Basically, TLDR i saw a fake screenshot on TikTok showing Amy in the Knuckles series and it got me thinking about how she... doesn't quite fit in the movieverse yet...

So here is my long rant about why it would be bad for her to join in Movie 3 and she should be saved for a future installment.

to preface: I DO NOT HATE AMY OR HAVE ANYTHING AGAINST HER. I think shes wonderful and shes literally a main character so shes very important obviously.

First, the elephant in the room. Shadow the Hedgehog. One of, if not THE most, complex character in the Sonic franchise, let alone in the main expanded cast. Having to introduce, and illude to, aspects of Shadow’s backstory (his relationship with Maria and Gerald, The ARK, how he was made, and the fallout) and his future (returning with amnesia in his next appearance, potentially introducing the Black Arms and some of the Heroes and Shad05 story beats that are important who he becomes) in about an hour and a half to 2 hours. I just don’t see how it would be a good idea to introduce a core member of Sonic’s friends into the movie series when she could be introduced later so that Shadow has more of a time to shine, and Amy can too later on.

Historically, Amy’s talk to Shadow to remind him of his promise to Maria has been filled in by another character when the plot called for it. In Sonic X, during its own adaptation of SA2, Chris spoke to Shadow to try and help him remember his real purpose and talk sense into him. While it didn't exactly work out, it shows that this role could be interchangable in SEGA’s eyes. I propose a similar story, using Tom’s niece Jojo. Being a character who is around Maria’s age and doesn’t have a complete character behind her as of now, this could be a more meaningful way for Shadow to realise his purpose and remember his promise. Hearing the words from someone who is like Maria (a young girl who cares about Earth) would be more impactful to him. I can see any human character taking up this role though, but Jojo would be the best candidate, due to her simiarities to Maria.

However, while not introducing another new character could be good for not overcrowding the movie with new arcs and introductions involving them, I could see this working for one character; Rouge the Bat. She was introduced along with Shadow in SA2, which is immediately a good sign, as their plots intertwine with each other. They both work with Eggman, until they turn the focus on saving the world. Rouge is one of Shadow’s closest companions going forward, and has her own arc too. She is the one who frees Shadow in Heroes, and rekindles their friendship there.

Rouge also could connect back to the previous movie. Being a jewel thief at heart, she goes after the Master Emerald, but in Movieverse its destroyed and the Chaos Emeralds are retrieved from it. She is established as being the Rival to Knuckles, and this could help him fill a new purpose on Earth (cos lets be honest… he didn’t really do that in his show-) of becoming a protector of the Chaos Emeralds instead or something. The main part of SA2 is about the Chaos Emeralds so this makes sense. Refinding the Emeralds or going to the right spot to use them and such but thats besides the point.

Another huge loss of introducing Amy in Sonic 3 is missing out on how she was introduced in the franchise. In Sonic CD, she was introduced along side another key character in the franchise; Metal Sonic. She saw a blue hero coming to help her, believing it to be Sonic, but turned out to be Metal instead. Having Amy navigate the trio around and give them the lore would make a lot of sense, given the way that others were introduced in the second installment.

Its also appropriate for this introduction too, since Metal Sonic is the perfect equal to Sonic, compared to Shadow's unintentional equal. After Eggman's failure of using Shadow, creating Metal is the next best thing. Whatever the story is with Metal, whether its faithful to Sonic CD or is twisted to fit the Movieverse story.

Now... I think introducing Amy could also mess up a lot of aspects of what the movieverse has set up for the stories of the characters. I 100% know that they will try and pull off a romance for Sonic and Amy, since its one of her main character arcs and for the longest time and its kind of (??) the main romance of the franchise. BUT according to the Sonic Dream Team character profiles, and the ending of Frontiers, she's drifted away from that interest in him... so to go back to that would be a really weird choice. I know its a different universe, but if SEGA is trying to steer away from that, then why would they go back on it?

PLUS I think it would be a huge detriment to both of their characters. Movie Sonic is much different to the Sonic's of the past, as he has all of the charms of Modern Sonic (his quick wit and charming personality) but hes younger and less experienced and jumps head first without thinking because he doesn't know what to actually do. He was thrown into the role of the hero in the first movie because the place he grew up was being threatened and he refused to run away. Amy being introduced as solely 'the love interest' also does a disservice to her character. She's strong willed, and unafraid to stand up to Eggman and any other wrong doer. She's also rather hot headed but still kind and cares for those who matter. (this is also part of a larger discussion i wrote about how in canon Sonic and Amy wouldn't work out because they want different things and are very different people but thats for a different day and/or if anyone is interested). Sonic immediately switching to a head-over-heels guy would be a complete ruin of his character built up, while also immediately destroying Amy's.

Another problem is that there isn't a focus on romance of any kind in the story so far, and introducing it could mess up what they have going. The Movie's are clearly about familial love and growing up and filling the boots of a hero. It is not a story of romance in any way. The first movie was friendship, the second was about family bonds and making new friends, and the third is most likely about trust or learning to trust again (Shadow has to trust Sonic to save the world). It'll also be a huge moment for Sonic's character; Meeting someone who is not just against him and Knuckles and Tails, but against the world itself, someone who is so hellbent on revenge for the one he lost, and how hes going to over come that WHILE meeting his new love interest... is a huuuuge task to pull off and the two stories don't really mix imo. Plus even in SA2 the extent of the romance is just 'Amy mistaking Shadow for Sonic and then she thinks its awkward and gets embarrassed and thats how they meet for the first time'.

So yeah this could be done much better if it's something thats going to happen, and it would be better left for a 4th or separate installment. Having a mini romance arc along with the Metal Sonic stuff works better because the introduction of a potential romance was worked more into Sonic CD than anything.

Im still gonna be pissed off if they do a romance, because Sonic the Hedgehog has never been about romance... but its also a multimillion kids film franchise and its bound to happen, especially when its the main male and main female character. Just know i won't enjoy it lol.

IF they do Amy... I want tarot cards AND the Piko Piko Hammer and if you take either of them away i will be causing problems (on purpose). If you give her the original outfit +11 points and if you make up an outfit whatever as long as it works and its cute (I'm partial to Dungarees myself).

anyway yeah id like to see other opinions on this... maybe some other ways it could work out? or how else she could be introduced? or maybe even of she could be in Sonic 3 but idk what they would do for her to make her not get sidelined or overtake the plot...?

i spend my day sitting in bed mostly. on a good day i will be smoking weed the whole time. i listen to a lot of music (i dont think this is new info) and i watch quite a few youtube videos.. i really like longform video essays and stuff like that (although there is an alarming amount of slop masquerading as video essays.. very unfortunate). i spend most of my time on tumblr.. (i find a pattern in my life where i find one online outlet and put all of my thoughts there; basically live there. its been discord in the past but ... well. now its tumblr). i also frequent youtube as i mentioned, toyhouse, lastfm, pinterest, spacehey (sometimes... mostly just to muck around with my profile)... letterboxd.. thats most of them. if i were playing my instruments more like i should i would be on ultimate guitar more. i have 129 DVDs and 198 CDs (including burns in both counts) ^_^! i think my prettiest CD is my world under blood cd. i think my most expensive would be... perhaps my i voted for kodos CD? though a lot of my discogs CDs were extremely expensive because of shipping prices :^(. another favourite of mine is my IDR CD, because it was a norwegian import to wherever it was the person i bought it from, got it from. very cool. ill be for real.. i dont really have friends. sometimes i hang out with a few people i know irl (ezra, skai, sasha sometimes) but i don't really talk to anyone. i also have my lovely mutuals of course. i dont talk to really any of them very much at all outside of our onsite interactions (apart from sid, we talk on discord sometimes ^_^).

SK is the child of a woman named Maria. little is known about her, except that she lives in a pocket dimension with nothing in it but a house, with no one populating it but herself, her daughter, and a beta fish.

maria tends to disappear “for work” for MONTHS at a time, leaving SK completely alone (other than the fish). SK is also not allowed to leave the house. because of this, they are EXTREMELY lonely, and know basically nothing about the real world.

Luckily, SK’s house loves them. It helps them. it gives them what they want. what they wish.They can ask for objects, and it will give it to them. They can ask favors, and it will try its best to grant them.

But SK is very, very lonely.

So the biggest wish sk has is a family, is friends, like the ones they see on TV. like the ones people sing about in their CDs.

The house..cant give them that. but it tries its best.

So SK has the ability to let someone, ANYONE, visit the house for one night only, a desperate attempt at making friends. A childish dream, to make friends, family, in one night. a Sleepover.

SK doesnt understand the real world. all the knowledge of the outside world they have is silly media from the 2000s. Miley Cyrus’s disney era and the spongebob movie can only teach you so much. so when someone “sleeps over”, they just kinda..replicate what they see on tv? makeovers, truth or dare, wacky hijinks, teen magazines, thats all they know.

as for their appearance, they look like that bc thats what they WANT to look like. they imagine themself with cool demon features because they think it looks cool, so thats just..what they look like. their eye is half shut bc they were just born that way! no cool story, no trauma or drama, they were just born w ptosis :]

as for why theyre called SK, and not like. a real actual name, they DO have a name! a normal person name! they just hate it so genuinely much theyd rather be called LITERALLY anything else. SK is what their kind of. offical nickname is, but in canon they will literally go by ANYTHING but their birth name. a normal name that isnt the one they were born with, to like. the name of a type of bread. call them Minecraft Creeper they dont care!! they dont know what a creeper is but theyll still love the nickname :]

They have 2 main storylines, one canon and one not, but thats gonna make this post WAYY too long saur i wont talk abt that unless someone asks !

but yea TLDR: sk is a lonely little weirdgirl whos house is magic and gives them cool stuff which is great bc theyre not allowed to leave . their eye looks like that bc they have ptosis. YIPPEE!! also if sk were real or you existed in their world they would love you right back. YIPPEE!!

An Open Letter To Taylor Swift

I feel silly even writing this. That being said.. what's it going to hurt? I know you have a tendancy to read things and lurking in places nobody would expect.  And personally, I don't think you'll ever actually read this, but I have always wanted to tell you what a fan I am, and I figure after this many years, it may be time.  I talked myself out of writing this, thinking nobody's going to read it, and that may be true, but, one time when i was drunk, I wrote president obama about how unjust the system was and rambled about domestic violence and he wrote me back a very personal letter and if that can happen because of my words, why not try to see if you read this and I can ramble about what an impact you made in my life.  And what a hypocrite i would be if i would sit every day telling people how important their stories are, but think that mine isnt important.  I don't need a response, and don't believe I will ever get one.. But it would mean the world to me if you knew how much you saved me as a kid.  To give you some context, I am a therapist now, but I have been a fan of yours since before your first album ever came out.  And I really believe that your album was a huge reason I got through my shitty childhood to be here today.  I would love to tell you a funny little glimpse of how I'm stumbled upon you.

So i grew up just dirt poor.  And i had a really, really traumatic childhood (and adulthood, but thats a different letter, to, Obama apparently) and i remember so vividly how i became a fan of yours.  So. I was trying to take a bath.  And i loved baths - this was my escape from my awful childhood right?   and i used to play the radio while i did and I'd crank the music.  And we lived in the middle of nowhere with no actual television reception so my parents had to pay for satellite TV.  So i did have that going  for me.   So i turn on the satellite radio on my parents tv all the way up, go draw my bath down the hall, and i get in the tub and get in, and i heard your music for the first time. I wish I could remember the first song, but i dont (I am betting Tim McGraw, but i dont recall precisely). What i do remember is me running down the hall in a towel, basically tripping over myself soaking wet, literally  dripping, yelling " DON'T CHANGE IT I NEED TO FIND OUT WHO IT IS".  And you or maybe the dj? announced your first album coming out, and i instantly knew what i was going to ask for for Christmas.  

I didnt think i was going to get it.  I actually rarely got what i wanted for gifts, They normally shopped at the dollar store. Around Christmas time, i showed them your CD and begged and begged for it. I still didn't think id get it. I have vague memories of showing them the CD of yours in a Kmart and very dramatically saying  " this one! " So They couldn't claim they didn't know which one it was when Christmas time rolled around. 

The suspense is killing you, im sure. So I'll  get to it, but, I did get your cd for Christmas. And then from that point on, every time I got screamed at, every time I was hurt, or I didn't feel heard, i could at least escape. It was a peace offering of sorts in my mind, i think.   My favorite song was probably "Tied Together With A Smile". 

Life got a little hard after that, I'd become a single mom at 19 and my relationships were, well, complicated, and your music just became more and more relatable. And I just was able to pour myself more and more into your music. I've always just been so thankful for your music to be there. I found a partner and I love him, and somehow your music is still relatable.

 I've appreciated that your music  has been there the whole time.  The staying power it had in my life, from teens to 30s, I think is what made it so impactful. Your music was the soundtrack of my life while ive been learning how to reclaim my life as my own - and seemingly watching you do the same. 

I always wished I could have seen you in concert. But money got tight, then stayed tight.  I settled for what i could- scream singing in the car and shower.   

I went to grad school, had some more kids, and I became a therapist and my parents disowned me which was a wild ride.  I tried so hard to get tickets to see you this time, I didn't think I would care that much, I even anticipated it not going in my favor as I was grown now and i can handle not getting to go to a concert if they ran out of tickets.

I will admit, this Ticketmaster fiasco felt so unfair.  I had worked for so long and so hard to get to a place where i could finally see you in person.  I had been a fan since before your first album.  Life had screwed me over so many times in so many ways, but it felt like i made it through it - and now i could support myself and spend my own money and be a part of this eras tour - see all the eras i couldn't see when i was hiding from the abusive relationships or couldn't afford the albums and had to repeat them on YouTube to memorize them.  I was crushed after 8+ hours of waiting to still not get tickets. 

I'm betting not hearing you in person probably hurt more at the time because I found you when I lived with my parents and  since I had been disowned semi recently by my parents and you had been such an integral part in my healing it became this awful metaphor for me not being able to move forward.  "I'm 32, I went to grad school, i still can't buy a house for my family, my car is going to die and I can't replace it (at the time), I'm stuck at a job that doesn't appreciate me, I can't even see the one concert I wanted, where did I fuck up so bad?" and like it was an awful loop of me messing up somewhere along the line.. and I cried probably every day from the day of Ticketmaster failure until the second day of Minneapolis, and even sometimes now even thinking about losing the chance. Ticketmaster had other ideas for me i guess.  And that's not on you, that's just a me thing.  And that's for my new therapist to unpack,  😂

I still try to watch the lives on tiktok so I can try to be a part of What is likely our generations Woodstock. You are doing amazing things, and I hope that you and your family and friends are endlessly proud of you.

Regardless, thank you for being a part of my journey, I'm so glad you were there. And if you ever tour again, which I hope you do, I'll see you there. 

I wrote this whole thing out on 8/1,  I was going to print it out and mail it as I had heard that's  the best avenue..  then I never got around to it as I felt silly. It's now 8/3, the day that more dates were announced (I knew it! I knew Canada would get some dates!)  Unfortunately Minnesota did not get more dates but I'm going to register for Indianapolis  on 11/2- it's worth a shot.  🤞. I slept on it, and said to myself, Let's put it on Tumblr and let the universe decide if you should see it.

thinkin about 'Evil Mode' from 'Among the Others' , my last rom hack

so, after beating sylvie lime yesterday ,it got me thinkin about silly precision platformers and kaizo stuff ... U see , despite me being a Sonic CD-loving freak , i do like to play trial and error crazy platformers , such as N++ and celeste some other games im too lazy to think about right now . i just. like a fun and silly challenge sometimes. However , as i established in me last post , i am a Picky Bitch when it comes to platformers and i tend to prefer the controls and movement of the classic sonic games compared to every other platformer out there . i just Love the unique movement and interactions u have with environment in stuff like Sonic CD ... its something that no other game feels like and is something ive always wanted to see be experimented with in something like a kaizo sort of game .. but it hasnt really been done much before aside from a kaizo sonic rom hack that i thought handled the level design Very Poorly ..

there is also a rom hack named Sonic VR which i Really Really like ... but im probably gonna save that for its own post , teehee !!

Anyways. along with Sonic VR being a Huge Inspiration for me , and also seeing all those crazy kaizo mario hacks over the years , its something i wanted to try making myself for a Long, Long time . and well ... i finally got the chance in 2018, with my rom hack named 'Among the Others'.

so. Among the Others was a rom hack of Sonic 1 that i made. there is a Lot of history behind it that i wont get into for this post , but basically it was supposed to be my final, ambitious rom hack that eventually got cancelled and then i put a wall of text at the very end complaining about the rom hacking community. i then released it to the sonic hacking contest and then left the community .. but a few months before the contest begun, i still had a bunch of free time and the main game was already complete, so i decided to just add a bunch of random extra stuff just because .. and in the end there ended up being a Lot More content for a game that Was Technically unfinished...

one of the thing i added into the game was the secret 'Evil Mode' , something which not many people have played and is what im gonna get into in this post ... click da Read More thingy if u Dare !!!

So , in the level select (which u can just access by using the normal Sonic 1 level select code) , there are 3 evil mode levels in the game. these are basically extra levels based off the normal levels in the game, except these are completely redesigned to be Very Difficult and Evil. i wanted to make a sort of kaizo like thing ,where u have to get past all sorts of Deranged challenges that take advantage of the unique controls and movement of this game (which, btw, in case u dont know, this game has special abilities unique to it that make the movement Very Crazy , Lol !!).

There Is One Big Problem However... and it has to deal with the limitations of Making A Sonic ROM Hack When You Are Just A Dumb Little Creature Who Does Not Understand Assembly Programming.

You See, designing kaizo levels for a sonic rom hack is way more difficult than you may think. there comes a lot of Limitations to making sonic rom hacks that, combined with my limited skill, made making these levels very Annoying and Difficult to Create.

First Off, the game can only handle so many objects on screen. Which, well, i Suppose is fine. after all, im sure that's the case with mario world rom hacks. But In The Case Of A Sonic ROM Hack ... Well . Not only are you limited by having few sprites on screen, but you Also are limited by how many Types of objects can be in a level. You See.. all of the artwork for the objects are loaded in by 'pattern load cues'. each zone in the game has their own table which lists all the artwork thats loaded in ,including the level art and all the art for all the objects . not only was i limited by how Much art could be loaded in a single zone .. but Also i was limited by My Ability To Program. i could Not understand how the pattern load cues worked At All. getting objects from One Zone to work in Another Zone was Nearly Impossible for me ... idont know how to describe this fully. Basically , Most of the time , i could Not bring over another object from another zone Unless it used the same amount of tiles as an object from the current zone .. if that makes sense. idont know. All I Know Is ... I Was Greatly Limited by What objects i could use , and that's on Top of worrying about having too many objects on screen .

But That's Not The End Of It. you also have to worry about objects just. Disappearing in the game. sometimes , an object will just Not Load In and i have No Idea Why. i dont understand how any of it works .. all i know is that i was Unable to fully rely on building the level out of objects ,as id constantly have to worry if an important object would Unload , making progressing in the levels difficult.

because of all this , i was Severely Limited by how i could design the levels and what hazards i could even make . i couldnt even have too many spikes anywhere like a kaizo mario level ... it was very Limiting . and thats not even getting into the Level Chunks . you see, the levels themselves are also built out of Chunks of 128x128 pixels ,which have all the level art and collision. but i was also limited by How Many Chunks a zone could have , and these zones already were using the chunks from the normal levels which already used most of the chunks .... so i couldnt design much unique areas for these levels ...

despite it all , i tried my best to make levels that would be an interesting challenge ... and u know what. i am Kind Of proud of what i managed to accomplish , especially considering all the limitations i had to deal with. there's Definitely a ton of stuff i wish i couldve done with these levels, and theres stuff i probably couldve done better ,but Damn. playing through these dickish levels is kind of fun sometimes. Lol. i tried my best to make these levels use the physics and unique abilities to their fullest potential ... i just wish i coulda done More with em.

something i am pretty proud of that i think No One has done is playing the evil levels in Encore Mode. you see, in the game there is a secret encore mode that can be accessed by entering '81, 82, 80, 80' in the sound test ... and aside from letting you play as Pepsiman it also gives every level entirely different object layouts, along with new palettes and music. The Evil Mode levels in particular were fun to make Even More Evil , with The Core Zone specifically being made to be Actually Deranged , with its palette being Pitch Black and the evil mode level being Longer than the original one . and ,while i was also a bit limited with making these encore versions as i could only edit the object layouts , they were still fun to make and i am pretty proud of Encore Mode as a whole .

anyways. if you want something insane to go through, try the Evil Mode in Among the Others if you wish. you can download the game and its source code on github, if you wish.

anywayz thats all. there is so much about Among the Others ive ought to talk about .,,,, so much about this game that people dont even know about . maybe someday i can share more about it with you all ....

anyways i have some countries like. the borders r pretty close to irl countries and i have them in my notes as x country but other ones i split them into like. just smaller subregions of the continent based on irl like. regions. like i split africa into . Madagascar + East Africa + Central Africa + Southern Africa + Western Africa + Northern Africa and its referenced off of maps where those r like. the recognized regions (well. madagascar is usually just counted as either east or southern africa but yk). but idk... im worried its a shitty thing 2 do i just dont know what else 2 do with it. maybe i should just use an actual world map instead since im going more realistic with like. the time periods and stuff. IDK i just rly wanna avoid the shit the sims does so much where it lumps a bunch of cultures together like. the chinese world in ts3 world adventures having a torii gate for the icon. -_- yk. the map was kinda superfluous anyway and more judt a way to visualize where the worlds we have were distributed + also was mostly influenced by that one ts4 mod which takes that more simplistic approach but maybe i can just step away from that and just go more realism based Its just hard bc i dont wanna like. lose the more like. silly isnt quite the word (itis kind of but not fully) ig i mean i dont wanna lose the abstraction kind of thing the sims has. but like. I am auite literally making a spreadsheet to get rid of some of the abstraction the sims has so what am i on about. IDK i just have been thinking abt it a lot basically... like sims im already making shit up and locking the sims to like real world history stuff it only makes sense to like. do the same thing with The world and not have it be abstracted. so yes that was a lot of words to say i think im just gonna move to thinking of the sims as living on Basically earth. In my personal the sims palace that ive made up. this is not to say i personally think of the sims as tkaing place on earth or anything ive just decided to do like. my #1 recs for sonic will always be the games - for the majority of the series, sonic isnt really the type of thing where you absolutely Have to start from the beginning to understand its stories so u can just start anywhere! my personal favorites are both of the adventure games (especially 2), frontiers, generations and unleashed. the adventure series were the first 3d sonic games and where story started being more upfront. frontiers is the most recent and its story actually builds up on the chaos emerald lore in a way they hadnt done in decades. (this one has 2 prologues! the knuckles animation, divergence, and the comic tie-in, convergence.) generations is the one getting a remaster + new story content with shadow this october BUT the original game's story is very light and it's basically just a real nice glorified collection of levels from past games. i havent actually played unleashed since i was a kid (i might again soon) but this is the one with werehog sonic. its story is one of my favorites :)

im not much of a classic/2d player but i had fun with mania! origins is a collection of the classics that i havent played but ive heard it's pretty good and has a mechanic that makes losing lives less punishing than the originals. sonic 1, 2 and cd also have free mobile ports. the murder of sonic the hedgehog is also free on steam, it's a cute and casual little murder mystery visual novel and a real nice introduction to the cast of secondary characters!

(honorary mention goes to fangame dr. robotnik's ring racers, it's a pretty hard kart racer with a bunch of mechanics to memorize but is real fun once you get the hang of it and the tutorial has real cute interactions between eggman and tails. modding characters into this game is pretty easy and ive been working on putting in an oc of mine lol. this game is a sequel to sonic robo blast 2 kart, which is a mod for 1998(!) fangame sonic robo blast 2. another one i like is sonic and the fallen star, a 2d/classic style fangame with a cute artstyle and i know it has a sequel in the works!)

outside of games theres the idw comics! these take place after forces (the game before frontiers) but i think they establish an understanding of prior events pretty well that, again, u wouldn't Need to know everything before reading them. the archie comics are a beast i havent personally touched much of, they ran from 1993-2017 so theres a lot to them LOL

out of all the sonic shows and movies, sonic boom, the sonic ova (also known as the OG sonic movie) and sonic x are my favorites. all of these have super different takes on the world sonic lives in - boom is a silly little sitcom series w really funny meta humor, the ova is a 1996 pilot for an anime series that never happened, and sonic x is an anime series that DID happen where sonic is actually from a different world and gets isekaied to earth. (i recommend jp with subs for this one)

I THINK THATS IT...... i could keep going and be here all day but i will leave it here. theres way more stuff u naturally find getting into the series! the thing i like most about sonic is that i personally think theres something in the franchise for everyone. i hope all this info isnt too intimidating cause truly u can take this series at ur own pace. i hope u have fun anon ^__^

hello! i dont know how to ask other people i have basically no idea how tumblr works besides from posting haha but heres my list :)

-my dog and my family. my dog is the greatest being i have ever met and my family is very nice and i love them all. sometimes i HATE going on walks with my dog but this is how i get my time alone to think so i actually do like it!!

-my friends! i dont have many but the ones i have i love too. they make school survivable 4 me, but especially my best friend. whenever i wish the world were ending i can call her up and well do the dumbest shit (well literally climb trees or lie around doing nothing. i mean really dumb shit. yesterday we set styrofoam on fire) and i feel like a human being again

-music. whatever i do normally theres music playing in the background. well not now since im writing something i need to think about so not always. most of the time i listen to shit alt rock but i also have a couple cds and cassettes which are.. also shit alt rock *shhshs radiohead, csh, and weezer*. i have a björk cassette from the 90s DUHHHH

-drinking tea or coffee and reading, i love tea. i have a couple of nice cups too but my favourite has to be my dads southpark cup. i usually read books that my friends recommend to me or that i find online or at the book store and think "hm this book looks cool ill buy it" (currently "the secret history" its great). theres this book shop that has a cafe in it kinda near where i live, i like going there. usually by bike but when its cold i go by tram because i love being on the tram. its like a little treat i give myself when i find am unused tram ticket on the ground or just buy one but let me tell you thats pain in the ass since theyre so fucking expensive it hurts my brain

-making/seeing art. i like drawing, painting, making collages, writing, taking photos, making music, putting makeup on my face, making cool outfits. all sorts of art. it doesnt have to be good, i just have to like it. my writing in english is kinda meh but in german its fun to write since my writing is actually good and i can put lots of weird words in it that i dont know in english and the grammar just feels so much more natural. it soothes my brain to have written something i like. going to museums is aaah too. especially the modern art ones, historical ones are just boring tbh.

-i know it said 5 things but im extra so hihi. being outside!!! when im inside for too long i just feel like im a rotting piece of meat. which is gross because i dont like meat. and milk. and eggs. AND TOMATOES THEYRE SO GROSS. did i ever say im vegeterian? like almost vegan even. anyways, i love being outside just watching the clouds or listening to the silence. i love quiet but i also love noise.

also sorry if youve answered this already but. how did hades and talas meet, if thats not too spoilers? second: hades is 6'3. i do not know many people who are 6'3. i would assume challenger deep's world has a similar average height, but i wouldn't know. proposal from this information: was talas the first person hades met who was a full head taller than him

I haven't answered it!! Talas and Hades meet because during an especially bad deep dive, Talas' equipment (including his lance) breaks, and he needs a replacement. He gets redirected to Hades, but Hades doesnt work for anyone, and Talas ends up having to prove himself by doing Hades a favor or two (basically getting him extremely hard to acquire materials)

Yeah, in CD average heights are more or less the same. It literally is a coincidence that the three tallest freaks in the region decided to be friends with each other

Yeah, like its sad that 80% of what we got in anime is the "I miss Rin" and "I'm soon gonna be missing Rin" times, I feel like most of 3 seasons we basically were like living from depression to depression. it's like I remember when we finished watching free! with my fam and I brought all the cds with me and other stuff to the next gathering and we were in the middle of binging all of that and I think we on the moment when Haru asked Rin to make him a rainbow in a pool and that's when my mom went "I can't anymore, bc I wasn't expecting that he's so.. he's so.." I was like "yup, thats what I was telling you guys". And he does it either so simple and sweet that Rin melts or teasingly clearly trying to get Rin worked up, but nevertheless I love how he doesn't care about people, whats appropriate or not or if he's obvious or not in those moments. It's a bit sad tho when you think that he really probably tries not to lose his precious time in 90% of those.

He isn’t abba fan. He only knows their most popular songs and thats it. One day, Nina played this song on her radio and he liked the melody and the lyrics. He of course would never ask Nina what song is it so he “accidently” took Nina’s cd and saw the song. He put it in his private playlist. Nina once saw his search history and asked him about the song. Of course Kaz said that Jesper searched for that.

Inej- Tiger, Disillusion

Inej is okay with abba. Not their fan but listens to their songs. Everytime she listens to Tiger she feels powerful and badass. I can imagine her listening to it before fights and missions. It gives her some motivation. I feel like, besides that type of songs, Inej likes ballads. She likes Disillusion because she kinda relates to the lyrics.

Matthias- Dancing Queen

I know, basic. But it has a reason. He didn’t know about abba before so when he met Nina, she talked to him about it. She showed him Dancing Queen and invited him to the dance. They were on cold Fjerda mountains. The sky was clear and the moon was full. The stars were shining around them. And to forget about the cold, they danced to famous Dancing Queen. Ever since then, Dancing Queen became his favourite song and everytime he listens to it he can’t help but think of Nina.

Nina- Voulez-Vous and Money Money Money

Nina loves those two songs because of Frida. Yes, she is Frida simp. Same. She says that Frida is so hot in those music videos and her voice is attractive. I can imagine the crows hanging out together and just at once Nina starts to simp for Frida. “Do you guys REALISE how HOT she is?!” “But look Matthias, look at her! How can I NOT simp for her?” “No because I would actually let her kill me.” And I can imagine everyone just sighing and being dissapointed in her. I didn’t base this on me.

Jesper- Mamma Mia

Jesper loves Mamma Mia movies. He is rewatching them every weekend with Wylan and sometimes Nina. I can imagine the crows having an important meeting and Jesper being late. Now everyone is worried where is he? Few moments later Jesper bangs through the door blasting Mamma Mia and dressing like he is in the movie. Kaz and Inej are just dissapointed. Matthias is just looking at him like he has serious problems. Nina starting to vibe with him and Wylan just admiring his boyfriend.

Wylan- Our Last Summer

Wylan would listen to this song for 2 hours straight. When he is listening to it he is always imagining himself and Jesper on a date. When Jesper first showed him Mamma Mia and when Wylan first heard this song he knew this song would be his favourite. The melody, lyrics, voice... everything is perfect to him. I can imagine him listening to this when he has bad days and imagining him and Jesper on the beach, walking and holding hands. Jesper overheards him and day after they go to the beach and doing everything Wylan imagined. Now Wylan is the happiest person in the world.

context: im in a d/s dynamic and me and my dom are both very busy people. im in college and work retail (as well as i am disabled+have adhd/anxiety). he is in the army and also college. we are long distance as well (he visits every few months)

question: i struggle a lot with falling out of the dynamic. when im stressed/overwhelmed following rules is really hard for me to do and every time we try to enforce them back i end up panicking and we stop again. they're basic rules too, self care related org*sm control/ask permission to play (nsfw) etc. I take out dynamic seriously like i know my place and i love his place in relation to me bur im struggling with this. its almost like theres a wall between me and submitting that i dont know how to get over, that wall being stress/life issues in general. im sorry this is so rambly, any advice would be greatly appreciated <3

I haven't been in your shoes, and CD and I have very little experience with being physically separated. So definitely take this with a grain of salt but...

It sounds like you're having days where you're too overwhelmed to follow your rules so then you guys are stopping everything. Is that the case? If so, I wonder if trying to just request leniency from the rules, or perhaps asking to just take a break for that day, vs feeling like you have to stop for a longer period?

Another thing that come to mind would be trying to gain a deeper understanding of what is triggering that anxiety, and seeing if anything can be done to accommodate that. For example, if you were to determine that when you feel overwhelmed by submission, it is often correlated to feeling disconnected from your partner, then maybe finding ways to keep feeling connected would help, or something like that. This is just a random example, but in general I think if you can pinpoint what is triggering you to feel overwhelmed by submission, like what unmet need you have, that may help.

I also just want to say that it's understandable to struggle with D/s when you are stressed or anxious. I think it's common for subs to feel bad when submission is harder (or just plain too hard) but I don't think it's something we should feel bad about. People often talk about how it's best to wait to submit until after you have really 'discovered yourself' as a young adult because you have to understand your power before you can really give it to someone else. And I think somewhat related to that general idea, it's hard for many subs to give up power when we are feeling powerless due to our world being too stressful.

and hmm... im not sure. im actually a little bit against this for a few reasons

1) it discourages people from going out and buying the cd bc theres no need to listen if you have basically the entire script written down ig

2) a lot of sfx dont really... mean anything? in dialovers especially theres a lot of rustling when yui "replies" but thats just a fill in for an answer

3) similarly, the way i interpret an sfx might not be correct? if i transcribe it one way and someone else hears it another, it would just be confusing and throw them off the translation

4) sfx arent in japanese. theyre sounds used all over the world. no one really has trouble understanding what a kiss sound is

5) a lot of the cds i do are r18 and i absolutely never want to describe the sfx in them.

if the demand for sfx is really that large then ill consider it but atm i dont really want to waste the limited time i have writing down things that dont actually need a translation bc theyre obvious from listening.

and i feel less love for my dialover translations especially as it is bc there are clearly larger blogs who people rely on so mine arent actually that important.
