"September 2023 was the last time we all truly smiled as a fandom" I AM CACKLING. This fandom has been a shit show for years. What happened to Noah wasn't a new thing it was just on a more extreme public level. People have been harassing everyone the way the did to him for YEARS. The only people in total denial of this are the ones who are the problem. Noah didn't ruin this fandom. The fans did. They made it impossible for anyone to be comfortable here and none of them have any awareness of how many Jewish fans left because of the way they talked about Noah. Who the fuck could smile in a fandom with so much hatred and no human decency. A large part of this fandom simply isn't mature enough to understand any part of this and they think if they replace knowledge with passion it sounds impressive. Everyone knows they are full of shit. People need to get it out of their heads that celebrities are supposed to save them. They need to stop clinging to lies because they think it justifies their anger. They sound psychotic. Everyone is so tired of this and they have no idea how annoying they are. A trailer could drop tomorrow and the same whiney assholes who won't shut up will make a scene AGAIN because they have nothing better to do. Most people won't give a fuck. They aren't special or saying anything people want to listen to. They also just need a reality check - the way they are talking makes it impossible to take them seriously. They won't spell Noah's name because it's "triggering". They won't mention it sometimes and just say "Will's actor". And they are calling a 19 year old child actor a "genocidal maniac" as if he is responsible for saving anyone. He's not a dictator or a politician. They sound so stupid and anyone who sees those comments knows it. It's why no one is giving them what they want. They aren't changing the world acting like this. They are annoying the fuck out of everyone. People are embarrassed by them. It's just amazing how they don't see this. It's them. It's always been them. This fandom is full of bullies and always has been.

mike says i love you to el: everything always ends up being about mike somehow. i think this is the biggest one. people like the mystery and the way mike's sexuality isn't confirmed like will's is and so they analyze him more which leads to people literally rewriting history with takes like mike is more queercoded than will?😭 i get that everyone knows will is gay now but the mike focus has people thinking that will has no subtext when literally his entire storyline is full of the saddest subtext ever!!! but it's not subtext that you can choose to only read as "this boy is gay" so it's not as fun i guess😔 and it really isn't as fun. because it's mostly heartbreaking and awful lmao but yeah. just wanted to give a thumbs down to the mike is more queercoded than will take again.

mlvns say will is a whiny crybaby, bylers say going through what he's had to go through would make anyone cry just as often so will isn't even that sensitive even though he is it's literally one of the first things we learn about him lol. people imply that being sensitive is bad so often and act like will has sensitive gay kid allegations to beat when he literally doesn't like he is a sensitive gay kid😭 why do you think that's bad exactly...🎤

mike says i love you to el: 90% of people think they read everything wrong for 72-96 hours and then everyone's like oh no i get it now. byler's still endgame. overuse of the term media literacy and everyone who doesn't think or simply doesn't believe that the duffers would make byler endgame is stupid and has no media literacy. which actually comes off as very INSECURE!!!! and is frankly annoying. and obnoxious. the term media literacy needs to be taken away from byler tumblr i'm so serious.

given that the ouroboros forms clearly take some inspiration from the Evangelion mech looks, I kinda wished they had leaned more into similar themes. where’s the body horror? the existential dread of existing in a much larger, stranger form? they get their literal limbs chopped off during fights and its just kind of brushed off since they regenerate.

in general I feel like the ouroboros powers were incredibly underutilized in the story after their initial introduction and unlocking. it was just sort of the protags power that made them able to be the protags, but the actual nature of fusing with someone and seeing their memories, being one with them, being essentially a giant monster, well I just wish it was gone into more.
