Naruto Characters who should've been girl dads: a short list
Rock Lee
This man has PURE girl dad energy. He should've had a little girl that wants to kick ass just like him and he is in equal parts excited and worried because that's his little princess and he doesn't want her to get hurt, but he would help her train anyways, because he knows she can do it.
2. Sasuke Uchiha
Not a big fan of Sasuke tbh and ik he's canonically a girl dad but NO THE FUCK HE ISN'T this man nutted and dipped and left Sakura to raise Sarada by herself. In my opinion he should've been sentenced to village arrest in konoha and watched a little girl that looks just like him grow up and realize that he actually likes being a dad (because I think that would be hilarious)
3. Shino Aburame
Shino gives me vibes that he would complain to the manager of a restaurant that there are no baby changing stations in the male bathroom, because of course he would take his child everywhere with him. He needs to have a little girl so she can be a lil weird like him and he can validate every single one of her thoughts.
4. Shikamaru Nara
Shikamaru would just be too ironic for it not to happen. The "women are too troublesome" guy getting a baby girl and the moment he holds her she is the only one that makes sense in the room. If you have a problem with her, you have a problem with him first. "Shikamaru your daughter is too troublesome" No she's not. She's perfect. Shut up. 5. Kankuro
Kankuro is literally a girl dad without having a daughter. Makeup? Check. Dolls? Check. The only thing that would make a weird little girl that plays with barbies more powerful is if she could kick your ass while doing it, and he would 100% teach his baby how to do it. 6. Naruto Uzumaki
Tbh I kinda forgot about him because he already is a girl dad but I need to see Naruto, the creator of the sexy no jutsu, having a pretty little girl growing up and getting absolutely LIVID that she's starting to get attention from other boys. What do you mean she's at the age that she's thinking about dating? That's his BABY. 7. Neji Hyuuga
He's in this list literally just because he'd teach his baby girl how to take care of her hair. He WOULD let her practice hairstyling on him. that's it. 8. Juugo
If he had a daughter he would validate every single one of her tantrums. "You want to punch that lightpost? You feel like pulling a guy's heart out? Me too!" He would say. Also he'd carry her around his shoulders forever. Even when she's an adult. Also he's a disney princess x female rage mc lovechild that happened to be a boy so he's perfect

One thing about me is I will always respect a good villain gang when I see one and THIS gang! The gang of Merlin Academy running the shots! No exception. Rent. Was. Due! Disney, from here on out, if your teen villains do not look like these baddies who are serving seductive, poisonous cunt, Respectfully, Ion want it.
So let’s run down the line. Let’s take attendance.
Dara Renee said she looks cute as Ulyana, NOT HOT! OKAY GREEN! Look at her smile! First her daughter, now her sister, Ursula’s family has me in a chokehold and they are never letting me go (and I don’t want them to hehe). This look gives very much Ursula from Once Upon a Time vibes and I love it! So much! I wanna be part of her gang! Like, Ulyana, baby girl, what are you insecure of? I don’t care about Ursula anymore. I got Uma and I got Ulyana, I don’t want Ursula. I’m trying to keep it pg-rated, but…I would let her top me. I want her tentacles all over me, I’m so sorry…I’m not.
Hades has left the Underworld and he is looking sharp! I love leather. I love spikes. I love the whole punk persona! I have a punk persona! So I love the fact that me and Hades, one of my favorite villains…Are the same. Exactly the same. I am going to find a studded leather jacket and choker so we can match. We also got similar taste in music, like Hades, let’s be friends. Let’s start a band. We can call ourselves “Fire!”
Queen Maleficent, Mistress of Darkness may be lurking in the back, but I’m seeing her. Now her horns look a little weird right now but I’m gonna wait for the official posters and pictures with better quality before I start to give my full judgement. But like…y’all, she’s Maleficent, when have we ever had a Maleficent who doesn’t serve with looks, darkness, and attitude? Like, girl, come for Ulyana! Pull Hades! I expect you to use magic! I demand at least ONE Dragon transformation! DEMAND it!
Ulyana is the Captain here, jot that down, but Hook is still serving so let’s have a conversation. Looks are clearly a strength in the Hooks family, so what do the girls look like? The men are handsome, so let’s have the girls do some Justice please. His fit almost exactly replicated the cartoon and I love that. The only problem I have is…where’s the hat? The iconic red hat with the big feather? Disney, he better have that hat. Don’t be playing with me.
Morgie…he’s giving kinda Carlos and Gil vibes. That is indeed a compliment. Now is his outfit as extravagant as the others? No. Is it still good and is he still killing the game? Absolutely. These VKs stay with the drip. Who else is looking good in a scarf? I don’t see anyone else wearing one! Now his mother is said to be the Morgana Le Fay in Sofia the First so…Is our dear Princess in the Descendants Universe lol? Is my girl enrolled in Auradon Prep? Is she with Hugo? I’m sorry, I just find this so funny, where is Enchancia on the Auradon map? Watch Morgie reference this in the movie, I just, I can’t!
One thing about villains is they will always be looking good and I will always be wanting to find a way to thrift their clothing. I can’t wait to see these looks with better qualities

Do you do Disney age regression stories?
My attempt at an Inside Out short story:
The cold weather relaxed Riley as she watched the raindrops slide down her window. She had been skipping school recently, feeling too small and anxious to go.
Her mother didn't mind but wanted to know what was wrong.
The truth is, Riley was terrified of her friends finding out she regresses. The fear of being judged was too strong for her small mindset.
“Riley?I brought breakfast.” Riley’s mother made her way inside, holding a plate filled with yummy food.
She sat next to her regressed daughter and placed her hand on her shoulder.
“Sweetheart I know something is wrong, you know you can be honest with me right?”
“I-I know mom, I just…don't think you'd understand”
“You never know honey, come on, give it a shot” her soothing voice made Riley feel safe, like her worries just melted away.
“Well, you know about the thing I told you about last week?”
“The age regression?”
“Yeah, I just, I'm scared mom, what if my friends find out and they all start hating me?” Riley’s voice shook as she spoke, tears wanting to fall from her eyes.
“Oh my baby” Riley’s mother hugged her causing the now fully regressed girl to cry out.
“I don't want my friends to think I'm weird momma! Maybe I should stop” She hugged her mother close in hopes of hiding herself from the world.
“Your friends would never hate you honey, and you don't have to tell them if you don't want to, but you shouldn't stop if it helps you feel better, Riley” she comforted while petting her head. “I promise I will always love you no matter what”.
“Pwomise?”
“I promise Riley”
The little girl smiled.
“Now how about you eat your breakfast and we watch some cartoons?”
—
“Momma look!”
Riley’s mother stared at the girl sitting on the floor, surrounded by crayons and paper. She was holding up a drawing of her family with a big smile on her face.
Riley’s mom giggled at the sight “It looks amazing honey”
Riley giggled and wiggled her little feet happily.
The sound of Bluey and her mom's comforting words never failed to make Riley feel small and happy.
“Momma? Can I have paci?”
“Of course my dear” she grabbed the clean pacifier from a box and handed it to Riley.
The girl instantly put the paci on her mouth giggling to herself.
“What's all that cute giggling?” Riley’s father stepped out from his bedroom with a smile.
“Papa!” Riley hugged him tight.
“I see my girl is feeling specially small today” he pet her head messing up her hair, but she didn't mind.
“Riley, me and ur dad were actually thinking on something”
“Yes momma?” She mumbled, paci still in her mouth.
“How about, if you start going back to school, today we go to build a bear!”
“Weally?”
“Yup kiddo” her dad smiled.
“O-oki then!” she giggled.
Her parent’s smiled at their lil sunshine.
“Then let’s get you ready kiddo”
-
Riley was dressed in her favorite clothes and had a face mask on to hide her paci.
She was so excited to get a new furry friend and already knew what she was gonna get.
“Can I get a bunny momma?”
“Anything for you honey”
“Papa can you help me pick?”
“Sure sweetie” he smiled and held her hand guiding her to the plushie section.
Riley went with a purple bunny and her parents helped her pick out a princess dress for her new friend.
“What will you call it hunny?” her mother asked.
“Hmm…Berry Bun!”
“That's an adorable name sweetie” she smiled.
“What do you want it to smell like?” her dad asked, looking at the scent options.
“BLUEBERRIES!” she giggled.
“Alright boss,” he laughed.
“Let’s go stuff the plushie first,” The mom reminded.
-
After some minutes of Riley giggling with all the steps, she decided to ask for a favor.
“Momma? Papa?”
“Yes sweetie?”
“Can I has the sound of you two saying we love you?”
They looked at eachother, then at Riley and hugged her tight.
“Of Course baby, we love you so much”
Riley giggled in the embrace of her parents, feeling happy and sure that no matter what, her parents will love her.

Thanks for requesting!♡

Beauty and the Beast NEVER promoted arranged marriages!
There is a meme circulating with an image of Disney's Beauty and The Beast in the iconic ballroom scene and the text reads "The Original Beauty and the Beast Fairy tale was written to make girls more accepting of arranged marriages."
What angers me is how readily people take these sort of memes as fact without question, as if they assume "if there's text on a picture it must be true!"
Here's the real history.
In 1740 Gabrielle-Suzanne de Villeneuve wrote La Belle et la Bête (Beauty and the Beast) as a novel. It was roughly two hundred pages long and is currently available in English on Amazon and several other book selling websites.
The novel had the same basic plot that we're familiar with but there was also political intrigue and the Prince's mother was alive and the general of her army because her husband was dead and couldn't lead them. That's where she was when her son was cursed after his would-be babysitter (a fairy) tried to seduce him and he rebuffed her because… she raised him. It's like "Eww. You're my nanny, you used to change my diapers! No!"
Belle was the daughter of a merchant (as she is in the fairy tale / short story version that I'll talk about in a bit). But she was actually adopted. The merchant's real daughter had died and a fairy had swapped his deceased baby out for Belle without him noticing. Belle was actually a half-faery princess and the fairy that hid her was trying to protect her from political enemies that would want her dead.
After the traditional fairy tale is played out and Belle and the Prince are married, the prince's mother turns up and is very unaccepting of Belle. She wants the marriage annulled. She offers Belle wealth, anything she wants, just "not her son" because she's a "commoner."
The fairy who had hid Belle as a baby tries to persuade the Queen into accepting Belle for her virtues but she keeps refusing because she only wants her son to be a royal.
After several attempts the fairy relents and finally tells the queen Belle's secret and scolds her that she had wanted her to accept Belle for her kindness, for her intelligence, courage, and virtues, and she should not have had to reveal this secret for her to accept her. She all but calls the queen a b-tch and shuts her up.
Much like the version in the Disney film Belle was a book lover.
The 1740 version of Beauty and the Beast was extremely feminist. It was AGAINST arranged marriages. The prince's mother didn't even want him married to Belle at first. Belle was a literate reader who loved books. There was political intrigue, a woman general, commentary about being interracial (Belle was half-faery). There was even accidental incest (Turns out Belle and The Beast were cousins… Whoops. They didn't find out until after they were married.)
It was social commentary. It wasn't just "Girls, accept ugly men your parents set you up with."
Belle had to be willing to go to the castle in her father's place. Her father didn't want to give her to the Beast.
In 1757 Beauty and the Beast was re-adapted from the novel into a twenty page short story by Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont. This is the version most people read as kids if they read Beauty and the Beast. An essay about it and the full version can be found in The Classic Fairy Tales by Iona and Peter Opie. This version was shortened to about twenty pages long. And almost the political and feminist commentary is gone.
But at no point does either version promote arranged marriages.
And contrary to a weird internet rumor, no, it didn't have a sad ending. You're thinking of the mermaid dying at the end of The Little Mermaid by Hans Christian Andersen, but she gains an afterlife as a spirit of air, something denied to most mermaids so it's bitter-sweet.
Every version of Beauty and the Beast has the happily ever after.

some HOT disney princess takes that you'll hate or love but i fully stand by regardless. lets discuss~
singing/having a powerful voice is aurora's thing, not ariel's! ariel misses her concert in the beginning of the film, struggles with using her auditory voice to effectively communicate, and even gives it up to turn human. it means little/nothing to her and i think people just attribute singing to her, the same way sebastian and her father do, because it's a plot point in her movie meanwhile if ariel knew you all irl she would not be doing sing alongs like that. on the contrary, aurora is literally blessed with the SUPERNATURAL gift of song from birth by a magical fairy, uses it to express herself, and famously sings more than she speaks. so much of aurora's identity is tied into her song and i really think, if there was a singer or someone who owns the "voice" among the princesses, it should be aurora- besides, have you literally ever heard of a more divinely ethereal but also epic and powerful voice than mary costa's??? like don't get me wrong, jodi benson ATE but also after jodi, all the princesses more or less have a similar broadway sound but like no one else can do what aurora did
snow white should be the leader of the princesses. i love cinderella, i do, but snow white was literally the first and imo is the most groundbreaking female character, animated or not, of ALL TIME and she deserves her flowers. also, i think people are FINALLY coming around to see cinderella's value after years of "cinderella ate my daughter" weird misogyny masquerading around as feminism criticisms and i think a lot of that is centered around cinderella being an abuse victim and that's what's warming a lot of people to her...which i love, really i do. but snow white was also abused and, in her film, makes it a point to end the cycle of abuse. she was even the victim of a murder attempt, after which she continues to pick herself up and find shelter and work for her keep, and that gets lost so much and i think, whereas cinderella's dreams center around happiness, snow white singing of the fact that she's dreaming of the nice things someone would say to her and the way she needs grumpy to like her makes so much sense given her background and i literally never EVER see anyone discussing abuse when it comes to snow white. i think if people started talking her character more seriously and analyzing and appreciating it the way y'all do elsa, we would be saved from the heinously bad takes that get attributed to her (see: rachel zegler. that girl has not said ONE valid thing about snow white and her views are so embarrassingly stamped by pseudo online activism from the early 2000s by users that, not only don't realize how dumb they are but also think they're smarter than everyone else because they dabble in armchair psychology, and it's enough)
ariel collecting isn't leaned into as much as it should be tbh (and i'm talking as a serious pastime, not a parody of her never understanding human things that's contingent on her being a mermaid or being totally ignorant to humans)!!! like we get it, belle reads, but i think ariel collecting as a hobby is so much more interesting and well-rounded and nuanced. like, first of all, ariel collecting doesn't eliminate other hobbies, but actually promotes them! like she has books in her grotto, and we see her reading in poyw, but that's not the ONLY thing to her! she probably picks up on so many tiny details about like historical time periods or climates or dress patterns in a way that heightens life and reality and bridges people together because of all the studying she does and it's just soooo interesting to me, as we see things like the historical community evolve on tiktok and people who are fascinated with studying other cultures and the evolution of fandom in general, etc. also, i get this might be super super hot of a take but i think jodi performs certain songs better than she does part of your world...like i do love the song and i think it's more than worthy of being ariel's character's theme song but there's definitely some other bops in there that are just as good, if not better
belle should have a sequel where she gets to be unlikable for a change! even when she is unlikable in the film, it's never perceived as a character fault and linda woolverton's writing/the other characters in the film just blind hero worship and idolize belle and it's creepy tbh and i think it robs her of being a fully realized person that's treated like other people and can build human connections! like, everyone thinks she's stunning and wants a piece of her and never really takes her to task about her character flaws or even mentally challenges her and i think that's why she's so depressed? people only view her as being ultra desirable, whether it's the castle objects seeing her as a beautiful girl that can fall in love with the beast to the point where they ignore the really shady stuff she does, or gaston thinking she's the most beautiful girl in town and wanting to marry her, or even her fans thinking she's the smartest female character who ever breathed and is incapable of flaws. i think if we treated belle more as a person, maybe she could also have an arc in her movie and it wouldn't just be about the beast! also i think it'd be refreshing and we'd allow women to be people, too, and not this "smartest girl in town, but modest about it, prettiest girl in town, but unaware of it, loyal to her father but still stands up for herself, etc etc etc" unrealistic model. belle deserves EQUALS not just admirers who will never measure up to this pedestal they put her on
cinderella 1950 and cinderella 2015 are not interchangeable as characters or films!!! kenneth and lily did a HORRIBLE job at interpreting ilene woods's cinderella and the changes they made are shameful and the original character had so much more strength and realism to her, but in her own feminine way, and lily's character was a giant step back and is the epitome of making loud changes that result to NOTHING. the way the entire 2015 cast badmouthed cinderella 1950 on their press tour has always sat uncomfortably with me and so many people prefer it over the original one i just. also, cinderella looks best in pink! i LOVE aurora in pink, and we're omitting silver because that IS cinderella's color and nothing compares, but i just think she's so vibrant and cute in her pink dress and i love her with her hair down and it's just so much more fun and human and it doesn't get nearly as much attention as it should
they desperately need to age the content/demographics of the franchise up, like ngl them turning these women (and yes, i think they're women not little girls and the point of their movies is them BECOMING women) into like little nursery crib characters for babies and infantilizing them is creepy. also a HUGE segment of the fanbase is an adult one, like fans of the disney renaissance ladies are typically in the 20s-40s, not four year old's, and i just think disney is doing themselves a disservice by largely ignoring all the adult fans who collect these characters and make artwork for them and keep the princesses in vogue by writing about them and making social media content about them. like the avengers can really tap into their fanbase like that, meanwhile the best us princess fans have are like 8 dollar playline dolls?!?! where is our movie!!! where is our CONTENT. the 2003 princess party dvds will no longer suffice!

Silly Game Time: Do you often remember your dreams? What's a dream that you do particularly remember?
Myself, I almost never do. But I do remember one where I wandered around an empty, medieval city wearing a tailcoat tuxedo and carrying a yellow rose.
I DO REMEMBER MY DREAMS!
Cutting here for long reply below!
So, as I said, I remember a lot of my dreams, usually, at least one per night/day!
Lately I've been dreaming a lot about mermaids/sirens/selkie/sea creatures.
Today I had 2 dreams about them today, one was about a young widow with a daughter, they left off to have a summer break with the mother's friends since they thought the mom needed to be back on the market since it had been a while since her husband died and she was "wasting her life" mourning her late husband, but when they arrived to the beach, many sea creatures kept harrasing the widow to steal her daughter and take her back to sea as she was the rightful heir to the ocean throne. (The daughter was pretty much like a selkie/skin walker since a porpoise gave the child a skin to go with it into the sea).
My other today's dream was that I was playing a rogue-like game about a mermaid that had been fishnapped by a buff jerk "local hero" that was obsessed with himself and maintaining his title as "the best" (kinda like Gaston from Disney's Beauty and the Beast). The mermaid was put into a bathtub in middle of an abandoned lighthouse that was now kinda far from the sea as the ocean had started to dry up, and now, far away from the sea, her only way to go back was by basically killing herself, dettaching her own spirit from her body with the help of her mermaid magic, and in spirit-only, she'd have to travel thorugh dimensions to go back to her sea (she didn't mind "dying" as she wanted her freedom over anything else, and if she was sucessful in her journey though dimensions, her mortal body would melt into sea foam while her spirit would be rebirthed into the sea).
A couple of days ago (like 2) I also dreamed about a former idol that threw it all away to have a normal life, she left the idol life to be a normal nerdish girl with a deep love for weird RPGs and History. She enjoys a happy normal life with her group of 6 friends (5 girls, and her best friend, a nerd boy), and though there are rumours her former idol band will comeback, and everyone keeps making a fuss about it, she doesn't mind it much and focuses on her normal girl stuff like a final project/exam for her history class which consist in making a thesis on lost cultures/civilizations; she researched along one of her friends about a lost palace that ended underwater as the palace's princess saw their ancient artifacts as a great evil that shouldn't befall the hands of these who would misuse them as the crown had the power to turn anyone into a beautiful being with incredible leadership capabilities that without doubt, could have the world at their mercy.
Fastforwards, it turns out the former Idol's band is, indeed, making a big return, they do interviews and all that, the press being particularly nosey about the former idols' leader (since it's this girl that left it all behind for a normal life), the former idol doesn't have much time to bother with it though as her best friend (the nerd) went missing/was probably murdered and she's no. #1 suspect, though it'd later BECOME a problem since it turns out the new leader of the idols' group is a doppelgänger of herself which is also a mermaid and claims she's the resurrection of the underwater palace's princess, the thing here is that the doppelgänger has the crown of legends and the idol girl suspects her mermaid doppelgänger can have something to do with her best friend going missing.
^- I drew the Idol girl in paint.
As for dreams where I'm more involved with them, I also remember many, but for a time after breaking up with my ex, I had a very recurrent dream in which I was trapped inside a multiple stories high sort-of department with multiple themed rooms filled with monsters, and I couldn't run away from it through the windows nor balconies nor nothing like that because I'd just respawn on the same point prior jumping off, and rooms with a red snapper where the only safe rooms.
This Red Snapper kept insisting he was my best friend, and he gave me life advice and also tips on how to get out of the house (by finding the main door's key).
It was a recurrent dream with many, different parts. The last part I dreamed was when I found the key at the house basement, the Red Snapper was there, but he had been cooked and spiced with herbs. The Red Snapper pressured me to grab the key and run away as someone would soon come. It was my ex and they threw knives at me as if the monsters behind them wasn't enough (note: abusive relationship). The Red Snapper sacrificed itself, becoming a meal for the monsters to let me escape and that's the last time I dreamed with him.
Up until this date, I still have Red Snappers hanging around my Animal Crossing house in honour of my best friend.
#Long post lol#I also have a photo of a red snapper inside my Monster Hunter Risebreak's room in honour of my bestie.

I need to know more about Lazari in your AU
She deserves more content from fans
Hi! I'm so sorry it took me so long to answer this ask, and also thank you for sending me an ask in the first place! I love answering questions, even if it takes me a bit to respond :3
I agree with you, Lazari deserves better. I mean like, even her own creator did her dirty man, SHE HAS SO MUCH POTENTIAL!!! Her concept is so cool and her own comic did her SO DIRTY. I hate the treatment she gets from fans too.
Yeah I get it her comic was terribly written and was the origin of the 'I HAVE CRAYONS AND PAPER!!!!!' meme and the characters were poorly written and the lore was inconsistent and the fanservice was weird and the story/tone was ALL OVER THE PLACE. But like, don't take it out on my baby Lazari please she deserves better.
I wanna do some more silly headcanons of her this time around, I might make a separate post on more serious stuff about her ;)
So, let's get cracking!
Lazari Headcanons!
-She's on the Autism Spectrum, diagnosed and all :3. She also has ADHD, also diagnosed! She's the representation we deserve to see in this fandom lol.
-She's Chibiworks. Okay, let me explain:
SO, when Lazari first came into the Mansion, she was just an 8 year old girl with demonic tendencies who was abused by her hyper-religious mother who hated her. She hated herself, she was shy, and she believed that she was nothing more than a monster, a mistake. But all of a sudden she goes from that to the DAUGHTER OF THE EMPEROR OF THE UNDERWORLD, a literal DISNEY PRINCESS (cuz yk she's his daughter), and now she literally lives in a Magical Forest in a Magical Mansion of Serial Killers, Ghosts and Demons.
She thought that the world around her was super interesting considering she never got to see much of the outside. She loves drawing, so she drew about it. She drew about the potential greater stories unravelling around her, making her own characters based on concepts she learnt about whilst exploring.
She made I Eat Pasta for Breakfast as a way of letting her imagination go wild around this new environment she found herself in. She made characters to interact with the people that already existed, and gave them purposes.
(Btw, several of the weird stuff and the not kid-appropriate scenes in the comic are retconned out of this version.)
She also made Creepy Frozen Pasta, just saying. She also wrote The Seer. She wrote every Creepypasta comic in existence. Found a cool Creepypasta comic series? Lazari wrote it.
-She LOVES drawing. Her artstyle is very much manga-inspired and she loves creating her own OCs, which are littered throughout her work. A lot of them are directly based on concepts, such as many of Zalgo's followers in IEPFB being based on the idea of Zalgo having a cult of personality around him.
-She's definitely an animation meme kid. I'm deffo self-projecting but she is the DEFINITION of the weird kid. She makes animation memes of everyone in the mansion. She makes animatics of actual stuff that happened. She makes amateur dubs of her own comics.
-Manga is her biggest hyperfixation. She collects TONS of them, and directly draws panels from her favourite manga to improve her drawing skills. Her favourite Manga series of all time is Fruits Basket :3. Her room is basically just all of her drawing scattered around the place.
She specifically likes Horror and Shoujo anime, despite the fact that they're basically polar opposites. Alongside Fruits Basket, she really likes Madoka Magica!
-She definitely makes AMVs of her favourite animes. She deffo writes terribly written fanfiction about her favourite anime couples kissing and giggles whilst writing it.
-She's also a Gacha Life kid FUCKING FIGHT ME SHE DEFINITELY MAKES GACHA OCS. She definitely stays up until 2am with Sally watching 'Hated Child turns into Hybrid Princess' videos. Lazari gasps in shock every single time and Sally is just sitting there extremely confused.
-Sally is her best friend. She lore-dumps to Sally all the time about her special interests, and Sally listens intently and nods along. She even writes notes about the lore of her favourite series! Sally is a super supportive best friend, and any time any of the ghost kids make fun her for her autistic behaviour she puts them in their place.
-Despite this, the two of them argue a lot, because they're kids and just of course they do. Fun fact! The reason why Sally only appears like once in IEPFB is because Lazari initially wrote her in, then the two got into a fight and she took her out of the story. They made up soon after but Lazari thought it would be too awkward to add her back in and Sally just accepted it.
-She has a very unorthodox form of common sense. With that I mean she has none at all. Once the mansion was on fire, and Slender screamed at her to get up and evacuate. Her reaction? She told him to leave her alone and let her sleep.
-She really likes Vocaloid, and her favourite Vocaloid isn't even a Vocaloid. Her favourite, uh, singing bank, is Kasane Teto! She claims that her robotic voice (before the SynthV AI transfer) was pleasant to her ears.
-Her favourite Vocaloid Song is Kasane Territory, because of the animation meme of course >:D.
-She also definitely tried to make a Storytime Youtube Channel but everyone in the Mansion made her delete it because she was sharing personal information about them all. Like genuinely she'd be like 'SO THE OTHER DAY MASKY AND HOODY WERE ON A MISSION FOR SLENDERMAN AND THEY KILLED THIS ONE GIRL WHO LIVES AT THIS ADDRESS IN THIS STATE'.
She has like zero concept of Internet Safety.
-She's a massive Melanie Martinez fan. She got Sally into her music, and back when Melanie Martinez was like just getting popular she'd sing all of her songs super loudly in the shower. Once Slenderman referred to the house as a 'Dollhouse' and Lazari screamed 'DOLLHOUSE BY MELANIE MARTINEZ? HEY GIRL, OPEN YOUR WALLS, PLAY WITH YOUR DOLLS-'.
-She used to be a massive Roblox kid in 2017 and was also an MSP kid. Christ she was on so many virtual worlds, she was even on Animal Jam sort of.
-Fanon Masky, Hoody and Toby were invented by her. Fanon Masky was made PURELY out of spite for him. The first time they met was not pleasant, as he called her a brat. Lazari vowed to humiliate him in every way possible from that point forward. She found out that he hated children, hated Slenderman, hated Cheesecake, hated the texture of Crayons, and hated jokingly being called a twink by Toby.
All of that combined? You got the Crayon-having, Cheesecake-eating, Skinny, Scrawny, Slenderman dick-riding Fanon Masky that we all know and love. The other residents found out about this strange new version of him and it became so popular she drew individual fanarts of him and handed it to all of the residents. Even Slenderman has a picture of Cheesecake Masky on his Office Wall. Somehow Masky didn't find out about this until a long time after the fad ended.
In my AU Hoody is a selective mute who doesn't verbally communicate with anyone besides the Proxies, so he was deathly silent when he first met Lazari. She misunderstood this as him just being shy and so Shy UwU boy Hoody was made.
Fanon Toby is just a sarcastic persona Toby puts on to piss other people off. She misunderstood this as his REAL personality and alongside the waffles thing that Jeff and Ben always mentioned (Toby stopped liking Waffles long before Lazari came), Fanon Toby was made.
-She made the Dollmaker (yeah he exists) make her plushies of everyone in the Mansion + The Zalgo and a few of her OCs. What does she do with them, you may ask? She roleplays with them with Sally. They've made a bunch of random ships with this, and now they're both avid Slender x Zalgo shippers. They also ship EJ with a lot of people as he has such a versatile personality, but they mainly like EJ and Jeff.
Lazari also found out that Masky was sort of intimidated by Nurse Ann so she shipped them very vocally in front of him.
-She's a massive Sanrio-girl, and her favourite character is My Melody :D. She's watched the entirety of Onegai My Melody at least like sixteen times already.
-She tried to learn Japanese, and failed miserably. She can sometimes read Hiragana if Kagekao writes it really carefully.
-Her own handwriting is really terrible, almost illegible. It's a gift to be able to read anything she writes.
-She's a part of the Mansion's Literature Club, and Ben nicknames her the Natsuki of the club, as she's always insisting that Manga is literature.
-She argues with Slender, as he believes that comics and Manga shouldn't be considered literature, as they're all pictures and barely any words. Lazari TO THIS DAY debates him about it.
-About her demonic urges, they're manageable as long as you give her a random body part to chew on every once and a while. She doesn't lose her control like she once did when she first came, and she's not as dangerous anymore. She's like a saint compared to EJ.
-As she's a half-demon, she has some godly amount of brute force strength. She can carry someone thrice her size and force open any door, no matter how many locks are on it.
She also has an incredibly high pain tolerance. Once she got scratched up pretty bad by EJ when he was in a particularly bad Demonic State, the girl didn't even notice until Lulu noticed.
-About Lulu, she was actually assigned to show her around when she first arrived at the Mansion! Lulu had told Slender earlier that she wanted to take charge of whoever came after her, and has a really good relationship with Lazari. She's one of Lazari's favourite people.
-Her relationship with her dad is...strange. On one hand when she does get to visit they generally have a nice time, however due to how much she reminds him of his deceased little sister, sometimes he'll accidentally call her 'Lily', which dampens the mood a little bit.
-Stripes ADORES her. The two sisters are very close and Stripes just loves her so much, she even made her her Teddy Bear that she's famous for carrying around :3.
-She had a phase where she called herself an irl Yandere. Thankfully she stopped after like a month but it was very funny lol
-She loves Nightcore! And Trance Music, oddly enough. One of her favourite songs is 'Be Alive!' By Stian K. (Search up the song. If you recognise the song from a certain animation meme of her then you deserve all of my respect).
-Her favourite food is Chocolate Strawberries.
Okay, if you want to ask some more serious lore-related questions then go right ahead and I'll answer! I just have so much of Lazari since she was one of my comfort characters when I was little and first got into Creepypastas. I see a lot of myself in her and I'm so peeved that the fandom either completely ignores her or dislikes her, like she's got so much potential! She's an incredibly important character in my AU actually, and one day I'll make a post detailing her correlation with the greater story :3
Hope you enjoyed! If you're new to this blog and are just seeing this post, then I have an AU named 'Puppet Strings', with its own lore and interpretations of the characters. If you're curious, come check out my blog and you can ask me questions!

{{ Ok, I have a cold, and I swear I will get to my older threads
but for now let's talk Asha lol
This is one of those characters where I'm like-- Am I restructuring her/making her canon divergent or is this just how she was actually meant to be like, but what I'm going to do is look at the roots of her character and build her up from there and just see where she lands.
Here are her roots and what I extrapolate from them...
Her father was a philosopher and astronomer. She was closest to her father, a real daddy's girl, before he passed away. In turn, she knows how to read star charts, could point out the name of any constellation, and could find her way back home by looking at the night sky. The night sky is a motif of her's in this way. King Magnifico also seems to know who her father is. Now, ofc its very possible he's just unusually good at remembering random citizens, but to me that implies that the father came into contact with the king enough for him to have fond memories of him. Now I imagine their relationship to be this-- they once ( or maybe multiple times ) discussed philosophy but had their disagreements, though amicably so. You can kinda tell by the way Magnifico recalls him-- fondly but a tiny bit dismissive. " oh you, always looking at the stars for answers " kind of tone. But overall, the father still thought highly of the king, and so he sort of relayed to his daughter an incomplete and more perfect picture of him ( though the father himself sort of had a suspicion the king was less than perfect ) which would cause Asha to idolize the king.
Asha thought very highly of the king. She's practically a superfan of the king, even. She owns multiple books about him, has enamel pins of the kingdom's rose insignia, and this eventually allows her to become a literal tourist guide whose primary job is basically to talk up how fantastic he is and show national pride. If she's willing to do this we can assume she's happily and enthusiastically a very big fan of Magnifico ( even if she's one of the only female characters that doesn't express attraction to him lmao ) The books she owns of him implies she likely assumed she knew everything there was to know about him, which is why she was so shocked to find that none of his published stories mention the tragic past he later reveals to her.
She wanted to be the king's apprentice. Now this one is a vague character motivation in the movie, and that... bothers me. So we'll flesh it out and say yes, she did indeed want sincerely to be the king's apprentice, as an extension of her "fan of the king" core trait and... stay with me-- her love for animation. We know she is literally a cartoonist who does a sort of archaic animation with her notebook. What if that is an extension of her desire to learn magic, the desire to make things move that wouldn't, "the illusion of life" as Disney puts it. In a city where magic is outlawed, this was the only way she knew how to "practice magic" with the hope of one day being the king's apprentice. Because that law puts people in a weird position where they have to apply for a job they know nothing about.
She wanted her grandfather's wish granted. This is the part of her that I was never very fond of because the way they conveyed this trait of her's made her come across as oddly... selfish? And they don't really frame it as heroic as she could be with a slight change. They make a point of having her grumpy friend point out that becoming an apprentice, right at this moment, could easily be seen as her trying to game the system for the sake of getting wishes and she just... doesn't convincingly deny that's what she's doing. ( which is a little snakey for a disney princess-type girl, ngl! ) And then, after having this heartbreaking talk with the king and he trusts her enough to show her the wishes, she immediately decides to ask him for a royal favor before she even gets the job. In which, Magnifico looks kind of hurt and mentions most people at least wait months to ask and-- honestly, it just made her look really awful in my opinion. We're going to keep this core trait, but emphasize her desire to be the king's apprentice and a more generalized respect for the wishes of all her people overall, and have her more-so ask WHY the grandfather's wish wasn't granted, giving the king the benefit of the doubt that there was a good reason it wasn't, and that maybe she could discuss it and change his mind. So now, her mistake wasn't demanding a wish, her mistake was assuming the king was someone who could be calmly reasoned with, and it comes across more like a burning curiosity about how the wishes are handled rather than a sudden selfish demand for preferential treatment. Reflecting better her existing core trait of respecting the king and her kingdom. ( It doesn't make sense to me that she wouldn't gather from context clues that some people just don't get their wishes granted. Surely she would guess this based on the population / wish granting ratio lol ) And then they can still argue over what's best for people and all that-- I just think this slight reframing makes more sense. It also helps to emphasize that her primary goal was sincerely to be the apprentice.
Her general personality ... will probably be tweaked just a little. I always found it odd that she is somehow both a tour guide that interacts with people regularly and also severely socially awkward. But here's the thing-- is she socially awkward? Or was she just extremely nervous that day about meeting the king? I would probably depict that as more of an outlier for her instead of how she usually is. I would describe her core personality as... strongly and abrasively opinionated, maybe even a little hard-headed, naturally prone to disobeying authority ( not just because of the king but how she sneaks around and goes against her parents on just about... everything lol ), but deeply empathetic ( and a people person for that matter, she can endear a crowd ) and optimistic. Maybe even optimistic to a fault. She seems to believe that by default most-- if not all-- people are good with good intentions based on how she says " The people of Rosas are good people " which is... a kind of naive assumption lol. But also one additional detail-- she seems to know multiple languages! You can hear her say hello in multiple languages before giving her tour. That, combined with her astronomy knowledge and animation, likely implies she's a quick learner as well !
And that's all I can think of right now !! }}
#{{ a small essay yes but-- this really helped me get a better feel for her honestly !! }}#34. { 𝒜𝓈𝒽𝒶 } ࿚ || headcanon. ||#{ 𝑔𝑒𝓃𝑒𝓇𝒶𝓁. } ࿚ out of character.

Peter Pan and Wendy Trailer: Um...
I just saw the trailer of “Peter Pan and Wendy”... and I would lying if I said I was at a loss for words because I do have words to say. Please hear me out and please really listen to me.
I think the actress who is playing Tinkerbell is lovely and she makes an adorable Tinkerbell. I mean, Tinkerbell is a fairy. Her skin colour doesn’t matter, so in any other fiction, Tinkerbell can be anything the director wants her to be. However, I think DISNEY Tinkerbell should look like DISNEY Tinkerbell. She has appeared in two Peter Pan films, her own films, had cameo appearances and even her own TV series in the Disney-verse. And not just her hair and skin colour. Her personality, her outfit and her shows, pompoms and all, are the complete package. Disney should respect the very character, who is an excellent work of art within herself, they created.
Same goes with the other characters. And as for making some of the “Lost Boys” girls... that’s just plain awkward. I am all for equality, but you’ve got Tinkerbell, Wendy and even princess Tiger Lilly or even the mermaids who are pretty badass. You don’t need to shoehorn in girls into a group literally labelled “Lost Boys”. Heck, even Wendy’s daughter Jane in the sequel was a badass! It’s ok for the Lost Boys to all be boys. That’s the way the story goes. I mean, does anyone complain that in Strawberry Shortcake, the majority of the cast consists of girls?
My impression of this movie is that it’s heart is in the right place, but in attempt to be respectful of the times, it is blatantly ignoring key elements in both the original story and its OWN story. And I am left feeling uncomfortable not because I have a problem with BIPOC representation or gender equality. But because I am all for it, but not when it is done as a means of selling a buck or as what will be used as a guilt card in case you don’t like the movie (which is a total low blow and an insult to everything representation stands for).
In short, I do not like being gaslighted and I do NOT fall for it. I am not rigid, but I am not mush either. I mean, I just said that in any other media, ANY of the characters of Peter Pan could be BIPOC since the setting takes place in London which is a pretty diverse society to begin with and was even back then. What I did say, Disney Peter Pan has character designs that are now a permanent part of the lore and changing them at this point looks weird and like a selling point tactic.
Please don’t hate me. I don’t hate the actors nor do I blame them. If anything, I believe they deserve better too.
PS: If you want to see a version of Peter Pan that is progressive in all of the ways done right, I strongly suggest the underrated gem Hook directed by Steven Spielberg.

I had another dream of someone
He had sandy hair, green blue eyes, and a really nice smile with a nice jawline.
He was handsome, tall, and smelled good. The best part was his voice. He had a deep rumbling voice that he liked to use to tease me while holding my cheek, whispering in my ear to make me squirm. Just to get a reaction out of me.
In the dream he gave me attention, at first it was to get laid with me, but later unfolded my secrets. For some reason it took place in Spring, my home town in my childhood house. My room was the same but different. Like if we had never moved out, and I got to have my own room. Like I just changed my childhood room, making my sister move into my brother's room.
The guy waited outside my door, waiting for me to finish putting away my childhood dolls, but he peeked through the door, seeing me scramble around, putting all the doll clothes, dolls, and items I saved into the pink treasure chest I have, shoving everything inside. I was blushing so hard.
When I opened the door, he held my arm and face, walking me backward into my own bed, where he just laid on top of me, not doing anything without my permission, but whispering into my ear.
He made me tremble with his sweet words, overflowing my senses with his laugh.
And then, of course, my family had a problem with him. At first, it was with me, but then suddenly they deemed me their daughter again, and had to "protect" me from him. It felt weirdly similar to how E came into my life.
But this guy wasn't E. Not in the slightest.
He was helplessly in love with me, and I didn't know what to do at first.
I was playing hard to get in the beginning, making sure he was truly trying to get to know me and not use me. Keeping him on his toes when he was around me, being essentially a tsundere. I realize that's how I act sometimes. I act mean, but I get softer if you stay with me. I may push you away, but it doesn't mean I want you gone. I expect resistance. I expect someone to fight for me.
Because I'm worth it… right?
I'm worth being loved the way I want to be loved. I would love it if the tables were turned, if I have to go above and beyond to someone, just to get them to pay attention to me. I want to give myself to someone who I know will be able to handle me, small bits or huge explosions of me. But I have to know they want to know that, I can just shower all this onto a stranger. You have to gain my trust.
Truth is, I want someone obsessed with me.
This man in the dream was obsessed, but not in a creepy way, just like a love interest character in a book or movie, that let's the girl lead take back her life, and he's loving her every step of the way, because he's into weird quirky girls who fight for themselves, even though he 100% is capable of fighting for her he doesn't get in her way.
It's such a Disney fantasy love. But it's what I grew up with. It's what I want. A Princess Mononoke and Prince Ashitaka love. We are each our own person, but together we are stronger.
That's what I want.

Emma quickly made her way to the bathroom. “ Okay, I will!” she called. Then the blonde realized what Snow just said. Weird. Sitting on the potty, Emma suddenly felt… strange. “ Mom, can I play with your phone?” the blonde asked. What was going on? She sounded like she was Neal’s age or younger!
"Good girl," Snow smiled as she went in to check on her daughter as ifit was the most common thing to do. "How's my big girl in the potty doing today" Snow cooed at her daughter. "Sure sweetie here you go," Snow gave her phone to Emma after selecting a childish game that features the Disney princesses, it was odd Snow doesn't remember ever downloading the Disney princesses app.

F and R!
Hello!
F: I suppose the longest fandom would be either Sailor Moon or Pokemon. I was into them as a kid, and when I got onto the internet as a preteen I found fansites that talked about the Japanese versions, which led me to learning about anime and how many other things I watch were from Japan (like Yu-Gi-Oh! and Digimon) and I was so fascinated that when my father found out about anime conventions he and my mom took me. I dressed up as Sailor Sun, a TOTALLY original character, and the rest is history. Sailor Moon and Pokemon had a lot of influence on my art, as well as some of my early stories (fun fact, my namesake Digimon OC is partially based on characters from Sailor Moon and Inuyasha)
R: Oh boy XD Most people don't know about my rarepairs or crackships because I so rarely talk about them! I don't think this is even all of them, I just picked some of my top ones that I sometimes think of and would like to do fanfiction of someday (but likely never will if I'm being honest)
Put under read more for length XD
Snow White and Tiana. I mostly see them as platonic baking buddies, but if they were to meet when Snow White is an adult (and obviously with the help of time-and-space travel shenanigans) it could be a cute pairing. I also think the idea of the first and last traditionally animated Disney princesses being friends is cute.
Fakir and Pike from Princess Tutu, but only after the series. Without getting into everything that happens in the show, the main character Ahiru goes back to being a duck and lives with Fakir by a lake. I have this specific idea about how Fakir wants to bring by people Ahiru knew when she was human so she wouldn't just rely on him for companionship, so he invites these two girls he knew were her friends, Pike and Lily. And over time Pike, who in the series id have a minor crush on Fakir, grows closer to Fakir.
Lizzie McGuire and Isabella Parigi. Assuming Isabella is meant to be about Lizzie's age, I think it'd be cute and hilarious if the two girls who Paolo fucked over formed a friendship that turned romantic. I like to imagine they became penpals after all the stuff in Rome and it evolved from there.
Murray and Jing King from Sly Cooper. I actually started writing a fanfic for this but I lost steam on it. It was mostly spawned from two things 1. thematic appropriateness as it was Murray's resolve to save his van that helped strengthen Panda King's own resolve to save his daughter. So while he would still be hesitant about them being together, I think eventually he would feel Murray could be trusted. and 2. there's a bit of spite behind the idea, as the only other Jing King fanfic at the time had her paired with her misogynoistic captor.
Mavis and Angus from The Adventure Zone. I think they would be cute as like first crushes of each othr, and I think Merle's reaction would be hilarious XD
David and Mr Talbot from Alvin and the Chipmunks. Again, mostly born from an unwritten fanfic I thought of for a Dracula film addition to the Wolfman and Frankenstein films. Without getting into the whole plot and just focusing on the subplot relevant to the ship, Theodore and Mr. Talbot weren't actually cured of lycanthropy but they have better control and Mr. Talbot is now serving as a "werewolf mentor" for Theodore. During a school trip to Transylvania both he and David are chaperoning and after seeing some interactions between them Theodore starts to get the idea of playing matchmaker so his werewolf mentor can also be a dad. Alvin hates the idea because Mr. Talbot is their principal and it'd be weird, so he and Theodore clash on that throughotu the course of the plot.
The background lesbian bug from Cuphead. Specifically this one:
This one I know no one has ever shipped. I've never seen anyone acknowledge her, how all the other bugs are focused on the fight but she's focused on the dancing girls, and I am weirdly obsessed with her existence and would like her to date one or both of the dancers.

Alright so I’m going to try to relay this to the best of ability because this was like 3 days ago at this point and I don’t remember everything perfectly. To set the scene this dream took place in like a weird parallel universe to ever after high, none of the characters were the same, it was owned by Disney, but the world mechanics and art style was the same. So essentially it was the same thing of fairy tale kids taking on the roles of their fairy tale parents and recreating the story. Enter our main character. I honestly do not remember whose kid she was supposed to be but I do remember she was very dissatisfied with what she was supposed to do in the future, I think just because she thought it was boring or something??? Let’s just say she was like the daughter of the muffin man or something because I think she was the daughter of some kind of baker and that is kind of a burning future so that’s my best guess on who her parent was. So essentially she is terrified of this future, she is not interested in it at all. Her dream is the be a monarch, a princess, have the interesting fairy tale endings every one else has. Her friends who I also don’t remember anything about attempt to comfort her before she takes the pledge to follow in the path of her parent. Notably I believe at least one of them tries to tell her to follow what her heart wants and not take the pledge. Before she goes to take the pledge she runs away which leads to a chase throughout the castle/school (I honestly don’t know what’s going on there this universe was weird) between muffin girl and several other fairy tale students including her friends. She locks herself into to a small closet/dungeon thing that was next to Rumplestilskin’s gold spinning room (again I have no clue that this building was, it gets infinitely more confusing later) and hides there to avoid getting caught and in trouble. Eventually one student manages to convince the other students to go away so she can talk to muffin girl on her own. It is the daughter of the queen of hearts (not the same one from the actual show, like none of the characters are the same). How they decided she was the best one to talk to muffin girl is beyond me because she was straight up not even one of her friends?? They were acquaintances at best with a bit of dislike on muffin girl’s end towards the queen of hearts daughter because she was royalty. The queen of hearts in this world I think was like the ruler of the land they were in, but also it wasnt wonderland so I don’t know what was going on there either?? I think the daughter of the queen of hearts suggested she go talk to her cause she just wants to solve everyone’s public problems and be the hero of everything, although I don’t think she was particularly mean, just kind of starved for attention from her family so she just seeks validation and glory. Anyway so she goes to talk to muffin girl who is becoming increasingly more and more erratic. Muffin girl eventually monologues about how she wants her life to be, and how she wants the her life instead of being the muffin man’s daughter. She then like straight up RIPS THE QUEEN OF HEARTS DAUGHTER’S EYS OUT AND FUCKING EATS THEM. She bleeds out and dies and then it’s revealed that you can take someone else’s fairy tale role, either by force or it being given to you. Muffin girl takes on the role of the queen of hearts and becomes a malicious and insane ruler who now uses the phrase “OUT WITH THEIR EYES” instead of “off with their heads,” because muffin girl is pretty insane and she is mad with power at this point. Also the castle she is ruling in is the same place as the school?? Which has Rumplestilskin’s straw room thing in it??? Idk man. The only good thing to come out of this is now people kind of just trade their fairy tale roles like candy. If you don’t like it, you can just give it to someone who does want it! They try to be friendly about it cause everyone is straight up terrified of being murdered by someone who wants their fairytale role after what happened.
Anyway, everyone in the kingdom thinks muffin girl is fucking insane and they now this in fear of her constantly as well as having a fear of each-other now. yay. Everyone is miserable and they live essentially in a fascist state now the end.
I don’t know why my mind did this but I kind of love the idea of ever after high characters killing eachother for roles or titles so good job my brain??? That’s kind of metal.
Anyone want to hear about my weird as Ever After High type dream I had a few nights ago because it honestly was so good and I want to talk about ittt

Dear disney, if you want to know what your old movies are actually about instead of simply saying the women in them are useless, perhaps read this post here:
Snow White: Disney thinks Snow White is about a woman who needs a prince to come save her. Untrue. The prince doesn't even come into the picture properly until the end. Snow White, in the old Disney film, is actually about a girl in witness protection. She's hiding from a woman who wants to kill her. She's making smart decisions by lying low and making friends with people who the queen certainly won't imagine her step daughter associating with- namely because she's supposed to be a princess and she's also supposed to be dead until the huntsman messes up. She's not useless. She's surviving. You don't have to girl boss her up because she doesn't need to be.
Cinderella: disney also thinks this movie is about a woman being saved by a prince. I would like to remind Disney that the prince doesn't do shit. Cinderella is the one who goes to the ball. Yes, with help, but she is the one who decides to go. she is the one who decides to defy her abuser to go to a prince who is offering her a way out of her horrible home life. Cinderella gets out of the room with help, but Cinderella is the one who decides to go. She doesn't need girl bossing up.
Sleeping Beauty: not much to say here. Sometimes it's okay to be saved by a prince. I still love this film. I love Aurora and how she likes singing and dancing and wandering in the woods because some girls just be like that disney. They don't all need ambition.
The little Mermaid: disney thinks she needs girl bossing up because a prince saves her. In reality, Ariel of her own volition, has the ambition to go above the water. it's not about a prince, she wanted to go before she saw him, but the prince is a bonus too. Plus, he's literally the only way she can stay above water, so yeah, I would turn on the charm too. Ariel is already strong willed and independent. Her voice being taken away doesn't take away from that. If anything, it shows her determination.
Beauty and the Beast: belle doesn't need girl bossed up. She's educated. She's strong willed. She's compassionate enough to see the man beneath the beast and not change him, but remind him of his own humanity. The message here is that there is always more than what the surface shows us.
Aladdin: Jasmine doesn't need saving. They don't even get married in the first film. Jasmine is strong willed, she has a mind of her own and while she is spoiled and doesn't realise what life is like beyond the palace at least she's willing to learn. Her father listens to her. He does. He just wants to protect her. Aladdin in this movie is saving himself, not Jasmine. In this movie Jasmine is already a good character, she doesn't need more adding to her.
Mulan: I don't even need to say anything about Mulan. Mulan is literally a story about self identity and putting your family above yourself. It has only a little to do with gender politics in my opinion. More in the way that being a girl is the main problem. I would say that mulan could have been a bird transformed human and you still would get around the same movie. It's about the self, not the gender. Mulan is finding herself finding the person on the inside also on the outside, finding her confidence and her will to do whatever she needs to in order to help those around her, in the end, being a girl is inconsequential to her. So making the entire film about her being a girl and not her finding her dragon guardian inside of herself was a stupid move. Also the magic stuff was weird.
Old movies don't need feminist agendas. They're about women so they're already feminist movies. The only thing disney is doing is ruining good movies with horrible extras and taking away what made them good to begin with. They don't even understand the structure anymore. The magic is gone. The characters aren't driven like they were in their heyday and it's sad.
Disney is a monster.
