SPOILERS if you haven't seen this week's episode obviously
We start off the episode with this shot of Superman with the drawn on glasses. A good homage to what Lois did in the 1980 Superman II movie...
where she not only drew the glasses but also a full suit and hat on a picture of Superman.
Next we see Jimmy waking up and seeing someone debunking his conspiracy theories on Sub-Diego.
Sub Diego was an actual place in the DC universe before the New 52 reboot. In Aquaman #15 and #16 (2003) , shown here (W: Will Pfeifer, P: Patrick Gleason, I: Christian Alamy, C: Nathan Eyring, L: Jared K. Fletcher for issue 15, Nick Napolitano for issue 16). The underwater city is actually San Diego, but is buried underwater thanks to a tidal wave and makes its first appearance in Aquaman #15 (2003). There was a lot of casualties from this.
When we get to our title its "You Will Believe A Man Can Lie" a reference to the tagline for the 1978 Superman movie.
As seen here on the poster, it says "You'll believe a man can fly".
Next we see our villain, well one of the villains, for the episode, Heatwave.
In the comics Heatwave makes his first appearance in Flash 140 (1963) (cover art by Carmine Infantino, Murphy Anderson, and Ira Schnapp). Heatwave aka Mick Rory is a Flash rogue usually acting as a rival to Captain Cold aka Leonard Snart. In MAwS, their Heatwave shares the same last name and powers, but MAwS Heatwave is gender flipped. You might have seen Heatwave in the CW DC comics shows where he is played by Dominic Purcell in The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow.
Lois, later in the episode, name drops Heatwave's name. Gotta be honest when Heatwave showed up I was like is that Rampage? Cuz the MAwS design looks vaguely like Rampage.
If she does show up in MAwS, I'll talk more about her in another post, but for now, Rampage aka Karen Lou "Kitty" Faulkner, makes her first appearance in Superman #7 (1987) (full page here: W&P: John Byrne, I: Karl Kesel, C: Tom Ziuko, L: John Costanza).
Steve drags Jimmy to film his debunking Flamebird videos and references Starro who I talked about here.
Lois, later runs around with the Daily Planet police scanner trying to catch Superman and the dispatcher reports that a robbery is in progress at McGuinness Luxe Garage.
This is a nice reference to Ed McGuinness who was the artist for Superman, Action Comics, and Superman/Batman in the early 2000s. If you've seen Superman/Batman: Public Enemies, then you'll know the movie takes inspiration from his character designs in the first arc of the Superman/Batman comic series. The Superman/Batman #1 (2003) cover here is done by Ed McGuinness, Dexter Vines, and Dave Stewart. I like Ed McGuinness's pencils, very stylized.
Heatwave name drops Livewire and the Gazzo mod family. Both of whom I've talked about here and here respectively
Heatwave has been running away from Deathstroke here who has been taking our her crew. Notice that Slade Wilson doesn't have the half black half orange helmet yet that almost every Deathstroke depiction always has.
He, Amanda Waller, and the General who I totally think is General Sam Lane, Lois's dad, are fans of DBZ cuz of the scouters they're wearing.
Later in the scene we see the General again he's totally General Sam Lane. I'll talk more about him when we get a double confirmation through a name drop/reveal in a later post calling Amanda Waller, Mandy. What a fucking bold thing to say to Waller! Like damn! power move right there!
Superman and Deathstroke are fighting under a highway and we see the traffic is heading to Bludhaven!
Very good reference to my favorite character in all of pop culture, Dick Grayson aka Nightwing. Nightwing makes Bludhaven his city to protect. The city makes its first appearance in Nightwing #1 (1996) (the panel here - W: Chuck Dixon, P: Scott McDaniel, I: Karl Story, C: Roberta Tewes, L: John Costanza). Fun Bludhaven fact, its crime rate is WORST than Gotham! Also HIGHLY recommend reading the new Nightwing run cuz its fucking amazing! Won a few Eisner Awards (think the Oscars but for comic books) recently and I am not just saying that because I am a Dick Grayson fan.
Near the end of the episode, we see Lois willing to jump off a building to prove that Clark is Superman. A lot of discourse was happening online over this, but I do want to say this is pretty on brand for her to do.
In Superman II, Lois does something similar and Clark saves her. its just in MAwS, Clark flies to save her thus ruining the secret identity, while in Superman II, Clark does save her but he is still able to get away with it thanks to him playing it more subtly.
Don't know why people we're in such a fucking fit over something that Lois has done before.
In the after credits scene, Jimmy, who planned a sasquatch finding adventure with Lois and Clark, but they were dealing with their shit and Jimmy was by himself, decides to do the finding on his own and meets a giant gorilla. In the first episode Jimmy mentions an intelligent gorilla in France and my guess is this is Monsieur Mallah. You can read more about him here. If you made it this far down, I appreciate you taking the time to check this post out and if you want to see my other MAwS Easter Eggs posts - Episode 1 is here

What got you into dragon age? Tell me about your Hero of Fereldon. I want to hear about your grey warden. I know they all have "set backstories", but I personally like to add small details and add a little spice.
Tell me about their personality. Who did you romance? Or did you make like an OC to be perfect for them? Is there drama? Tell me the drama, I want to hear it. Nobody I know plays Dragon Age, and nobody wants to hear my rants.
Personally, I always play a Dalish elf. Because I'm native, it just kinda feels right for me. Like I can relate to the elves a lot. Even like, the city elves are essentially just put on reservations. I want to try a Dwarven playthrough, but it's really really hard for me to stray from routine. I've been a Dalish rogue main since I was 7, and Dragon age was the first game I was allowed to pick from the family video myself.
I know I usually post bg3 stuff, but the realms of Thedas are and always will be my first love, I can't break from my roots.

So I stayed up ungodly late last night playing through the Cazador quest/conclusion (?) of the Astarion romance and I have a lot of thoughts!
Overall, I LOVED it. Absolutely loved it. I love how much he has to say about the mansion, I love the design and weirdly oppressive layout of the space, the sinister door, the annoying button/attic puzzle, his relationship with Go...dey? The bone man! When I saw that room was called the kennel I literally said "oh no" out loud.
The one thing I'm mad at myself about is that I didn't understand how to actually get into the stupid palace to start the quest! I couldn't get up that dirt incline right next to the map marker so I thought I had to get into the upper city via Baldur's Gate on the left--that the palace was in the next area altogether--so I've been dithering about with murderers and Lae'zel getting kidnapped (D:! she's safe now though) and hag children and a million other things WHEN I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLING CAZADOR THIS WHOLE TIME. Harrumph.
Anyway, once I actually made it into the darned palace, I didn't have any trouble at all with the fights until I got to Cazador himself. I did think the ritual skull on the pillow was a nice touch, and I loved the confrontation with Sebastian in the cell, just in case the PC has any doubt left about how sane/human these spawn still are. Seven thousand souls! That's so many!! Seven is a lot, but seven thousand, yikes! There was also one room with some levers at the end of the tedious attic puzzle that appeared to have no purpose; I guess it was unfinished from the design stage, as dozens of Reddit threads/forum posts all agree there's no clear puzzle solution or interactable element. Really, the first design misstep I've seen from the game, and even that was pretty minor!
Then came the confrontation with Cazador, and for all I didn't even get touched in the werewolf fight earlier this fight WRECKED me. I didn't understand the mechanic and got everyone sacrificed for the ritual the first time (was focusing on the adds first), and then the second time I checked the journal and it said "Help Astarion" and so I wasted two turns getting to him only to discover they meant "help Astarion by killing Cazador," not "free Astarion with the Help action" because that sure didn't work, so he got sacrificed again! Then the third time I focused Cazador better until he Called Lightning on Shadowheart and Karlach and killed them both, and then I finally scraped it out on the fourth try. A really, really tough fight! If I didn't have the six summoned ghouls from the Thay book I don't know if I could have done it with this party.
The choices available afterwards are FASCINATING. I played through them all again, and I loved that in every version he absolutely butchers that vamp with as much violent stabbing as I've seen in a video game. And that little flip of the knife to the reverse grip! So deft! He's a rogue! It's like there's thought and care behind these animations!! Incredible! The choices where you don't help him are absolutely awful--the enraged venom in "I'd say good luck out there, but honestly, I hope you die screaming"--and the flat "Your companion has permanently left the party" made my stomach clench. The version where you help him ascend is also horrifying; are there many other quests where both companions are like, "this is a HORRIBLE IDEA, don't do this!!"? And afterwards Karlach said something about "all those souls..." and she looked like she was about to cry, which was the second worst thing in the world aside from the time I had to break up with her because I didn't realize we were dating. Everything is red and evil and we get nice close-up views of the spawn in agony and bursting and then Astarion's eyes glow red as sin forever. I did really like the explicit confirmation that the infected can use the parasites to see out of each other's eyes; that's given me a couple fic ideas already!
I will say the scene of him crying & screaming was unspeakably cathartic and I was yelling at the screen to let me hug him. YELLING. Thank God I live alone! Again, the tenor differences between this scene in the "insight/persuade him to be better than Cazador" track vs. the "flatly deny to help him" track were shocking. I can't believe how different the exact same animation set felt between the two versions! Unbearable relief & grief vs. total impotent despair--no wonder he tries to kill you in a few of the bad endings (on top of deciding on his own to snap the staff & trap the spawn forever).
Regardless, once the ritual was disrupted and the spawn were saved and freed and Cazador was a lolling pincushion, I couldn't figure out how to trigger the follow-up scene I KNEW had to be there, even though I'd already done Shadowheart's personal quest & should have known I needed to long-rest, lmao. I wandered around like a dope for several minutes before finally triggering it.
I really, really liked this romance scene a lot. I liked that there isn't even an option to break up at this point; just like ME3, the romance is locked in and you can just play around inside that structure, which I thought was fantastic! I am sad that it opened with what I expected, which is him resigning himself to eventually being trapped in the darkness & never seeing sunlight again, and the fact that the game let you pick "maybe we'll figure something out with the tadpoles" only for Astarion to express doubt does make me worried for long-term outcomes. My favorite options once you get to the graveyard were to just stay back and let him talk, but I'm honestly really delighted that we got this scene of pretty significant emotional closure for him, and I loved the animation of him carving the year into the headstone. It seemed so immersive & real that even though we can't read the text, we know exactly what he did.
The only incredibly, incredibly, INCREDIBLY minor things I didn't adore about this scene are that first, when he tells you he loves you, his head animation is weirdly still/frozen the whole time on that set of lines despite his expression changing, and it honestly broke my immersion a little bit. The ambient movements of the characters have been so realistic for so many dozens of hours that to have this seriously critical and important moment for the character be almost rigid, especially against a completely silent music-less background, made it stick out as an "oh yeah, this is a video game" reminder. Bummer!
The other thing is that it's icky to have sex in a graveyard, lmao. Tavish doesn't really care because it's just dirt under them--he's literally standing in front of her, so as far as she's concerned it's not that different from the forest--but I did grimace a little. Someone give these dingdongs a bed! or at least a roof!
Anyway! A fantastic romance and super strong writing/consistent characterization throughout, and I'm pumped to see where it's going to go next. I'm still so curious about how the tadpole outcomes will affect things and faintly hoping for a deus ex machina to keep him in the sun, though I suppose that's what fic's for. Regardless, full sign-off on an utterly satisfying romance; so many little things dropped throughout were EXACTLY what I wanted--you can even accuse him of sincerity in the graveyard scene, which is precisely the arc I was hoping he'd have! He didn't even like you in the beginning and now we're smooching next to a bunch of dead people. What isn't romantic about that?
10/10 Larian, thanks for making me a mess for another white-haired grump.

Hey! I'm interested in the Reaper Smiles Upon You WIP 👀
hi!! this fic is literally the blood in my veins and the air in my lungs rn!! i eat, sleep, and breathe this fic LMAO
it's a silverv long multi-chap that i've just recently started actually writing, but have been kicking the idea around and working on the outline ever since i played phantom liberty. it's set after the tower ending, where a streetkid v remains in night city working for mama welles at the el coyote cojo, trying her hardest to survive without johnny... until reed contacts her, informing her of his going rogue from the fia due to finding out that the nusa sold johnny's biochip back to the last remaining arasaka cell still working on the relic project.
that's all i'll say without spoiling major plot points! it's angsty as all hell, especially in the v-centric chapters early on, i include a lot of her chronic physical and mental health issues that are illusioned to in the tower ending and indulge some of my own headcanons. johnny eventually gets a body, and then it's a lot of push and pull with the two, their blurred time apart causing old habits and emotions to resurface (and even more new ones to surface). lots of hurt/comfort. oh and panam!!! and rogue! and kerry! and milton nauman! and reed and so mi! and mama welles and pepe!
oh and it includes lore from the rpg. i'm just having a really fun time with it and it's very special to me and i can't wait to post it (but alas, drafts and editing...)
a little sneak peak of the first chapter under the cut for those interested <3
V longed for the nightmares that caused her to shoot up in bed, stumble to the shower for a cold wake-up call, find an odd relief in the adrenaline coursing through her veins.
Now, it was as if all the life had been siphoned out of her, slowly depleting until not a drop remained. Her eyes opened, tear-stained and blurry. The expectation never stopped, for him to shift into focus, share a camaraderie as she calmed; never words, just the comfort of the other's presence.
The late-afternoon light peered in through the windows causing her vision to stutter, and she curled in on herself, hugging her knees to her chest. All that remained now was a dull ache, strong as the day he was ripped from her, yet unsharpened and unyielding.
Even if the drive to wake up fists-drawn remained, her body didn’t allow it. The first few minutes of waking up were usually the worst, as her vision glitched and nausea washed over her. Her body twitched and heat like embers shot up her limbs. It had been manageable, she’d grown accustomed to it.
Today was different though, and V narrowly avoided choking on her own blood as she coughed it up on the floor beside her bed. She brought a finger up to wipe her lip, examining the smear of blood that remained.

Long post request: how do you feel about BG3?
I didn't realize a new patch came out on final fantasy for about a week because Baldur Gate o Baldur Gate
currently in act 3 and trying to stock up on shit since I recently cleared out the bank. I'm TRYING to hold myself to not starting a new character until I finish this one but I see so many monk items and i want themmmmm (I have a half elf monk open in character creator right now)
Since I played a lotttt of dragon age origins, parts of the structure of bg3 felt very familiar to me like the camp itself and like how u interact with the companions. Like coming home in a way.
I'm also playing 5e a lot so that part of the structure of it was very easy to adapt to. I do still have trouble with like certain interface things like oh man gotta select the version of the spells BEFORE TARGETTING NO GALE WHY ARE YOU RUNNING TO THEM GET BACK HERE WHY ARE YOU HITTING THEM WITH YOUR 8 STRENGTH BACKED STICK
But its great and I do like the changes made to better facilitate it being a VIDEO GAME. Like I'm a Divination Wizard. My main Thing is portent dice. (There's also detect thoughtsing my way through all social encounters which is SO GREAT honestly scratches an itch I've always wanted to do but it would be such a pain in the ass for tabletop. Like first first ever dnd character I cooked up was an illiterate mind reading sorcerer that like got by through just that. But that would be so annoying to do with like.... PEOPLE AT THE TABLE of like 'so im just constantly getting ur surface thoughts...... i can't entirely control this... i'm sorry....' )
ANYWAY portent dice!!!!! in bg3 they have it at level 6 you fulfill little prophecies to get ur dice back to make the big boss miss their BIG attack or make SURE you hit (or my favorite, make the rogue crit on a sneak attack) instead of having it that when u cast a divination spell u get a spell slot back. since theres so few divination spells especially like using IN COMBAT so I understand the change.
I also like the variety of shit you can do. like my partner is one to summon 9 creatures btw the whole party so theres a small army of creatures following their main party. (also several buffed with mage armor and everyone has a higher level aid cast on them so they also have a decent amount of health its really funni to watch) I like wrote off the summon guys moves because I just dont like to have extra guys usually.
Something I wish I did on my first playthrough tho was simply long resting more I think I fucked myself out of a lot of social link scenes in act 1 bc I straight up didn't rest enough. The game is like 'oh no time is ticking' but things aren't REALLY like that (cept for like... 2 instances I can think of) bc its a videogame and thats fine.
It WANTS you to use all your abilities and not be dum like me and just cantrip my way through most the first act 'just in case i need my slots later' why am i like this. both short and lone rest more and just use all your moves its FINE
speaking of social links and companions theyre all great. I love them all. I DO wish some things weren't like... romance locked it feels??? well more like you HAVE to reject them???? idk I had a scene with gale when he's like 'but we're not THAT close tho' and i felt bad bc like... I want to be wizard friends with you. I'm SORRY I'm so weak to both vampires and elves.
heard some shit about astarion having like so much content compared to all the other companions and man imma feel so spoiled on my playthroughs where i dont smooch the vampire. I do wish everyone else had more scenes too its a shame.
something about bg3 thats HILARIOUS to me personally is that its all like 'recruit allies against the cult' and in another irl campaign im in thats been in hiatus for years but I still hope to come back its REALLY similiar. Oh no a huge looming death cult threat to the city. oh no the city has its own fuckmess of bullshit to deal with. OH NO a shapeshifting killer. Anytime theres strong parallels to that campaign it sparks joy.
A few technical problems I've had tho were around switching characters in and out of the party. like in a building and I wanna run back to camp to tag in someone. Wait why are they on the roof????
Or I tag in someone and WHY ARE YOU CLIPPING THROUGH THE FLOOR? Tbh the game is so enjoyable I just sigh and say "Video. Game." out loud and load a save. Like the last time that was REALLY frustrating is when it just would NOT let me out of a restricted area like please I persuaded u 3 times let me go I was on my way OUT.
Also why do all these 8 strength men have abs. This is Wrong. I'm bad with figuring out the technical shit of modding but holy shit I need them to not have abs.
Anyway I had this and the character creator open for like 2 hours now so Imma start that now.

Soooo I got all the Assassin's Creed games for the XBox360 (AC1 - AC Rogue) and because I can't talk to anybody about my new fandom, I'm gonna post my thoughts during my plays on Tumblr, because maybe someone can relate :D
SPOILERS (obviously)
Assassin's Creed 1
(25.12.22)
- I like the trailer :) Altaïr is looking BADASS
- kinda confused about the colours (social status icon), but I guess I'll figure it out as I go
- I like how they made the eagle vision (the way you just get teleported into them and see the world from their eyes)
---
- sorry Malik and Kadar :(
- You dare attack Masyaf?! >:O YOU'RE GONNA REGRET IT!!
(Maaaannn, I'm bad at fighting...)
- I'm dead?!
---
- "The Farm"?! O.o What happend to the Assassins?
- Warren is a creep
---
- Oh no, I'm not dead.
- Why am I losing my learned abilities when I get deomoted? Like I get why I lose my armour (health) but my abilities? :/
- Why are there just women in the garden? (And why is it closed if there is a flag?)
- FLAGS!
- 20 Flags? Where?!
- I like Masyaf :)
- well, that's a clear interrogation I guess ...
- Oh your students don't know how to wield a blade? Do I look like I can it better?!
(-> I couldn't do it better...)

---
- Acre is not looking good from the first glance ...
- Those people are just SLEEPING! Right?!
(26.12.22)
- the Rafiq of Acre kind of looks like Al Mualiam .... doesn't he?
- archer's on the roof - I repeat ARCHERS ON THE ROOF
- it's funny that I'm surrounded by dead people, I'm the only person around who wears weapons, but the guards still can't see me, because I look down... but I'm definitely not complaining
- the parkour is satisfying :)
- I can jump through those lonely market stalls? O.o
- Altaïr can't swim...
- An Informant? I'LL HELP YOU :D
- I hate those beggar women - CAN'T YOU SEE I'M TRYING TO ESCAPE?!
- the people who hold their hands weirdly in front of them, just push you away for no reason?
- another Informant :D
- I NEED TO RACE :O
- I did it with 1:56 to spare B)
- his information was pretty unhelpful.... but thanks anyway
- the guard with a helmet can jump away from your attacks
- I hate Garnier >:(

- the closet is open O.o
(-> code: helps you unlock the door)
- well there is the pen of Warren
(-> time to stalk Lucy's e-mails :D)
- I STOLE HIS PEN :O
(-> he's so distracted by his coffee he forgets everything - relatable)
- fun fact: he gets annoyed, if you don't immediately get into the Animus ^^
---
- aannd the guards are more suspicious - nice -_-
- NEW ABILITIES :D (and life)
- aahh so now I'm supposed to help you(r students) again .. OKAY I'LL DO IT

---
- I can immediately travel to Acre/Damascus/Jerusalem without having to ride through all of the Kingdom?! AMAZING:D
- I guess I'll go to Acre first, so that I'll never have to see the city again
- How many guards are here?!
- HELLO ACRE (I didn't miss you)
- those people are still just sleeping
- ARCHERS
- why can't I see where I'm supposed to go? O.o
(-> I'm supposed to go to the rich district)
- why are all the people in the rich district white?
- it is always day (there is never night)
- William's hair is UGLY
- BYE ACRE, HOPE TO NEVER SEE YOU AGAIN
---
- as an Assassin you're supposed to ask questions, but also to not ask questions and trust your master (without question)...?
- "no true peace without order"
- NEW ABILITIES :D
- and of course I'm helping you(r students) again ^^
- the fast travel across the world is so nice
---
- HELLO DAMASCUS, you're looking as gorgeous as last time :D
- "Altaïr my FRIEND HELLOOO, whose life do you come to collect today? :D" .... O.o (I like the Rafiq :))
- Awww Altaïr thanked the Rafiq! :)
- and again, I don't see where I'm supposed to go
(-> It's the rich district again)
(--> at least they're not all white this time)
- ARCHERS >:/
- I was so distracted by the skyline of Damascus, that I jumped from the view point without synchronizing first...
(-> and it was the biggest tower of Damascus...)
- killing 2 guards with TIME?! :O
- I did it! (Also I love the informant :))
- MAN RUNNING! MAN IS RUNNUNG FAST :O Abu'l is a fast man!!!
---
- Altaïr is asking QUESTIONS DEMANDING ANSWERS! HE SPEAKS AGAINST THE MENTOR!!! THE BABY IS GROWING UP :D
- more throwing knives :)
---
- HELLOO JERUSALEM (and hello Malik :))
- where are all those people going? O.o
- Malik is nice :) (he is slowly forgiving his bf ;) )
- and again, I don't know where to go...
(-> this time it was the poor district)
(28.12.22)
- I love this informant and if something happens to him, I will kill all responsible :)
(-> even if I already knew his information)
- "Novice" :D
- I have to save a BROTHER?! :O no pressure, right?!
- well that was the fastest assassination ever XD
(-> I tried to blend in with the scholars, but a man pushed me right into the arms of the guards. They of course became alert and attacked me. Addin walked right into my arms..)
- BYE MALIK :D
---
- the Assassin's are trying to save me
- Abstergo is a Templar Organisation
- everything is normal, I'd say :)
- "the answers [...] are right in front of you"
(-> time to stalk Lucy's e-mails again :D)
- naw. someone (Warren) is grumpy >:)
---
- why is he petting the Apple like a super villain would a cat?
- ACRE AGAIN?!
- they fear me >:D
- NEW ABILITY (and live - just one more and I have all) :D
- Oh and again I'm not supposed to help you(r students) >:/
---
- HELLO ACRE, I STILL HAD TO COME BACK BUT I SWEAR AFTER THIS, YOU'LL NEVER SEE ME AGAIN
- still as ugly as ever
- and those people are still just sleeping
- hello second Al Mualim
- Altaïr thanks the Rafiq! He is growing up :)
- THE GUARDS DRESSED IN WHITE ARE STRONG
- I LOVE the ability to grab/hold onto ledges (so you don't fall)
- I also love the throwing knives (sadly there are only 10 :/)
- GUARDS! A LOT OF (ANNOYING) GUARDS! >:O
- full synchronisation! :D
- so much water! Altaïr hates water! HE DIES!
- I don't want to tell you how long it took me to finish the informant mission (5 targets in 4 minutes) - I HAD TO RESTART AGAIN, SO.MANY.TIMES
- "William and Garnier were too confident" - well you're too scared
- naawww the Rafiq is concerned :)
- and Altaïr is feeling things
- I love the bonds between Altaïr and the Rafiqs <3
---
- damn Altaïr is getting poetic
- he has grown so much <3
- NEW ABILITY
- and again I'm not supposed to help you(r students) ... :(
---
- HEELLLOOO DAMASCUS
- STILL AS BEAUTIFUL AS EVER
- AND I LOVE THE MUSIC!
- it's so adorable that your horse follows you (at least until you actually get into the city) <3
- "the Hero of Damascus"
- They're burning all the books! The WISDOM!!
- and now I did all the 5 targets on the first try ...
- OH YOUR back hurts?! I've been running around all day, fighting dozens of guards! And I'm supposed to kill the boss! What about MY BACK? MY EVERYTHING?!!
(just joking, I love all the informants - they're SO definitely going to be in a fanfic)
(29.12.22)
- on my way to kill the last person before de Sable ^^
- THE BOOKS! THE WISDOM >:O
- I found him on the second try :)
---
- "Oh Desmond, you have no idea." YES, I DON'T, SO WHY DON'T YOU TELL ME SOMETHING USEFUL LUCY?!
- ok not gonna lie, the advertisement e-mail caught me off-guard, but I get it - "we will be there soon" (I felt like a spy - or should I say, like an assassin ;))
- OH I CAN ALSO LOOK AT WARREN'S COMPUTER! OF COURSE I CAN, I STOLE HIS PEN! HOW STUPID AM I!??! (Well If I were an assassin, I would be a novice...)
---
- NEW ABILITY :)
- MORE THROWING KNIVES :D
- and for the last time I'm not supposed to help you(r students) :/ Ok then...
---
- ON MY WAY TO THE LAST TARGET OMG
- WHERE EVERYTHING BEGAN
- HELLOOOO JERUSALEM

- NO AL MUALIM, NOO
- "Why? Why travel all this way? Risk you life a thousand times, all to kill a simple man?"
-> because he is a good man, a man that does everything for freedom and his believe
---
- Desmond haven't had any contact with the Assassins for YEARS. How is it his fault, that they come to rescue him? (Even though, at this point we know that it was Lucy (from her e-mails))
- NO MORE ASSASSINS?! WHAT O.o ("in the last YEAR" WHAT?!)
- Warren: Desmond you're gonna die soon, all the assassins are dead, you are completely alone and after we're gonna put you in the Animus tomorrow, we'll kill you. Sleep tight :)
Me: O.o ... >:(
Lucy: It's not as bad as it seems :/
Desmond: >:O
---
- the village is looking so dark and sad :/
- HE HAS BEWITCHED THEM
- AL MUALIM IS A TRAITOR >:O ALTAÏR (and all the others) TRUSED YOU
- I HAVE TO FIGHT MY BROTHERS :O
- AHHH I'M SORRY
- AAHH NEARLY DEAD
- MALIK! :D
- "Your presence here will deliver us both" <3
- oh shit, here we go
- the doors closing behind me and a group of (innocent) people staring at me - welcome to the new horror game
- what did he do with all the women?!
(and why is the guarden called "Paradise" O.o)
- OH GOD, NICE TO SEE YOU ALL AGAIN I GUESS?!!
- AAHH HE MULTIPLIES (he glows golden!)
- HE TRIED TO BEWITCH ALTAÏR?!!!
- me the whole time during the end boss and after I killed him: :O
- the apple is a giant compass? O.o Ah it shows where all the Pieces of Eden are (but it is weird that the Apple shows them a map from our time. (I don't think, this is what the world looked like in the 12. century (at that time they thought that the earth is flat)))
- Malik :D
---
- strange people watching Desmond behind the glass!
- Lucy saved me :)
- O.o What is happening? Invisible inc?
- 12212017 ? Is it gonna be important? We'll see..
- the door doesn't close behind me!
- nothing interesting in the bathroom
- blood?!
- THAT WAS IT?! O.O
---
- hey someone from the gameplay integrators is also named Malik :D
- a lot of testers
- Philip Shahbaz you did a great job in voicing Altaïr :D (they all did)
(-> even if it's weird that Altaïr doesn't have an accent)
- so Nolan North, the voice actor of Desmond, is also the voice actor of Abbas AND also the voice of Nathan Drake of Uncharted (seriously look at how much he has done!)
---
- "We are all books containing thousands of pages and within each of them lies an irreparable truth"
- "I've entered the Abyss and never returned"
- new e-mail at Warren's computer...
(-> subject 16, bleeding effect, THE WHOLE PUPULATION OF AFRICA IS NEARLY GONE?!)
Feedback:
- I liked it :) It is rather simple, but I like that. I liked the (way they did the) cities and I loved the parkour. There were times where I would get from one side of the town to the other just with using the rooftops (or the beams and poles sticking from the roofs), which I greatly enjoyed. I don't know why, but Damascus especially was a beautiful city form me. I spend many minutes on top of towers just looking across the city and remembering the rooftops.
Also, I liked the way they portrayed Altaïr's "road of forgiveness" - In the beginning Altaïr is an arrogant man, who assumes that everyone will do as he says, because he is better then them. That shows in the way he talks to the people in the beginning and the way he demands the answers of the Rafiqs and Informants at the beginning. He doesn't ask questions and simply follows orders blindly. In the middle of the game, Altaïr is beginning to see his mistakes and his arrogance. He begins to question, rather than demand and he apologizes. He is getting respectful. At the end of the game, the arrogant man from the beginning is gone. In his place stands a man, who questions things and wants answers, but doesn't demand them. He sees his mistakes and even begs for forgiveness. He is respectful to those around him and he is showing emotion (before the fight with Al Mualim, he said that he had to be careful not to hurt the innocent people). He is an honorable man now.
(Also I like the way, how the people around him, basically show his process. In the beginning they are rather short with him (especially Malik). Than in the middle, they begin to become friends (even Malik is getting nicer, but still isn't friendly towards him). In the end, all the Rafiqs and Informants respect Altaïr again and even Malik considers him a friend and brother again.)
I also appreciate the fast travel option. While I liked the horse riding, it annoyed me greatly that simply riding my horse can make me suspicious to the guards. In the cities, I could understand the near constant suspicion of the guards (especially towards the end), but that was it.
Another point towards the guards: you have to give it to them, they wouldn't give up. You either have to me miles away from them or hide.
All in all, I liked the game. It has it's points that frustrated me, but in general I really liked it. Can't wait to play Assassin's Creed 2.
THE END OF ASSASSIN'S CREED 1

Roleplay Hub: (( BTS Roleplay ))
MEMBER x MEMBER ONLY
ORIGINAL PINNED MESSAGE the TLDR; Version of this message: Male x Male RP only
BTS roleplay, Yoonmin Roleplay, Jimin x Yoongi, Taehyung x Jungkook. I'm an adult, 25+ I prefer my partners to be at least 21
I'm very active as I am a youtuber so I make my own hours.
I would love to find some people to roleplay with, not really interested in "friends" perse had bad luck in that department - but maybe after a few months of getting to know someone.
I can roleplay various roles, top and bottom both. I really enjoy Kitty Gang x AgustD themes.
I also really like Mafia, Supernatural, and other such genres.
The only genre I don't do typically is slice of life, I find it boring.
I'll do anything really that contains Yoonmin though :3
@GamerKittyEuphoric is my Discord ~ add me

^ Roleplay Community for BTS Roleplays over 18 :3
About me:
I'm over 25 and I've been roleplaying for a very large part of my life, I'm chronically online due to 1: Being disabled, 2: Being a youtuber, and 3: Just enjoying being online. Due to this, I am almost always around unless I'm sleeping, so you can always look forward to 'some' form of reply from me. I don't ghost my partners - I always communicate. Communication is very important to me.
About my roleplay:
I play top and bottom roles, and I'm happy to double up. I prefer heavily story driven plots but will RP sexual elements if the story calls for it properly.
I do not do porn-based sex-driven plots. I don't like them. I will do a plot that has high sexual content, it's not the same as a sex driven plot. I will outline several of these later on.
I have no limits. I will RP just about anything.
My favorite ships listed in order of desire: Yoonmin, Taekook, VMin as Best Friends only.
Because I ship Yoongi with Jimin and Tae with JK, I don't really do any other ships. Sorry, not sorry lol I like what I like <3 I don't "HATE" ships, I'm just not open to them :3

Thinking about that post that says there's a throughline in all your dnd characters that ties back to who you are as a person and I think I might know mine
- (neutral good) Kei'rynn: bubbly innocent wizard nerd who trusts everyone and is so optimistic and nothing bad has ever happened to him but he wants to go out(of the cloistered library city Candlekeep where he spent his whole life) and be an adventurer like his aunt! In for a rude awakening when things finally start going bad for him. Also major prankster. Also has multiple breakdowns about killing things
- (chaotic neutral) Speckles: wizard's pet lizard who ate a deck of many things that leveled the wizard tower and turned him into a kobold wildmagic sorcerer trying to find artifact to replace his gnomish owner's mothers collection to earn her a place back home. Known to cast pointless spells in the middle of combat (ultimate died bc he was tryna climb a cliff mid combat and fell into a fireball)
- (lawful evil) Pyravae: Fae eladrin war general adopted from high quality child trafficking into a noble family that couldn't bear its own heir, goes off to train and returns to learn her best friend had been killed as a spy for the fomorians who have taken that friend's kid. Makes a deal as a contingency and in the process of rescuing the kid gets got and the deal wipes her memories and banishes her to the material plane where she's disconnected from Fae magic but cannot reveal any secrets to the enemy, searching for a way back to- she doesn't remember where. (Can you tell she's my favorite right now. She's a whisper Bard and soulknife rogue btw)
- and then there's lawful good Yasmin Noble the joke character based on Y/N but she doesn't count (she's a twilight cleric btw and some people say she looks like Amy Lee)
Also I'm only listing characters I've actually played as before
Anyways- I've realized that I just really love making characters that are largely unprepared for the world they've been thrust into/who don't know how to function in society/who start as outsiders

Pride Month 2024 - Day 15
And now for my current WIP, my greatest hyperfixation to date...
Synopsis
Dylan is the American Republic's best cyber-agent with a 'kill' count that exceeds the next top 4 agent's count combined. When the world woke up in the aftermath of the Rogue A.I. scare in U.N. City, America formed a task force to defend her people from the A.I. that were trying to wipe out humanity. The challenge was, the U.N. had walled off America after World War 3, so the only nation openly fighting against the threat of the machines was hemmed in and limited. The agency has gotten their hands on a "VR Pod" and selected Dylan as their first operative to penetrate the online spaces that the Republic has been denied access to so far. A new VRMMO game has come out, "Galaxies Unlimited: Master and Commander," that's being billed as the first true collaboration between a team of human developers and A.I. Scuttlebutt in the intelligence community says that this new 'game' is actually a front for an organized effort to hide and traffic rogue A.I. In order to best infiltrate the game, Dylan's support staff of analysts dig into the published info about the rogues and determine that the A.I. seem to gravitate to the 'queer' humans outside the wall (there are NO queers inside the wall, the church made sure of that), and since Dylan gets the screaming willies even imagining trying to pretend attraction to another guy, he opts to go incognito as a woman. Dylan, now Diane, takes command of her station in the game and must navigate a universe filled with humans playing as aliens, uncomfortably lifelike A.I., and the disturbing awareness that she should be feeling more conflicted about being a woman than she is. --- A story set in the 'Trouble with Horns'/'Witch of Chains'/'Lieforged Gale'/'Digital Galaxies' universe that asks the question, "What about the bad guys?" --- HUGE thanks to SoulStorm (do a people search, totally worth it!) for the title for this work! It fits so perfectly!
If you are a transwoman and haven't read Trouble with Horns and the other books in the series, you haven't ever seen yourself represented properly in media.
The series is genuinely inspirational and I cannot say enough about it, ever. It's just genuinely so good.
But this post isn't about that series, it's about Code of Ethics.
This fic literally started life while I was binging the Troubleverse fics (and, really, everything by QuietValerie on Scribblehub) during an 18 day period of time.
Yes, really. I binged over 2 years worth of writing from someone who, IMHO, deserves a place of honor in the pantheon of queer writers in 18 days.
And I asked the question as I was about halfway through 'Digital Galaxies' and the discussion of the Exodus were well underway (...if you haven't read the series yet, this won't make sense), "Wait, what about the queer folk born after the Exodus?"
See, one thing I've noticed about any group that sees themselves as the Oppressed Minority (whether they are or not) is there's this fantasy that takes hold that says, "If we could just leave and all the people that Don't Deserve Us™️ were left behind (intentional emphasis is intentional), why, everything would be so much better!"
And the problem with this thinking is two-fold: What about the people who can't leave, and what about the people who come later who are also part of the oppressed minority?
This is most obviously illustrated in it's abject failure as a 'solution' to the perceived problem in the Christian myth of the Rapture. If you're unfamiliar (which I'm consistently surprised by the lack of knowledge about Christian myth and tradition given how hard pseudo-Christians and Christofascists have worked to make Christianity the only religious and philosophical framework on Earth...but then actual knowledge of Christianity isn't necessary when your goal isn't to spread the gospel but to spread a Christofascist hegemony, is it?), the Rapture is a misread of the scripture Matthew 24:40-41. (Didn't know you were getting a gospel lesson, did you?) The mentioned scripture describes a calamity where 50% of the population will be "taken," and the Death Cultists in the church took that scripture and about seven others to cobble together the anti-doctrinal concept of, "Only the very best, most goodest people who deserve to be in Heaven will be spared the absolute and complete destruction that comes after, and everyone left behind are bad, baddy bads who deserve what's coming...but somehow there's going to be good people left after all that and even though they're in the half that's bad, they're still good. They won't be good enough, mind, God will still have to step in and go all Old Testament (even though he said he wouldn't do that again because it's no longer necessary after Jesus did his thing), but they're going to earn their place in Heaven, which we all know isn't beholden to Jesus' teachings that you have a place in Heaven if you go and sin no more."
Even in the Christofascist circlejerk Mary Sue fanfiction of scripture where The Rapture happens, it's such a provably bad idea because of the fundamental problem of what about the people WHO DON'T GET TO ESCAPE BUT SHOULD HAVE HAD THE CHANCE?
Which took my very active imagination inside the American Wall.
"Dylan" came about from my own experiences of living under the weight of being taught a certain worldview as a transwoman where that worldview declares your very existence to be anathema. When you want to be Good and Righteous and further, that's the only path that you can think to follow that might, maybe, hopefully free you from the sin that you cannot escape, just how far would you go to try to wipe the stain of sin from your life? What atrocities would you commit? What brainwashing would you subject yourself to in order to reconcile the gut-level pull to live your truth with the sure knowledge that this truth is an evil so vile that people don't dare speak of it? And whose attention would that draw, and what would they do about it?
Dylan is a mass murderer, and on a certain level he knows it. But he's been taught that this is okay, that the people he's murdering aren't actually people, they're just buggy code that needs to be deleted for the sake of all the actual people. In an effort to escape the truth buried in his subconscious and starved due to ignorance, he's turned himself into a monster, a nightmare to the world he thinks he's protecting.
When he becomes Diane and those parts of herself that had been buried so thoroughly she didn't even know they existed start to make themselves known, what will become of the paladin who dedicated themself to the ideals of the world they grew up in when the only option once their shell is cracked is to confront the truth that they are, in fact, the bad guy?
The ride's going to be rough, so make sure all your carry on bags are properly stowed, your seat backs are in an upright and locked position, and strap the fuck in.

with a drought of fe content outside of feh, i've been playing final fantasy xiv [the free trial version] recently. I've gotten to the end of a realm reborn, i think given credits rolled, but have yet to start stormblood in part because of fucking around and in part because i wanted to give all the starting areas a start so i made a couple extra characters [very annoying that you cant start as a rogue] and gave em a go.
i dont typically rank things so my preferences tend to be fairly fluid, and each area i feel was surprisingly quite good in its own way [i expected one of em to be a stinker but no], but i do have thoughts so i'll go through em the order i tackled their starting areas
gridania: to start with its obvious strengths, gridania is quite beautiful as a starting location. a majestic magical forest, with inhabitants incorporating their way of life in a cooperative manner with the very nature around them, it leaves the best first impression i feel with its wagon ride, and it works its way quite well into gradually coming to realize that the forest is indeed haunted as fuck. an interplay of the light of nature in its beauty and whimsy and the shadow of natures more fickle and devastating aspects just as gridanians themselves present a light of peace and good vibes but retain a shadow of prejudices and elitism. On the whole i also get major shintoism vibes from the whole thing, of godly spirits inhabiting every little object and how so much of gridanias religious practices involve appeasing those godly spirits. I also appreciate that gridania is a fairly compact starting city and environment as a whole, and its aethernet is one of the more efficient ones for actually getting around. the shroud too is nicely compact, not being too small but being small enough that its easier to navigate in its size. and its starting quests get you visiting most of the relevant areas and aether crystals as you go which is a plus for later revisits i feel. in terms of problems, well i like its main quest for having a natural feeling path of escalation from 'adventurer doing chores' to 'hero of the hour' well shadowy forces work behind the scenes, i feel it also has a problem of feeling disconnected from the story at large in retrospect [a problem im getting the impression gridania has in general]. yda and papalymo are fun in their banter dont get me wrong but they're also the least helpful scions for getting a sense of foreshadowing for the later story, a story in which they are very much secondary players. and well the gridanians are and indeed do fight the ixal in their starting story but the personal animosity connection isn't there and the ixal aren't particularly relevant in the rest of a realm reborns story.
ul'dah: in terms of strengths ul'dah benefits the most from its connection to the story. you spend large amounts of a realm reborns post starting area story in ul'dah, its where the scions are located, and thancred is the most relevant of the secondary scions in a realm reborn. as such it can lay a lot more groundwork and foreshadowing for whats to come going forward and i will admit it helped me appreciate characters like thancred or the sultina a lot more. ul'dah has i would argue the best athernet of the cities as well, plopping you right at pretty much every relevant location or close enough. its opening wagon ride well probably the weakest in my opinion, does still maintain the story connectivity though where we see the brass blades a representation of ul'dah vices in this opening instance try to shake ya down for extra cash only to be interrupted by a suprise raid and threat of the amalj'aa. that brings me to my problems with ul'dah though, and unfortunately its the starting area i have the most problems with at the moment. for starters its pretty bland as far as an environment goes. gridania plays into the magical forest sterotype sure but it intentionally complicates that aesthetic. the forest is haunted as fuck, the people not as perfect as the profess to be, theres a tension of natures beauty and natures wrath there. by comparison ul'dah is just your generic arabian nights fantasy location, deserts and savannas oh my with a sprinkling of lost desert civilizations and oasis springs oh my. its not a bad take on any of those elements mind, it serves the boxstandard arabian nights setting purpose of merchant wonders and wealth inequality. but its boxstandard, theres no bite to it. and thats also not helped by ul'dah being stupidly big to navigate on foot for a starting area and thannalan being just a bit too big to comfortably navigate on foot as well. its starting quest line doesn't demand too much in that regard mind but that just means your mostly stuck in the one area. and as mentioned its all just your standard desert savanna.
limsa lominsa: in terms of strengths limsa lominsa is the opposite side of the same coin of stunning that is gridania in terms of its starting area. well gridania is beautiful its a tried and tested kinda beautiful of magical forests, a good spin on a proven formula. limsa lominsa is beautiful in a more uniquely innovative fashion, combining castle and watchtower/crows nest with a seaside port in a way that really works as a fantastical physical space. hell ya have to get there by boat which helps with that impression of wonder divorcing you from any other impressions of setting well on the boat getting oriented and then giving you an eyeful of that fantastic imagery of limsa lominsa as ya dock. it helps that limsa lominsa is fairly easy to navigate on foot as well, though its aethernet system is probably the worst of the starting areas. story wise limsa lominsa strikes the happy medium between gridania and ul'dah as a starting area, laying down solid foreshadowing for whats to come and being more story relevant in general well also providing a solid feel for the culture and setting at play in limsa lominsa. pirates are free and you do what ya want, but that also means exploitation of others in the name of that freedom and well the ruling authorities aim to crack down on such exploitation that also opens the door for tyranny and exploitation of its own. its an interesting balance for the people of limsa trying to strike as they navigate their future, and it gels well with the ship metaphors that get tossed around a lot. ya need a tightly run ship, but if you go to far the crew might rebel, stuff like that. honestly my problem with limsa lominsa is that la noscea the area around it is way to big for comfortable on foot navigation. and well limsa is fantastic la noscea isn't quite so fantastic being a hodgepodge of different island environments with the occasional fantastic set piece such as dragon bones or giant windmills. also it annoys me that ya can't start the game as a rogue, but thats a separate issue.

I'm on my anime bs again, and I want fantasy isekai sanders sides.
Roman was an actor, moderately successful
Remus was an artist, living off online commissions, and comfortably
Janus was a successful businessman who dreamed of being a writer
Logan was a high school English teacher, the kind that students like and also respect, nice but doesn't let the kids walk all over him
Patton ran a kids' entertainment facility, think Chuck E. Cheese (or Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria)
Virgil was a shut-in, living off government welfare (I will fight you if you start discourse about this on this post, getting disability payments is not a bad thing, and it doesn't make you lazy)
They are reborn into a fantasy world, haven't decided on their deaths yet. Roman and Remus are twins, princes of the human Kingdom of Cerlia. Roman, being the firstborn by about 7 minutes, is first in line for the throne. Janus is born to a poor family on the outskirts of the capital city, Imria. Patton is his cousin of about the same age. They live in neighboring homes and each have four siblings. They are cousins through their mothers being sisters. Logan is the son of a merchant, raised by his aunt (his father's sister) because his mother died in childbirth. He receives lots of schooling, because his aunt married rich and then was widowed, so she can afford to educate him. Virgil is the illegitimate son of a nobleman, sequestered away in his father's manor with another illegitimate child, his older half-brother Remy. Also I've decided that Virgil is trans, both in the "real world" and in the fantasy world.
Anyway, they're all about the same age, and they all regain their memories at the same time, when they're all about 16. Logan, being Logan, starts poking around to see if anyone else has experienced what he has, or if it is some kind of spell, or a delusion. He ends up finding Virgil, who, having come of age, has been kicked out of his father's home to fend for himself. Luckily, he has Remy, who has found lodging for them with a local blacksmith, under whom he is apprenticing. Virgil helps the blacksmith's wife with the home and children. She teaches him rogue-y things, because, surprise! She used to be an adventurer. And he expresses an interest when she tells him about one of her escapades. He takes to it quickly.
Anyway, Logan finds Virgil, and Virgil agrees to try to find information to see if there are more people like them. Patton and Janus hear that someone has been asking weird questions about memories of another world and seek him out. Janus has become a devout follower of the patron goddess of the harvest and snakes (because snakes keep away pests), Ka (cleric boi). Patton has been working away in the fields, so is very strong and fast. They join up with Virgil and Logan, and Logan is satisfied that it is not a delusion, but he still thinks it might be a spell, so they go to the High Wizard of Imria. He tells them of a legend about heroes from another world. And he begins instructing Logan in magic, because Logan likes the mystery of where this power comes from.
Princes Roman and Remus have also heard rumors about the strange quartet, and go to see if they really are all from the same world. Finally, the High Wizard tells them the prophecy about them saving the world. Some of them are more enthusiastic than others.
Anyway, I essentially assigned them D&D classes.
Roman: Fighter/Druid multiclass (he needed some magic)
Remus: Bard
Janus: Cleric
Logan: Wizard
Patton: Barbarian (bit of a stretch, but he is a self-taught fighter, and a brute)
Virgil: rogue (playing into the rogue!Virgil cliche)
Anyway, that's only the beginning! I really want to flesh this out so I can write some snippets for this, if anyone wants to help! Send me asks with questions or writing requests!

Hey, it's me again, lol!
Well I've been thinking about this pretty a lot and, I don't know if this is your kind of post, but I was wondering who would be like date someone of x-family, but you are an outsider. Like... not of other country or other necessarily human, but... I mean they live in a school and almost don't get out but to stop villains, so they are probably in their own world inside the school. I really hope you got it because I made a mess to explain.
Anyway, how would be to date a member of x-family begin an outsider?
I think I understand!
I did my best to answer, but I may have gone more in depth than you were thinking. I’m not sure exactly who you mean by X-Family, because they’re all one big family. So, I added a lot of people!
NOTE: I did not put Erik and Charles in because they are kind of the parents of X-Family, and you specifically asked for X-Family. I don’t know if the parents would date anyone besides the other.
I don’t really do character x reader stuff, but this was a fun prompt. I hope I cover everything! Tell me what you think—feedback is appreciated! As always, thank you so much for the ask. Keep them coming! They are a lot of fun!
WANDA MAXIMOFF– Wanda likes domesticity. We saw that in WandaVision! I think you would likely meet her at the movie theatre, or a coffee shop. She can be a bit of a sap for things like that. She would be closed off at first, but if you could make her laugh, she would fall pretty fast. After that, it would be drive-in movies with popcorn fights in the front seats, references to sitcoms that the two of you watched together, and other fun dates (playing Twister, making cupcakes together, pretending to be witches and/or a witch and wizard attending Hogwarts together, etc.). Wanda might even show off her magic a bit to make you smile! It would be very two-way. Both of you would get a lot out of the relationship. Charles would likely dote over you if you could make Wanda smile. He would be the parent that constantly asks Wanda how her girlfriend/boyfriend is doing. Erik would probably be skeptical until he saw you making Wanda happy. Pietro would play lots of jokes on you to see how you react—do you take it well, or get mad? That would determine how he views you.
PIETRO MAXIMOFF— Pietro does have a life outside of the mansion. He gets away every moment he can, and because he’s so fast, there’s nothing his parents can do to stop him. You would probably be a friend of his that he met on one of his excursions from the mansion. It would start as just a friendship. But then friendship would probably turn into fun practical jokes that you could both laugh at. Karaoke nights would start to get later and later as the two of you refused to watch the clock and just spent time with one another. Halloween would be a lot of fun—I think Pietro would probably want to do a couple costume. He would refuse to call it that, though. Everyone else would meet you first as a friend, and then the psychics (Jean and Charles) would catch on that there was something more to it. They would make lighthearted fun of the two of you, but because they are both so caring, they would also take you under their wings, so to speak. Erik, on the other hand, may threaten you if you hurt his son. And Wanda would probably judge you.
JEAN GREY— Jean is studying to be a doctor, and I assume she still goes to classes outside of the Xavier Mansion. In order to get her attention, you would need to prove that you don’t like her for looks. She has had a rough love life, and they always seem to want her because she’s pretty. If you could prove to Jean that you like her because she’s funny, CRAZY smart, and fun to be around, then she would start inviting you to things. If you let her make the first move, she would probably like you even more. Dates would include long drives where the two of you could talk about anything and everything, book store dates where you would buy each other books, and the occasional food fight. Jean has a fun side that she rarely shows: she likes to be a kid, too, not just a superhero that studies medicine. She likes to make a mess, dance around, and stay up all night telling scary stories. If you were into that kind of thing, Jean would be a lifelong lover. She’s very heart-to-heart. Erik would probably look at you and nod slowly, because he could see the love in Jean’s eyes. Charles would be the skeptical one here. He would not want to see Jean get hurt, and it would take a few weeks for him to warm up. The other kids would probably adore you—after all, you would be someone totally new that can bring out the good in just about anyone.
RAVEN DARKHOLME— Would You Date Me? That was the song (yes, from the soundtrack of X-Men: First Class) that Raven would think when she met you. You would probably meet her on the battlefield. Raven is attracted to bad boys/girls. You would probably be a villain, and she would be a reformed hero. She would meet you and want to know more. You would not hurt her in battle because you have a softer side, and she would want to understand why. That would lead to her sneaking out of the mansion in the middle of the night to meet with you in various places. The dates would include was-that-fighting-or-flirting and a lot of heart-to-heart talking. Raven needs body positivity, and if you gave it to her, she would be eternally thankful. When you eventually would meet the rest of X-Family, it would be a little awkward... you would have tried to kill everyone in the room multiple times. Charles forgives easily, so he would accept you quickly. Erik has been in your position before, so he would like you, too. The other kids might take some time though!
ORORO MUNROE— Ororo used to be a pickpocket, and I think you would likely meet her by trying to pickpocket her. She would see you and decide that she wants to help you. You would start by meeting up for coffee and lunch where she can help you overcome your desire to steal. After that, you would open up and start to trust her more, but you would also want to spend more time with her. She would meet up with you at any time, whenever you needed her. Dates would include dancing in the rain and Ororo taking you up into the clouds to watch the sun set. She would teach you to garden and give you self-worth until you no longer felt the desire to steal to get by. The others would accept you very easily—if Ororo likes you, you have to be good.
SCOTT SUMMERS— Scott is very traditional. He would probably rescue you during battle—maybe a stone tower was going to fall on you or something, and he blasted it away. He likes to be the hero. After that, the two of you would start meeting up in all the cliche ways. He would take you to the movies or out to food. He would throw pebbles at your window, and send you long texts about how beautiful you are. Scott has gone through many lovers before, but the others would see the way he looks at you through his visor and quickly decide that you’re one of the better ones.
KURT WAGNER— Kurt is super religious, and I suspect you would meet him through church. He would be very shy, but if you were able to look past the blue, two-fingered, tailed exterior, you would find the softest of hearts. He would bring you flowers with small poems attached, and take you on short vacations—teleporting, not traveling—to the beach or to the big city. He would like to see your smile. There would be a lot of surprise gifts, too. If you ever needed him, he would teleport to get there as fast as he could. The others would think it is adorable that you make Kurt smile so much. They would invite you over all the time, for dinner and for game nights.
ROGUE— The poor woman is so touch-starved. You would probably meet her on an occasion that she snuck out, the little rebel. She would like to give you hugs (without skin to skin contact) and run her hand through your hair. The two of you would spray paint walls and have water gun fights as often as you could. She would probably leave you gifts outside your door on a weekly basis. Because she is, well, Rogue, I doubt she would tell the others about you for a couple of months. She would not want to make a scene. She’s also just rebellious like that. When she finally did, though, she would get a talking-to from Charles. Erik would want to meet you immediately, because he would think that you sound awesome. Charles would come around to that view, too. The other kids would probably be a little wary... until they met you.
KITTY PRYDE— NERDS! She is such a geek, and you would probably meet her through robotics or something. It would start as a school girl’s crush, complete with sending one another notes and giving each other looks when no one else is around. Once you got together (she would probably make the first move, but if you beat her to it, she would definitely say yes), she would make bad pick up lines and puns all the time. She would meet up with you to do things like fly drones over restricted areas. When she would take you to meet her family, she would make a big deal out of it. She’d make sure that it was a formal dinner with everyone on their best behavior, and... yeah. The others would find it endearing, and with a good first impression, they would easily accept you into the family.
LOGAN— This one is fun. Logan is a lone wolf. You would likely meet him on a separate mission, possibly in Japan. You would need to chase after him. He would not make the first move. If you chowed him that you really cared for him, then he would start to get protective and try to keep you safe. There would be a lot of late nights drinking and whatnot... I’ll leave the ‘whatnot’ up to your imagination. I mean, this is Logan. But he would love you very deeply. Seldom does Logan fall in love, so when he does, it’s a big deal. That being said, it would probably be a long distance relationship. You would probably not meet the rest of X-Family for a couple of years, until the relationship was solid and he wanted to take you back to the States to meet everyone. It might even be the wedding. If it was the wedding where you finally met the X-Men... expect some laughs. They would tell every embarrassing story about Logan, just to make him flustered.
Holy cow, that was long. I hope you liked it, and I hope it answered your question!!

!!! Did you play any more of the Tybalt campaign? What happened, how are things between him and Evris rn??? If you wouldn't mind sharing that is... I've somehow gotten very invested in the love life of your green boy ^^'
YES!! We’ve played two more sessions and OH my god wow a LOT has happened!! I’ll try and summarise but I know this is going to be a big info dump!! And just in case (tw: sexual assault) due to some of the events in the last session.
Tybalt and Evris continued: Princes and Prejudice
So what we know about Evris is that his mother Elrynn, who is a drow woman, married a halfling bard named Yir. Despite Yir’s family’s disapproval, the two were passionately in love and had two children and although Evris was a child from Elrynn’s previous marriage he was loved and raised just the same. Elrynn’s past was also never discussed in the family home.
We heard from Evris that a few weeks prior, a noble-looking drow man he had never seen before arrived at their home, talked with his mother, handed her an amulet and left. This same amulet was the one that the Lamia was looking for and the reason why Evris’s family was attacked so we decided our best lead was to track down this mysterious drow. Our wizard Merlin overheard that the mysterious visitor's name was Andras and that he was from Ered Wethrin, the neighbouring country.
In order to cross the border we had to make our way over a mountain range known as The Trespassers. The trip across the mountains was rough to say the least, after narrowly missing some giant spiders, we ended up falling unconscious due to some sort of toxic gas and woke up, naked, tied to a log and being roasted over a fire pit by some hill giants. After a WILD combat and two dead hill giants later, we decided to camp out in the caves for the night.
Evris pulled Tybalt aside for a talk and Tybalt apologised for his behaviour the last time they spoke. Evris said that although he was not sorry for what he said, he’s sorry that he didn’t know the effect that it would have on Tybalt.
The situation with Evris’s not sleeping (he was taking points of exhaustion) was also brought up and Evris admitted that he was scared that if he fell asleep he wouldn't wake up again or that he would see this entity that brought him back to life and that scared him. He doesn’t know what it means to be a cleric and everything was just too much, with his family dead, missing or turned to stone. When he started tearing up, Tybalt pulled him into a hug which startled him, but he accepted it before pulling back quickly.
Later on in the evening while on watch with our monk Yarou, Evris confessed a very traumatic event from his backstory, about how he was once in love with a boy called Fenton, and how one day Fenton and a group of his friends sexually assaulted him. The whole table listened in shocked silence, aND I WAS HAVING A FIT that myself as a player knew this but Tybalt did not, and how I had been constantly getting in Evris’s personal space. Yarou also told Evris that it seemed like Tybalt was interested in him (I WAS LIKE AAA YAROU!!??) and was probably harmless but if he did anything to hurt Evris, Yarou would stop him. But Evris assured him that he was well aware and familiar with Tybalt's type (the overly flirty playboy) and could handle himself (OUGH MY HEART,,, I promise he’s not using you Evris).
During our watch, we were ambushed by the Knights of the Radiance, the military power of Ered Wethrin. We were knocked out by poison darts and we all woke up in a cell, chained to the wall while the guards were interrogating Evris in the next cell over, asking him about a smuggling group.
After we saw one of the guards was attempting to sexually assault Evris our whole party went into an angry frenzy. Tybalt almost broke the bars down trying to get out of the cell, only managing to bend them heavily while our rogue managed to pick the lock to the door. We had a bit of a scuffle, tackling the guards until Evris announced that he was the son of Elrynn and he demanded to speak with Andras, the guards immediately froze. BUT hearing the name Elrynn they suddenly agreed?? and took us through a teleportation circle to the capital city A'latariel.
All feeling very apprehensive, we were led into A CASTLE?! Where we met with Andras who turned out to be both a prince of Ered Wethrin and Evris’s birth father?!?! So it looks like Elrynn was married to the prince!! And ran away with her halfling bard lover!!! So Evris is technically a prince??? And in line for the throne?? It was all a lot for us to take in, especially for Evris, so we stayed in a very expensive inn, ordered a huge amount of food and alcohol and put it on daddy Andras’s tab. We had a very lively conversation about how many nuns it would take to defeat 1 stone giant, and Evris being the giant expert drunkenly calculated that perhaps 1000 arcane nuns would be an adequate number.
In the meantime since we’ve been in Ered Wethrin none of us trust Prince Andras and we’re learning more about the real truth behind that amulet, we’ve also just learnt of an underground resistance group that we’re trying to get in contact with. Tybalt has been helping Evris attempt to send messages to his missing family members through sending spells. Because of this, they ended up having a heart to heart conversation while sharing a room in the inn, bonding over the shared prejudice they’ve faced for being a drow and a half orc in places where they are looked down upon unfavourably. Evris shared his personal backstory trauma relating to his sexual assault and Tybalt actually shared his as well for the first time in his life (The other players did not hear this either, but if people would like to hear Tybalt’s backstory I can to put the details in a separate under the cut post!)
In the next session I have been putting together a plan to surprise Evris with a “Lady and the Tramp” style outdoor dinner date by the ocean, with the help our our party and our new half orc friends being the butlers. Despite Evris’s previous assumptions about Tybalt, after their talk I’m hoping that he’ll think of this dinner as a sincere romantic gesture but if not I hope it's at least an entertaining distraction for him considering all the stress he’s been going through.
And that's a very brief description of what's happened since last time!! This romance is so slow-burn but I’m enjoying every minute of it. I definitely focused this recount around Evris and Tybalt but a lot has happened with the other players in the party as well! I hope you enjoyed the update and if people have any further questions I’m more than happy to answer!

Summary: A mystical war between fairy kind is soon to erupt. Ludwig, a human monk belonging to the ‘Order of Nature’, is one of the very few who can see actual fairies. After a chance meeting with Gilbert, a Winter Elemental Fairy and mischievous rogue, Ludwig is trapped in the fairy realm acting as a human delegate between the warring courts of Light King Roderich and Dark King Arthur. Instantly attracted to Gilbert, the two form a secret (but dangerous) relationship that is considered a taboo among fairy kind. But Ludwig is not the only being who has their eyes set on Gilbert. With the battle of Light verses Dark coming to a head, will Ludwig be able to bring about peace and save Gilbert? Will he keep Gilbert for himself in the human world or give up that right to become of the fairy folk?
