You know we only see one week of their lives right?

It makes no logical sense why the fans think Jonathan isn't close with the boys. We only see one week of their lives and usually they are separated into teams which I personally still find stupid because if they just all kept in touch during this whole thing and told each other stuff and worked as a team that would just be super. But the point is, the writers should not need to keep re-hashing stuff we already know. We already know Jonathan and the boys are close. It's like saying that because the boys are barely seen together anymore that means they're not friends anymore-its like no. They clearly are. We just don't see them together THAT WEEK. That's all. I just don't understand the fans logic. I'd love it more than anyone if we saw a lot more scenes of Jonathan and the boys talking/interacting, but they have too many characters, Jonathans only allowed 5 minutes of screentime per season. Yk? They got to focus on the main overall story not hey wait lets stop for a minute to add filler fluff about Jonathan and the boys even though the fans should already know it. We saw it in S1.

The obvious:

Short vers: Why wouldn't Jonathan and the boys be close? Everyone treated Will like dirt, but they thought Will was amazing and special. They'd love and appreciate anyone who felt that way about Will: meaning each other.

The boys who were bullied would also love Jonathan for thinking the world of them for being unique and special/different. While the boys were hated by Hawkins for being different, Jonathan would think the world of them, and they'd love him for being so kind to them and thinking the world of them when basically no one else did.

The boys and Jonathan also would appreciate each other for taking are of Will being so protective of him.

Jonathan would worship the ground the boys walked on for doing all they do for Will and the feeling is mutual.

They'd also love him for everything he does for Will [being the opposite of Lonnie who hurts Will/Lonnie who they hate]: Jonathan always sacrificing and putting Will's needs and wants before his own.

It wouldn't make any sense to me that Jonathan and the boys wouldn't be close. So I don't get where people are getting that. It's not only the above, but its also the fact that the rare times we've seen Jonathan and the boys together or even talking about each other, it shows how close they are especially in S1.
