HOW DIFFERENT BATBOYS APOLOGIZE AFTER A ARGUMENT ââ .âŠ
a/n: Lowkey I feel like Iâm like slightest but problematic in arguments (not me exposing myself) but srs I got this request by a anon! (Here) So yeah tysmm, I wonât be writing the argument because lowkey, I canât do angst at this time đđ
(Tags: how different batboys apologize after a argument)
BRUCE WAYNE ââ .âŠ
The "I'm Sorry, ButâŠ" Apology: Bruceâs apology might be a little stiff at first. Heâs not great with words when it comes to his emotions, but he does know how to make up for things. His apology might start with something like, "I know Iâm⊠difficult, but I didnât mean to hurt you." The real comedy comes in when he tries to "fix" the situation by throwing money at itâlike suggesting an extravagant dinner or buying you a new wardrobe because, "I know it will make you feel better."
Trying Too Hard to Be âNormalâ: He might try to act like heâs ânot Bruce Wayneâ for a second, attempting to be goofy to show you heâs truly sorry. Picture Bruce awkwardly trying to make a joke: "Iâm sorry I made you feel like I was ignoring you. How about we go out⊠without my bodyguards this time? You know, like a normal date?"
The Silent Apology: More often than not, Bruce will show you heâs sorry with actions, like preparing your favorite meal or doing something thoughtful (such as leaving you a handwritten note or taking care of something you've been stressing about). But if you press him for words, he might simply mutter, âIâm not good at this⊠but I am sorry,â and leave it at that.
DICK GRAYSON ââ .âŠ
The Full-On âIâm Sorry, Please Forgive Meâ Routine: Dick is extremely sorry whenever heâs messed up, and he knows how to make it entertaining. Heâll show up with flowers, chocolates, or maybe even your favorite ice cream. And then, with a totally sincere but dramatic flair, heâll say something like, âListen, I know I was an idiot, and I have no excuse except that Iâm clearly emotionally stupid when Iâm upset. So please, for the love of all things holy, let me make it up to you.â
Humorous Apologies: Dick might also make you laugh with his over-the-top apologies. Maybe he tries to outdo himself by setting up an elaborate âromanticâ date, only for it to completely go awry (think spaghetti noodles flying everywhere or a very unromantic âromanticâ location). Heâll laugh it off, saying, âOkay, so maybe thatâs not exactly how I imagined it⊠but you have to admit, itâs unforgettable.â
The Super Dramatic âIâm Sorryâ Speech: After an argument, Dick is not shy about admitting when heâs wrong. Heâll deliver a heartfelt, exaggerated apology, something like, "I was a fool, and I see now that I was wrong. You are perfect, and I am definitely not. How do you put up with me?" Then, he might give you puppy-dog eyes, as if expecting you to immediately forgive him.
JASON TODD ââ .âŠ
The âI Know I Messed Up, But⊠Hereâs a Giftâ Approach: Jason is quick to apologize, but itâs not usually with a heartfelt speech. Instead, heâll show up with a giftâmaybe something small but thoughtful, like your favorite snack or a new book he knows youâve been eyeing. Heâll casually hand it to you and say, âAlright, alright, I messed up. But you know Iâm not great at this, so hereâs my attempt at being a decent human being.â
Comedic Self-Deprecation: Jason, knowing heâs not always the best communicator, might start with a little self-deprecating humor. "Look, Iâm sorry, okay? Youâre right, I am a jerk sometimes. But hey, at least I didnât set anything on fire this time, right?" Heâll try to make you laugh with his inability to fully express himself, but you know he means it.
The âIâm Sorry, Now Letâs Get Back to Normalâ Routine: Jason might awkwardly try to move past the argument, brushing it off with a gruff, "Look, Iâm sorry for being a pain. Can we just⊠go back to how things were?" It's not the most eloquent apology, but itâs Jason, and itâs his way of saying he wants to make things right without diving too deep into feelings.
TIM DRAKE ââ .âŠ
The "I Overthought This" Apology: Tim is a perfectionist, so when he messes up, heâll overthink how to apologize. Heâll probably try to do something really thoughtful, like writing you a letter or planning a whole day dedicated to making it up to you. But the real comedy comes when he gets so wrapped up in planning that heâs awkward about it. "I, uh, made you a list of everything I could do to make it up to you, starting with⊠well, taking you out for dinner. You like sushi, right? But if you prefer something else, I can alsoâ"
The "What Do You Need?" Routine: Tim might also take a very logical approach. Heâll ask, "What would you like me to do to fix this?" but in a way that makes it seem like heâs creating a spreadsheet of ways to apologize. "Iâve compiled some options for you to choose from. Option one: Dinner. Option two: A walk in the park. Option three: Let me do your laundry for the next weekâŠâ
The 'Nervous, Over-Apologetic' Tim: Tim is likely to be the one who apologizes over and over again. Heâll say âIâm sorryâ about a dozen times in a single conversation, with increasing levels of anxiety. "I really didnât mean it that way. Iâm so sorry. Are we okay? You donât seem mad, but if you are, I understand, and Iâm really, really sorry."
DAMIAN WAYNE ââ .âŠ
The Reluctant Apology: Damian isnât one to apologize easily, and when he does, itâs more formal. He might say something like, âI apologize for my behavior. It was uncalled for.â And then heâll awkwardly pause, before adding, "I... didnât mean to upset you." The comedic part comes when he clearly doesnât understand how heâs hurt you. He might ask, âIs there anything I can do to make it right? Or⊠was this just another one of your moods?â
The Unintentional "Nice Guy" Apology: Damian will give you something as an apologyâperhaps a bouquet of flowers or something that he âfound interesting,â but heâll likely be very stiff about it, saying something like, âThis is for you. I thought you would appreciate it. Itâs⊠an apology gift.â Heâll be surprised when you react positively, since heâs convinced that youâll just think itâs lame
A Small Gesture of Remorse: As an apology, Damian might ask you to join him for a quiet walk or for tea, giving you a rare moment of sincerity. He might even throw in a joke (but itâll be one of those very dry ones), saying, âThe tea will be of the highest quality, so I suppose that should count for something."

Do you have any advice for writing in a web serial format?
Letâs look at this in two sections â the business part, and the actual writing part.
The Business Part
1. Consistency. Consistency in updates. Have a schedule and STICK TO IT.
If your schedule is too hectic and starts affecting your health or otherwise adversely affecting your life, change the schedule; update less often. Donât update in spurts and then randomly stop. The audience will far more easily tolerate a slow schedule than an inconsistent one; an inconsistent one will lose many readers. Youâre not Andrew Hussie and you canât get away with that bullshit.
There may be times where you need to take a hiatus due to some emergency, life event, or health condition. This is fine â your wellbeing is more important than your story. But you need to be up-front with your audience about this; tell them youâre taking a hiatus and tell them exactly how long itâs going to be. If you can, you should tell them in advance (this isnât possible for things like a car accident, but is very possible if youâre planning to, say, move house in a month). If youâre taking too many hiatuses, then itâs better to slow down your schedule and update less often. Audiences prefer fast and consistent, but if they have to choose, slow is better than inconsistent.
The #1 helper to consistency is having a big buffer â that is, have several weeksâ worth of unpublished chapters. The length of your buffer is personal taste, but I like to keep mine as long as possible so that if thereâs some problem that stops me from writing for several weeks, it wonât upset the schedule. It keeps my stress down to know that I have that leeway. Other writers prefer to only write a week or two ahead, though, so different things work for different people.
2. Decide on your monetisation system early and prioritise it.
The most popular and most effective method for monetising a web serial seems to be the patronage method, which is the one I use. You set up a patreon, ko-fi, or whatever sponsorship system you prefer, and offer rewards to those who support you. Having their names in a credit list and getting access to advance chapters are very common rewards. Some people also lock access to their discord behind a paywall, or offer extra stories or let supporters name story characters.
This model is not the only way to make money from web serials. Some people make money via advertising, or selling merchandise, or use the web serial itself to advertise stories that they sell. You can of course use several revenue streams â you can have both a patreon/ko-fi and run ads on your website (I donât because I hate ads, but you can), or start selling merch related to your story once thereâs a demand for it. Many web serial authors (including myself) sell their completed works as books. But the important thing here is that one of these systems will be your main system, and you need to know what it is and behave accordingly. If you run ads AND have a patreon, are you more focused on ad revenue or patreon revenue? Youâre going to have to put your time and attention into one of them over the other. Youâre going to have to make decisions that will help one and harm the other. So know in advance which one is most important to you.
You donât have to monetise your story at all, of course. Plenty of people write fiction on the internet for free every day with no thought to making an income at all. But if youâre serious about this, I would recommend monetising it, because that makes a better and more consistent product. The reason Iâm still able to keep writing these year after year is that my supporters pay my mortgage; without Patreon and ko-fi, Iâd have to get a different job, and wouldnât have time or energy to write consistently. Also, the reason I can write and update even when I donât feel like it, and the reason I always push to make my stories as good as possible even when Iâm not interested, is because I owe it to my supporters who are paying me real actual money to read my work. If I didnât owe my readers anything, none of these stories would ever get finished, because writing is only fun about half of the time.
3. Donât expect to be able to turn this into a career.
This advice sounds silly coming from me, who has through sheer luck, as well as the generosity and passion of my readers, somehow turned this into a career. But I need to emphasise that that luck is not typical. Most web serial writers will not be able to support themselves solely with their writing. It can make a good side hustle, but if your primary goal is âlow barrier to entry work-from-home career where I donât have to answer to a boss and can support myself comfortably,â then web serial writing is usually all of those things except the last one. Thereâs no harm in trying to turn this into a career â I did it, as have many other web serial authors â but donât expect that result, is all Iâm saying.
Still, if you can do it, it does have a lot of advantages.
4. Donât expect to make money fast.
I remember when I finally started making an entire $100/month on Patreon. It was a fantastic day.
It was when Iâd been writing web serials for four years.
5. Your most valuable resource is your readership.
Your readership will grow and gather momentum over time. The best business decisions you can make are those that grow your readership and allow your readers to participate in community, even if you have to give up opportunities to make money to do it.
A good example of this is discord. Some people have private discords that only their patrons can access; while this is a useful anti-spam and anti-harassment tool, I donât recommend doing this if you donât have a major spam or harassment problem. Some people will pay for discord access, yes, so you might get a handful of extra dollars per month that way â however, you will also get a far less active discord. When it comes to readers, population density is critically important; the more activity, the more people talking about your work together (or talking about anything and bonding with each other), the better. Plenty of people have joined my free discord just because it was there and only read my stories after seeing people talk about them there. Then they go and get their friends to read the stories. Enthusiastic readers are inherently valuable, and the best thing you can do is give them the resources they need to talk to each other and share their interest.
This principle applies to a lot of things. I have a lot of free stories on my website that arenât the usual web serials, and more than once Iâve considered whether they should be paywalled. The answer I always land on is ânoâ; I couldnât tell you how many readers have been roped into my web serials because they liked Copy <|> Paste, or The Void Princess, or Drops of Blood. These readers may or may not then become monetary supporters, but even the ones who donât will increase activity and discussion about the stories, have fun and tell jokes in the discord, and may even produce fanart. A thriving community is always going to be more valuable to you than a few extra dollars; make sure to support them accordingly.
Your readership will start very small. In terms of marketing, this is your hardest time. A big readership does the majority of the marketing for you, but when youâre on your own, it takes a lot to convince anyone to give your stories a shot. It helps if you have an existing readership to leverage, which is what I did â Iâd been writing Animorphs fanfiction on AO3 for years, and many of my first readers followed me over from there. If you have such a community that already has faith in your writing, leverage it. If you donât, you can gain one my writing in a place where people go to read stories similar to your work, such as an appropriate subreddit, or a web serial site like Royal Road or Scribblehub. You are looking to gain as high a number of enthusiastic, engaged readers as possible.
And now, the fun part â the actual craft!
The Writing Part
1. Always remember that you are writing for two audiences
A web serial author has to keep two audiences in mind; the serial readers, and the bingers. You are writing a story that needs to be fun and engaging when read very slowly, at the pace of whatever your update schedule is, but that also needs to be interesting when read all at once.
This is not an easy task.
Itâs something I fucked up pretty significantly with Curse Words, which was my first attempt at this. Curse Words has a lot of complicated political stuff happening throughout pretty much the whole story, as well as a complex save-the-world plot thatâs reliant on a lot of secrets, mysteries and extremely speculative information. With so many wheels spinning, I decided to make the protagonist not particularly smart and move him very slowly through the plot to make sure that the reader would be able to keep up.
This was a mistake.
âPretty slow and simpleâ at a novel readerâs pace is torturous at a web serial pace. Readers got a full week to discuss the mysteries and implications of each chapter with each other, doing the detective work of ten chapters between each one. The frustration with Kaydenâs slow pace was clear, and he came across as an outright idiot rather than an average teen. Personally, I think this lesson was one of the biggest reasons for the difference in quality between Curse Words and Time to Orbit. Donât slow down for your audience; theyâre already slowed down by your update schedule.
At the same time, though, you donât want to move so fast that you lose the bingers. You canât assume that your readers will have time between chapters, or that they will discuss each chapter with other readers, or that they will go back over previous chapters looking for clues. Interested people reading update by update will do this, but bingers absolutely will not. So you still need to make sure that everything is comprehensible on a binge read with no backchecking or outside investigation.
My advice on this matter is to move as fast as possible, but take care to make sure that readers are reminded of everything important a few chapters before it comes into play. That way, both audiences can keep up. If you have to make a decision, itâs best to favour your update readers; theyâre your most active community. Theyâre doing the up-to-date discussion, and probably doing the most word-of-mouth and fanart, although binge readers will do that too (I have plenty of dedicated readers who wait five or six weeks to binge a bunch of chapters on purpose, just because thatâs their preferred reading style, and theyâre still very engaged). But if you plan to publish your story later as a complete work, you also need to keep in mind how itâs going to read as a binge â and also, new readers will binge the earlier chapters of your story to catch up to the current one, so make sure itâs a good experience for them or they wonât get a chance to become update readers.
Two audiences. Mind your pacing and information reveals accordingly.
2. Chapter length
The general rule of web serials is that the more often you update, the shorter your chapters should be. The generally agreed âsweet spotâ is 1-1.5k words, 3 times a week, but this depends heavily on individual style. I update once or twice a week (depending on what stories Iâve got going) and try to keep my chapters between 2 and 2.5k words. If you update once a month, your sweet spot is probably about 10k words.
Donât hold religiously to what other people tell you the ideal word count is â this will vary drastically with genre and personal style â but itâs best to try to stay fairly consistent. Itâs not always possible to stay exactly on target because the best break points between chapters will vary (Iâve got 1.8k chapters and 3.5k chapters), but readers like to be able to predict about how long an update will be and they like it to not vary too wildly too often. As with choosing your update schedule, choosing your chapter length will depend on what suits your personal schedule, and what suits the story youâre writing.
âThe shorter the chapter, the more frequent the updatesâ is a good rule for attracting the widest audience. Short, infrequent chapters will have a lot of readers losing interest between updates; long, frequent ones will have a lot of readers feeling overwhelmed. But the most important thing is finding something that you can consistently output year after year (remember, it took me 4 years to make $100/month; this is a long game).
3. Itâs a TV show, not a movie
This advice is less useful in our age of Marvel movie franchises and made-to-binge Netflix series, so pretend Iâm talking to you in the year 2010 or earlier. If a novel is a movie, a web serial is a TV show. What I mean by that is that a novel is shaped primarily as a complete experience, whereas a web serial is shaped as a chapter-by-chapter experience.
Itâs best, in both cases, to have a well structures and paced story that is made of well structured and paced chapters. But sometimes you have to choose between the structure or a chapter and the structure of the story as a whole; making one better will cheapen the other. When youâre writing a novel, you should choose the structure of the whole, but when youâre writing a web serial, you should choose the structure of the chapter. Web serial readers will prefer a chained series of excellent chapters, over a beautiful story of chapters with mediocre individual structure.
In fact, whether you want a structure to the overall story at all is personal taste. My stories have strong overall structure and move towards a planned conclusion because thatâs how I prefer to write (and it also makes the story bingeable, since itâs basically a novel being released really slowly), but plenty of web serials out there have no real planned ending and will wander about for years and years in no obviously consistent direction, occasionally throwing in a big twist or major change to freshen things up. These would make absolutely horrible novels, but make very popular web serials. Whether you write like me or like them, the rule is the same â the experience of each individual chapter takes priority.
Come to think of it, this might be why people call my stories âADHD crackââŠ
4. Okay, so how do I structure a good chapter?
I generally try to do three things in every chapter.
- Hit the ground running
- Give them something new
- End on an open question
Hit the ground running â Unless itâs the very first chapter of the story, you donât have to be coy getting into the action. Open the chapter as if itâs the middle of the chapter; start at full momentum. Catch the high point of the last chapter before it falls. It your last chapter ended with âWe checked the fingerprints on the candlestick. Itâs Colonel Mustard.â then you can start this one with âBut he was in the library at the time!â, you donât need to recap or slow down or anything.
Give them something new â Every chapter should give the reader at least one thing to talk and think about. A new choice, some new information, a shift in perspective, whatever. People are reading these updates one at a time so it is vital that they feel like they got something out of the experience. A chapter in which nothing is learned will make readers feel like their time was wasted, and they have all the time until next update to reflect on that.
This is also true of a novel, but itâs much more critical in a web serial. A novel with nothing chapters in it is just frustratingly slow-paced; a web serial with nothing chapters in it leaves the reader feeling cheated for long stretches of time.
The thing to talk about doesnât necessarily have to be a big plot reveal or major advancement. An incredibly cute scene, or sad scene, or funny scene will work just as well. But you have to give them SOMETHING. If youâre giving them nothing, consider cutting the chapter entirely and integrating any important foreshadowing or whatever into the next chapter.
One major hurdle of mine with this rule is recap chapters. If youâre writing a very complex plot over a long period of time, you need ways to occasionally take stock and make sure everyone is on the same page and nobodyâs forgotten or misinterpreted anything important. This information can be recapped or conveyed in the middle of an action sequence or something, but I personally find that putting other stuff in the scene makes it too distracting and therefore less effective. I like to literally just sit the heroes down in a room and have them go, âokay, weâre spinning a lot of threads at once right now; what do we know, what are we trying to figure out, and what are our next steps?â This is the literary equivalent of the save point or room full of health packs right before a boss battle. Game designers donât put that room there to be nice; they do it so that they know exactly how much health youâre going to have going into the battle, and can structure it accordingly.
You can make these chapters entertaining with character banter, but you canât really introduce new threads to talk about, except possibly as a twist right at the end. Introducing new information mid-recap distracts from the recap and makes it pointless. You might have something similar in your stories, chapters that are essential but donât give the reader anything new to work with.
My advice for these is to just bite the bullet on this one. Release the chapter with nothing new to talk about. You can get away with doing this occasionally, if the chapter has a clear purpose (I get a lot of readers tell me that they appreciate my recap chapters). Readers who get nothing out of the chapter will shrug and talk about older stuff instead, so long as you only do this occasionally. But a chapter with no new information has a cost in opportunity and in reader patience, so only pay it if the chapterâs worth it.
End on an open questionâ End the chapter with a reason for the reader to come back. You want them to think about the story afterward and be eager to read the next chapter when it comes out. Adhering to this principle is probably why I have such a reputation for cliffhangers, although truth be told I donât use nearly as many actual cliffhangers as people say, I just try to end by opening a question. By that I mean, the audience should always end a chapter asking a question, which can be something that will span dozens of chapters (âHow can Colonel Mustardâs fignerprints be on the candlestick? Is he being framed? Does this mean that the candlestick was in the library and isnât even the murder weapon?â) or span a single paragraph (âHow will the narrator react to learning that Colonel Mustard lied about never touchign the candlestick?â) This could be the emotional height of a scene, or the point at which new information recontextualises everything. It could be the moment where the stakes are raised or an important assumption turns out to be false. Anything that makes the audience eager to learn what happens next will do.
There should always be at least one open question in your story, more if itâs thematically appropriate. You know how mmorpgs and crafting games and suchlike keep you playing for hours and hours by making sure youâre always near the end of an activity â keep playing til you reach the next level, oh but now weâre nearly at the end of this quest so we should complete that, oh but now weâre just 20 gold short of being able to buy that cool new armour so we should just⊠same trick. Readers should always have at least one âquestâ, an open question that theyâre following, and should always be close to an answer.
You donât have to dramatically introduce an entirely new question each time; you can end a chapter by reminding the reader of an existing open question. I tend to be a fan of the Big Dramatic Reveal On The Last Line method (cliffhanger reputation), but you donât have to do it that way. Indeed, itâs a good idea not to do it that way every single time, lest you get stuck in a rut; every chapter ending doesnât have to be incredibly tense and snappy. Somebody mentioning that they wish they knew how they could get enough food to make it through the winter before a full paragraph of cuddling and falling asleep in their motherâs arms works just as well.
5. It will help if your story is good, but it isnât required.
You donât have to be very good at writing to do this.
It helps to be good at writing, of course, and I assume that since youâre asking me for tips, youâre the sort of person who wants to be as good at writing as you can. But there is some true hack garbage out there doing absolute numbers in the web serial circuit. I try not to harp on about this too much because Curse Words fans get really upset at me when I do, but I think most of us can agree that Curse Words kind of sucks. And that just sucks in an âauthor is still learning how to do thisâ kind of way; thereâs much worse writing, real bullshit Ready Player One-level writing, trucking along out there brilliantly.
The point Iâm trying to make here is that this isnât an industry where thereâs any value in hesitating and wringing your hands and asking yourself if youâre a good enough writer to do it yet. You are. You can just start writing a web serial right now and so long as you consistently update, youâre probably already above average for the market. And your first one probably will suck (mine did), but itâll teach you how to make a better one. I think that Time to Orbit: Unknown is passably okay, and it absolutely would not be passably okay if I hadnât written Curse Words first. Just go for it. Try to write a quality story if you can, but if you canât, itâs honestly not that big of a deal. What matters, truly matters, is that you are committed to improving your craft. And that means actually practicing your craft. Which means writing some chapters and setting up a release schedule.
Good luck.

At Fault | MV1
pairing: Max Verstappen x reader
summary: Max invites his ex to a gp and upsets you. Soft and stubborn Max, but heâs a cutie. A mix between angst and fluff, but mostly fluff towards the end. Lots of reader just ranting. Plus a little cameo from the Ferrari WAGs <3.
warnings: Does Kelly count as a warning? Kinda of toxic, Iâm not really sure? But who actually likes seeing their boyfriendâs ex girlfriend??
authorâs note: Italics are flashbacks! This turned out longer than expected, but I hope you guys like it! Itâs also been a while since Iâve written fics, so it there are any errors pls ignore themđ
The tension in the car was thick. So thick, Max believed he could cut it with a knife.
Your arms were crossed as you stared out the window while Max glanced at you wearily every other second. Thankfully, there were only three of you in the car. You and Max in the backseat, and the driver in front being separated by a divider. Though, Max was sure the driver was able to hear the current disagreement between you and him.
Max fidgeted with the lanyard of his paddock pass and stared at the side of your face. He knew he had upset you and honestly you had every right to be. You were biting the inside of your cheek in frustration trying to keep your emotions at bay. As much as you wanted to argue with Max about how you disagreed with his actions, he was due to race in a couple of hours and you didnât want to add any more stress on his shoulders.
But Max wanted to talk about this now while you were both alone.
âSchatje, are you really mad?â Max asked quietly, leaning closer to you and trying to get you to face him. He truly didnât mean to dampen your mood before the race. Most importantly, he didnât like that he was the reason for you being upset. Your brows furrowed ever so slightly and a faint pout was on your lips, both indications that you were in fact not happy with him.
âYes, Max, I am mad.â You answered, your voice trembling a bit. You had finally turned away from the window and were looking at him. Max felt a pang of guilt in his heart once he saw the look in your eyes. They werenât glaring at him with the heat of anger, but they were soft and glossy, you were hurtâhe hurt you.
Max cautiously reached out for your hand and tangled your fingers together, though your hand felt limp, like you didnât want to hold his hand at all.
âI told you the truth.â Max said, leaning his head down trying to catch your eyes again. You took in a deep breath before turning to fully face him.
âYes Max, you did and I absolutely appreciate it. I really do.â You began, grasping his hand between yours. âBut that doesnât make up for that fact that youâve had this planned out for nearly a month and only told me thirty minutes ago!â You argued.
Thirty minutes ago, before your ride to the paddock can pick you guys up, Max had revealed that his ex-girlfriend, Kelly, and her daughter would be at the garage to watch the race. When you asked how they got passes to the garage, he shared that he had flown them out and provided them with passes for the weekend.
âSo sheâs been here all weekend?â You questioned him, arms crossed and a brow raised at him. The Italian heat felt even ten times worse as you grew frustrated with your boyfriend.
âYeah, but they were at the Paddock Club, theyâre going to watch the race from the garage though.â Max shrugged, as if it were not a big deal. He adjusted the bag on his shoulder and grasped your hand in his free one.
You couldnât help the feeling of insecurity seeping into your bones. Kelly was rich and gorgeous, she was a model, and you werenât. You had a normal job that offered you stability, paid you good money, and you knew how to clean up nice. However, you were no where near her level of anything or any of the other WAGs at that.
âYouâve known this whole time that she was here?â You asked quietly, your brows furrowed at him. You hated that you kept asking him questions, it was like you were interrogating him.
Max looked down at you, confusion etched on his face, âI did, schatje. I flew them out and got them some paddock passes.â You acted before you could speak, and shook your head at him, rolling your eyes in annoyance. Your boyfriend was one of the sweetest people youâve ever met, however, many people took that as a sign to take advantage of him. While it took him longer to realize it, you noticed it instantly.
âI donât understand why youâre so upset though, I told you the truth, itâs not like Iâm doing anything with her.â Max defended himself, his hands wildly moving around. âShe reached out telling me that P missed me and wanted to come to a race, itâs not for her, itâs for Penelope.â
âI understand that Max and as harsh as this sounds, Penelope isnât your responsibility. I get that you helped raise her, but you guys broke up, you donât need to provide for her anymore.â You threw a hand in the air, emphasizing your point. âKellyâs fully capable of flying herself out and buying tickets to a race weekend.â
âI was just being nice.â Max raised his voice, also growing frustrated with the situation.
âAnd sheâs still using you!â You fumed, tears welled in the corner of your eyes. âHow many times does she have to use you for you to realize it? You guys broke up and she still manages to get what she wants out of you! Do you know how embarrassing it is to walk in and see her there?â You tried to reason with him. While many of his fans didnât approve of Kelly, you knew Twitter would have a field day clowning you when they find out Kelly was present in the garage. Social media was never always a nice place and youâve learned to ignore it, but that didnât mean it stopped the hate from happening.
Max ran a hand through his hair and sighed.
âThis is ridiculous.â He muttered under his breath, you scoffed and leaned back into your seat, staring at the window again.
âDo you not trust me?â Max asked forcibly, staring at the side of your head again. You let out a defeated sigh and turn your head to look at him, âI do trust you, Max.â
Maxâs shoulders slouched as he leaned on the seat sideways, his body fully turned to you.
âThen why do you not trust me with this?â He pushed, nudging your knee with his, trying to get an answer out of you. He knew he was at fault and he just wanted to make it right.
âI donât trust her.â You simply answered, feeling done with the conversation. The car turned, nearing the entrance of the paddock. You sniffled as you untucked your hair from behind your ears, removing your sunglasses from the top of your head.
âYou donât have to worry about her, schatje. I want you not her, thereâs a reason why we broke up.â Max reassured, trying to ease the tension between the two of you.
The car came to a halt, a knock came from the driver, indicating that you guys arrived at the paddock. Before you could leave, you turned to Max and said, âYet, sheâs still here.â
àŹâËâĄâ âč
Entering the paddock was always a frenzy. The moment you stepped out the car, fans were quick to recognize you, knowing that one of their favorite drivers were right behind you. You slid your sunglasses on and smoothed out the white maxi dress you wore. Max followed in suit and flashed a smile at the fans.
Shouldering his bag, he held his hand out to you, âI know youâre upset, but can I please hold your hand?â
You nodded and entangled your fingers with his. The two of you began your walk into the paddock hand in hand, as fans screamed and waved at Max. He gave your hand a squeeze before guiding you guys to some of the barricades and signing a few things for the fans.
After you guys scanned your passes, Max led you guys to the Red Bull garage. However, you came to a halt. Max was quick to look back at you, âYou okay?â
âYeahâIâm gonna meet up with Alex and Rebecca, if thatâs okay? We were planning on seeing each other before the race.â You tell him. A small pout formed on Maxâs lips, âOh, okay, Iâll drop you off.â He offered, still holding your hand.
You and the girls decided to meet up at the Paddock Club. In front of the entrance, Max stood in front of you.
âYouâll come to the garage to watch, right? I need you there.â He asked quietly, so that people passing by cannot hear your conversation.
You nodded, âYeah, Iâll be there before youâre in the car.â
Max mirrored your actions, âOkay, I love you.â He pulled you in by the waist and pressed a kiss onto your forehead. You squeezed his waist in response, âI love you too.â
Max watched as you entered the building, huffing to himself, while he watched you walk further and further into the building.
Placing your sunglasses above your head, you scan the room until you see one of the girls, Alex was the first to spot you, standing in her spot and waving at you to come over.
âCoucou mon amour!â She greeted you, (Hello, my love!) immediately wrapping you in a hug. You squeal as she squeezed you, âHelloo!â You giggled. You go to greet Rebecca, who is immediately giving you a knowing look. Being the older one amongst the three of you, she was often looked up to as the older sister.
She wrapped an arm around you and smoothed your back, âWhatâs wrong?â She asked while you got situated in the chair beside her.
You shook your head, âItâs just Max.â
Rebecca grabbed the bottle of champagne on the table and poured some into a flute glass. She offered you the glass, âThank you, I needed this.â
She smiled watching you take a long sip from the glass, âOh honey, I know.â
Alex pouted and nudged your foot with hers, âWhat happened with Max?â
âHe invited Kelly to watch the race at the garage today.â You bluntly shared, slumping yourself in your chair.
Rebeccaâs eyes widened, âShut up.â
You raised a brow at her, âOh, I didnât even get to the kicker yet.â
Alexâs brows raised, âWhich is?â
âHe flew her outâhe fucking flew her out and gave her tickets for the entire weekend.â You revealed through gritted teeth, still being aware of your surroundings. Rebecca cursed under her breath as Alex took your glass and refilled it with champagne.
Grabbing the glass, you continued, âSheâs literally been here all weekend and he only told me this morning. I just donât get it, they broke up, I donât know why heâs still so concerned about her.â You took another long sip of champagne,
âWhat was the reason why?â Rebecca asked you.
âApparently Penelope missed himâwhich I can believe, but did he really have to do all the providing when she can financially support herself? I get that he was trying to be nice, but still.â You grunt, fiddling with your glass.
Alex comfortingly rubbed your arm, âNo, I get it, if Charles did the same thing with his ex, Iâd also be upset.â
âI literally told him that sheâs using him once again.â You threw your hands up. âIf he wants her to be there so much, he might as well just get back with her. Likeâam I crazy for losing my mind at the fact they were in contact with each other, even if it wasnât in a romantic sense?â
Rebecca shook her head, âNo, your feelings are absolutely valid. Youâre just concerned and it obviously caught you off guard. He shouldnât have been texting his ex in the first place.â
You groaned and held your head in your hands, âI hate feeling like this, it makes me question if he actually wants to be with me or not.â
Rebecca held her finger up, âIâm gonna stop you right there.â Placing her hand on your shoulder she says, âMax might be acting very stupid right now, but one thing I know for sure is that Max loves you and absolutely adores you. Without a doubt.â
Alex nodded, agreeing with Rebecca, âLike have you seen the way he looks at you? He literally worships the ground you walk on. Iâm sure heâs beating himself up right now for doing what he did.â
âHe loves you, (y/n), everyone whoâs seen you guys together knows it. I donât think heâd put himself in this kind of position on purpose, youâve got that man wrapped around your finger, babe.â Rebecca reassured you, throwing her arm around your shoulder and pulling you into another hug.
âCome on cheer up, who cares if sheâs in the garage today? Youâre the one heâs gonna be going home with tonight.â You laughed shaking your head at her teasing.
âHey! Tonight and every single night!â Alex pointed out raising her glass at you.
àŹâËâĄâ âč
Two hours. Itâs been two hours since Max has dropped you off at the Paddock Club and he still hasnât heard back from you. Heâs been distracted all day. During a meeting with Christian and some of the engineers, he couldnât help but constantly check for a text from you, earning himself a scolding from the team principal. Checo and a couple of people from the team tried talking to him, but he wasnât paying attention. His eyes wandered wondering when you would enter the garage.
He did in fact see Kelly and Pâobviously he was expecting to see them since he invited them, but all he felt while talking to them was guilt. Guilty because he remembered the look of hurt and betrayal in your eyes and how he was the reason behind it. He hated it, he felt grimy, and dirty for going behind your back and texting Kelly. Not even ten minutes into catching up with the mother and daughter, Max realized that you were in fact correct. Kelly had used him again, instantly making advances on him despite knowing he was happily taken. But for the sake of P, Max made sure to be friendly though kept his distance to not feed into her motherâs schemes.
It was nearing lights out and you were still not in the garage. He had gone through his warm ups with Bradley, had his fireproofs and suit on, and even laced up his shoes. Still, no sight of you whatsoever in the garage. He was beginning to worry about you, sending you a couple of messages to your phone.
The car was due to be on the grid and there was about half an hour left till lights out. Max looked around the bustling garage, checking to see if you had snuck in without him seeing, though to no avail, you still werenât there.
âMaxâŠMaxâŠMax?â GP tried to get Maxâs attention. Snapping a finger in front of the driverâs face, Maxâs eyes flickered over to his race engineer.
âWhat do you want now?â Max groaned, throwing his head back. To onlookers, it looked like a typical interaction between Max and GP. Though, GP felt like he was babysitting a child whose attention span couldnât focus on one thing for more than a few seconds.
âMate, Iâve been talking to you for the past five minutes.â GP claimed. Choosing to ignore the information he had just âbriefedâ Max on, he decided to be a friend.
âWhereâs your head at?â GP asked Max. The Dutch man sighed, leaning against one of the storage units in the garage.
âI messed up with (y/n). I did something and it was my fault, I know it was. But sheâs not happy with me at the moment and I just want to make it right.â Max summarized, not sharing any more details to protect the privacy of your relationship.
GP motioned towards Kelly who was talking to one of the other influencers in the garage, âDoes it have to deal with that?â
âUnfortunately.â Max mumbled, crossing his arms and choosing to stare at the floor.
GP took a minute to stare at his driver. Max was deflated, he wasnât as hyped for the race or over explaining some random fact about god knows what. Instead, Max kept to himself, greeting people when he had to and communicating with his team prior to the race. Other than that, Max chose to stare at his phone and look longingly outside the garage.
âListen, I donât know what exactly went down. But Iâve seen you with (y/n) and she clearly makes you happy, weâve all see how lively you are with her around. Youâve got a lot of groveling to do bud, but itâll be worth it.â GP advised, clapping Max on the back to wake him up.
âSheâll always be worth it.â Max quietly said, taking another glimpse at his phone. Only to be met with his wallpaper of you and him, with no notifications.
àŹâËâĄâ âč
Christian Horner stared at his monitor at the pit wall watching as drivers and their teams gathered on the grid. He saw Checo by his car, taking a few sips of water before the race. When the camera panned to Maxâs Red Bull, the driver was no where to be seen. Sparing him a second of wondering where his driver was, the camera cut to the garage where Max stood, race suit at his waist, looking no where near ready to participate in the race.
âWhy is Max not in the car?â He turned to GP, stress evident on his face. GP turned in his seat and looked back into the garage to see Max pacing. Cursing under his breath, he excused himself from Christian and rushed to Max.
âMax, the race is literally about to start!â
Max stops his pacing and places his hands at his hips, âI need my girlfriend.â
âWhat?â Bradley and GP both stuttered out. Max deadpanned at the two men in front of him.
â(Y/n), I need to see her before the race.â Max demanded. Bradley pinched the bridge of his nose, âMax, sheâll be here after the race, youâll be fine.â He pushed the balaclava towards Maxâs chest, who simply let the mask fall at his feet.
GP sighed at Max, before calling one of the Red Bull employees.
âPlease send out a search for (y/n), Max is refusing to get in the car.â He whispered to the intern. The girl looked at him confusingly but nodded and set out the garage.
àŹâËâĄâ âč
You rushed as best as you could in kitten heels towards the Red Bull garage. You were supposed to be at the garage at least half an hour ago. You and the girls got caught up catching up with each otherâs lives that none of you realized it was getting close to lights out. It truly was a funny sight, the three of you rushing out of the Paddock Club and running through the paddock like a bunch of maniacs.
â(Y/n)!â You heard someone yell. You stopped in your steps and looked around, only to see a girl dressed in Red Bull uniform. You recognized her, you believed her name was Nicole and was an intern for the team this season.
âHey! Is Max on the grid already?â You approached her, a little sad that you missed seeing him before the race.
âNo, heâs actually waiting for you. Theyâre sending out a search for you because heâs refusing to get in the car.â Nicole explained, placing a gentle hand on your back and guiding you through the crowd of fans and towards the garage.
àŹâËâĄâ âč
GP released a sigh of relief once he saw you enter the garage. He shoved Maxâs shoulder to avert his attention to you.
âWhatâoh,â Max began, only to stop himself and rush towards you. You met him half way, placing a hand on his elbow.
âIâm so sorry, I didnât meant to stay there for too long.â You quickly apologized. Max shook his head, âI donât care, Iâm just happy youâre here.â
Your brows furrowed at him, âWhy are you here? Why arenât you in the car yet?â
Max placed both his hands on your waist with a faint blush on his cheeks, âI need my goodluck kiss.â
You paused your actions, âYouâre kidding me. Max, the race is about to start in five minutes!â You scolded your boyfriend.
âPlease, schatje.â He pleaded, leaning closer towards you. Other team members and guests watched the both of you, the scene in front of them peaking their interests.
You gazed up at his stormy eyes, giving in because you knew he was stubborn and wouldnât stop until he got his way. Plus, the team would hate you if you lowered their chances of scoring points this weekend.
âJust because I kiss you doesnât mean Iâm not mad at you anymore.â You clarified quietly. His forehead nodded against yours, âI know schatje. I promise to make it up to you, I really do.â
A small smile forms on your lips, âI know, Maxie.â
Max takes that as his sign to crash his lips onto yours. One of his hands support the back of your neck while the other rests on your lower back. You smile against his lips, pulling back and placing a peck right above the small mole on his upper lip.
âI love you.â You whispered to him.
âI love you too.â He whispered back. Before you can fully pull away from him he quickly adds, âIâm serious about my promise.â
âI know, baby.â You squeeze him comfortingly. âNow get out there and win the race. Stay safe.â
He pressed a kiss to your forehead as both you and GP ushered him towards his gear thatâs been waiting to be put on.
àŹâËâĄâ âč
A man of his word, Max won the race. With at least a five second gap between him and Lando, your boy was top step yet once again. As much as he won, the thrill of seeing him win and crossing the finish line never got old. You celebrated every win of his as if it were his first. Youâd always be proud of him, whether he got pole or not.
Many of the engineers and members of the team began to rush towards the grid, eager to greet Max once he got out the car.
Looking around, you suddenly make eye contact with Kelly, who seemed to have been sizing you up. You werenât really sure what look was on her face, but the hints of a snarl were on her lips. With her nose stuck up in the air, you watched as she carried her daughter and began to follow the rest of the team.
âDonât mind her. Youâre the one he wants to see when he gets out that car.â A voice said from beside you. You jumped, coming face to face with Christian. Your eyes widened at your boyfriendâs boss. Prior to the race, he was informed of the search party the entire team had for you to get Max in the car. While he was annoyed earlier, he thought it was rather cute that Max was so fond of you.
âYou know, heâs never begged her for a good luck kiss.â Said Christian, a knowing look on his features. âYou on the other handâhe canât seem to function whenever youâre not around.â
âIâm sorry, I didnât know he was gonna put that much of a fight earlier today.â You apologized, feeling a bit flustered. âHeâs a bit stubborn sometimes.â You added, to which Christian chuckled at.
âOh, I know. Max and I have worked together for years.â He stated. He glanced out the garage and motioned towards it, âCâmon now, Iâm sure heâs already looking for you.â
àŹâËâĄâ âč
You make your way through the crowd of Red Bull members, many of them recognizing you and helping you squeeze through till you were at the very front of the barricade.
Max was already out, helmet in his hand, while his other embraced GP and a couple other engineers. You watched as he high-fived Penelope, barely sparing a glance at her mother. A little burst of pride went off in your stomach, you couldnât help it.
His blue orbs scanned the crowd of red and blue, looking for you. You yell his name, his eyes immediately finding yours. A smile breaks out on his face as he rushed over to you, dropping his helmet in the process. Despite the barricade between you two, he wraps both his arms tightly around you, lifting you off the ground.
âMax!â You squealed, your arms wrapping around his neck. His large hand found your cheek, slightly pulling you away from his neck so he can connect his lips with yours. Naturally, your lips moulded perfectly against his moving in synch. The team erupted in cheers around you.
âIâm so proud of you!â You tell him once your lips separate.
âI couldnât have done it without you.â He grins, gently pinching your bottom lip between his pointer finger and thumb.
He couldnât stay long, being told that he had to get to the podium for the trophy ceremony.
âIâll see you after the podium, schatje!â He yelled with a wink over his shoulder, causing a blush to form on your cheeks.
àŹâËâĄâ âč
The ceremony and the media tent took a while, you finally got to see Max an hour later. You were sitting in his driverâs room, when he bursted through the door already looking for you.
You stood up, smiling at him, âHey.â
He mirrors your smile. Placing the trophy on the couch he opens his arms for you. You walk into the comfort of his hold, burying your head into the crook of his neck and wrapping your arms around his torso.
Finally it was just the two of you.
âIâm sorry.â You said, though it came out muffled against his skin. Maxâs hands stopped the circular motions they were rubbing on your back.
âFor what?â
You pulled back looking at him, âI overreacted about the whole Kelly thing. I shouldâve taken your word for it.â
Max immediately shook his head, disagreeing with you. âNo, you were absolutely right about her. I shouldâve listened to you from the beginning. The moment I said hi to them she was already trying to come onto meâI avoided her by the way, I just entertained P.â
âIâm also sorry for what I said about P. I was in the wrong for that comment.â You said, a small grimace on your face when you remembered the off hand comment you made about the poor child.
Max chuckled, âSchatje, seriously, itâs okay.â
His calloused hands were rough against the soft skin of your face. He tucked a strand of hair behind your ear and cradled your jaw in his hand.
âI may have a soft spot for P, but theyâre in my past. Youâre my future, (y/n). The future that I only want and see myself in.â Max admitted. Your eyes gleamed at him, âYouâre the future I want too, Maxie.â
âGood because youâre not getting rid of me that easily. Youâre stuck with me.â He joked, squeezing your cheeks.
âI love you. So much. I know it seemed like I didnât trust you today, but I want you to know that I do. I fully trust you with my life and I mean it.â You said, your fingers playing with the ends of his hair at the nape of his neck.
Max nodded, âI believe you. I love you too.â
The two of you basked in the silence and comfort of being in each others arms. Max was the first one to break the silence, âYou donât have plans after this right?â
You hummed against his neck, âBesides celebrating your win, nothing. Why?â
âBecause Iâm taking you out on a date.â Max proudly announced, a goofy smile on his lips.
âDonât you wanna celebrate with the team?â You asked him. Max shook his head, âNope, the only person I want to celebrate with tonight is you.â
You giggled at Maxâs antics, âWhatever you say, Champ.â

I've been messaging with a 17yo kid from Gaza, named Nader.
When I asked what he wanted people to know about his family's situation, he immediately answered "the bitter cold".
His other answer was about how incredibly expensive everything is in Gaza right now. Here's context: https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2024/10/16/how-much-does-food-cost-in-gaza
Can you imagine being in this situation? Made homeless where the stores are no longer getting consistent deliveries and might be bombed, the government is barely operating cuz it keeps getting bombed, there's not even charity getting into your besieged area, and most people's jobsâincluding your big brother'sâhave been bombed beyond repair?
Where it's getting so cold and you CAN'T get warm because you're relying on strangers to help you get that coat or blanket, or bc you need the little money that trickles in to just survive??
And can you imagine living this way for OVER A YEAR as a normal teenager who has a little brother and a baby niece with malnutrition to stress about too?
I know people are tired of hearing about Gaza. It's upsetting that this genocide has continued so long with so few powerful people even trying to stop it. But we have a responsibility to our fellow humans, to help them survive persecution.
Nader is seventeen. None of this should be on his shoulders. Please help his family be safe so he can stop feeling like it's his job to make sure his family has what they need.
This campaign was verified as authentic by gazavetters (#4 on this spreadsheet), which I have seen Palestinians I trust cite as a trusted source.
Can you give up one treat this week to help Nader's family have the basics?
If you donate at least $10 and comment on this post with proof, I'll record a silly voice message for you or draw you a post it note doodle!

Vanilla Frosting
Pairing: CEO!Bucky Barnes x Female Reader
Summary: Bucky takes a call at home and you decide to tease him a bit.
Word Count: Over 1k
Warnings: Established relationship, banter, teasing, dirty thoughts, very slight feels (it's me), Bucky Barnes (he's a warning, okay?) and he worships you.
A/N: I blame these photos as they gave me CEO vibes. And @whisperlullaby and @targaryenvampireslayer . Again, before our couple has Muffin and Bean. â€ïž Not beta read and written on my phone, so any and all mistakes are my own. Please follow @navybrat817-sideblog for new fics and notifications. Comments, reblogs, feedback are loved and appreciated!
âI thought you said no calls, Boss.â
Bucky sighed and rolled up his sleeves as he looked toward the kitchen. You stood in the doorway with crossed arms and slow building irritation in your eyes. The sight of you always lightened his mood and made his heart race, but that look wasn't a good sign. Oh, he was in trouble.
Some sort of trouble.
As a CEO, he was always prepared to take the fall when it came to his company. Seeing your kissable mouth set in a grim line though? âItâs Steveâs fault,â he blurted out, throwing his best friend under the bus without hesitation.
âReally, Buck?â Steveâs voice rang out from the laptop speaker.
âYeah, really,â he snapped. When Steve found a partner like you, heâd get why he bent his will to you over everyone else. Hell, he welcomed Steve getting a bit of payback because it would mean his best friend would have found happiness. âIâm sorry, Cupcake,â he added in a softer tone to you.
He didnât want to take the call, he really didnât. All he wanted to do was hold you and forget about the stress of work for an evening. He even assured you that there would be no work tonight, but Steve insisted he get on a video chat with some of the executive team. God knew the punk was relentless, but the unimpressed look on your face made him want to fire everyone and start from scratch.
The two of you had plenty of money, so youâd be set if he went that route.
âSteveâs fault, huh?â You slowly smiled after a moment. âOkay. You take the call and Iâll start making some cupcakes.â
Bucky cocked his head with a confused stare as you went further into the kitchen and out of sight. Baking cupcakes wasn't out of the ordinary for you, but you saying âokayâ wasn't okay. He knew better. There was no possible way he was off the hook for this. He already had at least ten gifts in mind to buy you once the call wrapped up.
âI love you,â he called after you, not at all ashamed for anyone to hear that as they joined the meeting. If anyone eyeballed him or said an unkind word about voicing his feelings for you outside of the office, they could find another job.
âLove you, too!â You called back.
That brought a small smile to his face. âLetâs get started so we can all get back to our regular evening plans,â he said, trying to keep the annoyance out of his tone.
After a minute, he glanced over the monitor as he heard gentle movement in the kitchen. You weren't slamming things around, which was good. You understood how crazy things could get since you were his secretary. It didn't mean he enjoyed taking time away from the two of you and he didnât want you upset with him. Even if you weren't upset, he still had to make it up to you. He-
âHey, Bucky?â Your eyes lit up as you appeared in the doorway again with a small bowl. He was certain he forgot how to breathe when he eyed what you were wearing: a new black and white apron. And nothing else. Jesus fucking Christ. âYou want vanilla frosting for the cupcakes, right?â
Bucky subtly shifted in his seat as you sauntered further into the room, his throat dry at the sight of you. The curve of your hips, your hardened nipples teasing him through the fabric. Calling you beautiful wasn't enough. Your beauty was transcendent, indescribable. The kind that made the strongest of people drop to their knees. He was a powerful man, but still just a man at the end of the day and you rendered him powerless. And right now he needed to focus on the call, but how could he focus on anything but you?
He cleared his throat when Jack rambled on about something. Or was it John? Who gave a fuck? âCupcake,â he growled.
âI know I do. Maybe you can frost me later?â You scooped a bit of frosting onto your finger and wrapped your lips around it with an obscene moan. Thankfully he had his microphone turned off. They didn't need to hear your pretty sounds. âMmm.â
He groaned when you showed him your tongue. He knew it was frosting, but the image made it easy to picture you wrapping your warm mouth around his cock and showing him his release before you swallowed like a good girl. It took a lot of control not to palm himself. Surely everyone would understand if he ended the call now. Why the fuck did he take this call?
Making sure his hand was out of sight, he beckoned you closer with his finger. If he was lucky he could get you to take the apron off, sit in the nearby chair, and touch yourself. Or you could keep the apron on. As long as he could see your glistening pussy. Even looking wouldn't be enough. He had to get his mouth on it, his cock in it.
But you didn't go to him.
Instead, you tsked with the finger you licked and pointed at the laptop. âOh, no, Boss. You listened to Steve and took the call. Now deal with the consequences,â you smiled sweetly, turning on your heel and giving him the perfect view of your ass as you walked back into the kitchen.
Yep, he was in big trouble.
Bucky's fists clenched as he got back to the task at hand, but he also chuckled. He deserved a bit of blue balls for the time being. He also had to respect the way you played the game, but he knew how to play the game, too. Before the night was over, heâd be back in your good graces. Heâd eat one of your delicious cupcakes before he got a taste of you. And he'd remind you that he didn't have the world because of money, power, or any of that.
Bucky Barnes had the world because he had you.
Oh, these two. đ„° Steve isn't even upset for getting blamed. đ€Ł Love and thanks for reading! â€ïž

iâm here speaking on behalf of mahmoud. (@ma7moudgaza2)
i talk to mahmoud every day, and honestly? the situation heâs in terrifies me. i could not imagine what heâs going through, and the fact that he has no escape haunts me.
to those of you reading this who need to hear it;
i understand that activism burns a lot of people out. itâs stressful to fight. itâs terrifying to be in palestine, in congo, in sudan right now. itâs exhausting to help fight, day after day after day. but you need to keep helping. sit down for a second of you need it, and then stand up, dust off your clothes, and keep on walking.
the world will not be rebuilt in a day. but we keep fighting nonetheless.
back to the post:
i had to edit a lot of what mahmoud said, for both conciseness and clarity. but here is the exact copy.
âOh Lord...â was the last word I said before going to sleep, and it came out of me with a flame of burning and fear. I prayed and sat in my tent, looked up at the sky through the cracks of the tent, and recalled what had happened during the year. My tears flowed, my head began to hurt, and suffocation was killing my chest.   I usually turn on the internet after dinner, but tonight I didn't want to. I wanted to go out, but where should I go? for whom?
Imagine yourself in my place. Around 20 members of my family, I remembered my beautiful memories and the news of my friendsâ death. My body shook and I sat on the floor, and the screams of my mother and sisters filled the place. I wanted to sleep and didn't want to wake up.  I remembered how I walked with 10 children from north to south. The responsibilities I carry are greater than I can handle. I remembered searching for a home for my family, standing in line to get food, and how upset the people closest to us were.
I woke up to my motherâs voice asking me: âWhatâs wrong with you, Mahmoud?â I went out, but I felt strange and I came back and sat at the tent door feeling suffocated.  I reassured myself of returning, but I remembered that our house had been bombed, and there was nothing left. I put the pillow on my head and said, âLord, you are hers.â  I woke up today and we were afraid, but thank God, nothing happened. I wasn't going to work, but I was encouraged.  I'm really suffocated and I have nothing. The only thing left is the money from the fundraising campaign you launched. I was hesitant to ask for help, but now I have no choice.
I ask you for help. $10 could save me and my family. If you can't, participate in the campaign. You are the only hope.
if mahmoudâs story doesnât speak to you, i donât know what i can say that can.

summary: You and Rafe are using each other until you decide that's not what you want anymore, and the spoiled rich kid will do whatever it takes to have his expensive toy back in his bed.
â
Your door shut behind you with a resounding click, and once in the comfort of your home, you took the time to decompress. You took advantage of your much needed reprieve, the back of your head grazing the wood as you allowed your eyes to fall closed. Your heart was still beating wildly in your chest, and you wondered if a day would come where it ever wouldnât. After all, this wasnât exactly ânewâ anymoreâŠ
It had been five months since you buried your mom, five months since you discovered the mountain of debt sheâd done an impressive job of hiding from you, and five months since you thought youâd be homeless on the street in less than one. In two weeks, youâd dealt with a loss you didnât think youâd have to for at least another forty years or so and took on the kind of responsibility you didnât think youâd have to for at least another three.
Your mom died 152 days agoâŠ
âŠand youâd started fucking Rafe Cameron less than a month later.
You liked to pretend to not know why you slept with Kildareâs prime rich boy that fateful Saturday night, but you were far more self aware than you wanted to be. Even if you werenât, it wasnât exactly some mysterious string of decisions that lead to being tangled up in the sheets with Sarahâs asshole of an older brother. You didnât need to pay someone to diagnose you.
You were grieving.
It was really just that simple, and the monetary stress on top of that drove you to find comfort in strange drinks and hard drugs. To this day you still didnât know if Rafe just happened to be at the right place at the right time or if he heard whispers about John B.âs best friend snorting pills and getting shit faced when her usual crowd was looking the other way, but either way, the stuffy Kook clearly saw an opportunity to kill several birds with one stone.
âFirst two lines are free,â heâd told you that night, the bass of the music downstairs muffled by the expensive walls of some girlâs house.
You remembered how youâd chuckled, drunkenly shaking your head.
âWell, two lines is all Iâm doing, I guess,â youâd murmured, throwing your hands up.
Rafeâs smirk had been cruel, a mocking glint in his blue eyes.
âWhat?â heâd dragged out, head tilted. âSpent all that life insurance money, already?â
Any other time and Rafeâs insensitivity mightâve upset you, but at the time youâd been drunk out of your mind and looking for more ways to forget the sudden absence in your life.
âI canât imagine why Sarah hates you,â youâd sarcastically replied, approaching the impressive desk and leaning over to inhale a line.
You wiped your nose as you straightened, lashes fluttering as you ignored the feeling of Rafeâs gaze on you.
âIâll be lucky if I even have a house to live in next week.â
The words had come out slurred, accompanied by a light chuckle, and deep down youâd felt the flutter of stress that youâd been desperately ignoring for weeks. Youâd quickly snorted the other line, closing your eyes for a moment.
âTurns out my mom was skilled at hiding more than just illnessesâŠâ
You remembered the silenceâfrom both you and Rafeâand how in that moment youâd allowed yourself a solid four seconds of lingering on the reality of your predicament. In those four seconds, your eyes had watered and your lips had trembled and your throat had tightened, and after those four seconds, you were turning to Rafe with a haughty smile.
âGuess you wonât be finding a new client in me, huh?â youâd wondered with a shrug, finding a seat on the desk.
Rafeâs blue gaze had been unreadable as he eyed you, sitting in the chair at the desk, legs spread as he ran his eyes over youâslowly and in a way you didnât hate at the time. You hadnât been able to tell what he was thinking, although looking back, you wondered how it wasnât so obvious to you then. Maybe because it was just too cruel of a thought, and while it was no secret Rafe was a spoiled asshole, you had never once thought of him as cruel.
Rafe had merely shrugged.
âThereâs plenty of fish in the sea,â heâd slowly said, the corner of his pink lips curving upwards just a tad. âBesidesâŠâ
Youâd watched him stand, rounding the desk to come and tower over you where you sat.
âI like to think of myself as a pretty ethical kind of guyâŠâ
Youâd started to snort at that before his gaze met yours again, and you found yourself swallowing whatever you were about to say. You hadnât done a thing when Rafe reached up to touch your arm, the feel of his finger so light. You hadnât wanted to acknowledge the way your heart skipped a beat at both his close proximity and the change in atmosphere. You hadnât been able to ignoreâhoweverâthe heat that settled in the pit of your stomach.
â...and Iâve been known to meet people halfway. Accept whatever they can offerâŠâ
You remembered your internal conflict that night.
Youâd been drunk and high and sadâŠnot stupid. You knew exactly what Rafe was insinuating to you, and youâd struggled with the idea of really sleeping with Rafe Cameron for more drugs. The man was far from unattractive, sure that if drugs werenât involved youâd still consider sleeping with him. If youâd believed in any of that, youâd imagine that your mom was turning over in her grave. At the time though, you hadnât been quite sure as to what you believed in, so when he took your silence for consent, leaning in and touching your nose with hisâŠ
You hadnât stopped him when he closed the distance.
You hadnât even known whose house you were at, only internally apologizing to them for having sex on their expensive desk. You didnât know if it was the drugs or the alcohol or simply Rafe Cameron, but it was easily the best sex youâd ever had in your life, and at one point youâd really considered how much better it could possibly be to fuck him without the condom.
You had no idea that youâd eventually find out.
Once dressed, youâd walked home with a small bag of pills and a satisfied grin. You knew that your friends would host some kind of intervention if they ever found out, but all youâd been able to focus on was the simple fact that fucking Rafe Cameron for a little coke and pills wasnât sounding like the worst idea. Of course, if youâd known that youâd eventually start fucking him for your livelihood, you mightâve made different choices that night.
You pressed your hand to your face and pushed away from the door, eager to start the shower and scrub the stench of him off of you. Per routine, you took the money out of your pocket before getting undressed, eyeing the wad of one hundreds that now sat on your nightstand. Two grand was nothing to someone like him, but to someone like you, it made all the difference in the world.
âŠand Rafe knew that.
Heâd known that when he handed you a thousand dollars one night, the coke in your system just starting to hit. Youâd looked up at him from where you sat in confusion, hesitantly wrapping your hand around the money as you alternated between eyeing it and eyeing him. You hadnât known how to feel about it, especially since it had only been moments ago when he was inside of youâŠand there he was handing you a grand in hundreds.
âDonât look like that,â Rafe had chuckled, walking to his dresser in search of a shirt. âYou know you need the money.â
He wasnât wrongâŠand that was the problem.
Unless you hit a lucky streak in life, youâd always need the money, and that was exactly why you were in the predicament you were inâfour months later and putting up with the monster that was Rafe Cameron just to keep a roof over your head. The thought brought tears to your eyes, positive now that your mom could see you and was beyond disappointed in you.Â
Her disappointment could only be outdone by your own.
You were in a situation that you couldnât get out of, on the verge of ending this arrangement so many times before asking yourself what better way could you pay your momâs debts and survive? It wasnât easy money by far, but it was fast money, and it was the kind of money that would take months to make at whatever low paying job youâd find around Outer Banks. Someone like you rarely got hired at the country club or working for some rich snob who wiped their ass with the kind of money you needed.
Rafe knew this too.
Tears kissed your eyes as you scrubbed your skin raw, wishing that you could scrub away the nasty bruise right along with the sweat and grime. You winced every time you touched it, cursing the blond and feeling one of those moments where you considered blocking him and moving on from this pathetic era in your life for good.
Fucking Rafe Cameron for drugs didnât seem like a bad idea at the time, fucking him for money seemed like an even better oneâŠuntil that entitled attitude started to extend to the woman he was paying good money to have access to. You remembered the first time you opposed something he wanted to do, the way in which he ignored you, the way he merely pressed your face into the pillow to shut you up.
It was the first time you felt truly icky about this whole situation.
Not even just icky.
âŠbut afraid.
âI donât pay you to tell me what you will and wonât do in bed,â heâd chuckled at you like it was the funniest thing heâd ever heard.
Youâd still been trembling and wiping mascara from your cheeks.
âI pay you because I want to fuck you,â heâd slowly whispered to you, leaning in. â...and you let me because you donât want to be sleeping on the beach.â
Heâd held your gaze for what felt like too long, impressing upon you the true dynamic of this arrangement, and you remembered the unease that had festered in your gut that day. Maybe all the drugs and alcohol hadnât allowed you to fully look at this arrangement for what it was and the power imbalance here, but you had for the first time that day, and you hadnât liked it.
You liked it even less now, wrapping the towel around you and wondering how you were ever going to get out of this predicament youâd put yourself into.
âMy familyâs going out of town for the weekend,â the familiar blond mumbled to you as he inhaled a familiar powdery substance off the back of his hand. âPack a bag when you get home, and Iâll pick you up tomorrow night.â
You resisted the urge to roll your eyes at that, huffing instead.
âI canât spend the whole weekend on Figure 8,â you told him. âI have plans.â
Rafe nodded, and you hated the smile that danced across his lips.
âOkay, uh, be ready at 8, I donât want-.â
âRafe, Iâm serious,â you cut him off, shrugging. âI canât stay at your house all weekend.â
You watched him watch you, slowly swiping his tongue between his lips as a frown started to take over. His dirty blond hair kissed his brows, and the longer the silence stretched, the more nervous you grew. You watched as Rafe glanced away, seemingly deep in thought before those baby blues of his rested on you, much colder than they were a few seconds ago.
âWhat the hell am I paying you for?â he whispered.
The question was rhetorical, and you swallowed.
âRafeâŠIâve barely seen my friends in months. I finally made plans to meet up with them for more than five minutes and-.â
â...and whose fault is that?â he shrugged.
You frowned at him.
âNobody told you to go off on a bender when your mom kicked the bucketâŠâ you blinked at his callousness. âMaybe you shouldâve been finding comfort in your friends instead of drugs and vodkaâŠand me.â
He finished his sentence with a softâand yet cruelâsmile.
âI pay you good moneyâgreat money even!âto be available when I want you to be, and unless youâve found some other rich asshole to open your legs for, which I doubtâŠbe ready tomorrow at 8.â
He was standing, now, looking down at you where you sat on the bed. The harsh reminder of your roles here had you looking away, and Rafe turned away when he rightfully took your silence as confirmation. You stared at the wall for a few moments before turning to stare at his back, thinking to yourself that this couldnât go on much longer. Whether it took 1 or 5 jobs, you couldnât keep relying on Rafe Cameron forever.
What was once a weekly occurrence had turned into something entirely other, and it hadnât bothered you so much when your motherâs death was still so fresh and you were seeking solace in the worst coping mechanisms known to manâincluding isolation. Now, however, you were waking up to the choices youâd made and you hated the feeling of being inebriated and being surrounded by people you barely knew.
You hated being away from your friends.
âI didnât even know youâd gotten a job,â John B. said to you hours later, looking disappointed but understanding. âJJâs gonna be real disappointed. Heâs been talking all week about having you try some new weed he got.â
You gave a light laugh at that, a pang in your chest at how much you missed doing stupid shit with them.
âYeah,â you sadly said. âThe worldâand billsâdoesnât stop just because my mom died.â
The brunette grew quiet at that, worriedly eyeing you now.
âYou doing okayâŠ?â
You sighed at that, looking out over the yard of The Chateau, fiddling with your fingers as you thought of a certain blond.
âIâve been better, butâŠIâve been worse too.â
Your answer was honest, and you briefly wondered what John B. would think if he knew just how bad âworseâ had been. You didnât think any of them would hate you if they knew the full extent of just how far youâd fallen, but you knew theyâd have a hard time wrapping their head around it. The drugs and alcohol were one thing, but Rafe Cameron was entirely another. The man was the worst example of a Kook if there was one, representing every bad trait attributed to them.
Your friends would not understand you essentially sacrificing your self respect for money and drugs.
Sometimes you didnât understand it either.Â
Most especially when Rafe had his hands around your neck.
He picked you up at 8 on the dot Friday nightâa man of his word if nothing elseâand less than a hour later you were bent over his fatherâs desk as he pounded into you. Your head was hanging off of it, fighting hard to not scrape your nails against the dark mahogany. It wasnât the first time Rafe fucked you on Wardâs desk, and you doubted that it would be the last time. Thereâd even been a few rare occasions when he fucked you in the older manâs bed, and you didnât know what complex the blond had that fueled these decisions, but you werenât a psychologist so you figured it wasnât anything to concern yourself with.
Despite the tight grip on your throat, a choked moan managed to escape every time Rafe pushed his cock into you. Sweat made his skin glisten, and you were sure you fared no better. His hair wasnât so neat, now, and you had the stray thought that you preferred it that way. Rafe being so far from ugly definitely made this arrangement easier to swallow down at times, but other times it just made you angry.
How was it fair that someone seemingly had everything, including the big dick to match?
Rafe walked around like he was Godâs gift to the world, possessing one of the most rotten personalities youâd ever had the pleasure of being on the receiving end of, and he seemed to be rewarded with it with everything the average person could only dream about. As if any of that wasnât enough, you practically rewarded him with even more by essentially telling him he could do whatever he wanted so long as the price was right.
It made you disgusted with yourself at times.
When he pressed a hand to your stomach, hips slowing to a pace that made your breath hitch, you squeezed your eyes shut. In the quiet office, the sound of his cock disappearing between your folds was loud, the wet noise telling you that thereâd no doubt be a mess left on Wardâs desk when this was all said and done. You heard Rafe curse, and you didnât have the energy to lift your head from where it hung off the desk.
â...and to think,â he panted from above you. âYou were going to pass this up to sit around with those dirty Pogues.â
At this, you did attempt to sit up, a hand against his chest and one on the desk as he thrusted into you.
âThose âdirty Poguesâ are my friends,â you forced out, lashes fluttering. â...and clearly you forget that Iâm one too.â
Rafe merely chuckled at that, perfect teeth winking at you as he grinned.
âYeah, but youâre my dirty Pogue so itâs a little different.â
His words had your frown deepening, disgust filling your chest at the way he talked about you while literally fucking you. Completely turned off, you turned your head away, attempting to separate yourself from him. That haughty laugh reached your ears, and to your dismay, he wrapped an arm around your waist, pulling you closer.
âWhatâŠ?â he lazily drawled. âYou donât like the sound of that?â
âYouâre being an asshole, get off of meâŠâ
He jerked his hips against you, making you gasp, and you squirmed in his arms as you fought to get away. Rafe leaned in to harshly nip his teeth at your cheek, his movements growing rough, causing the desk to shake.
âIâve spent too much money on you to not say whatever the hell I want,â he evenly said. âSo, yeah, at this point, Iâll confidently say I practically own you.â
Tears kissed your eyes at the disgusting words, and fed up with your resistance, Rafe merely placed a hand between your breasts before harshly shoving you back down. You winced at the action, but you had no time to fully linger on it as Rafe started to roughly plunge his cock into you, the sound of his skin slapping against yours reaching your ears. He wouldnât allow you to sit up, both of his hands wrapped around your wrists now as he leaned over you.
This felt too reminiscent of the time heâd pressed your face into the bed, telling you to relax as he pressed the head of his cock just above where your folds were. You recalled the uncomfortable feeling and the tears that stained the pillow as he slowly fucked you in a place no one ever had before. The deja vu of it all had your mind wandering, eyes defocusing as you just waited for it to be over. It seemed like Rafeâs grunts sounded from above you forever, and when he finally came onto your stomach with a low moan, you didnât move for some time.
You were slow to sit up as he got dressed, trembling as you steaded yourself for what you were about to say.
âI donât wanna do this anymore.â
The words came out whispered, but in the quiet study, you might as well have yelled them. Rafe didnât acknowledge you, and you knew it wasnât because he hadnât heard you. Frustrated with his refusal to take you seriously, you hopped off of Wardâs desk, angrily grabbing your clothes.
âIâm serious, Rafe. After this weekendâŠthis is done,â you continued, voice firmer, now. âDonât call me or text me or worry about any more money. I canât rely on you forever anyway.â
By now, Rafe was actually listening to you, and you avoided his gaze as you got dressed. His silence was loud, and when you were finally decent again, only then did you lift your gaze to glance at him. His visage was unreadable, and after some time, he merely blinked at you.
âIf I remember correctly, per your own words, your mom had enough debt âto file for bankruptcyâ.â
His words made you sharply inhale, and you bit your tongue as he ran his hands through his hair in a poor attempt to tame the damp locks.
âDonât ruin your life just because youâre pissed at me,â he coldly added.
You crossed your arms over your chest, pulling your lip between your teeth.
âPersonal feelings aside, I canât rely on you forever, Rafe. Thatâs just the truth. I have to figure something out eventually, and thereâs no time like the present,â your voice shook as he fixed you with an unnerving stare. âI miss my friends, and I donât want to be the sad, damaged girl running to Rafe Cameron just so I donât feel anything anymore.â
The blond followed your lead, folding his arms over his own chest as he leaned against the wall, staring you down with that annoying crooked smile.
â...and where exactly do you plan to find a job that pays you what I do?â
âThere are jobs, Rafe. Iâll find one.â
You didnât appreciate his tone nor the look he was giving you as he studied you. He was looking down on you, and yes while that wasnât exactly an unusual occurrence, this time was different. He was looking down his nose like he didnât believe in you, like he expected you to be crawling back to him in no time, begging him to fuck you again.
After a few moments, that crooked smile curved even more, and you didnât miss the glint in his eyes.
âWell, I wish you luckâŠâ
His voice didnât match the words that came out of his mouth, and his gaze most certainly didnât.
âI literally called this morning and was told over the phone that you all were hiring...and now I get here, and Iâm being told youâre notâŠ?â
You tried to keep the skepticism out of your tone, but your frustration at your predicament was bubbling up and threatening to be unleashed on the lone man before you. The inside of the country club was practically emptyâa slow Tuesdayâand you briefly glanced around at the two staffers in the whole room. Sure, you could write it off to a slow day that didnât need a full staff, but something in you told you that it was more than that.
You didnât believe the man in front of you.
âLook, I donât know what else to tell you, miss. Whoever you talked to got it wrong. Iâm sorry for the miscommunication on our end,â was his only explanation.
You didnât dare bother to point out that both he and whoever youâd spoken with on the phone sounded damn near identical.
When it became obvious that this conversation was over, you turned away with a small huff, breezing outside to a familiar dark car. Kie was standing by it, arms uncomfortably crossed over her chest, glaringly obvious that sheâd rather be anywhere but here despite being from âhereâ.
âWellâŠ?â she wondered as you got closer.
âTheyâre not hiring,â you mumbled as you slid into the passenger seat.
She joined you inside the vehicle a moment later, a frown on her face.
â...but you called.â
âI know.â
There was a beat of silence before she scoffed, reaching for her door handle.
âIf this is because you arenât some rich snob looking for play moneyâŠâ
She trailed off when you spoke up.
âNo, I donâtâŠI donât think itâs that,â you stopped her. âLetâs just go.â
She eyed you for a few moments, frown deepening.
âAre you sure? Y/N, this is like the fourth place youâve been to today,â she pointed out. â...and I donât want to add my stress to your stress, but itâs kind of fucked up.â
You didnât have the heart to tell her that it wasnât possible for you to be any more stressed than you already were, simply signaling for her to drive. You could feel her eyes periodically landing on you as she did, and you chewed on the inside of your cheek, wondering why the universe had it out for you.
It had been weeks since youâd last seen or talked to Rafe, weeks since you ended your little arrangement, and weeks since youâd had a consistent source of income. It wasnât a pretty nor respectable way to make money, but youâd been making money nonetheless. However, you couldnât find it in you to continue sacrificing your self respect to keep sleeping with Rafe Cameron. Youâd also been telling the truth when you told him you didnât want to be this messed up sad thing anymore.
You had long let go of the drugs and cut back on the drinking, and now youâd dropped Rafe too.
Youâd had hopeâŠbut now it was dwindling.
No one would hire you. In fact, no one had even allowed you far enough to officially apply just to get a foot into an interview. It was always the same. Youâd call ahead so you didnât waste your time, theyâd tell you they were looking for people, and then the moment you actually showed up and introduced yourself, it was an entirely different story. It didnât make any sense to you, and the thought of ever proving Rafe right made you want to be sick.
âHow bad is it?â JJ asked you a few days later, the both of you away and isolated in some corner of some guyâs party.
You looked down at the weak drink in your hand, contemplating on whether or not to be honest.
âItâsâŠmanageable.â
A whopper of a lie.
â...then why donât I believe you? Come on, Y/N, itâs me. I know your mom wasnât the best when it came to funds, and when she diedâŠâ he scoffed. âYou werenât exactly in any shape to march down to anyoneâs job and fight for work just to keep things afloat.â
You looked away at that, throat tight.
âIâm honestly shocked youâve kept it up for this long.â
If only he knewâŠ
You felt his gaze on you as you wondered just how truthful you should be, but you reminded yourself that this was JJ. If he knew the full extent of everything, heâd be likely to rob a bank. Nevermind the fact that it would just make him ask more questions, like how youâd even managed to keep things afloat all this time. You didnât think you could lie to him, and you didnât think you could handle being on the receiving end of whatever look JJ would undoubtedly give you if you told him youâd been sleeping with Rafe to pay your bills.
You didnât know if it was fortunate or unfortunate that the subject of your thoughts walked through the doors to prevent this conversation from continuing. His presence shouldnât have shocked youâthe party was pretty mixed with people from all sides of the island after allâbut it still gave you pause, and JJ noticed.
âThis asshole,â you heard the blond murmur, rolling his eyes.
You were inclined to agree, and you shrunk in on yourself with your drink, unable to ignore the knowledge that Rafe was at the same party you were at. In the weeks youâd been free of him, youâd had time to really ponder on your dalliance, and while youâd long accepted your hand in your own life choices, it was now hard to ignore Rafeâs own opportunistic choices in the situation. Sure, yes, you fucked him for moneyâŠ
âŠbut what did it say about him that he was perfectly happy to enter an arrangement in which he kept you off of the streets so long as you opened your legs for him?
If he was a good guy heâd justâŠkeep you off the streets.
Like JJ would if you ever told him the truth.
Youâd just decided to stop hiding in the bathroom when you came face to face with the man himself, heart skipping a beat at his presence. He was leaning against the wall next to the door, and you had the sneaking suspicion he hadnât been waiting for his turn.
âHowâs the job search going?â was how he greeted you, and you hadnât been able to keep the ire off of your face.
He softly laughed to himself at that, nodding.
âI figured youâd look a little something like that.â
âFuck you,â you breathed, and Rafe frowned, tilting his head to the side.
âYou were, remember? And then you stoppedâŠand thatâs how you found yourself back at square one,â he reminded you.
The music traveled from downstairs into the dimly lit hallway, and you looked away from him just as he heaved a tired sigh.
âDo I need to apologize for calling you and your friends dirty Pogues? Is that what this is about?â he lazily wondered.
You didnât dignify that with a response, and when you lifted your gaze, Rafe was rolling his eyes. He fixed you with a look, reaching up to touch your hair with a tsk.
âCome on, Y/N. You need meâŠâ
He leaned in.
âWe both know it, and youâre never going to find a job in this town.â
âYou donât know that,â you fired back, slapping his hand away as you took a step away from him.
Almost instantaneously, Rafeâs entire expression morphed, and you swallowed at the shadow that passed over his features. His pink lips pressed together, and those blue eyes hardened in a way youâd never been on the receiving end of. You watched his nostrils flare.
âOh, trust me, I know.â
The combination of his tone and his expression and his words gave you pause, and your brows pulled together as you stared at him. For a moment, the music in the house faded into the background as Kieâs words came to your mind. âItâs kind of messed upâ, sheâd said, and while you hadnât given that much thought to the statement thenâŠyou certainly were now.
âWhat did you do?â you shakily asked the blond, skin growing cold.
Rafe didnât answer right away, and when he did, it was a lie anyway.
âI donât know what you mean,â was all he said, one brow raised.
You felt tears kiss your eyes, and you felt silly for not putting the pieces together earlier. You didnât know how, but somehow, Rafe had a hand in your lack of employment. It seemed exactly like something heâd do, but the only thing you couldnât understand was why. Why do it? Just to see you fail? Just to feel like heâd won?
âLook, this little rebellious actâŠitâs cute and amusing and allâŠâ he shrugged off with a small smile. â...but itâs silly. We both know youâre just going to end up right back under me.â
âYouâre such an asshole,â you hissed, moving past him.
âYeah, and you knew that when you let me fuck you for drugs on some guyâs desk,â he threw at you, making you flinch and slow down.Â
âI was going through things then, Rafe! I didnâtâŠâ you huffed a sigh, turning to glower at him. âI didnât care about things I most definitely should have. Itâs different now.â
You threw your hands up.
âIâm different, now, and I donât want to keep sacrificing my dignity and self respect just to keep a roof over my head. I donât want to sleep with someone who views me and anyone like me as beneath him. It disgusts me, and unlike you, I have no interest in sleeping with people who I claim disgust me.â
You watched Rafeâs lip curl over his teeth.
âYeah, thatâs real respectable and noble and all, but I wonder how noble itâll feel when youâre being evicted,â he spat at you, moving closer. âYouâre not getting a job in this town, that I can promise you, so you keep this up for as long as you want to, but we both know how this ends.â
You leaned away from the finger in your face.
âI fucking own you,â he bit out, roughly grabbing your arm and yanking you close despite your resistance. âYou named your price, and I paid it-.â
âFor a service! Not a person,â you harshly whispered.
Rafeâs chuckle was cold as he stared you down, perfect teeth winking at you.
âYou think youâre the only girl in Outer Banks willing to spread her legs for some money? You think Iâd have to pay any of them half of what I paid you?â your stomach dropped at his words. âIâve been a lot more generous than you realize.â
He roughly let you go, practically shoving you away from him, and you stumbled. He eyed you with an expression filled with promise, and when you turned away to finally find your friends and hopefully leave, you descended the stairs on unsteady legs.
You pushed against Rafeâs arm and chest as he held your chin in a tight grip. The vehicle you were next to hid you both from view, everyone on the beach none the wiser to what was happening in the parking lot. Your feet tripped over one another as he forced you back, trapping you between him and the metal contraption.
âIs that what you came up with? You think that pathetic Pogue is going to pay your bills? Give you a place to stay when that eviction notice is taped to your door?â
âGetâŠoffâŠof me,â you snarled, finally shoving him away with difficulty.
Your breathing was heavy as you glared at the blond, lips trembling and heart racing at the downright evil glint in his blue eyes. You glanced over his shoulder for any way to get away from him, your frustration growing as he moved closer.
âColor me curious, but is it somehow more dignified to fuck someone like JJ instead of me?â
The jealousy dripping from his every word threw you for a loop, and you werenât in the right headspace to even linger on how strange that was.
âNot that itâs any of your business, but weâre not like that,â you drunkenly choked out. âI donât know why you feel like I need to answer to you about my personal choices.â
It had only been thirty minutes ago that you were dancing with your friends. JJâever the flirtâhad gotten a bit handsy, but it was nothing unusual. He could get handsy with a tree, and youâd merely smiled at the behavior, ignorant to the heated gaze that was hyper focused on you. You hadnât even realized heâd been following you when you went to get a drink from Haywardâs truck.
âButt out of my life already. Youâve already done enough,â you hissed at him, moving to get past him when he stopped you.
âWeâre not done talking-.â
His words were interrupted by your hand, the sound of the slap echoing in your ears, and heâd just harshly pushed you against the car at your back when a familiar voice interrupted you both.
âGet off of her!â
Kie was suddenly there, helping you in shoving him away, and she looked at Rafe like heâd lost his mindâlike sheâd bore witness to an even sinister side to him. The blond didnât seem all that fazed by her presence, barely sparing her a glance as his jaw clenched, his eyes on you. Clearly he felt that whatever he was contemplating wasnât worth it, because without another wordâbut not without a final scoffâhe made his way back to the party on the beach.
Kie wrapped her arms around you when you started to cry.
âAre you okay? Did he hurt you?â
What a loaded question, and you realized that the truth was just on the edge of your tongue. Unable to stop yourself, you threw your arms around her, collapsing under the weight of all your choices and what had led you to make them.
âKie,â you started, voice trembling in her ear. âI have to tell you something.â
If she was horrified by the truth, she didnât show it much. You could tell she was shocked as the words tumbled from your lips, her brown eyes stricken and face draining of color. You didnât know what bothered her moreâthe drugs, the prostitution, or that both involved Rafe Cameron. As it turns out, it was none of those things.
âWhy didnâtâŠwhy didnât you let us help you?â she tearfully wondered, looking between your eyes. âWe know how hard itâs been for you, and we wanted to be there for you, but youâŠyou just disappeared. You barely came around, and John B. heard things, but he didnât want to believe them.â
She whispered that last part, and your chest ached at the thought of your friends hearing about your out of character behavior but feeling powerless to stop it, accepting it as part of your grief.
âRafeâs a demented asshole,â she finally spoke on the elephant in the room. â...and we wonât let him win, okay?â
There was conviction in Kieâs voice, the kind of conviction that made you want to believe her, and so you nodded at her words.
She helped you straighten, wiping your face and taking you back to the party, quietly promising you that she wouldnât say anything about any of this to the guys. She stuck to you for the rest of the night, and a week later, she made good on her promise, her parents shaking your hand as they welcomed you to their staff.
âWe could always use the extra hands,â Mrs. Carrera told you one Friday evening. âIt gets crazy busy, especially on the weekends.â
All the noise in the restaurant only validated her statement.
Youâd been working at The Wreck for a week, and while it was nothing like what Rafe had been paying you, it was a job. It was a means of earning your own money that didnât involve lowering yourself to the likes of Rafe Cameron. It was grueling, sure, and you sometimes wondered if it was truly worth the money, but then youâd think of the alternative, and youâd decide that it was worth something and thatâs what mattered.
You hadnât been paying that much attention when you approached your last table for the night, looking up from the apron at your waist and stopping in your tracks.
âHey, I didnât know you worked here too,â Topper said, a fairly neutral greeting.
Topper may have been just as much of an asshole as his friends, but he at least played nice for the public. Your gaze traveled around the table, quickly looking away when it connected with a familiar blue.
âItâsâŠa fairly new gig,â you finally said, getting your notepad ready.
âHey, if youâre going to use your friends for anything, might as well use them to become a productive member of society,â he told you, his tone now making you frown.
Opting to ignore the comment, you asked them what they wanted. You didnât make eye contact with Rafe when he gave you his order, hand unsteady as you wrote it down. When you left them to go and get their drinks, you werenât surprised to hear the scrape of a chair behind you. You were focused on rounding the counter, reaching for some clean glasses.
âWhat the hell are you doing here?â
You didnât forget your last encounter with the rich blond, tempted to ignore his presence altogether, but you were unfortunate enough to know how Rafe operated. Pausing in your movements, you turned to look at him, not surprised at all by the unhappy look on his face.
âIâm working, Rafe. What does it look like?â
You eyed the way his jaw ticked, finger gently tapping against the counter as he simplyâŠstared you down. You glanced away, realizing that he didnât have any power over you anymore. No, you werenât completely out of the woods, but you had a secured source of income, and youâd happily struggle and scrape over sleeping with Rafe ever again.
âGo find some other struggling girl to take advantage of,â you finally said to him, grabbing their drinks and making your way to their table without a backwards glance.
Working at The Wreck was hard work, and no matter how many shifts you covered and how many tips you got, it was still long and hard work for half the money Rafe had ever paid you. You knew this when Kie came to you about the job, but on the other side of it, you were so beyond grateful for it. You were still stressed, of course, your monetary problems not going away anytime soon, but it was the normal stress of the average working twenty-something.
It wasnât the kind of worry that came from a violent and abusive lover.
Rafe had been by the restaurant a few times since that day, and each time was more nerve-wracking than the last. Sometimes you served him, sometimes you didnât, but it didnât really matter because his gaze always found its way to you either way. On the days when Kie worked too, sheâd ask you if you wanted her to do something about him, but you always declined.
After all, what reason would you have her give to her parents for kicking out the son of Ward Cameron whoâto their knowledgeâhadnât done anything to warrant it?
Maybe you shouldâve listened to Kie though. While you didnât know if that wouldâve changed things, you at least would have felt better about attempting to do something. Perhaps it was the mere sight of watching you workâwatching you earn money independent of himâthat made him snap, made him drop all pretenses completely. Barring him from the restaurant while you were there mightâve triggered some out of sight, out of mind response. It mightâve forced him to slowly get over whatever this thing was that he had about you.
It might haveâŠ
âŠand it also might not have done shit. Perhaps nothing wouldâve changed, and you still wouldâve found yourself tearfully staring at Kieâs mom as you took off your apron for the last time.
It was a normal Saturday when the texts and emails came through. The busiest day of the week, the most packed the restaurant ever would be for the next six days, and youâd been placing some fries down in front of some familyâs kid when the noise in the restaurantâŠchanged. You hadnât been able to pinpoint how it changed, but if you did your best, it was like the chatters went from excitement about their food or whatever happened during the week to something else entirely.
One single thing that everyone was talking about.
You werenât getting paid to mind your patronsâ business, but you started to think differently about that when the people at the table you were next to started to heavily eye you. The whole restaurant was loud with hushed chatter, so you couldnât hear what they were saying, but the glances between the phones in their hands and you had you frowning.
You were slowly glancing aroundârealizing that that table wasnât the only oneâwhen you were yanked by your arm off the floor.
âWhat are you doing? Whatâs going on?â you worriedly wondered the moment Kie had you hidden from view.
The look on her face was hard to read, but her parted lips and wide eyes told you that she was horrified. She opened and closed her mouth a few times, seemingly unable to get the words out before slamming it shut, swallowing. The combination of her expression, her silence, and the lack of silence out there had a ball of dread forming deep in your gut.
âKie,â you softly said. âWhatâŠwhatâs wrong?â
It took her a moment to speak.
âItâs Rafe,â she softly said.
Your confusion only grew, still not quite understanding.Â
âWhat happened? Is he bothering you? DidâŠhe do something to you?â you hesitantly asked, fearful that your former tormentor had turned his sights onto your friend.
âNot to me.â
That simple sentence started to put the pieces together, and you turned your face towards the front of the restaurant, recalling the stares and whispers and listening to the excited chatter. Your skin grew cold, goosebumps erupting all over you, and that dread was long gone. It was instead replaced by nausea.
âHe sent everyone somethingâŠâ
âNo,â you heard yourself whisper.
â...a video.â
You turned to her with wide eyes, shaking your head in disbelief. Glancing down, you caught sight of her phone in her hand, and before Kie could stop you, youâd snatched it out of her grip. You moved out of her reach as she extended her arm, desperately trying to protect you, but it was too late.
You felt like you were weighed down by bricks as you stared at the two familiar faces on the screen.
It had to have been taken months ago, during one of the first few times youâd slept with him. You both were in Wardâs bedroom, and you remembered the day all too well, recalling the feel of his palm striking your skin and his voice in your ear before pulling your head down to his lip. Of course, it was that one and not one of the ones where heâd held you down and forced you to take his thrusts.
Your hand was empty, not even realizing when Kie had taken it back, simply staring into space at the memory of what was on that screen.
âY/N, when my parents find outâand theyâre going to find outâtheyâŠâ
Her words died in the air at the sound of footsteps behind you, and you flinched when you heard a familiar voice call your name. Mrs. Carerra didnât sound happy, and her expression fared no better when you turned around. You couldnât stop your tears from spilling over as she gestured for you to follow her further into the back of the restaurant. You knew what was coming, what Kie was trying to prepare you for.
It was what Rafe wanted, after allâŠand heâd gotten it.
It was hours later when you were sitting with your back against your door, your phone turned off, overwhelmed by the influx of missed calls and messages from your friends. Youâd only gotten a glimpse at them before finding your head bent inside of your toilet. Every single one of them bar Kie were shocked, their horror and confusion clear as day through their words. Only Pope had eventually sent a text that asked if you were okay.
âŠand the truth was that you werenât.
You were so far from okay.
Rafe had won, heâd gotten exactly what he wanted, and even though Mrs. Carerra had expressed sympathy for your plightâmore angry at the situation than anything elseâsheâd still had no choice but to let you go. Every other business in town valued the Cameron family way too much, and the only place that had been willing to hire you had been swayed by Rafe too in the worst manner possible.
It was well after midnight when your door shook from harsh knocks. You hadnât moved in hours, just blankly staring at the wall, and you closed your eyes at the sound, positive it was one of your friends. You didnât have the strength to face them, to answer questions and either break down or pretend you felt far better than you actually did.
You did, however, have the strength to face Rafe, your gaze lifting when his voice met your ears, demanding that you open the door.
His fist was still in the air when you swung it open, looking at him like he was something youâd find on the bottom of your shoes. He looked as put together as ever, completely unfazed by what heâd done. And why wouldnât he be? This wouldnât hurt his reputation and success in this town a bit. If nothing else, the video would have even more girls falling at his feet, but for some reason he didnât seem to want that.
He preferred to force your hand instead.
âWhat is wrong with you?â you tearfully asked him, throat tight.
He didnât respond right away, touching his tongue to his lip as his gaze roamed behind you.
âYou gonna let me in?â
Your eyes almost popped out of your sockets, and he gave a haughty laugh.
âItâs not like Iâve left you with much of a choice, now, have I?â
He sounded soâŠproud of himself, and all you could do was cry as he brushed past you. He closed the door for you, noticing that you were struggling to move, and he kept his hand on the wood, his chest grazing your back as he pressed his face into your hair. You heard him deeply inhale, and you squeezed your eyes shut.
âI told you how this would end,â he whispered. âI gave you a chance to be smart about this.â
You went to move away from him, but his other hand shot out to grip your arm.
âYouâre the one who made things way more difficult than they needed to be.â he continued. âWe had a good thing goingâŠand then you had to go and get sensitive and sentimental.â
When he forced you to face him, you kept your eyes on the collar of his shirt. The silence stretched as you refused to look at him, and you eventually heard Rafe heave a sigh. He let your arm go, and you watched him reach into his pocket, disappointed but not surprised by the roll of one hundred dollar bills he pulled out. When he straightened, he took your hand and placed the money in your palm, clasping your hands together.
A few more tears escaped when his fingers threaded through yours.
âDo you still feel like fighting this?â he quietly asked. âLet me know, right now, because I have all the timeâand moneyâin the world.â
He slowly pulled you closer.
âYou donât.â
You shakily exhaled, reluctantly lifting your gaze to meet his own. You stared at one another for what felt like too long, and when he leaned in, taking your silence as defeat, you let him kiss you. It was a salty kiss, your own tears mixing in, but Rafe didnât seem to mind, moving his lips against yours with a growing smile. His arm snaked its way around your waist, and the animalistic noise he let out told you just how excited he was to have you back under his thumb.
The couch seemed sufficient enough for him, bringing you both to it as he peeled your clothes off. You shuddered as the air hit your naked skin, thoughtlessly moving closer to his own body heat, and Rafe pressed a kiss to your shoulder as he laid you down. It felt like ages since youâd last slept with him, but you knew that wasnât why you were trembling.
You were trembling because you finally realized you were sleeping with a monster. Before, Rafe had just been an opportunistic asshole to you. Rich, spoiled, selfish, the list went on, but now he was so much more than that. He was now someone whoâd raped you on more than one occasion, and who had proved that heâd do anything to make you completely reliant on no one but him.
How else could he ensure that youâd never leave him? Never have any other choices but him? Youâd eventually have to leave Outer Banks one day, you knew that to be true if you ever wanted a life independent of him, but that video could follow you around for the rest of your life, and very probably would.
When Rafe sheathed himself inside of you, stretching you out in a way that was regularly familiar to you, you gasped. The blond wasted no time in adopting a steady pace, fucking you hard against your couch, his fingers pressing into the arm of it. His grunts were soft in your ears, and despite your combined hatred and fear of him, you werenât able to swallow down the whimpers that escaped your lips too.
You didnât know what kind of hard on Rafe had for fucking someone he deemed so far beneath him, even more so to go through so much trouble of forcing you right back into his bed. You didnât understand it one bit, and part of you never wanted to. You didnât want to understand a thing that went on inside of his head, didnât want to understand the thought process behind doing what heâd done to you.
His fingers scraped down your thigh before yanking you forward as he sat up some, looking down to where his cock disappeared into you. He was focused on the sight, lips parting as he panted from above you. He didnât lean back down until your leg was over his shoulder, preventing you from moving much as he used you to chase his high, hips repeatedly curving against yours and forcing you to grip the couch.
âI missed this pussy so much,â he murmured, lips grazing the corner of your mouth as he spoke. âYou drive me crazy, you know that?â
You hadnât before, but you did, now.
When his hand landed on your throat, it didnât hurt, but his thumb applied just enough pressure to keep you alert.
âIâll stop calling your friends dirty Pogues if that makes you feel better,â he whispered, a gentle kiss from his lips to yours. â...but you still belong to me.â

Steve stirs at the top of the bed to the sound of pinging springs. He rubs his eye, feels sleep free itself from his lashes as he pushes onto an elbow.Â
âHoney?â he asks.Â
You turn to him with a frown. âSorry.âÂ
Steve doesnât want you to be sorry, he was just figuring out which of his best girls it was moving around. He forces himself to sit up and turn on the lamp, unveiling the sight of you at the end of the bed in your maternity pyjamas, flowy blue fabric with white polka dots youâd bought to match Bethâs.Â
âYou need help?â he asks.Â
You sound like youâre having a hard time breathing. âIâm trying to put my socks on.âÂ
âYeah? You wanna go downstairs?âÂ
You always put your socks on before you go downstairs at night or in the early morning. The floors get cold no matter what you and he try to do to prevent it. He promises one day youâll have enough money for heated floors. Heâs not sure where he thinks that money is coming from.Â
âIâm gonna go have some ice cream.âÂ
Your night time cravings lately are unstoppable. Steve pushes the sheets back and round the bed to the end, giving your face a short touch, and then getting down on his knees in front of you with his hands held out for your socks. Heâd offer to go get it for you, but youâll say no, heâs too tired. The only loophole heâs found for this is coming with you.Â
You give him your socks and a sorry smile. âI didnât mean to wake you up.âÂ
âItâs okay. I donât mind. You know what I say.âÂ
âCanât sleep without me.âÂ
He bunches your sock up and rolls it over your toes and up past your heel, your ankle. He does it gently like heâs rolling them onto one of the kidsâ feet, he canât really help himself. He likes being gentle with you. You canât see your toes, so you might as well have him be kind to them.Â
âCanât sleep without you,â he agrees, again bunching up the fabric of your sock to roll over your toes and heel.Â
He tugs it up straight on your calf and leaves his hand there for a selfish squeeze. âThere, now youâre ready. Want your robe too?âÂ
You frown suddenly, a familiar twist of your mouth and nose, eyebrows pinching down as your eyes fill with tears. He shakes his head at you before you can talk, his hand moving to your knee for sympathetic rubbing. âDonât cry.âÂ
âYouâre so nice to me.âÂ
âI love you,â he says, pushing himself up to stand and hug you. âPlease donât cry, Y/N, itâs just socks. I love putting your socks on for you.âÂ
âYou treat me like a princess,â you say with a sniff.Â
âYou deserve it,â he promises. He wraps his arms around your head and neck, kissing your forehead with a loving sigh. âYou do. Please donât cry.âÂ
Once you start you canât stop. Steve doesnât mind calming you down, itâs not like it isnât exactly what he signed up for, but getting upset is never good for the baby or your extremely stressed body. âPlease,â he murmurs, âletâs go downstairs, okay?âÂ
âOkay,â you say, voice thick with tears.Â
Steve wraps you in a blanket and ushers you through the master bedroom door. Your pregnancy hormones are as off the charts as theyâve ever been, though last month youâd been quite snappy. This week youâre crying multiple times a day every day. Steve keeps waiting to run out of patience, but he has a good few kids, and youâre not doing anything wrong anyways. So what if youâre crying all the time? He canât imagine how stressful it is to be that tired and heavy like this, or how many hormones are pumping through you at the moment. He got you pregnant. Itâs his job to mitigate the symptoms to the best of his ability.Â
You sit down at the table, knowing without asking that heâs going to get your ice cream. He grabs it from the freezer with your favourite spoon (not so big, not so little), and passes you both with a smile.Â
âThere, honey.âÂ
Before he met you, Steve wasnât used to pet names. Heâd say baby and babe, he was a player, then heartbroken, and theyâd come out weird because he didnât really mean them, or he didnât get what they meant in the first place. He calls you honey and he feels at once like the husband he is but itâs more than that. Youâre his honey. You deserve to know how much you mean to him with every sentence he says, and thereâs no easier way to do that than to pester you with pet names.Â
You use them just as much as he does. âThanks, handsome.âÂ
âDo you want anything else?âÂ
Again, your frown, tears in your eyes as you peel the lid off of pint and pick up your spoon. âIâm fine,â you say tearily.Â
Steve scoots a chair as close to yours as is physically possible and sits, his hand falling to your knee. Heâd squeeze your thigh if it wasnât impeded by the round hill of your bump, the biggest itâs ever been. From the start of next week onward you can expect to go into labour. Within the month, youâll have had the baby.Â
Steve canât wait for it, and heâll bet you canât wait to be done. He says your name softly, giving the side of your leg a great massage, âY/N, itâs okay.âÂ
âI know, I just love you,â you say through a mouthful of ice cream, the spoon still on your lips.Â
âI love you too, honey, donât worry about it.âÂ
âDo you want some?âÂ
He knows saying no wonât help. Itâs probably four in the morning and he canât imagine anything less appetising at the late hour, but he says, âYeah. Just a little bit. Iâm watching my figure.âÂ
You laugh, still full of tears, and scoop up some ice cream to feed him. When heâs had it, he presses forward for a kiss, to your delight. Steve doesnât mean to brag, but he knows you well. Cheering you up is easy. He steals a second kiss just for him and beams at the reaction it invokes, breathless laughter that doesnât fade as you scoop up another spoonful of ice cream.Â
âHow come the baby never wants something we can keep in the bedroom?â Steve asks.Â
âSheâs like her sisters.âÂ
âYes she is,â Steve says, moving in for another squeeze of your leg. âCanât wait to meet her.âÂ
You lean your head on his shoulder, ice cream dripping from your spoon. âShe canât wait to meet you, Steve. Sheâs kicking every time she hears your voice. I think she knows how good you are to me.â You clear your throat. âShe can tell youâre the nicest guy ever.âÂ
He shushes you tenderly. âCome on, honey, no more crying. Iâll have to start being mean to you instead, nobody wants that, I donât want that.âÂ
âPlease donât be mean to me.âÂ
Your hurt voice startles him. âIâm just kidding.â He kisses your temple. âYou think Iâd do that? I canât do that to you, babe, I donât want to.âÂ
He spends twenty minutes convincing you he was just kidding while you weep into his shoulder.Â
Poor girl, he thinks sorrily.

"Who's your new teacher?" Part 4
Synopsis: You run into Toji at the store, who had plans to buy the exact same gift for Megumi.Â
Pairing: single dad! toji x f! reader
Contains: So much fluff, both reader and toji are obviously crushing on each other, megumi is four, tsumiki is seven, reader is a preschool teacher, reader and toji are around the same age, megumi and tsumiki being absolutely adorable, shiu kong is tojiâs friend, everyone is happy bc i said soÂ
part one, part two, part threeÂ
a/n: and here's part four! barely proofread. sorry for mistakes!
â â â â âÂ
Every time you see him, your heart flutters stupidly in your chest, and you feel as if youâre glowing from within. Without even knowing, your mouth curves upward until youâre grinning excitedly. Toji Fushiguro is also smiling, his dark eyes as soft as ever.Â
âHi, Toji.â
âHey, doll.âÂ
âHelloooooo?!â Shiu practically screams from over the phone, and Toji rolls his eyes as he asks, âdid you find the damn toy?!âÂ
âEven better,â Toji says. âIâll call you back.âÂ
Once he hangs up the phone, Toji steps closer to you, pointing towards the toy youâre clutching tightly in your hands. âWere you⊠Were you planning to buy that for Megs?âÂ
âYeah.â You nod, suddenly timid. âUm, was that a problem? I hope Iâm not crossing any lines or anything like that. Itâs just- he looked so scared for his appointment, and once I saw that this dropped in, I knew it would beââÂ
âIâm not upset. No, itâs justâŠâ Toji trails off, and you raise a brow at the shocked expression on his face. âThat toy is expensive.âÂ
âItâs for Gumi,â you say, smiling fondly when you think about the shy, spiky-haired boy in your class who loves dogs, coloring pictures of flowers and telling you stories about his family. âHeâs worth it.âÂ
When Toji smiles again, itâs warm, full of gratitude, and so lovely that you feel your heart stutter in your chest again. âThank you, thatâs so sweet. Heâll love it,â he says, and then places his hand on your shoulder. âHowever, I canât let you buy that. Itâs too much money.âÂ
âNo, please. Let me. I can cover it.âÂ
âLet me cover it,â he says. âYou can still be the one to gift it to him, but please just let me buy it. I know from Shiu that teachers usually have to buy so much on their own.âÂ
It was true. Crayons, markers, pencils, class decorations, picture books and anything else to make your students happy usually fell on your shoulders. Then, there was rent, groceries, and other expensive bills that kept you up at night sometimes. However, your stress temporarily fades away when you spend time with the children at the pre-school you work at, especially Megumi Fushiguro. Even better during those afternoons when you talk with Toji.Â
âAlright, fine,â you say, and you hold up a single finger. âOne condition: You at least let me buy Tsumikiâs doll.âÂ
He raises a brow. âWhich doll?âÂ
Since you both are in the aisle that stores toys for young girls, youâre able to point to the one you had your eye on. The smiling doll was a soccer player, her dark hair styled in a high ponytailâthe same way Tsumiki usually styles her hair. The doll wore a jersey, cleats, and shin guards, and the set also came with a miniature soccer ball, water bottle and sports headband for the doll. âI was going to give this one to her after her soccer match.âÂ
You look back at Toji to see him staring at you in disbelief, and before you can ask him why, he tells you, âI seriously canât believe that we both ended up at the same store getting ready to buy the same two toys.âÂ
âWow, really?âÂ
âYeah,â he chuckles as he grabs the doll for Tsumiki off of the shelf, then starts walking with you towards the front of the store to check out. âI had it in mind at Megumiâs appointment.âÂ
âHow was that, by the way?â You ask.Â
Toji pulls out his phone and scrolls for a few seconds before showing you a picture. Megumi and Tsumiki were standing outside of the doctorâs office with matching stickers on their t-shirts, happily enjoying their candy. âHe did great. His sister held his hand to keep him calm throughout the checkout, and it worked. Proud of her for keeping it together, too. She only had to call one person a âstupid headâ today because he told him that boys shouldnât cry.âÂ
You snicker, âOh, my gosh, âstupid headâ?? Cute picture, also. Theyâre so precious.âÂ
âMhm,â He looks down, shaking his head with a bashful smile. âShe actually means dumbass.âÂ
âOh, does she, now? I assume thereâs a story behind that?âÂ
He hums, taking a few seconds to think before beginning to explain. âCouple years ago. She was five. Megumi was just about to turn two. I was driving them to the store, and this guy cut me off. I shouted, âwatch where youâre going, dumbassâ and she repeated after me.â When you make eye contact with each other, you both laugh. âShiu nearly pissed himself,â he says, âI was laughing so hard that I had to pull over. Finally, we explained to her that dumbass is a bad word, and that she had to say something different. So, she settled on âstupid head.â Itâs so simple, but it nearly kills Shiu and I because we know what she actually wants to say.âÂ
âThatâs incredible,â you say, standing with him in the checkout line. âAnd Iâm happy she called that guy out at the appointment today. Sheâs so protective of her little brother. I love it.âÂ
Youâre about to put the plushie onto the conveyor belt, but Toji gently grabs it from you, placing both it and the doll on there. You look at him. âToji, IââÂ
âI meant it earlier when I said that I canât let you buy this because of how pricey it is. Since you got here first and spent so much time looking for the dog plushie, youâre still going to be the one to give both of these to them,â he says softly. âBut just knowing that you were willing to spend this much money for Megs and Tsumiki when you one hundred percent didnât have to mean so damn much to me. Thank you. Not just for being an amazing teacher, but also for being a wonderful human being.âÂ
Oh, heâs so sweet.Â
Thereâs so much you want to say, but you know that you canât say too muchâat least, not yet. So you go for the first and most important. âYouâre an incredible father. They love you so much.âÂ
He smiles and nods his thanks, then pays for the two items before handing you the bag. As you two leave the store, he offers to walk you to your car, and you accept. âYouâre right,â you mutter to him. âTeachers donât make a lot, but we always make do with what we have. One day, Iâll have the classroom of my dreams.â You declare, suddenly determined. âItâs what the kids deserve. Also, I want you to know that even if I was struggling a little bit after buying those toys, I wouldâve never regretted buying them for Megumi and Tsumiki. Theyâre such good kids.âÂ
âI know,â Toji says. âNot once did I think that youâd regret it. Youâve only ever been sweet to them.â When he sees that itâs beginning to get dark, he gently taps your car. âYou should get home and get some rest. I can tell that youâve been trying to hunt that dog plushie down for a while. Also,â he stops and exhales, and you wonder what heâs thinking. A light shade of pink dusts his cheeks, and it reminds you of him in Megumiâs drawing.Â
âI want to see you more,â he finally tells you. âOutside of work, I mean. I was thinking that maybe we can grab dinner some time?âÂ
âYes.â Itâs impossible to hide your smile. How could you? âIâd love to.âÂ
He carefully grasps your hand, then brings it to his mouth, placing a light kiss on the back of it. Itâs a sweet gesture, but you feel like youâre about to catch fire and then melt into the ground. âIâll see you tomorrow,â he purrs. âAnd Iâll text you plans about the date.âÂ
Date. Date.Â
âOkay,â you manage to reply when you find your voice. âIâll see you tomorrow. Sleep well!â You get into your car, wave him off once more, then drive off, unable to control your excitement.Â
âÂ
As Toji watches your car leave the storeâs parking lot, heâs already calling Shiu, a new idea beginning to take shape in his mind.Â
âAre you done flirting?â Shiu answers with a huff. âThe kids were wondering where you went.âÂ
âSorry about that. Iâm on my way now. Quick question though: That job that took me less than an hour to complete. What was the payout for that one again?âÂ
âEight thousand, why?âÂ
Perfect. âPut half of it aside.âÂ
â â â â âÂ
âWhatâs this?â Megumi asks when you place the wrapped gift box in front of him, looking up at you and Toji with large, curious eyes.Â
The three of you are in your classroom a little earlier than usual, since you wanted to give Megumi his present before the other students arrived. Toji didnât mind since he also wanted to see his reaction.
âA present that Ms. [Y/L/N] got you,â Toji answers as he pats his head. âGo ahead and open it.âÂ
Like with everything else, Megumi takes his time opening the gift; delicately undoing the knot in the bow and wrapping the gift paper starting from the edges. When he sees the new plushie, the kid gasps, then screams in joy.Â
âNo way!â He holds up his usual black dog plushie next to the new white one, tears of happiness rising to his eyes. âNow theyâre together!â He gently puts the toy down, then runs into your arms, squeezing you as tight as he can. âThank you, thank you, thank you!!âÂ
âAw, of course, sweetheart!â You laugh as you hug him in return. âIâm so proud of you for getting through your appointment. You did such a good job.âÂ
As you praise him, Toji notes that Megumi still hasnât released you yet. It was the longest heâs ever seen him hug anyone that wasnât him or Tsumiki. His previous preschool teacher told him in the past that Megumi was too closed off, and that his refusal to talk to anyone would cause so many issues in the future. At first, Toji was worried, but now that he has seen how he is with you, even after such a short amount of time, he just knew that it was because Megumi didnât trust his other teacher.Â
But he really, really trusted you. Loved you, even.

Disappointed in the Vander backstory
I fully expected that it was coming, but I'm disappointed in the timeline all the same.
The "Vander got upset because a fight against Piltover Silco instigated killed the woman he loved" was literally my first draft for my longfic Fathers and Daughters, and I ended up scrapping it because I felt it was too cheap and wouldn't justify the violence of his actions against Silco.
"When she died I lost my head" he says in the letter.
But when she died you actually dropped your gauntlets and picked up the girls and everyone has been assuming this was the moment you swore off violence...
The fact she goes on to let Vander name her kid, and seems to be thick as thieves with them, and ALSO tells them of the pregnancy before she builds up the courage to tell her partner... Tells me that surely... SURELY by the time Vi is 10-11, whatever she is on the bridge in season 1, she would KNOW SILCO as her mom's bestie, no??? Not just Vander.
It feels like this entire angle is pulled under the rug to simplify the conflict in act 1.
I do appreciate being right on the money with Silco knowing and being friends with the mom, and having known Vi as a baby. I think it makes sense, especially if he was an important community leader.
I just hate her death being the catalyst of Vander's actions against Silco. It means that the timeline actually like this:
Mom-Silco-Vander are best friends. Silco is "Bozo 1" and has been leading the transformation of the Lanes with Vander's help. He's already planning his nation of Zaun. His notebook is literally saying "NZ" for Nation of Zaun.
At an ONGOING confrontation with enforcers, Silco throws a molotov cocktails that doesn't seem to even kill an enforcer (Powder and her innefectual bombs parallel? The entire scene is intercut with the monkey bomb clapping so... The scene leading to a friend's death also parallels the events of Jinx's birth.)
As the smoke clears/the POV looks down, we have the reveal that the girls' Mom is dead.
Vander admits the blood was on his hands as well, meaning he either started this confrontation with Silco, or fought just as badly/increased the violence (and we see him murder enforcers later on). Anyway he admits to carrying the blame, and apologized in person to Silco for the dubbed "betrayal".
Then he went home, shaved, dragged Silco into the Pilt, and tried to drown him *because their common friend died at the failed uprising*.
He's then haunted, seemingly, by visions of Silco being dead:
To me it's sort of weaker and sadder, as it establishes Vander as someone more flawed and less ruthless. It's not that he wanted the Lanes, it's not that Silco was getting in the way of what he wanted.
Vander was out there happy with everything they were dishing out, right until their actions cost the life of a friend, and he broke, emotionally, and BLAMED it on Silco, going so far as to kill him (or try).
He surrendered his gauntlets, picked the children up, tucked them in at home, shaved (I cannot stress this enough), then took Silco into the fucking river and brutally attempted to murder him.
Then he massively regretted it and left little breadcrumbs of apologies in case Silco found them and returned to him.
So, canon couple, first off lol
Fellas, is it gay to hang your jackets inside each other's in your secret hideout? Is it gay that all your core hidden memories begin with your mate smiling at you?
Yes, yes it is. Zaundad is canon and I'm not taking commentary.
Secondly, that means Vander was an emotional ticking time bomb who wasn't ready for the price to sacrifice in order to gain their freedom. I really wonder what the alternative reality would have been like, were Silco the one dying on that bridge.
Anyway, it brings some twisted sadness to the situation, because the mom wanted Zaun "no matter what" for Vi's sake, her child's future. But Vander decided that lives weren't worth spilling over that dream and tried to kill Silco over it, before teaming up with Grayson to continue enforcing a status quo.
So that means that Silco, even as he raises Jinx, is continuing her mother's dream, of building Zaun, a country that's safe for her children, "no matter what".
But very sadly the show also acts like Silco doesn't know the kids, and like the kids don't know him. Powder, sure, but Vi not knowing Silco is just downright stupid. Not even knowing him by name? When her mom was out fighting alongside him??? The mom is ALSO a miner, very clearly working with Silco and Vander, alongside the nameless poor husband.
I feel like this doesn't really solve the issues that were already raised when we speculated about act 1. It just clarifies that Vander was truly, willfully a force of oppression inside the fissures, working against the revolution necessary for Zaun becoming possible.
But it implies Silco didn't recognise Powder and Vi, and that Vi didn't recognise him or understand how he knew Vander. It's a disservice to the story, because that tie, that old bond, could really have worked to dramatize the sacrifices Silco is ready to make, as well as the depth of Vi's hatred for him.
But the show acts like they're strangers and that Vander's death is the core beef between them until Jinx enters the picture.
And then there's the Benzo scene, when Vander holds his wound from Silco's knife, and says "we both know there's worse than enforcers out there" WHO ARE YOU FUCKING TALKING ABOUT??? Yourself? You seem to be the worst thing around here! It seems clear he knew Silco was alive but had nothing to blame him for by then.
I'm left with holes that take the shape of "shock value" and "plot twist".
"Ooooh Silco knew the mom, twiiiist, but please don't think about the implications, because we wrote season 1 without taking this in consideration."
Feels like another job for fic writers, but IDK if I have the strength for it. I just like my own version better.
At least now we know that Silco did not IN FACT DO anything to "deserve" what he got. I'm sorry, but throwing a molotov at enforcers when fighting for your freedom is based and Vander was dishing death right there next to him.
The base violence necessary for change, eh? Vander just delayed the price being paid for Zaun's creation.

âïž đđŻđŠđąđ° đŠđ« đ±đ„đą đ„đŹđČđ°đąđ° âïž
ⶠAries in 1st: Being ruled by the planet Mars, these natives give a bold and invigorating first impression. What you see is what you get with Aries in the first- they have a raw and honest personality- which can be off putting for some people because it can be taken as rude depending on the person/situation- but I have to say you must admire them for being so tenacious and authentic in nature. I can hands down say the best quality about Aries in the first is what you see is what you get! They have a strong ego here, are not ashamed of their behaviors, body or personality - regardless of what others say to or about them. ⶠAries in 2nd: Bold spenders, can be quick to have, give away and lose money. Fleeting self worth and values- can feel and act confident one hour and then shy and shameful the next. Values honesty, integrity and sense of self- this may be because they donât have the greatest sense of self. Believes that kids and the younger generations have the most value in the world. Having children of their own could be of the greatest importance- OR (and this is a big or) they could never want kids and value connecting to their inner child and independence greatly. Itâs one or the other. Can feel at war with their finances and self worth.
ⶠAries in 3rd: Athletic and popular in middle school/high school. Known for their leadership skills and qualities amongst their peers, classmates, cousins and siblings. Can be the youngest of their siblings or babied by others. Intellectually motivated, driven and competitive. Impulsive and passionate in their speech. May say things for shock value or improv their actual knowledge. Finds stimulation in an intellectual debate and arguing. Itâs hard to win an argument with these people because they speak so quickly- their arguing style is just backing people into a corner mentally, they donât give up easily. However, they can regret things that they say when they are angry or upset.
ⶠAries in 4th: Huge indicator of raising yourself as a kid. Family required you to be very active, you could be the most successful in your family as an adult because of this. Family is a point of weakness for you, mainly because they possess a lot of âchildishâ qualities. You may feel like your parents/guardians were big babies and never grew up. You could put a lot of energy towards your family, but could have a shorter fuse with them over all people. You may be the youngest out of your entire family. Your family could be competitive with you our vise versa. Your family could be the start of your âVillan Arcâ đ- your family may have childish values, argue a lot or they may be a âboard game familyâ. TW - Worst case scenario- violence in the home.
ⶠAries in 5th: Play fights when flirting, aggressive flirters, acts like they hate their crush. I have this placement lmaooo and I LOVE to play fight with my man- like btch?! You wanna go!?!?!? Itâs so much fun to me and usually leads to s*xies ayyye. But thatâs definitely a me thing, I love to talk smack to my significant other- thatâs how itâs always been. Being competitive, NO BORING DATES EVER! Known to have secs on the first date. Passionate- goooood lovers. Either wants to have kids right away or doesnât want kids at all- this I huge independence thing that keeps them from not wanting to have kids. You canât be the baby, if you have a baby! Commitment issues.
ⶠAries in 6th: Enjoys active routines and work place. Known to work in establishments with competitive pay and many enemies in work place. Can be scene as bossy by their coworkers. Needs to be weary of being hypocritical of their coworkers. Temper at work. Benefits from a workout routine. Needs to take out stress and anger from work & daily responsibilities. Can be very active or have hyper pets, may need a big back yard to run their dogs or other animals in. Competitive in health and motivated to be the best versionâs of themselves. Picky with their diet and what they decide to put in their bodies. Can have an all or nothing attitude- because theirs definitely a reason why they are so picky. Usually this stems from poor self care habits and bad physical health. ⶠAries in 7th: Passionate and assertive lovers, the fire they feel for their committed partners are unmatched. They may loose interest beyond physical lust- especially if they donât take they time to figure out whether or not they ACTUALLY like someone. These individuals could truly find good in anyone so itâs important that they donât project their desire for commitment onto someone else. They can date or be friends with some bold and persistent personalities- even bossy. Itâs important that these natives find someone who will give them some wiggle room to find themselves. These people find out who they are through trial and error in their relationships - itâs typical for these natives to have âfailed relationshipsâ that lead them to find out what they definitely donât like- which leads them to their ultimate truth.
ⶠAries in 8th: This gives the native a hyper-vigilant quality to the native with Aries in 8th. In the past the native may have been made to feel like they didnât belong, maybe they were bullied, or judged for something they couldnât control. This may lead them to be on edge, secretive and even defensive about who they are authentically. They are very protective about who they actually are because they have been hurt before- many of these people are Virgo Risings, so itâs interesting to see that this may be one of the reasons why they are so hard on themselves and receive a judgmental sort of reputation. ⶠAries in 9th: I love this placement so much honestly, because a lot of these natives have the philosophy that they can go after anything that they want. They have a particularly strong sense of self and actually may have a hard time understanding why other people donât go after what they want or believe in themselves and their dreams. This is a super hard working placement IMO - it gives very much that âI want it, I got it!â vibe! Itâs very possible at a time in their life that no one believed in these individuals so they just had to prove themselves to the world, and thatâs so beautiful.
ⶠAries in 10th: Go getters in their career- they do best when they are their own boss- they definitely donât do well with being told what to do because of their sensitive nature. However, they have a lot of creativity and art to give to the world. They need a career that is authentic to who they- a simple 9-5 WILL NOT cut it for these people. So if youâre an Aries 10th and youâre still trying to make your boring, loveless day job work- this is why. It is not in your genetic code to be running someone elseâs business đ you are the business starter- not finisher! Quit diminishing your own light because I know yâall are hard on yourselves regardless. Pick your hard and go after it!
ⶠAries in 11th: Leaders of the pack, these natives love bringing their friends together and being absolutely crazy with their friends. They are naturally socialites and feel their best when they are interacting in their community and collaborating with like minds. These people live for their down time, special niche hobbies and interests. They work hard to play hard. They may also have some pretty strong humanitarian values they stick by, these natives have no problem with telling people their opinion on any given situation and they really donât care what you have to say about it đ
ⶠAries in 12th: With Aries in the house of isolation, hidden endings, mental health, dreams and subconscious awareness- this can make a native who suppresses their anger deeply and keeps a lot of their authentic reactions to themselves. They may feel more comfortable expressing this rage internally or when they know nobody else is around. They may be completely out of touch with their anger and impulses. They could have to isolate before taking action towards their authentic desires or dreams. Dreams can be violent and they may have intense nightmares. These natives can work out their best alone- although they usually like to workout with someone, this keeps them from pushing themselves for fear of being ugly or vulnerable. They donât like to show their struggle to others, complain or their authentic side.
Happy Aries Season Everyone! I hope you are all safe and navigating eclipse season /mercury retrograde with ease. I am making a series out of the signs in the houses. I hope yâall are enjoying my content! Love you and thank you so much for reading my content and giving me feedback. This is such a sacred study to me. It is my life.

Astrology Observations: Part 3đđ©·
Mars aspecting the ASC can give the individual a dominating demeanor, but also mainly depends on which aspect. Ex: Harmonius Aspects (trine/sextile)=Straightforward, honest, stand their ground, strong boundaries, not one to be pushed around. Harsh Aspects (square/opp)= Aggressive, domineering, rude, blunt, obnoxious.
(TW: Death) Your 8H sign and planet may tell you how you pass away. Ex: Gemini moon in the 8H= Lungs, breathing problems, asthma. Moon= emotional turmoil, stress, heart break etc
Asteroids like Medusa (149) or Aphrodite (1388) can show you what people envy about you, what they admire, where they may attempt to bring you shame etc. Ex: Medusa in the 1H can attract envy over their appearance, their aura and demeanor. People could attempt to âhumbleâ these individuals often. Aphrodite in the 2H can make others admire your money, your possessions, may wanna know how you have what you have so they can have it too.
Aphrodite (1388) can result in people not just admiring wherever the house itâs in, but also being malicious and petty over it since they feel they deserve it more.
Lilith in the houses is similar to this, and can result in those around you being annoyed when you do things in regards to the house and sign it is in. Ex: Sagittarius Lilith in the 2H= people could be upset when you relax, when you have fun, when you donât play by made up rules and standards, when youâre genuinely happy, when you have nice things, when you take a break, when you indulge etc, because they have this mindset of âI never got to do that/have that, why should youâ. Lilith in the 1H= people getting annoyed that you may be beautiful and theyâre not, painting you as a villain because youâre pretty.
Cancer moons are surprisingly really good with holding boundaries with people in their lives. These people can be lover girls/boys, for sure; but they refuse to let people take advantage of them. Their love, effort and care is reserved for those who will appreciate them in return.
(TW: Mental Health) Take this with a grain of salt since itâs just an observation and not a fact, but those Iâve met with a combo of Scorpio/Gemini in personal planets in a chart are usually diagnosed with BPD, while those Iâve met with either Virgo/Aries/Gemini in a chart combined have usually been diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder/OCD. 12H and 8H stelliums Iâve also met have had some sort of mental illness such as BPD or Schizophrenia.
Jupiter in the 1H, Sag/Pisces risings and/or Jupiter aspecting ASC/personal planets usually manage to get out of difficult situations easily. These people easily attract the help they need, the resources to do what they need, the money to get them where they want to be; very easily. Even when people with these placements/aspects get in trouble they usually manage to make it out very easily as well. Jupiter blesses and makes lucky anything it touches.
People think that Mercury in the 1H might usually talk alot about themselves, and while that may be true; itâs also true that they simply attract people who love to know about them and ask questions in regards to them. Mercury 1H individuals seem to be interesting to others and peak others curiosity about them. Others find them fascinating, thus constantly asking questions about them.
On the other hand, Mercury 3H individuals may be very close with their siblings, or their siblings can be popular/known/famous which could make the 3H person known for their siblings. This results in the 3H person consistently hearing about their siblings, getting asked questions or discussing topics in regards to their siblings. Same thing with school, this person may have either really good or really bad grades in regards to school so their main conversations with others could be in regards to school topics.
A Virgo rising individual at their worst can be obsessed with popularity/attention/validation (Leo 12H) amongst their peers. They may not come off that way, and they themselves may not even know that they secretly love being in the center. Without realizing, they subconsciously try their hardest to be the best at everything, the smartest, the prettiest/handsomest, and when at their lowest they have no issue with taking down others who they deem threatening to their spotlight. They can also be secretly judgmental of those who they deem to be lesser, or not as attractive than they are.
Similarly, Iâve noticed Scorpio Risings at their worse can be very jealous and insecure individuals as well when it comes to appearances/validation. Iâve noticed this in women with this placement mostly, but when theyâre at their lowest/undeveloped, theyâre the type to only be friends with or surround themselves around people they think are worse than they are whether appearance, status, popularity wise etc. Undeveloped Scorpio rising females can be very competitive and refuse to have someone whoâs possibly better than they are around them, since they donât want to be compared to the other person or not chosen/not the favorite.
Libra moonâs are the people that start the drama and then say âI donât like dramaâ lol. What they really mean is they love it, as long as theyâre not involved
If you find that you always have bad experiences with those whose signs fall in your 11H, check your sidereal chart. Odds are your 11H sign in your western chart is the 12H sign in your sidereal, which would explain the bad experiences.
Aquarius women are always so successful in everything they do, Iâve rarely met an Aquarius woman that doesnât have their shit together in every category. Theyâre giving face, body, money, career, healthy love life and social life etc. The men on the other handâŠ
Yes, those with Saturn in the 7H have a hard time finding the one. They go through years of cycles and repetitive situations in love but those who find their person find their FOREVER person. People with this placement may be the last to be in a relationship/get married amongst their peers, however theyâre usually the happiest and most successful once they do compared to friends or family who just hurried up and settled and usually separate/divorce. Saturn 7Hâs standards and boundaries may also seem to high or unrealistic to those around them, but theyâre just asking for bare minimum. It only seems that way to others around them because they were raised in a group or environment that had no standards low key.
The good thing about 2H stelliums is that you attract money, possessions and success super easily. The bad thing is that those around you could ONLY see you as your success/money, and may try to bleed you dry of what you have and take advantage. Strong boundaries and not being overly giving is recommended with these placements.
Mars in the 12H can attract people who are secretly aggressive or hostile towards them. They may never know someone is holding a grudge on them and they may attract secret animosity or competition as a result. May have issues with male figures in their life and wonât even know it.
Jupiter in the 6H, especially with Cancer or Libra there; get along with animals sooo well. These are literal pet whisperers and itâs rare for them to not have at least 3 cats/dogs. They love animals more than people sometimes.
Part 4 will be out soon. đđ»
