another angle of lombo climbing the pole (the act of sluttery to start it all like a fucked up game of dominoes) to take down the jersey from the rafters has hit the towers because we needed another angle of benny pushing up lombos ass as he scales that thing like hes gonna get graded in gym class
slow dancing in a club...may the alcohol pour and that we might comfort in each others body as we become anonymous in the sea of thousands
do you ever think about the fact that on a random wednesdaythursday in a city practically 40 years away from being claimed by the sea and yet has put unimaginable money time and resources into pump systems to delay the onset for just a little while and yet is still plauged with flooding problems and is riddled with construction all around its city center making it both a "go-to destination" in terms of things to do and also a carcass of itself... in a little club... there is romance being borne anew again. quite frankly its beautiful may the hollow slabs of concrete bless this little coupling and may they ever continue to bring a precious bond to this team
also the juxtaposition of them being in their own world while lundy bounces and tries to hype up the crowd dear god i dont think any finn on this team knows how to dance but bless this dork anyways its the vibe that matters and hes passing with flying colours
also drunken sidestory that is sasha turning around and bumping into uvis and IMMEDIATELY GRABBING his shoulder to read the name of the jersey and going "Ba-lin-skis? Ah your name? Your name :)!" and uvis going "yeah :)!" and drags him into a hug like there was any other reaction he could have but hug the teddy bear that is sasha
I suppose the Matrix data flow was too overwhelming for our Archivist.
(Also if an eyestrain warning needs to be added, please tell me and I’ll add it as a title. I’m still getting used to what does and doesn’t count after coming from Instagram’s content warning rules)
I hope you don’t mind me asking, but what’s the deal with Mitch and his dad? Last night prompted a lot of Mitch Daddy Issues Marner comments and I was kinda lost. I know he started hockey like. Ridiculously young and there was one video I saw where he mentioned something about like a hockey deal with his dad where he was like yeah I won’t get into that and it had iffy vibes but?
i don't know like. full full details either tbh. but there is this vid from when mitch was little and he and his dad were in a local news story and that's one of the first things i ever saw about mitch. i think his dad's just been a pretty extreme helicoptor parent and made disparaging comments about how ppl dont take mitch seriously bc of his personality and involved himself in mitch's contract negotiations w the leafs to a degree that reflected badly on mitch. i think you can tell how there are definitely problems with their relationship in the way he talks about his dad to the media and how his "father" knows not to mention hockey around him bc he doesn't want to hear it... the evolution of that relationship where mitch now no longer wants him involved. to me......... he just kind of seems like a guy that was like way too heavily invested in his young kid getting into this sport and there's definitely something fractured there bc mitch has a lot of warmth for his mom and his brother when he talks about his family, but sometimes his dad is excluded from that. (AND as a purely speculative section to this, it's interesting that mitch finds himself very attached to dad figures on the team like patrick marleau, matt martin, jumbo, muzz, bogo, etc... like clearly there are some Feelings there and potentially a paternal void that he likes to fill by glomming on to men who aren't afraid to give him affection praise and love that he definitely craves.... there's an essay to be written abt this but i'll save it for someone funnier)
I made a new friend today! She was a 5yo girl, the daughter of a professor. She said hello to me, said I was pretty, showed me her little rhinestones, then when she decided I was cool, we ran around the offices jumping out from behind doors trying to scare her dad. She told me I was so silly because I asked if she worked here, and she was cracking up saying no, she's too little. I said that I'm a student and I'm big, so why can't she be a little professor? That really got her going, laughing and talking to me. I told her that she is so funny that she could teach clown, and she was just howling. It was so precious. She told a really funny joke she made up about pasta, and I said that she must be so proud of herself for being such a smart and clever girl. It really was a great time.
She didn't want me to leave tho lol, and I apologized to her dad for getting her so riled up. But he thanked me because apparently she'd been so reserved lately. She just started kindergarten, and she had been struggling with learning. He appreciated me referring to her as smart and clever (and it was clear she did too). A friend I was with who has met this child told me when we were leaving that she has never seen her so talkative and energized. Usually she just hides behind her dad and doesn't engage.
I love children, and I'm never around any kids anymore. I don't work with youth very often like I had been for the past few years. I'm also so far from my family, and there's a shit ton of kids back home. So it was really nice to play with her for a little bit as I've been really missing kids. It was also nice to be an adult assuring a child that she was smart, clever, and funny especially when she needed to hear it.
Y'all. The world is so fucking rough. Kids should be having good times, and we should be supporting them.

The way I was looking forward to seeing granit live at metlife stadium in a couple weeks. Y’all know he’s never coming back for coaching and it has nothing to do with him not having a starting position. The family reasons are what they are. But it hurts, it hurts, it hurts
I go on pinterest. I find godawful takes about bungou stray dogs. I leave a comment with evidence that supports otherwise for the most absurd takes. I leave pinterest.
I can tell you for a fact that Leo placements think 'you wish you were me' like once a day but in our defense---- we are actually literally right it's in the rulebook
seeing mashima discourse on twt kinda made me realize something... on most shonen series i grew up with... Fairy Tail was actually one of the rare ones I grew up with where the protagonist, the main POV the story, is a woman.
I'm talking about this in a way where the majority of the cast aren't men or women due to appealing to certain audiences. (Like Sailor Moon (ily) etc). I mean like in series where the casts' gender are generally distributed.
And it's not like the women are written in a way where you give them one arc and they disappear into the series. Even if they aren't the main highlight anymore they still appear on arcs necessary.
Heck, the main gang (Lucy, Natsu, Erza, Gray, Wendy) almost have the equal amount of women and men. Lucy, Erza, and Wendy aren't treated as supports either. They're pretty much essential to the team. Lucy is intelligent and her deductions pretty much helped them multiple times. Erza is the leader and her ability to made the proper judgement pulled the team through. Wendy is a healer, support, and attacker and she's able to fulfill a wide variety of roles.
Sexualization aside since a lot of shonen mangas pretty much do that, the women are pretty much treated with respect and even if Mashima is not the best writer of women out there, atleast he has the sense of giving the female characters he creates proper roles that doesn't diminish them from the narrative.
It's not also like, they receive a major arc then just become support. The way Fairy tail started, the first arcs were more of an introduction to the main gang's backstories. We see their history and them making peace (or atleast resolving) with it and see how they finally move on. Then as the series went on we received new arcs and developments from them. They don't just disappear into the background. They are still written with love. And y'know what, I appreciate that

I had a really awful experience volunteering at my programs fundraiser event last night which is really sad bc it was SO fun last year :( but I'm trying to reframe how I'm looking at it bc as stressed as I was when I started crying SO many of my classmates and professors came and hugged me and told me I was doing a good job and I'm trying to remember that kindness and love instead
