sorry i rag on njpw a lot lol - overall i like the show a lot, they have more wrestlers that i like than hate, i prefer their tour concept over weekly tv episodes, i love the backstage commentary, i love their goofiness, their stables, but god it pisses me off that small choices in the booking can make me so upset, it just feels so easy to avoid these dumb decisions

So, here's some thoughts about a fic I willone day write. Many thanks to @starshadeemilyart for helping me with brainstorming a few ideas.

I do not have a title for this yet. I will call it, at the moment, "The Feanorians' adventures in the Shire".

Bullet points seem like a good idea, so I am sticking with that.

Feanor gets kicked out of Mandos, Namo has had enough of this guy moping over the tortures of his sons and adamantl requesting to be sent back to Aman.

As a punishment Namo kicks him out, but sends him in the Shire, together with his sons, Fingolfin, Fingolfin's sons/daughter and Thingol. They are at the Grey Havens and Cirdan is refusing to let them leave ME. Arson/Kinslaying is stopped by the arrival of Gandalf.

Gandalf is tasked with taking care of Feanor & co. Gandalf will be happy about the task until Feanor opens his mouth and it is an insult. Gandalf also opens his mouth and it is another insult.

It's suddenly Gandalf "I preferred white" The Grey vs Curufinwe "Get thee gone from my gates" Feanaro in a battle of who can sass the other out first.

Someone interrupts them, maybe Gwahir has come reminding Gandalf of the task at hand.

Moment of Fingon calling Gwahir "Thorondor" and Gwahir saying "no, that was my great grandpa, I am Gwahir, current king of the Eagles". "Ok. You were not supposed to have such a short life?" "Apparently it's punishment for saving you all." "We are sorry!" "Oh no, we chose this, no probs mate"

Anyway, they are all in the Shire and it's during their travel to Hobbiton that they see what appears to be a bard, all dressed in black, sad and looking like a withered stalk. He is singing the Noldolante and they see it's actually Maglor

Cue family reunion, cue everyone gets filled in on what happened since their death.

Somehow they also start learning Westron bc having Linguistics Georg over there is actually a good thing.

They finally arrive at Hobbiton and Bilbo has come back from the Lonely Mountain and his house is being put on auction and Lobelia Sackville-Baggins has already stolen the infamous silver spoons.

Feanor is reminded of his exile at Formenos and enquires CALMLY.

As in he shouts a loud "WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING HERE WHY ARE YOU DEPRIVING SOMEONE OF THEIR HOUSE?!"

Which also prompted Bilbo shouting as well: "I WAS GONE FOR 5 MINUTES AND NOW MY HOUSE IS ON AUCTION, ALL THESE PEOPLE ARE TAKING POSSESSION OF MY MATHOMS AND MY BELOATHED IN-LAWS HAVE STOLEN MY PRECIOUS SILVER SPOONS"

Cue explanation on what is a Mathom. Feanor, as crown prince and king, takes it well.

"GET AWAY FROM HIS GATES YOU FIENDS! AND YOU! GIVE HIM BACK THE SILVER SPOONS, I WILL FIGHT YOU!"

To which Lobelia replies like the refined lady she is. "WHO THE HELL ARE YOU, I STOLE NOTHING, YOU WILL BE BEATEN BY MY UMBRELLA OF DOOM!"

Fingolfin, Thingol, the SoF, Fingolfin's sons are like trying to not be perceived, but they are being served tea and biscuits to enjoy the fight, bc this is an EventTM in the SHire and evveryone is treating this like a rooster fight.

It's at that point that some of them decide "fuck it, we might as well."

Maglor becomes the announcer, Celegorm is the referee, Curufin is the one building the ring, the Ambarussar act as PRs, Caranthir starts taking bets.

Maedhros is crying sobbing on Fingon's shoulder and saying something like "I want my mum, I probably deserve all of this, but by Eru Allmighty!", Aredhel is now in the Hobbit Ladies Gossip Club, Turgon, Argon and Fingolfin still try not to be perceived.

That until Thingol, out of spite, goes to Caranthir and bets against Feanor.

RIP Thingol, King of Bad Choices.

Gandalf is watching the drama unfold with the same glee he pulled Bilbo together with the Dwarves and doing absolutely nothing.

It's Feanor and a forging hammer against Lobelia and her umbrella.

It's a choir of "fight fight fight!" all the way.

Yes, Maglor is making introductions WWE style.

It still ends in a draw, but Bilbo gets back house and spoons and mathoms, bc the Hobbits as a whole deem him enough trouble if he has not only Dwarves, but also Elves around. Anyway, Mad Baggins now has a bunch of Elves with a lot of pent-up rage and a lot of free time.

DW, they are useful to the entire Hobbiton and they learn the way of the Hobbits. Somehow they start getting along.

Russingon wedding happens in Hobbit fashion, like the two are now clothed not with Elvish robes, but with carefully tailored suits like any gentleHobbit. There is a lot of crying.

CeleDhel wedding happens, but mostly so that if Eol ever gets reembodied he can fuck off immediately. Also, they are good friends and when Maeglin gets reembodied as well he can maybe have a slightly better father figure.

IDK these last two points seem like a natural consequence.

Thingol and the Gaffer become good friends, gardening reminds him of Melian, maybe he's finall making one (1) good decision.

And then they see that Elves are abandoning ME, at this point Gandalf tells them about Sauron, the rings and the whole deal.

"And who made the rings?" "The ones for the Elves was Celebrimbor, the others was Sauron."

Curufin: "And pray tell, WHERE IS MY SON."

Gandalf: decribes Celebrimbor's death as reported in the chronicles

The rest of the family reacts in the same way

In the meantime Bilbo has adopted Frodo and Frodo reminds them of little Tyelpe and they are going to throw hands

Maedhros just says: NO OATHS THIS TIME NO OATHS. OATHS BAD.

And well.

Ideas so far were to have them go to like Dol Guldur and have a fight off with Orcs and Nazguls, I am still undecided whether I want them to know about the One Ring. Oh well.

I'll probabl post something else once I figure out more stuff

A funnyman's recap of Blue Archive

Prologue

It begins with the player character having a weird dream while on the train to Kivotos, which is ominous enough. Sensei awakens and steps off the train to meet with the person in charge

Her name is Rin, and she is a stand-in. The president of the General Student Council - the Big Cheese, basically - has gone missing and named Sensei, i.e. the player, as the person to summon in this case. Sensei is referred to with gender neutral pronouns, so can be either/or/neither, whatever floats your boat.

(Rin not pictured here BC she doesn't really become relevant to the overall story until way later.)

She functions as a proxy for the Prez while they're gone and brief Sensei on what's happening in the city and Great Googly Moogly, it's gone to shit in a heartbeat.

The seven most notorious criminals of the city had just been all apprehended as the Prez disappears so now they take the confusion as the chance to escape.

And one of them wants to fucking bomb the main tower.

She is Kosaka Wakamo, Fox of Calamity (the reference to Tamamo-no-Mae jumps out immediately, no?)

Rin informs Sensei that it's up to them now and with the help of a nice tablet called

Anyway, Rin also introduces four students, representatives of the Three Great Academies, who have come to aid Sensei and the GSC. They are, essentially, the starters.

Before it goes to battle, however, Sensei boots up the tablet using a passcode of ominous origin. It came to them in a dream (?).

And then an AI helper comes out!

Behold Arona! The AI of the tablet and adorable widdle babby who you can actually headpat. But that comes later.

Anywho, Sensei decides to use the tablet to give tactical support to the four girls at the front, who actually succeed in subduing Wakamo...

Except not really, she ran off into the tower to look what she can wreck with bombs.

She sees Sensei.

"Come here often?"

She excuses herself and bolts, which brings up several questions. All of which are answered in the Valentine's event.

And by me here and now: this girl fell in love at first sight and promises to be a good girl for a crumb of affection by the, apparently, only adult in Kivotos!

And that's how Sensei establishes themselves, as well as the club called Schale they helm from then on.

stuff i enjoyed in 2024 wrap up! ok here i go i am gritting my teeth and writing some commentary under the cut:

- i loved loved LOVED pentiment please go play it. preferably after reading name of the rose which is how i did it and it greatly enhanced the experience ngl. there was a very catholic theme to stuff i watched/read/played this year overall and i swear it isn't intentional but it did make me interested in learning more about this time period for sure

- read 26 books total this year, up from 22 last year, 4 of which were nonfiction! my goal was to up the amount of nonfiction i read and i’d like to continue that this year. i also was forced to read a bunch of terrible straight girl romance fantasy books as part of my work book club. not sure how to feel about this except to say sarah j maas if i catch you in these streets we're going to have a problem. also highly recommend the nightrunner series if you're looking for a thoughtfully characterized, interesting fantasy trilogy with a side of gay romance that would've gotten the author lowkey canceled if it were published today imo but i won't elaborate bc #spoilers. only complaint is that the fantasy names in it are so unserious and stupid. i haven't read past the third book but i'm looking forward to it as a summer read this year i think.

ok it's forcing me to use a bullet point now? whatever. i feel like i didn't watch nearly enough new movies (to me or otherwise) in 2024 tbh...i would love to up that number in 2025. highlights of the year were definitely watching lawrence of arabia for the first time, and in terms of new releases challengers, the substance, nosferatu (OMG I FORGOT TO INCLUDE IT IN THESE SCREENSHOTS. FUCK), conclave and dune were all amazing as well. would really love if 2025 had some better horror releases.

tv shows...this is a real tvhead household and we had a good ass year of shows overall imo. highlight of the year was hands down watching breaking bad and better call saul back to back for the first time with (relatively) no spoilers. it was so much fun spotting all the clips from that stupid brba ytp song and well then also it goes without saying that my brain chemistry has been permanently altered by better call saul. but also PLEASE watch wheel of time and hacks and the leftovers. and interview with the vampire was excellent, a great adaptation that enhances the original work.

music...i intentionally tried to listen to a lot of artists i haven't listened to before, both well known and recommended to me by friends and it was fun to explore new genres like metal and jazz. def want to continue enjoying more varied stuff in 2025. also have to mention that los campesinos, one of my favorite bands, released a new album for the first time since 2017! and i got fully thenationalpilled for the last 3 months of the year, way late to the hype as usual. anyways 2025 we are manifesting joanna newsom album #5 OKAY?? OKAY??

On the topic of OFA, I'm kind of upset that we never got any scenes of Izuku experimenting with his quirk to see if there're other ways to fight with it.

For example, there's a character in DBZ called Future Trunks who fights with a sword. He outputs Ki into it to make it into a valuable weapon to fight his enemies with.

We could've gotten a scene of Izuku using OFA to give different weapons more power and decrease the stress on his limbs. We could've gotten scenes of Izuku using a sword, a club, bow and arrows, a fucking gun with taser bullets!

Thinking about this makes me think Hori has a limited imagination.

Hi @theloganator101 I remember the Dragon Ball lore and future Trunks was so cool.

First off, the pacing of mha is abysmall. It has been a year but I feel it is at most a month. A month were everyone dogpille Izu for existing.

Izu analysing quirks is seen a a gag and smth "spooky" Ochako, the worst love interest I ever seen, looks at him as if she fears for her life as Izu is murmoring and analysing quirks in Sports Festival.

(Which btw the name Sports is a lie)

I also think ofa is not powerful at all. Its a rare quirk sure but never had a chance to shine or be a rival to afo. Afo himself admits he never needed the quirk, he wanted his bro back. (MF failed 8 times by following the same plan over and over)

Izu's progress with his quirk is ignored or ridiculed...for no reason.

Bk breathes? Aizawa is moved. Inspired. He truly has a genius.

UA is bk coded.

The staff (with a small exception) is bk coded.

Am is suddenly a baffon who cant do anything for Izu.

Izu is alone...

At the end of the part two you had an author note about how you wanted to write a part set in between the two parts.

To maybe/hopefully inspire you: while reading the first part I already thought about how he would/could free her.

I thought about him officially requesting it to Rhys. Like officially asking him to “help” to free his mate. (You mentioned the autumn duel, I don’t know anymore what exactly it consists of but maybe it also fits? I really don’t know.)

And you could also combine it with seeing her again UTM.

Like Amarantha invited everyone for a ball or something, right?

So maybe there they could feel the others presence and dance together. And maybe Rhys notices about it?

But then they will be separated again due to the curse and all. Maybe you could also add tension between Lucien and Tamlin, because he has constant fear for her? (He could already know about the bond?)

So when they come back UTM he seeks for her again but without drawing much attention on it to keep her safe.

When the curse is broken and all either Lucien immediately seeks for Rhys to make the request or he “waits”. Maybe due to Tampons order. (I really hate this wanker, sorry. 😂) so the reader could get angry at Tamlin again. And it would fit to Luciens submission to Tamlin (I hope Submission is the right translation 😂 anyways, you know what I mean…)

So we have that.

Uiii I got another idea.

Maybe Rhys is looking for her/seeking her, to have another trump card against the spring court and especially Lucien?

But I don’t know about the ending so far…

I am such an indecisive person, which is why I can’t get it together for this fic. I wanted Lucien to find a loophole in reader’s bargain with that evil club owner. Like maybe something as long as he’s alive, he has control over her but Lucien can’t kill him bc this guy is such a big deal/influence in Hewn City

The way I see it is that Lucien really wants to help reader and save her the way he couldn’t save Jessminda 🥹 So I really like the idea of Lucien seeking out help for Rhys and there being tension bc their courts don’t like one another. But then Amarantha pulls her stunt and it complicates everything and reader ends up trapped UTM.

Rhys kinda picks up on something between them, like something “more” and can use it to get a reaction out of Lucien when he does those visits. Maybe even Eris can too and lowkey try to help reader but it only makes lucien worry even more over you bc he doesn’t know Eris means well 🤔

I was debating on when the bond should actually snap and I do like the idea of it snapping for Lucien during UTM. Or right before everyone gets cursed, which would bring on that tension between him and Tamlin. I like the way you think!

I will definitely be adding these ideas to the draft! & hopefully I can do this fic well & write it out. Thank you so much again for helping me with it! This helped ❤️

I missed the first match, which was Yano and Yoh vs Taguchi and Oleg. Yano and Yoh won which like as they should simply for the vibes.

This was where I turned the stream on, Bishamon vs Great-O-Khan and Newman. This was actually such a fun match. I'm a UE girlie, but always rooting for a Bishamon win!

House of Torture vs Despy, Shota, Tiger Mask and Tomoaki, I'll be honest I checked out during this one and rightfully so cause HoT won 🙄

Just 5 guys vs LIJ, all I have to say is that Tsuji makes the vibes so gay and I appreciate it so much. Just 5 guys took the win and the post match was interesting like Tsuji and Yuya were pulling each other's hair.

I cried my way through Okada vs Tanahashi, so I can't really give much thought about any of the match, but Okada won. It was the perfect send off and I'm genuinely so scared to see where he's gonna end up.

ELP and Hikuleo vs Chase and Kenta. S I G H. I don't even know where to begin like I want to maim Gedo for booking ELP and Leo to lose. Chase having gold in the year of my lord 2024 is just sick work and I demand compensation.

I went stupid during ZSJ vs Bry. I think I blacked out at some point and the wires in my brain caught fire when they started looking like they were fucking. Zack finally got his win back and I am now demanding a threeway with ZSJ, Bry, and Nigel!!

United Empire vs Bullet Club, everyone looked stupid fine. Will made me cry in his entrance. This match was pure intensity there were times I genuinely felt sick. Will and Drilla should not be allowed to blade, they gush like faucets. I think everyone was highlighted perfectly in this match. Everyone in UE had their time to shine, but BC were complete beasts in this. It was an EPIC match and one of the best recent cagematches in my opinion. Bullet Club took the win and came out looking exactly how they should now that they are the most dominant faction. Will broke down in his post match and I cried like a baby.
