can you genuinely, i mean so genuinely not copy a creator who's already been through and is going through rough shit? i thought you were an alt of chocoperrito's, i saw you were "heavily inspired", same style and similar intro, this is plain disrespectful and cruel to do to an artist who's already stated they're not okay with that.

i hope you can find it in your heart to at least apologize to hym.

hey , saw this and genuinely wanted to address it as my intentions are genuinely not to copy anyone , let alone cause harm . summary is all the way down under the cut ( last paragraph )

first of all , i'm sorry to hear that reki isn't doing well . i hope hy'll get better soon , but i couldn't have known he wasn't in a well mental state because i don't want to and can't interact with hys blog . i've been blocked quite a while ago , just after the first post i made on this blog . what happened will stay private as requested , but ive apologised and as far as i know , we made up . hy doesn't want to interact with me and i respect his boundaries .

talking of boundaries , i did not know hy was uncomfortable with people getting inspired by his art style . it is true that i took inspiration from hym , but to be fair all i took inspiration from was the shape of fur . my colour theory was fully taught to me by ashenoranges , round shapes have been inspired by another artist who does not want to be named , the way i draw hands along with cartoon-ish ( and also the round shapes ) by an artist on tiktok whose name i forgot ( but did a lot of utau / fell art , something along the lines of pupbiteez ) and the eyes i've just always drawn that way because i adapted it from when i just started getting into animation memes , but i tend to add tearducts too ( which i've adapted from p0ny.world ) . also , i love the chalky way calciumdreams's and yokoneko's art looks which i'm trying to work on getting into my art . i also mentioned some other artists in a previous ask about my artstyle , those artists also provide me references for when i'm trying to draw animals that stand on all fours .

asked one of my friends if they had any art of reki saved , for comparison . i guess i can see the similarities ?

the thing is that i use several outlines and lots of rendering on top of it and use a shade between green and orange always - when reki uses one line-art layer , has highlights instead of shadows in the hair , usually a blue shade and overall has thinner line-art where parts between similar parts of clothing and / or fur gets coloured differently in line-art .

i'm not saying my and reki's styles do not look extremely similar or that he never said anything about not liking inspiration , but i did not copy ( or at least INTEND to copy ) hym , neither did i ( key word , i ) ever read he was uncomfortable with inspiration . if you would like to provide proof then i'd love to have you dm it to me /gen

my intro post had taken me quite a few months to come up with , going through a few things to get inspiration from . however , i can see why you think i copied him , especially with how i provided my links . asked a friend of mine to provide a screenshot of reki's blog to compare them after you sent this ask . to clarify - i actually got inspo for my graphic and the stars between links from a friend of mine , who used to make simple transparent background graphics and used the 𓈒 symbol in between links instead . since i'm a pretty big fan of stars , i used stars instead . went through tags to find introduction posts that i could take inspo from , which mostly used different colours , and since i usually use orange or green shades in my art ( since they're my favourite colours ) i thought i'd apply that to highlight parts i thought were important . just talked a bit about me , connected a link to my identity in case you want to get to know me better , provided a link to my toy house in case you wanted to see my characters , then talked a bit about asks because i barely really got any before . it looked a bit empty at that point , so i thought i'd largen up something , but doing that at the top of the post seemed like it went from big to small and i didn't like that . moved the links to the bottom , largened them up and that seemed pretty good . but now it was a bit empty on top of the page , so after messing around with the graphic i realised that maybe i should add something that would devide the graphic from the text - a divider . now everything looked tidy , while not being too little nor too much . a link to stuff that went more into detail ,, perfect right ? but ;

i can totally see why you think they look familiar : same colours , same link stuff , separate part about the inbox , divider between texts and images , but i don't have access to reki's blog so i wouldn't have known . even if i did before , i wouldn't have remembered that in the past 2 months where i was much more busy with other stuff than remembering what someone else's , who didn't want to interact with me , intropost looked like .

HOWEVER ! i do acknowledge that my EMOTE art looks incredibly - extremely , almost completely identical to hys . hand shapes , eye shapes , body shapes , even the yellow body and line-art , the SHADING - all of that . i guess that comes with having similar artstyles , then also worrying about whether or not your art looks ok . i actually asked a friend of mine what i could change about my art so other people would maybe like or use it more , and they said that i only ever use harsh - thick lines , so i should keep the line-art simple and try airbrushing stuff . this is basically what reki did , and so i did use one of hys emotes from a server i'm in as a reference - i really liked the result , and posted it not thinking about how familiar they looked despite literally having his emotes and mine side by side for comparison .

they're extremely similar , especially the little closed eyes and blush . they both have that little red eyelid bit above their eyes and shaded cheeks + hands . i admit this is my fault for not having realised earlier how i basically copied hys style , and i'll try to make it more into my own style next time . i'm unsure of how to yet , but i'll figure something out .

also , besides all that , i'm not really copying his appearances , sonas , other stuff hy might have made . the yellow guy is pretty popular after all since it doesn't have an actual appearance or anything that would relate to identity and can be interpreted as anyone . sure , there's blogs like k9emotes who make white sillies instead of yellow , but i prefer using yellow and i'm also going to use these emotes . not saying i won't change how i'll draw them , this is just a reason , but that's why my and hys emotes look so similar — they're exactly what i and my friends would like emotes to look like if we're going to use them frequently .

all of this is not an excuse but simply an explanation so i hope everything is more clear . as stupid as it may sound , the intro post was truly a coincidence . my art looks similar to hys ( but not that much ) because he was an inspiration , but not my only inspiration and definitely not my biggest but the hair / fur is something i do use the most . i deeply apologise for any harm i have done and crossing unknown boundaries , but i'm afraid i can't directly apologise to reki as he doesn't want to interact with me , boundaries are boundaries .

long story short — yes i got inspired by the fur , the intro post was purely coincidental , unconsciously took too much inspo from emotes , i apologise for what i did but can't apologise directly bc im blocked .

TW: GN reader, yandere, rebels?, manipulation, adult Damian Wayne (inspired and mostly based off of Damian in Batman beyond & Injustice 2: Gods among us), and Damian might be a TW of his own at this point...

A request by @desertangel12 : Hi, can you do a yandere one shot or headcanon for Yandere older Damian Wayne with a reader who is an alien senator or queen like Padme from Star Wars but include that she has a fighting style like a Jedi (especially Ahsoka's fighting style if you know her).

I mean, aliens aren’t unheard of within the vigilante world. There are heroes like the Martian Manhunter, Miss Martian, Starfire, Superman and so on. Aliens are surprisingly common within vigilante circles.

So, perhaps Batman was chosen to be Earth’s representative on a diplomatic mission to the planet you ruled over, maybe it was a sort of peace talk, to ensure that neither Earth nor your planet got in each other’s way or caused unduly distress for the other.. Damian, through being Batman’s sidekick, would join his father’s side as they both made for your planet.

I can imagine that Damian is quite taken by you the moment he sees you. Whether you look exactly like a human or is simply humanoid. Damian believes that you resemble a piece of art.

The youngest Robin somehow manages to always sit or stand right next to you during meetings, even though Bruce directly ordered his son to stay next to him at all times. You will be none the wiser of his inappropriate knack for staying close to you, after all, you know nothing of earth’s customs and assume it to be a show of peace that one of Earth’s envoys prefers to be close to you.

Perhaps Damian approaches you after one of the many meetings required to fill out the peace treaty. You’ll at first think he has a question regarding the treaty, but instead, he asks you to show him around the city in which you reside.

Now, let us assume that you speak English. Perhaps you’ve been taught previously or perhaps your race just knows all languages. Whatever it may be, you’re delighted that the strange young man, who calls himself Robin, requests to know more about your civilisation. It is, after all, important to know the culture with which you sign treaties.

Whether Damian needs some type of oxygen mask to inhale your atmosphere or not, you get him ready to exit the diplomatic housing within which you have all been residing since the humans’ arrival.

Damian is fascinated by your entire culture, but he is especially interested in the buildings’ architecture, the art of your people and the strange little animals that look like nothing from earth, but which you call pets.

The two of you really connect on a deeply personal level and it feels as if you just click. As if the two of you were made for each other like two puzzle pieces. Damian expresses this feeling to you and you agree, exclaiming, “It’s a shame we were born on two different planets. If I had met you under different circumstances we could’ve been the best of friends”. That sets Damian off, because yes if you had only been born close enough to each other, he is sure that the two of you would have gravitated towards each other like magnets.

As the days go on, you admit to Damian that he is probably already one of the best friends you have ever had. You explain how your entire life was shaped for you to be the best leader of your planet that you could possibly be, that your existence held no other purpose, and as such, you never really made any lasting friendships. Damian is shocked, not by what you’ve told him, but by how similar it is to his situation. He too experienced the exact same thing when he was younger... back when he was being formed into the perfect leader of the League of Assassins. This admission of yours makes Damian feel the need to protect you. He managed to escape his fate, but you’re living it. Damian has friends now, and he has a proper family. You’re living the life you were forced into. Whether or not you enjoy that life is of no concern to Damian. He sees it as you being tortured by the life that has been forced upon you.

Damian will insist on hanging out with you even more, and you might start to feel a little trapped in his company. But you have no one else to talk to, his father is certainly not any great conversationalist. So, you decide to just relax in Damian’s presence and let him do all those weird human things that they apparently do with friends… Like, needing to know where you are at all times, or making sure that no one else enters within an arm length’s radius of you... Such curious creatures they are...

Yeah, that’s just what those weird humans do with their friends. Damian confirms this, and you think to yourself, “Well… If anyone knows about human customs, it must be a human!” It’s this thought process that not only allows Damian to indulge in all his yandere tendencies, but also makes you defend him against your own council, who think that the human known as Robin is getting a little too close to you…

Damian and you might start to flirt a little. At first, it was you who did it jokingly. Damian did not see the joke. The Robin takes your flirting as a declaration of love, and if there is one thing the Al Ghuls are known for, it is their intense courting. Damian will make quick work of the whole affair. If it had been on Earth, he might’ve gotten you flowers and other gifts you might enjoy. He doesn’t have that opportunity on a foreign planet. So, instead, he’ll take out his trusty sketchbook and pencil, then proceed to draw as many portraits of you as he has pages for. When he is done, he’ll give them all to you, along with his heart.

I can imagine you’ll probably accept his feelings, he’s the only real friend you have after all. The only person who ever treated you like a person and not as the leader of your planet. Of course, he’s the only one you can see yourself getting involved with! However, you warn him that your relationship must remain hidden. Your people wouldn’t accept a human as your spouse. Not so easily at least. And if your parents are still alive, they would never allow you to get involved with, what is in your eyes, an alien. Damian hates that you don’t want your love out in the open, but he will relent after much convincing. “If that is your wish, beloved. But I see no reason to hide what is surely destiny.”

Everything goes fine for a while. The peace treaty is slowly getting finished and Damian dreads having to go back to Earth without you. He debates whether or not he should simply kidnap you, but he realises that’d be an open declaration of war, and Earth cannot withstand your planet’s forces directing their aggression towards the little blue planet.

However, Damian doesn’t need to kidnap you, because a traumatic event unfolds. You’re attacked by a rebel force, led by a distant uncle of yours, intent on taking your place of power for himself. The only way he can do that though? Well, by killing you, of course!

Damian is at your side the second the attacks start, believing you to be one of those politicians who are incapable of protecting themselves. Well, you’re no Earthling and that is certainly not how politicians are on your planet.

You’re a formidable fighter, using a strong defence quickly followed by fast and aggressive counterattacks. Damian barely knows what hit him as he watches you tear through hundreds of your uncle’s soldiers. You cannot take them all down, however, and Damian quickly joins your side. Your fighting styles match up pretty well, you’re both aggressive fighters who do not hesitate to jump directly into the action. With your powers combined, (and a healthy dose of help from your own guards), you’re able to push your uncle’s forces back and otherwise decimate whatever is left within your walls.

Bruce is disappointed in Damian after the fight. He killed and otherwise maimed hundreds of men along your side. It goes directly against Bruce’s ‘No killing rule’. Yet, Bruce is not so stuck up as to not see the necessity of the fight and the near-impossibility of not snuffing out a few lives. He is, however, concerned with how much Damian seemed to enjoy cutting down multiple people, just to protect you.

After the attack, it is decided that you’ll be safer on Earth while you write up the last parts of the peace treaty, and perhaps for a little while after. Bruce, who pities you for the heartbreak of having your own family betray you, offers to let you stay at Wayne manor. It is, after all, one of the most secure places on Earth, as well as rather inconspicuous looking.

You accept his offer, and, in private, Bruce lets you know of both his and Damian’s secret identities. You’re hurt that Damian didn’t let you know himself, before the attack, but you also understand the risk that they’ve taken just to come here, not to mention the months that they’ve ripped out of their former schedules, just for the sake of peace. Damian might apologise for not letting you know earlier, but you assure him that you understand.

Once back on Earth, Damian becomes ever more hyper-vigilant. He’ll ask you to not leave Wayne manor for fear of someone outside of the home not understanding your situation or attempting to attack you. (This will be especially bad if you don’t look entirely human). At first, you’ll understand where he’s coming from. It would both be dangerous for you to leave the manor, and it would also be risky for the Waynes. Not only could their secret identities be revealed, (especially if the existence of your planet is widespread knowledge), but if your uncle finds out where you’re hiding, he could end up attacking Earth, and more specifically the Waynes, as a way to get to you.

So, for a long time, you stay within the manor. Damian. Is. Ecstatic. He’s getting everything just how he wants it. You’re literally living with him, on Earth. This was exactly what he dreamed of.

Alfred will know of you two��s secret relationship immediately, nothing escapes his eyes, especially not the lovey-dovey glances you throw at each other over the dinner table. Alfred finds it adorable. He has never seen Damian so happy, and he quite likes you as a person. “What a nice match”, he’ll think. Still, Damian’s obsessiveness doesn’t escape him either. It worries him, the intensity with which Damian stares at you, or the way he makes sure his more youthful brothers are nowhere near you… Alfred is concerned. He’ll keep the relationship a secret, though, mostly for your sake…

Bruce might find out relatively quickly as well. He’s observant, and it’s hard to miss how often you and Damian hang out… and how you guys are sharing Damian’s bedroom… He will sit both of you down and have a talk about the dangers of such a relationship. He won’t be wholly unsupportive, but he is afraid of the repercussions of such a union. Bruce doesn’t pick up on Damian’s yandere tendencies though. Bruce has very little idea of how a normal relationship looks, so he’s not really able to discern anything inherently wrong with Damian’s obsessiveness and possessiveness, he just sees it as a lover’s reaction to their other half being in mortal danger. But Damian needs to watch out because if his father gets wind of his tendencies, he’ll make sure to keep the two of you separated. He’s not nearly as forgiving with his youngest son as he is with his older ones.

As the peace treaty is signed, finished and sent back to your council for approval, you slowly start to prepare for a return to your home planet. Damian is not amused. He desperately tries to convince you to stay on your own accord. Whispering words of love and his anguished need for you at his side while you’re together in his bed at night.

You want to stay with him, you truly do. Yet, you know that your entire planet is counting on your return. You have been trained your entire life to set your own wants aside for the good of the people and even with Damian holding you close…so impossibly close, you know that you can’t give in to his demands.

A few days before you’re set to return to your home planet, the hidden location that you were meant to rule from, while your uncle’s troops were slain, is blown up. No one knows how the rebels knew where you were meant to go, it’s a mystery and everyone suspects that it’s one of your council members that has betrayed you… Everyone except Damian.

In reality, your council is entirely loyal to you and you alone. Still, there was someone who sent off a message to your uncle about where you were supposed to be. Someone interested in you staying in hiding on another planet. Yes, of course, it was Damian who told the rebels.

After your hiding location is discovered, another is found. Yet, that one is similarly blown into smithereens. The next one too, the one after that as well, and so on. It is finally, (at the suggestion of Damian), decided that you will move to Earth indefinitely. Your people are supportive of the decision, rather a leader who lives on another planet, than no leader at all.

You’re crushed. You feel as if you are the worst leader to have ever ruled your planet, yet Damian is there to reassure you that you aren’t a failure and that you’ve just been dealt terrible cards.

I can imagine Damian seemingly doing everything in his power to help your army crush the rebellion, yet, he is actually the one feeding your uncle just enough information to keep the planet too dangerous for you to return to. This is, obviously, not within anyone’s knowledge except Damian, your uncle and perhaps Grayson… He always loved his youngest brother the most, and if you make his baby bird happy, then he’ll keep the green-eyed man’s involvement in your exile a secret.

When you’ve been on Earth for a while, your council starts to press you for a politically advantageous marriage. Damian, (who is considered a war hero on your planet at this point), offers himself up as a possible candidate and your planet’s population is elated. It’s like a fairytale to them. You, of course, accept his proposal, (what other choice do you have). I can see your engagement being broadcasted to your entire planet as a way to keep morals and support for your reign high. It works wonders and Damian becomes the entire planet’s sweetheart… A James Dean for aliens, if you will.

After years of staying with the Waynes, you have never seen the outside of the house. But that’s okay, you weren’t used to being allowed out much on your home planet either. At least here on Earth you now have a husband, and maybe a few friends in the form of Bruce, Alfred and Grayson, (I could see Damian letting you interact with those three, and those three only!)

Maybe, if you’re willing and able, you’ll get a few half-alien heirs, which might end up as vigilantes like Mar’i Grayson, or maybe Damian will keep them locked up behind closed doors, like you.

Damian won’t be disappointed or anything if you don’t want kids, heck! You might not even be able to have any together if your alien race doesn’t genetically match up with humans! Then the two of you will simply grow old together, with you never leaving the manor and no one knowing of Damian’s involvement in the civil war.

Perhaps, decades down the line, some alien historians will dig up Damian’s letters to your uncle and he will be known as the biggest traitor across all of time and space. However, you’re both dead and gone by then, so Damian couldn’t care less.

I tried to research briefly Ahsoka's fighting style, but I've never watched Clone Wars or any other media where she was a major character, so I'm not too sure how well I did on that... God, I'm probably going to rewatch the entirety of Hazbin for weeks, something I occasionally do with Helluva. Again, both mostly just passive interests away from my blog... until the actual show dropped and my absolute hyperfixation mode went haywire

Say what you want about the plot and designs themselves, I understand if it's not someone's cup of tea (Personally, I don't particularly like South Park, Family Guy, or Rick and Morty (anymore)), and the fact that it's pretty rushed, a fact I'll certainly agree with, but it is a fucking ACHIEVEMENT

I LOVE the busy designs and saturated colors, even if most are shades of red (If I had a show, it'd be mostly green and purple, lmao). I love the hand drawn and more cartoony style with fantastic VFX animation and backgrounds. I love the concept of Heaven vs Hell with demons and angels where angels can suck and demons can be good. I actually like that Adam was an entitled asshole because he didn't have to try for his wives, they were made FOR him

I don't go around looking for adult animation anymore because there's so many fucking Family Guy and Rick and Morty repetitive ass shows that use rigging and the same goddamn adult animation art style formula. Brickleberry, Paradise PD, American Dad, so on and so forth. Episodic drivel that KIND of teases a plot to keep you watching but it's the television equivalent of empty calories that you put on in the background. I stopped watching Rick and Morty after season 4 because it was just keeping the carrot on the stick way too far for me to care enough to keep watching (that and the whole Justin Roiland fiasco)

There's good adult shows, don't get me wrong, but almost nothing ANIMATED that's substantial and fun. There's a few, but it's smothered under Family Guy copycats and horribly stiff rigging that's cheap and bland by this point, and some are just downright depressing (Sorry Bojack and Tuca, I just couldn't handle you, I'm already sad half the time). To be honest, I almost didn't watch Inside Job because of the style, and even though it was mostly episodic it was fantastic!

Why can't I, for the decades of life I presumably still have past 18, have life in an animation made for adults? Charm? Pizzazz? Plot and color and FUN? Fucking anything more than the capitalistic weeds that choke the market just to turn a profit for the companies involved. I get it. Companies need to make a profit or they'll go in the red, lose money, yada, yada

But, in an already bleak fucking world where it's only getting bleaker and some corporations want to replace NINETY percent of an animated film/show process to AI eventually? I'm choked and burnout and everyday feels like there's no point in trying to make anything because the fucking programs will do it for us anyways, probably by stealing MORE from people who try. I don't need to see Meg from Family Guy get farted on or abused for no reason, or the Family Guy rip off equivalents that do it for shock value. I don't need copypaste stale material or IP revivals that beat over original ideas because they're safe and nostalgic, inevitably fucking up most of the time

Hazbin Hotel is far from perfect, but it got greenlit. It got picked up. It got to be written and MADE. I can almost guarantee you that Amazon only gave them eight episodes to start with, without certainty on whether or not it would be continued with them. I can almost guarantee you they had SOMEONE keep an eye on Helluva Boss's reception on YouTube to see if it would be profitable enough to continue Hazbin (After all, similar target demographic, right?) and the team wasn't informed until halfway through full production of season one that they'd get a second one. There may have even been the chance of them dropping Hazbin if Helluva's numbers didn't stay up

I love Hazbin and Helluva with so much of my heart because they're small oasis's in the corporate world that would prefer people work the warehouse and not the arts. Yes, I know Hazbin is on Amazon and 'Amazon bad', but if it's not encouraged by viewage (Which I'm sure it's doing well in right now) then original works will continue to be looked over in favor of shitty reboots or live action recreations

▪︎ REDESIGNING UBERCORN ☆

What if I made an Ubercorn design?? Well, imagine no more, because I just did!! When I redesign the characters, it's always to add more detail and flair, NEVER because I hate a design. Plus, the canon outfits are a little too plain for my art style. So here's what's hopefully the first post in my new redesign series, of Ubercorn!!

I stuck mostly to Ubercorn's 70s and 80s inspired disco look, giving his jumpsuit a bit of an upgrade, making it look a little bit less like a baby's onesie. The top half resembles the canon one a little, still being white with a star pattern, but I deviated from there with a purple star button, a deep neck with a popped collar, blue diamond patches on the arms, and Rainbow sleeve cuffs. The bottom half of the suit deviates a little more from the canon suit, but I encorporated the canon suit's blue into this part, creating a blue-to-teal glittery gradient that stands out amongst the Go Jetters' solid-colour suits. His pants also have the same Rainbow cuffs, creating a bit of unity in the look.

I also tried to encorperate some more modern aesthetics into the look, to account for Ubercorn's love of high technology. I replaced his goggles with a star-shaped visor, with a purple and red gradient which pays homage to his old goggles. Additionally, I decided to give him a protective hairstyle, as in flashbacks or photographs in the episodes, we see that Ubercorn has 4C hair !! I wanted to bring that into his modern look, while still keeping a similar energy to his original hairstyle, so I chose to give him braids, which he wears half put-up, and half down! His tail is also braided, to match ! He also has a little bit of a beard because I just think it looks nice. Don't question how it works if he's covered in fur. Shh. The rest of the design is pretty much the same, with his horn receiving a slight curve, his hooves staying shiny, and giving him some cheek fluff, and earrings. His eyes are a cyan-blue, as I headcanon that Unicorns and other antro horse species to have thevprinter-ink colours as their natural eye colour options. And that's the deep dive into my design !!! ♡♡♡

I really hope that you like my redesign, I'm very proud of it!! I love to create these redesigns, and would eventually like to do the whole cast in this style. This would mean also drawing the Funky Four; Xuli, Kyan, Lars and Foz, then Grandmaster Glitch (& the Grimbots!!) and Tala. I would also love to include my design for JetPad's holographic human form, as to include her in the main group too. If I wanted to further extend it, I could also do Professor Wave, Professor Nouveau, or Finn! I will have to see how I go for time, could take a couple months until I am actually free enough to do all of this, if any. If there's enough positive reception on this, I'll have to get to work sooner !!

On the future of TFA SG

From time to time I'll get messages about when/if I will be updating the SG comic. Lately I had been considering quickly sketching over whatever needs filling in and just dumping part 2/3 of the latest comic. While many parts of it will be filled with incomplete art at least people can get a conclusion to the comic as that story was meant to serve as a starting point/"origin" of the AU my friend and I had created.

As you can tell I found myself working on other things than the comic since it's not my job and I don't get paid for it. Making those comics were fun and rewarding as it was great practice for learning how to make comics which I've applied to my own creations/stories. Heck just this year I began working on a dating sim with this same friend that I think has a lot of potential. When that will release I can't say but I hope others look forward to updates on it's status and when it's complete.

It may disappoint some but I had planned on after uploading parts 2/3 of that story I would probably cease making more comics. In total that comic would be 18 pages long, and that's a lot of work for a fan comic that makes no money and is done in my free time. Especially when I'm sort of mimicking an art style that isn't mine. That's a lot of work for one artist who's laying out the comics, sketching, inking, colors, etc. I still like the potential TFA SG has, but any future art I do for it will probably be sketches or doodles. Maybe an illustration here or there if I get a really good idea or if I'm commissioned.

I want to thank people that followed me for my TF content especially TFA SG in general. It's a niche I was able to fill in but I have other interests + real life to deal with. This year had many changes in my life and more are to come. The AU does come to my mind from time to time, especially after I attended TFCon last week. I appreciate the fandom for being filled with mostly chill people and even ones that support talent in the fandom. I bought my PC in 2021 and got to attend two TFCons thanks to commissions from Transformers fans.

Also an apology for not responding to DMs. Sometimes I forget or just don't have energy to respond as I treat Tumblr as a dumping site for my work. I'm much more active on Twitter but as we know that site has gone down the shitter. I'm not too bummed about that though as I've gone to other alternatives such as Blue Sky. I also post on Newgrounds as that's a site that allows for actual feedback from others. I also just got verified on Vgen too.

Also a huge thanks to those that came for my Transformers art in general but stayed regardless of what I draw. Whether it be because you like my style or we have similar tastes I do appreciate it immensely.

So what if O!Sky was soft?

Ah, the brainrot just won’t go away. I think FNF Soft is wonderful! Mostly because the concept and aesthetic, and Grace! She’s my favorite of the bunch. Oh, I could ramble on and on about her, but we’re focusing on the Skyverse, especially O!Sky! This is my design for her! I tried my best to imitate Alex’s style, I think it’s pretty good. A little wonky on the limbs though.

Madison has a unique sense of fashion, I mean she wants to look stylish so makes sense. She’s a part time hair stylist, but dreams of becoming a fashion designer. She dyed parts of her hair blue because that was her second favorite color. She loves purple the most, and it’s pretty much 99% of her closet. Madison is not too short, only 5”2. But there are many more people taller than her, which is why she wears platform shoes. I was originally going to make her similar to her sister, but I think it’s better not to do that since that wouldn’t make much sense, mostly because of her backstory. The two photos above are two other outfits. Madison’s outfit on her reference sheet is very similar to the second image, only that in the traditional drawing, the skirt is flowing, while in the one above, is a tight skirt, like the one in the third image.

Now let’s get into the backstory…

Madison wasn’t abused in her past like Benjamin was, but instead she heavily bullied someone. Specifically her younger sister. Yes, I do mean the Soft Sky we all know and love.

The Sky Siblings used to live in “The city of Stars” together with their parents. The father worked very busy as a Tailor, so they didn’t suffer too much financially. When they were young, Madison was always the one doing better at… pretty much anything. Sports, art, singing…whatever you name. At least their mom’s eyes. Mom would always give her older daughter attention and neglects her younger daughter. Because of that, Madison liked to treat her sister like crap, always bragging about herself and how she was better while Sky couldn’t “do anything” or was just “stupid and talentless.” She said lots mean things every single time she had a chance to. Their mother always just brushed it off as playful teasing because they were just kids! Kids don’t know morals. Same thing happened with the dad, but unlike mom, he actually started to slowly catch on to Madison’s hateful behavior. He then constantly reminds her to be more nicer to her younger sister, but that didn’t seem to work. He also began noticing that his wife was actually neglecting Sky. Before the siblings started middle school, the parents had a discussion with each other, which then turned into an argument, which lead to them getting a divorce. Sky and their father stayed at home, while Madison and their mother moved to another city. And that’s when Madison slowly starts to realize her behavior that past years. The less she was with her sister, the more days that went on, the more she felt guilty for her past actions. Her superiority complex slowly turned into an inferiority complex.

Nowadays, she’s much more mature, but isn’t very open to others. In other words, she’s very mysterious. She has a nice facade in order to please customers at her job, but in college she’s very avoidant of others. Like I said before, she strives to become a fashion designer, but also mustn’t reveal too much of herself. So yeah the reason Mother Mairest reminds Madison so much of herself is because she acted too much like her younger self. Also she only sees herself in Marilyn and not Frank is because 1) He’s ugly (at least Marilyn has a decent fashion sense) and 2) Madison never physically hurt Sky, at all. Even as a child she would never go far to physical harm. So no, Madison couldnt have caused that to Sky’s left eye.

Unfortunately, Mama Sky is a not a good mom in this AU. Actually, we know absolutely nothing about O!Sky’s mom OG universe, but I’ve always assumed she’s a good mother! But despite this, Madison still maintains a good relationship with mom. I mean, Mama Sky isn’t manipulative or abusive towards her, just was playing the favorite game in the worst way possible. I know many parents play favorites but this mother just takes it too far

“Ok, but what about Benjamin Fairest? What does Madison think of him?” Good question! You see… I actually didn’t think that far. Well, this is literally called the soft AU so the characters should seem less rambunctious and more calm. I guess Madison would just be neutral towards him. Like she wouldn’t care about his existence, she only wants his parents to get a good well deserved punishment. So yeah, he’s just okay in her eyes.

“What about Grace/Pico?” She has no idea who either of them are. Actually she knows the latter, but that’s only because a bunch of people made jokes about him in her high school.

“Wait, Sky Sky Curls?” I headcanon Soft Sky’s real name would be “Libby” but again, it’s only canon in my head, so I tend to stay away from using that.

I went on several different baby name websites for names that meant “heart.” Yes that is a reference to Old O!Sky’s sister being named Hearts. I kinda sorta gave up because I was doing this late at night. I chose Libby, or Libi, because it meant “my heart” or “girl” which isn’t exactly what I wanted, but I guess it was good enough.

Basically Libby was what I personally thought was most fitting for Soft Sky. If you read the small crossed out text, ok then.

Chapter: AXL Development Documents, Axl's MMZ Redesign

Make sure to look at the picture descriptions for each of these! They contain more information about the designs and I put them in like this to make the blog post less bloated than it already is.

Fun fact, I did redesign Axl into a MMZ character one and a half years prior to that "life-changing" Halloween art. I didn't know anything about the series yet aside from some basic concepts and I didn't understand its style much yet, but I still wanted to go an do that.

Well, you can certainly say I tried. His character was also altered, with him becoming a pacifistic hermit that lives with a real dog in a forest (it doesn't make much sense but 14 year-old me thought differently at the time). However, you can probably see some design quirks already that ultimately got used again in his look for Chapter: AXL, a scar over the right eye and shorts with suspenders in particular. There's actually a reason for this choice of clothing though since I did see something like this in his original MMX design, and I thought it could make the design more "fresh" while staying true to what was before (even if it does look a little goofy).

Then, a year and almost a half later, I came up with the idea of making a MMZ Halloween Axl drawing as a follow-up to the MMX Halloween Axl one I did a year prior (I will probably post it on Halloween this year on my random blog). This resulted in me coming up with a redesign for Axl, starting from a clean slate.

Something curious that I've noticed while looking into the design of Zero here was that... his silhouette was mostly the same. Despite the entire body overcoming changes, you could still recognize that it was Zero thanks to the hair and the shape of the helmet, mimicking what came before through the silhouette itself. That also was the design philosophy that Keiji Inafune persued and the only advice he gave to the designing team when they were trying to design Axl for X7, and that's... a really great tip to character design/redesign as a whole.

I was trying to follow the 'memorable silhouette' tip while remaking Axl for MMZ universe, but unfortunately I wasn't able to change his helmet much without losing the silhouette so I left it mostly as-is. Some parts of his armor do look strange (like boots for example) or too similar to what came before (the shoulderpads), the wings pack (or whatever it's called) looks really different and blocky, and the jets on his feet are a bit weird too, but I still think I did a good job reimagining this design, to the point of not changing it much in the next revisions.

I was trying to make Axl look sharper and more mature than before. I gave him a serious look, a few new scars (one on the left cheek as a reference to Grey and another over the right side of the face as a reference to Red), a blind right eye and a jacket with high collar (that doesn't close all the way because of the chest crystal). Shorts on suspenders still remained, though... which still kinda makes sense because he was supposed to still be young here, plus they help greatly with retaining the same "silhouette" as before. In addition, they actually have a functionality - Axl keeps his scythe folded behind the back and suspenders keep them safely in one place.

Oh, and yeah, this time Axl was supposed to become a grim reaper much like Red. I saw this as fitting, like he was following his old friend's footsteps, and eventually I realized it would be a great melee/middle-range weapon for him.

However, once I decided to make a full-blown game concept out of "What if Axl was in MMZ?", I chose to redesign him, to make him more in-line with the official designs (You can judge how close I came to that as I am still not sure if I am good at imitating them).

For the longest time, I thought that I perfected his design, but eventually as I started to fool around with the sprite arting, I realized that it was difficult for me to translate all of his details into a sprite while dealing with color and size limitations (which resulted in me never finishing that sprite too *chuckle*). I ended up going around all of the characters I had and giving them redesigns if needed, removing the unnessesary details (or adding on new stuff for some that needed them to fit in better). Axl was one of them... a-a-a-and I never remade his character art. Fortunately, I still have the promo art I did a few months ago and he had that design here.

And actually, there was one more redesign in July I did for the visual novel adaptation of Chapter: AXL (which I decided to put on hiatus for now because doing all that alone would stagnate the main project badly). It just removed the scar on his left cheek. I just thought that it wasn't necessary for now (maybe he will get it back during the story, who knows).

random thoughts on Monster Hunter Wilds so far

no more scoutflies. PLEASE no more scoutflies. fuck scoutflies.

also no more autotracking. i dont want autotracking but if the choice is between autotracking and scoutflies ill take the autotracking.

INSTEAD what id like to see is a similar "pick up monster tracks and level up your knowledge" that world did but without the scoutflies, instead having your new mount bestie do the tracking without the goddamn obnoxious scoutflies covering the entire screen. just have it sniff out the monster and mark it on your map so it doesn't pull you away from what you're doing.

if we're getting dynamic weather then bring back temperature effects to go along with that. also add weather effects. we kind of already see that with the lightning.

obviously theres not going to be a wirebug and thats fine, as long as we get to keep air dodges ill be happy. i can live without wirefall. i just want to be able to air dodge. i do not want any lost mobility coming off sunbreak to this game. in this same vein i hope there's still wall running and jumps and stuff or even just parkour that's independent of the new mount. we see the new mount do parkour but i want to be able to do stuff like that without needing to use the mount.

i cannot stress enough that i do NOT want this new mount to do everything for me. the hunter should be able to do mostly everything mobility-wise that the mount can do, the mount just does it faster and allows you to sharpen weapon drink potion etc while riding it. i do not want the mount to be centralizing. PLEASE let me not shoot myself in the foot by choosing to work independently from it.

no slinger and NO fucking clutch claw shit. never again. keep that shit 10000 feet away from my monster hunter do NOT bring it back ever.

i really, really do not want this game to feel like world/iceborne. speaking as a series veteran, w/ib are among my least favorite entries in the entire series and their weapon gameplay is boring as hell. PLEASE let the weapons feel more like sunbreak than iceborne. sunbreak is peak monhun gameplay, right next to genu.

with that in mind i want the weapon movesets to keep being customizable. whether thats styles or switch skills or something new, whatever. just keep that trend going. i want arts/silkbinds/special moves to stay but i can live without them. honestly a fair compromise would be more command input type moves. but more customization in the gameplay is always ideal.

obviously layered armor and weapons have to stay. i want more hunter customization too. more hair styles and options and colors galore.

That's all I got for now. I may think of more later. I'm really not sure what kind of new stuff I want to see. I just know what I want them to keep and what I want them to keep out.

Fem Young Severus Snape - Let's discuss

So I'm working on a story on archive of our own where Severus Snape leaves Hogwarts, but it's a fem Snape and it's tagged as Snape/Sirius and James, which I'm still unsure about. I love stories where characters realise their self worth and the toxic people behind and having character growth. Fanfiction or not those stories are the best.

But I'm mostly wondering what people think young female Severus Snape would look and be like, ignoring my fanfic counterpart that I already wrote up. I will be switching between him and her for addressing canon and fanmade Snape.

Now before any Snape supporters or bashers get onto me, I'll just quickly reveal that I haven't read the books and have only watched at least 4 films, but did some research in my mid teens in curiosity. I've always been interested in the characters, their dynamics, and what if scenarios, but never the magic.

There's a lot of fanart where she's given the same hair style as her male counterpart, and honestly I believe her hair would be much longer. Long to the point where it's unusual and makes her look unhinged. Long to the point where it's too easy for someone to pull it. Most of the time using it to cover her face, unsuccessfully hiding herself from the marauders. I can imagine her eyes and face glaring creepily at anyone who disturbs her, with her nose sticking out through it. She would have a really ghostly appearance, and if you count the mudblood incident you would sense the distress, anger and sadness waving off of her. I'm also thinking of this fanart made by @iscawen.

For an obsessive personality I would take inspiration from Palm Siberia. Palm starts off as creepy but goes off to become someone we sympathise with. Not saying that you have to sympathise with Snape, but I think he's someone to pity at a logical standpoint. I'm also speaking as someone who could relate to certain parts of his character.

Her obsession with Lily has more to do with being her first and only true friend. I think Snape wants love, but that love needs to come in different forms other than romance. With the whole unpleasant parents thing, and people staying many feet away from her due to her unruly appearance, it's safe to say that Snape latches onto Lily for a reason. She wants to be appreciated, cared for, recognised for something good rather than the bad omen that the people she's stuck with think she is. And she doesn't want to be punished for being a bad omen. I guess the same could be said for canon young Snape.

I don't ship them together, and I cringe whenever I come across a fanfic that does. Not only is it fun to hate Lily, but the whole marrying your former friend's childhood bully even though he's changed is super suspicious.

With the leaving Hogwarts thing Snape would have to realise that Lily isn't the angel that her mind made her out to be, but I don't know if that's while she's at Hogwarts or after she leaves.

By this time Snape gets a makeover, none of that altering physical features stuff. Just giving her healthier hair and skin, I don't think she needs make up but I think something Goth related would suit her. The story is set in the 70s so it was more of a decade filled with punk fashion (not everywhere of course) which would suit Sirius. (Another note that isn't relevant, when the fandom gives Snape makeover stories they always change his nose to be smaller, you'll be some hating ass people). I bet Snape had a thing for formal attire so I think she'd wear something similar to Wednesday Addams. I can definitely picture her with a black pencil skirt and blouse.

Also the 70s where a different time when it comes to beauty standards compared to the ones of today, I genuinely think a lot of guys would be into her even though a lot of people in the fandom love making Snape out to be some hideous creature. I think she would resemble Shelly Duvall or Angelica Hudson.

Nothing overly specific or notable.

Could also just be referencing the fact that he now lives mostly in the US it appears. Between LA and NYC most likely.

Or when he started working with Jack and showed up in “her backyard”

"I love you, it’s ruining my life" could have also been something Matty said to her, or her to him. Would work either way.

For the music video- just a side by side photo comparing her music video to parts of his "Part of The Band" music video and his tour.

The main notable thing being she was the white queen and he was the black king. She also included a dog like his black dog (who is hilariously named Mayhem)

Also the music video copying her old music video for Style.

Also a possible reference/ play on words to Mattys love of building forts, discussed later.

Pretty clear cut song, but some info.

Matty has mentioned his love of typewriters multiple times.

Matty is known for self-sabotaging and has admitted it multiple times.

Possibly brought up specifically him eating chocolate to relate back to his song chocolate.

“You awaken with dread, pounding nails in your head” Matty suffers from terrible nightmares and migraines, which he has talked about multiple times.

Lucy being Lucy Daccus from “Boy Genius” - who notably told him to F off after he tried to make a tweet about her, after the break-up

Him moving a ring from her middle finger to her ring finger just seems like such a Matty play to me lol. I can’t tell if that is just his MO and something he does or if that was truly sincere. He is too bipolar for me to stand by him on that one hahahah

"You're not Dylan Thomas, I'm not Patti Smith. This ain't the Chelsea Hotel, we're modern idiots". Jack Kerouac commonly stayed at the Chelsea hotel, as did Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen and William Burroughs (who Matty mentions a lot as well). Sex pistols Nancy, from Sid and Nancy died there.

Track 3: My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys

"But you should have seen him when he first got me" All I can think of is Matty at most of the shows from his birthday 2023 till when they went public in Nashville. He was beaming almost every single night on stage and seemed so content at a lot of those shows.

“There was a litany of reasons why, we could have played for keeps this time” relating back to them going back and forth since 2014

“I’ll tell you that he runs because he loves me” him always leaving to “save her”

“Just say when, I’d play again” —— uh oh lol

“My best friend” also maybe throwing back to the best friend line in her song about him, Maroon.

“He took me out of my box” - a reference to the box and also do being a doll he plays with

“Told me i’m better off”- still leaving to save her

"Put me back on the shelf, but first, pull the string and I'll tell you that he runs because he loves me" - Taylor being a doll who keeps giving him the excuse that he leaves to save her.

Overall addition. Her take is that they are insanely similar and they were perfect together, which freaked him out. She felt like they knew each other better than anyone else. They couldn't hide things from each other, because they are essentially playing the same game and doing the same art. They know all each others plays. So, where she really enjoyed that part of it, it was too "real" for him, so he left/ ruined it.

Track 4: Down Bad

"Did you really beam me up. In a cloud of sparkling dust" Just to do experiments on?" I am thinking Matty's lab from his videos. Which she also has in the fortnight MV. Matty during that entire lab coat phase. This was the part of him switching from his childish “Truman Black” personality to his “Matty” lab coat.

"I'll build you a fort on some planet. Where they can all understand it. How dare you think it's romantic, leaving me safe and stranded". Reference to Matty's fort. Taylor saying she could figure out a way where they could have their love and his fort and she could make people understand. Him instead leaving her stranded to "save her".

“All your indecent exposures, how dare you say that it’s…..” OVER. Taylor not even being able to say it. Referring to all of Matty's shit talking, especially on podcasts.....

"Like I lost my twin" returning to the reference that they are essentially very similar people, which from what we know is pretty accurate, especially as artists and performers.

Track 5: So Long, London

Truly a song for London as the main plot. After like 5-6 English boyfriends that never worked, she is done with the city. Matty was the last one......

"I saw in my mind fairy lights threw the mist" Possibly reference to Matty's fairy lights in his fort.

"I didn't opt in to be your odd man out" reference back to Bejeweled and not being in his top 5 (Joe)

"I founded the club she has heard great things about" Taylor saying the girls are only interested in him because of her. She put him on the map/ founded the club.

"I stopped CPR, after all, its no use" A line relating back to her final song to Joe "You're losing me"

"Two Graves, One Gun" I think songs really relates to pieces of both Joe and Matty and the city. Possibly relating to the two gunshots in Smallest Man on ERA's tour.

Track 6: But Daddy I Love Him

A song about the fans that dragged/attacked him and was sending him and his family death threats, trying to put her in a conservatorship etc.

"They slammed the door on my whole world. The one thing I wanted" She was finally happy and she had professed that before playing the secret song Question? while Matty was at the show. She said she was the happiest she had ever been and everything made sense for her. But instead of being happy for her, they slammed the door in her face and ruined it.

"I'm having his baby, No I'm not, but you should see your faces" A very funny line, thats a little unusual for her. Trying to make a funnier album then Mattys album? He prides himself on being funny in his lyrics, but especially for BFIAFL

“Tendrils tucked into a woven braid” - We always felt the braid was there as a call out to Matty, so this is just funny to me. She was always trying to show him she wanted him back, which we delusional guessed but thought we were truly crazy.

"We came back when the heat died down. Went to my parents and they came around". Referring to when they tried to date in 2014/2015/2016 And then coming back around in 2023? Or referencing when we assume they broke up in early July- then the rumors they were still trying to work something out after that.

“Even my daddy just loves him” Matty was seen with her dad at most of the shows, never her mom lol

New theory going around is that the end of this song switches to Travis. If you do that theory:

Travis would start after the line "but fuck 'em its over"

That would make the following lyrics Travis-

"Now I'm dressing in my dress in the sun, and even my daddy just loves him"

and

"Time doesn't it give some perspective? And no, you can't come to the wedding"

Then it just repeats the verse.

My argument would be that the second line about the wedding doesn't really fit to me. Everyone was always fine with her and Travis. And Travis is essentially her just dating the exact person all the people who were mad about Matty, would want her to date.

Track 7: Fresh Out the Slammer

Confirmation that Matty and T were something prior to her and Joe being completely finished.

"Splintered back in winter, silent dinners, bitter". Winter of 2021 or 2022?

"He was with her in dreams" Joe wasn't happy either and was thinking about someone else

"Camera Flashes, Welcome Bashes. Get the matches, toss the ashes off the ledge" - She was ready to go public and knew it would get negative attention. She was fine with burning it all down.

"Starting Line” reference, which is one of Mattys favorite old bands and he sang them during his tour while they were dating.

"As I said in my letters" - possible link back to the letters link between her and Matty?

"At the park where we used to sit on children's swings, wearing imaginary rings" - Back to the wedding/marriage plans

Track 8: Florida

Florida was the first Eras tour she did after her breakup with Joe was announced. Otherwise nothing major here I noticed yet. I am sure we are missing something though. I wonder if this song is something personal to them. Also the song could truly be one of the random songs she just throws on. Overall theme is just how everyone eventually ends up "running away" and moving to Florida.

Song about wanting to be with Matty while still with Joe. How to be as close to him as possible without actually cheating.

Backing track is almost identical to Mattys "About You"

"Downtown Lights” reference, one of Mattys favorites. Sent to her while she was still with Joe and "bored and caged".

"I keep these longings locked, in lowercase, inside a vault" - clue of some sort? referring to imgonnagetyouback ? 1975 songs? fallingforyou, lostmyhead. Reputation vault tracks?

"I'm seeing visions, am I bad? or mad? or wise?" just reminds me of Matty saying you can't be wise and in love in his interview.

"Why does it feel like a vow we will both uphold some how" wedding/ marriage reference again.

"If you wanted me dead, you should have just said" - a reference to smallest man and her asking if he was sent by someone who wanted her dead? Also the press/fans

“The scandal was contained, the bullet had just grazed” Her covering his scandals. The Ice Spice collab for sure. That was a terrible collaboration thrown together last minute to cover for him.

"You don't get to tell me you feel bad" - possibly Matty saying he felt bad for everything that happened or was happening.

“Is it a wonder I broke? Let’s hear one more joke” A reference to Matty always trying to make a joke out of everything or the press/media always making jokes about her misfortunes.

Her chicago secret song ( I don’t want to live forever) and her crying during "did I dodge a bullet or just lose the love of my life” right around when the breakup was announced

"Mr. Steal Your Girl" besides the pop culture reference, Matty's MO lately has been winning over taken women.

“You cinephile in black and white” - A reference to Mattys love of black and white art/ movies

"You shit talked me under the table” - He IS a huge shit talker in general lol

"I wish I could un-recall how we almost had it all" - A reference back to Me and You Together Song and About You

“Oh what a valiant roar, What a bland goodbye. The coward claimed he was a lion. I'm combing through the braids of lies” - He came in hot. Fighting for her. Doing everything to get her and then bailed. Also the braid again.

“I’ll never leave, Never mind" also a reference to his song Change of Heart which he focused on all tour.

"Your arson’s match, your somber eyes” - His self-sabotage again and his sad eyes.

Track 13: I Can Do It With a Broken Heart

I love this goofy little song so much.

Her doing the Chicago shows and beyond after him leaving. Also maybe a slight at the fact he was breaking down on stage off and on his entire tour, but she was trucking along.

“Lights, Camera, Bitch Smile” - is one of my favorite lines on this album in general.

"I'm so depressed, I act like it's my birthday". Another funny line.

“I cry a lot, but I am so productive” She was destroyed, but she was touring and getting this entire album together.

"I keep finding his things in drawers. Crucial evidence, I didn't imagine the whole thing" The Damn Beatles Shirt of his she kept showing up in not long after they broke up.

“All the pieces of me shattered, As the crowd was chanting More!" "as the crowd cheers for an overdose", a Matty lyric from the song Paris. And obviously she has a song Paris too.

Track 14: The Smallest Man

The sigh........ A very similar sigh to how she started "Your losing me" her main song for Joe after their break up.

"They just ghosted you, now you know what it feels like" Oh Matty….. the king of ghosting women. He is a true child….. This is sort of referenced again in Stevie's poem saying that "He didn't say goodbye"

"Were you sent by someone who wanted me dead? Did you sleep with a gun underneath our bed? Were you writing a book? Were you a sleeper cell spy? In fifty years will all this be declassified?" Taylors confusion about if it was real or just a "bit". Reminding me of the Radio 1 performance and Matty mentioning the possibility of “is it a bit, or is it sincere" in his lab coat. Referencing back to her wondering if it was all an experiment. But that is something Matty says and comments on all the time…... About what is real and what is not, so also sort of just a fascination he has had his entire career. Also reference to the fact he says he has been sort of writing a book/ movie/ documentary for ages and its never gotten done.

"You'll slide into inboxes and slip through the bars" Matty's MO of finding random girls to date. Finding them on instagram, following them and then showing up with them a few weeks later.

"You crashed my party and your rental car" Reference to him crashing his rental car in LA after returning from Malaysia. No idea why I find it so funny that she knew about this.

"You said normal girls were boring, but you were gone by morning" Referencing that the “normal” instagram girls like Meredith, Ana and Charlotte were boring. The girls who weren’t really “famous" or artists.

"You kicked out the stage lights, but you're still performing" - reference to the fact that no one can tell when he is performing or when he is being real. He's not on stage, but he's performing.

Overall just a very standard pissed off/ scorned women song. Very overdramatized and a representation of how pissed/hurt she was at the time.

Song about Travis with the quirky goofy football lines.

“These chemicals hit me like white wine” A reference to Travis being white wine after Matty (and his known love of red wine) He switched to Whisky from red wine on the tour after Taylor. He has a line in his song “Give yourself a try” about growing up and how “whisky never starts to taste nice”.

"The hospital was a drag" - The perceived psych hospital she was in after Matty

"I haven't been around in so long, but I am making a comeback to where I below" Referencing dating an American again?

"He said its Heroin, but this time with an "e"” Travis talking about her being his Heroine instead of Matty talking about his struggle with Heroin. A wordplay used in multiple songs by emo/punk bands. ie: Boys Like Girls. Silverstein. Also hilarious because I was at the Boys Like Girls show when they sang Sweet Caroline into Oh Caroline. And she would have just been working with Martin again for 1989 TV……. Also the main reason I can't listen to this song. Such a low blow and so unnecessary. Either she is just story telling, or her and Travis are making fun of Matty's addiction... either way. Not needed. This song and reference bothers me more than any of the shit in smallest man.

A second option:

The Alchemy: If also about Matty

Why this would work:

It would essentially make all of Poets about Matty, except for the random songs that are about Taylor or about a generic concept. Thats pretty standard for her. This would fit the same style album as Lover and how it was for Joe. The anthology album would then be considered separate.

This would also work since she has the Stevie poem at the start, which would link the album clearly to Matty.

For what it's worth when asked his favorite song between The Alchemy and The Man, Travis chose "The Man"

Wine reference

"What if I told you I'm back" - coming back to Matty

"The hospital was a drag" - being with Joe and his depression etc.

"I circled you on a map. I haven't come around in so long" - her having her eye on him from the start and not seeing him in a while.

"Touch down, call the amateurs and cut 'em from the team" - Plane touching down. Joe was a big rugby fan, so maybe added the sports references as a dig at him or possibly since Matty is a soccer fan?

"Ditch the clowns, get the crown, baby I'm the one to beat" - crown reference

'Cause the sign on your heart said its still reserved for me" - didn't fit with Travis, would work for Matty

"Honestly, whoa are we to fight the alchemy?" - who are they to fight fate? love? Chemistry? Alchemy and Matty's lab?

"Hey you, what if I tell you were cool. That child's play back in school is forgiven under my rule" - Saying that she let it go, she doesn't care, they were just kids.

"But I'm making a comeback to where I belong" - going back to him"

"He jokes that it's Heroin but this time with a "e" " Would fit with Matty's jokes and the common emo theme of using similar lyrics.

Then it goes into the strong sports verse, which I can't really decipher the point of... unless it was added later as a red herring?

"Shirts off, and your friends lift you up over their heads. Beer sticking to the floor, cheers chanted 'cause they said There was no chance, tryna be the greatest in the league. Where's the trophy? He just comes running over to me"

"These blokes warm the benches, we been on a winning streak" blokes would be English not American...

"Half moonshine, a full eclipse" Reference back to Question? and "Half moon eyes/ big surprise” being Matty

"Beauty and the Beast” awwwwww lord

"You look like Taylor Swift" "You've got edge she never did. The futures bright. Dazzling" Back to "The old Taylor can't come to the phone right now, because she's dead" and lead into Rep. Reference back to Bejeweled and "The Band". Also possibly a reference to Olivia Rodrigo and the fact she would have more edge than Taylor and was always considered the one coming up after her.

“The futures bright, dazzling” Referring to how Matty was the who made her bejeweled after Joe… now she is “Dazzling” with Travis.

The Black Dog - Bar in London - Or just a name she used to reference and to correlate with Mayhem. Also possibly a bar Joe used to go to a lot, so may have been used to ruin his favorite bar.

"You shared your secrets with and your location" Is anyone else shocked Matty would share his location with his girlfriend? I was shook lol

"When someone plays the Starting Line and you jump up. But she's too young to know this song, that was intertwined in the magic fabric of our dreaming." "Old habits die screaming" Matty returned to dating girls decently younger than him, who wouldn't know his references. Reminded of him mentioning how hard it finds it to relate to Gen Z anymore.

More references to him "acting" in real life.

"Six weeks of breathing clean air, I still miss the smoke" - this was seemingly written around 6 weeks after they broke up based on some photos by Jack.

"And remember, how my rain-soaked body was shaking" Most likely referencing after the Nashville rain show or the Gillette rain show, both were pretty cool temperature wise.

"Were you making fun of me with some esoteric joke?" Back to radio 1 and Matty saying is it real or is it all a bit? Or just him in general always joking about serious things.

"Now I want to sell my house and set fire to all my clothes" Burning down the lover house from tour? New part or Era's tour? New outfits?

I really didn't know where this song was going, but I did see a theory on twitter that it may be about how dating her almost ruined Matty's career and I could totally see that.

"They tried to warn you about me. Cross your thoughtless heart" Him going into their relationship even though he was probably warned it wouldn't go well

"She's the death you chose, you're in terrible danger" see imgonnagetyouback and idea that she is going to kill him either way.

"and when that sky rains fire on you and you're persona non grata, I'll tell you how I've been there too and that none of it matters" Referencing when the hate started piling on, and her saying she can relate because its happened to her too. Also persona non grata possibly relating to him going back to Europe ( even though it was for shows) when the hate was really bad.

"Wise men once read fake news and they believed it." Everyone believing whatever they read about Matty

"You were sleeping soundly when they dragged you from your bed. And I tried to warn you about them" Taylor probably giving him a heads up that them dating wouldn't go well with her fans.

"So I crossed my thoughtless heart, spread my wings like a parachute. I'm the albatross, I swept in at the rescue" Her trying to cover for him (ie the awful and rushed Ice Spice collab) also, depending on how you think this album went she could be referring to putting out this album to clap back at her fans that acted insane before.

She was still giving Matty signs (ie Beatles shirt, Griff song) via posts even after start of Travis, so she was initially still hoping he would stop her.

"I changed into goddesses, villains and fools. Changed plans and lovers and outfits and rules all to outrun my desertion of you. And you just watched it" Taylor re-arranged her life for him. Broke all her own "rules" for him and he let her (all to ghost her in the end)

"If you want to tear my world apart, just say you've always wondered". When Matty and her re-connected he must have said he always wondered what they could be if they tried again (or something along those lines). Then he tore her world apart.

"And if you have some kids with an internet starlet, will that make your memory fade from this scarlet maroon" A throwback to Maroon being about Matty. A song she played over and over as her "secret song" for Era's. She also played Maroon in LA. When Slut! was apparently supposed to have been released.

"cooler in theory, but not if you force it to be" The fact they most romanticized their relationship, but they couldn't force it to work.

"Will I always wonder" Because he ghosted and she never got closure. -----------

Decently Straight Forward. This song was the one that made me cry on first listen.

Throwback to Cardigan and the line "Peter losing Wendy"

"Forgive me Peter, my lost fearless leader" - reference back to him telling her she needed a brave man, "then proceeded to play one"

"Lost to the Lost Boys chapter of your life. Forgive me, Peter, please know that I tried". He never did grow up. She was tired of waiting.

Overall, more references to him making big promises and breaking them.

Most likely Joe? I could argue it either way, but Joe fits a little better.

"He was a hothouse flower to my outdoorsman" He was a total introvert and she is obviously not.

"and so a touch that was my birthright became foreign" a familiar touch that she assumed she would have forever becoming unfamiliar.

"We'll tell no one, except all of our friends" - telling no one that they had broken up, when it initially happened, except for all of their friends.

"We were blind to unforced circumstances" - depression? Covid? Lockdown?

"and fell victim to interlopers glances" - She was obviously interested in at least Matty, she has noted in earlier songs Joe was thinking of other people too

"Didn't you hear they called it all off? One gasp, and then. How did it end?" The shock everyone felt that they had broken up.

Song overall also referring to the fact she feels like she can not get anyone to commit to her, no matter how hard she tries. The fact that she has all the money in the world, but no partner.

"Poison blood from the wound of the pricked hand. Oh, still I dream of him" still wanting Matty.

"No sign of soulmates" "I'm afraid I sealed my fate. No sign of soulmates" I think she truly thought Matty was always her soulmate. No matter who she was with, she kept faith they could always still work out. Now she truly feels she has nothing left to hold onto.

I think she may think she sealed her fate with her fame. She made herself so famous that a relationship with her is intolerable to most people.
