"best friend!ace" who would throw you nrc's basketball team banner with no context. he'd just smirk and salute at you before jogging back to the court while you're left to stare at the small banner in question. you'd bring the banner with you before the game starts, placing it around your shoulders (since it's made out of cloth) with the logo displayed across your back and it just unintentionally gives him a boost. you look like you're bragging the team to anyone you walk by and it just feeds his ego.

"best friend!ace" who'd disturb you while you're helping with prop making during class like he'd: (1) randomly play with a ribbon then wrap it around your neck to playfully choke you (he didn't literally choke you), (2) clip random materials to your hair without you knowing until you find out and just know he's the culprit, and (3) talk a lot but not help, he's just sitting there while leaning on his arms until you throw something at him and he just does his part with a small grumble.

"best friend!ace" who's willing to lend you his lab coat after you left yours back at the dorm. sir crewel doesn't let anyone work without a lab coat and since you both have different alchemy schedules, you messaged ace about needing one (you were so worried you'd fail you nearly BEGGED). if he also left his lab coat, he's running back to heartslabyul to get it then he's by your classroom in a few minutes. he'd be playfully asking for a compensation after lending it to you but when he saw you smile – as cliche as it is – he felt like a hero.

"best friend!ace" who'd always message you asking if you already got home after you (impulsively) travelled/commuted on your own. he knows how unfamiliar you are with twisted wonderland's map so, deep down, he's worried. he'd also spam you with "where are you" if you haven't replied for a while or he's forcing you to turn on your location and send it to him.

if you ever did send your location, he'd be looking at it from time to time and if he saw that you're in an unfamiliar area, he's messaging you with "WHAT ARE YOU DOING THERE???" or just straight up spam you with calls. he'd stay in the call until you're at your destination.

"best friend!ace" who'd, similar to previous one, ask if you already ate if you sound stupid while chatting with him. randomly saying "huh?" or something that just doesn't make sense AT ALL then he'd respond with, "have you even ate you sound dumb rn ngl" and when you admit you haven't, he'd use it as a chance to eat with you (your treat lowkey). he'd even say it's to "bring back my original y/n"

"best friend!ace" who'd trash talk you with you around (he has a loud voice let's be fr) to deuce to annoy you knowing very well you'd trash talk him back indirectly while deuce is forced to just nod and facepalm. until it's you two bickering with one another until he just squeezes/pinches your cheek and you're smacking at him endlessly.

"best friend!ace" who could sense if you're not in the mood (even through chat) and ask what's wrong out of nowhere. he'd be willing to listen and – let's be honest, he's good at giving out advice because he doesn't sugarcoat unless he needs to. he'd go straight to the point and make sure you're back to your usual self again. at this point, quality time is his love language and he'd tug you around town to keep your mind off of whatever's bugging you.

"best friend!ace" who has a reputation with you as an 'old married couple' with how much you two bicker back and forth. your friends would be laughing and teasing you both each time you 'argue' and how they'd go "there they go again" or "i just left for a second and you both are fighting again". he enjoys it so much he couldn't last a day without seeing a scowl on your face. when he leaves his group of friends he'd say "i'm off to piss off y/n."

"best friend!ace" who'd really annoy you to the point that, while you're in something like a symposium and you fell asleep, he'd shake you so aggressively with a false panicked voice. of course, you'd wake up so abruptly that you'd get so pissed you start attacking him and he's just laughing. the moment you give him a cold shoulder he's already pouting and saying he's sorry while poking your sides.

"best friend!ace" who'd also grab your shoes out of nowhere or any of your stuff to annoy you as well.

"best friend!ace" who, in the end, is still protective of you when needed. got hit on the head by a basketball by he's team mate? he's calling them out and throwing the ball back at them twice as hard before rubbing your head despite saying you're fine. he'd also glare and call out people who's staring if ever you're wearing shorts or something. he's willing to give his jacket too if you need it.

Ok so, I'm gonna warn you straight out the gate that this whole post is about a/b/o and the omegaverse, so if you don't like that scroll on 👍🏻

But basically I got thinking about how the omegaverse might add a whole new layer to queer identities and then I wrote all this! If you have something you'd like to add or comment on then feel free

So I'm reading an a/b/o fic, as one does, and it got me thinking about how the a/b/o dynamic would affect the real world

So in this fic, basically as soon as the main pairing realized that they were an alpha and an omega, they like immediately start fucking. Like I'm not even joking they barely get into a private room and everything

And I was reading it and asking myself how realistic this would be if the omegaverse actually existed

And like, I know, its absolutely pointless to question the realism of a/b/o, because realism is not why it exists in the slightest, but it got me thinking anyway

So I very quickly came to the conclusion that no, obviously if the omegaverse existed not every single compatible omega and alpha would just immediately fuck eachother, just like how not every single compatible man and woman immediately fuck eachother

And then that got me thinking about how omegaverse sexuality works, just like, in general

Because from what I've seen and personally choose to believe, the omegaverse is kinda just an extra gender binary, right? Like it has a biological component, but also there's a larger social one on top of it. So is the omegaverse basically a new layer in the whole gender/sexuality cake? Are there specific labels for which a/b/o gender you're attracted to or identify as? Or is your secondary gender strictly a biological thing that doesn't branch into gender and sexuality?

What about ace people? How are they affected by it? What happens when a sex repulsed ace omega goes into heat? Does it give them a sex drive, or just make them run a high fever and nothing else? And the same things with ace alphas, do they just get a lot of morning wood and nothing else?

How do aro people navigate all this? Personally I like to think that the mating bites aren't inherently romantic or even sexual (and also don't have to be given during heats or ruts) so I imagine there's quite a lot of platonic bonds between people, like how some real aro people get married without any romantic intentions behind it. I imagine it's hard to navigate the world as an allosexual aro person too, seeing as in most cases, mating bites are seen as like, the ultimate goal when spending your heat or rut with someone, so trying to find safe avenues to actually deal with heats and ruts must be extremely difficult.

Rounding back to the whole labels thing, I'm wondering how specific they'd be, y'know? Like say you're a cis man, and also an omega, and you're only attracted to other omega men, how limiting or feasible is that as a concept? How many other omega men are also attracted to omega men, is it looked down upon? Does it even matter in this specific omegaverse society?

What about gender? Are there people who are say, a cis woman but a trans alpha? What about betas, are they the a/b/o equivalent of a nonbinary person? Personally I like to think of betas as basically the a/b/o intersex label (not an idea originally created by me, I'll say here) where they can show traits from both alphas and omegas in varying levels of intensity (which means that they often falsely present as one or the other, and usually that person doesn't know they're a beta till they get a medical examination or something similar)

But if that is the case and betas are just omegaverse intersex, then can there be trans betas? Obviously in real life, intersex is a medical thing not a gender identity and therefore you can't transition to become intersex, but we're working in the lawless land of omegaverse so who knows what's going on.

I think for my personal omegaverse headcanon, betas are intersex people and you can't transition to be a beta

Circling back again, what about the a/b/o equivalent of non binary and gender queer identities? Are there people who just don't identify or fall into the boxes of 'alpha' and 'omega' as gender identities? What would this be like for them? What would transitioning look like?

And again, this is all said in the assumption that the real life gender binary still exists, so could you be a cis person but be basically omegaverse nonbinary too? What would social transition look like? Because all the social hierarchy I've ever seen for a/b/o is based off of being able to smell someone's scent, right? So would a a/b/o nonbinary persons (I'm gonna start calling them gammas so I don't have to type that all out) goal if they decide to medically transition to be to get their scent as neutral as possible?

Would there be any social transition for a gamma person at all? Beyond how someone might be treated for their secondary gender, there's not a whole lot of so called 'gendered' language when it comes to a/b/o. Someone might refer to you by your secondary gender, but there's no pronouns or gendered names and terms related to it. So would you just be occasionally correcting people when they refer to you as an alpha or omega?

Also, what would just a general transition between one secondary gender to another look like? Like say you're an alpha who experiences gender dysphoria related to your secondary gender strong enough that you decide you want to take medical steps to change it. What would change with just hormones, what would need surgery? I imagine that your scent as well as scent glands would all change with hormones, but what about an alphas knot? Would you stop being able to knot once you started hormones, or not?

This also has the problem of an alphas and omegas general anatomy changing based on their biological sex too. Like, would a cis woman who was born an alpha but then later realized she was actually an omega need surgery to remove any alpha parts? (I still haven't decided what exactly a female alpha would have tbh)

How does all of this change if your just a regular trans person too? What would being a trans man who's also a trans omega look like and be like?

I have a hypermobilty condition, thus, my physical health is very inconsistent. Sometimes I feel fine for weeks, sometimes I can barely move my arms. Luckily, I don’t dislocate easily, I mostly get joint pain, pinched nerves, random bruises and badly healing wounds. Additionally, I seem to have a mild variant of long covid, which is making my lungs weak, so sometimes physical activities winds me badly even though it’s not hard work.

I am autistic and only found out around 2 years ago, thus, school burned me out! I was bullied by my teachers and they ignored all the signs of a struggling student, so I developed bad social anxiety (added by other events with former friends and general genetics probably). I took a year off of art to focus on getting a better mindset, and I guess I’ve been back since this year.

As much as I want to be a spring/summer “I feel alive finally” person…I’m not. Spring is fine but summer is just. Too. Hot. And I want to die the whole time I’m not in an AC building. have an info dump abt Rosabelle’s brother Aven, bc yeah

Aven is Rosabelle’s older brother, he is around 21 years old and they work as a tutor for older children/teenagers, at least at the start of the book. Right now he is an orange mechanimon but that might change as I research more on what traits each color symbolizes, their pronouns are he/they. He has medium-short orange/red hair, slightly tan skin, and brown eyes. They are somewhere around 5 foot 7 and 5 foot 8 and he has horns similar to Rosabelle’s.

They are smart , charming, adventurous, energetic, playful, easygoing, disorganized, stubborn, careless, and impulsive. He likes telling jokes and playing pranks on the people they know. Despite his personality and the way they act around the people he knows, when they meet strangers he usually acts completely different, usually much more calm and collected. They tend to do things without thinking but sometimes manage to avoid consequences if he gets in trouble with someone they don’t really know. Aven doesn’t really care about what happens around him as long as it doesn’t affect them or the people he actually cares about.

They enjoy hanging out with his friends or sister, playing pranks, and designing clothes. Oddly enough, they are quite the fashionista and he loves making clothes for their sister and his friends, even though they don’t quite seem like the type to do so if you don’t know him!

More abt cain and asher under the cut

yeah SO. Despite cain’s best efforts. He still fucks up at times. He becomes more and more unstable, though he still does his job. He comes back injured, due to recklessness borne of his own determination to win and prove himself worthy day after day. Belos encourages this, until he realizes that this may not be a good reputation for his Guard to have. He notices a Scout in Cain’s small squadron who seems to have won him over, despite him being a hardass. The two work together well enough, and remind him just enough of him and Caleb to cloud his judgment. He assigns them as partners.

[this could also be that he sees cain struggling, and goes well. I do have this grim that i thought i might need when the Accident happened. Could pull that one up. Have a replacement ready immediately after cain dies. So he pulls up Asher, and sends him off, with Cain teaching him some things once he’s been trained enough on his own. All this is over the span of years, so asher could totally have been training for a while between the accident and recent time. But oopsies: they become friends.]

In fact, they’ve been tentative friends for a while, Asher less tentative than cain. They’re so gay for each other but neither understand that they’re gay and this isnt totally just hetero friend stuff. They’re a pretty good match, Asher is like his emotional support dog, his partner. They round each other out, in their skills and personalities. Asher is more laid back, usually doing just over the bare minimum. But he does it so well??? He’s like that kid in class who never studies, only hands in important assignments, and aces the class.

He’s fun, charismatic, good at the interpersonal side of things. He’s a shit liar until cain says something, and he’ll take it and run. He helps cain become less uptight and afraid, happier even. Cain is less focused on hiding his blindness, perhaps even wearing a mask that doesn’t hide his eyes anymore, or at least ceasing to hide behind his giant hood. Cain helps Asher learn how to focus his charisma, and to calm the chattering of his brain to listen to *more* than the words people say. Asher becomes a lot better at reading people. They read together, in the sense that asher reads and cain imagines. Its quite nice. One of the only time cain ever really relaxes.

Asher’s style of fighting is more heavy hitter, just. Hit em til they’re done. Become more refined further along in his relationship w/ cain.

They’re both so adorable together, however they become bonded together due to a couple traumatic events, shared fears, a shared excessive loyalty, and misinterpreted love. They are always together, they never leave each others side. They are each other’s sword and shield, their eternal companion and protector. Someone else takes over Cain’s squad. He doesn’t care. He and asher almost isolate themselves. Cain made asher more paranoid, asher made cain learn to care, and he cares so much. They care so much about each other. ANYWAY. The boys!!!

Cain has long dirty blond hair with bangs that go over his eyes (asher likes to brush it hehe). His eyes are a cloudy pink, like they’re overcast. He has a diagonal scar along his face, starting mid right cheek and just going through his left eyes until the edge of his eyebrow. It nicks it a bit, though luckily not damaging it. (What did damage it was most likely a head trauma or a very very bright light). Asher has brown hair that Cain enjoys petting bc fluffy 👍🏻👍🏻. He’s got a tooth missing, he got in a few fights lol. Belos was kinda hands off with those two beyond manipulation n shit. Figured they’d burn themselves out. They did.

OKAU. CAIN (AND ASHER). For asher honestly considering making him not a grimwalker, instead a really brainwashed Scout who was assigned to Cain. But ANYWAY more on that later.

SO: Cain is one of the middle-timeline grims, i dunno when timelines hurt me. He’s got cataracts leading to blindness (though he can see differences in light and has a more enhanced sense of magic and stuff). He had some time before they developed to that point, took a couple years to go blind, so he ended up having a lotta training. Also, one of his teachers (who wasnt *that* shit) was like ‘girl u have vision issues huh’. And cain was like “huh. I guess”.

So yeah the teacher helps him out w/ his extra senses and stuff, preparing him for the future blindness (tho neither know that it will get that bad, just that it may get worse). He’s proud, nearly to the point of arrogance due to being hard working which leads to mastery of many subjects he puts his mind to. However, due to his issues he can’t read very well, and his hand eye coordination suffered slightly. So he uses more AoE, swiping, and large area attacks bc precision is not his strong suit. He’s also not the best at stealth bc he cant see obstacles. He can sneak awesome in like, dark hallways, but in a forest? He’s getting found out. Maybe also eating dirt.

He’s got an odd superiority/inferiority complex due to his blindness. On one hand: he worked harder than everyone else, of course he’s better. Plus, he’s the golden guard, the right hand of the emperor, extension of his will on the isles. But also. He can’t even read. He stumbles even now over cracks in tile, on occasion walking into walls or people or veering too far in the wrong direction. He hates asking for help, and he especially hates losing. Even more so if its because of his blindness. He hates feeling inferior, so he masks it with superiority (and his literal mask, which has no face on it).

This is good for him bc he is SHIT at managing facial expressions. Like. Girl is a great liar til you see his face and he’s got ALL the tells goin. Micro-expressions? No. Macro-expressions. He’s not good at making friends because he forgets to make expression when he’s not lying though… like. When he lies it’s like he’s trying to act, so he deliberately puts on expressions. But when he isn’t, all he does is the bare minimum that comes from instinct. Also he scares people because he kinda stares.

He mostly fights with magic, plant and abomination (bc they extend his sight and are accessible anywhere). Doesn’t wear the heeled boots or the full gloves of the other grims, instead wearing wrist-guards and flat-soled boots. He taps on the metal of his armor at times in enclosed spaces, a nervous tick from when he was just learning to adjust to full blindness (which came on suddenly after an unfortunate accident that took the rest of his vision. Led to an unfortunate overheard conversation between belos and himself on the merits of keeping Cain alive, or not. Cain desperately proves himself.)

Dream could've tried to replicate his first run on the second try but instead tried a different route and it didn't work for him. Ace race getting reset was the fairest decision bc people dcing affected over half the teams. If anyone from yellow got dcd it wouldn't even be a debate rn.

I agree that it was the fairest of the options they had, and in all honesty knowing the scale of what mcc is capable of, this was probably the best decision they could’ve made. what i meant when i said when there were pros and cons to either decision is literally that there were potentially good outcomes and bad outcomes for restarting and keeping the scores. also, glitches have happened to dream and his teams. lag issues, the block glitch thing, the snowball effects that occurred because of it. there is an argument to be had about whether its more unfair to not reset when one team gets screwed by glitches or when almost every team gets screwed by the same glitch. u can argue that one team getting screwed plummets that team down the ranks in a way they can’t recover from, whereas if every team is equally screwed, it doesn’t actually change the rankings much (<- this would be a flawed argument btw but it Is an argument that u could hypothetically make depending on the situation and scoring)

anyway. the rankings changed very drastically from run 1 to run 2. it was the best decision available at the time, but would i call it a decision that was fair to everybody? no. how do u explain antvenom going from 14th to 37th in the second run? did 23 players dc? No lmao there’s multiple factors at play. we can praise noxcrew for how they handled the situation without lying that it didn’t affect the players at all. if yellow were the ONLY team that dc’d people would argue that they should’ve sucked it up and that stats don’t matter. we are all annoying 👍🏻

I feel like either Diasomnia or Ignihyde. On one hand I'm an introverted tech god that panics at the sight of another human being, and hyperfixates on the stuff I work on with a major perfectionism issue.
