, but she still cares about her brother. Her care commonly shows in anger born of worry, she’s pretty much 80% of his impulse control.

Clembrane and Foodio 3000: Clembrane was a clone made by membrane so that membrane could get more stuff done, but the cloning didn’t go so well, which is why Clembrane is the way he is. Clembrane just ends up doing housework, and has an odd fixation on pudding. (Professor doesn’t know why, he thinks it might be because that was one of the first thing they taught him to cook that came out edible). Foodio’s pretty much the same, but was instead created as a robo-butler to clean the house and do chores when membrane was to busy.

Skoodge Brians: Zim’s best friend besides Dib, he’s gullible, but he’s got a good heart and he means well. He’s also a strong boy, physically and emotionally. He, Zim, Dib, and Gaz make up a ragtag bunch of misfits and stand up for eachother togther, and go on their own misadventures. Skoodge takes the bullying he receives in stride because he tells himself (Or at least tries to) that they’re just empty insults. He’s usually the shoulder to cry on for the group. He’s the type of friend to just let himself into the house if he’s close enough with whoever lives there (I.e, The Membrane sibs and Zim).

Tak Vessel:  (I wanted her surname to be a reference to her ship in the show. Vessel is an actual surname, albeit rare, and is a synonym for ship). Tak is a transfer student from the UK (Hence her accent) causing occasional culture shock for her (”IT’S NOT CALELD SOCCER! IT’S CALLED FUTBOL!!!” “Tak please it’s just a game). She’s kind of a bully who usually targets Zim, but mostly because he keeps ticking her off. She does have her soft spots for the Membrane siblings and her little sister Mimi. She holds some begrudging respect for Skoodge for putting up with everyone’s BS, her included, she can’t even imagine having that kind of patience. She mellows down if you get on her good side and can be a good friend when she wants to, She’s not much of a bully as she is just able to go from 0 to 100 real easily. 

Minerva “Mimi” Vessel: Tak’s “creepy” little sister around Gir’s age. Tak is really close to her,  which comes as a surprise to most people since Tak is seen as the kind of person who’d bully their little sibling. Mimi is a creepy little Satan child, at least at surface level. She checks all the boxes on the creepy little kid list. She doesn’t talk, she has big ole eyes that stares into your soul, she usually plays or sits alone, and is into some dark things, like she’s the kid who’d read the original tale after watching a disney movie, and would prefer the original. But deep down she’s just shy. She opens up to Gir later in the series, and usually lets him talk for her (Either by whispering in his ear and having him repeat what she just said, or communicating in sign language and having him translate, Gir’s translations are the same quality as google translate, not entirely accurate but you can get what she’s trying to say if you connect the dots). Mimi only speaks when she deems it necessary, since she has a stutter and a bit of a lisp when she speaks, which she’s really insecure about.

Tennessee “Tenn” Michaels: (I know literally nothing about Tenn please forgive me) A lively girl who’s kind of a ditz, but always tries her best and is quick to know when she’s made a mistake. She’s a friend of Skoodge’s so she knows the main squad just by proximity. She’s much more of a girly girl then Tak and Gaz, but they humor her because it makes her happy. Her parents run a daycare which she helps with sometimes, although “Help” usually means “Be offered as a sacrifice to a bunch of insane toddlers” in her eyes (Kinda like being sent tons of defective sir units in the show, except she’s only stuck with them until they’re parents pick them up). Sometimes she joins the main squad with they’re paranormal investigations or general shenanigans, but usually she can’t because she’s busy helping her parents at the daycare. She’s pretty much the only main character who’s not unpopular and has more then 4 or 5 friends.

Floog Gregor: Floog is a shy boy who’s also friends with Skoodge. He’s timid but he tries to be a good leader, and he’s even vice president of the student council at Skool. He looks up to his Dad, Theen, who’s a commander serving in the navy seals. Floog doesn’t get to see his dad very often, at least not in person (They do things like phone calls and video chat, but it’s not the same) Floog knows that his dad’s very busy, and that he has to sacrifice family time for his job. But since Theen’s a navy seal (I’ll keep it vague where Theen is serving specifically because I don’t want to offend anyone) Floog feels selfish for wanting his dad to come home, because of this, Floog has a tendacy to put others before himself. Like Tenn, Floog sometimes joins the main gang in their misadventures, but he’s usually too scared. When he does join them, he’s the most hesitant to do anything, and pretty much takes orders from the others. He’s pretty much the Shaggy of the group.

Minimoose: The Invaedirs pet cat. (I made him a cat because cats go “Nyah!” like Minimoose) He’s a chubby lil good boi who waddles and causes trouble and cutes his way out of it. Zim found him in a dumpster and named him “Minimoose” because according to Zim, he looks like a miniature moose. Red and purple thought the name was stupid, Gir liked it, Miyuki thought it was hillarious, Spork didn’t really care, so Minimoose got his name via majority vote. Zim’s the closest with him, and Zim even talks to Minimoose sometimes. (”MINIMOOSE! Red pushed me again, how can I get him to stop pushing me?! “Nyah” “Good Idea Minimoose! Putting Red down means I WOULD get pushed less!” “Nyah” “Yes Minimoose, I love you too.”)

29. What is their love language? (Davin and Finn)

Davin’s primary one is acts of service. Neither of them are very good about expressing feelings that aren’t anger, or frustration, or snide superiority, so Davin hides his behind a willingness to give a shit about someone else for a change. They’re primarily practical acts - cleaning up after someone, anticipating their need for food or something to drink, etc - but they are noticeable in that he doesn’t do that kind of thing for literally anyone else LMAO. Finn’s secondary is probably also acts of service for much the same reasons, but he’s decidedly more materialistic than his brother, so gifts ekes out a bit of a lead over it. He doesn’t make a big deal out of it - or does, and leans hard into the dramatic, ‘yeah I got it for you because I’m amazing, obv' thing - but again, you certainly aren’t going to find him spending HIS hard earned money on someone who didn’t capture a little bit of his affection.

34. Where would they be at a frat party? (Alex and Tahir)

Tahir is 1000% the dude making/doling out drinks and putting the obscenely drunk into another room to sleep it off. He’ll encourage people to do some stupid shit that’s entertaining, but never anything actively dangerous, and diverts the ones who WANT to try something dangerous into something slightly less likely to kill them. Alex, meanwhile, is the one who has weasled her way onto the couch where the tea is being spilled. She is stone cold sober or nursing one (1) beer, and is carefully filing all the chatter away for later perusal. She’s also indulging people in telling a bunch of stories about Tahir, and whether she’s hyping him up or cutting him down to size for the crowd depends on the moon, the tides and absolutely fuck all.

26. How do they flirt? (Any/all)

Alex - Usually lets interested parties come to her, but the general approach is the same - make casual conversation, usually by asking the other person about themself and making her interest/admiration plain while doing so, and then offering to buy a drink/for them to come back to her place/etc. In a modern AU, Alex first meets Adelina at the cafe she works at, and goes back enough that they start to strike up friendly conversations on the daily. Eventually, she leaves her number alongside her tip and lets Adelina take it or leave it, which is Peak Alex.

Tahir - Is often enough in a crowd that he tends to make his interest known by putting his attention specifically on a person in said group. He’ll actively make space for them in a conversation and ask follow up questions about them. If there’s even a hint that they’re not interested in that sort of attention, he backs off; otherwise, they’re treated to stories and jokes and a full cup while in his company, usually followed by an offer to spend the night.

Davin - Is an ass to people, and if they match his wit and his intelligence and keep digging at him as often as he digs back…. he becomes an ass (affectionate). 

Finn - Does that thing where he flirts in a very overdramatic way that you can almost write off as being a joke because he figures that making a gal laugh is probably a good way to express his interest. And if she does laugh, he leans into it more, until it’s no longer dramatic and 100% blatant interest. 

Adelina - Sucks at flirting. She keeps trying, but she’s more likely to make it sound so awkward that the other person just starts laughing. And from there, she pouts and has to admit that she was trying to flirt but she’s miserable at it, and then begs their sympathy for her. Which...admittedly works, because she’s just so dang earnest that it’s charming.

Jon - Too anxious about his sexuality to flirt well, doesn’t dare let himself be openly affectionate until he’s basically already in a relationship.

Myrine - Just outright states her interest. (Myrine does NOT play, y’all.)

Val - Tests the waters with casual conversation, and when she receives positive responses, immediately sets up elaborate dates that are straight out of a romance novel. Last time Val took Rona out, she wrote her a song. That’s the level she’s at.

Fizz - Gets immediately flustered upon recognizing her crush and tries to be a little less “weird” in order to pursue it. She starts trying to be more prim and proper and subdued around them - but only when they are around - and generally just pays them a lot of her undivided attention. It hasn’t really worked so far, sad to say.

Zephyr - Doesn’t flirt so much as become less vocal about her disdain for helping someone. She also goes out of her way to recognize that they are having things like feelings, and will try to anticipate their needs as a means of displaying that she cares about them. And once she knows the feeling is mutual, her flirting can come across a little more like uhhhh…. gentle bullying, lmao.

okay so i ranked 113 total drama/ridonculous race ships based on how much i like them with explanations below the cut.. fair warning that i’m a lil mean to some of the ships lower on the list.

also i forgot to include dwayne senior and that one girl’s mom from rr because i literally forgot they existed until now, and i don’t want to manually add them in so i’ll just say that i think they’re cute but not super interesting.

EDIT: this has been updated post-roti-rewatch. i switched around the order of a couple ships, and added a new one. if i ever rewatch rr or pahkitew i’ll probably edit it again, but the likelihood of me rewatching either of those seasons any time soon is... ok i was about to say it was slim but it’s probably not

41. trent/justin - best justin ship, worst trent ship (that i can think of. i’m sure there are more trent ships but i can’t think of them lmao). i can see them getting along pretty well! i bet in universe a bunch of drama brothers fans ship them, because of course they do. i can see the potential here.

30. courtney/trent - i really, REALLY love them as friends, but i like them as a ship too! honestly i just love them getting along in any capacity. i think they’d be cute.

29. dawn/dakota - i made this up five minutes ago and i love it. i have no idea if people actually ship this but they should. just… think about it for a second. think about it and then try to tell me i’m wrong. u can’t.

24. gwourtney - i used to like this one a lot more, but it’s still very good. i love the idea of them both mistakenly attributing their feelings for each other to duncan and accidentally ruining their friendship in the process. and by love i mean hate but also think is a good interpretation of the love triangle. i can see them together in an au, or after seriously reconciling in the future. or, honestly, in any universe where sundae muddy sundae doesn’t exist.

20. jasammy - i like this only marginally better than jashawn. honestly, i like all three dating the most. but anyway, jasmine was the first person who saw sammy as more than an extension of her sister… she stuck up for her. she was sammy’s first real friend. can i just reiterate… i’m soft.

19. evzy - they would light your house on fire together just cuz they were in the mood. eva bench presses izzy every morning. do not try to challenge them to any sort of competition, they will win by any means possible. eva picks izzy up at every opportunity. whenever they cook anything, they burn it. is this by accident or on purpose? i’m not sure. izzy likes lighting stuff on fire and eva likes eating burnt food for some reason, so it doesn’t really matter. i love their dynamic so much.

18. jomaria - if u were talking shit about either one of them, they would both get together and beat u up. they’re both legends and i love them.

17. gweather - total trauma comic has truly opened my eyes… i really like them in a future setting where they’re both more mature and can understand how they were both in the wrong at times during total drama, and ended up hurting people and were hurt themselves, and work through that together. so basically… in the setting of the total trauma comic.

16. heather/leshawna - rivals to lovers…. au where leshawna and heather get together during tda… i’m telling u it’s a good ship.

15. nowen - imho, this is both the best noah ship and the best owen ship. they complement each other so well. world tour nowen is just. the peak of their dynamic. i think enough has been said about nowen that you can understand why i would like it, so i’m just gonna move on.

14. trody - this one came outta NOWHERE a while back, i’m telling u. but i love it?? i liked their friendship in island, and i just. i love the idea of cody having a crush on both gwen and trent during island, misunderstanding that and thinking he just has a crush on gwen, and realizing after island at some point that he also liked trent. and then trent developing a crush on cody after the breakup with gwen and just… dijfalsfjla honestly i like them in so many contexts. thank u tumblr user gothcody for bringing the trody hype. anyway they’re a good ship!

13. bridgecourt - my favorite bridgette ship! idk i loved bridgette and courtney’s friendship in island, and i can see them having a best friends to lovers type of deal. i just think they’d be cute together, and their relationship would be really healthy and balanced.

12. gwoey - u can try and tell me there wasn’t a little something between these two in all stars, but u would be wrong. their designs compliment each other really well, they’re cute together… i’m a fan.

11. lesharold - SO valid. harold drinks his respect women juice every morning, except for that one time he rigged the votes in island to vote out courtney because he was mad at duncan smh. anyway this is a relationship built on RESPECT and CARE. they’re very cute together, and i love them.

10. dawn/zoey - the superior doey. listen the only reason these two weren’t friends is because fresh decided that zoey was going to think dawn was “weird”? but what if zoey just said that because she didn’t know how to deal with the fact that she found zoey cute… zoey is the epitome of that “i had a crush on a girl and i didn’t know how to deal with it so i sent her a letter that said ‘get out of my school’” tweet. n e way they would be such a good couple.

9. samkota - dafjlsflkaakf i think about samkota and i freak out i’m telling u. like is there anything. ANYTHING. better than a guy loving and respecting his girlfriend unconditionally? and mutual love and respect? … well i mean there are several more entries on this list, so okay, maybe a couple of things, but this shit is galaxy brain right here.

8. aleduncan - ok so apparently something i like slightly more than partners who are soft and even softer for each other is total assholes who care about each other. like alejandro is a gentleman… but he’s a manipulative jerk too. and duncan’s a fucking asshole and i love him for it. anyway when they teamed up in world tour, especially in that episode where they hunted ezekiel (??? what is total drama??) i really liked their dynamic.

7. lyler - ok back to love and respect. tyler and lindsay are so good!! tyler got so excited when lindsay remembered who he was right? and lindsay never stopped asking ppl if they were tyler ok. like she knew she cared about tyler enough to want to be with him even when she didn’t know who he was?? i feel like we don’t talk about the implications of this enough. honestly… i feel like people overlook how much the period in between tyler’s elimination and slap slap evolution must have sucked for both of them? like it was played for laughs but… that shit’s sad :( ok i’m done being sad they’re cute and they love each other and i love them.

6. gwent - yea u got me i still care about them. tdi gwent was really sweet! there was a lil pining. a lil outside meddling. and a lot of cute. and GOD during the finale when trent ran alongside gwen with that boulder? he cared about her so much!! of course action ruined it with the shitty portrayal of ocd and a healthy portion of not fucking communicating with your partner, but before that it was good.

5. truncan - you got me, i like the idea of trent serenading duncan with his guitar and duncan liking it a lot more than he anticipated. i think they’d have a dynamic that’s a little more turbulent than most other trent ships, but less so than most other duncan ships. they’d be a lot more balanced i think. i’m a fan of that.

4. scuncan - okay so u remember how i said i like to ship two fucking assholes together? scuncan is peak asshole/asshole rights. all stars totally missed their chance to have these two team up by dumbing scott down, whatever they did with duncan, and of course, introducing scourtney, i’m just saying. scott was actually playing the game pretty well in roti, and duncan was a veteran of the series. the two of them could’ve dominated the game. those fuckin assholes.

3. aleheather - okay now this ship was like, the only central ship that started out good and ended good in this entire series, except maybe jashawn but they don’t count because they were literally only in 13 episodes. anyway they did rivals to lovers right here. also, they simultaneously gave heather a great character arc and wrote alejandro super well. so the characters as individuals were great at the time they got together, and the couple was great together, so what i’m trying to say is… aleheather was and still is amazing.

2. duncney - in case u couldn’t tell from how high gwent is on this list, i am a fan of the tdi ships. another thing you might be able to tell from this list- duncan and courtney are two of my favorite characters in the series. so of course duncney gets a high placement on this list. not only that, but they go from disliking each other to really liking each other, which is something else that i really like. tdi duncney is opposites attract in the best way, where they compliment each other each other instead of clash. beyond that… ugh. eughhh. i don’t even want to think about that. but duncney in tdi alone earns itself number two on the list.

1. heathney - yes i love girls. yes this ship is pretty fucking basic. and no, there are no heathney fics on ao3. i will be attempting to remedy that. anyway, i could see them pulling a rivals to friends to lovers as well, which is one of my absolute favorite tropes. i think they’d be a total power couple. and to top it off, i love them both. a lot. so much. thank u for ur time.

I try to keep a bi-weekly schedule (now usually Sunday updates). But I always let you know when the chapter is done by making a final word count post (pre edits).

are your requests open?

depends. on two things: 1) if anyone will even care by that point 2) time. this story has consumed 5 months of my life entirely. i’ve been incredibly strict with myself when it comes to writing it (in a good way) but at best it won’t be finished till the end of august/beginning of september. so likely even if I do, there will be a break for a few months at least. I do have ideas though.

how did you come up with your lore in vamp!au?

to be completely honest....I just wrote a bunch of stuff down and used what stuck. mostly the ideas were pulled out of thin air while still trying to keep within the spirit of the canon material (the high priest, the holy church, the twelve priests, john being the boogeyman etc). camorra as the natural enemy seemed fitting and santino as a vampire prince even more so.

TIPS & ADVICE:

how do you write so much, so quickly?

I don’t think that word count is really reflective of the quality work itself. I don’t think you should worry how much you write, either. 100 words can be just as valuable as 1k. most of them time I have a deadline breathing down my neck and I do work well under pressure so that inspires me to force the chapters out. I also do very long days because despite what it might look like I’m not a fast writer.

how can I improve my writing?

read and practice. I know it’s dumb and overused advice but it’s how I learned english and found my style (still a mess and WIP) but still this advice does help. 

how do you keep motivated?

spite, your support, genuine adoration for these characters/word, a lot of spite. 

do you plan? outline?

I have a vague story outline with specific scenes in mind as I go along (helps to set up foreshadowing, twists, and those ‘full circle’ moments). I also plan each chapter scene by scene and know what each chapter is meant to accomplish. So yeah in a sense.

Chocotemp Flower shop/Tattoo Parlour AU

This was meant to be a list of “AUs and HCs” but I ended up writing too much about this one AU so I’m separating them into different posts.

Feel free to add more!

-They share a shop because they’re both broke college students. The shop front/outside the shop is where all the flower displays are placed, and the back/small attic that’s connected by a flight of stairs is the tattoo place. 

-The shop is called “Guns n’ Roses” and they’re constantly afraid of getting copyrighted just because Bibi wanted a stupid pun name for the shop.

-They take turns manning the counter. Usually it’s Bibi manning the counter because he “looks more friendly”. 

-You guessed it, Bibi’s the tattoo part of the shop. He’s (canonically) an art student so he is qualified. He also does arrangements sometimes (he’s not actually qualified for that and sometimes puts flowers with contradictory meanings together. He has the eye for aesthetic though, and if the customer isn’t particular about the meanings Tempest just lets him do his thing) (He thinks it’s fun and it makes Tempest happy that he’s enjoying it). 

-Bibi likes sketching flowers and most of his portfolio is flowers that Tempest has brought in. He isn’t great at drawing cartoony stuff and is better at realism. He can follow a reference well enough though.

-Surprisingly, he doesn’t have a lot of tattoos and the ones he has are small and mostly just clean lines (no colour). 

-Tempest takes care of the flowers, he usually is in the back doing a bunch of inventory and stuff. After graduating from literature, he looked further into flower language and cultural significance of flowers etc. He writes cards for the flowers if requested and writes short stories as commissions too. He likes going to the library near by and reading for children there :,)

-Whenever someone walks in Bibi goes, “Hi, welcome! Guns or Roses?” Usually people just stare at him blankly and he just laughs awkwardly and says, “Roses it is. What type of arrangement are you going for?” 

-They advertise the shop through social media platforms. They get a lot of aesthetic blogs following them, sometimes asking if they can use their photos (of flowers, tattoos and flower tattoos.) for posts. Hit them up, they’ll be very honoured.

-Tempest is in charge of song choice for background music because Bibi would put shit like Blonde Boyz in the playlist. It’s mostly musical stuff that they can vibe to. Once, a customer walked in on them singing Satisfied at the top of their lungs, Tempest yelling from the back Angelica’s lines and Bibi providing backup and Eliza’s lines while holding a rose as a mic.

-Tempest has a really cliche angel wing tattoo on his back, done by Bibi. When he asked Bibi to do it for him he jut stared at him like he was crazy. “Bro are you serious?” “Yes? What’s the problem?” “You know it’s gonna hurt a lot right- other than that, an angel wing? That’s like, so cliche.” “Oh my god shut up of course I know. Just separate it into different sections and time slots like you always do.” 

-Soup came in once while Tempest was on counter duty. “Welcome to G- Oh it’s you.” “What, not gonna say the line?” “Soup-” “Mmm I think I walked into the wrong shop sorry.” “Wait- *pinching nose* Fine. Fine, welcome. Guns. Or Roses.” “WHAT WAS THAT U EMOTIONLESS BASTARD AHAHFHIDHVIHIH welcome. AHAHAHUAHFIEH-” “I’m telling Bibi that you’re bullying me.” 

-Soup works part time sometimes for cash and if they really really need to fill in a spot. Questionable decision to let him fill the spot though. If Tempest is away, you probably should not step into the shop because Bibi and Soup would 100% be doing dumb shit. 

-Tempest received a call on the first day away and hearing both of them crying hysterically with what sounded suspiciously like Bread Bank playing bass boosted in the background. 

-He didn’t understand anything they said, but sent Coco to check it out anyways. She’s so tired of their bullshit please help her.

So this happened during the weekend on a road trip where I decided to create another AU featuring the CU cast in the world of Mob Psycho 100. But as a twist, instead of revolving around George and Harold, the story would instead focus on unlucky oddball Steve “Gooch” Yamaguchi. 

Starring

Gooch as Shigeo “Mob” Kageyama. Along with having the same hairstyle, they’re both awkward, blunt and soft spoken boys who have difficulty with reading the room or understanding social norms. They still try to be good people but often get taken advantage of by other more domineering personalities. For this AU, Gooch is gifted with incredible powers that ordinary people could only dream to have. But Gooch isn’t interested in them since most people in his life only want him because of his powers. He wants to be recognized for his other traits and talents that don’t revolve around making cars and people float into space. 

Krupp as Reigen Arataka. They’re both highly similar since they’re stingy, overreactive, self-absorbed glory hounds who often take advantage of others if it means satisfying their own personal goals. The main difference that unlike canon, Krupp will be an actual Jerk with a Heart of Gold for this AU. Over time, he learns to care about Gooch as he becomes his master by providing him genuine life lessons for him to use in his life. He also realizes that there are consequences to going too far with his selfish ways and that he won’t be as happy if he continues down the same path. He runs a spirit and consultation office where he takes on supernatural themed cases if it means bringing him cash and popularity. 

Bo as Ritsu Kageyama. Both of them are dependable, kind hearted and have a close relationship with the main protagonist. In this AU, Bo would be more like a childhood friend who grew up with Gooch and cherishes his friendship with him. However, an incident involving some bullies made Bo insecure over the fact that he wasn’t able to protect Gooch. What’s worse is that Gooch was the one who ended up saving the two of them while also discovering his psychic powers that very day.  It’s because of this that Bo is desperate to awaken his own powers so he can be the guardian he was meant to be.

Smartsy as Dimple. Along with being floating blobs of green gas, they also started out as villains who wanted to take control of people but decided to let go of their schemes and become good. His initial cult was dedicated to healthy living by eating as many beans, broccoli and apple juice as possible.

Melvin as Teruki Hanazawa. The cocky, talented rivals of their respective series. Just like Teru, Melvin starts out believing himself to be something of a god while everyone else are inferior life forms for him to boss around. It isn’t until he has a chance encounter with Gooch does he realize that he isn’t the only big fish in the little pond called life. While he’s still arrogant and sarcastic, humble is something that Melvin can never properly learn in any AU, he does show genuine respect for Gooch for his abilities and a willingness to cooperate with his social circle. Also he does end up bald during his fight with Gooch and resorts to using an 80s wig.

Jessica as Tome Kurata. While this is a weird choice because of their different social standings, I chose them based on personality types. Just like Tome, Jessica is overly dramatic, obnoxious, conceited and is prone to giving orders to other students. For this AU, while she did create the Telepathy Club to be lazy and goof off, she does have a genuine interest in alien life and wants to make contact with them. Mainly so she can share her fabulous haar secrets with the rest of the universe. And in case you’re wondering about the aliens in her haar, those aren’t decorations. Those are the real thing. But just like Tome, Jessica needs to be motivated to achieve her goal and she’ll easily obtain them if she actually puts the effort into it.

Dressy as Ichi Mezato. A junior reporter at the school and a close acquaintance of Gooch. I picked her mainly for her role rather than personality. The reason she begins to investigate Gooch is because she’s seen his powers in its fullest when he defeated Smartsy’s Health Cult which in turn resulted in a secret following of people dedicated to the mysterious savior. Dressy desires to learn more about him so she can use his information and powers to promote a new world order that inspires peace and harmony among the rest of the Earth. So in a way, she wants to create her own cult. Cult!

Erica as Shou Suzuki. Both of them are talented, athletic and tend to snark when given the opportunity. Despite their cocky attitudes, they are truly aligned with the good side and want to make things right. For the AU, Erica has been keeping tabs on the Claw organization and has been providing the heroes with information needed to help take them and her wicked godmother down. 

Nurse Offstill as Tsuchiya. I decided to go with Offstill since I wanted a female Faculty member who could work as a reformed Claw member. Offstill works with Tsuchiya since they’re both kick butt ladies who treat kids with respect and pretty cool in their own ways. Also to keep the record clear, Nurse Offstill belongs to @guilty-as-battery-charged. 

Mr. Ree as Yusuke Sakurai. They’re both serious and dedicated to their careers. Ree would be exceptionally talented when it comes to using weapons. And while he does start out as a villain, he ultimately switches to being a good guy and proves to be a reliable ally.

Mr. Meaner as Banshomaru Shinra. They both have a sorta weird friendship going on with Krupp/Reigen, especially when it comes to their banter. Both Meaner and Shinra also believe themselves to be exceptionally great at their talents but the results say otherwise as they end up becoming Butt Monkeys.

Professor Poopypants as Ishiguro. The main antagonists of their respective series who intend to conquer the world and live above everyone as superior beings. They cannot be swayed into stopping their evil agendas and refuse to accept logic. Also they’re both tiny and have violent temper tantrums.

Mister Rio as Shimazaki. I went with my OC Rio since he fits with Shimazaki as a confident, agile and dangerous threat. They’ll beat you to a pulp with a smug smile on their faces.

Ms. Anthrope as Toichiro Suzuki. Regarding personalities, Anthrope can work for Toichiro since on the surface they’re presented as calm-minded, serious and somewhat generous to those around them. (Toichiro offered to help Serizawa control his powers and Anthrope is always reaching out to Krupp as a friend). But beneath the surface, they prove to be egomaniacal and dangerous as they intend to conquer the world to satisfy their own egos. I based this on how Anthrope was super expressive and power hungry when she became Clogneta. 

Edith the Lunch Lady as Serizawa Katsuya. Just like Serizawa, Edith is an awkward but friendly person who wants to do what’s right. They have difficulty speaking up for themselves so they often mumble their words and drop the issue. For this AU, Edith was a social outcast because of her out of control powers and was afraid of hurting people. It isn’t until Ms. Anthrope arrived did she learn not only to control her powers but that she can be of use to create a better world order. But eventually she realizes how harmful and dangerous Anthrope’s agenda really is and switches sides. Once the battle is over, she decides to work at Krupp’s spirit office to use her powers for good. Also, Serizawa is considered to be Reigen’s love interest so it felt appropriate to have Edith here considering how Reigen is. *insert hubba-hubba-buububaba*

Other characters that I wanted to include were Lavator Ree as Murashi Gouda the leader of the Body Improvement Club. In this AU, Lavator would be a gym teacher instead of a student but he still leads the club with pride and goes the extra mile to ensure that Gooch is getting the right amount of training. And for George and Harold, I feel that they would share an unofficial role of being the Emi of the AU. They ended up having a rut with their comics since they feel that it doesn’t have the same heart like the old ones did. What’s worse is that they feel that maybe they’re outgrowing making comic books. But it isn’t until a chance encounter with Gooch who provides meaningful words to the boys on how their work does have meaning and they should cherish not only the talent they have but the time they spend making it together. This rekindles their spirits and the boys decide to make a comic dedicated to their new friend called “The Paranormal Heroics of the Prodigious Psycho Helmet”. And I also wanted to include someone for Tsubomi but I didn’t know which student would be fit to be Gooch’s love interest.

This post ended up being really long, so… answers below the cut!

3. In your opinion, what’s your best fic? 

So far, I’m really proud of how The Most Glamorous Puzzle of All is turning out; it’s giving me exercises in character development, and I can write in a lot of different styles depending on the prompts and what I choose to do with them. As the summary for that fic mentions, chapters can be anywhere between silly, angsty, and fluffy. Also, I’m having fun seeing how these two work together, both as friends and as a couple - and hey, it’s Papyton fluff, and it’s really hard to go wrong with that, in my opinion!

As for my oneshots, I really like a lot of them, but I can’t help but feel proud of With You in My Sights for condensing the development of the relationship into six brief scenes and still having it come out with nice pacing (at least in my opinion).

(I’m also quite proud of some of my NSFW fics, but given that they’re… well, NSFW, I’d rather not discuss them on this blog, since I’m trying to keep it family-friendly over here. I do have a NSFW sideblog, but so far, all I’ve done over there is publish links to my fics with the occasional text post about one of them.)

7. What’s the fic you most want to continue (unfinished or no)? 

I know I want to see Glamorous Puzzle completed with all 100 chapters, but I also really want to publish more chapters for my pro wrestling AU Contendertale; I have lots of worldbuilding planned for that fic, and it’s gonna be really cool! (At least, I hope…) Also, I hope to publish more chapters to my Undertale/Mother 1 crossover Sing a Melody of Determination someday, though I think I may need to rewrite that one a little; back when I wrote it, I was still open to referring to Frisk and Chara with non-canon pronouns, but now that I’ve changed my mind about that and started referring to them exclusively with their canonical they/them pronouns, I think I should edit the story accordingly before I continue. I do have lots of cool plans for that fic, too…

(Also, I should get off my lazy behind and finally finish the final chapter of Frisk and Asriel’s Special Day; I’ve already written most of it, but I just have a little more that I need to finish.)

Heck, maybe someday, if I ever return to the Digimon fandom, I could finally finish my fic Heroes Wear Green; I may need to do a little tweaking here and there, but I had so many awesome plans for that story, and I don’t want them to go to waste (but at the same time, I’m reluctant to hand any of my stories off to anyone else). That being said, given that I’m not anywhere near as much into Digimon as I used to be, it might not happen anytime soon; besides, I still have all those cool Undertale stories to finish.

22. Has there ever been anyone who’s made you freak out because they read your work and followed/favorited/reviewed? 

Well, for starters, several months ago when I published a little story about Mettaton going stargazing with Papyrus and asking him a certain question, the very same person who sent this ask left a nice review for that fic; given that I’d read a number of his fluff pieces and liked them (though I was kinda shy about leaving kudos or reviews at the time), as well as him being a popular Papyton writer, my thought process was pretty much “wait, you think my stories are good? Wowie!” In general, whenever a popular Papyton author leaves a nice review on my work, it gives me a “whoa!” feeling because their work probably inspired mine, even if only in the slightest of ways.

23. What’s the nicest review you’ve ever gotten? 

It’s hard for me to pick just one, so here are just a few of my favorites (note: some of these are just excerpts from longer reviews):

There were a couple of other ones for one of my NSFW stories, and while both are too long to be posted here, they both warmed my heart to a huge degree (hint: one of them should look quite familiar to the person who sent this ask!)

48. Does anyone you know from outside of fandom know you write fanfic? Are they involved in the same fandom too?

I prefer to keep my fanfic life and my IRL life separate, since there are people in my life who I would prefer didn’t know about this hobby of mine, for various reasons. Since a lot of what I write involves a slightly niche pairing, and some of it is NSFW, and the vast majority of my writings are Undertale (a controversial topic in several circles), I’m kinda nervous about bringing it up. I have met some Undertale fans in real life, though, but given that they were my classmates in team projects, we didn’t really talk about Undertale as much as we talked about the assignments we were doing.

50. Has writing fanfic had a significant impact on your life? Would you say it’s entirely positive?

The thing about writing fanfic (for me at least) was that I had to write quite a few duds before I struck gold. And back in my earliest days, I wrote a lot of duds; it’s for this reason that I often feel unsure about ever returning to the Digimon fandom, since a lot of what I wrote was mediocre at best and disgraceful at worst (characters in-name-only, lots of lolrandom humor, the heroes looking like total dorks because I was in a phase of liking the villains the best - all while removing the traits that made them villains, etc.) and it was only around the time shortly before I left the fandom that I really started to take my writing seriously. It may be hard for me to think of some of the characters (both heroes and villains) without thinking of how I horribly mangled everything about them for some cheap attempts at “comedy”.

So that’s the negative side of my fanfic writing; now onto the positive! Since starting this hobby, I’ve slowly become more confident in expressing myself, and I’m believing in my own writing skills more and more. Also, knowing that a story of mine could be the thing to brighten someone’s day (as shown in some of the reviews I quoted above) is always a good motivator. Especially since a lot of what I write is close to my heart; it’s stuff that I would like to read myself. Another big thing is that, when I was younger, I was hoping to become a good artist so I could animate cartoons; I never quite got the hang of the intricacies of drawing, but I’ve noticed that my writing has definitely gotten better, so I’ve realized that maybe, just maybe, this is where my true talent lies.

And, of course, I’ve made a lot of friends (and, at one point, even found love) through both reading and writing fanfiction, and while not all of those friendships have lasted (sadly, the romantic relationship didn’t last, either), the people I’ve met because of this hobby are still very special to my heart. I think it’s safe to say that I owe a lot of my friendships, directly or indirectly, to my fanfic writing; given that, when I first started out, I was - in real life - the shy, easily-startled girl who got bullied a lot, it was much easier for me to let my guard down around people who didn’t know my IRL identity. Even though my situation has gotten better since then, I still find it easier to make friends online than in real life, since I’m more likely to find people who share common interests, like Undertale or favorite bands… or fanfiction!

Why do “problematic” ships and characters appeal to us?

I really wanted to write up a long post on this subject, seeing the ever growing hate and even IRL bullying that occurs because someone likes a character or ship that is deemed “bad”. A lot of these people say they are abuse survivors and invalidate the feelings of OTHER abuse survivors and it’s really starting to get on my last nerve. A lot of people in fandoms commonly say things like “That doesn’t make sense to me” or “I dont understand it” or “they hate each other (as if we didnt know that already in canon)” .

Another popular thing to do is to claim we crave unhealthy relationships and glorify them to the point where mock posts and comments have been made about those of us that hate/rival ship characters.  Or, if we like an individual character that is a “bad person”. 

Coming from the stance of a physically and emotionally abused person - and from what I have seen in my own fandoms and other people who support characters and ships for the same reasons I do, this is an explanation as to WHY we like these characters and their dynamics. I only speak from my own POV and am in no way trying to paint a picture of everyone who can speak for themselves. 

1) Rival ships :

Why do people LIKE rivals together? Typically they are seen consistently competing and trying to show each other up. Sometimes it’s questioned if they even “like” each other, or if the rivalry ends the relationship ends. There’s several things people like about rivalry. There’s something really attracting about two people getting passionate about each other. At some point it becomes a routine - their routine. Often times the bickering starts out as legit teasing, that turns into friendly banter. There are a lot of people that love the idea of friendly bickering, teasing, and the dramatics of being someones rival. 

Sometimes this doesnt happen in canon. Sometimes we decide on a ship based on their character personalities and how we *think* they would act in a fanon reality. Others can perceive this TOTALLY different which is where the “not understanding” comes from. It’s kinda wilde but different chemistry appeals to different people. Unlike hateships however, rival ships tend to be really friendly. Not always, but usually. Rivals that turn to friends BUT STILL keep their antics is one of the most appealing things about their relationship(s).

2) Hateshipping:

Unlike rivalry (which can exist in hateshipping as well) these characters have made it clear in canon they DO NOT like each other, or have blatantly stated that they hate each other or even that they want to kill each other. The terrible misconception about those of us that ship these (personally, one of my favorite dynamics) is that we support abuse and we “get off” to bruised and beat up characters and we’re twisted. Now while I don’t think there’s anything WRONG with being attracted to that dynamic, for myself and many others I’ve seen in different fandoms, Hateships are NOT about abuse - and they are hardly ever based on canon events unless grabbed to use in fanon + AUs. Hateships tend to branch off from canon and form into fanon AUs where we see this chemistry working if x thing happened, or if x thing developed this way instead, etc.

Hateships aren’t all the same - sometimes we get clue-ins that the two characters are able to respect one another to a certain degree, sometimes characters start out hating each other and that changes, or sometimes they save the other’s life unprompted. Little things like that create more initiative for us to think “huh... this could work if circumstances were different”

A lot of time with hate ships, we see how the two characters personalities mesh together SO WELL even though sometimes they appear as total opposites. Like rivalshipping (which it grabs some similarities from) they have grown into a routine of needing each other in some strange way. And we LOVE to explore that.

Another big thing about ships involving hate, is that they are often written and drawn by fans as a couple that HEALS not a couple that ABUSES one another. It’s usually about healing and forgiveness - confused feelings, and really digging into how these characters really dont actually hate each other at all. The fun part is exploring their complicated relationship.

3) Problematic Characters:

*Characters that experience abuse, but have done unforgiveable things:

People tend to assume that liking a character like this means we glorify them, support what they have done (ex: murder, emotionally damaged others, acted out, caused physical harm to others) and fully support them to the point where we want them to be forgiven for the bad things that they’ve done. It varies for every character, but in most instances that is NOT the case. In fact it’s only a handful that call these types of characters “precious characters that did no wrong” and MEAN it. ( a lot of us joke abt it but arent serious ) 

Like I said at the start of this, as someone who’s been abused in both ways I feel like these characters deserve BETTER. Sometimes abused characters are unfairly treated in canon - they arent given help, their help is taken away from them, their abuse turns them into the awful person they are. We want them to have redemption - we want them to have a fair development. We want abused characters to have some understanding, some respect. We are not saying it’s OK that they physically or emotionally hurt others. We are saying we understand them -- sometimes their actions can reflect an abused persons *impulses* that arent acted on. Abuse pain and the inner turmoil goes deep. Abused characters usually end up with a terrible hand, shitty development, and usually die or never get a chance to be understood. 

*Characters that are mentally ill:

Similar to an abused character (sometimes characters fit BOTH) people think we are saying “theyre mentally ill so we should forgive them and support what theyve done” no . no . no. much like the abused character, we SEE how their illness has effected them and again -- how theyve received no help in canon. Thats why ships involving these characters often revolve around rehab, redemption, healing. Typically with both these types of characters we see glimpses of how they were a good person before their trauma effected them. And we want to see more of that person. We want that person to come to life. Because we almost NEVER see abused or mentally ill characters come out alive or with understanding. 

*Villains:  

I know a lot of people don’t grasp this still, but you can like an evil character just because they are just so GOOD at being bad. It doesn’t make YOU a bad person for liking them. It’s fictional and their actions effect no one in real life. Yes, bad content can cause a trigger or a bad feeling - it can hurt. But liking a bad character does NOT MEAN we support bad feelings // things that happen to REAL people. 

Villains tap into dark fiction and it’s PERFECTLY okay to love horror and twisted things in fiction. Not all villains are 100 percent terrible either. Some start as a villain and become a hero. Sometimes, the other way around (a favorite of mine). Nothing about liking a bad character means that you are a bad person. 

What’s relateable about a villain? They aren’t perfect. They have interesting character development and back stories. Usually very dark things have happened in their lives. Sometimes, villains can draw out sympathy whether you see it personally or not.

People need to respect the fact that not all minds think the same. Abused and mentally ill people, do not exist in some bubble where you personally get to decide what content is right and wrong for them to consume.

People joke about “coping” but it’s true - we DO use fiction to cope sometimes and there’s nothing wrong abt it. We DO enjoy the darker side of things sometimes and want to explore it in fiction. There’s nothing wrong with it, and it hurts NO ONE at all.

If anyone tells you that you are hurting them for liking a fictional character or ship, they’re full of shit, plain and simple. You CAN NOT hurt someone by liking fictional pairings and characters.

It is not your fault if content you like triggers someone. It is not your fault if someone doesnt agree with your personal taste. It’s not THEIR fault either. It’s no one’s fault for triggers (unless we intentionally are trying to hurt someone which is shitty dont do that) and uncomfortable feelings arising for simply enjoying something.

It’s an unfortunate thing - we all handle these things differently. But what we have to realize is that all content is consumed differently and we need to respect that. We need to kindly deal with what makes us hurt (and what makes us not hurt) in a respectful manner.

It does no good to claim people are “rapists” “pedophiles” or “support murderers” for simply liking a character or a ship. You can be disgusted. You can rant. You can vent. You can express yourself no one’s stopping you.

But lines are totally CROSSED when you personally attack a person (who probably experienced some abuse of their own - its ,more likely than you think) or even physically attack a REAL LIFE person over content that they like. 

People have been bullied at cons for liking characters like Goro Akechi or Nathan Prescott . People have been called horrible things for liking characters that are deemed “bad” by others. 

I’m not saying pedophilic or legit horrible content doesnt EXIST nor do I condone it (lines to be crossed here too tbh), but it takes a bit of common sense... a common sense a lot of attackers against “problematic” content do not have.

To end this I want to say the most mind-blowing thing to me is a person claiming to be an abuse survivor and then emotionally or physically attacking ANOTHER ABUSE SURVIVOR (or any other type of person really) over what characters they happen to like. That IS abuse. That IS harassment. And you ARE a part of the problem. 

You are not protecting us by hurting us (ABUSE SURVIVORS AND THE MENTALLY ILL) & others .

What amuses and saddens me about newer fandoms’ intense policing in content is that if you applied it to real life, it would be an obvious dictatorship. They don’t seem to realize that there are plenty of published works out there that have similar content to what they’re raging about. Pedophilia, incest, violence, gore, BDSM, and any kind of gritty, kinky thing you can think of.

Newer fictional works I can think of that has these “problematic content that makes people pedophilic incestous violent sexual devils”: Fifty Shades of Gray, Hannibal, and Game of Thrones. Even Twilight can be pedophilic with how Jacob imprints on a child.

Older fictional works I can think of: Star Wars (or did you guys conveniently forget the canon incest scene that happened in one of the movies?), Cardcaptor Sakura (had an elementary schoolgirl being proposed by a teacher, and she accepted, Sakura’s parents are a little better but not much - mom was in highschool and dad was in college when they dated, I CAN GO ON - CLAMP GENERALLY HAS WEIRDASS RELATIONSHIPS), and Harry Potter (beyond the violence, there’s also the part that you’ll symphasize with Merope, the one who drugged a man and raped him constantly until they had a child).

Let’s go older: Lolita, Silence of The Lambs, every horror film and game ever.

Let’s go even older: Oedipus Rex.

Can we get older? Yes we can: Literally any story about the adventures of Zeus’ cock, and the whole family tree of the Ancient Egyptian gods. And also their royal family.

You wanna know the reason why people would rather police works instead of actual pedophiles and sexual harrassers? Actual rapists? You wanna know why they’d rather go for an artist or writer who created something “evil”? Because it’s easier to burn a book rather than completely uproot a rapist and sexually abusive culture. They want to vent, they want to control. They’re ignorant and angry.

So fictional works that have content that is not child friendly and not safe for work? That can be gross and triggerry? That can be depraved and inhumane? They’ve always been there. Yes, it’s problematic that a lot of people online are perverts and harass others. Yes, it’s sad that filtering content is not 100% perfect in archiveofourown (ao3) and other sites most deemed evil. But newsflash: neither is Tumblr.

I’ve read posts about people saying how they encountered horrific content even though they used tags and filtering when they venture ao3, and is therefore bad. I’ve read posts about how they’re part of the Old Fandom and support this extreme policing of content because they were harassed.

If that’s the case, ignore that site and leave. You don’t burn a library to take care of a problem, you don’t shoot a writer to defend justice, and you don’t scream at a book to get what you want. The worst thing to happen to a show is when nobody watches it anymore. The worst fate of a book is when nobody touches it. It’s the same with fanfiction, especially since it’s free content. Don’t like it? Don’t read it.

I remember there was an issue about the Deadpool movie, how it was too violent and crude for children. Parents complained about it. There were two points Reynolds said about that. One, the movie is not for kids. Two, why are you bringing your kids to watch it?

It’s the same logic. If the content is not for you, stop watching/looking/reading it. Internet is more flexible than published works, true. But it was WORSE before. No safe search, no tags, little warnings, literal surpise buttsex in fanfiction, and porn galore. It’s young, much younger than the movie and book industry, so of course its warning system isn’t as perfect as the real word. The older fandoms tried and did a good job considering the messy lawsuits that appeared, what happens now is mostly on newer fandoms. And you guys have a better start since the stigma of fanfiction has lessened.

You don’t burn Fifty Shades of Gray to keep bdsm content from you, and you don’t accuse the writers of Deadpool for being evil because they wrote a Marvel script that isn’t child-friendly. You compromise, you create a system, and you try to understand why these fictional works exist.

Let me try this policing and anti logic newer fandoms have, to see if it has sense.

I’ve seen more porn blogs and bullies in this site than the amount of alpha-beta smut in ao3. I’ve had porn blogs reblog my art of a child with his guardians (for my followers, it’s my [tiny and terrifyingly cute au]). I’ve had porn blogs reblog my posts about the accounts of victims of torture from my country’s martial law. I’ve never had ao3 writers plagiarize my work for porn. I’ve seen more people attacking someone who draws fanart rather than someone who creates those disgusting blogs. From that logic, anyone who uses Tumblr must be evil.

Of course, you’d defend that not all of you are like that. You’d defend that you’re fixing it. You’d defend it’s not that simple.

And what? You don’t think people from older fandoms aren’t trying? We’re all disgusting pedophiles? You think that our problems are simple? That most of us aren’t trying to give warnings and tags? That filtering content is easy? Tumblr failed so badly in doing that!

So instead of being angry that somebody posted their works, maybe consider you’re a problem yourself. There’s a difference between reality and fiction. I don’t expect the writer of Silence of the Lambs to do cannibalism, I don’t expect Ryan Reynolds to be a red ninja assasin who’s crude. I don’t expect Anne Rice, writer of vampiric sexy times, to be evil by sexually harassing her fans. She’s already an asshole without being erotic. H.P Lovecraft was also an asshole, just so you know. He didn’t have to write gratuitous smut to do it.

I know it’s easier to judge someone based on their fics and art, but either take the time to actually know them or ignore them altogether. Never judge a book by its warnings, and never judge an author by their books.
