under the cover of night, you await his presence. your face illuminated by the harsh light of your phone as you mindlessly scroll, laid on your stomach cuddled up against your pillow. you had been waiting hours for a visit that wasn’t even guaranteed, eyes struggling to remain open and yet you held up.

he will come. surely, he misses you as you miss him.

your room was shrouded in darkness, the thick clouds preventing even the moon from shining her silvery rays through your window. it was cool, too; the chill of november seeping in through the old, weary walls, the only warmth coming from your body, heating the one spot on the bed that you hadn’t moved from since you got out of the shower.

you have already proven yourself to him; you thought so, anyway. his mind games, his puzzles, his riddles, his little tests of loyalty… you had done it all perfectly, hadn’t you? why does he insist on—

to quell your excitement, you stayed in bed, merely glancing back at the window. it was unlocked — he knew that. you supposed knocking was just a polite pleasantry, which you found mildly humorous. you waved him in, and he followed suit, allowing the biting wind to slice through the otherwise still air of your bedroom, but only for a moment.

“i didn’t think you’d be awake.” he spoke, his smooth, albeit muffled, voice was a welcomed change to the drowning silence that swallowed your whole apartment.

“i was waiting for you.” you murmur, sitting up and tossing your phone somewhere by your pillow. he shifted uncomfortably at that.

you slide out of bed, falling into his arms, fitting perfectly. his jacket was cold, as was the leather of his mask as you press your lips against it, eyes fluttering shut and hands holding his face against yours. his glasses bump against the edge of your cheek.

“how about tonight, eddie?” you ask, readjusting his glasses as his hands fall to your hips; you can hear him breathing.

he tenses. he doesn’t even have to say anything before you know his answer.

“you know me, angel.” he says. he’s been saying this for weeks. ever since you first asked to see him. who he was behind his ‘true skin.’ his gloved hand rests against the side of your neck, averting his gaze to focus on playing with your hair, trying to avoid this subject altogether.

“if you can tell me who i am, i’ll take it off.”

there was nothing that hurt him more than those three little words, you knew that. in the palm of your hand you held the Riddler’s greatest weakness, and he hated you for it.

if he didn’t love you, too, he’d have your head for all the power you dare have over him.

“i…” his eyes find yours, his stomach twisting. “if you can tell me who i am, i’ll take it off.”

you wake up alone the next morning, your clothes still strewn across your bedroom floor. the spot next to you is cold; he’s been gone for a while — there was no trace of him. as if he was never here.

“morning, patrick.” you greet your neighbour as you exit your apartment. he was leaving for work; possibly the only one in your building who worked as early as you.

“m-morning.” he nods, mumbling, his glasses sliding down the curve of his nose.

he was a cute man, and perhaps if you weren’t irrevocably in love with a terrorist, you’d ask him out for coffee.

“hope you have a good day. i’ll see you this evening, yeah?” you say as your turn to leave, stopping once you catch the way he perks up, eyes shining in a way you’d never seen from your timid neighbour.

“what?”

your face heats up in embarrassment, “no, sorry— i-i meant, like— if we catch each other after work.”

“oh.” he visibly deflated. despite how nice he is, patrick parker is a strange, strange man. “yeah. i’ll see you. this evening.”

Any time i have a meltdown or a panic attack or whatever and i don’t know what to do with myself, i can listen to everybody’s waiting and she helps me work through my emotions.

I aways feel so understood, like it helping me through what i am feeling and that i am strong enough to handle what i am feeling and i will get through it.

I’ve been listening to the mlp soundtrack. I listened to at the gala song and had this idea!

What if Fairy World hosted a gala/party to celebrate Hazel, Winn, Jasmine, and Antony saving Fairy World(I know realistically they wouldn’t but let a girl dream)?

So I assigned them to the mane 6’s gala outfits! Here are my thoughts. I would love to hear your thoughts or opinions in the replies or reblogs! Obviously some outfits would need to be redesigned to match their taste, style, etc. but this is just in general!

I would give Hazel, twilight’s gala outfit. I feel like it would fit her vibes. It would probably be a suit since Hazel seems to like wearing suits over dresses. Maybe the stars could be pink and green for Cosmo and Wanda!

For Winn, I would give them Rainbow Dash’s outfit. I don’t know if they would wear a dress or suit since I don’t think we’ve seen them in any formal wear (please correct me if I’m wrong!!) so it’s your decision! It could be a dress, suit, a dress mixed with a suit, or a suit mixed with a dress!

For Jasmine, I would give her Pinkie Pie's dress. I feel it definitely matches her vibes! Same with Winn, I don't know if she would wear a dress or suit, or even a mix since we haven’t seen her in formal wear (please do correct me I’m wrong!!) It's your decision.

For Antony, I was kinda stuck 😭😭 I really wanted to give him a mane 6 outfit, but he would probably just wear a plain old suit. So it’s your decision. Either an applejack suit (but you can choose a dress or a mix!) or a just plain old suit.

I need more selkie theon (and asha. I just think that would be a vibe. fuck the greyjoy sigil being a kraken for a moment and let them be seals) content.

like the opportunity to have theon's coat taken by ned when he's made his ward is right there and it is perfect and beautiful and tragic.

and you could build on that depending on the version of the selkie myth/story you're going off of (I personally love the song of the sea version of selkies for story writing). maybe he can't talk without it, maybe he gets sick, maybe his voice has magical properties of sorts.

I have this one concept in my head that I don't have the time to write, but it goes something along the lines of theon getting sick after years away from his coat and the stark kids have to find his coat and drag his slowly dying ass to the bay of seals (cause y'know bay of seals and theon's a selkie so he'll turn into a seal... I thought it was creative).

also, in a lot of versions of selkies, when they get sick, their hair turns white, which is on brand for theon. they're also pretty, their stories are typically soaked to the bone in tragedy, they're normally held captive/tortured, amongst other things, which are also very on brand for theon.

and maybe you get some selkie to selkie telepathy of sorts, so when theon finally enter the water a seal again, asha books it to come find him, cause its been years since she's been able to feel him (I'm soft for them, I will create the most improbable and ridiculous scenario's to bring them together and for them to have soft sibling moments).

all and all, theon being a selkie is something I need more content of, please and thank you.
