Hello there, I would like to ask you about a specific scenario for the best friend squad:

If they were tricked by an imposter thief disguising as one of them (not double trouble) who left one of them for dead and stole they're items, what do you think they'd do?

Ooooh! That's a juicy one.

As amply demonstrated by Double Trouble, the Best Friends Squad's biggest strength - their friendship - is exploitable by a suitably amoral trickster. And despite all make up hugs and tears and friendship work, the old hurt and insecurity still lingers. Perhaps even more so for Catra, who already feels like she doesn't belong.

So if a new trickster played the same trick on them, and then left one of them for dead, the entire rest of the Best Friend Squad would go 100% into PROTEC! mode. Especially if the imposter managed to manipulate them into a new arguments, both Adora and Glimmer would remember last time and go into hyper friendship mode to overcompensate. This might even come as something of a relief. If they feel bad because the imposter has caused strife between them, and they suddenly realize that all those bad feelings actually have a simply, punchable solution, then they will jump on it.

Depending on the exact scenario, this could manifest in different ways, but all of them would involve dramatically rushing to the aid of the left-for-dead person. If they don't know where they are, they would turn all of Etheria inside out until they find them (which most likely would involve a fun 'not me this time' scene with Double Trouble). If the lost person were somehow imprisoned or under attack by monsters or the like, things would get very explody very fast.

The lost possessions would mostly be an afterthought. The important part is that the friendship trust was breached and that need to be amended FAST! The person who got impostered and replaced NEEDS to feel loved and cherished and treasured and SAFE! If part that process involve hunting down the thief and beating the snot of them, so be it. The important part is that any and all friendship damage is undone.

genuinely find it so wholesome how adora mentioned to glimmer that she wasn't used to sleeping without people and felt lonely and that the bed felt really weird to her and glimmer and bow really said say no more like.

One of many truly tragic things about Cal Kestis is how much literally any clones from the war would have fuckin adored this scrappy little bastard. Like. Please picture Fives of "let's steal these umbaran fighters and use them to bomb enemy lines" fame meeting Cal "we used to scrap AT-ATs I'll just go commandeer one" Kestis (in a context where Cal would not immediately try to kill Fives)

as much as i hate horde prime i gotta admire how he showed up and humbled the fuck out of everyone. like SO many characters had an Oh Fuck moment where they realised there was so much more to everything than whatever feelings they had about the war on etheria. like he's the fucked up reason why catra and adora managed to rekindle their bond. and why glimmer was able to see she was wrong and apologise to the best friend squad. and the catalyst for glimmer and catra's friendship. and why hordak was able to realise he cared more about the genuine love he had from one person on etheria than anything else he'd ever achieved there. in conclusion I LOVE SEASON 5 YOU CAN PRY IT FROM MY COLD DEAD HANDS.
