that’s a wrap 🎬 ; vi (arcane)
a behind the senes arcane modern au ! (bcs wtf was that ending)
note : this fic (like all of my other ones) are a bit (a lot actually) self indulgent. this will also be in a third person’s point of view because i’m trying to get used (and get better) writing in a 3rd person’s pov. this is also lowkey a vi x reader *sighs*, i just love my gf so bad ya’ll.
p.s. the character names are also their names in ‘real life’ (because i said so).
cw : spoilers for arcane act 3, swearing,
unedited & not proofread
ever since she got her dream role as one of the leading cast in arcane, she started filming bits and pieces of how the show came to life (with the consent of everyone involved of course). since the filming of season 1 up to season 2 act three, (name) has compiled an hour worth of uncut behind the scenes content that she and the cast planned on releasing during the opening premiere for the last act of arcane.
“you ready shortcake?” (name)’s girlfriend called out, just as she finished putting a thin sheet of lipgloss on her lips. “almost done violet,” she called out, putting her shoes one.
(name) took one last look at herself in the full body mirror, admiring her hard work. she wore a dark red dress paired with sheer black elbow length gloves, and black platform heels with red accents (that violet gifted you a couple months ago).
after shoving her phone inside a red clutch, (name)’s bedroom door opened. violet stood in front of her. she wore a two-piece suit with a dark red button-up blouse tucked inside her pants, the first couple of buttons of the blouse were undone, and her hair (at least the ones on the side of her head that wasn’t shaved) was in a messy slick back.
“absolutely gorgeous,” vi whispered under her breath. she walked towards (name), she placed her hands on her girlfriend’s hips before leaning down to kiss her. “flatterer,” (name) giggled as she pressed a finger against vi’s lips, preventing vi from kissing her.
vi nipped at her girlfriend’s gloved finger, “i speak the truth, and nothing but the truth.” she whispered.
(name) hummed, smiling lovingly as her girlfriend. “thank you baby, you look amazing yourself. hot even.”
a loud noise came from (name) and vi’s phone, interrupting their moment.
“we need to go violet, it’s almost time for the premiere.” (name) exclaimed excitedly, breaking away from her girlfriend. she held onto vi’s arm and practically dragged her outside.
“i don’t get a kiss before we go?” vi pouted, (name) rolled her eyes before pressing a quick peck on vi’s lips then proceeded to get inside the passenger seat of her girlfriend’s car. vi sighed, shaking her head before she went inside the driver seat and thinking how she’d make you pay later for not giving her a proper kiss.
ꕀ
let’s just say that everyone was bawling after premiering the last three episodes of arcane. (name) sat in between vi and her sister powder (whose head was resting against ekko’s shoulder) practically vibrating with excitement as the producers went on stage to thank everyone, especially the fans, for coming to the premiere.
it was almost time to present the special behind the scenes video (name) made. everyone knew of the special little project but no one has really seen it, not the director, the producers, or even her loving girlfriend. soon enough, she was called on stage for a little speech and to present the video.
“hi everyone,” she started, voice shaking a bit. “first of all i would like to thank you for coming to tonight’s premiere. it’s been an honor to work with you for the past couple of years. as you all know, i’ve been compiling tons of little snippets of us ever since the production of arcane has started. all in all, i’ve collected an hour’s worth of behind the scenes content. since i didn’t want to keep all of us in here for another hour or so i’ve edited the video and out came the 10 minute behind the scenes compilation that i’m about to play. but don’t worry, i’ve already uploaded the original uncut version to the shared online album for everyone to view.”
a series of murmurs and giggles filled the audience as (name) gave herself a second to pause. “anyways,” you cleared your throat. “without further ado, i present, arcane : behind all the heartbreak and drama, enjoy!”
when (name) sat down next to her girlfriend, the video started rolling.
ꕀ
scene one.
the camera unfocused and focused as a young looking (name) had her face up to close to it’s lens. she had a cheeky smile on her face.
“hi guys! it’s (name) and today is the first day of filming arcane!” she then proceeded to flip the camera and did a little trailer tour. she the went outside where she introduced everyone in the cast as well as the director and producers.
scene two.
the video cuts to what seems to be the scene where the battle between silco and vander happened. (name) shows the audience the set, some of the special effects, and had the actresses for young vi and powder do a little question and answer for her.
“hey girls!” she called out. the two children ran towards her, giddy smiles on their faces. it was right after filming the scene of vi and powder’s falling out, when vi called powder a jinx.
“how does the nose feel?” (name) asked, gingerly touching child powder’s nose that hade fake blood dripping from it. the child shrugged, replying “i’ve had worse. she punches like a little girl.” which made the tween who played young vi roll her eyes.
“that’s a bunch of bull! she cried actual tears, like real tears! she totally wasn’t acting”
(name) sighed and left the two children to playfully argue before the camera cuts to vander and silco. the two men were taking a nap on the side of the set, both had their arms crossed and head leaning against the wall. “they truly are brother,” she spoke into the camera.
the scene cuts again, this time (name) was with the kids who played mylo and claggor.
“as you can see i am not dead,” mylo shouted at the camera, a cheeky grin on his face. while claggor imitates mylo’s death scene, his hand clutching where the steel bar pierces mylo’s skin before dramatically falling to the ground and laughing his ass off.
scene three.
(name)’s camera was propped up against a mirror, she was currently in the hair and make-up booth with jayce, viktor, and mel. she held her mic against her, “so my dearest mel, how does it feel to have everyone wish they were jayce during that one scene?” (name) wiggled her eyebrows as mel began laughing uncontrollably.
“all i can say is i’d rather have the beautiful zaunite enforcer rather than the golden boy,” mel said jokingly into the mic, referring to (name)’s character in the show. making everyone in the dressing room laugh.
the scene then cuts to what seems to be (name) reading people’s tweets regarding the show to the rest of the cast.
“jayce this one’s directed to you,” (name) said in between laughs. “i hate hate hate jayce talis. imagine being in the lap of a literal goddess but all you is cry and whine about your historic twink bag fumble.”
jayce was dumbfounded as everyone doubled up in laughter. “what the fuck is that supposed to mean?!?” he shouted. poor boy looked so confused, he looked like he had stroke trying to understand what historic twink bag fumble meant.
“this last one is for vik,” (name) started as the laughter died down (jayce still consfused in the background, asking vi what ‘historic twink bag fumble’ meant). “one of the fans said, ‘can i lick-“ almost immediately (name) started laughing.
“they said ‘can i lick viktor’s hextechticles.’” almost immediately everyone started laughing again, the sounds of boisterous laughter filled the room.
viktor’s cheeks tinted pink, he gripped his stomach as he laughed. “i have no idea how to respond to that.” he wheezed into the mic.
scene four.
“good morning everyone!” (name) exclaimed, waving at the camera. “we have my fave girl with us. the one, the only, caitlyn!”
the blue haired girl grinned, “but i’m not your favorite-“ she said in a teasing tone before got she cut off.
“you are my favorite girl,” (name) huffed, a visible blush paints her cheek as caitlyn rolled her eyes playfully.
she then proceeded to do a quick set tour, showing the audience how it really looked like without any cgi and all that jazz. the scene ends with (name) and caitlyn yapping about routines or rituals that helped them get in the mood to play their characters.
scene five.
this clip was taken during the filming of season two. (name) smiled at camera, her fingers on her lips in a shushing expression then pans the camera behind her. she was in one of the dressing rooms, and in the corner was sevika, powder (dressed up as jinx), and isha, who were sound asleep.
“look at this cute little dysfunctional family,” (name) whispered. sevika had powder leaning on her shoulder as isha was sprawled on her lap.
scene six.
“don’t fret ya’ll she’s alive!” (name) shouted at the camera, holding isha out like a sacrificial lamb. the camera seemed like it was held by someone significantly taller than her, the angle looking a bit funny as she held isha up.
the child laughed, (name) then propped the kid on her hip. powder then walked in-frame, she took isha from (name)’s hold and helped the kid up on her shoulders. “SHE’S ALIVEEEE!” powder shouted before running around the set, her hands supporting the kid’s weight.
“i swear if she dropped the kid-“ a voice from behind the camera mumbled.
“they’re gonna be fine vi,” (name) laughed. “let them be.”
scene seven.
during this scene, instead of the usual (name) who filmed most (if not all) the videos, it was cait and powder who held the camera. a cheeky grin etched on their lips. the camera then flipped to show their surroundings.
lo and behold, it was vi. she was cocooned in a thick blanket snoring away without a care in the world. cait then proceeded to walk towards her. once close enough, she held the camera at an angle to show (name) who was tucked between vi’s legs, her head resting against vi’s chest with the blanket almost covering her whole body.
“aren’t they the cutest,” cait snickered.
“can’t beat the dating allegations now,” powder replied with a snort.
scene eight.
“i’m actually bawling,” (name) whispered into the camera before adjusting it to show the rest of the set. the others are currently in the middle of filming a scene for act 3, she zoomed the camera to powder and ekko. they were dancing as the song ‘ma meilleure ennemie’ played in the background.
mylo and claggor’s hushed voices joined (name)’s as she continued to film, then suddenly the camera was yanked away and mylo’s face entered the frame.
“for anyone wondering, they’re actually dating in real life.” mylo whispered, claggor then appeared next to him with an unamused expression. “that was supposed to be a secret! they’re not out in the public yet.” he scolded.
“well, you can tell by the chemistry and tension between them. doesn’t take a genius to put two and two together. have you seen the dating rumours?”
(name)’s sigh was visibly heard before snatching the camera. “if by then ekko and power hasn’t come out as a couple yet i’ll just cut this part out.” she murmured.
scene nine.
“what is everyone’s fave song from the series?” (name) said, reading aloud the question written in a piece of paper.
“that’s a tough one,” ambessa said.
“probably to ashes and blood,” sevika exclaimed, then nods of agreement and murmurs filled the room.
“mine’s a no brainer,” heimerdinger piped. “my favorite song is spin the wheel, sung by yours truly.” everyone laughed, a couple people agreed as others began playfully teasing heimerdinger.
(name) smiled at her friends before looking at the camera. “my favorite has to be our love or ma meillure ennemie.”
“enemy by imagine dragons!”
everyone then proceeded to sing the song, goofily making sound effects and lowering their voices.
scene ten.
(name) panned the camera up, she zoomed in on vi and powder as they acted one of the most heartbreaking scenes in act 3. vi’s gauntlet clutched powder’s hand as the blue haired girl dangled, vander, who was dressed in the pre-cgi warwick costume, held her, the wires supporting their weights.
tears streamed down vi’s face as she looked down at her sister, she opened her mouth to deliver her line but nothing came out.
“crap, i forgot the line. wait.” she called out, smiling sheepishly.
the director sighed, “cut! let’s roll that again.”
powder laughed and shakes her head. “you fucking idiot.”
“cut it out you two,” vander scolded, his deep voice menacing yet playful.
“yeah, yeah.” vi replied, then held a thumbs up to signal that she was ready.
(name)’s laughs can be heard from behind the camera, she then flipped it to show her face. “you guys are about to hate every single thing about this scene i just know it.” caitlyn appeared next to her, she nursed a cup of coffee and smiled at the camera.
“be sure to keep your eyes open though,” was all caitlyn said before winking and walking away.
ꕀ
pictures taken from the set began to appear in a slideshow as the video ended. almost everyone was in shambles, especially the fans who were invited to come to the premiere. a round of applause echoed across the room as the producers step onto the stage again for the closing remarks.
the event ended a couple hours later than expected. the cast mingled, had a late dinner and a couple of drinks. everyone was enjoying themselves and having fun one last time before they went their separate ways.
“sad to think how i won’t be seeing everyone everyday now,” (name) whispered sadly as she and vi sat in one corner of the room. “i sure will miss everyone.”
vi draped an arm over her girlfriend’s shoulders, she leaned down until her face was adjacent to (name)’s. “not us though.” vi smiled teasingly.
“won’t you get tired of me though?” (name) asked, her hands cupped vi’s cheeks. her girlfriend snorted, acting as if she had just told a funny joke. “not by a long shot cupcake.”
the two leaned forward, their noses touching, lips only centimetres apart. just as about their lips met, cait’s voice startled them.
“i’m gonna have to borrow my best girl for a second vi,” she teased. “you can have (name) all to yourself later but for now we need to dance.”
the next thing (name) knew she was being dragged to dance floor by caitlyn, loud music blasting as her friend swayed. she looked back at vi who shrugged at her, a smile playing on her lips. (name) smiled before blowing her girlfriend a kiss. soon enough everybody joined them on the dance floor. ekko, powder, and isha danced in a circle, sevika who was reluctantly dragged by mel, jayce and viktor who gawked at heimerdinger (who was absolutely smashing the dance floor by the way), and then there was mylo who was talking to the dj as claggor did his best in becoming wingman of the year. some stayed seated and chose to drink, like silco, vander, and ambessa, who watched the others danced.
soon enough, the night finally ended. a couple people who were sober chaperoned those who were drunk, some opted to stay in nearby hotels. after saying their goodbyes, vi and (name) drove back to their shared apartment.
“that was fun,” (name) yawned as she plopped down on the couch, vi knelt in front of her started taking off her girlfriend’s shoes.
“tired?” she asked, rubbing the soles of (name)’s sore feet making the smaller girl groan. she responded with a soft ‘yes’, before closing her eyes. the sensation of vi’s lips making it’s way up her thigh startled her, her eyes fluttered open as she looked down.
vi smiled pressing another kiss on her girlfriend’s thigh before hiking them up and resting them on her shoulders. (name)’s dress pooled at her upper thigh, exposing her soft skin. “you sure?” vi whispered.
“mmm,” (name) hummed. “maybe not too tired.” she answered, making her girlfriend chuckle.
“good,” vi murmured against (name)’s skin. “because you’re in for a long night shortcake.”

A jam-packed mission memo leaves you short on sightseeing time in gorgeous Santorini. You're heartbroken about missing out on the views, but your husband Leon is perfectly content with the one he's got. You just need a little convincing.
mdni IT IS ON SIGHT. married f / m smut where y'all are agents. anti sigma male (switchy lol) + munch leon agenda, size? kink, HEAVY praise, di leon breeding kink canon (very slight), HAIR PULLING, tiny non weird mention of kids, ft. di dilf watch
a/n: SORRY ABOUT THE TITLE JUMPSCARE it’s a lyric from cinderella by remi wolf! um. i forgot how to write LMFAO. this got so fucking nasty do you still love me. there's as much plot as there is flavor in a can of la croix. consider it my gift to all you lovelies in exam season. find the hozier lyric for a cookie :3 ilysm <3
word count: exactly 2.9k // read on ao3
You lean out over the hotel room balcony; huff under your breath, “Absolutely criminal.”
A postcard scene stretches out in front of you. Santorini is blue: cerulean skies, seagulls wheeling above your head, sapphire-capped buildings painted snow-white in the distance begging to be photographed and framed on your work desk. Bath and Body Works doesn’t hold a candle to the salt air you’re breathing in, but the catch – there’s always a catch when working with the Feds – is that you don’t have a moment to spare admiring the scenery.
The rattle of suitcase wheels over tile tells you your husband’s back from the hotel lobby. Heartbreaking, isn’t it, that you’re here on mission and not honeymoon?
“Beautiful,” a low voice murmurs behind you.
“Isn’t it?” you pout, bending over the handrail. You’d even dressed for the occasion to ease your heartache. Splurged on a teeny sundress and swapped out of your sweatpants as soon as Leon let you loose in the airport.
You hear him exhale a whoosh of air. Disappointment, you’d bet, cause that’s all you’ve been feeling since getting handed a jam-packed mission memo upon touchdown. “I know, I hate missing out on the sightseeing too,” you add, griping.
“That’s not what I'm talking about. Oh,” Leon sighs deep, dreamily, “just stand there and let me look at you, sweetheart.”
So that’s what he meant. You bite back a smile when a large pair of hands magnetically find their way to your hips. The DSO figured they accounted for diversions interfering with the mission, sending you with him as support, but you’re well aware that Agent Kennedy doesn’t get distracted by pretty views.
All except one.
“You look beautiful,” Leon whispers, dropping a kiss on the ticklish spot under your ear.
He’s doing it on purpose. You burst into a fit of giggles, willfully distracted from Leon’s hand slipping under the short hem of your dress that doesn’t stand a chance against wandering fingers. His other arm wraps under your ribs, presses your back to the solid warmth of his chest, and against your better judgment, you let yourself fall into his embrace.
It’s a recipe for no good. Your hand reaches back and finds his cheek by memory. The situation gets ten times worse when Leon smiles against your fingertips and a soft, entreating kiss gets planted onto your palm within seconds.
So as usual, you have to play bad cop. “Leon.”
“Baby.”
“We only have one hour before we have to go down to the lobby.” Uh oh. You’re melting into the lullaby sway of his arms.
“We do,” he hums, trailing lazy kisses down your neck.
“None of the equipment’s unpacked and it’ll be a bad look if we keep the Greek agents waiting. They get here at five sharp, remember?”
“Mm.”
“Leon,” you laugh. It’s like arguing with a wall.
“It’ll take me five minutes to change, five more to get the go bag ready,” he reasons, digging his chin into your shoulder. The sneaky hand under your dress finds the warmth of your inner thigh; gentle squeezes of its plush plead the other half of his case.
You’re left to do the math in your head. Bad sign. Addition turns into multivariable calculus when Leon starts plucking at the barely-there gusset of your G-string.
Snap. Snap?
Screw you, sundress-appropriate underwear.
“I’ll be generous,” he declares. “I’ll give you ten whole minutes to get ready when I’ve seen you get ready in two.”
Ten and ten, that’s twenty. Leaves an awful, admittedly delightful lot of time to yourselves in an Uncle Sam-paid suite.
“So what’re you gonna do with all that time, baby?” you tease. You clench your thighs together to trap your husband’s meddling fingers, make him say it with his chest.
Snap!
And Leon finally cracks with a groan of your name.
“You know how hard it is to watch you prance about in this-” he grumbles, yanks the hem of your sundress with his free hand, “barely a dress, knowing we won’t have a moment’s peace until we’re on the plane back home? I’ve been dying for a minute alone with my wife, and now…”
In a whirlwind of blue with a twist of his arm, you spin from facing the ocean view to a pair of baby blues bubbling with desire.
“I’ve got forty of them,” he grins.
You know that smile. You remember it from your wedding night, the same wild look in his eyes when he undid the bodice on your bridal gown and turned you around just like this. And you see it when you cup his face, just the same as then, your heart thudding pit-a-pat as if it hadn’t learned how to handle itself around Leon by now.
The two fingers he’s tracing along your slowly soaking folds, however, is new.
You know better. Don’t you?
He cajoles you as the thrumming between your legs starts to flicker hot. “Come on, doll. Miss Practicality,” Leon teases. “It’d be putting our best foot forward if we clear some jet lag before meeting the on-site team, wouldn’t it?”
You’re breathless, hips pushing up to invite the heel of his palm underneath.
“Clock’s ticking, Mrs. Kennedy.” God, it’s delicious when he says it like that. “We’re at thirty-eight now.”
Already?
“Time flies when you’re having fun. Enjoying ourselves, aren’t we?”
You look down to discover your dress magically rucked up to your waist. Leon’s damn near pressed against the balcony wall to keep himself on his feet with how unabashedly you’re grinding against his hand. Goodness.
So it’s no surprise when you eventually muster the guts to admit mutiny to the mission memo. It’ll just suck to be on paperwork duty when you get back. Does it still count as coercion if it’s not him but your cunt begging you to give in?
“Make it quick,” you gasp.
Leon’s resultant beam could outshine the sun.
His hand pulls away from between your legs with a delicate thread of arousal trailing after it; it glitters in the Aegean sunshine. He gives himself a moment’s indulgence to admire it with a Cheshire cat grin lighting up his face, but in true Leon fashion, he keeps his word. You’re hoisted into his arms and whisked back inside the hotel room, squealing with delight when you fall backwards onto the four-poster bed.
Leon locks his lips onto yours like he’s starved of air. You’re willing to believe he actually is with the fervor he shimmies the offending sundress down your hips. “Breaking my heart, angel, acting like I’ve never made you come in a tenth of the time we’ve got,” he chuckles between kisses littered down your stomach. “But I can’t even get mad at you.”
He never can. Not even when you nearly cut off his breathing, clamping your thighs around his head when he drops to his knees. It’s why he passed his hypoxic training with flying colors. What other reason would Leon have if not to suck at the ambrosia under the pearl of your clit?
And the noises he makes. Obscene in every sense of the word. “Can’t believe I get to call you mine. Taste so fucking sweet, how the hell…”
You’re sugar on his tongue, Turkish delight. You melt, feel blood flush your face when you soon hear him throw his belt aside, shiver at the shlick-shlick of Leon starting to palm himself from between your legs while the flat of his tongue laves at your cunt.
He takes his time with his favorite part, lingering below the tender nub that makes you sigh so sweetly. Bumps your clit with his nose to make you squeak, his throat rumbling with mirth that travels up your spine. It’s only at your mewl of a request that Leon gives you his left hand to hold. Whatever his baby needs.
You’re still clutching his hand when you cry out, cresting your first wave of syrupy pleasure.
“So pretty when you come,” Leon coos. “Just like that. There you go.”
He peels your sticky thighs apart to marvel at the gossamer mess you’ve made for him. He could go for ages like this, tucked between your legs. Too bad the clock doesn’t play nice and Leon’s mean, mean, lungs make him come up for air eventually. He surfaces with glossed lips and a punch-drunk smile to match your blissed-out one.
Under fluttering lashes, you watch him run his tongue over his lips. Savoring you still. So, so close to sinking his teeth into you and your hips buck for him to hurry up – a piece of information that you’re aghast escapes him.
A hungry whine bursts past your lips and Leon only glances at the watch on the nightstand, surging up to peck your cheek innocently. “We’re still good on time.”
Damn his stupid watch. You’ve caught whatever feverish haze Leon was under a while ago, hell, you think you helped him build up a resistance.
It aches. You ache. “You know what I mean, Leon, please.”
“Do I?”
Leon distracts you with a heady kiss as you gasp at a new sensation: his middle and ring fingers squeezing past the flutter of your cunt. The frigid kiss of his wedding band in your warmth jolts you awake.
He does.
He’s all bark and no bite. “So impatient. Still so tight and you’re begging me already?” Leon hisses softly.
“I want-” Thick fingers curl up inside you, choke the words in your throat. Squelch on their way out.
“Say that again?”
It happens so fast you can barely breathe.
“Fuck!” you cry out.
Leon laughs when he sinks in. “I’m sorry, sweetheart. You sounded cute.”
It’s your fault for being so easy to please after he worked you open, but you can’t help it. You’re being crass. Fuck it. The immediate stretch of Leon’s dick is fucking delicious when he slides into your pussy just right. So full when he’s slow to pull back out, so gentle when he makes it good for you after jumping through those hoops.
You’re giddy off his cock, breathless when he grabs you in by the hips. He mashes a quick kiss on your forehead like he’s too shy to look you in the eyes, all while he’s got his hand pressed over the slight swell of your lower stomach, fucking feeling himself go in and out. Even helps you fit the head of his cock back in when he gets too excited and slips out of you. The contradiction makes your head spin.
He fucks you into the bed, hanging onto every pleased hum that leaves your pretty little mouth. Groans, “Yeah, baby? That feel good?”
“Mhm!” You’re not exactly subtle about your pleasure. It’s what Leon loves about you.
“Right there?”
“Oooh my god!”
The needy pitch of your squeal sets something off in him. Abandoning your hips, he throws your legs up on his shoulders to reach that much deeper inside. Pussy tight as sin, gorgeous heat wrapping him in molten velvet – you’ve got him in a chokehold.
“Couldn’t keep my hands off you after that stunt with the dress,” Leon growls, whispers filth to hear you whimper. “So fucking perfect. Girl of my dreams. Taking me so well even though I’ve got you crying on my cock.”
Shit, you are.
He’s watchful to a fault. Leon brushes stray tears off your cheek with a rough thumb, looks for any dissent on your face while you nod as desperately as you can. “Good girl.”
Oh. You’ve got something to say about that.
When his hips start stuttering, you find your opening and lock your ankles behind his waist. It’s exhilarating watching Leon’s eyes fly open behind his damp copper bangs.
“You sure?” he rasps, poorly veiling his pleasant surprise.
It’s your turn to laugh: his speed picks up the moment you tell him yes. But you can’t let him get comfortable yet. Mid-thrust, you spin your finger in a quick air circle. Switch.
He raises a brow, but he’s quick to comply. Not without a pained grunt, though. You caught him hanging by a thread.
Top goes down; the sticky, sinful sound of Leon momentarily pulling out of you echoes in the suite as he flips onto his back. You crawl up to his lap and let him handle your hips onto his painfully hard length as a courtesy.
Leon’s always had trouble keeping his mouth shut around your cunt. “Pussy’s all swollen from me,” he breathes in awe, slack jawed. Can’t help groaning at the mess when he carefully thumbs your folds apart to pop the head of his cock back in, and you let out a honeyed moan, back where you belong. “So cute.”
Down, down, there. You take him to the hilt and Leon chokes on his spit.
Everything fades into a Gaussian blur, dreamy all over when you plant your hands on his bare thighs. You’re rocking up and down in seconds after adjusting yourself with a soft hiss.
Leon’s hands come up to cup your ass. His eyes nearly cross, mumbling, “Goddamn.”
You bite back a giggle, still on the edge of consciousness yourself.
He’s fighting to keep eyes on you, but he can’t help how his head throws back at heaven gliding up and down on his lap. Kisses descend in flocks down your breasts once Leon gets his wits about him, and then it’s back to a fervid pace. Racing towards the finish line while sweat drips down your back and your thighs burn almost as divinely as the drag of Leon along your walls.
And he’s no pillow princess. Leon’s hips jump up, urgently joining the dizzying up-down of your rhythm.
“Gorgeous, so- fuck! Could watch you fuck yourself on my cock for hours,” he grunts behind clenched teeth.
Gorgeous, yes, you. You with dewy eyes and a lurching tautness in the pit of your stomach. You’re so fucking close to plummeting.
Babbling broken syllables, your hand flies up to grab the short hairs at the back of his neck. You know Leon. Not a soul on the planet but you can ever get this close. Your frantic tugs pull strained whines from his throat; jerk his hips as if he’s bringing down heaven himself. He might as well be.
“Leon, I’m gonn-”
“If you don’t ease up, I’ll come,” he gasps. “Can’t last. Won’t.”
You’re helpless in that regard. It’s déjà vu when you anchor your knees to the mattress. Finality clicks in Leon’s brain and he grabs the back of your head, crashing onto your mouth in a kiss that’s all teeth and tongue because he knows you too. He’d felt you flutter before you did.
You shatter into his mouth.
The velvet clench of your cunt proves lethal. Leon’s tumbling right after you, swallowing your every cry, body going rigid as a flashbang of euphoria courses through him. Unbridled pleasure passes through your spasming walls and injects into his veins.
Leon’s spend starts to pour into you; you feel like you’ve swallowed the sun. It’s messy, running down your thighs in minute rivulets. Warms you from the inside out as your thighs finally falter and you crumple into his waiting arms, feeling lighter than spun sugar.
“Holy shit,” you laugh incredulously, running a hand through your sweaty hair.
Leon can only shake his head for the first few seconds, blinking in a pleasure-drunk stupor. He has the most solemn expression on his face when he tells you, “I saw the light. Swear on my life.”
“Is that right?” You wipe the perspiration off his forehead, smiling.
He nods, breaking into a grin only when you squint at him. “Okay, maybe it was just the bathroom light. Still, that was incredible. You nearly sucked the life out of me, sweetheart.”
You shrug modestly. “Maybe I just wanted payback.”
“For?”
“Teasing me all the damn time, using up my expensive shampoo,” you count off on your fingers, holding up an exaggerated middle finger for the third, most egregious offense, “and not telling me we wouldn’t have time to sightsee in Santorini!”
“I’d argue you’re the better view, doll.”
“Oh, come on! People pay hundreds to come here and I want one good photo. Just one for my work desk, promise me that.”
Your husband chuckles. “I’ll take you to Santorini ten times over after this mission’s done. We’ll make a vacation out of it. Maybe even a family one.”
You can’t help the smile that spreads on your face. “Yeah?”
“Yeah. Bet we’d make pretty babies together.”
He kisses the top of your head, soft and sweet. Nothing could burst your cocoon of bliss now.
Nothing except the incessant beeping that starts emanating from both your comm pieces plugged into the wall. Almost as if on cue. The realization shocks your back ramrod straight.
“Leon,” you murmur, “what time is it?”
He scrambles to grab his watch from the nightstand. “It’s…oh, shit.”
“The time, please?”
Your voice is reedy, scarily calm, and Leon swallows before answering, “4:50.”
“You wanna test your theory about getting ready in five minutes?”
(The two of you meet the on-site team twenty minutes late. The excuse Leon gives them, while toeing the back of your shoe, is that he got sidetracked admiring the view.)
((You’re totally making him do the paperwork when you get back.))
psst, find more of my work here!
comments and reblogs are very much appreciated <3 take care and i love you!

kinda upset by how many people are insisting that davrin's narrative is more about assan than davrin
it's really not
everything revolving around how davrin interacts with assan is also him talking to himself
which is a perspective problem that all of the companions have
they are all people who are too in their own heads to be able to resolve some of their deeper fundamental conflicts, because all of them are deeply lonely and alienated from their respective social environments, convinced in various ways that they cannot relate too others or be related too in turn, which is one of the things that makes them the perfect team to hunt down solas, who has the same problems writ large across the ages.
and in overcoming their issues and turning to rook and each other for external opinions while solas observes rook it demonstrates that other courses of action are possible and that there is value in trusting others with their loneliness and vulnerability but ANYWAY
davrin pretty clearly projects his feelings about his own upbringing onto assan, including the very
clearly present problems he has experienced as a dalish warden, if we let ourselves see them. he's not turning around to us and saying directly that he's been treated like shit by humans for most of his life in any run i've had so far. he also doesn't need too. he demonstrates it with the positions he holds.
how he advocates for not revealing the truth behind the origins of the elves, because it will make their lives harder than they already are.
how he tells assan that he needs to toughen up or he'll get chewed up by the world. that he's meant to be a hunter. that it's in his blood. it's what he's for.
how he changes his mind when he sees assan interact with the halla. how it clearly reminds him, along with his reconnection with endrin, that he was once a little boy who sang to halla. that he is more than violence, more than the hunt, more than a living weapon meant to be used once and then disposed of.
i've barely touched on his romance at all in my current run but like. please. even without it, just from my first run:
davrin is so clearly afraid of abandonment, of rejection. of letting his guard down and letting people in because it might compromise his dedication to his chosen path - *as are they all, in different ways, which is on purpose* - that he is trying to raise assan to protect him from davrin's own pain.
which doesn't work! that doesn't work.
davrin looks at assan and names him arrow. davrin looks at himself and calls himself a weapon. davrin doesn't let himself return to his clan because he anticipates their rejection. because he already didn't fit in with them to start with. davrin never gives us his last name.
the unity between warden and griffon comes when davrin stops just projecting his own pain and fears onto assan, and learns how to work with assan as he is. In doing so, it makes him realize he can be more than a weapon. That there's an option for him beyond sacrifice and vigilance. That he can find peace. it is a reconciliation of disparate aspects of his Self, which is another recurring narrative thread in the game.
Davrin doesn't have to completely disconnect from his people. He doesn't have to himself separate and away from everyone, protecting them from what he perceives as his inevitable end, or from harming them. Assan can just be Assan, and Davrin can just be Davrin, and they love each other.
he reconciles himself with his complex feelings around his clan, finds value in the lessons they taught him that he chafed against as a younger man. he reconciles himself with the complex history of the wardens, and looks for a different future with them too.
assan is bright and vibrant and alive and new and, to borrow davrin's word, "pure". He can be anything. He reminds Davrin that he can be anything, too. Assan is a catalyst, he's not the actual focus. He is the catalyst for realizations in every scene we see him in in Davrin's personal quests, which are always actually about Davrin.
#veilguard spoilers#dragon age spoilers#datv spoilers#i can say the same around emmrich and manfred by the way#veilguard baby nobody understands you like i and several friends and mutuals do

I'm gonna be so serious, y'all are remembering POWDER and Ekko and not JINX and Ekko when screaming about how much you "wanted Timebomb endgame over Caitvi"
shoving JINX in a relationship with her current mental state is not a good writing choice whatsoever, because Ekko literally had to keep rewinding time because she kept trying to kill herself. If Anything, That relationship would be rushed and fanservice because they would have jumped the gun in 2 episodes vs the 2 seasons it took for Caitvi and showing their ups and downs throughout their whole relationship.
The alternate universe works because Powder doesn't become Jinx and the two don't separate, unlike this universe where the two have been at odds for 7 years and almost kill each other back in Ep 7 of S1.
"But Cait never said sorry!" she didn't really have to, because Vi never stopped being in love with the girl that she Knows Cait is at heart, the Cocktail Molotov scene in Act 2 makes that VERY apparent. Cait saying that she was waiting for Vi to recover to address Jinx is the start of it because Act 1 Cait wouldn't have even Considered doing that, because she was so gung-ho about putting a bullet into Jinx that she Demanded Vi move out of the way for her to do so. She holds herself accountable with the mistakes she's made ("We can't erase our mistakes. None of us." that wasn't just a line targeted at Jinx to prove a point, there's deeper meaning behind it), and moving the guards out of the cell proving that she trusts Vi and her judgment on Jinx is that apology, Caitlyn has always been an "acts of service" kinda person over being a "verbal" kinda person; it's all over the place in S1 but Especially here in S2. But even after she takes Vi's shirt off, you could tell by her eyes and body language that she was most likely going to stop herself again to apologize for hitting her because the wound was in the same spot she initially hit, which was part of the lead up for This wound to even happen, but Vi's the one that just pulls her back in instead.
I'm also gonna add on that Vi thinks she made the wrong choice in trusting Jinx and thinking Jinx's changed because Jinx locked her in the cell and ran away again. So why in the Hell would Vi go chasing after her Again to be met with the same result time and time again? Vi isn't responsible for Jinx's mental health and y'all saying that are just weird. And I think it's apparent that Stillwater probably wasn't even in the top 10 things in her head being with Caitlyn, she was just running wild on emotions that she hasn't allowed herself to feel like-- Ever. And even if it Was Vi probably would have said she wasn't comfortable being in a jail cell of all places.
What was I talking about? Oh right, Timebomb.
Like Yes, it's shitty that Ekko doesn't get a happy ending considering he's the most unproblematic in the entire show. But people tend to forget that at the end of the day, Arcane is a TRADGEDY. It's not She-ra, it's not The Owl House, it wasn't going to be wrapped up in a neat little bow where everyone gets to smile and walk into the sunset with their loved ones, especially considering the fact that this season's being used as build ups to other stories, it's relatively clear that this isn't the last we're going to see of a lot of these characters. When they come back into play? well... who's to say?
But also, let's address that a lot of the Caitvi hate is just straight up homophobia at this point because a lot of people can understand Mel's admission to manipulating Jayce as an apology but Cait's actions we're suddenly braindead and need shit completely spelled out. like good lord I'm so tired of this. Y'all would NEVER have survived Catradora let me tell ya...
(My next post is gonna be a long winded rant about Maddie so stay tuned for that...)
#arcane#arcane season 2#caitlyn kiramman#vi arcane#ekko arcane#jink arcane#caitvi#timebomb#league of legends#yall are weird#and hypocritical#to say the least#arcane discussion#im rambling again#but i have a point#making timebomb canon would be fanservice not caitvi#im just saying

Rafe has been your best friend for years. You two spent your youth years with one another. Anywhere you went, he went. That was just how it was with you two. Until you both started getting older, when he was just 15 he got introduced to drugs that were less harmful and addictive like marijuana. But as time progressed, Rafe was introduced to crack which made you constantly worry about him and his lifespan.
The first time you had actually snapped and got angry with him was senior year, he had just came from the bathroom with crack residue under his nose. You felt as if he was willingly throwing his life away and trying to get in trouble, especially because he was doing the drugs in school.
"Rafe! are you seriously doing that stuff again!? We are in fucking school! How reckless and careless can you be?" You whisper yell to him as you pull him out of your class.
"Chill out... its just fun" He says with his head all the way in the clouds.
You look at him with disappointment and shake your head. You always cared for Rafe. You were probably the more responsible one.
"Dont you care about school? Graduating?" You whisper yell, getting more furious as time progressed. All Rafe did was nod off and walk away. You felt your heart break a little per step he took. He was careless, reckless. And yet you were always there to try to help and pick up the pieces. You loved him, you would do anything for him. But you knew that he wasn't what you needed at the time.
"Rafe! are you home?" You say as you put groceries on his marble counter, you've gotten used to grabbing Rafe some groceries when you go grocery shopping. Three years later, here you were waltzing into Rafes house he got a few months back, and he immediately gave you a key, the first day he moved in. You felt special, you felt important.
You hear nothing but silence, which was weird because you were pretty sure you saw his white jeep in the driveway.
You decide to look around for him wondering if he fell asleep or maybe was busy. You venture through the living room and dining room and make it to the stairs. You then hear a faint beat, and faint music playing.
"RAFE!" You yell his name attempting to get his attention, but you figure the music is to loud and walk up the stairs you start to approach his door which is shut.
You open the door and start saying "Rafe Cameron i kno-" You get cut off by the scene you just walked into.
It was Rafe mid line sniff. He looks up at you with panicked eyes and rush to his phone to cut the music off.
He sniffs and wipes his nose before looking at you. You had so many emotions, anger, sadness, disappointment. Rafe hasn't done used in a while, he's been clean, happy, normal. You didnt know what changed but you were upset and started yelling.
"Rafe! are you shitting me right now!? are you seriously using this stuff again?? I thought you were done Rafe! I thought you changed." You start yelling whilst throwing your hands in the air like a mad man. You cared for Rafe, you valued him and would do anything for him. Deep down you knew it was a little more than that.
"Jesus christ Y/n, can you please shut up with the yelling." He mutters.
"Are you serious Rafe? your fucking concerned with my yelling? you need to be concerned with your safety! you know fucking with that shit can end up bad! you've seen it first hand!" You scream at him. Rafe had turned into a complete psycho when he was heavily addicted. After his dad 'died' he spiraled, and who was there to help him? You. So you knew everything that had happened and you knew the demons the cocaine brought out of him.
"Y/n, shut the fuck up! chill out and mind your damn business. You dont know what the fuck you're talkin' about." He spits at you with aggression. You look at him with wide eyes, how dare he act as if you weren't there, and to chill out?? worst thing to say to a girl while she's mad.
"I dont know what im talking about!? Rafe i was there when Ward 'died' and you spiraled! I've always been here!" You yell at him with anger and you shove his shoulder.
"Just because you weren't able to fix your dad, doesnt mean you have to try and fix me! stay the FUCK out of it." He grits out. You gasp and your eyes widen, Rafe hit a low, a very dangerous one. Rafe had never talked to you like that, even when he was high out of his ass, still he'd never disrespect you like that.
Your dad had been addicted to cocaine and overdosed off it. You had never been the same, walking into your house and shaking your dad desperately, trying to wake him up.
"Dad! Dad look!" You wave your princess crown that you just had gotten from a musical you and your mother just had went to see with a huge smile and metal along your teeth, your mother was still grabbing her purse from the car, you wave the crown in the air. No response. "Dad..?" You see your dad turned on his stomach on the couch.
You place your crown on the end table and run over to the couch and shake you dad, eager to show your new prized possession.
One shake...
His limp body returns to it original position, showing no sign of him waking up,
A second shake
He still doesn't wake up, and his body remains there. Usually after the second shake your dad would wake up, he wasn't usually a hard sleeper.
You start to panic and shake him really hard, "Dad..?" You keep shaking him and start to scream his name.
Your mother hears the scream and runs inside the house, "Y/n, honey whats wrong?" She says with wide eyes rushing to you and your father. Your mother had an idea that he was using some kind of drug, but she never knew it was that bad.
You still remember the waves, the ocean, the smell. Everything from that day.
You also remember the day you told Rafe, you broke down at the beach after faking and walking around like everything was okay, when really it wasn't.
Rafe held you close to him and rocked you while you cried, you held onto him like he was gonna leave next. The days after that, he came and visited you and your mother, inviting you guys to events with his family, somedays staying over one night and one night sometimes turned into 3 nights. Your mom never minded.
Your eyes start to water as you just stare at Rafe, still in disbelief from what he said. You shake your head and shove him harder than before. "Fuck you Rafe! I never want to see your face again." You said with a tight jaw and tears streaming down your face. You then storm out of his room and slam the door, you practically run downstairs and out of his front door and jump into your car.
That was about a week ago, now you had been ignoring every single call and text from Rafe. Speaking of the devil he just texted you.
You just ignore his messages and continue eating lunch with your mom.
"Mama can you pass me the pepper please." You mutter to your mom.
"Sure thing, what's up with you lately? You havent looked.. happy." She says as she hands you the pepper. You just look down at your food, trying to conjure up the words but you were unable to. So you just shrug your shoulders.
"Don't lie to me Y/n, your my daughter, i know you." She reaches over the table and grabs your hand and looks at you, "Please, whats going on honey."
You feel it all come out and shatter in front of her, "Me and Rafe got into a horrible fight," You sob and wipe your eyes, "I caught him using and c-confornted him! t-then he brought up dad and... h-he said.." You sigh and look at your mom through your tear kissed eyes, then you whisper, "He said.. just because i wasn't able to fix dad doesnt mean i should try and fix him.." You say and more tears run down your cheeks.
You mom looks at you with widened eyes, astonished. She shakes her head and says softly "He wasn't in his right mind, you know he didn't mean it".
"Doesnt mean it didnt hurt mom!" You say through you sniffles while wiping your tears.
"I know you're hurt, hell i can't even believe he said that.." She says while looking at me. "But sometimes when people are hurt, or feel hurt, they say anything to hurt someone else. Doesn't make it right, but maybe he's going through things to. Take that into consideration and think for some time, Rafe has been your friend for years, im sure he would never mean such a thing."
You nod at your mom and say "All i wanted to do was help him, help someone i care about you know? and it blows up in my face.. I-.. I love him a lot mom.. i just dont know what to do.. ive just been ignoring him, but i never found out what was the cause of him using."
Your mom nods at your words and smiles, "I always knew you two had a thing for each other."
"I doubt he feels the same way, he looks at me as a sister, but thats besides the point. I just need time from him.." You say with your gaze facing the ground.
Your mom nods and gets up and walks next to you then gives you a hug, "Dont let him go completely, at least try, try to be there, try to help, youve been doing it so continue doing it. Dont make the same mistake i made with your dad.." She breaths and you see a tear drop down her cheek, "Dont try and ignore it, make sure he gets the help he needs before it to late, one day you see him and the next.. he's cold and lifeless." She whispers.
You feel your heartbreak even more. You knew your mom felt guilty about your dad's death, she felt that she could've done more and that if she did, he would be alive still. It's all too much..
You help your mom clean the dishes and bid your goodbyes and thank her.
You walk to your jeep and sit there for a moment, Rafe, your dad, everything was just a lot, you wanted it all to go away. You wanted peace, you wanted everything to be good again, in a span of a week shit went downhill and fast. You wish you could go over to Rafes and just cuddle with him and watch movies, that's what you always did when you were stressed. But your mad at him so you start your car and drive to your house.
──𝗥𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝘃.
7 days, thats how long its been since ive heard her pretty voice. I have no idea what i did. I remember bits and pieces, me.. using.. she caught me and there was a lot of yelling but thats all i remember.
I've been texting and calling her nonstop, voicemail. Thats all i've gotten. I miss her, so so much. I just want to fix this, whatever this is between us.
I sit at the wreck and Topper comes and pulls up a chair. "What up man? You seem down.. everything good?" He says.
"Fine man." I mutter to him as i take a bite of my fry.
He nods "Its Y/n, isn't it." He says.
I freeze at her name and look at him, he then says "You always wear that look when your upset about something pertaining to her." He smiles, "You two are somethin'" He then proceeds to call a waiter over and order his food.
I give him a tight lipped smile, do i really wear a certain look when i get upset about somethin' with her?
Topper finishes ordering his food then says, "So you gonna tell me whats going on?"
I contemplate on telling him, sometimes he's a blabber mouth especially when he's drunk. But i need someone to talk to, i need guidance and i guess i gotta get it from him..
"Well she's been ignoring me for about a week now, i just.. i dont know what i did.." I say while running my hands over my nearly bald head.
"Well when's the last time you two saw each other?" He says.
"Well uh.. she came to my house, brought me groceries..she then uh saw me using.. and you know how she feels about me using it but i-.. i was having a really hard day. We had a yelling match but i don't exactly remember the words, it all kind of blurred, i was high out of my mind. Next thing i know.. shes ignoring my calls and messages." I say releasing a big breath, that was a whole lot to explain.
Topper raises an eyebrow and nods "Have you ever thought that maybe.. you said something..?" He looks at me. "No offense but your anger reaches a new high when you're on that stuff"
I soak in his words for a minute. Maybe i did say something, and that something had to be absolutely horrible for her to ignore me like this and for this long.
Did i talk about her insecurities..? probably not. Shes perfect so i dont look at them as something she should insecure about.
There one sensitive topic that couldve made her this upset..
Her dad..
I'm really hoping i didn't say anything about him, knowing everything her and her mom went through. I was there for her, then i throw it in her face? i would be a fucking horrible person.. I really fucking hope i didn't do that.
That cocaine shit is really messing me up, now its messing up my relationships. Relationship. Y/n is so important to me, the girl of my dreams really. But i'm too fucked up for her, she doesn't need me.
"I think i fucked up really badly Top..really badly." I say in shame with my head down. How could i be shitty to her? after everything she's stuck by me through..
"Its okay man, as long as you own up to it and talk to her, things could end up fine." Topper says while patting my shoulder.
"Go talk to her Rafe, get clarity, own up to it and be honest. Its about time you two be honest with each other." Look at Topper finally being helpful, actually providing guidance.
"Thank you Top, you've helped a lot."
I get an idea and quickly excuse myself and hop in my car.
──𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗼𝘃.
You arrived at home a couple minutes ago and was sitting in your couch with a tub of ice cream and your cat on your lap. You were watching 10 things i hate about you and you were at the part where Kat and Patrick were at the party and you hear you doorbell.
You press the pause button on your remote and groan. Who could be at your door right now? you told your friends not to come over and you already had seen your mom earlier.
You open the door and reveal Rafe standing there with his head down.
You roll your eyes, not wanting to deal with anything pertaining to Rafe right now.
"Why are you here Rafe?" You ask with anger laced in your words. How dare he show up at your doorstep? he couldnt have waited until you were ready??
"Can i come in please?" He asks desperately. You feel sort of sad seeing him so.. desperate. But then you remember his harsh words and that sadness fades away. You step over as a way of telling him to come in.
"Why are you here?" You repeat with less anger than before. He walks to your island and sits on one of your stools, you do the same. And you know now is the time to face it, face all the pain. Finally get it all out.
"I-.. We need to talk." He says, you open your mouth to speak but he beats you to it and says, "Could you please listen to me for a moment..?" You nod and let him continue.
"I-.. I know im not the best person, hell i still dont know why you stick it out with me. But you are always there for me, you are my person, the person i go to about any and everything, i value our friendship so much its.. its more than a friendship. But i treated you shitty the other day, i just know it. I dont know exactly what i said but i know it hurt you really bad. I hurt you.. something i never ever wanted to do. After seeing how you were after your dad died, i vowed from that day on to put nothing but a smile on your face and to always look out for you. Im-..Im so sorry Y/n, i know i dont deserve your forgiveness but you mean everything to me and i'll do everything in my power to make it up to you." He finishes with tears in his eyes while also heaving after saying so much.
You didnt know what to feel, you felt all over the place, you wanted to cry, scream, kick him out, hug him all at the same time.
"Rafe.. I.. you hurt me.. you brung up something that still haunts me to this day.." You say while tears start to form in your eyes. He begins to open his mouth to speak, but now it was your turn to cut him off.
"But.. i cannot hold a grudge against you.. you're important to me to, all i want is for you to get the proper help Rafe, you really need it whether you like it or not. If there's anything you can do.. do that. I don't want to see you end up the same way my dad did.. " You stand up and walk close to him and settle between his legs and in front of his chair, "I dont want anything to happen to you.." You lay your head on his shoulder and wrap your arms around him, you both share tears.
"I promise you, ill go to rehab, get the proper help i need. Stop hangin' around people who dont want the best from me." He says while looking down at you, deep in your teary eyes.
"I hope so Rafe.. I hope so. Just please, dont hurt me again ill be a wreck like i have these past few weeks." You say while chuckling at the end, you felt relief, you and Rafe were back on good terms. You've missed him so much wanting to cuddle him, until you remembered why you were mad at him..
"I won't hurt you.. never again." He says while putting his forehead on yours, you both close your eyes with smiles settled on your faces. Peace is what you felt. Happiness, is what you also felt.
"Ive missed you so much" He whispers and you open your eyes and look up at him and whisper, "Oh yea? ive missed you to."
He smirks and shakes his head, "I was going crazy over you girl, i even went to Topper for advice which is.. really rare.."
You giggle and throw your head back, and smirk "You were so desperate you went to Topper..? would you look at that"
He smiles and pulled you closer, "You wanna know somethin' he told me?"
Your breath hitches at how close the both of you are, you've been close like this before but.. something different was in the air.. desire, desperation. You then whisper "And what was that..?"
He then says "He said that it was about time that we were honest with each other." You look at him confused, you were always honest with him.. was he not always honest with you?
"Are we not always honest with each other..?" You say tilting you head, a little nervous at the answer you might get.
"Maybe.. but i know i haven't.. these feelings i have.. its so much. I honestly feel like i fell for you, like im..in love with you." He says slowly, a little nervous.
You feel butterflies and your nervousness disappears and is replaced with a warm feeling, you then say "Im in love with you to.. always have been Rafe. Its always been you."
He smiles and you both look each other deep in the eye, then you decide to close the space between you two and kiss him, you both kissed each other passionately with a bit of hunger behind it. You smiled into the kiss and felt him smirk. You just couldn't believe what the hell was happening. Just about an hour or two ago you were crying over him to your mom, and now he's in your kitchen kissing you.
You pull away first for air and stare at him with a big smile on you lips, he looks at you with a smile also.
He kisses you again more hungrily and a kiss turns into a full makeout session which was well needed after all the time you two had hid your feelings for one another.
He picks you up and gets out the chair and walks you two over to the couch, not breaking the kiss. He sits and you settle on his lap and pulls away for air.
You put your forehead against his and say "I love you Rafe." You smile hard, happy you're able to finally say it.
"I love you too Y/n." He kisses you again, and then he says, "You know your mine right?"
You giggle and nod and cuddle into him and press play on your movie and finish your tub of ice cream with him.
The next morning you both get up and look for rehab facilities together.
This was just the start of a future.

BESTFRIENDS GIRLFRIEND.
a ‘mini’ continuation of this fic here!
summary: the night at the beach seemed to be long forgotten. or that’s what you thought until a stupid treasure hunt leads you and jj sharing a place in a locked incubation device and he helps you remember where it all started.
a/n: just recently finished season four & that scene w kiara and jj gave me the perfect idea. i know it doesn’t really ‘match’ the timeline of the last one but we can all pretend that it does <3
warnings: voyeurism , , mean!jj , reader that plays naive , fingering , use of afab anatomy , mentions of cheating , heavy petting.
You should’ve known you were setting yourself up for failure. The minute you saw the slight smirk on JJ’s face the minute you offered to take Kiara’s place— you should’ve known something was going to happen.
Though , almost getting killed and getting your life saved by JJ Maybank was definitely not on your BINGO card.
Things between you and JJ hadn’t settled since that day night. If anything , it only made everything worse.
You were grateful another adventure opened up for the time being because pulling away from John B made you feel sick. You were eaten up by guilt , fear that your dirty little secret would blow up in your face and you’d have to own up to what you’ve done.
You could only imagine the devastation it’d cause John B and the disappointed looks from Kiara and Pope. The idea alone made your stomach sick.
JJ made it impossible to forget. He never brought it up. Not once. But that look in his eyes every time he looked at you made that same familiar feeling from that night on the beach wash up all over again— and you just knew.
You laid there in absolute dread in silence. Your eyes had opened before JJ’s and the immediate feeling of pure terror overcame you. Your memories washed back up and as the bends slowly faded away , the reality of the situation sunk in.
Practically quarantined with JJ , in this closed space , for twelve hours seemed like the test of a lifetime.
As he began to stir away , you swallowed harshly and scooted away. You clutched your necklace , anxiously fiddling with the string as you desperately search for nearby nurses.
“My savior.”
His voice was raspy. A hint of edge around the words as he cleared his throat roughly.
Silence filled the air pretty quickly and JJ’s mouth made a sound. He played it casual , coy like he always did. Cocking his head towards the side , he stared at you. “Ignoring me?”
Again , you decided to stay silent. Your cheek was raw with how hard you were biting it.
JJ sighed. “You know , I’ve been waiting to get you alone since that night on the beach.” He murmured. “A bit offended you actin’ like nothing happened.”
He was baiting you and you knew it. You refused to give and kept staring out the circular window.
“C’mon , Y/N. . .” JJ drug out your name barely above a whisper. You could feel him inching closer making you start to feel hot , your ears burning at the tips. “Have you fucked him yet? After me?”
His question made you flinch.
“Stop playing little miss innocent —” JJ narrowed his eyes , bringing up his index finger to your chin. Everything in you was screaming at you to not make the same mistake twice , to stand your ground , to fight him. . . but you were like putty in his hands. The minute you felt his skin on yours , you felt a fire where he touched and your head tilted ever-so-slightly to the side. “I know you think about it. About me.”
JJ looked into your eyes and paused , before a wide smirk developed on his face. “You haven’t , have you?” You didn’t need to say it , it was written all over your face. You were never good at keeping secrets. You were always so easy to read.
Especially by him.
He knew you like the back of his hand. All that pining had finally paid off— in his mind.
“How come?”
“JJ stop it.” You mumbled , moving to push his hand away. But he didn’t care. Instead he turned on his side to look at you , feeling like the first time all over again.
God , he hadn’t stopped thinking about it. About you.
John B was his bestfriend , his brother , but you— he couldn’t help but be addicted to you. He couldn’t change it and he didn’t want to. He’d risk loosing it all , everything , just to have you.
“You liked it—” he taunted. “You liked it so much , that I ruined your sweet little pussy for anyone else. It only remembers me. It only wants me.”
You shivered and shook your head. “No. I—I love John B. You’re acting crazy.”
“Crazy?” JJ let out a dry laugh. “You should know just how crazy I can be , baby.”
“He’s your bestfriend , JJ.” You sighed and shook your head , pushing his hand that was starting to drift downwards away. “You know this is wrong.”
“I don’t care if it is.” JJ scoffed. “I meant what I said that night. You were supposed to be for me.”
His words made you shiver. The memories crashed onto you like waves , so vividly that you could almost feel exactly how you felt sprawled out on the sand with your legs wide open just for him.
JJ noticed your reaction and smirked. It only pushed him further. “You know it , don’t you?”
You pursed your lips. Pushing your chin up defiantly as you scooted closer to the window , putting as much space between the two of you as possible.
JJ rolled his eyes. “C’mon. You might be able to lie to yourself and lie to John B— but you can’t lie to me, baby.” He murmured softly , delicately. There was a teasing tone to his voice that irritated you because you knew he was right and you hated yourself for it.
“You’re acting crazy , JJ.” You whispered. You squeezed your eyes shut and prayed that this was all a dream— a nightmare. Though the warmth of JJ’s breath and how your heart beat so loudly you thought it’d beat out of your chest , you knew it was real. Too real.
“Maybe I’m just crazy about you.”
Suddenly everything began to feel hot. The all knowing fact that you were trapped in this stupid metal bubble , next to him , it all started feeling too much. Beads of sweat dripped down your forehead , and your hand twitched. Your chest began to rise and fall quickly and you weren’t sure what you were more bothered by.
The claustrophobic , suffocating feeling: or the thump between your thighs that you wouldn’t be able to blame on alcohol.
Light as a feather , his fingertips tapped across the smooth skin of your thigh. He watched you in satisfaction. Loving the way you responded to him despite you trying to fight it. “It’s just you and me in here , baby—” he cooed in your ear. Leaning forward to press a soft kiss to the side of your neck , making your breathing hitch. “Nobody’s gonna know.”
“I–I’ll know.” You answered softly , still refusing to look at him. You hated the way it began to hurt. How it started to burn with a certain need that only JJ could subside. Everything in your body was screaming for him. To feel him again. But your head was fighting it.
“That never stopped you before.” He quipped back.
You turned your head to look at him again. Looking into his eyes that had a certain darkness swimming inside of them. You hated it. You hated him. Most of all , you hated yourself for how badly you wanted him.
Without another thought , becoming slightly delirious and deciding to cave and give in , you rushed forward and pressed your mouth against his. On instinct , he was there. Kissing you back feverishly , gripping onto you like a man starved. He tasted of saltwater and weed , the familiar taste bringing out a soft moan from your throat.
The sound made him smirk. He liked knowing you had given in. That he got what he wanted.
And he was going to make the most of it.
His hand slipped between the two of you , immediately cupping your sex. You gasped , breaking the kiss for air. He hummed in response , rubbing soft and achingly slow circles. “Beg for it.”
“W–What?” You breathed , taken off guard.
“You heard me.” JJ said again , halting his movements. JJ gripped your chin , looking down at you. “Beg me for it.”
“JJ—”
“Beg.”
He wanted to know he had the control. The power. You knew it. As much as you wanted to deny him of it , to refuse it , you couldn’t. It ached agonizingly , just looking at him ignited something within you. Your whole body was on fire and now that it started , there was no way you would have enough willpower to put it out.
“Please. . .” you whimpered , arching your back to feel some type of friction again. JJ wanted to groan right then and there, give in to you. But he refused. He ignored the way his cock was hard and angry , rubbing against the fabric of his underwear harshly. Frowning , you grabbed onto him , fisting his shirt to bring him closer. “Please touch me , JJ. Please. I need it. I need you.”
Your words were like a song to him. He let out a groan deep within his chest and kissed you again , harder , letting his tongue slip past your lips as you gasped when his hand pushed the fabric of your tiny shorts to the side.
His index finger ran up your slit , basking in the slickness. JJ smirked down at you , cocking his head to the side. “Your pussy loves me.” He boasted , and you weren’t in a position to disagree.
“Still my dirty girl , huh?” JJ moaned , sliding his finger inside of you. He grunted as he felt your walls stretch out , the tightness of it amusing him. “I knew I ruined you for him— can’t fuck him now , huh? Too busy thinkin’ bout me?”
You only responded with a moan , throwing your head back as you felt yourself fill up.
JJ watched you with a glimmer in his eyes. He swore had had never seen something hotter. The way your eyebrows scrunched up , your lips pursed , he could your feels contracting around his finger and he couldn’t help but moan at the feeling. “You want more , baby?”
“Yes , JJ , yes. Please. . .”
“Tell me your mine.” He demanded but his voice was softer now. Almost pleading.
Your mind was hazy. You almost couldn’t understand what you were saying— but you knew in this moment it was true. “I’m yours , JJ. I’m yours.”
“Fuck.” He muttered. Dropping his head to kiss your neck , he added in another finger , rutting against the side of your thigh. He pumped his fingers in and out of you , curling upwards just enough to graze over the spot you needed most.
“Yes—” you breathed. Your head lulled to the side and your toes curled. It felt good. The coolness of his metal rings that slapped against your clit each time he pumped his fingers in and out sent jolts up your spine. It felt frivolous , like you were a school girl getting fingered by her first person. But JJ knew just what to do. He knew what you liked , how to make it feel good.
“You’re mine. You’ve always been mine.” JJ said , kissing your mouth. You moaned into it , shaking underneath him as the feeling of his mouth on yours amplified the pleasure you were feeling.
The familiar feelimg began building up in your tummy and you gasped , pulling away as you used him to steady yourself. He sped up , just a little , keeping the same place as before. He cooed in your ear , kissing and sucking on different places. “Cum for me. Cum for me , give it to me.”
With your head thrown back , you felt your legs shaking. A dirty , loud moan left your mouth , one that made JJ’s ears ring. You grinded against him , riding out your high.
“My fucking girl—”
You came down breathlessly , with a new urge. You quickly attached yourself to him , wrapping your arms around his neck and bringing him closer to you. He kissed you back hungrily , grinding into you.
You jumped when you heard a knock on the glass.
“Sorry to um— interrupt.” The nurse cleared her throat awkwardly , looking away. “We need to check your vitals. . .”
And just like that , the weight of the world and your decisions fell back on your shoulders.

A Fresh Start (Jinx x Gn!reader)
Warnings: mentions of death, use of (Y/N) once
Genre: angst, hurt/comfort
Fandom: Arcane
Summary: see request
Word Count: 1.6k
No set pronouns for reader
•••
You still remembered every detail, every word said, replaying the moment in your head. You'd had a fight with Jinx, nothing serious you'd thought, but when she and Ekko found you, you could see the pain in her eyes. She came running to you, wrapping her arms around your neck.
“I'm sorry, I didn't mean all those things I said,” she apologized, her voice breaking. “You've always been there for me, and I've been ungrateful about that.”
You hugged her tightly, with your arms surrounding her waist, hiding your face in her shoulder.
“It's okay, it doesn't matter now,” you mumbled. “Are you okay?” You asked, breaking apart and caressing her face.
She simply nodded, but you could read her like an open book, and you knew that there was something she wasn't telling you.
Before you could keep questioning her, Ekko decided to speak.
“I hate to interrupt the sweet moment and everything, but we have to hurry if we wanna survive,” he said. You gave him a confused look, slowly breaking your embrace with Jinx.
“Yeah, the world is basically about to end,” the girl said. And both she and the boy tried their best to give you all the information you needed, trying to come up with a plan.
When you were almost finished with the globe, Jinx pulled you apart for a moment, wanting to talk to you.
“I really am sorry about before," she started saying, “I just couldn't think straight at the moment and I took it out on you.”
“Hey, I said it was okay and I meant it,” you comforted her, grabbing her hand.
“I just don't want us to be on bad terms, we don't know what could happen out there,” she whispered, trying to hold back her tears.
“We're not on bad terms, okay? Don't worry about that, my love,” you answered, not wanting to think about the worst case scenario.
“Thank you for not giving up on me, (Y/N), I'm so lucky to have met you. You mean the world to me, and I love you so much.” Tears were already falling down her cheeks, making it hard to contain yours too.
“I love you, too, baby.” You pressed your foreheads together, closing your eyes to better savour the moment. “Don't worry, we're gonna be okay,” you tried to reassure her. “I'm not saying today will be easy, but we'll make it, and soon this will all be just a dark moment from the past.”
She wrapped her arms around your neck once again, not being able to control her sobs anymore. You were taken aback from the sudden action and her reaction. Her embrace was tight and almost filled with dread, almost as if she was certain something bad would happen. You decided to get those thoughts out of your head. Danger was knocking at the door, and you couldn't ignore it anymore; the moment to fight had come.
When you got to the fight scene, Vi quickly joined you, and so did Vander. Ekko took control of the globe, making it crash into the building, knocking the air out of your lungs. When you finally got back on your feet, you quickly went to help Vi and Jinx against Vander, but a hard blow at you was the last thing you remembered before losing consciousness.
You had no idea how long you were out of it. Ekko's figure was the first thing you saw when you woke up, and he helped you sit down slowly.
“Hey, easy there,” he said. “You got hit pretty badly.”
“I'm fine,” you groaned. “Where’s Jinx?” He ignored your eyes, tilting his head. “Ekko?”
He only had to look at you, and you could instantly feel the world crumble around you. Tears quickly flooded your eyes, still looking at the boy in front of you.
“Tell me it's not what I'm thinking,” you pleaded.
“She sacrificed herself to save Vi.”
You closed your eyes, letting the tears roll down your cheeks. You wanted it to be some sick joke, for her to get into the room and tell you that it wasn't true, that she was fine and you didn't have to worry about anything. But you knew her, and you knew something felt off about her in that last conversation you had. Turns out something bad did end up happening.
•••
Not many days had passed, the pain still fresh. You were lost in your thoughts, staring at the city in front of you. You were in the spot Ekko had shown you not long ago, trying to find a bit of peace in contrast to the mess in your head.
Life in Zaun was very unpredictable, which made it difficult to make long-term plans, but also made it easy to not get attached to anything nor anyone. But Jinx was the exception. You just couldn’t stop yourself from getting attached to her, and now you were suffering the consequences.
To be honest you wouldn’t really change anything, not even the pain you were feeling right now. Changing things would mean not even getting to know her, and you were grateful to have met her, to share your life with her. You were simply paying life’s price for love.
You suddenly felt a presence behind you, but you kept your gaze to the front.
“I'd really like to be alone, Ekko,” you said, assuming that the boy had come to check on you.
“I'm not Ekko.”
You froze in place. You had to be hallucinating, it had to be the only explanation. She was gone, and nothing would change that. You shook your head in disbelief, looking up at the sky.
“I'm even hearing her voice now,” you said. You could feel that presence even closer now, and you quickly grew frustrated with what you thought was your own mind. “Leave me alone!” You screamed, turning to the presence behind you and freezing once again when you finally saw her.
“Hey, it's me,” she whispered.
You quickly got up, never breaking eye contact.
“But- You- How?” It was all you could say, barely whispering, still not truly believing what you were seeing. She was right there.
“I guess being injected with crazy amounts of shimmer to keep me from dying had its perks,” she explained almost jokingly, trying to lighten up the mood. “I managed to escape the explosion.”
“But I don't understand. Why didn't you come back right away? Why let us believe you were dead?” You had a million questions in your head, and you could feel your heart beating like crazy.
“I needed everyone to believe it, to have a fresh start. Vi would never give up on me if she knew I was still alive; she'd follow me to the end of the world.”
You still kept your distance from her, it all seemed unreal. A few minutes ago you were grieving her, and now she was right in front of you, as beautiful as ever. But you felt anger inside you as well. She could've told you, she could've saved you from that horrible pain of thinking she was actually gone for good.
“You knew you were gonna fake it all along, didn't you?” You realized, thinking about that last conversation you two had. “That's why you were so emotional, so shaken and distressed.”
“Baby, I-.”
“You knew, right?” You interrupted her, voice cracking with your words.
“I did.”
You closed your eyes. You didn't really know when you'd started crying, but the tears kept falling down your face.
“You let me believe you were dead, Jinx! Dead!” You didn't even try to hide how emotionally distressed you were. You needed to let everything out. The blue-haired girl broke the distance between you two, holding you in her arms while you sobbed into her chest, quickly collapsing to the ground.
“I'm so sorry, baby. I made a mistake and I should've told you,” she said while running her hand through your hair. You could tell by her voice that she was also crying, filled with guilt. “I'm sorry, please forgive me.”
“I get why you did it,” you told her after a while. “I don't blame you for wanting peace, but you have no idea how much it hurt me to think that I'd lost you.”
She cupped your face and made eye contact with you before pressing your foreheads together. “I'm sorry,” she repeated, feeling like she could never say it enough times to express just how much she regretted not letting you know before.
“I'm just glad you're actually okay, love.” You leaned in to her touch, savouring the moment after such turmoil.
She gave you a kiss on your forehead before speaking.
“I want you to come with me,” she uttered.
“Come where?” You questioned.
“I don't know, away from here,” she replied. “I really want that fresh start, but I know that trying to live without you would be absolute hell. I've had many uncertainties in my life, but you just feel right. If there's something I'm sure of is that I love you, with every part of me.”
“I love you, too,” you told her. “And I'd also follow you to the end of the world.” You let out a hopeful smile, and so did she before cupping your face to kiss you.
Her lips against yours felt absolutely right, like it was just the way it had to be, forever and ever. You belonged together, and there was nothing you wanted more than to build a future with her, away from all the ghosts from the past. You knew it wouldn't be easy, both of you had a lot to let go of but with her by your side everything felt a bit easier, and for the first time in a long time, you felt hopeful.

Can't sleep, and this post from @v88sy inspired me.
****
Tommy had never been a deep sleeper, and his line of work made it even worse. He was more than used to the klaxon pulling him from sleep, signaling that they had a call. But that didn't prepare him for the pounding on his front door.
BOOM BOOM BOOM
Tommy looked at his phone. 12:46.
Silence. Then more pounding.
"Wake up Tommy, piece of—"
Tommy pulled open the door. "Hey Buck."
"Don't you 'hey Buck' me," came the angry response. " I'm not Buck to you. 'm Ev-n."
Oh. He was drunk.
"Okay, you're right. Hi Evan."
"You ruin-d it, T'mmy." Buck slurred, swaying slightly. "You blew us up and It's not fair."
"I'm so sorry, Evan."
"I went on some dates."
"Oh yeah?"
"Hated 'em."
"You did?"
"They all sucked," Buck mumbled.
Tommy raised his eyebrows.
"Not like that," Buck slurred, waving his hand dismissively. "They were stupid and boring."
"Really? All of them?"
"They weren't you."
"You don't want me, Evan," Tommy said quietly, his voice heavy with resignation.
"Why do you get to decide that?" Buck's voice rose with frustration. "I'm a grown man. Why do you get to tell me what I need and what I feel?"
"Evan, I'm not—" Tommy tried to interject.
"Why don't you want me?" Buck's voice cracked as he started to cry.
"Evan, that's not—" Tommy reached out instinctively but stopped himself.
"I went on a date tonight," Buck announced, his words still slurred but clearer now.
"I kinda figured," Tommy replied softly.
"He was handsome and charming." Tommy flinched at Buck's words. Buck's voice dropped to almost a whisper, "And it was awful. All I did was talk about you the whole time."
"Evan—" Tommy began gently, but Buck cut him off.
"He got frustrated. Said I was wasting his time," Buck's voice was hollow. He paused, swaying slightly. "And I was. There's no one after you, Tommy. So if you won't have me that's fine, but you're still my last. I'm giving up on love."
"You don't mean that," Tommy protested.
"Don't tell me what I mean," Buck's voice rose sharply before breaking into louder sobs. "I love you, and you ruined me for everyone else. You showed me what the world could be, and then you ripped it away." His next words came out in a rush, raw with emotion. "I am so mad at you, Tommy. But I still want you. I wanna be your boyfriend."
"You do?" Tommy's voice was barely above a whisper.
"Have you even been listening, dumbass? I'm yours. I will always be yours whether you want me or not."
"We need to talk," Tommy said carefully.
"Yeah, no shit," Buck retorted, but there was less bite to his words now.
"How about we get you inside and sober you up, and then we'll talk. Really talk."
"You mean it?" Buck asked, vulnerability creeping back into his voice.
"I do."
"Wait," Tommy reached out and wiped a stray tear off Buck's cheek. "You didn't drive here, did you?"
"Of course not. I'm clearly drunk off my ass."
"Fair enough."
"I walked. It was like 3 miles. Helped me get good and mad."
"You walked?" Tommy's voice rose with concern.
"I had to get to you and my fingers couldn't figure out how to order an Uber."
"Oh sweetheart," Tommy said softly.
"You called me sweetheart!" Buck's voice brightened despite his tears.
"Yeah, I guess I did."
"You loooove me," Buck sang out, swaying slightly.
"Evan, let's go inside," Tommy said, fighting back a smile.
"Whatever you say, boyfriend," Buck replied with drunk confidence.
Tommy shook his head fondly as he guided Buck inside. They were still broken, and it was going to take a lot of work to repair them, but Tommy knew now that they were both willing to fight for it.

Day twenty-eight of “obligatory sugar baby Kon” ( and the start of a new scene! ) behind the cut. prev: (( chrono || non-chrono ))
“How’s school?” Tim asks, since how’s your mom and are you still living AT school due to her being who she is as a person? is both a loaded question and too obvious an approach. Cissie raises an eyebrow at him anyway. Tim is reminded that Dick did not in any way make an illogical leap by assuming that she was the kind of person he’d be attracted to, but also is not quite there.
No, he’s apparently just into their other resident child-star/teen-idol superhero (and HOW do they have TWO of those and WHY did he not think about how actually insane that concept actually is sooner?), or maybe he’s just into loud braggy attention-hog assholes who look unbearably good in leather pants and unbearably cute when they blush and can also put away a straight-up inadvisable amount of grilled cheese sandwiches and can’t do an ollie to save his life.
“It’s fine, Dad, did my homework and everything,” Cissie replies dryly, still eyeing him with a faint note of suspicion in her expression. They’re both sitting at the kitchen table, which in retrospect was definitely the wrong place to do this; obviously she’s going to get suspicious if he not only sits down at the table with her but makes small talk without a plausible-deniability excuse to hand. “How’s your school?”
“. . . did my homework and everything,” Tim lies, and Cissie snorts.
Bart zips past them in a rush of wind and zips back the way he came a moment later; Cissie just covers the top of her Soder can to make sure nothing he’s kicked up ends up in it. Tim isn’t drinking anything, so just has to worry about not ending up with his cape flipped over his head again.
He might’ve started wearing weighted capes to the Justice Cave lately. Just because. Definitely not for any reasons related to preserving his image as team leader in order to keep being seen as the thinly-allowed authority figure that said leader needs to be in emergencies and crisis situations or anything like that.
Look, just because that level of subtle social manipulation of his teammates and sort-of-friends is questionable at best doesn’t mean it’s not occasionally necessary. Especially in relation to preparing for life-or-death situations where those teammates all need to know that they can trust their leader and he needs to know none of them are going to decide to take things into their own hands and run off on their own, which is definitely a concern in a group with this many vigilantes who’ve done more solo work than partnered or teamed-up and just about all have very strong personalities, even if some of them are quieter about it.
. . . he’s doing his best so far as limiting the “running off on their own” issue, alright?
The team’s meeting up for the weekend, and they’re all just supposed to be hanging out for it–or at least that’s the plan, anyway. Admittedly something might blow up or a natural disaster might happen or a supervillain might attack Happy Harbor and then “hanging out” will once again turn into “badly-controlled highly-public chaos” he needs to avoid cameras during and they also might have to worry about more nuns or Hugga-Tugga-Thugees or another Nina Dowd incident happening to them, and then have to worry about explaining all those things to Red Tornado later, but Tim’s pretty sure that’s just gonna be team SOP at this point.
Bart zips by again and leaves a trail of streamers and glitter and mahjong tiles scattered all over the kitchen and down the hall, and somewhere a set of speakers goes off with a burst of loud static and blaring heavy metal music and then immediately cuts out again. Tim decides to just not ask this time. The answer isn’t gonna make any sense to anyone outside of Bart’s head anyway, except maybe Suzie, and that’s frankly being optimistic.
Definitely the badly-controlled chaos is team SOP though, yeah. Very, very much is it team SOP.

is it possible to get mattheo and theo for your celebration event? if so would it be possible for the smut prompts 5-8 from 150 please? i hope you have a great day regardless 🩷
˚୨୧⋆。 prompt/s; 5) "on your knees" 6) "enjoying the view?" 7) "that was the prettiest sound i've ever heard" 8) "i didn't think you were into that" — from 150 prompts
˚୨୧⋆。 warnings; three some, theo is kinda a cuck for a little, mean dom!mattheo and soft dom!theo, p in v (theo), pullout method used, oral (mattheo receiving), possible ooc mattheo and theo, that’s it i think?
˚୨୧⋆。 a/n; not my fave piece i’ve ever wrote
— celebrate 600 with me?
you were best friends with both Mattheo and Theo, the three of you always together and as some people might say— always causing something together.
that’s just how it had always been between the three of you since you met, and then became friends.
so you’re not exactly sure when both boys started to pursue you, but they started to clash over it. with the way you reciprocated each of their feelings, it caused a slight rift in your friendship with them.
the rift was tearing you all apart, which you wanted to fix as soon as you could.
you’d invited both of them to your dorm, and kicked out your roommates for the night. you’d even lit a couple of candles, which Mattheo inevitably laughed at.
the knock on your door signified that Theo arrived first, he always knocked before pushing open your door. Mattheo on the other hand always just barged in, despite your many attempts to get him to knock.
Mattheo lay sprawled across your bed, his arms crossed behind his head while he watched you.
“what’s up?”
again. you’re not entirely sure where his “what’s up?” transpired into the three of you naked in your dorm together— but you weren’t entirely complaining.
with your past flings with both of them, you could really point out the differences between them. Theo was softer and more caring with you, while Mattheo was rough and more focused on getting you to cum over and over again. which again, you didn’t mind. you liked the difference between them, and the way they were both working together to take care of you tonight.
being pulled from your thoughts by Mattheo’s voice, against your ear.
“on your knees”
glancing to Theo who nodded, before Mattheo helped you down onto your knees. Mattheo was sat on your bed while Theo watched the whole scene unfold, he watched as Mattheo held your mouth open as he brought the head of his cock to your lips.
your eyes held Mattheo’s as your tongue swirled around the head of his cock, a satisfied smirk across his face as you took him into your mouth.
your mouth warm and welcoming around him, bobbing your head and listening to the groans toppling from his lips.
in the back of your mind, you felt bad for Theo— having to watch the sight in front of him instead of participating. but the shaky groans next to you, and then Mattheo’s teasing words let you know he wasn’t that far out of pleasure.
"enjoying the view?"
you pulled off of Mattheo’s cock, a string of saliva connecting your lips to his tip and replacing your mouth with your hand. stroking him slowly while glancing over to Theo, his hand moving along his cock at the sight of you on your knees.
you watched him, his hand stilling as he noticed you both watching. keeping your voice soft as you spoke up to Mattheo.
“let him join Matty, whole reason i invited both of you”
he was about to protest, wanting to keep you to himself for a little but the look in your eyes and the way you called him Matty had his resolve crumbling.
reluctantly, he moved to sit against the headboard of your bed. Theo helped you up onto your feet, his hands soft against your hips as you leaned in to press a kiss to his jaw.
you seen as Theo’s eyes flicked to Mattheo’s before landing on your face again, his hands soothing across your hips as he gently pushed you towards the bed.
climbing closer to Mattheo and settling on your hands and knees, you felt Theo climb onto the bed behind you and grasp your hips again.
instinctively, you arched your back. your head against one of Mattheo’s thighs while Theo positioned himself at your entrance, slowly pushing into your warmth as you took Mattheo’s cock back into your mouth.
moaning around him as Theo pushed into you, his pace steady as his cock filled you. Mattheo’s hips rocked up into you and pulling a muffled gasp from you, one of your hands on the bed next to his hip as you slowly started to bob your head again.
“that’s it, doing so good for us love”
Theo groaned from behind you, his pace having picked up the and the sound of skin slapping against skin filled the otherwise quiet room— apart from Mattheo’s groans.
he watched through hooded eyes, his left hand on the back of your head to guide you along his length. the taste of him consumed your senses, eager to make him finish in your mouth.
hollowing your cheeks as you sped up your pace ever so slightly, causing his hips to rock up into you and the tip of him hitting the back of your throat. at the same time, Theo set a bruising pace— pulling moan after moan from you, and Mattheo’s cock throbbing in your mouth at the feeling.
the feeling of Mattheo was heavy in your mouth, and the taste of him became stronger the closer he got to his release.
he felt heat rising to his cheeks, a heady mix of his arousal and a hint of embarrassment of how close he was to toppling over the edge.
he tried to hold off as best he could, shaky and stuttered praises leaving him in the process.
“fuck baby, doing so good”
he kept trying to hold off, but the way your mouth felt around him and steady flicker of your eyes opening to meet his had him spilling down your throat quicker than he’d expected.
pink tinted his cheeks as his chest heaved, his head lulled back as you pulled off of his cock as you swallowed down his release— which gave Theo the chance to finally get you to moan loudly now.
his pace picked up, which sent you toppling against Mattheo. you buried your head against his stomach as Theo continued to thrust into you, his pace had the pool of warmth bubbling over in your belly and your walls fluttering around him.
“christ—“
he grit out, his pace stuttering as he grew closer to his climax. his hair toppled in his face as he continued, the squeeze of your walls around him was pushing him closer and closer to the edge until you were both teetering on the edge.
Mattheo had took on a softer roll now, soothing his hand across your back and leaning down to press a kiss to the top of your head.
with one last thrust from Theo you were toppling over the edge as the coil in your belly snapped, a lewd moan fell from your lips as your climax hit. your cunt spasming around Theo before you fell limp below him, a dopey smile across your face as the bliss of the moment hit.
"that was the prettiest sound i've ever heard"
Mattheo praised, his hands leaving your back to rest on the back of your head. your mind had gone hazy, and you barely registered the moment Theo had pulled out until he was spilling his release onto your lower back.
“shit— took it so well”
he groaned, leaning in closer to press a kiss to your shoulder. both boys met eyes in that moment and shared a look of something akin to surprise that they’d gone through with that.
after a minute, Theo climbed out of bed to go and grab a towel to clean you while Mattheo continued to hold you.
he waited until Theo was out of earshot to whisper out to you.
"i didn't think you were into that"

SINGLE DAD!SAE ITOSHI
A/N: This isn't my usual content, but I was thinking about this scenario and I had huge baby fever so I couldn't NOT write it. I love Sae too much y'all. Also sorry for any spelling mistakes english ain't my first language.
Warnings: Mentions of death and grieving, Sae tries forcing his daughter to either eat her vegetables or go to school hungry (he doesn't go through with it)(this is a very brief scene but it could still be triggering to some people). STILL MOSTLY FLUFF I SWEAR.
Contents: Sae being a girl dad fr, y'all can't change my mind on this one, also Rin being an uncle. That's pretty much it. A little ooc (Rin mostly)
"Papaaaa" Mao complained, her voice echoing across the house and making Sae drop the dishes he was washing and walk across the house into her room to see what was going on... this time. Although he had a pretty good idea given her recent tantrums.
"Can't sleep?" he inquired, but he knew the answer as soon as she saw her curling up in her little bed and pouting, her doe teal eyes looking up to him as if to give him pity. "No, Mao, you cannot come sleep in my room."
"Why not?!"
"You've already been sleeping there all week... come on, you're a big girl, you can sleep on your own room."
"But I wanna be with you..." he sighed. It had seemed she had inherited his stubbornness, because sometimes it felt like there was just no way of making her change her mind when she was set on something. He leaned against the door a little, thinking about what to say that may change her mind.
"I know I was away for a while the last couple of weeks and I understand you missed me, but I can't have this conversation with you every single night."
"Why do you go away in the first place..."
"You know why, I have to for work." he countered, "And do not ask me why I can't bring you along, we've talked about this countless of times before. I don't go away for fun. If I bring you with me, you'll want to go everywhere with me and then you'll get fussy and mad because I'll be working all the time, or worse, you'll get bored to death in the hotel. Believe me, staying here is best for you when I go on business trips."
"But I just wanna be with you!!" his eye almost twitched in annoyance at the sight; he knew that tone of voice all too well. It was another tantrum coming his way, but still, he tried to remain calm for her sake.
"You're with me now."
"So can I sleep in your room?"
"No." then she threatened to start crying. He let out a low, defeated huff, holding back the urge to roll his eyes. She just wasn't giving up, was she? Pushing himself off the doorframe, he looked back at her before speaking. "Fine. Come on."
"This is the last time." he knew damn well that was a fat lie, but he still had to at least pretend to be firm. She would grow up to be a spoiled child otherwise, or at least that's what he was used to tell himself.
The little girl beamed, quickly jumping out of bed and running towards her father. She hopped with her arms up towards him asking to be carried, to which he complied. He wrapped his arms around her small frame and lifted her up, watching as she clung onto him as if he just came back from war or something. Could he really blame her, though? She had lost her mother and he was away all the time; it would be strange if she wasn't feeling lonely.
"Papa, sing me a song." Sae reconsidered his life decisions for a moment there, not gonna lie, but how could he honestly say no to those pleading eyes?
"Fine..." he sighed, his voice soft and low as he began humming whatever song he could think of on the top of his head. Still keeping a secure hold on her, Sae began rocking his daughter to further lure her to sleep. He held her with one arm so that he could close the door of her room, the soft click assuring him that everything was in order, and then started walking a few steps towards his.
By this point, little Mao was sound asleep on his arms, and he almost chuckled at the thought of his daughter refusing to sleep until she was with him. He carefully opened the door a few meters away and walked quitely to the bed, trying his best to not wake up the sleeping child on his arms, and set her down to rest. Once tucked in and comfortable, he let out a sigh of relief. Finally, the brat was asleep and he could be at peace. She could be so clingly and energetic sometimes... not that he cared that much, even though her restlessness was exhausting, it showed that she felt safe and loved enough to be her enthusiastic self around him without any regrets.
It was weird to him, like an unfamiliar sense of pride that surged at the sight of her young daughter bouncing around and playing endlessly. He would often look at her and think about how different her personality was from his, and how much it reminded him of her mother. Sae tried not to though, as he despised comparing his daughter to his late wife over and over again, but sometimes he just couldn't help it. From the way she smiled to the color of her hair... they were just so alike each other. He still kept all the memories from her close to his heart, which in a way made him feel guilty. Sae knew just how much his daughter yearned for a maternal figure; someone to talk to and educate her about girly stuff that he may not understand. He would watch her staring at the other kids with their moms and act like it really wasn't a big deal to avoid making him feel like he wasn't enough, but Sae knew better. It was obvious to him that his daughter absolutely adored him, and he was sure she thought he was enough, but he also knew that she missed having a mom. She missed her mom. He missed her mom too.
Normally he would avoid talking about it. It had been hard enough trying to explain to this small child that her mom wasn't coming home that night, or ever, let alone process his own grief at the loss of the only woman he once loved. If he cried, he had to do it when his daughter wasn't looking, because the last thing he needed to add to his worries was worrying his daughter to the point of avoiding everything that may set off a bad mood on him. It wasn't her fault, he just felt his heart break everytime he took her home and she pointed at a framed picture of her mom exclaiming 'Mama!' Or 'Hey mama', 'I'm back, mama', 'Miss you, mama'. He would hold back his tears and take a deep breath whenever she tried asking if she could visit her mom in the place she was at (as he initially had told her it was a place where she couldn't come back), having to explain carefully that she couldn't. She would get mad and ask why a bunch of times, but he didn't have the heart to tell her 'She's dead' straight up. He really tried to just give her an excuse like that she was sleeping forever or something, as if she was in the sleeping beauty, but then she just began asking if a true love kiss from him would wake her up. She was a child, after all, and she hadn't quite grassped the concept of death yet.
He let himself watch her sleep for a few moments, sinking in the stillness of the night. Taking care of a young child made this moments rare, and he treasured whatever rest he could get. He reached out to the nightstand and picked up the heater remote, pressing a couple of buttons to turn it on a bit; just enough to keep the room warm, as he knew nights at that time of the year could become fairly cold and he didn't want his daughter getting sick. And as expected, she got very evidently more comfortable as the room became warmer, falling into a deeper state of sleep. She had only carried her favorite bunny plushie from her room to hold onto and apparently that was all she needed to fall asleep. He plopped himself onto the bed as well and fell asleep almost instantly from the exhaustion of the day, not even caring about closing the door or the half-washed dishes he left on the sink or even the fact that he hadn't even changed his clothes. He was DONE for the day.
Although, the next day he most definitely regretted it.
He had to wake up early and finish cleaning all the mess his daughter had left throughout the day, plus now he had to make breakfast, wake her up and get her to school. Sae was a rather organized person and he would normally not find himself in this type of situation, but it seemed like ever since he became a father he was running short of time for everything no matter how much he tried to plan in advance.
"Morning." Sae greeted his still somewhat sleepy child as she yawned and climbed the chair infront of her to eat. "Slept well?"
"Mhm..." Mao mumbled, rubbing her eyes with one arm while she still clung to her favorite plushie with the other. He placed a plate on the table for her and then one for him, along with his usual morning coffee and the only damned brand of juice that she liked for some reason and that he had to drive for an hour to buy.
"Come on, eat. You have preschool today."
"Can't I skip? It's snowing so muuuuch." the kid dropped her head onto the table and sighed, clearly displeased about going to school.
"Apparently it's not snowing enough to cancel your classes. Now, please, eat."
He watched intently as his daughter took a close look at the food, pouting and feeling now rather down since she wasn't allowed to skip school. She took a couple of bites of her breakfast and she had a few sips of her juice, then she pushed her plate a little to indicate she was done.
"Thanks for the food." she was about to get off the table when she was interrupted by her father's stern voice.
"Not so fast. There is no way you're full with just that."
"Yeah I am..." such an obvious lie.
"Why aren't you eating? And I want the truth."
She pouted, AGAIN, before reluctantly giving an answer.
"It has green peppers on it..." and there you have it; this was the real challenge of Sae's day.
"I told you, they're good for you."
"But they're gross! Can I eat something else please?" this is Sae's life now. Even winning a soccer match was easier than getting his daughter to eat her vegetables.
"Mao, I spent a lot of time making breakfast for you, can you please finish your food? You still need to get ready to go to school. I don't have any time to make you more breakfeast; I have to go work."
"But... I really don't like them... please?" that was the last straw for him. He didn't mean to sound cruel, but he was tired and didn't know what else to say.
"Mao Itoshi, you're staying on this table until the last bite of food on your plate is GONE. If you don't, you'll go to school hungry and I'm not making you anything else after I pick you up. You are eating this one way or another." he almost instantly regretted the harsh tone of voice he had used, as he saw his kid's eyes begin watering. He passed his hands through his face in exasperation, took a deep breath, and walked around the table to pick her up. He exhaled, trying his best to remain calm before speaking to her again, as he could feel Mao's tears on his clothes and the little shudders she made at the effort to hold back tears. Sae patted and passed his fingers through his daughter's hair in a poor attempt to soothe her, but the damage was already done. She was holding thay bunny plush in her arms like a lifeline. "Sorry, okay? I didn't mean to be so hard on you. I woke up early to make your breakfast and you just took a few bites of it... I got frustrated, but that wasn't a reason to force you to eat something you don't like. I'm just saying, green peppers aren't the end of the world; they can be tasty."
"I guess I can eat them..." he sighed.
"No, you'll just be eating them out of guilt. You shouldn't do things you don't want to just because you're afraid of someone's bad mood." he thought for a moment. Mao eating the green peppers wasn't the ideal result now, she was hurt and vulnerable and that would only teach her that she should fear and comply which wouldn't end well on the long run... still, he did spend his time making her breakfast and didn't want it to go to waste. "Tell you what. I'll eat the green peppers for today, if you promise you'll at least try them next time, and I'll find another recipe to try to make them taste better. Sound good?" she nodded, still hiding her face from him by pressing it against his clothes. "Good. Now, I really don't have more time to make you more breakfast, so let's pick out the stuff you don't like just this once, and only this one time. I seriously need you to try to learn to eat your vegetables."
"...'kay."
"Let's hurry then; you still need to get ready for school."
Sae for sure was missing having some help on the raising of his daughter. He would never admit it though, he would try and pretend parenting was the easiest thing in the world when in reality he was fighting for his life everyday trying to shape this little human into a good person, and refraining from helping her while she failed at tying her shoe countless of times before admiting she didn't know how to do it (this is why he only buys her velcro).
He left the tiny sparkling pink shoes on the ground as he heard the doorbell, then looked at the clock hanging from the wall nearby. 8:14am, who in the world was it this early? Sae indicated his daughter to stay still on the couch before walking towards the door, and right after seeing the face on the other side he furrowed his eyebrows in surprise.
"Rin? What are you doing here?" his little brother then proceeded to push him aside and step inside as if it were his own house.
"Move, I didn't come here for you." his eyes traveled the room and eventually fell on the little girl sitting on the couch, and in a blink of an eye he had lifted the little girl up and hugged her tightly. Despite her surprise, she could obviously recognize her only favorite uncle.
To everyone's surprise, Rin absolutely adored his niece. Sure he had problems with his older brother but he didn't have to take it out on an innocent child that had done nothing to him. Besides, she was so adorable and bubbly and so NOT like Sae. Rin sometimes would stare at her in amazement, wondering how it was possible that this was truly Sae's spawn; yet the teal eyes and lower lashes were unmistakable. She was an Itoshi alright.
"Umclw Rwin!" her voice came out muffled, as she was currently being burried on his chest, but the sentiment was there.
"What are you doing here?" Sae was straight to the point, not caring about his cold tone of voice this time. And he says he doesn't have favorites.
"I just came back from my morning run." the younger Itoshi explained, still not looking at him in the eye. "Thought I'd stop by to say hello."
"To her."
"Yes, I didn't want to talk to your pathetic-"
"Language."
"Shut up."
"Don't hug her when you're still sweaty and gross, she just took a bath." he continued scolding Rin, earning a groan of frustration from him.
"Your dad is so annoying." his niece giggled at the obvious beef between his dad and uncle. She didn't really understand it but it was funny from her point of view. "Such lukewarm rules he has."
"Lukewarm!" she repeated.
"Rin, stop teaching her those words. Mao, say bye to your uncle; we have to get you to school."
"Awwwwww, can he come with?"
"Fine, whatever will get you to actually go to school. Rin, let's go."
"Don't boss me around." he complained, walking with his niece on his arms towards the door and setting her down. "Let's put on our shoes, shall we?" he took the shoes Sae had set down earlier and helped the kid put them on with ease. Of course, he had dealt with this countless of times before. Sae had the bad habit of using him as a free nanny for whenever he had to travel, which was often.
"Uncle Rin, how do you go running with all this snow? It's so cold!"
"When you run, you sweat and then it doesn't feel so cold." he finished tying the kid's shoelaces and took her by the hand, then Sae picked up a scarf wrapped it carefully around her neck.
"Don't take it off." he warned, watching as she began squirming to get away from the scratchy scarf. "It's cold out, I don't want you getting sick."
"Okay, papa." he gave her a quick kiss on the forehead before taking her free hand and not so subtly making Rin let go of her as he finally opened the front door. They were quickly hit by the cold winter air, and Mao shuddered a little at the sudden change in temperature.
Stil, Sae made sure his hand was holding hers tight and that she kept herself on his field of vision. There would be someday in the future where she wouldn't need him to hold her hand; he had to treasure these moments and not let her go while he still could.

What Would I do?-Simon "Ghost" Riley
A/N: I woke up, wrote this in the middle of the night, listened to my sleeping playlist and decided that you could need this, so...here you go. All the events aren't written in chronological order, but rather moments at random that lead to something...I won't spoil this part, so read it, babes. I know this isn't to the quality of the latest ones I've put out but just bare with me on this one, I had a lot of ideas! And you’re more than welcome to search the title on Spotify, it’s a good song that obviously matches this fic
-- F!Reader, established!relationship, fluff, boyfriend!simon --
Boyfriend, what a word for a man like him. Is it the sweetness of your touch? Could it be the way you are so gentle with him? Maybe it's the way he found himself driving to your place instead of his own after a long day of work. Whatever it is, the answer to all his problems is you. You, you, you, and lovely you.
From the beginning, he told you he isn't a man that will ever be called a husband. You, of course–saddened by this comment–just nodded and accepted it. He always meant it because, with the life he's had, there is no way in hell he would want to add to his worries. Plus, he doesn't need love, doesn't need the companionship. It's just him and the stress he carries.
Then, you came in.
"Before we begin this, I won't ever marry you, I'm not sorry if you feel bad, it's just my decision." He states and since it's a fresh relationship, you nod, "I understand."
From then on, he didn't need to remind you. It was always in the back of your head that no matter what, he'd stay a boyfriend. Even now, five years into a relationship. Living in separate places, and different friend groups, your love for him persists and you stay through the good and bad. Maybe it's because even if you'll never wear the wedding dress in your Pinterest board, you will have him, for however long he'll have you. Please, god let it be forever.
--
"I can't sleep," you say over the phone. This is how it started. How after one year together, he finds himself driving to your place, you didn't ask for it but he won't let your insomnia ruin your day off. What is it about you that has him finding ways to make your life better? Could it be that you drove to pick him up one time from the airport? Maybe it's the way kissing you feels? No, that can't be. Is it that you understand him? Maybe.
Whatever it is, he unlocks your front door with the spare key you gave him. As he approaches your room, he finds you listening to the song you said reminds you of him. What's this weird feeling in his chest? Why does this scene make him feel warm? Goosebumps, no, he never gets goosebumps.
He pushes your door gently and you turn around. "Simon, hi," you immediately pause the song, hoping he didn't recognise it in time. But he did and that caused him to smile—oh silly girl. "Hi, lovie," his voice much softer now. Hesits down, wraps an arm around your shoulder and kisses your head. "What's in that pretty head of yours, hm?" he asks and at the same time, you find yourself to be more comfortable in his hold.
"Everything," you mumble and that's when you hear that deep and soft chuckle of his.
Within five minutes, he finds himself lying in bed with you, holding a book he found on your nightstand. He looks down at you, your head resting on his chest, right where it belongs.
As you close your eyes, that's when you hear it, he starts to read out loud. Usually, he would just lay in bed until you fell asleep. But not tonight, something told him to just read to you. Is it that maybe he wants you to be comfortable? Toprovide you what you provide for him? Whatever it is, it has got him here. His voice is soothing, it's calming in many ways. He doesn't understand it, no matter how many times you explain that you love it.
--
"Lovie?" he calls out to you when he arrives at your place. This is the first time he calls you a pet name. It feels...odd but good to do this. He steps further into your place, the lights are dim, something he knows you love because it makes the rooms more "aesthetically pleasing to walk into". "Love?" he calls out and that's when panic sets in.
You always answer, to the first time he calls your name.
He rushes into your room, only to see you asleep. There is a moment when his gaze softens. It's almost comical how much he has changed. How much he has wanted to change.
He was never like this with past partners, I mean he did like them and all but with you, he is trying and trying to understand all your creases, to become someone worthy of much more than that sweet smile you give him. So, he leans by the doorway to your bedroom and watches you sleep.
How can someone be so beautiful at all times? How can you make him feel so...good? So safe and happy? God, he loves you. And as he watches you sleep, he feels his chest warm up, something odd and for a second it feels like he is getting a heart attack. But then he realises it.
He is in love...true love.
--
"What's this?" he asks as one day he finds you, sitting by the dining table with a cake and a candle.
"It's your birthday, and I know you don't celebrate but...maybe this can be a one-time thing," your voice soft and that's when he feels his chest tighten. He drops his bags, makes sure the door is locked and sits beside you. He pulls you onto his lap and wraps his arms around you. You light up a singular candle, holding the small cake to him.
At this moment, when the only light comes from the candle and the kitchen hood lights, he can take his mask off and appreciate how you gently sing for him. This was the first time he celebrated his birthday, well...first time in over a decade where it felt good to do so.
When he blows the candles, his gaze shifts from the cake to you. You kiss his forehead and his brows furrow whilst his eyes close. God, this is home. "Happy birthday, Simon," you whisper as you set the cake down.
Maybe heaven is real after all. His faithless prayers were answered and his angel arrived.
--
Coughs, headaches and long naps.
Simon has been sick for three days so far and has possibly got the best nurse around. You.
"Eat–"
"I'm not hungry, y/n," he says but you give him that mum look. "Eat, Simon." you persist and he sighs, opening his mouth as you feed him a spoonful of soup. You smile as you watch him eat. It worries you that this is the first meal he actually accepts but you're also content about it. "S'good," he comments and you nod. Of course, it's good, you think.
As you leave the room to get him some warm tea, he lays there, appreciating the past days. He wouldn't admit it but he loves this, loves to get pampered by you. It's the first time in so long that where feels cared for, like someone out there means all the little things they do to make him feel better.
--
Dinner at your family's house. He is nervous even though he's been here before. This time he feels different, there is something in the air tonight. He holds your hand as you walk through the threshold.
Greeting family members was always the longest part but if you enjoy it, so will he. 'God, this wasn't me before you came in, Y/N,' he says to himself.
Sitting around the family room, your sibling's children run around and while you get carried away talking and gossiping with your siblings, he finds himself being the centre of attention to all the children. "Uncle Simon, I want to fly like a plane again!" one of the younger kids exclaimed. You look around and see him there, holding a child in his arms, the biggest smile on him as he watches the child giggle while he parades them around the room as if they were a plane.
He puts the child down, looks over at you and his gaze softens. Your heart melts at this. He has never looked so perfect like right now.
On the drive home, he holds your hand in his as he drives.
There is something in the air. Something sweet that screams future life. He looks over at you for a second then back at the road. That's how he finds himself picturing you and him, moving in together, settling down and running around the house you both call home, chasing your children while he tries to fix the light in the kitchen.
Domesticty is what he craves when it's just you two.
--
There came a time when he lay in bed with you, shirtless with only his boxers on as he laid his head on your chest. Hisarms lazily resting at your sides, bodies intertwined while he listens to your heartbeat. Your hand caresses his back while the other runs from his neck to his hair. He hums, slowly mumbling about his day. Maybe after all havingsomeone isn't the end of the world.
He closes his eyes, taking in the comfort of your hold, the bedsheets and the safety he feels at this exact moment.
--
Three days, that's how long it took for a mission to last before he calls you, mid-day for him, midnight for you. "My love, where are you?" he asks in a panic. "Home, why? Is everything okay?" you ask before he cuts you off. "I was taking a nap and dreamt that you died," he says, nearly out of breath.
"Trust me, it will be hard to get rid of me, you've got me for at least thirty lifetimes," you say with a smile and he can hear it. He loves it when you distract him with witty comments. "I better have you for more than thirty, my love," he says at that moment, the nickname feels right. More than right. He wants to keep calling you that until his dying breath.
--
It was a random evening. You were stuck figuring out some hobby of yours as he cooked dinner. And as he waits for the food to be done baking he leans on the counter and looks out the window.
He thought about the one time he dodged a failed relationship with you.
What if you hadn't sat down and talked it out? Would you be in another man's arms? Would you be giving them the kisses that belong to him? What if your cuddles belonged to another guy?
Your laugh rings in his ears and he can't imagine you laughing at any other man's jokes but his. Who but you to laugh at his jokes, your hand on his shoulder or chest as your eyes crinkle at the corners like always?
It hits him suddenly that all those years ago when he told you that he would never be someone's husband should have never been said. You know why. It is because he won't be someone's husband, not when in his mind he has been yours all along. Sure he doesn't have the official title but the nose kisses you give him, the ones where he pretends to hate them with a grumble are something.
--
"There is something, something I lied about years ago when I met you." he begins. You're in his lap, surely it isn't to end this sweet love. "I find myself hating on what I said, hating that it's been a lie. I love you," his voice softens at those three words, he sighs and looks into your eyes. "I have no idea what my life looks like from the outside, but when I look at my future, there is one thing I see," he clears his throat. "You, I see you and me. I always thought of myself as the guy everyone forgets about, because he had three friends and that was it."
He takes your hand in his, "And then, you came along, and I see a life, I see myself in ways I never did before. Youchanged me, you make me want to keep coming home, coming to hold you, to show you I will never break my promise." His lips find your knuckles, "I have no fucking idea what life is after you because I don't want a life after you, I want my life to be spent here. I have no clue what or who I was before you came into my life. What would I do without? No clue but I know what to do with you now," he looks into your eyes and you see how much he means every word.
"Just promise me this, stay with me." he gently gets up and your gaze shifts as now you look up at him. "Stay, because I am nothing but a lifeless soldier, looking for someone and I'm done looking, y/n, I found you and that's all I need now," he says.
He gets down on one knee, "Y/N Y/L/N, will you marry me?" He asks, his gaze full of so much hope and in that moment, your heart races. Tears well up in your eyes and you nod. Speechless but with a huge grin, you nod.
"Yes," you manage to say. You don't even notice the ring, but you feel him slide it onto your ring finger. He smiles, like a child on Christmas as he gets up and embraces you, making sure this isn't him creating an illusion.
"Oh, my love," his voice muffled, face buried in your neck. "I love you so much and I will prove to you that this wasn't a mistake. I will make you the happiest woman alive," he says, pulling away and kissing you with conviction.

The soft click of the door shutting behind you barely registers as you slip into his home office. Your eyelids are heavy, the remnants of sleep still tugging at your senses as you blink them away. The clock on the wall reads 3:00 a.m. sharp.
The gentle glow of his desk lamp casts a golden hue over his chiseled profile. It’s a scene you’ve walked into countless times—Javier immersed in his work, utterly focused, documents spread haphazardly across the desk.
“Amor,” his voice scrapes through the quiet, rough and low from hours of silence. He leans back in his chair, the leather groaning softly beneath him, and his arms open, beckoning you close. His dark eyes soften when they meet yours. “What are you doing up?”
You step toward him without hesitation, as though pulled by a force you can’t resist. Sliding onto his lap sideways, you settle yourself against his comforting frame, resting your head in the warm crook of his neck.
The familiar scent of him—a mix of his cologne and the faint, earthy tang of coffee—wraps around you like a blanket.
“I can’t sleep without you, Javi,” you murmur, pouting slightly as your fingers idly trace patterns on the fabric of his shirt. “You know that.”
His large hand trails up and down your spine in slow, soothing strokes. He presses a tender kiss to the crown of your head, and his sigh feels as heavy as the workload surrounding him. “I know baby,” he murmurs. “I just have a lot to get through before my meeting in the morning.”
You groan in frustration, pulling back just enough to meet his eyes. Your lower lip juts out in a way you know he finds irresistible, but it’s not just an act. “Sometimes it feels like you prioritize this,” you say, gesturing toward the chaotic sprawl of documents on his desk, “over me.”
His mustache twitches with a frown, the corners of his mouth tugging downward. “Don’t say that,” the sincerity in his tone clear. “You know that’s not true.”
“Then why are you here instead of in bed with me?” Your tone softens, though the ache of loneliness seeps through.
You know he works hard, tirelessly, to provide for you, to ensure you both have the life you dreamed of. But knowing that doesn’t always make it easier to compete with the demands of his job. Sometimes, it feels like you’re fighting for scraps of his time, his attention.
He doesn’t respond right away, but he doesn’t need to. Over the years, you’ve learned to read every nuance of your husband—the slight crease between his brows, the way his lips press together, the tension in his jaw. Reaching up, you trace a finger along his jawline, your thumb brushing gently over the sharp curve of his cheekbone.
His skin is warm beneath your touch, and you feel the tension in him ebb away, piece by piece.
Javier’s arms tighten around you, one hand resting on your bare thigh, right where your oversized t-shirt rides up, the other pressing into the small of your back. “You want me to come to bed?”
His warm breath sends a shiver down your spine as his nose skims along your jawline, and you hum in response, your fingers curling into the fabric of his shirt.
His lips ghost along your skin, scattering kisses that make your breath hitch. “Seems like I’ve been neglecting my duties. Got my girl sittin’ here, pouting in my lap, begging for attention.” The faint rasp in his voice has lust pooling low in your belly.
A whimper escapes before you can stop it, your hips shifting instinctively against his lap. You’ve missed this—the intensity, the intimacy, the way he always manages to make you feel like the center of his universe, even when life pulls him in every other direction.
His hand inches higher, the rough pad of his thumb brushing against the soft skin of your inner thigh, his knuckles grazing the edge of your cotton panties, sending a spark through your body.
“Bet she’s warm and wet for me,” he murmurs, his lips grazing the shell of your ear before catching your earlobe between his teeth.
Your thighs part almost involuntarily, “Javi,” you moan, burying your face in his neck, your lips latching onto the spot just below his jaw.
His groan vibrates against you, low and guttural. His free hand comes down hard on your thigh with a satisfying smack, making you yelp and arch in surprise.
“You can’t be marking me up like that, mi amor. It’s not exactly professional for me to walk into a meeting with a giant hickey.”
You bite back a smirk, your teeth grazing his jaw before whispering, “I don’t care.”
His response is swift and deliberate. The hand that had been teasing between your thighs moves, strong fingers wrapping around your throat in a firm but unyielding grip. He pulls you back from his neck, forcing your gaze to lock with his. The intensity in his dark eyes makes your breath hitch, and the way his thumb brushes the underside of your jaw sends a thrill down your spine.
“Don’t be like this, baby,” he rasps, his tone commanding but laced with affection, his thumb brushing lightly over the delicate skin of your throat.
He leans in, drawing you closer by the grip on your neck, his lips brushing yours so faintly it feels like a tease.
The tickle of his mustache against your skin makes you shiver, your thighs twitching in anticipation. The ache between your legs grows unbearable, and your mind spins with the need to feel him—any part of him. His pretty mouth, his strong hands, his delicious cock… you’d take it all, every piece of him until there was nothing left to take.
“Please,” you whisper, desperation dripping from your voice as you close the sliver of space between you and kiss him. It starts soft, your tongue gliding along his bottom lip before slipping into his mouth, tasting him deeply. He responds with a low groan, his tongue tangling with yours, and the hand at your neck tightens just enough to make your head spin.
You moan into his mouth, your free hand sliding down the front of his shirt, savoring the hard planes of his chest. Your fingers flirt with the cool metal of his belt buckle before venturing lower, cupping his hardening length through his slacks.
The sultry sound that escapes him urges you to palm him, your touch deliberate as you apply more pressure, delighting in the way he twitches beneath your hand.
His hips shift involuntarily, and you squirm on his lap, the dampness between your thighs growing as your neglected pussy aches for attention.
Javier breaks the kiss, his lips trailing down to your jawline, then back to your mouth, where he bites and nips at your bottom lip. His hand moves from your throat to your chest, cupping and kneading your tits through the fabric of your shirt. The feeling has you arching into him, silently begging for more as your nipples pucker.
When his hand slides back between your legs, you let out a shaky breath, your head falling to his shoulder. His thumb traces a teasing line up your soaked slit, the fabric of your panties doing nothing to dull the feeling. He alternates between feather-light touches and firm squeezes of your thighs, keeping you trembling and needy in his lap.
You latch onto his lips again, kissing him feverishly, your desperation bleeding into every movement. The air between you is electric, the sound of wet kisses and shared breaths filling the room. Javier doesn’t pull away, doesn’t rush you—he matches your pace, taking everything you’re giving him and giving it back tenfold.
His thumb circles your clit over your panties, drawing a gasp from your lips that he swallows with a grin. “You’re so wound up, cariño,” he murmurs, his voice dripping with smug satisfaction. “Can’t even think straight, can you?”
You shake your head, a breathy moan spilling from your mouth as he continues to toy with you, always a tease.
Javier’s dark eyes flick up to yours, filled with that commanding intensity that never fails to make your stomach flip. “Sit on the desk.”
Without hesitation, you do as he says, sliding off his lap and onto the edge of the polished wood, your palms bracing against its surface.
You perch there, your knees drawn together, but the look in his eyes tells you he wants more.
Javier rolls his chair forward, the scrape of its legs on the floor adding to the charged atmosphere. He leans in, placing a gentle kiss on your knee. The warmth of his lips against your skin is welcomed, and when he taps your other knee with his fingers, you know exactly what he wants.
“Spread them, baby,” his command is like gravel smoothed by velvet. “Let me see how wet you are.”
Your heart races as you part your legs, the mess between them undeniable. His gaze drops, locking onto the damp spot that has already formed in the center of your panties. A wicked smile tugs at the corner of his lips, and he leans forward, pressing another kiss on your skin—this time on the inside of your knee.
His warm breath fans against your thigh as he drags his tongue along its length, stopping just short of where you ache for him most.
His curved nose nudges against your cunt, and you gasp softly, the intimate gesture making you feel hot all over. He inhales deeply, his eyes fluttering shut for a moment as if savoring the scent of you. “Tan rica, amor.”
Javier’s tongue presses against the fabric of your panties, licking a broad, wet stripe that has you quivering under his touch. Your elbows give slightly as you lean back, surrendering to him wholly.
He hums in satisfaction, his hands firm on your thighs to keep you steady and spread as he works you over by tonguing at you over the fabric.
When he hooks a finger under the edge of your panties and pulls them aside, the cool air hits your bare skin, making you whimper. His eyes darken at the sight of your glistening folds, the damp curls surrounding your beautiful pussy, and he lowers his head again, delivering gentle kisses with his plush lips.
The wet sounds of his mouth meeting your skin are indecently loud, and the lewd intimacy of it has your head tipping back, eyes fluttering shut.
“Such a pretty pussy,” he mutters, his voice muffled against you. “Miss her so much. Miss you.”
The affection in his words melts into the overwhelming pleasure as his tongue dips into your slit, circling your clit with unrelenting precision. A soft moan escapes your lips, and your thighs twitch beneath his touch, unable to resist the way he knows exactly how to undo you.
He grips you tighter, keeping you spread for him as his tongue delves deeper, tasting every heady inch of you. His groans vibrate against your sensitive skin, and the sheer devotion in his actions leaves you trembling, utterly at his mercy.
“Javi,” you moan, his name spilling from your lips as he devours you with an unrelenting hunger. The coarseness of his mustache against your slick folds sends jolts of pleasure through your body, and your hips buck upwards, desperate to feel more of him.
When his teeth graze your swollen clit, you yelp, the sharp edge sensation of it making your back arch as you fall flat against the desk. The crumple of papers beneath you is barely a thought in your mind, overwhelmed as you are by the pleasure of his ministrations.
Your fingers find their way into his hair, tangling in the soft brown curls and tugging hard.
He groans against you, the vibration an added stimulant from the amazing head he’s always giving you. “Oh yes, Javi, just like that,” you gasp, urging him on as your thighs tremble.
His lips close around your clit, sucking harshly, and you feel your breath lodge in your throat. Then he shakes his head, the movement rough and deliberate, and the friction of his facial hair combined with the firm press of his nose against your most sensitive spot has you spiraling.
“Oh fuck!” you cry out, your body trembling as the tension inside you winds tighter and tighter, especially when he stuffs his tongue inside of your fluttering hole, fucking you with it.
Javier pulls back just enough to spit on your cunt, the lewd sound making your body crave him more. His fingers slide through the mix of saliva and your creamy arousal, swirling it around the mouth of your cunt before he plunges two thick fingers deep inside you.
Your back bows off the desk, a yelp tearing from your lips as he sets a rhythm that’s both rough yet fulfilling. His fingers curl and twist just right, pressing against that spot that makes your entire body vibrate and colorful spots dot your vision.
He doesn’t relent, his mouth is back on your clit in an instant, his tongue flicking over it with a precision born from all the hours he’s spent learning your body.
The combined assault of his mouth and fingers is too much and not enough all at once. You’re drowning in the sensations, every nerve alight as he drives you closer to the edge with every pump, every lick. “Javi,” you choke out, your nails scraping against his scalp as the heat in your core threatens to spill over. “I’m gonna—”
He hums against you, doubling down on his efforts as if daring you to let go, and with one final wet, hot suck, you do.
Your orgasm crashes over you, ripping through your body in waves that leave you crying out his name, utterly undone in his hands.
When he pulls away, a glistening string of your essence clings to his swollen lips. His tongue sweeps it up eagerly, savoring you with a deep, satisfied hum, as if he hadn’t just devoured you from the inside out.
You barely register the clink of his belt being undone, the metallic sound followed by the soft rustle of fabric as he pushes his pants down just enough to free himself. His cock stands thick and proud, the head flushed in an angry red and glistening with precum, his heavy balls hanging beneath it, full and ready.
The sight alone makes your mouth water and your cunt clench with fresh need.
Javier leans over you, capturing your lips in a messy, hungry kiss. The tangy taste of your arousal lingers on his tongue as it slides against yours, drawing a whimper from your throat.
His groan reverberates through you as he drags the velvety, swollen head of his cock along the sticky seam of your cunt, spreading your wetness and teasing your sensitive clit.
He swirls himself around your nub, igniting sparks all over your overstimulated body, then slaps the hot tip against your bundle of nerves, making you cry out. “Javi,” you gasp, your hips bucking toward him, desperate for more.
He finds your entrance, the warmth of you wrapping around him as he pushes in slowly, savoring every inch. The guttural sound he makes when he sinks into you is pure sin. “Always so wet and tight for me,” he grunts, his teeth gritting as your slick walls stretch to accommodate him.
You throw your head back, a litany of curses and pleas spilling from your lips. “Oh fuck—Javi—you feel so good. I need you to make me feel this for days.”
He growls low in his throat at your words, his hips pressing flush against yours as he fills you completely, the heat of his cock nestled deep within you. The damp fabric of your shirt clings to your sweat-slicked skin, but all you can focus on is the way he feels—how his cock seems to claim every part of you.
Javi kisses you again, rough and unrelenting, before standing to his full height, his strong hands gripping you as he adjusts your position.
Your hips dangle just over the edge of the desk, his hand squeezing the curve of your ass while the other slides beneath your shirt to cup your breast. His fingers find your nipple, tugging and rolling it as he begins to move, pulling out almost completely, his cock glistening with your arousal before he slams back into you.
The wet, obscene sound of your bodies meeting fills the room, spurring him on. Your hips rise to meet his, finding a rhythm together that has both of you moaning unabashedly, the desk creaking beneath you.
Your cries and his grunts blend into a symphony of lust.
“That’s right, baby,” he says through clenched teeth, his hand leaving your breast to shove your shirt up, exposing your bare skin to his hungry gaze. His pupils dilate as he watches the bounce of your tits with each thrust, his cock sawing in and out of you relentlessly. “Fucking take it. Take all of me.”
You grab his hand, guiding it back to your chest. “Don’t stop,” you plead, holding his palm over your breast as your second orgasm builds, hot and insistent. “More, Javi—give me more.”
He nearly growls, his hands roaming over you feverishly before wrapping his arm around your waist and pulling you upright. Your legs wrap around his hips, your arms clutching his shoulders as he fucks up into you. The change in angle is devastating, each thrust hitting deeper, making you go absolutely fucking crazy.
Your cries of his name are music to his ears, your nails raking down his back as your slickness drenches his cock, soaking the front of his thighs. His balls slap against your ass with every thrust, heavy with the promise of his release.
You bite down on his neck, your lips sucking at the spot he’d scolded you for earlier. He doesn’t stop you, though; if anything, the sharp sting of your teeth makes his own head spin. His hips snap harder, his breaths ragged against your ear. “Shit, amor—I’m close. But you first. I need to take care of you.”
Leaning back, you brace your palms on the desk, your hips swiveling against him as the tension inside you snaps. Your walls flutter and tighten around him, milking his cock as you gush, your release coating him in a creamy sheen.
“Javi!” you scream, your entire body trembling as you ride the wave of pleasure.
His dark brown eyes are glued to where your bodies are joined, watching the creamy ring of your slick coating his cock with every stroke. It’s too much for him, and he buries himself deep with a hoarse shout of your name, his thick, hot release spilling inside you in thick, satisfying spurts, filling you to the brim.
Both of you collapse against each other, breaths ragged and mingling as your high slowly fades. His cock softens inside you, but neither of you rushes to pull away.
“It just gets better every time,” he murmurs, his lips peppering affectionate kisses along your neck and jaw before capturing your lips in a tender kiss.
Your fingers tangle in his hair, scratching lightly at his scalp as he sighs contentedly. “Now,” you murmur, your voice soft and teasing, “will you come to bed?”
He pulls back just enough to brush his nose against yours, his lips curving into a smirk before stealing one last kiss. “Of course, mi amor.”

Of Butterflies and Backstrokes Part 15
And here we are at the end! It's been a wild and fun ride. Thank you to everyone who came with me on this journey!
@cryptid-system I hope my solution is as easy as yours ;)
We have the fallout from the cliffhanger, Steve taking that final step, and the truth comes out.
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 Part 7 Part 8 Part 9 Part 10 Part 11 Part 12 Part 13 Part 14
~
When they got there, it was already a mess. Eddie had caught Jason at his locker and when Chrissy provided evidence that he was told to do so by Billy, that pretty much stopped the whole fucking event.
It took two days to untangle the whole shitshow, but at the end, Jason was replaced by an alternate and Chrissy allowed to continue, but with strict instructions that if she so much as toed the line she would be removed too.
Chrissy readily agreed. She wanted to compete, she didn’t want to cheat.
But that got Eddie thinking and he discussed his theory with the judges. They agreed to look into it but that the games would continue as scheduled.
Eddie agreed that would probably be best.
When it was time for the first meet, for real this time, Eddie made a show of checking his starting block for any sign of sabotage.
“Eddie Munson, checking his block for any signs of tampering,” the announcer said. “With his coach being Steve Harrington and the attempt to get him out of the races for drug possession, he has a lot of reasons to be cautious.”
The other announcer burst out laughing. “Did he just kick it? Like one does a tire of a used car one is buying?”
“It appears he did,” the announcer said, grinning from ear to ear. “It makes for some good entertainment, though.”
“It does that, yes.”
Eddie looked up at the stands and gave Steve a thumbs up and Steve burst out laughing.
Then Eddie put his goggles on, lowered himself into the water and grasped the starting block. He settled in and waited for the horn. No gun shots here.
Then the horn blared and he was off like a shot, arching into the water the way that Steve always loved.
He was graceful and fluid. And he was way ahead of his peers.
Steve was on the edge of his seat. Wayne and Robin each had a hand on his shoulders as Eddie kept his lead. Steve glanced up at the timer, but it was no where near a world record. But at this point it didn’t matter. Slowly the three of them rose to their feet as he neared the end.
Then he touched the pad and the entire stadium roared to life.
“What an incredible performance!” the first announcer crowed. “First time Olympian, Eddie Munson has taken the first gold of the swimming games!”
“And what an amazing gold it was,” the second announcer agreed. “We have USA teammate Trent York in silver, and bronze medal to Itsuke Tohsaka for Japan!”
“Great work to the USA for that double win,” the announced concluded.
~
On the winner’s podium, Eddie took a bite out of the gold to make sure it was real and then held it above his head.
Steve was so excited, he was jumping up and down. Then he did the unexpected. He ran out to the field and kissed Eddie senseless as he hopped down from the podium and into Steve’s waiting arms.
Steve spun him around excitedly and then kissed him again.
“If that’s the reaction I get when I get gold I’m going to have to win a lot more of them,” Eddie teased.
“It won’t matter,” Steve murmured into his ear. “I’ll kiss you no matter how you fare.”
Eddie smacked his arm. “Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna watch my teammate propose to his girlfriend of three years.”
Steve turned to where, sure enough Trent York was getting down on one knee to ask his girlfriend to marry him.
“Ah...” he said with a deep blush. “Nothing to be jealous of there, then?”
Eddie gently pulled Steve’s gaze away from the happy scene. “Never, lover boy.” And kissed him to the roar of the crowd.
The poor Japanese kid was looking around because he didn’t know what to do. Then a fan came tearing through the crowd and promptly kissed him on the mouth.
The announcers were calling it the love games, much to Steve and Eddie’s absolute glee.
~
Eddie medalled in all five of his events with talks to see about joining some of the medley teams for greater diversity of his form.
After Eddie’s last gold medal, his third, he was approached by the Olympic community for the swimming. His other two were silver, beating out Steve’s first time.
“Mr. Munson,” the French judge said, “we wanted to thank you for bringing to our attention your suspicions of the 2008 games.”
Steve looked at Eddie in confusion. “What suspicions?”
“Steve,” Wayne said gravely, “it’s been the long-held belief of a lot of people for awhile now that your accident wasn’t an accident at all.”
“Of course it was,” he said, frowning. “They looked into it afterwards and there were no signs of tampering.”
The Olympic members looked around at each other abashedly.
“That’s not quite true,” the English Olympic member muttered, “it was deemed inconclusive.”
Steve’s eyes went wide. “Are you kidding me right now?”
“With Billy sabotaging Mr. Munson with the drugs,” the French Olympic member said, “he asked us to see if there was any indication he had done such things in the past.”
“Billy?” Steve said, feeling the rush of blood around his ears. “Oh god. I always thought there was more to what happened, but Billy?”
He sank to a crouch and put his head between his legs to ward off a faint. They led him over to a bench and Robin rushed to get him water.
“When we started looking into the matter,” the English Olympic member said, “a maintenance worker immediately came forward because he feared that he would lose his job if he didn’t.”
“Holy shit,” Eddie said, sitting down hard next to Steve. “I really didn’t think anything would come of this. But it’s assault, right?”
“Technically it’s battery,” the French Olympic member murmured, “but while the Olympic Community has the authority to strip Billy of his two bronze medals, we cannot do anything else because it happened in Tokyo.”
Steve shook his head. “No, no. I get it. Just knowing he’s to blame is enough. Knowing that I have answers for the first time in my life to what happened to me, is–is plenty.”
Just then Billy came storming up to them. “This all your fault, Harrington. You’ll pay for this. I’m the superior swimmer, you fucking coward.”
“So put your money where your mouth is,” Steve growled getting to his feet. “Right here, right now. You and me, 150m. They’ll judge,” he pointed to the two Olympic members. “But I am and will forever be your god.”
Robin and Eddie shared shocked glances. They both wanted to jump in and ask if Steve was sure, but Wayne put a hand on Eddie’s chest and shook his head.
Robin opened her mouth to protest, but she saw the firm lines of Steve’s jaw and knew. He had this.
“Go suit up,” the English Olympic member said with a curt nod. “I think Mr. Harrington deserves a rematch, don’t you Marie?”
The French Olympic member nodded. “Yes, Theodore, I do believe he does. I will send someone to get you the appropriate gear.”
“Steve would you mind changing in the women’s dressing room to prevent trouble?” Theodore asked.
Steve nodded. “That’s fine. It makes it easier because my assistant coach is a woman.”
The two members nodded and everyone went their separate ways, leaving Wayne and Eddie alone in the bleachers.
“I’m so worried, Uncle Wayne,” Eddie admitted as he clasped his hands together, leaning on his knees. He dropped his head between his shoulders with a heavy sigh.
“He’ll be fine,” Wayne soothed, rubbing Eddie’s back. “He needs to do this otherwise he’ll always be afraid. But if you’re so worried call Rhys.”
Eddie straightened up. “I didn’t know you were on a first name basis with Gareth’s dad.”
Wayne scoffed. “Kid, I’m on a first name basis with all your friends’ parents, considering how much trouble you lot tended to get up to.”
Eddie cocked his head to the side. “Yeah, okay that tracks.” He picked up his bag that Wayne had been holding on to.
After the incident with Jason and Billy, Eddie refused to use the lockers at all and just handed Wayne his stuff before every meet. He dug around his clothes until he found what he was looking for. His cell phone. He called up Dr. Hughes.
“Eddie!” Dr. Hughes greeted cheerfully. “To what do I owe this pleasure?”
So Eddie told him.
“I’m with Wayne on this one,” he said when Eddie was done. “But I appreciate your concern was enough that you reached out. He’ll be fine. Congrats on your relationship, though.”
Eddie snorted. “Of course he told you. But yeah, thanks. We don’t know what’s going to happen going forward, but we’re going to figure it out together.”
“He didn’t tell me anything, Ed,” Dr. Hughes said with a laugh. “I’m pretty sure the whole world saw that kiss.”
Eddie blushed and shoved a strand of hair in front of his face even though Dr. Hughes couldn’t see him.
“Oh, yeah.”
“Forgot about that little tidbit?” Dr. Hughes asked, slyly.
“It was a really good kiss,” he murmured.
Dr. Hughes laughed again. “Fair enough. Tell Steve good luck for me.”
“Will do.”
Eddie nearly dropped his phone when Steve came out. It was not the Steve he knew. The man in front of him oozed confidence and charm. The man who would be king.
He trotted up to him and licked his lips. “You don’t have to do this. You know you’re better than he is.”
Steve smirked. “Oh I do, but he doesn’t.”
Eddie huffed a laugh and helped him get all his hair under the cap. Then they walked over to the starting blocks. There was space between the two that Billy and he would use. It looked as though they were taking this very seriously.
“Butterfly?” Billy sneered. “I want to beat you at your best.”
“Butterfly it is,” Steve said with a nod. He pulled his goggles on and Billy pretended to rush him, but Steve didn’t even flinch. “I’ve faced scarier things than you in the last four years, you’re nothing.”
He turned on his heel and got up on the starting block. Billy did the same, without the swagger from before. Eddie would swear for years, he saw sweat bead on Billy’s temples as they waited for the horn.
Then it went off. They both dived into the water. And instantly, Eddie could tell the difference. Not just in form, but style too.
They watched and waited as they did their laps. Steve keeping a body’s length between Billy and him. Then it was the last lap and Steve surged ahead, outstripping Billy even further.
Steve tapped the plate well before Billy did and yanked off his goggles, whooping and cheering.
“Oh my god!” Chrissy screamed.
“Steve look up!” Robin called out.
At first Eddie didn’t understand what she was screaming about. Then he spotted it. “Steve, baby. I need you to look at your time.”
Steve looked at the judges first who were in shock. Then he looked over at Billy who looked completely devastated. He finally looked up at the time clock. A new world record.
“It can’t be counted because it wasn’t an official race,” Marie said. “But if you can replicated it, you have to have to come back to the sport. Especially with a time like that.”
“Hell yeah!” Steve cheered, pulling himself out of the pool. “I’m back, baby!”
Eddie rushed over and kissed him senseless the moment he was on his feet.
“Mr. Harrington there is the small matter of being Mr. Munson’s coach,” Theodore said, pained.
Robin raised her hand. “Hold on, what is the biggest concern with an athlete/coach relationship?”
The two judges exchanged glances.
“The power imbalance,” Marie said. “And especially considering the large gap between their ages it wouldn’t be appropriate.”
“But if we take into consideration Steve’s trauma and phobias,” Robin continued, “it wouldn’t be an imbalance.”
The judges didn’t look sure, especially after that performance.
“Trauma can crop back up at any time,” Robin said, “so this doesn’t mean he’s fixed.”
“Rob!” Steve chuckled. “There’s an easier way to do this, without upsetting these good people.”
She blinked at him for a moment. “Huh?”
“You coach us both!” he said with a laugh. “If we’re peers then there can’t be a power imbalance at all!”
“Oh!”
Everyone laughed.
~
Joyce handed Robin a box in front of Max, Eddie, and Steve. She opened the box and inside was a coach’s jacket with BUCKLEY in silver and black bold letters. She tried to hold back tears as Steve helped her put it on.
“You earned it,” he whispered, before going and standing next to Eddie.
“Just one more thing before you get started,” Joyce said with a smile. “Robin has decided to also have an assistant coach. May I introduce you to Coach Cunningham.”
Chrissy stepped out of the women’s locker room with a smile and shy little wave.
“I trust there won’t be any difficulties?” Joyce asked with a raised eyebrow.
Everyone shook their heads no.
Eddie put his arm around her shoulders. “So what made you decide to become a coach?”
“I decided I wasn’t cut out for the competition racket,” she said with a grin. “Billy showed me that.”
Eddie nodded.
“Plus there’s the fact that there are no rules against dating a fellow coach.”
Eddie barked out a laugh as Robin turned bright, bright red.
Oh yeah, Chrissy was going to fit in just fine.
Steve grabbed his arm. “Come on, I’ll race you to the pool!”
Eddie threw his head back and laughed and laughed, all the while Steve took off running. He shook his head and chased his boyfriend to the pool.
Thank god for Jim Hopper.

The city lights of Los Angeles seemed brighter than ever as you stood under them, your heart still racing from your unexpected encounter with Drew Starkey. Sitting in that backstage hallway felt like a fever dream—Drew, of all people, asking to make amends over a drink after accidentally hitting you with a door? The surrealism of it all lingered in your chest even as the noise of the premiere filtered faintly through the walls.
After a few minutes, Drew checked his phone and sighed. "Looks like I’m needed back out there soon," he said, glancing at you with a mix of regret and obligation. "But seriously, are you okay? I mean, if you’re not, we can get a medic or something."
You waved him off, feeling a little embarrassed by all the concern. “I’m fine, really. Just a bump and some bruised pride. I’ll survive.”
His lopsided grin made your pulse quicken. "Alright. But, uh..." He scratched the back of his neck, hesitating. “I wasn’t kidding about the drink. Give me your phone?”
Your eyebrows shot up, but you handed it over before you could second-guess yourself. He quickly typed in a number and handed it back to you, his name already saved in your contacts.
"Text me if you change your mind about the drink—or if you wake up tomorrow with a door phobia," he teased, his eyes sparkling.
You laughed, still trying to process how casually Drew fucking Starkey had just given you his number. "I’ll keep that in mind.”
He stood, offering you his hand to help you up. His grip was warm, firm, and grounding—almost enough to make you forget the chaos of the evening.
“Take care of yourself, Y/N,” he said, giving you one last look before slipping back into the madness of the premiere. You stood there for a moment, staring at the spot where he’d disappeared, the echo of his voice lingering in your mind.
⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯
By the time you found Ava, she was surrounded by a group of people, her face glowing as she scrolled through photos on her phone.
“There you are!” she squealed, rushing over and grabbing your arm. “Where have you been? I got selfies with everyone! Oh my God, you should’ve been there!”
You opened your mouth to explain but hesitated. How could you even begin to describe what had just happened? Would she believe you if you told her about your chance meeting with Drew—or would it sound too far-fetched, like some scene out of a cheesy romantic comedy?
“I, uh... got lost for a bit,” you said instead, offering a weak smile. “It’s kind of a madhouse here.”
Ava rolled her eyes, clearly too wrapped up in her own excitement to notice anything off. “Well, you missed out, babe. But don’t worry—we’ll hit another event soon. Now, let’s get out of here before my feet fall off from these heels.”
You nodded, following her toward the car. As you walked, you felt your phone buzz in your pocket. Curious, you pulled it out to see a text from an unknown number.
Unknown: "Hey, it’s Drew. Just checking in—hope your head’s okay. And seriously, no pressure about the drink. Take care!"
You couldn’t help the small smile that spread across your face. The evening had been chaotic, overwhelming, and completely out of your comfort zone—but it had also been unexpectedly thrilling.
As Ava chattered on about the celebrities she’d met, you tucked your phone back into your pocket, a newfound sense of curiosity bubbling inside you. Maybe LA was more than just a city of bright lights and endless possibilities. Maybe it was a place where the unexpected could turn into something extraordinary.
And as you drove back to Ava’s apartment, the glow of the city outside the car windows felt a little warmer, a little more inviting. For the first time, you wondered if this wild, unpredictable place might be exactly where you were meant to be.
⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯
The next morning, the sunlight streaming through Ava’s apartment window was merciless. Despite the curtains she had haphazardly tacked up, the rays found their way in, casting golden streaks across the room and directly into your eyes. You groaned, turning over on the futon, wishing for just a few more moments of sleep. But the events of last night wouldn’t let you rest.
You’d met Drew Starkey. Not just met him, but had a full-on moment with him. After he’d accidentally hit you with that door, he’d spent the better part of an hour making sure you were okay. You could still hear his voice, a mix of concern and easy charm, apologizing profusely while somehow making you feel less like a klutz and more like someone worth his time.
“Good morning, superstar!” Ava’s voice rang out as she burst into the room, her curls wild and her energy already at full throttle. She carried two mugs of coffee, setting one on the side table near your makeshift bed. “So, are you gonna tell me what happened, or do I have to harass you until you spill?”
You sat up, rubbing your eyes, the blanket pooling around your waist. “What do you mean?”
Ava rolled her eyes, plopping down on the edge of the futon. “Don’t play dumb. You disappeared for, like, an hour at the premiere, and then I find you casually chatting with Drew freakin’ Starkey backstage. What gives?”
You sighed, blowing on the coffee before taking a tentative sip. “It’s not what you think. I got hit in the face by a door. He opened the door. We talked. That’s it.”
Ava stared at you, her mouth slightly open, before she burst into laughter. “You got hit in the face by a door? At a premiere? By Drew Starkey? Babe, that’s not ‘just it.’ That’s iconic.”
You couldn’t help but smile, though your cheeks heated at her exaggerated reaction. “It’s not iconic. It’s embarrassing. But he was nice about it. Like, really nice. He even offered to take me out for a drink to make up for it.”
Ava’s eyes widened, and she nearly spilled her coffee. “He what? Are you serious? Did you say yes? Tell me you said yes.”
You hesitated, the memory of Drew’s offer replaying in your mind. “I... sort of said yes. But I think he was just being polite. It’s not like he’ll actually follow through.”
Ava gasped dramatically, clutching her chest. “Y/N, you cannot let this opportunity slip through your fingers! Do you know how many people would kill to be in your position right now? If he even texts you, you better reply in .02 seconds.”
You rolled your eyes, though you couldn’t help but laugh at her theatrics. “Okay, okay. I get it. But I’m not holding my breath.”
Ava grinned knowingly, her excitement palpable. “Fine. But if you don’t hear from him, we’ll find another way to make your LA experience unforgettable. Speaking of which, are you ready for today’s itinerary?”
You raised an eyebrow. “Should I be scared?”
“Probably,” Ava said with a wink, jumping up and grabbing her phone. “We’re doing a thrift crawl, hitting up a rooftop brunch, and then... maybe a little surprise at the end. Trust me, you’re gonna love it.”
Despite her cryptic tone, you couldn’t help but feel a spark of excitement. Ava had a way of making everything sound like an adventure, and maybe that was exactly what you needed.
⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯
The thrift stores were nothing like what you had back home. These weren’t just secondhand shops—they were curated collections of vintage treasures, each one like stepping into a different era. Ava was in her element, flipping through racks of clothing with practiced ease, holding up pieces for your approval.
“This is so you,” she said, holding up a floral sundress that looked like it had been plucked straight from the ’70s. “You need it. Trust me.”
You wrinkled your nose. “I don’t know... It’s a little... loud.”
“Loud is good,” Ava said, thrusting the dress into your arms. “You’re in LA now. Time to embrace the bold.”
By the time you left the store, your arms were full of bags, and your wallet was a little lighter, but you couldn’t deny that you felt good. There was something freeing about trying on new styles, stepping outside of your comfort zone. Maybe Ava was right—maybe LA was the perfect place to reinvent yourself.
⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯
As the day wound down, Ava finally revealed her surprise: a small, underground comedy show in a nondescript venue tucked away in a quiet part of town. The intimate setting, with its mismatched chairs and dim lighting, felt worlds away from the glitz and glamour of last night’s premiere, but it was exactly what you needed.
The comedians were hilarious, their jokes cutting through the haze of your lingering nerves and exhaustion. You laughed until your sides hurt, feeling lighter with each passing minute.
By the time you got back to Ava’s apartment, you were exhausted but happy. As you collapsed onto the futon, your phone buzzed on the side table.
You picked it up, your heart skipping a beat when you saw the name on the screen.
Drew: “Hey. How’s your head? I feel like I should check in after last night.”
A smile tugged at your lips, and you quickly typed back a response.
You: “Head’s fine. Ego’s a little bruised, though. Thanks for checking.”
The reply came almost instantly.
Drew: “Glad to hear it. So... about that drink I owe you. Are you free tomorrow night?”
You stared at the screen, rereading Drew’s message. It wasn’t real—this kind of thing didn’t happen in real life, not to someone like you. But there it was, clear as day, blinking back at you. A direct invitation from Drew Starkey.
Ava, who had been in the kitchen rummaging through the fridge, peeked her head into the living room. “Why are you smiling like that? You look like you’ve just been handed a winning lottery ticket.”
You glanced up at her, still clutching your phone. “He messaged me.”
“Who messaged you?” she asked, stepping closer.
“Drew.”
Ava’s jaw dropped, and in a flurry of movement, she dove onto the futon beside you, nearly knocking over your coffee. “Show me. Let me see.” She snatched the phone from your hands before you could protest, her eyes scanning the screen. “Oh my God. Oh. My. God. He’s asking you out for a drink.”
You grabbed the phone back, holding it protectively. “It’s not like that. He just feels bad about the door thing.”
Ava scoffed. “Girl, please. No one texts like that out of guilt. He’s into you. I’m telling you.”
Your cheeks flushed, but you shook your head. “It’s probably nothing. He’s just being nice.”
Ava flopped dramatically onto her back, throwing an arm over her eyes. “If you don’t say yes, I’m disowning you as my best friend. This is your moment, Y/N! Seize it!”
You bit your lip, your thumb hovering over the keyboard. You felt torn, excitement battling with apprehension. This was Drew Starkey—he probably had a million people vying for his attention. Why would he be interested in you?
Still, a part of you couldn’t resist the pull of curiosity. Before you could overthink it, you typed out a response.
You: “Tomorrow works. Where should we meet?”
The message sent, and you immediately felt a knot of nerves tighten in your stomach. Ava was practically bouncing beside you, her excitement infectious.
“What if I say something stupid?” you asked, voicing your worries aloud. “Or what if it’s awkward?”
Ava grabbed your shoulders, looking you square in the eyes. “First of all, you’re not going to say anything stupid because you’re amazing, and if he doesn’t see that, then he’s an idiot. Second, awkwardness is part of the charm. Just be yourself.”
You nodded, trying to absorb her confidence. Your phone buzzed again, and both of you leaned in to read the reply.
Drew: “There’s this place called Bar Stella. Low-key, great cocktails. 7 pm?”
Ava squealed. “He’s already planning it out. He’s definitely into you.”
You rolled your eyes but couldn’t suppress the smile spreading across your face. “Okay, okay. But what do I wear?”
Ava grinned, her eyes lighting up with a mischievous glint. “Oh, I’ve got just the thing. Tomorrow, we’re turning you into a knockout.”
⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯
The next day felt like it dragged on forever. Every hour seemed to stretch into eternity as you counted down the minutes until 7 pm. Ava, true to her word, helped you pick out an outfit—a sleek black jumpsuit that hugged your figure in all the right places, paired with simple gold jewelry and a pair of strappy heels. She even insisted on doing your hair and makeup, transforming you into someone who actually looked like they belonged in LA.
As you stood in front of the mirror, you barely recognized yourself. “What if he doesn’t like it?” you asked, smoothing down the fabric of the jumpsuit.
Ava waved off your concern. “If he doesn’t, he’s blind. You look stunning.”
With a final pep talk from Ava, you grabbed your bag and headed out. The ride to Bar Stella felt surreal, the city lights blurring past as your nerves built. When you arrived, you hesitated outside the door, taking a deep breath before stepping inside.
The bar was exactly as Drew had described—low-key and intimate, with warm lighting and a laid-back atmosphere. You scanned the room, your heart skipping a beat when you spotted him at a corner table. He looked effortlessly cool, dressed in a casual button-down and dark jeans, his hair slightly tousled.
When his eyes met yours, he smiled and stood, waving you over. “Hey, you made it.”
“Hey,” you said, hoping your voice sounded steadier than you felt. “Nice choice. This place is great.”
He grinned, gesturing for you to sit. “Figured it’d be better than some loud club. Thought we could actually talk.”
As you sat across from Drew, the candlelight casting warm shadows across the table, the nerves that had gripped you earlier melted away bit by bit. It surprised you how natural it felt, talking to him like this—like he wasn’t some rising star in Hollywood but just a regular guy, charming and down-to-earth.
“So,” he said, leaning back in his chair with a casual ease that made you envious, “you moved to LA recently. What brought you here? Chasing dreams, or are you just a glutton for punishment like the rest of us?”
You laughed, swirling the cocktail in your hand. “A little of both, maybe. I’ve always wanted to see if I could make it here, you know? I just needed to get out of my hometown, take a chance on something bigger.”
Drew nodded, his blue eyes focused entirely on you. “I get that. This city has a way of drawing people in—whether for the right reasons or not.”
“What about you?” you asked. “Was acting always the dream, or did you fall into it by accident?”
He smirked, resting his elbow on the table. “A bit of both. I always loved movies growing up, but I didn’t think acting was something I could actually do. It felt... unattainable. But then I got cast in a play in high school, and I guess I caught the bug. The rest just kind of snowballed from there.”
You leaned forward, intrigued. “What was the play?”
He laughed, the sound warm and unguarded. “Oh, it was terrible. Some community theater production of Our Town. I played George. My performance was so bad my parents were convinced I’d never make it past that stage.”
You giggled, picturing a younger, awkward Drew stumbling through lines. “I’m sure it wasn’t that bad. I mean, look where you are now.”
“Debatable,” he teased, but his expression softened. “Honestly, though, it’s been a crazy ride. Some days I still feel like I’m just waiting for someone to tap me on the shoulder and tell me it’s all been a mistake.”
You nodded, appreciating his vulnerability. “Imposter syndrome?”
“Big time,” he admitted. “It’s weird, right? You work so hard to get somewhere, and then when you’re there, you wonder if you deserve it.”
“I get that,” you said quietly. “I feel like that all the time, even just being here in LA. Like I don’t quite belong.”
Drew’s gaze softened, and for a moment, the bustling energy of the bar seemed to fade into the background. “I think you belong more than you realize,” he said. “You just have to give yourself some credit.”
The sincerity in his voice made your cheeks flush. You sipped your drink to cover the reaction, trying to suppress the smile tugging at your lips.
The conversation shifted to lighter topics as the night went on—favorite movies, embarrassing childhood stories, the best and worst things about growing up in small towns. Drew animatedly described a disastrous family camping trip that ended with a raccoon stealing their food, and you laughed so hard your sides hurt.
“You’re kidding,” you said between giggles. “A raccoon? Like, the actual animal?”
“Swear to God,” Drew said, holding up three fingers in a Scout’s honor gesture. “It just waddled into our campsite like it owned the place, grabbed the bag of marshmallows, and ran off. My dad was so mad, he spent the rest of the trip setting up elaborate ‘traps’ that never worked.”
You shook your head, still laughing. “That’s amazing. My family’s trips were never that eventful. Just a lot of awkward silences and badly cooked hotdogs.”
“Sounds like a rite of passage,” Drew said, grinning. “Maybe we should recreate it sometime. Bring some marshmallows and see what happens.”
The casual suggestion caught you off guard, a flicker of something hopeful stirring in your chest. But before you could dwell on it, he gestured toward the bartender. “Another round?”
“Sure,” you said, realizing you didn’t want the night to end.
As he ordered, you took a moment to look around the bar. The ambiance was cozy and unpretentious, a mix of quiet conversation and soft background music. It was the kind of place you never would have found on your own, and you found yourself silently thanking Drew for suggesting it.
When he returned with the drinks, he slid yours across the table with a playful smile. “So, what’s one thing about you I wouldn’t guess just by looking?”
You raised an eyebrow. “That’s a dangerous question.”
“Come on,” he urged, leaning forward. “I’ll even go first. Let’s see... I once auditioned for a role by rapping the entire Fresh Prince theme song. Didn’t get the part, but I nailed the performance.”
Your jaw dropped, and you burst out laughing. “No way. You have to prove it now.”
“Oh no,” he said, shaking his head. “That’s a one-time deal. The world wasn’t ready for it then, and it’s not ready now.”
“Coward,” you teased, and he laughed, the sound lighting up his whole face.
“All right, your turn,” he said, pointing at you.
You thought for a moment, then grinned. “I can recite every line of The Princess Diaries from memory.”
His eyebrows shot up. “Every line? That’s impressive.”
“And slightly embarrassing,” you admitted. “It was my comfort movie growing up. My parents used to joke that they didn’t need a TV as long as I was around.”
Drew’s smile softened. “I think that’s awesome. Plus, it’s a great movie.”
The two of you fell into an easy rhythm, trading stories and jokes until the clock ticked past midnight. You hadn’t even realized how late it had gotten until the bartender subtly dimmed the lights, signaling closing time.
As you stepped outside into the cool night air, Drew turned to you, his hands tucked into his pockets. “I had a really great time tonight.”
“Me too,” you said, your breath visible in the chill. “Thanks for inviting me out.”
He hesitated for a moment, as if considering his next words carefully. “Would it be okay if I called you sometime? Maybe we can do this again?”
Your heart skipped a beat, and you nodded, unable to hide your smile. “Yeah, I’d like that.”
Drew’s smile widened, and he gave a small nod, as if sealing the deal. “Good. Text me when you get home, okay? Just so I know you made it safe.”
“I will,” you promised, and with one last glance, he walked away, his silhouette fading into the city lights.
You stood there for a moment, the events of the night replaying in your mind. As you turned to head home, the smile on your face refused to fade. Maybe, just maybe, LA was starting to feel like home after all.

Sweet Little Death (Lucanis/Rook; explicit)
by eiluned
Read it on AO3
Info: Explicit, Lucanis/Rook, no Veilguard spoilers, set after the romance soft lock scene. THERE WAS ONLY ONE BED.
Summary: There was only one bed. Clearly Lucanis can’t share it with Rook without losing what’s left of his sanity.
Notes: Thank you to Amanda for coming up with the idea even though she hasn’t played Veilguard yet and has just been on the business end of my hyperfixation firehose. And enormous thanks to Amanda and Trina for beta reading!
Please enjoy the fruits of my 1 am writing binge. Feedback makes me happy. <3
-
There was only one unused guest room in the House of Valor, at least according to Isabela, but they were welcome to it.
Lucanis made sure his expression was set to stony-faced acceptance and followed Rook as she led him through the warren of hallways. Taash had decided to stay with their mother, and hopefully that wouldn’t end in her house going up in a blaze of dragon fire. But sharing a room with Rook was the more pressing concern in his mind.
“Here it is,” she said, unlocking a rather nondescript door and pushing it open.
The only guest room available in the House of Valor had only one bed.
They both stood in the doorway for an awkward moment, Rook blushing slightly and Lucanis trying to tamp down a vague sense of panic at the sleeping arrangements. “Well,” Rook finally said, stepping into the room, “This is cozy?”
The room was perfectly fine, cozy even, but the fact of the matter was still that it had one bed. Just one. And clearly they couldn’t share it without Lucanis losing what was left of his sanity.
“You take the bed,” he said, closing and bolting the door behind himself. “I’ll sleep on the…”
He looked around to see a small table, two very straight-backed wooden chairs and very little else in the way of furniture.
“The floor?” Rook said skeptically, dropping her pack beside the door. “The cold stone floor? Lucanis, don’t be ridiculous. You look dead on your feet; you need to sleep. We can share the bed.”
His stomach swooped at the thought, and he felt Spite’s interest stir. “No, the floor is fine,” he said a little too quickly, and Rook cocked an eyebrow at him, the ghost of a smirk on her lips. “Or the chair,” he added a bit lamely.
Rook looked from the bed to the chair to the floor and then back to him before shaking her head. “Suit yourself,” she said, shrugging and starting to remove her armor.
Someone dropped off food and ale, and they ate in a silence which was only slightly awkward. It was already late, and it had been a long day fighting Antaam on the beaches. Rook stretched, raising her arms and arching her back in a way that made her shirt stretch enticingly over her breasts.
“YES YES,” Spite rasped in the back of his mind, and Lucanis made an effort to stare at the table until her stretch was done.
“Fuck, I’m exhausted,” she said, hauling herself to her feet. “I’m going to turn in. When the chair or the floor or whatever gets too uncomfortable, just nudge me over and take your half of the bed.”
There was absolutely nothing sexual in what Rook had said, but Lucanis’s mind immediately went to skin against skin, his arms around her and her legs around him, the scent of her overwhelming his senses. He stared very hard at the table, gripping his fork so hard he thought he might bend it, as Spite started up a litany of all of the dirty things he wanted to do to Rook.
“You all right?”
He jumped at her question and found her giving him a look of concern. “I’m fine,” he replied, making an effort to relax his posture. “Spite is acting up.”
Rook gave him a little smile that made his stomach flip. “Tell him I said to behave,” she said, climbing into the bed. “Wake me if disaster strikes.”
She fell asleep quickly, leaving Lucanis to awkwardly move the chairs around so he could prop up his feet and attempt to sleep. It was a little ridiculous, how awkward he felt around Rook. He was never awkward; he strove to be cool and collected no matter the circumstances, but Rook… She was beautiful, yes, but also clever and funny and kind, to everyone but especially to him. He was used to being treated with deference or wariness or fear, but not kindness.
And he wasn’t entirely sure what to say in response to her flirty little comments. He wanted to kiss her, to be completely honest with himself, but they hadn’t discussed their near-kiss in the pantry since it happened. He just assumed he had fucked that up and resolved to pretend it hadn’t happened.
Of course, pretending didn’t keep him from wanting her so badly it made his body ache.
Scowling at himself, he crossed his arms over his chest and closed his eyes, trying to ignore the chair back digging into his shoulder blades.
-
It took two hours of uncomfortable dozing for Lucanis to give up.
Rook was right; he was painfully tired after too many nights of hardly any sleep, and he would be useless in the morning if he didn’t get some decent rest. Sighing in frustration, he got to his feet and went to stand beside the bed.
It was wider than his cot in the pantry, but it certainly didn’t seem to have been built with two sleepers in mind. Rook was curled up on her side close to the far edge, and there seemed to be enough blanket for the two of them. Lucanis was a compact man, but he still wasn’t sure there was enough room in that bed for them to sleep without touching. And touching seemed… dangerous.
“TOUCH HER. WANT. TO FEEL,” Spite hissed in his head.
“Shut up,” he muttered back, lifting the blanket so he could slide under it.
The bed was made of a net of ropes tied to the frame with a mattress on top, and when he settled his weight in, everything rolled toward the middle. Rook murmured in her sleep as her body shifted, and Lucanis froze for a second, hoping she wouldn’t wake. When she didn’t, he grabbed the edge of the frame and hauled himself over, making sure no part of his body was touching hers.
“TOUCH HER. COWARD.”
He ignored the demon in his head and closed his eyes, sinking swiftly into sleep.
-
It was the best sleep he’d had in as long as he could remember. He was remarkably settled, with no nightmares that lingered.
He slowly came awake, breathing in a sweet scent, warm and comfortable, and he thought for a second about just falling back asleep and staying there as long as he could.
“SMELLS GOOD,”Spite purred in his ear. “SO WARM.”
Awareness shot through Lucanis like a lightning bolt. He and Rook had somehow rolled together during the night, and he was currently spooned up against her back. Her body was tucked against his from head to toe with his arm slung around her waist, and to his utter mortification, his groin was firmly pressed against her ass, his cock hard as a rock.
“STAY,” Spite hissed, looming over him. “TOUCH HER.”
Lucanis didn’t dare answer his demon for fear he’d wake Rook. And he did want to touch her, to keep touching her like this. It was intoxicating, the feel of her in his arms, the scent of her hair in his nose, the heat of their bodies mingling through the layers of their clothing.
But it was definitely not right to be this close to grinding his erection against her, not while she was sleeping, and despite Spite’s protests, he started to slowly disengage. But Rook sighed and caught his wrist in her hand, pulling his arm more tightly around her. He froze, and she sighed again, wiggling a little as if trying to get closer to him.
“I can tell you’re awake,” she murmured, and he could feel her chuckle when he jumped in surprise. “You don’t have to move. If you don’t want to, I mean.”
He sucked in a somewhat shaky breath, which was a mistake as it filled his nose even more fully with her scent. “Mierda,” he groaned, pressing his face into her hair. “This is a bad idea.”
Rook’s hand snaked back to his hip, her fingers digging in as she pushed herself more firmly against his body. “Doesn’t feel bad to me,” she said, and he could hear the smirk in her voice.
“You are going to kill me.”
“Mm, but won’t it be a sweet little death?”
Brushing her hair out of the way, he pressed his lips against the nape of her neck, tongue darting out to taste her. It was her turn to gasp, her grip on him tightening as she rolled her hips against his. “Tell me to stop,” he whispered, propping himself up on his elbow so he could better pepper kisses across her skin to the tender spot just below her ear.
“NO. DON’T STOP,” Spite growled, but Lucanis pushed him to the back of his mind.
“Don’t stop,” Rook moaned, arching in to him, echoing Spite even though she couldn’t have heard him.
Lucanis was utterly lost. His objections, no matter how logical they may have been before he was in bed with Rook, vanished into nothingness. He wanted her so desperately, and she wanted him, something that still baffled him. But she was there, in his arms, pressed against him, wanting him, and the why didn’t matter anymore.
Twisting in his arms, Rook pressed her lips to his, her hand sinking into his hair, and oh, was he thoroughly lost.
He kissed her hungrily, and she met him with enthusiasm, tilting her head to let him kiss her more deeply, hooking her leg over his hip. She arched against him when he slid his hand under her shirt and over the soft skin of her stomach, up to cup her breast.
“Yes,” she breathed against his lips, whimpering when he rubbed his thumb across her hard nipple.
Her own hands were busy unbuttoning his shirt, and he stopped touching her just long enough to yank it off his arms and toss it to the floor while she whipped hers over her head, leaving her hair wild around her face. The oil lamp he’d forgotten to extinguish gave off enough light for him to see that her cheeks were flushed, her pupils dilated, and he didn’t think he had ever seen anything so beautiful in his life.
She pressed herself against him again, kissing him deeply, her hands roaming over his bare chest and down to the waistband of his trousers. Her pants and underwear slipped down over her hips easily, and she kicked them off, somehow managing to unfasten his trousers at the same time.
His pants hit the floor, and then they were gloriously naked, skin pressed against hot skin. She wrapped her arms around his shoulders and her legs around his hips, pulling him on top of her, and Maker, she really was going to be the death of him.
Lucanis trailed a series of sucking kisses across her jaw and down her neck, enjoying the way she shivered underneath him when he brushed his beard against her skin. She arched when he licked at one nipple, her legs tightening around his ribs, and oh, that was a nice reaction. Closing his lips around the stiff nub, he suckled at her, and that reaction was even better; she writhed against him, her breath coming in quick gasps.
Switching to the other breast, he gave it the same treatment and groaned as she sank her hands into his hair, her fingernails grazing his scalp deliciously. “L-Lucanis,” she whimpered, shuddering when he tugged at her nipple gently with his teeth. “Please…”
“TASTES GOOD,” Spite rasped inside his head. “SO GOOD. WANT TO. FUCK HER.”
The shared thought made his cock throb, but he didn’t want to rush into that just yet. “I want to taste you,” he purred, lifting up enough to kiss her mouth deeply again. “Can I taste you?”
“I will murder you if you don’t,” Rook replied with a breathless laugh, and he grinned at her as he slid down her body.
There wasn’t enough room on the bed, so he slipped off to kneel on the floor and pulled her toward him so that her hips were right at the edge. She opened her legs eagerly for him, and he let his eyes feast on the sight of her spread open for him, her folds glistening with wetness in the lamplight. Propping herself up on her elbows, she met his eyes, catching her bottom lip between her teeth, and holding her gaze, he dipped his head and slowly licked up the line of her cunt.
He was admittedly not experienced with this sort of thing. His only real sexual experience had been a few fumbling attempts years before, and after that he had been just too busy or focused or…
“AFRAID,” Spite added helpfully, and Lucanis swore silently at the demon.
But inexperience be damned, Lucanis was observant, his attention to detail superb, his instincts finely honed. And he had read a ridiculous number of rather explicit romances, so he thought he had a good idea of what he needed to do.
Using his thumbs to gently part her folds, he licked her again, dipping his tongue inside of her, and Rook collapsed onto her back, crying out as he dragged his tongue up to lap at her swollen pearl.
His finely honed instincts told him to keep doing that.
In seconds, her body had tensed like a bowstring, her heels pushing against the bedframe, her hands coming down to fist in his hair in an effort to keep him where she clearly wanted him to be. With a hum of pleasure at the taste of her, he closed his lips around her pearl, sucking gently. She cried out again, her hips coming off of the mattress, and he grabbed her ass with both hands, holding her against his mouth so he could devour her.
“DELICIOUS. TART HONEY,” Spite rumbled, and for once, Lucanis was in complete agreement with his demon; Rook was the best thing he had ever tasted.
“Don’t stop, don’t stop,” she moaned, her fingers tightening in his hair, her body shaking as he flicked his tongue over the sensitive nub. “Please don’t stop, Lucanis, please…”
Looking up her body, he met her eyes, and wildly, that seemed to be what pushed her over the edge. She shuddered hard, her thighs tightening almost painfully around his head, and he sucked at her as she came against his tongue.
It was so good that he nearly came, even without a touch.
Her thighs eventually slacked and she released his hair, squirming away from his mouth with a breathless laugh. “Stop, stop,” she gasped, pushing herself back up onto her elbows. “It’s too much, too good.”
Taking a few deep breaths to get himself under control, he pressed an open-mouthed kiss against her inner thigh, enjoying the way she sighed, her eyes slipping shut for a second. They opened again when he climbed onto the mattress, catching her under her arms to pull her back up to the head of the bed, and she smiled up at him lazily. She was soft and pliant under his touch, her thighs parting again so he could settle between them, and she pulled him down into a kiss that took his breath away.
His cock strained away from his body, and when she hooked her heels around the backs of his thighs, it pressed against the slick heat of her cunt. Oh, he wasn’t going to last long, and he hoped he didn’t embarrass himself too badly.
“Are you ready?” he asked breathlessly.
“If you’re not inside of me in the next five seconds—” she began.
He laughed and pushed steadily into the wet, gripping heat of her.
“—oh fuck,” she finished, the word drawn out on a moan.
When he was buried to the hilt, he had to stay perfectly still for a moment. He had never imagined it would feel so incredible to be inside of her, and he really was going to embarrass himself if he couldn’t get himself under control.
“TIGHT AND HOT. AND GOOD. SO GOOD,” Spite rasped, and Lucanis buried his face in Rook’s hair, gasping when she hitched her legs a little higher on his hips.
Her arms wrapped around him, pulling him down onto her fully, and that contact nearly did him in. “Be still, mi tesoro,” he rumbled, his heart pounding in his ears.
Thankfully she mostly obeyed, just tightening her arms around him. Nuzzling his jaw, she pressed her face against the side of his neck, her own breath stuttering into her lungs as they adjusted to the feel of each other.
“Maker, you feel so good,” she whispered, her lips brushing against his earlobe.
It didn’t matter if he had himself under control or not; his hips rocked against hers, his cock slipping out and back into her. With a groan, he took her mouth in a kiss again, stroking his tongue against hers, sliding one arm under her shoulders to hold her against his chest. He cupped her cheek with the other hand, pressing his forehead against hers when they broke apart to gasp for breath.
She gazed up at him, right into his eyes, and he was drowning in her. Her hips lifted into his thrusts, her body taking him in so perfectly, and her fingers gripped his back, holding him tightly as he lost himself in her. He held onto his control by his fingernails, wanting this to last longer but hurtling inevitably toward the sweetest oblivion.
“It’s all right,” she murmured, kissing him deeply, holding him even tighter. “You can let go, Lucanis.”
He hadn’t realized he’d needed to hear that until the words fell from her lips. All of the tension in him, all of the anxiety and fear and desperation, suddenly snapped.
Throwing his head back, he shouted out her name. Spasms wracked him, his cock throbbing as he spilled deep inside her welcoming body. She pressed wet kisses against the corded line of his neck, murmuring encouragement and pleasure and sweet nothings, holding him as he slowly came back into himself. It was like dying and being reborn in a burst of fire, and he had never felt anything like it before.
They lay there for a long moment, kissing languidly, her hands caressing him so gently. He hadn’t dreamed it could be so good, nor that he needed this so badly. He needed the release of their bodies coming together so intimately. He needed the acceptance of her embrace, her kisses, her soft eyes meeting his, and her smiles and her affection. And he didn’t know if he would be able to live without it after this night.
When his softening cock slipped free from her body, Rook nudged him to roll to the side and got up from the bed, padding into the little adjoining privy. Lucanis suddenly felt awkward again; what the hell was he supposed to do? Did she leave because she needed to get away?
“STOP THINKING,” Spite grumbled. “JUST WAIT.”
A moment later, she came back into the room, still gloriously naked, her hair spilling over her shoulders and her hips swaying with each step. He gasped in shock when a wet cloth smacked into his chest, and she laughed in delight. “So that’s how to catch you by surprise,” she teased, climbing back onto the bed. “Just walk around naked, and you’re so distracted that you’d never see it coming.”
“I’d be happy to see you coming,” he teased back, sitting up.
“Oh, I see you’ve regained your faculties,” she said with a grin, unabashedly watching as he cleaned himself up with the cloth. “Should I be on my guard for more seductive banter?”
The cloth landed on the floor with a splat, and he pressed his lips against hers, loving the way she moaned and melted into his kiss.
Rook curled up against him, pulling the blanket over their entwined bodies, and she quickly fell asleep with her cheek resting on his chest. Her hair smelled so sweet, and her body was warm and soft against his, wrapped around him, relaxed and comfortable like she was at home in his arms. The demon in him purred in contentment, settled like he had never been before.
Lucanis was so lost.
But maybe he needed to be.
