We transcend words, our relationship. That tether goes beyond this realm and this life.

i absolutely adore that brennan did neverafter, a specifically horror season, and then aabria has rocked into the dome twice since and horrified brennan. real "with all due respect, anything you can do, i can do better. on your turf, even" energy
dgmw neverafter was, in fact, quite scary, but personally, i did find the visceral horror of burrow's end and the psychological terror of peloton segway island more impactful.

god i LOVE tv. even better when it's tv that presents relatable problems like "what if i agree to be boyfriends with the cute boy i really really like but then our relationship is great until one day something bad happens and he wants to go back to being a penguin" 💖

Serendipity should be required viewing material before anyone tries to analyze Homestuck; not only is John Cusack a universal constant, but the themes and vibes of Serendipity are so fundamentally woven into Homestuck's DNA that several of Serendipity's thesises and conversations could be lifted directly from one to the other.
In particular, the way Serendipity utilizes coincidence and circumstantially simultaneous events in order to suggest - nay, decree - that the two leads belong together, is highly reminiscent of the way Hussie uses foreshadowing, and not just for romantic couples. It's also a major window into the ultimate stance Homestuck takes with regard to romance, fate, and destiny, and also more specifically, a really good look at Karkat's own personal philosophies of romance. There's a running theme in his movies of meeting someone that perfectly matches your freak, someone you don't ever need to compromise yourself around, who brings out the best in you.
Also, some of yall need to watch a shitty romcom every once in a while and develop some emotions

To me the fun of Arceus is that it's like, what if God where a whale? It doesn't really engage with humanity that much because, it's a whale. It's probably slightly biased towards the whales.
It's intelligent and it's benevolent and it wants to help humans but it cannot comprehend the human mind any more than we can comprehend the whale mind and so it doesn't always fully understand what helping looks like. You can worship the whale, but it's not going to intuit what that means any more than we can intuit migration patterns.
It's just a whale in space, and it doesn't know what you're asking of it

I think the fandom's hate for DA2 often forgets that the devs were forced into a like, 15 month development cycle by EA. It was pretty clear in how the game's levels were designed and reused, and it couldn't be polished into something more. But, what we got was a micro-level scale story with macro-scale consequences to the overall story of the series; it was a personal journey of an everyday person and all of their friends living in a shitty city, enduring the impossible stories of grief and change, all while dealing with the overarching consequences of the conflicts caused by a religious-political institution in real time.
Also, DA2 gave us Meredith, who is, by and large, not a god or supernatural entity, but just a woman, who was allowed far too much power that went entirely unchecked during her reign. It's a reflection of real world politicians and military leaders, which therefore makes her the most realistic type of villain in the series (and that's long before they gave her the red lyrium idol to turn her into a Boss Fight™).
Ultimately the other aspects of the games in this series - the level design, the combat, music, etc. - are all going to be subjective, especially when in comparison to the other games / your own personal preferences, but to say that it's just "objectively bad" when the story in and of itself is a departure from the other games where you get put into the role of Designated Hero™, whereas Hawke, for the most part, is Just Some Guy (gender neutral) (and this is also why I enjoy Rook in a similar-ish kind of way, where you accidentally become important at work), is really missing the point of what they were trying to do. I fully stand by the point that if Kirkwall got the DAV environment treatment today, it would be way more popular than it is.

And this got me. Karan tried so hard to be the worker he wanted to be but the people around him wanted him to be something else entirely and only Achi saw past that, only Achi was watching what he did and listening to him. Because Achi sees into people despite himself. he sees past facades because he is really listening as long as it's not about him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is why Karan loves Achi and you can see it. Achi sees his work, the same way Karan learned to see what Achi did. Achi sees that what the client was doing is wrong and what their bosses were doing is wrong because he sees people rather than goals.
Tumblr media
And it's Achi's kindness, Achi natural kindness and urge to comfort people, Achi's way of seeing everyone around him as better than himself that lets him offer comfort no one else could or would. Achi sees the people around and cares for them and the way he puts people above himself leaves him kind and understanding

Achi gave Karan a gift of kindness and in return Karan discovered something even deeper.

one thing that's good about every version of cherry magic is that by virtue of its core premise, and, indeed, the full title of the japanese series (Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?!) you know that you will be getting at least one character who is at least thirty years old. and i can't tell you how much i love when characters are at least thirty years old. it's excellent, we should do more of that

"A Ghanaian-English entrepreneur has designed an electric bike from the ground up that’s transforming short-range transportation in her home country, proving that problem-solving in Africa can be done in Africa, by Africans.
[Valerie Labi's] company, Wahu!, assembles each bike by hand, and they can travel up to 80 miles [128 kilometers] on a single charge. This means that a delivery rider for Glovo or Bolt can comfortably cover a whole day’s work without refueling.
Anyone who’s visited Accra, Ghana, in the dry season will remember the incredibly poor air quality. Poor roads mean that cars are stuck in second and third gears, and old cars traveling in second and third gears mean plenty of extra car exhaust.
Poor roads also mean exposed dirt, and exposed dirt means fine-grained dust. Combined with a lack of rain, the smog, dust, and car exhaust make the air in parts of the capital unfit for human health.
Wahu! bikes help alleviate all three of these problems, and despite her English nativity [Note: Super weird and unclear way to phrase it?] and education, the bikes were designed and manufactured in Spintex, Accra.
“By introducing electric bikes into Ghana’s transportation ecosystem, we’re not only providing a greener alternative but also offering speed and convenience,” Labi told The Mirror. “Our bikes are a testament to how service delivery can be seamlessly merged with environmental conservation.”
Valerie Labi is a true inspiration, and besides her transportation company, she got her start in the Ghanaian economy in sanitation. She holds a chieftaincy title as Gundugu Sabtanaa, given to her by the previous Chief of the Dagbon traditional area in the Northern Region of Ghana. She has three children, holds a double major in Economics and Sustainability from two separate universities, and has visited 59 countries.
Getting her start in Northern Ghana, she founded the social enterprise Sama Sama, a mobile toilet and sanitation company that now boasts 300,000 clients.
During her travels around the small, densely populated country, she also recognized that transportation was not only a problem, but offered real potential for eco-friendly solutions.
“It took us two years to effectively design a bike that we thought was fit for the African road, then we connected with Jumia and other delivery companies to get started,” she told The Mirror. “Currently, I have over 100 bikes in circulation and we give the bikes on a ‘work and pay’ basis directly to delivery riders.”
According to Labi, each driver pays about 300 Ghana cedis, or about $24.00, per week to use the bike, which can travel 24 miles per hour, and hold over 300 pounds of weight. The fat tires are supported by double-crown front/double-spring rear suspension.
The bikes are also guaranteed by the company’s proprietary anti-theft system of trackers. Only a single bike has been stolen, and it was quickly located and returned to the owner."

My most unpopular Zelda opinion is that I sincerely think LOZ is at its worst when it's trying to tell some serious epic fantasy story. Like nobody agrees with me on this but it's a hill I'll die on.
