tbh in my mind there is a chance between Noel being undercover in newyork for awhile, and Oscar working at a soup kitchen and being a clergyman that they have met and may have loosely known eachother prior to Arthur showing up in their lives. they both work in fields that require working with the community to some degree so theres a chance they might be like "oh thats that guy. I know his name and what he does."
Anyways I'm saying theres a chance Oscar unknowingly met a Noel helping show someone where the soup kitchen is while he was out and about
But also that he may have met a very recently post prison pitts Noel, gave him food, and told him he'd always be welcome in the church if he was there but just never got his name and never connected the dots when he saw him as a detective later
STOP IM ALREADY SO ILL ABOUT THEM
just the idea… that Noel was so malnourished and tired and changed after the prison pits that he’s completely unrecognizable years later when he’s recovered and back to looking somewhat like his old self. Oscar never even realizes, and Noel would never tell him.
Liam Gallagher knew well that the way he sang was tough on his voice and it must have been so deeply frustrating to have people saying oh he’s only the singer. yes, he was. the singer is sort of important, and he knows what he’s about. his characteristic tone is an over-engaged voice and a trained singer would never do that but it’s Liam … he knows where he sees beauty and he goes for it. the fact that he can go from that voice to his very pure head voice and back down again, flawlessly, consistently, is unbelievable vocal control. and then people, well-meaningly, say his voice is ‘raw’ as a compliment, well. his voice is unique. because he made it that way :’)
funny story from my latest playthrough, during the portion where you're playing as sirius and have to find noel and claire i legitimately could not find noel. and i mean like. i KNOW every hiding spot i even double checked it within rpgmaker that i was checking all of them and yet i played the minigame 3 whole times and noel was NOWHERE. claire didnt have the same issue i always found her. and i was like wow noel sure is good at hide and seek, so good infact that i cant even find hi........................... oh
I just watched the actual performance for Noel’s Lament AND HOLY FUCKING SHIT AHSHFJSKDBQJSBHDUSKAN FERAL SCREAMING GNAWING AT MY ENCLOSURE GROWLING AT THE VISITORS TEARING UP THE FLOORINT BITING THE ZOOKEEPERS
Look I need you to understand that if I do ever write super dark content in the back of my head I always want there to be a scene wherein Soap witnesses the reader absolutely destroy a man, like full on disarms and breaks him in 3 seconds flat.
And when you realise Soap has seen this? It's that one scene in Brooklyn 99, you are looking this man who thought you were this defenceless little thing dead in the eye and saying "who would ever believe you?"
The delicious mess Soap would be knowing that everything him and his boys were doing to you was only ever because you let them? Him not being able to stop imagining you domming Price or Ghost and his arousal at that being the thing that really makes him feel guilty even after all the abuse he subjected you to?
Him knowing that you're right, nobody would ever believe him. And even if they did he isn't sure he wants them to know because for him it is torture the way you sometimes give him little squeezes as if to remind him what you can do.
ooc: despite the setting I have chosen, Kim is Not Drunk here; she's just gotten to the bar as you've approached her, in my mind
Stellar opening. Five of five stars. Congratulations, I guess? You've narrowly avoided a very harrowing encounter.
*Kim's voice is dry as she sets down her bottle, rubbing the bridge of her nose before she spins around on the bar stool to actually look at who's approached her.*
*She looks him up and down for a moment, brow raised.*
I have a name, you know. Suspect you do, too. Generally what people offer, in an introduction.
*Grabbing her bottle back off the counter behind her, she takes a long swig from it before resting it in her lap, tapping her fingers along the neck of it.*
