A SUDDEN CHANGE IN REGIME

Note to all the new people I've attracted from the Splatoon community: This post is for the people who've been fans of this blog before this sudden shift in fandoms. This blog is supposed to center around a Henry Stickmin fanstory known as "Altering the Outcome", which involves two OCs, Alter & Violet, two canon characters, Henry & Ellie, and Kyle (yours truly, and these posts usually come from my POV). This is what I normally post, and I'll be honest, I missed doing this.

(The rest of the CSB [ColorStreak Battalion] are currently all glaring daggers into me. I'm sitting in a chair in my room, with the 4 hovering over me with stern looks on their faces.)

Okay, guys. What did I do?

Maybe start with the whole "Splatoon 3" thing? What's going on there?

Yeah. We decide to check out the blog and all of a sudden it's all green.

(sigh) Okay, look guys, I don't think I've told you about this whole thing.

Clearly not. We read your post about this being a thing since somewhere between late Febuary & early March?

And you've been hiding this from us...why?

(I legit have no other choice but to fess up.)

Because I was afraid you guys would laugh at me, alright?! I don't like to admit it, but sometimes I feel like you guys would actually laugh at me for some of the things I do, AND THIS IS ONE OF THOSE THINGS!!!

(All of them suddenly go silent. For the first time ever, I went ballistic on them. I had to. I had to or else the point wouldn't have gone across.)

Wait...THAT'S why? Kyle, buddy...we would never do that. Not to you.

Yeah. We're not just some OCs you made, we're your friends. And as you've seen in battle, we'd gladly take a bullet for you.

Laughing at the enemies? Yeah, we'll do that, and you'll join in. But you're not an enemy, Kyle, you're a friend.

The Colorstreak Battalion, our little 5-person group, wouldn't be the same without you.

(I suddenly begin welling up in tears, outstrectching my arms for a hug.)

(sniff) Get over here, ya big saps!

(The four of them all group hug me while I'm crying tears of absolute joy. I made this story, and by proxy, them. They're characters in a fangame I made. But this isn't something they were programmed to do. They do this out of their own volition. They were always a bit self-aware, but they've already outright embraced it a long time ago. This hug...it's genuine. Not coded, but genuine.)

Thanks, guys. (sniff) It means a lot coming from you.

(Drying off the last of my tears, I'm suddenly taken aback in shock. They actually want to join in on this. This was the exact opposite of what I expected them to do, and I love it.)

Been working on this for a long long time and I finally reached a point that I'm happy with it. I hope Simmers who are also big Nintendo fans like this.

Shout-out to @tomatomagica/@sims4niya for helping me out with making certain goals and just looking over the rules in general. :)

General Rules:

No cheats unless otherwise stated in generation rules, needed to reset a sim, or for decoration/building purposes.

Mods are okay, provided they do not give you an unfair advantage. What constitutes an unfair advantage is up to you.

Complete each generation's Aspiration

Above all, have fun. If that means continuing onto the next generation without finishing all of the previous gen goals, that’s okay.

Generation 1 Animal Crossing:

Traits: Loves Outdoors/Outgoing/Maker

Aspiration: Curator

You have moved into a new town with nothing but the clothes on your back. Well at least Mr. Nook was nice enough to give you a new home even with the work you'll have to do to pay him off. It’ll be tough but you’ve quite the knack for building and your neighbors seem more than happy to cheer you on.

Move into an empty lot and build a small house. (Optional: Make your house a Tiny Home Residential lot and choose what tier to work with from there.)

After one day, move two single townie sims into your neighborhood and become friends with them (If one of them becomes your founder’s spouse, make a new neighbor to move into their old house.)

Neither the founder nor spouse will hold a job, they will make money via at home activities like painting, fishing, etc.

Have a room to display your collections

At the end of every sim week, use cheats or mods to remove half of your household funds (to pay off your debt to Mr. Nook) until both your sim and their spouse reach the adult stage.

Aspiration: Famous Celebrity 

Despite your humble beginnings, you always dreamed big. You were often found drawing outfits from fashion magazines or singing along to your favorite pop idols or doing cool poses for selfies at the pool. Once you became a teen, you started taking little steps to join that glamorous world.

Become a simfluencer as a teen

Move to San Myshuno or Del Sol Valley once you become a Young Adult

Reach the top of the Style Influencer career (Trendsetter branch)

Host a party once every sim week

Either become or marry a merperson. Heir however must be just a sim.

Make a friend as a child or teen, become BFFs with them, and stay that way for as long as either sim lives (friend can be a future spouse) 

As a child or teen become enemies with one sim and stay enemies for as long as either sim lives. Win at least five fights with them. (Optional: Have this sim be an evil sim)

Max out the Archaeology skill and one instrument skill

Complete the Ancient Omiscan Artifacts Collection

For a little over a year now I've been slowly amassing a collection of ninja turtle books and I wanna talk about some of them. Picture books, joke books, novelizations, coloring and activity books... For all different iterations and all different reading levels.

Well ok they are pretty much just kids books let's be real, but some of them are really great and it's nice to see some new adventures. I've loved ninja turtles for as long as I can remember. Watched the '80s cartoon when I was young, read the comics, caught '03 in it's first season and was hooked immediately, and have pretty well kept up with everything since, with the exception of IDW (SOON.) These books have given me a new appreciation to the TMNT.

At first I just wanted to get my hands on some '03 books, but I was at the same time falling back in love with the '87 show, and books related to that series ended up being a lot easier to find. There's new adventures, some adapted episodes of the cartoon, some from Archie comics...

A rap song to fight drugs, and a little book adapting the first live action film with the '87 boys (Raphael defenestration and all, LOOK AT MY BOY THEY KILLED HIM)

I wasn't really planning to get so many, but THESE 4 delightful books really had an effect on me.

I'll probably make another post just about these 4 books sometime because I have so much to say on them! There is such a charm about them and they've changed how I think about the '87 and Archie turtles. They also act as a prequel series to either! Each book focuses on a different turtle. You see them in some of their pre-series naivete, learning and exploring and joking around. It's really no surprise they're so good, given the author, Stephen Murphy, was a primary writer for TMNT Adventures (Archie) and Tales of the TMNT. '03 girlies, he co-authored "Sons of the Silent Age" in Mirage and was a writer for several '03 episodes!

Anyway, after reading these, I really started searching.

It's so interesting to me to read these characters in this form, from different authors with their own ideas about the turtles.

There's several unique stories in the '03 books, with wonderful illustrations. These goofballs just shine even in the silliest of the adventures. Stephen Murphy, again, shows up here as an author of '03 books. I really love how he writes the boys.

'12 tends to just be episode adaptations, although I haven't actually read the novels I have yet. '12 books have been pretty easy to find so they have not been high on my priority list, but I try to grab ones that look like unique tales!

Mikey's Nightwatcher Scrapbook was so adorable, one of my favorites! Newspaper clippings, date and time stamped sightings and attempts at catching/talking to the elusive Nightwatcher... It's very fun and endearing! The Rise novels are just retellings of episodes, but each story is told by a different character! It's not much, but it's a cute detail.

finding coloring books is HARD, and even harder is finding one that's not been used. The joke book is full of the most garbage jokes but I had some fun torturing friends with it. :3

The coloring books in particular I'd like to scan sometime to share. I remember seeing '03 coloring books around all the time while the show was running; now you're liable to find yourself in a bidding war for one! (against me)

These books have become so important to me and I wanna talk about them more so I might just start taking one every now and then and ranting about it in a post. I have about 80 various books now, and a decent list of more I'm on the hunt for.

Eeveelution Legacy Challenge

This legacy challenge is a combination of by my long time love for Pokémon, and my newer love for The Sims 4. Inspired by other challenges like Not So Berry and Magical Bloodline, every generation has color suggestions and specific goals. I also wanted to add more occult gameplay, let me know if you'd like an occult-free version.

As a bonus challenge, the 10th generation is all about creativity with plenty of free reign!

I really loved putting this whole thing together, and hope you enjoy playing it just as much <3

Rules:

-There are optional color suggestions as a starting point for creating your own "Simveelutions™". -Limit cheats/debug for resetting objects, making a starter home, etc., not for collections or occult items like Moonpetal and Mermadic Kelp -Decide how to pick your heir (firstborn, patriarch/matriarch, etc.). If the heir dies, any siblings you moved out must be good friends with the parent before moving back in. -Normal lifespan recommended. -Randomize infant traits. -Child and teen aspirations are optional to finish. -Complete each adult aspiration listed. -Max out career in either branch unless a specific one is listed. -Complete at least 3 collections before the 10th generation dies. -Live in 5+ worlds across all generations. -Feel free to swap out anything for packs you don't have, just pick something similar and make the challenges match.

Being the child of an ex-famous parent, it was difficult to talk to other kids growing up. It didn't help that you inherited their temper. You do your best to channel that frustration into cooking. You want to be present for your family and make friends sharing your culinary talent.

HELLO LOVES!! I'm here to express my deepest love for episode 4. Finally, it has been a long week, and the wait for episode 5 is almost over :)

OFCOURSE I'm gonna begin with

Jikook in the swimming pool, enjoying their time together, getting on with their daily antics was the best thing ever!! The way they played rock, paper scissors under water🥹 CUTIES my goofballs for real!! Also, yes I have the same question as you, why did Kook have to remind minie that the glass was see through?? What kind of mischief was jiminie upto?!!!

Also, umm hello?! My 2015 baby army self would have never survived this. Please I think BT21 took hiatus too seriously. Damn, I used to lose my mind over foreheads...we have come a long way lads.

Also, the ppeuri after the whole ramyeon conversation?! Hello?! Like what was going on?! The way I screamed into my pillow. BYE.

BUBBAS🥹🤍 (the yawning in sync, they are the embodiment of you are me, i am you)...also I felt so bad for tae cause his neck hurt after head banging...I really hope his neck felt so much better when kookie gave him the message🥺

You wanna know the exact moment I said "what in the AO3?"

This right here. I combusted. I smiled, then I teared up and I replayed it 10 times to know if this wasn't a fever dream. It wasn't. It was reality and then I teared up some more. Happy tears I promise🥹🤍

When I first saw this thought the sign was edited🤭 little did I know the universe was trying to give me sign instead.

All the food moments, apart from making me extremely hungry made me realise how much attention kookie pays to minie whilst he is eating. Not only in these episodes but every time kookies ensures jiminie has eaten well🥹 like idk how to explain but it tugs at my heart strings🥹🤍

Also, idk why tae bear didn't join them for snorkelling, but his smile when he looks at kookie and jiminie has my whole heart🥹🤍

I was so happy that my baby caught to fishes!! Look at that adorable boxy smile🥹 my whole heart...oh I miss tae. Okay sorry no more tears.

I usually don't point this out, but omds I could not hold back this time, the SIZE DIFFERENCE!! I know there are so many other moments, but something about kookies hand enveloping jiminie hands and jiminie holding onto kookies thumb....yeah, my heart is doing a triple axle as we speak.

To conclude, I really from the bottom of my heart enjoyed watching this episode. I was struggling health wise last week and this epsiode gave me the energy I needed. I also feel I was more relieved by the fact that Jiminie didn't feel sick anymore and wasn't hurt in any way. I was so happy to see vminkook giggling.🤍 And jikook being so happy in each other's presence. Their moments, the little things they do for each other, I see them🤍 I know there are so many theories and asks about so many moments not only in this episode. I'll reteriate, I am not going to respond to asks that are offensive or not OT7, and I am just trying to enjoy the show, please let me kindly do that🤍

Episode 5 has me already excited. Less than 24 hours!! LESSSGOO!!

✧･ﾟMy Top 5 Reads of 2024 ✧･

I read 105 books in 2024, and these are my top 5 reads (no spoilers).

(1) The Shepard King series by Rachel Gillig—I love everything about this series 💖. Ok, so, there's a magic system with these tarot cards used within an extremely corrupt system. Each main character gets an incredible arc where they figure out how to fight the corruption in their world, and after the first 100 pages of One Dark Window, it's like every page following until the end of Two Twisted Crowns is pay off. I loved the writing style. There's nothing I didn't like about these books. No notes. Perfect. If I had to be extremely picky, I thought maybe they could scrub their faces and have a ghost of a smile a little less.

(2) The Captive Prince series by C.S. Pacat—Damen and Laurent. Fucking incredible. Prince's Gambit is one of the best books I've ever read bc Damen and Laurent are some of the best characters I've ever seen written. The way Pacat took their family history and molded it into this coming of age / taking back their power / love story is chef's kiss 😘. When I think of enemies to lovers, it's Damen and Laurent. Top tier banter. Hands down. I felt like the abuse Laurent suffered could have been explored in a way where it added more to his character's arc, and I thought it was a little bit unplausible Damen couldn't figure that one out. Tho that stems from an overall general feeling where things towards the end felt rushed to me. But such a great series.

(3) The Emily Wilde books by Heather Fawcett—I'm hype for the 3rd book coming out in 2025. I love it. I eat this shit up for breakfast, lunch, and dinner 🍽️. It's a good time. We have Emily Wilde who is an academic who essentially studies the fae and her bat shit charming coworker, Wendell Bambleby, who is an exiled faerie king. It's giving Mary and Dick from 3rd Rock from the Sun, and that's my favorite show. I'm living for it. I love watching these two goofballs fumble their way through their adventures, and I really never want it to end. This is my happy place.

(4) Half a Soul by Olivia Atwater—Elias. He's a grumpy wizard who meets his match in the form of a cursed girl named Dora. Their banter is excellent, and their romance is heartfelt. Elias tries to help lift Dora's curse and, in the process, they end up uncovering a much greater evil in the world that Elias has to come to terms with. There's a lot of heart in this book, great characters, heart wrenching themes, and fun dialogue.

(5) Dark Rise series by C.S. Pacat—Pacat has a way of writing sexual tension into the most ordinary things? Even a scene where Will is tying up a boat sounds sexual. The first couple pages of this book give hot guy about to experience the spiciest bdsm, even tho that's not what's happening. At the heart of it, this is the story of Will and James, and how they are coming to terms with who they are and who they want to be. There's plenty of plots, schemes, magic and interesting characters unraveling around them. I can't recommend it enough! 💖

It was another slumber party at the castle with Dia and Barbatos. You and Lucifer looked like matching dolls with how your movements and eye rolls happened at the antics of the other 6 brothers. Though you didn't like the eldest brother's attitude, 90% of the time, you had to agree his siblings were an unorganized mess. As you made your way to Dia's room, where you always stayed, you noticed paintings had all been moved slightly askew. This was horrible. Knowing it was either a Mammon prank on you or a Satan prank on Lucifer, you sighed and walked into the room to drop off your stuff. You would deal with the pranks later. For now, you just want to see your partner and relax.

It was as if Dia entered the room on cue and came to sit next to you. Gently, he took your hand and caressed it while he listened to you rant about the brothers. From Lucifer's demands to Belphies actions, you had a lot to tell for each brother. You didn't hate them by any means; you loved them like family, but they could push your buttons almost as severely as Dia could. As you sat up hand in hand with Dia, you pouted and began talking about all the paintings in the castle being askew. As you spoke, you noticed a hidden grin slowly morphing on the man's face and a concealed laughter bubble in his chest. He wouldn't, would he? It was a little early for the boys to already be causing trouble.

As soon as it clicked that the culprit was Dia himself, he had already gone out the door. Chasing after him, you ran through corridors, foyers, and other rooms. Eventually, the whole group was in on this massive game of tag. What was once frustrating became laughter and a good time around for everyone. Once you finally caught Dia with Lucifer's help, you'd have to thank him later; you pulled him into a hug. "Caught you! How could you do this to me?" His laugh was radiant as he picked you up and kissed your forehead. "Because, handsome, watching you get like this is a sick pass time of mine." Even as you were smacking his arm for the sultry comment, he was laughing fully, running away soon after restarting the game of chase again.

So I wrote a review on Highway Blossoms a while back, but it was kind of. unfinished. a conversation with a friend of mine inspired me to finish it up, though, so here's the results of that. putting under a readmore for obvious reasons.

Highway Blossoms is a yuri visual novel released by Studio Elan in 2016, with a remaster in 2019, and DLC in 2020. The game follows the story of 2 girls, Amber and Marina, as they go on an adventure across the American Southwest in order to discover a long-lost Miner’s Treasure. While it starts off as a goofy adventure story, it slowly morphs into a poignant story about grief, relationships, and letting go. It’s one of my favorite yuri VNs, and its southwestern setting combined with its realistic characters caused me to heavily connect to its story.

Highway Blossoms starts off simply. Amber, a 19 year old woman on her way to a music festival in Palm Springs, ends up picking up a hitchhiker, Marina, whose car has run out of gas. She drives her to the gas station, where she learns of her goal. To find the Miner’s Treasure, the location of which is detailed in a journal. Amber believes it’s a scam, and plans to drop Marina off at her car after hearing about it. However, Marina’s car has been stolen, with her phone and wallet along with it. Amber offers to drive her back to her home of Carlsbad, New Mexico, but she declines, and asks Amber to instead take her to the first site of the treasure. There, they meet the three supporting characters and rivals, Mariah, Joe, and Tess, who are also searching for the treasure. (and who also were the ones to steal and scrap Marina’s car.) After some arguing, Marina and Amber secure equipment and find the first piece of the treasure, starting off an epic road trip across the Southwestern US.

The characters in Highway Blossoms are what make the game, it being a romance novel. The two leads, Marina and Amber, are wonderfully written, with their personalities being explored across the course of the game’s 4-5 hour runtime. Amber is a blunt, sarcastic skeptic, though she quickly grows a soft side for Marina’s antics, though she still has her own problems with being stuck too far in her own head. Marina is a stifled kid looking for freedom from her large family, though it’s clear she isn’t fully mature yet. Together, they make a wonderful duo, bouncing off of each other beautifully, and their developing romance feels incredibly genuine despite the short timeframe. 

The supporting cast is a bit lacking in the original release, but with the release of the Next Exit DLC in 2020, we got a much more in-depth look into their personalities, motivations, and backstories, which made me really care about the lovable goofballs. Joe is an almost impossibly chill man, able to go with the flow no matter what. He has his own reservations, but typically he’s the logic of the group, and sticks with Mariah and Tess despite Mariah’s personality. Mariah is a control freak, an alcoholic, and a generally unpleasant person. However, despite that, she drags her sister and best friend across the country in search of treasure, stealing, lying, and cheating her way out of most situations. Despite all of that, she’s got a good heart, deep down. (and I mean really deep down. Like down to the ocean floor, and keep digging.) Tess is a small girl with emotional issues, through the DLC heavily implied to have autism or a similar mental condition. Despite her lack of personality, she manages to form a sweet friendship with Marina postgame, which is mostly the focus of the Next Exit DLC.

With the characters out of the way, the story itself is also something to focus on. It can feel very unfocused at times, bouncing between irreverent comedy, serious drama, and cheesy romance, but in a way, the erratic nature of the game reflects the erratic nature of life. What’s important most of all is not Highway Blossoms’ tone itself, but the ability to keep its emotional core intact, which it does beautifully. While more cartoonish than most characters, the cast feel like humans as much as they do characters, contrasting their wacky antics with down to earth moments that make you feel for them. 

Overall, the Studio Elan lineup is generally very strong, but their first game is especially one people should keep their eyes on. A heartfelt tale of love and loss, a goofy comedy adventure, and a beautiful story all around, Highway Blossoms is a visual novel I have not stopped thinking about since i played it for the first time all the way back in 2022, and it is one I will continue to think about for a long time.

The Story of Mini Baldi

After being released from the package Mini Baldi woke up to a new surrounding, a bedroom of some kind. He sat on a shelf where he mainly vibes until he was put into a bag of darkness where he stayed for 4 years, just full of darkness.

One day there was light as he was pulled out of the bag, seeing a new room, he was placed on a night stay where he could see his caretaker do her activities like scrolling on her phone or drawing, as he watched. But there was a change now.

His caretaker has made him a little bed to sleep at, a little place to eat at, and let him rest against her while she draws, she even gave him a dog friend, it’s like she finally realized he was alive and wanted to make it up to him after 4 years of darkness.

And he couldn’t be happier 0U0

Why did I make a backstory for a funny idea? I don't know man 

Mini Baldi is a little goofball we love him very much but he can be an ass sometimes as he will try and steal my quarters from my soda bottle coin bank and will take bits of my food like a little shithead. But if you see Barbi’s Life in the Dream House there’s an episode where they shrink and i believe to hide from the cat they hide in the doll house. That’s basically what the little adventures of Mini Baldi are like just a little guy exploring the world.

"Emails I Can't Send" Sims 4 Legacy Challenge

Did I decide to make a Sims 4 legacy challenge based on Sabrina Carpenter's latest album "Emails I Can't Send"? Yes I did!

The album is very love and break up based in my opinion however I still thought it could be pretty fun to try and turn that into a legacy challenge. I've decided in this to cut a couple songs from the main album to use a couple from the deluxe album "Emails I Can't Send fwd:" since those gave me more ideas.

I have made some general legacy challenge rules however I am not going to dictate your gameplay so if you do something different such as a different career or trait then go for it!

General legacy rules:

1. Regular legacy challenge starts with 1800 simoleons or 0 if you want a bigger challenge. However, you can use money cheats for your first lot/house if you wish.

2. Mods are allowed. Use CC, use cheats, use MC command center, use whatever your heart desires.

3. Follow the rules in each generation. *rules are optional additional rules that are up to you to decide if you wanna complete them.

4. I have a brief storyline/background for each generation but feel free to make up your own or adjust to fit your gameplay.

5. If you want to play as an occult sim for any generation go ahead! I won't be making any of them occult so you have the freedom for that.

6. Keep the same last name throughout all generations.

7. Feel free to move lots for the start of each generation but don't move during a generation. If you do this, roll a number between 1000 and 7000 for the money you can take with you.

Gen 1: Vicious

As a teen you had a relationship and your partner seemed almost perfect, as did the relationship. That was until you found out that they were jumping between you and another. Finally realising this, as a young adult you cut all ties with them and tried to move on with your life, first healing yourself before wanting to help others heal.

This would probably be all OCs if I used them, (and you know Avery would be #1... hehe) so I'll do regular characters only.

1. Data from Star Trek... I love him very much. His fascination with humans and their emotions, his unusual physiology, his interest in the natural world, his desire to belong and integrate, despite being so different... His gentle kindness, and his "fish out of water" demeanor despite being obscenely intelligent and physically strong... Ugh. He's obviously an inspiration for me!

Oh, my god... I think I just realized he's Avery's voice claim, too...

2. Haruhi Fujioka from Host Club. I love her so much, I relate to her so much... the way she interacts with her friends, her dry humor, her mild personality, her obvious compassion and strong interest in her friends... Yeah. I have my qualms with the show itself, but I love her very much. I'd even go as far as saying that she was partially responsible for my beginning awareness of being nonbinary.

3. Sans from Undertale... Just, classic Sans, not any of the variants. Yeah, yeah, I'm basic. I'm just really into that whole "funny goofball who is secretly very powerful, traumatized, and/or both" type beat. INB4 I am also a massive sucker for wordplay, so this shouldn't be a shock.

4. Pazu from Castle in the Sky. This is my favorite movie, and I just love Pazu's gentleness, passion and sense of adventure. Everything about this movie is incredibly close to my heart.

5. House from House MD, aka Dr. Medical Malpractice, lmao. It's exceedingly rare for me to like a villain or an asshole, but he's just so flawed and damaged that his rare moments of gentle kindness and vulnerability hit me like a truck. I love Wilson also, and their interactions with each other. I rewatch this whole show from time to time.

At this point, stabilising my mental health. But also catching up with some family for my mums birthday dinner coming up. & taking my niece to the show/carnival thing that's coming to town next weekend.

6. is it hard for you to get over someone? -

Initially yes, especially without closure and having abandonment issues makes it slightly more complicated. I am getting better at learning to let go of what's not meant for me though.

But in saying this I am a pretty compassionate person so if you had a place in my heart, one way or another, you probably always will but I also know things mostly happen for a reason and obviously some people arent meant to be in your life forever. Some are lessons, which we're supposed to learn from.

I am terrible at this one but ill give it a go. An actual fucking goofball with a heart the size of an ocean 😅 too fucking kind for my own good but the dorkiest sucker, I will make such a fool of myself to see someone smile/laugh. Pretty quiet until you can get me to open up. Creative and spontaneous, I don't always think things through but always try and find the good in things. I don't know, I'm terrible in talking about myself 🤦‍♀️

Jadedave <3 - 6/10

I think its cute! It's not my favorite or go to or anything, but I understand why people like it and I can also enjoy their goofy moments. Childhood friends to dorky lovers. Plus, I sorta dig opposite aspects together. Obviously it won't ALWAYS work, but it can be fun! They bounce off of each other well and always seemed a bit softer with the other.

JakeRoxy <3 - 5/10

Goofy! Something about Jake being able to confide in Roxy more and be himself and Roxy doing the same with this nerd. Or... what I assume it would be! I don't personally ship it, partially because I headcanon Jake as aroace, but I can definitely see where you're coming from! All I can think about is Roxy and Jake's friendship in this humanstuck au us Mods are in where Roxy is the first to know about Jakes bad living situation and goes to help him out.

Junerezi <3< - 8/10

I have ranked these two before but as John, but I LOVE these girlfriends! Terezi licks and is a weirdo with June and I think Terezi is an amplifier to June's weird nerdiness. They get on each other's nerves, but boy can they pull a good prank on you! June has to make sure Terezi doesn't make those pranks TOO crazy. Overall great ship, love these goofballs.

Arajade <3 - 9/10

I actually love this ship!! I prefer it more pitch, but it's still good! Like I said before, I do enjoy a good ol opposite aspects situation. Aradia is pretty adventurous and carefree, and Jade and her would go on adventures together. They are two weird girls in love and I love that for them.

JasproseCalliope <> - 5/10

I wanna call this "Jaspriope" tbh. Anyways, I've never thought of this before! I think it could be kinda goofy. They both have experienced some form of plurality, Jasprose who used to be two people (well cat and person), and Calliope who used to share a body with her brother. I could see how they could click and bounce off of each other!

Dirkjake <> - 3/10

I'll be honest, I don't really enjoy Dirkjake a whole bunch. I think they can be cute and work under some contexts, but it's not my personal favorite. However! I do understand why people like it and I think their care for each other is sweet.

Javepeta <3 - 8/10

I love these two goofballs!! I think they are both super cute together. I enjoy Jadepeta and I also like Jadedavesprite (Jadecrow is the best version of this.) This is one of those ships I have shipped for a while. I can't explain the best *why*, but I do love this one.

Janepeta <> - 5/10

I... don't think I would have ever thought of this one. I think there is something silly about Jane with cat girls that just works. At first I was like "ermm...", but it's warming up to me! I think Jane would find Nepeta endearing. I also think of how Jane knew Fefeta, and theres probably some connection there that isn't clicking exactly in my head right now. Cute though!

15 Question Tag Game | OC Edition

Thanks for the open tag @just-french-me-up to answer these questions about my OC! I love talking about my beloved Carlotta Suero - she features in various Miraculous Ladybug fics, with focus on her in The world is still sleeping, while I keep on dreaming and these are times that can't be weathered (and we have never been back there since then), and it's been too long since I talked about her <333

Rules: answer the questions below as yourself and/or your OC. (I'd also add that you make your own post).

1. Are they named after anyone?

Yes! Her first name is after Carlotta Brown from Enid Blyton's Twins at St Clare's series. Carlotta Brown is, like my Carlotta, Spanish by birth and a bit on the wild side with a desire for adventure and refusal to bow down to a perceived authority determined to make her conform. Very fitting for my girl.

Suero is a Spanish surname that I chose because it was likely my dad's family's surname a few hundred years or so ago. We don't know at what point we left Spain for Ireland, but Suero is a common surname in the area we were most likely from. Lil shoutout <3

Her middle name, Estrella, is slightly after my friend Stella, who is possibly the coolest person I've ever interacted with in my entire life.

2. When was the last time they cried?

these are times that can't be weathered (and we have never been back there since then) actually addresses this! Carlotta made a (implied to be unhealthy) choice at four years old that crying is pointless after witnessing a beached whale die in New Zealand. Her mother, in an attempt to lessen her heartbreak, tells her that "We shouldn't cry at something so beyond our control!" and she internalises it very heavily until her mid/late teens when she discovers the horrific truth about Gabriel Agreste's favourite pastime, and slowly breaks down in tears thinking about how it's going to fucking wreck her friend Adrien (Gabriel's son) when he finds out.

3. Do they have kids?

No, largely because Carlotta has a lot of me in her, and I don't want kids. I also unintentionally designed her superhero alterego as having the colour scheme of the asexual pride flag, so make of that what you will.

4. Do they use sarcasm?

Yes, but mostly with her younger siblings. She tries not to with Adrien because he's (in my canon) autistic and also very sheltered, so he doesn't always get it and she hates being bitchy to him even by accident because it feels like kicking a small animal. She's more a deadpan snarker than anything else, sarcasm-wise. Marinette is very much the same way, so they'll watch bad movies together and snark their way through it as a bonding exercise.

5. What’s the first thing they notice about people

Voice undertones. Carlotta is visually impaired - she has occipital lobe damage from a skateboarding accident at age 13 and has hemianopsia as a result - so sound has become even more important to her than it already was. And it was important to begin with - as a diver, she spends a lot of time underwater, and sound travels faster and further underwater than light does. Since her accident, she's learned how to pick up on tonal significance very very accurately. She can hazard a scarily accurate guess within five minutes as to where someone is from and what they think of the person introducing her to them.

6. What’s their eye colour?

Dark brown with slight violet undertones, turning fully bright violet with her Whale Miraculous transformation.

7. Scary movies or happy endings?

Both, in a way; Carlotta adores high-stakes adventure movies with happy endings. A few jumpscares go down a treat, so long as everyone's found peace by the end.

8. Any special talents?

Besides learned skills (scuba diving, playing violin, skateboarding etc.) Carlotta is weirdly good at convincing people she's way more of a goofball than she actually is. All her childish antics do a good job of concealing how genuinely intelligent and sharp-minded she really is.

9. Where were they born?

Maternity ward in Asturias, Spain, in the Spring of 2000.

10. What are their hobbies?

Scuba diving, playing violin, and skateboarding!

11. Do they have any pets?

Her mother has a service dog, a golden labrador named Honey, after she had a workplace accident that left her with multiple severe burns from the waist down; Carlotta herself doesn't really consider Honey to be *hers* though. She did have a magical underwater encounter with a juvenile sperm whale off the Azores who she named Herman, but Herman is, of course, a wild animal, and more a friend than a pet.

12. What sports do they play/have they played?

Carlotta is very into swimming and diving! She's a very powerful long-distance swimmer, and has competed in diving competitions. She prefers outdoorsey activities to actual sports, though - things like skateboarding and tree-climbing.

13. How tall are they?

Five foot eleven inches (same height as me!). I wanted more tall girl characters, so I made one.

14. Favourite subject in school?

Biology. She wants to be a cetologist, and has thus far managed to find a way to turn the topic of every essay back towards oceanic megafauna.

15. Dream job?

Part time cetologist (she wants to be the first scientist to film the birth of a blue whale) and part time superhero. Maybe both at the same time!

As threatened, I turned Luz into a sim. Specifically, the version of Luz in Thanks to Them, as that was set in the Human Realm. This version was made with no mods or DLC.

Nothing controversial for the gender and sexuality section; I made Luz into a biromantic bisexual ciswoman. Sims are by default pansexuals who are exploring romantically, and so that's what I leave for the people with no canon sexuality, but as Luz is canonically bi, I turned the exploration option off for her.

The traits are the first place where I really struggled against the game's limitations. How can I compress Luz's personality into just two traits? Traits that could have fit include Cheerful, Creative, Goofball, Bookworm, Geek, Ambitious, Childish, Good, and Outgoing. But none of these traits really scream Luz to me. If I were to describe her in two words, I would have said kind and impulsive. In the end, I decided that Luz showed both her caring nature and her depression above all in Thanks to Them, so I picked Good and Gloomy. Tho now that I think about it, Outgoing and Gloomy sounds like a lot of fun.

There's no option to become a witch in the base game, so I gave her her backup aspiration of being a bestselling author. Completing that aspiration gives you the ability to "capture life itself in a book, and wield it to bring back someone they've lost" which sounds like a really fun fanfiction idea.

The hair is the second place where I struggle against the limited selection of the base game. There are not a lot of options for wavy hair that goes down to the neck but doesn't cover the ears. This is basically the best I could come up with.

Converting Luz's simple animated face into the more detailed Sims 4 style was a struggle, I must admit. I'm still not 100% satisfied with it, and I feel like I can spend forever going back and forth on the eye shapes. Or the eye size, the eyebrows, the nose, God, can one even turn her tiny animesque nose into a real one? And now that I think about it, her upper lips should probably be bigger. The base game doesn't even have any facial scars...

This is her everyday outfit. I based it on what she was wearing in the school scenes of Thanks to Them. The key piece of clothing is the varsity jacket which is, while the wrong color for Eda's jacket, still pretty nice. It's also classified as masculine, so a win for gnc Luz.

Her formalwear was of course based on the iconic Grom outfit. No tutus, unfortunately. Also, excuse the different poses. These sims can never stand still.

The athletic wear was based on her Boneburough Brawl design.

Sleepwear was based on her Thanks to Them pajamas.

I don't think Luz has ever worn anything like a party outfit, so this one was inspired by her Azura costume, on the logic that Halloween costume parties are a kind of party. I said "inspired" because I couldn't find any tailcoats, or even any purple and white suit coats. There is also a shockingly limited variety of hats available.

Luz's original design was too iconic to ignore, so I based the hot weather outfit on it. Strangely enough, I couldn't find a two-colored t-shirt. The lack of high-waisted clothing is the biggest sign that the Sims 4 is showing its age.

I wanted the cold-weather outfit to be based on her Adventure in the Elements design, but none of the clothes remotely fit, so I just put the alternative Thanks to Them design instead.

Here are the other people I made. I put far less effort into them than into Luz, so I won't show them in detail. I especially don't like how the boys turned out. I should do another crack on them at some point. I plan to do Eda and King later, just need to think on how to humanify King properly.

Now, I'm not going to pay a single red cent to EA, but if I were, what DLC would I use?

Realms of Magic is of course mandatory so that the witches can be converted into spellcasters (complete with pointy ears!). Cats & Dogs add a world with New England flavor, perfect for Gravesfield, and a vet clinic business for Camila. As these kids are teenagers, might as well add Highschool Years for more of Luz's angst (tho maybe a homeschool mod for the rest of the hexsquad?). Finally, Vee's shapeshifting disguise could be represented with either aliens or mermaids.

Fun fact: Sims can't be both Childish and Evil, thus proving that the Collector will be redeemed.
